The Nanny Pt. 1
Lee Bodecker x Nanny!F!Reader
18+
Word Count: 3k
Warnings: mentions of alcohol, implied age gap (reader is in her 20s), cursing, Sandy and Carl being bad parents, 18+ content in later chapters
Summary:
Based on this Request: The reader moves to Meade/Knockemstiff while answering an advertisement for a nanny in the paper. We learn that the ad was posted by Sandy, who has the reader watch her child whenever she and Carl leave to do their secret thing. After one of these trips, Sandy and her husband never return, so the reader is left caring for their baby. With the new investigation into these events, she meets Sandy’s brother Lee, the older, out of shape, alcoholic bachelor, and they are suddenly thrown into each others lives as he begins looking into his sister’s disappearance. Through it all, Lee starts to fall for her, and they slowly become a family.
A/N: Here is the first part of my newest series and I want to thank the anon who reached out to me with this idea!
If I missed anything I should include as a warning that I missed please let me know!
Taglist Form is in my bio and should be updated to now to include this fic! (If for some reason it isn’t working send me a message and I’ll make sure you’re added!!)
“Damn it, Sandy, can’t you handle that?” Carl yells from his dark room as the baby starts crying again.
“Fuck you, Carl,” Sandy shouts back, hurrying to put out her cigarette before heading to the nursery.
Their little girl was just about a year old, and neither one of them knew what they were doing. Carl was incredibly indifferent and despite her honest attempts at motherhood, Sandy’s maternal instincts never kicked in like she thought it would happen. Carl was annoyed that it cut into their time they would be on trips. They weren’t able to photograph models with the baby on the road, so he’d been itching to get back on the road.
“Is she hungry?” he shouts back, not even bothering to take his eyes off of the most recent photographs he had been developing.
“I just fed her!”
“Then why is she crying?”
“Fuck if I know,” Sandy shouts back exasperated. She scooped up the baby from her crib and started to rock her back and forth in her arms. Sandy also tried burping her, humming a little lullaby she made up on the fly… no luck. She walks around the house with the baby on her hip, trying to rock her back to sleep.
“We haven’t able to get back on the road in a year,” Carl says, clearly frustrated.
“That ain’t purely my fault,” she spits back, “Takes two to make a baby, Carl.”
“Fuck I know,” he groans, “But I need new inspiration. If I take one more picture of nature…”
“If she’s such a hindrance, pay for a damn sitter like I suggested months ago,” she counters.
“We can’t have no stranger walking around the house Sandy,” he points out.
“Just keep your damn room locked, it’s not a huge deal,” Sandy sighs. “Besides, no one is gonna snoop around if you pay ‘em enough. You damn well produce your own incriminating evidence; you should always have that room locked anyways.”
“We only have to worry about your damn brother,” Carl points out, “We hire a fucking sitter that’s two people we need to worry about.”
“You’re just to goddamn cheap to hire somebody,” Sandy states, moving back towards the nursery, the baby now snoring softly.
“You know what? Fine,” Carl says defeated. “But you’re in charge of putting the ad out and hiring somebody.”
“Thank you,” she says in a sing song tone, happy she got her way. But the moment of quiet that follows is short lived as they baby starts crying again.
“Please for the love of God can you just take care of that?” Carl yells, and the argument circles back to the beginning.
You had sat in the small dinner in the corner booth hunched over the newspaper and nursing your now cold cup of coffee. You had just arrived in Knockemstiff and were looking for work. “Any leads?” Julie asked as she topped off your coffee. Julie was your roommate. You had found her the same way you were currently looking for a job. You must have answered at least ten terrible Roommate Wanted ads until you had found Julie. The two of you now share an apartment- the top floor of a three-family owned by a sweet older couple.
“Thank you,” you say without looking up from scanning the ads. “Maybe this one?” You say pointing to one of the ads. She looks to see her manager stepped out for his smoke break before sliding in the booth across from you. You slide the paper over to her and she reads the ad out loud.
NANNY NEEDED Knockemstiff, Ohio
Couple that travels for work in need of a nanny for one-year-old daughter.
