So because I apparently have nothing better to do, I decided to list the names that Spike used when he was talking to Buffy ever since he realized he's in love with her, and the number of times he used those names. So here they are, by season, for posterity's sake:
Season Five:
Buffy-9
Slayer-4
Love-4
Baby-2
Summers-2
Pet-1
Honey-1
Sunshine-1
Blondie-1
Season 6:
Buffy-26
Love-15
Slayer-12
Pet-4
Sweetheart-1
Goldilocks-1
Buff-1
Season 7:
Buffy-18
Love-4
Pet-3
Lamb-1
Slayer-1(it should be noted that he only called her this before he revealed that he'd earned his human soul back)
I know no one asked for this but y'all have it anyway. Infer what you will from this knowledge.

The thing that gets me the most about Nie Huaisang's quest for vengeance is that when it's finally accomplished, he just looks tired.
Like, Jin Guangyao is a practiced hand at appearing inoffensive and biding his time until the right moment to strike, but when he does, he's always got that satisfied smirk on his face. Just so smug and vicious and pleased that he brought them low and he is the victor.
Nie Huaisang just looks tired. Sad. Even in the moments leading up, he looks intent, maybe even angry, but not happy or pleased or excited.
It just kind of hammers home to me that this revenge plot is against his nature, and just how much grief he felt at not only Nie Mingjue's death, but the betrayal and hurt that Jin Guangyao did it, because they were friends.

Not to skk post on main but that scene from Dead Apple made me insane for I think a slightly different reason than most...
Tumblr media
Ok so. Gonna be honest. When I first watched this, the ah... positioning... did not occur to me at all, other than thinking "that looks really uncomfy :/".
I was too focused on what Dazai's hand does here. He first pushes him. Ok so he was trying to stop him from getting up and losing contact due to the fog. Cool. That serves a practical purpose.
But then Chuuya falls unconscious and Dazai's hand loses that contact for a second before he lowers it back down to rest on his head.
The thing is, there's no need for him to do that. Chuuya is already in contact with Dazai's legs and his ability works through clothes. Moreover, it wasn't just a continuation of pushing him down - there's a slight delay before he sets his hand back on his head.
He sets his hand there just because. And, due to the delay/hesitation, it appears to be a conscious choice to do so as well. Chuuya's out. There's no one around to act for.
I watched that and went holy shit that's genuine, isn't it? It's such a simple gesture of fondness, maybe even a bit of protectiveness, but it means a lot from someone as emotionally closed off as Dazai.
It's... weirdly sweet. He appears to have done it after Chuuya lost all his friends (again...) during DHC in the manga adaptation too, which is... :(
And now, with seeing Dazai immediately start playing with Chuuya's hair in the latest Fifteen adaptation, it also doubles as really funny to me. He saw a chance to touch his hair again and took it. What is wrong with this man.

