alright, I'm doing fantasy football at work, and now that I'm out, I 100% plan on having a trans related team name, but I need more ideas
right now I'm leaning towards "The Trans Agenda" but I've always been real bad at coming up with team names

Fic prompt: The Pink Ladies and the T-Birds become convinced that Cynthia’s dating someone and won’t leave her alone until she tells them so she freaks out and tells them she’s dating Buddy
Immediately afterwards she rushes to Buddy’s house and pretty much goes “hey so I know that I’ve told you over and over again how much I hate you but can you pretty please pretend to date me” and he’s like ok fine but you owe me
And so the entire thing is just those two fumbling around trying to convince everyone that they’re dating (which is much harder for Cynthia than it is for Buddy) and the two of them becoming actual friends

what sport each marvel character would pursue professionally
𓏲 ࣪₊♡𓂃
steve rogers
american football or regular football! his strength and endurance as a super soldier would come in handy and he'd love to "fight for his country". I can imagine him being a famous and popular baller like ronaldo or messi! if he were to play american football he'd for sure be the quarterback and if he were to get into regular football he'd be the goalkeeper!
𓏲 ࣪₊♡𓂃
bruce banner
as hulk probably something like wrestling (but only when he's really in control of the green guy) and as bruce he would pursue chess! I don't know why but it somehow makes sense to me? I think because being able to play chess is associated with being really smart and bruce is? Idk but I can totally see chess being his nerdy interest that he can geek out about! love that for him
𓏲 ࣪₊♡𓂃
kate bishop & clint barton
so obvious but archery! maybe the two of them would even be a trainer & prodigy sort of duo? clint maybe used to be an internationally famous archer and now he's a trainer for his young prodigy kate bishop!
𓏲 ࣪₊♡𓂃
sam wilson
Idk why but I can see sam pursuing so many sports?? TuT but the ones that come to my mind are somehow running (this is also sort of canon), tennis (don't even ask) and ski jumping (yk because of the whole falcon and flying thingy? flying isn't really a sport tho irl so ski jumping is the closest to it in my opinion)

heyyy, guess who’s back with more thoughts about itoshi rin????
so, we’ve already established that rin is a very extrinsically motivated person, at least when it comes to football. he doesn’t play football for himself, and he never has. and in a setting like blue lock i just don’t think that’s a sustainably way to play football. blue lock is a place that wants people have a real love for the sport, and would play it every single day of their lives if they could. ego wants people who want to win and want to be the best striker in the world.
rin,, doesn’t really want that. sure, he wants to beat isagi and prove his brother wrong, but that’s not really a longterm, sustainable goal. what happens when he succeeds? does he just stop and say, “okay, that’s good enough”? what happens if he never succeeds? if isagi just continually gets better and better and rin never beats him in a way that makes sae acknowledge him?
having extrinsic motivations is good and normal, but you also eventually have to do things that you want to do for you or you’re going to get burnt out. and i feel like that’s the path that rin’s headed towards if we’re being realistic about this. he just goes and goes and goes in a really unsustainable way, and eventually it’s going to catch up to him.
he’s a really interesting foil to isagi, who’s motivations are almost entirely intrinsic. part of why isagi’s mindset feels more sustainable to me is because he really only plays football for himself. he plays because he really loves the sport. and we don’t ever really see that in rin, so i feel like it’s eventually going to kind of blow up in his face as we’ve seen in previous rounds of blue lock.
or i’m entirely wrong about this. idk, i’m not kaneshiro. i’m just saying that i don’t think that rin’s got anything sustainable going on in how he plays football ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯

is there a way for him to get over these issues w out surgery or is he just gonna keep relapsing genuinely need answers. but we don’t know and every body is different so no one can really give me an actual answer but 😭😭
it's sadly (and frustratingly) not really as easy as 'no surgery' or 'surgery'. The injuries he suffered from are in two different areas of his thighs.
The first injury in September 2021 was located in the rectus femoris in his left leg which is a part of the quadriceps femoris and is located at the front of the thigh. He suffered from the same injury but in the right leg in August 2023 and now, in March 2024.
His injury in April 2022 was located in the femoral biceps in his left leg which is part of the hamstrings and located at the back of the thigh. In February 2023 he picked up the same injury but in the right leg.
For the injury/ discomfort in his right thigh in May 2023 and the knock in December 2023, Barça never specified what injury he suffered from.
As you can see, he suffered from two injuries in the left leg (in two different locations) and four injuries in the right leg (one at the back, two at the front and one unspecified)
For the quad injuries, a surgery normally is only really an option if he would've partially or completely torn his quad tendon which is further down and connected to the knee (which luckily he never did and hopefully never will!!!!). The quad muscles normally heal and scar by themselves and surgery most likely couldn't just magically solve the issue that Pedri is suffering from (that doesn’t mean that surgery isn’t an option at all or won’t be an option in the future but rather one that isn’t normally chosen)
In Pedri's case, his quadriceps injuries can be managed conservatively. So sadly his option right now is to do everything all over again and manage his minutes and workload even more carefully in the future. The first couple of injuries he was rushed back and now he sadly has to deal with the consequences of it.
Right now it may seem like a never-ending circle but take Iniesta and Gündogan as an example, both went through an ordeal of injuries in their thigh area when they were younger and overcame it. People might not remember it or don't know it because they were too young but Messi suffered from multiple injuries when he was younger as well and look at him now.
I'm not trying to compare the individual situations of any of those three to Pedri's from a medical point of view but what I'm trying to say is that Pedri is only 21. Let him recover fully and take all the time his body needs instead of trying to push towards deadlines for him to be available for certain games. Manage his minutes better (I think the approach after the knock in December was a lot better than the times before), get better medical and fitness staff, etc.
If there's one thing about Pedri, it's that he always returned just as good or even better from injuries. And if there is anyone that I fully believe in that can turn this around, it's Pedri ❤️

This is something that I wanted to share since not a lot of players talk about sexuality, homosexuality in sports especially not people who are religious like Giroud.
These are Olivier's interview extracts about the subject over the years :
Tumblr media
In 2012, he was the first French football player ever to do a front cover for a French gay magazine.
"For me this magazine is like any other, I don't make a difference."
Extract from an interview where he was asked about homosexuality in sports and the coming out of a German football player in 2018 :
"I realised it is impossible for a professional football player to come out."
"There is still a lot of work to be done in football to accept openly gay players, that's an understatement"
2019
"If I was, I don't think I would say it, it's too hard"
It's a taboo subject in changing rooms, both in football and in rugby."
Not every player has to show support for people in the community but as more players come out, I find important to highlight people who do show support especially when they're more of a high profile person in the sport.

💀 there's this person in one of my circles who likes another football team than i do (not the problem) but she acts like she's the end all be all of football knowledge and it pisses me off. she just started watching the sport like 6 months ago and will not hear any criticism/learn anything new about anything but her one (1) club. will acknowledge every departure from her club this summer but oddly will not acknowledge the great (black) new signings. her vibes are awful and she needs to respect the new signings asap or i will start throwing hands. also she refuses to watch the women's game for some reason and that pisses me off too like grow up accept gayness into your life, straight woman.
GOD. the fit of betrayal I feel when sports fan in fun online spaces have bad takes I'd expect from normies... I expected better from you!! we all expected better from you!!! if I wanted casual “ew who cares about women's football” I literally can get that from the annoying dudefans at the bar down the road. if I wanted casual racism I'd go on reddit. I think you should obnoxiously share highlight reels of the new guys + women's side every time she's online like some kind of passive aggressive warfare.