Temporary live-in position for several weeks at a time. Pay negotiable.
Call Sandy Henderson at the below number.
“I can sublet the room temporarily while you stay there,” Julie offers. “It’s a pretty vague offer,” she continues. “I wouldn’t commit until you call and speak to that Sandy woman.”
“Oh, I’m sure I’ll need to be interviewed,” you agree. “What kind of people are comfortable just leaving their baby for weeks at a time with a perfect stranger?”
“Paul is still out back I think,” she chuckles, “I’ll let you use the wall phone.”
You take a seat at one of the stools at the counter, and she dials the number for you and then passes you the receiver. You mouth a thank you and she waves her hand in dismissal as she heads over to take someone’s order.
“Whaddya want?” the woman on the other end answers abruptly.
“Oh, I’m calling about the ad in the paper regarding the nanny position. Is it still available?”
“Oh, shit. I’m so sorry, hun,” the woman says, now in a much nicer tone. “Thought it was my brother calling. Yes, it is, and we need it filled as soon as possible. When are you available?”
“For an interview?” You ask.
“Yeah,” she says mumbled, like she is dangling a cigarette from her mouth. “Can you come today?”
“Oh, wow. Yes, I can,” you reply.
“Great, um, you got a pen? Take down this address.”
About two hours, a change of clothes and a cab ride later, you were standing outside a house towards the end of town. It was a little run down, but what building in this town wasn’t? You were a little nervous of course, but it was also the most unconventional way you have gotten an interview. Part of you was relieved, because the woman on the phone sounded real, not phony, but the circumstances still made you uneasy. Julie had the address and said you’d call when you got back to the taxi dispatch.
“Welcome, welcome,” Sandy smiled, opening up the door for you. She had one hand on the doorknob and one of the cutest babies you’d ever seen in the other. “Come on in, make yourself comfortable.”
“Who is this?” you coo, leaning down to the baby’s eye level. “She’s darling.”
“This little sweetheart is Valerie,” Sandy smiles, passing the baby to you. “She’s so well-behaved. Hardly ever cries.”
“She’s adorable,” you smile, as the baby cuddles up close, resting her head on your shoulder. “I didn’t properly introduce myself on the phone. (Y/N) (Y/L/N).”
“I’m Sandy,” she introduces herself. “Please take a seat on the couch, get comfortable. I hate things that are so formal. Bleh.”
You take a seat on the couch, and readjust the little girl in your arms so she’s sitting on your lap and her back is resting against you so she is supported.
“So, my husband and I are on the road a lot, usually,” she begins, “We took some time off when we had Valerie, but we really need to start working again, you understand.”
“Of course, what do you both do?” you ask politely.
“We’re photographers,” she beams, “Mostly nature and landmarks- which reminds me! We have a darkroom in the house, but that door will be locked when you’re staying here. We don’t want any damage to any of the negatives we have stored in there you understand. Everywhere else in the house is yours to explore! And of course we gotta spare bedroom you can call your own.”
“Fair enough,” you joke.
“So, tell me about yourself, honey,” she smiles, crossing her legs in the armchair where she sat.
“Well, I just moved here a few weeks ago actually,” you begin, “I just recently finished school, and now I’m looking for work. I just got my degree in early childcare from the state college.”
“Oh, that’s wonderful,” she says with a clap of her hands. “So, you’re local?”
“Yes, I live in town.”
“Excellent! We’d also love for this to be like an on-call thing as well, you know for date nights and things like that for times when we’re home. Like for a few hours here and there. And of course, we’ll always live money for groceries or whatever you need on top of your pay for emergencies incase Valerie needs formula or diapers or anything.”
“Perfect,” you smile, surprised how well the conversation was going. Sandy was easy-going and nice to talk to. The two of you sat and talked for a little under an hour, her asking all the standard questions you anticipated. You also were able to ask her some more of your own questions as well. It was the most effortless interview you had been on easily.