So something that caught my attention with the Dragon symbolism stuff with the world nobles vs how it’a used in the RA led me down a rabbit hole that I found interesting enough to share.
So the whole thing stems from two instances of dragon claws being depicted in One Piece.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So! First we have the Celestial Dragon Claw, four clawed, used as branding to mark word noble “property”. Then we have the Dragon Claw Fist, three clawed, a fighting style that we can assume was developed by the RA using the Finger Pistol of the Six Powers as a base.
The difference here is the number of claws, which is what lead me down the rabbit hole in the first place.
The consensus is that the claw number of a depicted dragon is actually a class indicator. Bear in mind that these observations stem from Chinese folklore and its place in Imperial Chinese law, so it might not hold water. And as always do correct me if I’m off in any of these points.
The number of claws and the colorations of dragons in Imperial China was an extremely important thing, and misrepresentations of these could quite literally get you and others executed for acts of treason.
Five clawed yellow or gold (or red during the Ming Dynasty) dragons are a symbol of imperial power for the emperor alone to use. It was illegal for nobles and civilians to wear anything depicting a five-clawed yellow or gold dragon in Imperial China. It was considered- as stated above- an act of treason, and offenders (and their families) could be imprisoned or executed for the crime.
Four clawed dragons are a symbol of nobility. Lesser in the hierarchy than the imperial dragon, but still a mark of high status. It was illegal for civilians to wear depictions of four-clawed dragons. Again, a treasonous act punishable by death or imprisonment under Imperial law.
Civilians could depict dragons with three claws. This was allowed.
So, we can make an assumption here that through these observations, the RA use the three clawed dragon as symbolic of the class warfare that is happening in the One Piece world. But there is another thing!!!
There are these things called Dragon Dance Competitions, where a nine-segmented dragon puppet is manipulated by a team of dancers and musicians to have the dragon chase a pearl- a symbol of wisdom- across the allocated space. These are very interesting to watch, and I highly recommend giving one a watch, since there are plenty of them to see on YouTube. Do take care if you are photosensitive or sound sensitive, as they are bright and loud.
A tradition for these competitions and others (such as lion dances and dragon boat races) is called an “eye dotting ceremony”, which happens at the beginning of the competition. An authorized party comes by to paint the pupils on a dragon to symbolically awaken or- relevant to this post- empower it.
The Celestial Dragon’s Claw is a symbol nobility, and likely has high amounts of regulation on how it can and cannot be used, with infractions on those regulations met with imprisonment at best, and cipher pol or a buster call at worst. It would be highly guarded, and was used to brand people to mark them as property, as we know.
The dragon depicted in the introduction to the Dragon Claw Fist that Sabo utilizes? Three claws, no pupils. It is an unempowered civilian dragon- a weakling by dragon standards- and it is beating the shit out of a World Government official.
Tumblr media
Class warfare symbolism. Revolutionary symbolism.

Does Albert have a high alcohol tolerance? How does he behave with reader when he gets really drunk?
(it will be great if we have some smut😭😭🙏🙏)
ah, my specialty. i serve alcohol for a living and have to re-learn this stuff for my recertifications every two years lol
i imagine he could tolerate a bit more than the average person pre t-virus, but after is definitely something to consider.
wesker is definitely a guy with muscle even if he's not a brick shithouse like how chris ended up. that said, muscle mass does impact alcohol's effectiveness and so does body weight.
Tumblr media
(90kg = 198.4lbs) jesus christ i need him to lay on me like a weighted blanket
plus, amab people tend to have more of the enzyme dehydrogenase which contributes to the rate at which alcohol is broken down, they typically have greater body-water content, and so on, all of which affects alcohol's impact on a person.
these things considered, i'd say pre t-virus wesker could probably knock back a couple drinks (depending on the type. wine vs beer vs liquor) before really feeling the effect, but it's also going to depend on the rate of consumption and if he's perhaps eating anything as well.
i would wager his tolerance grows after mutating. i absolutely think he becomes even more tolerant after uroboros enters his system given he grows significantly larger in the final fight (hot).
smut headcanons below the cut:
Tumblr media
drunk wesker can end up a few ways: lamenting his choices, giggly and/or sleepy, or intensely horny.
should you be lucky enough to end up with the last of the three, expect him to be quite unlike himself.
precise touches become fumbling grasps. he's less methodical, simply going along with whatever his alcohol addled mind decides is the best path to sate his need.
depending on how intoxicated he is, he may end up on his back insisting that you ride him. he'll grip the sheets and give weak thrusts into your heat. wesker becomes downright needy.
he'll be much more vocal. every sound that would typically be a suppressed moan or a simple groan is now a full whine and whimper. fuck him right and he'll sing for you.
the best, though, has to be how he'll look at you. there's always some degree of reverence in his eyes when you two have sex, but he'll look at you like there's a halo over your head while you take him apart. there might even be a weak smile or two that tugs at the corner of his mouth before you wipe it off his face with a particularly languid movement of your hips. your name will fall from his lips like breathy prayers until he's curling up to cling to you while he rides wave after wave of pure bliss.
expect plenty of kisses and snuggling in the afterglow. maybe even a lazy bubble bath to get cleaned up. by the time you two are dry and back in bed, he'll have come down just enough to tug you into his arms as if to take back the reins he'd so happily handed you earlier.

