Dorothy likes receiving big, fancy bouquets of flowers (especially since it doesn’t happen often) from a lover/love interest, but ever since the divorce, she can’t shake the feeling that they’re fake: Stan used to gift her flowers to get back in her good graces whenever they had a fight, so she can’t help but mistrust them. She appreciates them, of course, but she’d much rather get something small and thoughtful, like a card/letter, a good meal, or a *small* and well thought-out collection of pretty flowers.

Sophia's beloved rosary was a gift from her mother, for her marriage to Guido Spirelli (the one she had annulled when she left for America). She brought it over from Sicily on the ship; it's one of her most prized possessions.

Rose picked up smoking when she was fairly young, soon after her wedding, to deal with the stress and anxiety caused by Charlie's traveling salesman career. She was forced to stop because of her plow injury (after which, ironically, she ended up developing her canon addiction to painkillers).

It's canon that Rose likes to knit when she's upset; I headcanon that she somehow manages to rope Blanche into it. Maybe she asks for her help with a difficult pattern, or to hold some wool, or maybe she somehow makes it into a challenge and Blanche has no choice but to compete -- whatever the case, Blanche eventually realizes that she's tempted to pick up a pair of needles and a ball of yarn whenever she's especially stressed, or she needs to untangle a mess in her head. How she makes her knitwear look so racy is anybody's guess, but her bedroom's visitors can attest to it.

Dorothy is a pretty good hairdresser! Not in a professional sense, she's just good at cutting other people's hair, because especially during the early stages of her marriage with Stan she was the one doing the haircuts for the whole family. They had no money for hairdresser's, but she still wanted her loved ones (Kate and Michael in particular) to look nice and and feel good about themselves, so she learned out of necessity. By the time canon rolls around all the Girls go to the hairdresser's regularly, so I'm not sure if Blanche and Rose would ever find out, but if they do, they're definitely going to take advantage of Dorothy's experience as much as possible. :)

(Sophia also cut her children's hair, but I figure she wasn't as concerned with their appearance as Dorothy was. As long as they didn't look like wild animals, the haircut was fine.)

Dean, Alice and Carol appear to be  Inferential or consequential parents.  Carol Lynn Fraley is a non neonatal connection to Michael Dean F. Duerksen due to shortages of DNA related to giving natural birthing process. Mike and Paul Duerksen are not considered derivatives of Duerksen and Fraley birthing.   There is an imbalance in the genetic composition of Michael's DNA represented by a little more than is needed of the Dean F. Duerksen and Carol Lynn Fraley is almost not present.  San Francisco is a birthing process in Michael Duerksen due to the misunderstood nature of San Francisco related and acquired inferential DNA from Dean F. Duerksen which Dean appears to have acquired during his childhood leading some to believe that he could have been born there and that Michael could have been born there.  The strong concurrent use of genetic washes appears to explain the absence of San Francisco birth origin related DNA sufficient to conclude a San Franciscan birth, but..a San Francisco birth is possible.  Related to Crissy DeMentos, a Nun, was found to be pregnant in spite of her male-female characteristics and as such she appears to have gotten paid from two priests, one John Meryll Streep and Charles Osgood Harris, both concluded to be brothers from different mothers and having inserted their spetm into her to explain her pregnancy which appears to have originated from another woman, a Miss DeGeneres of San Francisco area known as a depo of San Mateo. Depos are names given to the various " townships" comprising the San Francisco Bay area including Sausalito, Oakland, Hayward, Oneimeda, Santa Barbara, etc...since 1917.  San Mateo is a Depo on the South Eastern edge of the Bay area.  Michael picked up microbes from the San Francisco area that are some of them planted via rough going and others from between the legs of the mother. Sue Ellen DeGeneres, age 11-12, appears to be the original mother and mentioned in reference to this often.  Dean does not appear to have had a microbial relationship to San Francisco that passed on to Michael. Michael at birth is understood to have had a Genetic and Microbial Code Content as follows for San Francisco : Microbial content:  10-11 out of 17 and Genetic relationship is 8-10 out of 17. This relationship appears to result from poor health conditions of the mother and Dean F. Duerksen's own use of genetic washes and Spirelli, a strong origins related  genetic wash and anti- microbial fluid that as used did put Dean out of sorts with appearing to be the babie's father. Dean's decision to use this strong genetic and Microbial wash was based on his belief that the baby was born to person's other than himself in San Francisco.   The strong genetic washes of the time period were capable of washing out enough or all of the baby''s original birth DNA. All of Dean's sons, including Mike and Paul by 1953-54, had Spirelli wash used on them therefore washing out considerable amounts of DNA therefore conclusive to rule out any place of birth origins and the stats are for Mike and Paul related to perce tage of washed out original Genes as follows: Michael lost 50-70% of original Genes and Paul lost 70-90% of genes via use of Spirelli by Dean F. Duerksen.  However, there were enough clues to lead back to the demonstration of Dean Duerksen's use of Spirelli to wash out Mike and Paul's California birth origins, Mike in San Francisco. Spirelli wash was rotten, terrible to the parents whom wanted to remove the clues of origins...it washed out most but not enough to satisfy the parent.  The percentage of microbes removed by using Spirelli on Mike and Paul Duerksen by Dean are for Mike: 90-110 %. and 1100 to 150% for Paul.  Also DNA in Michael or Mike would not relate to Alma Gullatt Kirby Rollins as original parent and there was too much of Dean Duerksen.

Saxon style cabbage noodles:

Ingredients:

500g-1kg spirelli or fussilli noodles (depends on how much you want)

½ head of white cabbage

1 onion

Salami

ham cubes/bacon cubes

2-3 tsp paprika powder

1 tsp cumin

salt, pepper

Oil

Recipe:

Cut the cabbage into small strips and cook in salted water till mostly soft.

Cook the noodles till al dente. Cut the salami and the onion into cubes.

In a big pot, sear the onion, salami and ham and season it with the salt, pepper, cumin and paprika.

Add the cabbage and let it simmer on low heat for about 10 minutes - don't forget to stir!

Add the noodles and mix well, simmer for another 3-10 minutes till everything is properly cooked through/soft enough for you.

The food tastes best when it has had a few hours to steep, I recommend making it the say before you want to eat it (how I like it best) or at least 5 hours before consumption. You can reheat it in the pot and It'll taste even better.

Das ist eine “Spirelli” (DDR-Name) für Fusilli. Ich habe sie mit Tonne gekocht. Natürlich mit Kapern und Zwiebel. oh man ok so my blood would be a high caffeine drink, preferably monster mule, club mate, or strong coffee, but i you can substitute with anything as long as it has enough caffeine. And my body would be noodles with green pesto. specifically spirelli or whatever you call them. the short, spiraly ones. you just get one of em thrown in your mouth at communion. the priest's hands and robe are stained green. your face has a few noodle-imprints from where the priest missed your mouth and threw it at your face instead. his hands are shaking from the amount of caffeine in his system. it tastes delicious. you're welcome.