“I’m sorry you weren’t able to meet Carl today,” she says when she is showing you out. “But hun, I feel confident to offer you the job. We haven’t had many applicants and you’re the most qualified one I’ve spoken to. The job is yours if you want it?”
“When can I start?” you smile, making her laugh.
“Your number is on the resume, right?” she says, scooping up the baby. You nod, waving goodbye to the baby and then saying goodbye to Sandy.
“I’ll call you when I speak to Carl, but I think once he knows he’ll want to head out as soon as we can. Plan for Sunday,” she says as you get into the cab.
Just like she had promised, you get a call from Sandy on Saturday afternoon asking you to show up the next morning at 9. You spend the day packing up your clothes and anything else you’d need for a few weeks. Sandy said they’d be back in two weeks but you pack for three just in case. Julie was also nice enough to help you. You didn’t need to do much. Ever since you had settled in Knockemstiff, you had been pretty lazy with unpacking and for once procrastination played out in your favor.
Julie insisted on taking you out to celebrate that night before starting your job tomorrow. There was a small little bar, a little shack of a place just on the outside of town you went to. Julie had a car and you drove, anticipating she’d have a lot more to drink than you. It was a hotter summer night, so you drove with the windows down and the radio playing a little louder than you normally would.
The outside was decorated with string lights of primary colors and the wooden awning looked like it was one more storm away from collapsing. But the atmosphere inside was to die for. The jukebox was playing loud dance music, and the place was crowded. Empty recycled glasses lined the walls on a high shelf as decoration along with weathered posters of anything Americana. A row of motorcycles and trucks were parked outside the little place and it looked like a pileup from how crowded the lot was. People lingered outside as well, and you both hoped you’d find seats inside.
The two of you found a high-top table and Julie made her way up to the bar, skillfully maneuvering through the crowd to grab you both some drinks. You let your eyes wandering, surveying the room and just people watching. Couples were dancing closely to the music that was rattling the jukebox, and a group of people were sitting at the bar huddles in to watch the little black and white portable television. You also noticed a group of men in uniform several tables down, local police. They weren’t paying any attention to anyone but their own conversation, except one.
He just so happened to have looked up just as your eyes landed on their table. Steel blue eyes cutting across everything and just staring right back into yours. It was a fraction of a second and his gaze was broken by Julie taking her seat across from you. You cleared your throat, and finally allowed yourself to exhale. You felt her raise an eyebrow at you but she didn’t press, just gave you a knowing smirk you brushed off. You still felt his gaze on you even if your view was now obstructed.
Sandy and Carl were in a rush when you arrived in the morning. Sandy ran you through the details of where everything was kept and told you that she would call to check in when she could when they made stopped. She helped you carry your bags in from the trunk of the taxi while Carl packed their bags in their car. He was polite enough, but you felt in your gut to just keep your distance. Sandy led you upstairs to the guest room she told you she worked to clean out for you. It was simple, a bed and a dresser with a small closet. She said it mostly had been storage and her weekend project had been clearing it out for you. It was simple, but good enough for you for sure. You thanked her and she dismissed it saying you were the one doing her a favor, making you laugh.
The whole ordeal was very hurried. Carl was rushing to get on the road as soon as possible and you could tell he was clearly irritated at how long Sandy was taking showing you around and explaining things about Valerie. Carrying the baby in your arms, you finally were settled in to your new role and Sandy gave one more big hug and a kiss on Valerie’s head before rushing down to the car. You waved to the pair of them from the small front porch, Sandy looking back and waving to the baby from the passenger seat until they were out of your line of vision.
The first day was a little daunting. New space, living in a house that isn’t yours and a baby babbling in your arms. She was a sweet thing, and she already had taken a liking to you. Heading over to her nursery, you saw that she had a little play pen folded up in the corner of the nursery and you quickly set it up in your room so you could unpack while keeping an eye on her. She babbled just happy utter nonsense to you while you navigated around the space and her big eyes just followed you, just watching you was entertaining for her for now. You were a new face and she was entertained just by that for now.