This is Chadd, he's from the Inx in Conv/rgence, he loves Jinx, and he organizes elaborate acts of terrorism/performance art against Piltover in Jinx's name. And I NEED this strain of Jinx stan to make it into season 2 of Arcane.
Tumblr media
Chadd is the best example of the kind Zaunite that takes their admiration of Jinx seriously and let's it influence their own violence and art, because yes, he plays guitar and sings with the Inx's band. Chadd's an obnoxious, in your face, musically-talented (but borderline nerdy), organized weirdo that gathers all the other stans to plan aerial concerts/bombing events on Piltover.
He's such a dedicated stan (in the concept art) that he dresses up like Jinx too, shorts, fishnets, collar and all. Chadd even has his Jinx tattoo drawn in the same placement aswhere Jinx has her own.
Tumblr media
Please Arcane, let obsessive freaks like Chadd overwhelm the chembarons next season as Jinx's stans believe the chembarons don't pay her enough proper tribute. Let Jinx be mildly amused at their antics and keep them around for logistics and grunt work.

In the anime, William says “it’s my loss, Sherly.” And then immediately cuts Sherlock’s arm so that he will let go of him.
In the manga, before he cuts Sherlock, he says “Live on and atone for my sins, you say? There might have been such a future… but now it seems like fate won’t show me any mercy[*]… That scaffold cannot possibly support this much weight…”
Sherlock tells him “throw away the damn sword… and use both hands to grab mine,” to which he responds “The only one I wish to have return home alive… is you”. And then he cuts Sherlock.
And although it may not seem like it, I think this difference greatly changes the meaning of William’s intended final actions.
In the anime, William forced Sherlock to let go of him to ensure/hasten his own death, getting the final word despite admitting that Sherlock did beat him in the end.
In the manga, William forced Sherlock to let go because he knew that Sherlock wouldn’t let go on his own even if it meant the bridge giving out and them both falling to their deaths. He cut him not because he wanted to die, but because he wanted Sherlock to live.
*I’ve also thought a lot about how this line almost feels like William regretting not being able to live to see the future he set in motion the way Sherlock is trying to persuade him to. As if maybe Sherlock had given him a tiny spark of desire to live on, but he can see that there is no longer a way for Sherlock to pull him back up onto the bridge without their combined weight dooming both of them.

You don't have a mother
Tumblr media
From the perspective that God is the mother of the angels, and by extension the demons, this sign is particularly dark.
In fact, I believe that's the direct intent, since we have some evidence that all (over the overwhelming majority of) humans go to Hell, and so anyone who is there is statistically likely to be there with their mother.

