Synopsis:
Media mogul Elliot Carver (Jonathan Pryce) wants his news empire to reach every country on the globe, but the Chinese government will not allow him to broadcast there. Ripley Under Ground Roger Spottiswoode Germany/France/UK/Isle of Man, 2005 ★★ It's fine, I guess, maybe. Ridiculously convenient, as these stories go, but it's nothing too outrageous.
I do believe that moving the story into a more modern setting hurts its credibility a bit (autopsies were better at the time than in the 70s) but whatever, it's harmless entertainment (with some jarring editing to boot).