A few hours later, Valerie had settled down for a nap in the early afternoon. She was sleeping soundly in her crib and you were getting formula ready for when she woke up. It was quiet, the only noise in the house was the small sounds of your own rustling in the kitchen. You wondered when you would hear from Sandy, if it would be later tonight or in a couple of days. You just were lost in your own thoughts when you were startled by a loud knocking on the door. Instantly, Valerie began to cry. You wiped your hands quickly on the skirt of your dress before grabbing her. You rested her on your hip and rocked her gently, shushing her to calm down while you went to grab the door.
The first thing your eyes saw were the same blue eyes who was looking at you at the bar last night. The man’s eyebrows furrowed and he looked really confused. He had one hand rested on his hip and the other against the doorframe, but he stood up straight when he saw it wasn’t who he expected. Your eyes then went down to the shiny Sheriff’s Badge fixed in place on his uniform.
“Who are you?” he asks abruptly. “Where’s Sandy?”
“Sandy and Carl left this morning,” you explain, not sure if he recognizes you. “I’m their nanny.”
He laughs and shakes his head as he looks down, almost like he doesn’t believe you, or he just doesn’t believe the situation. “Carl? Carl Henderson hired a nanny?” he scoffs and you nod, holding Valerie a little closer. The little girl rubs her eyes and yawns, when her eyes flutter open, she looks at the stranger in the doorway and immediately reaches out to signal she wants to be held by him. You ignore her resistance to wanting to be in your arms until you get more information about why the Sheriff is at their doorstep, though she obviously knows him.
“I’m Sandy’s brother,” he explains, “Did she say when they were coming back?” He doesn’t try to hold the baby yet, just holds out one of his fingers and her little hand holds onto it tightly.
“Two weeks.”
“They hire a complete stranger to watch my niece and live in their house unsupervised while they drive around?” he scoffs, shaking his head again in disbelief.
“I’m more than qualified…”
“It’s not a jab at you, sweetheart,” the man tries to explain, “More so a reflection on my sister and her husband is all. They are… fairly selfish people and I wished this situation surprises me more than it does.”
“Should I tell her you came by when she calls?” you ask.
“If she calls,” the man chuckles, “Sure, let her know Lee stopped by to visit.”
“You don’t think she will?” you ask, tilting your head.
“We’ll see,” Lee shrugs, “Do I know you from somewhere?” He rests his arm back up on the doorframe and looks down to the baby again, extending out his free hand to her again and scrunching her cheeks.
“I don’t know,” you shrug, not wanting to admit you remembered seeing him last night. He purses his lips together and nods, not pressing further. He pushes off from the doorframe and puts his hands into the pockets of his leather jacket.
“Must’ve been in a dream then,” he smirks, and you feel your cheeks flush. He walks down the steps and back towards his cop car. “What did you say your name was?” he asks, turning back around.
“I didn’t,” you chuckle.
“Hmm,” he nods, and raises his eyebrows, waiting for you to fill in the blank. You tell him your name and he repeats it back to you like he’s thinking about it, trying it out to see how it sounds.
“Well,” he says, standing behind the open driver’s door, “Good luck, and I hope Sandy proves me wrong. Let me know if she calls.”

Keiji and Sara’s relationship throughout yttd
In which I analyze the found family dynamic between Sara and Keiji then nobody reads it. But jokes aside, I realized back when that anon asked me for my thoughts on Sara that I had enough thoughts on the relationship between these two alone for its own meta so here goes. What Sara and Keiji’s relationship means in the grand scheme of yttd.
ALSO THIS IS NOT SHIPPING SHIPPERS GET THE FUCK AWAY
Sara when she meets Keiji is distrustful of him. And how can she not be? The guy has some creepy bags under his eyes, doesn’t seem to care about the situation, and for no reason is gravitating towards her. And his response when she asks why the hell he keeps putting a random stranger in charge? “Because you’re cute.” Yeah. I’d stay within 50 feet of this guy too Sara. Especially when he’s not spilling a word about himself.