fuck it I'm elaborating on that last post actually. My preface is that I don't work in or study marketing, but I had to do extensive unit on it for my actual course which means while I'm not an expert I do know enough that the arc annoys the shit out of me! This is a disorganized rant on my part, no one read too much into it.
POINT A.1
a lot of the work we see Keeley do in season one and two isn't actually PR, it's brand coordination. That's a separate department to Public Relations. They both fall under the marketing department umbrella, and there is an overlap in responsibilities depending on the size of the corporate entity but they aren't the same thing!
This doesn't actually matter that much, and sometimes it varies from company to company how marketing teams are structured anyway but it bothers me that it's called PR when she's doing Brand Coordination! They aren't the same thing!
POINT A.2
jumping off from point A.1 into the actual rant, the show likes to treat Keeley as an all-rounder, which I'm sure is just for convenience sake so they don't have to write in or hire actors to actually be Richmond's marketing department, but I think that's stupid! Most corporate marketing and communications roles in real life require at least a bachelors degree, she wouldn't have the necessary knowledge or experience to fulfill multiple of these roles at once.
Which leads me to my actual point, which is that Keeley is supposed to be a self made character but they consistently just hand her things.
Rebecca just hands her a job she isn't qualified for, very similarly to what she does to Ted, only with Keeley her motivations are to provide Keeley with a new avenue* in life rather than Keeley actively seeking these opportunities for herself! It's not self made if Keeley isn't trying to make it happen for herself.
I will admit it's been a while since I properly watched season one, so I might be wrong about that above statement, but it doesn't change the fact Keeley, much like Ted and probably even moreso than Ted who is at least qualified to coach to some degree, is not qualified for the job that Rebecca just hands her in any formal capacity.
(*side note; I can't remember if Rebecca was being genuine or trying to sabotage the club some more when she offered Keeley the job, but if she was doing the latter that is an entirely separate rant)
Then, they just hand her her own company she is equally underqualified for! She has maybe a year of formal marketing experience at the time, she has no formal training and she is a free lancer with one known client. They never show us Keeley working for anyone but Richmond! in fact, she works within Richmond, so it's safe to say they are literally her only client!
look, I'm not saying it's impossible for her to have gotten a free lance PR job at Richmond, that isn't actually my main concern with Keeley's arc, it's a good starting point, but it's important that it's acknowledged that Keeley isn't as prepared for the role as she could be. It's a conflict and conflict is what makes stories interesting.
My main problem is that they ignore the fact she isn't qualified, make her seem perfect and on top of everything, give her multiple legs up via friendship nepotism and dumb luck, and then when she is finally shown to be struggling, the rug is swept out from under her due to external, bullshit factors that have nothing to do with her actual professional struggles. And then she gets bailed out, via more friendship nepotism. It's BORING! You had a perfect plot sitting right there and you stepped over it!
POINT B
But Asteria, I hear you asking, why do you keep calling Keeley a free lancer? Because, dear reader, if she actually worked for Richmonds Marketing department, she would be in their marketing department!
There are mutliple interconnecting roles in a marketing department, data analysts, social media teams, media coordinators! They typically work together in an office building, similar to Keeley's PR company! There are a lot of different roles and a lot of different employees involved! think cubicles and break rooms, not a private office in the dungeon of a stadium.
So, Keeley from what the show tells and shows, is a free lance PR consultant not for the stadium itself, but for members of the team and later the greyhounds as an entity. This is where I would veer off course!
Instead of ending season two with a bullshit out of the blue here's your own company girl boss arc, I'd have Rebecca offer Keeley some kind of formal training avenue to get some more experience, build up her portfolio, and make progress in her career via some kind of internship or traineeship with Nelson Roads marketing team.
Why does this cause conflict? Because Keeley sucks at it! Keeley, for as friendly and sociable as she is, is not a corporate team player. She canonically doesn't understand corporate etiquette, she doesn't respect a lot of corporate practices, and to the people who have actually spent years of their lives studying and working for their positions, she doesn't deserve to be there!
She's there because she's a rich model whose friends with their millionaire boss. She's not self made to them, she hasn't come from nothing, she owns a mansion and wears designer almost exclusively. She has weekly lunch with the owner of their company, she was dating their star player and now she's dating the assistant coach, she got hired with no experience or education because she has friends in high places, if I was some poor marketing employee with student debt who worked my ass off to be there? I'd be pissed off, I wouldn't like her!
and Keeley is a very make her own way person, she isn't prepared for the rules and parameters that working in a corporate environment has! She also isn't used to not being liked! The team all love her, she makes friends really easy! It isn't an environment that she is comfortable in or used too, and she struggles with it!
Her arc would be about deciding if it's worth it! Where to compromise and where to hold to fast! Proving that she does deserve to be there to herself and to others! Realizing that she has had a lot of things handed to her, and that she is not as self made and independent as she previously claimed to be! Deciding how to proceed with that realization! Working on herself to understand the perspective of others!
You can give her a crisis of confidence and self doubt with that! You can make her actively trying to learn more and better herself! Give her the Elle Woods Arc She Deserved! She doesn't have to be The Boss, she just has to be an active character in her own story!
POINT C
Splitting Keeley from the main cast was dumb! It was just a bad choice! It's an ensemble show, ensemble shows never work when you split up the ensemble. That's part of why season three felt so weird to watch!
I love Keeley, I really do, but her story was not substantial enough to stand on its own! She needs to be connected to Nelson Road and Richmond one way or another, or she might of well have been written off because the KJPR story line doesn't serve the over all plot or Keeley's character development. She starts and ends the season in the exact same spot, and she contributes almost nothing to the main story line.
This point of mine is more of technical perspective on writing but if something doesn't serve a purpose in a story, especially a story that is actively trying to be concise like the third season of ted lasso allegedly was, you need to either change it so that it does serve a purpose or cut it. Characters aren't people, they are tools used within a narrative to tell a story. Keeley wasn't used effectively as a tool to the narrative in any capacity.
Also I just think it would've been a lot more interesting to explore Roy and Keeley's relationship breaking down in real time. Them breaking up off screen and then ignoring each other for most of the season was, once again, boring!
In Conclusion
I hate the KJPR story line because it was so easy to fix and it could've elevated the narrative in so many ways but nooooooo we had to have THAT shit show. You could even keep Barbara in my version. Like,, she can still be there and it would work better. They fumbled so bad, Keeley deserved better.

heyyy, guess who’s back with more thoughts about itoshi rin????
so, we’ve already established that rin is a very extrinsically motivated person, at least when it comes to football. he doesn’t play football for himself, and he never has. and in a setting like blue lock i just don’t think that’s a sustainably way to play football. blue lock is a place that wants people have a real love for the sport, and would play it every single day of their lives if they could. ego wants people who want to win and want to be the best striker in the world.
rin,, doesn’t really want that. sure, he wants to beat isagi and prove his brother wrong, but that’s not really a longterm, sustainable goal. what happens when he succeeds? does he just stop and say, “okay, that’s good enough”? what happens if he never succeeds? if isagi just continually gets better and better and rin never beats him in a way that makes sae acknowledge him?
having extrinsic motivations is good and normal, but you also eventually have to do things that you want to do for you or you’re going to get burnt out. and i feel like that’s the path that rin’s headed towards if we’re being realistic about this. he just goes and goes and goes in a really unsustainable way, and eventually it’s going to catch up to him.
he’s a really interesting foil to isagi, who’s motivations are almost entirely intrinsic. part of why isagi’s mindset feels more sustainable to me is because he really only plays football for himself. he plays because he really loves the sport. and we don’t ever really see that in rin, so i feel like it’s eventually going to kind of blow up in his face as we’ve seen in previous rounds of blue lock.
or i’m entirely wrong about this. idk, i’m not kaneshiro. i’m just saying that i don’t think that rin’s got anything sustainable going on in how he plays football ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯

on vampires and werewolves in dragonfable
*cracks knuckles* hello tumblrfable it is i, thatvampireenthusiast, here to live up to my username now that i have finished blood and roses in book 3 and i have some Observations, some Thoughts, some Light Analysis about the vampires in dragonfable (and also about the werewolves). general amityvale plotline spoilers but nothing specific.
this is going to be super long but that's what read mores are for! let's go.
we all know dragonfable loves its references, and while the vampires in dragonfable don't reference any one piece of vampire media in particular they are fairly representative of the classic Pop Culture Vampire archetype, with some changes to suit the setting, of course.
dragonfable vampires have the classic weakness to sunlight which is further enhanced by the weakness to the light element that most vampires we seen in game are subject to when you fight them (not all, but most). additionally they are weak to silver, same as werewolves, and while it is generally more associated as a weakness the later it's not entirely unheard of for it to be a vampire weakness, too. other classic vampire weaknesses such as garlic or faith are noticeably absent, and while the later makes sense to a degree as religion isn't really something that plays a huge role in dragonfable, it is a shame that the former was omitted, if only for the potential comedy of it. EDIT: i forgot to mention, it is also implied though not outright stated that the good ol' wooden stake to the heart method works in dragonfable, as that is what raven arms herself with when you and her go to confront frydae when thursday goes missing.
in regards to physical characteristics, the majority of the vampires we see all have the typical red eyes, fangs, and claws. safiria is of course a notable exception to the red eyes rule, having eyes that are more of a gold or topaz, though we do see red in her eyes when she's agitated or upset. another interesting thing i noticed is that, with the exception of frydae, who has been implied to be starving himself to a degree for some time, all of the vampires have what i would consider a healthy skin tone. there are numerous forms of vampire media that depict them as either lacking in pigment or having a corpse-like pallor, though there are also a number that don't. i suppose i just found it a bit funny that my player character was paler than the vampires were. one last note is that safiria is the only vampire we see with wings of any kind in her "human" form, perhaps due to her status as the vampire queen.
ability-wise, dragonfable vampires have the classic speed and strength associated with creatures of the night, and may presumably also have the enhanced senses as well. shapeshifting is clearly on the table as well, since a good number of the vampiric enemies you fight in the game turn into a bat upon defeat, and the way that vampires seem to appear suddenly out of mist at certain points implies that could be a possible transformation as well, supported by how safiria turns into a bloody red cloud during the portion of book 3 where she goes apeshit. what's really interesting to me though is the more atypical ability of blood manipulation, something that is not commonly seen in vampire fiction. elite vampires seem to have the ability to pull the blood from their enemies, if their attack animations are anything to go by, and we outright see both safiria and frydae do even greater feats of blood manipulation over the course of the story. this was a really neat ability to add, in my opinion.
something fun for me that i am very happy they included explicit information on is how one becomes a vampire in dragonfable. magus neron states in bloodwork that while lycanthropy is transmitted though a single bite, vampirism requires a "complete blood transfer." this is further elaborated on in blood feud where it is made clear by lord frydae that turning someone into a vampire involves the vampire drinking the person's blood and the person then drinking the vampire's blood. the exchange of blood as a means of catalyzing a vampiric transformation is not an uncommon method in vampire fiction, and is in fact present in the classic novel dracula. (and i will, of course, be making use of the fact that a bite alone doesn't turn someone for my own purposes. what purposes? yes.)
what is *not* stated in canon is how turning a person into a vampiric *ghoul* works, and how it differs from turning someone into a vampire. however, we don't actually see any vampiric ghouls in book 3 amityvale, nor are there any mention of them, so there may be some early installment weirdness or continuity weirdness going on there for why they're only present in book 1.
a few more general assorted notes before moving on. i touched briefly on elements earlier, and how vampires are generally weak to the light element. what i did not mention is their association with the darkness element, that generally being the element type of their attacks. vampires being associated with darkness of course makes sense, given the whole creature of the night thing. it also leads into safiria being willing to help with the search for a lycanthropy cure, since those infected with lycanthropy (a light-aligned ailment) can't be turned into darkness-aligned vampires. also worth mentioning i feel is how vampires are categorized as undead enemies, which while not unexpected seeing as a good portion of vampires in media are of the undead variety, does imply that being turned into a vampire kills you. which would make finding a cure for the condition interesting. good luck neron.
onto the werewolves! dragonfable werewolves are *neat*. vampires may be my main area of supernatural study, but i also know a good deal about werewolves, as well, and the two often go hand in hand.
i won't be going anywhere near as in-depth with the werewolves as i did with the vampires. they're very much the stereotypical beast werewolf found in pop culture, wolf-like creatures that are only vaguely humanoid and far more animalistic than a mundane human. they're clearly still sentient and sapient, though, albeit to varying degrees.
dragonfable takes the classic "lycanthropy as a virus" angle, though with a dragonfable sort of twist to it. that twist, of course, is the involvement of the light element that makes werewolves light-aligned creatures. this is *not* an angle that is often taken when it comes to werewolves, who are often treated as creatures of darkness just as much as vampires are. by involving light dragonfable manages to give an interesting addition to the classic vampire-werewolf conflict. that's really the part about things that fascinates me the most about dragonfable werewolves, that light element.
otherwise they're just classic horror werewolves. beast-like form, weakness to silver, strong connection to the moon, etc.
now onto something more resembling actual analysis.
while i wouldn't really call the vampires or werewolves in dragonfable *generic*, they due seem to follow general tropes and archetypes. i would say, however, that that's the point. dragonfable isn't a game about werewolves and vampires, but rather a game with vampires and werewolves in it. the werewolves and vampires don't need to be special or unique or different, that's not what they're for. dragonfable uses the trappings and tropes of horror and transformative monsters to further add depth to the narrative of book 3 and to show us another side of the rose. and like a certain number of horror stories, there isn't really a happy ending, as of when i'm writing this. not that i've seen, anyway. the villain is defeated and granted a fate worse than death, and the "heroes" all live, but the joy in the victory is tainted by the sorrow of what was lost to get there, and the maintained status quo of the fear of the unknown in amityvale. there is no immediate fix it or cure. and the rose is still the rose, even if there are good people in it.
it's not really a satisfying ending. which makes me think that it's not an ending at all, but a cliffhanger. maybe there's stuff further into book 3 that gives these characters the closure i feel they haven't got, or maybe there's planned content for future books that will do so. all i can do is hope.

"The Lost Lenore is another character's deceased love interest. This kind of tragedy is one of The Oldest Ones in the Book"
"In order to fit this trope, the character must have just as much, if not more, importance to the narrative dead than they would alive."

Itadori Yuuji: The next words that spilled from my lips came from so deep within my gut that it nearly made all the things I've ever said feel like a lie. Itadori Yuuji: I will kill you.

Marx and Magolor and their "it's complicated" thing. I keep promising to actually dissect their dynamic but then I get emotionally burnt out and just make them cuddle instead.
The general binding theme of "the way we interact with others makes us fundamentally isolated, and the existence of the Soul is so inherently frightening and a profoundly lonely experience, and you are the only one who can fully understand this facet of myself" paired against their conflicting feelings.
Marx's "you're a hypocrite, your double standards are infuriating, you make me want to pull my hair out. You make me laugh, you're fun, I miss you when you're gone."
Magolor's "I changed, you didn't, you don't get to judge me. I wish I was a better friend to you. You seem to know me better than I know myself and that scares me. I hate you. I lovingly dedicate this hat to you."
It gets worse before it gets better but it gets better.

I’m an advocate for overexposed characters not needing to constantly have their own movies out, but it’s crazy how we’ve gone from MCU Spider-Man making an appearance nearly once a year on average for 5 years, to what will likely be 5 years between appearances.
Like it’s really hitting me how this will almost certainly be the longest break in between theatrical Spider-Man outings since Raimi’s first film.
That said once he’s back I’ll bet you anything the hype will be absolutely unprecedented. NWH was the last MCU project to really feel like a worldwide “event”, and as soon as audiences sniff Spider-Man in the water after a long break, then shit’s gonna go wild.

Also re: Danny being Jewish, I do think some of it comes down to how a character is written initially, and then how they are portrayed, especially as a series goes on. I do think that CBS intended for Danny to one of their token catholic characters, because they love to sprinkle that sort of shit in. If Danny was intended to be Jewish from the beginning, it probably would have been of a more Ziva David from NCIS situation. CBS is not known for it's nuance or delicacy. Or consistent writing.
But then you have a character portrayed by a Jewish actor, and that gets all folded in. Especially when you add in the East Coast bit. Which frankly makes this aspect of Danny's character not only more interesting, but also more organic. It feels right. And it's very easy to mix that in with the catholicism that's already been included with that character. People can be Jewish and catholic. Families can be religiously blended. Pointing out that Danny is Jewish is not somehow taking away from the catholic angle.