Alright we might as well get the gross part out of the way. To clear things up. In the Japanese version, the word he uses “Kawai” can be seen as a more fatherly word to use with a kid. But the comments about going on dates from himself and from Shin? Those are still there. And I still think they’re really uncomfortable and wish they weren’t in the game period but we can get thematic significance out of them.
We still don’t know Keijis reasons in game for being attached to Sara. My theory? She’s his handicap. He was told to get close to the higher scorer who could easily backstab him, and he’d be stuck with her. It just kinda makes sense to me. But since that’s just a theory I won’t lean to heavily on it for support. But let’s talk about his comments.
Keiji… well, it’s shown at many points in the game that Keiji just thinks of himself as doomed to be a bad person. It can be seen during his day two negotiations when he calls himself a killer and explains he can’t even trust himself so Sara shouldn’t really bother and more explicitly so is the classroom scene between him and Ranmaru where he says he isn’t fit to protect Sara because of his sins. The flirting is both a way to distract people, and to put distance between himself and Sara. He’s not really “protecting” her.
Okay gross bit nobody wants to talk about is over I promise we won’t talk about it again. Let’s talk about Russian Roulette. In this scene, Keiji once again tries to make Sara the leader with no explanation, but then, Sara yells at him, something he didn’t expect. And through this he actually reveals something huge. The source of his trauma. His shooting. For Keiji to have actually revealed something that big, I think that this is the first moment he began to see Sara past whatever reason he first started making her a leader. This is the beginning of their bond.
This bond gets solidified over chapter 1-2s investigation. Keiji is still putting her in charge because his handicap said to build her up for whatever reason, but they’re able to have chats, and she keeps picking at his armor. He reveals his dark sense of humor to her, and she, suspicious just sort of keeps him at arms length. Also she rides his shoulders to screw in a light and he complains which is funny. The scene post Nao also helps the two of them sharpen investigative skills together, as they discuss the mystery of Miley, and Mishimas head.
Then another significant scene. The white room. I call this scene significant because, instead of letting Sara investigate the gruesome scene of the first trial, Keiji for the first time, allows Sara to walk out. Something that will become relevant later but until then, Keiji has begun to put Sara’s well-being above serving whatever purpose he had by building her up. So keep that in your pocket while we go over the main game.
There’s only two points for the main game I want to cover. While Keiji and Sara do put their heads together a few times, Sara still doesn’t fully trust him, so I will only go over 1. When Shin brings up Kai’s emails. Keiji has been fully logical this whole time, questioning everyone’s alibis including Nao’s who he saw the emotional plea from, but when Sou brings up potentially damning evidence of Sara, he just asks if he read the emails wrong. 2. When Sara is panicking over being chosen for the final round, Keiji loudly shouts “GET A GRIP SARA!” With a serious expression. Before quickly backtracking and going back to a devil may care expression. This shows he is both already emotionally attached to Sara, but unwilling to stake himself towards giving himself to a new cause.
Anyways, he stops her from pressing the button blah blah blah, onto chapter 2! I’ve made a post about this before but it seems as early as here, Keiji is trying to talk Sara down from pushing herself further. But at this point, Sara has already dedicated herself to the role because her best friend died due to her priority to protect everyone. Keiji sees the problem and he tries to get her to rest up, but he still doesn’t spend the time to have a serious talk about it because as he says in the classroom. He isn’t fit to protect her. He doesn’t think of himself as a good person who can help her. He thinks of himself as a murderer and he doesn’t allow himself to recover from the trauma.
Sara however is starting to rely more on Keiji. He’s been willing to comfort her in her times of grief and furthermore, she has something to relate to him on. They both have deaths of important people in their lives they feel responsibility for.
There’s also the fact that Keiji sees a lot of his old self in Sara. An idealistic person, being beaten down, and worrying over the idea they might be becoming a bad person. He feels the same as her.
Not to mention… Keiji follows through on his promises. He actually tells Sara about the person he respected like he said he would which establishes a further sense of trust.
However, something that tears that sense of trust apart is the tokens scene. When Keiji doesn’t even let Sara hold 50 tokens, it raises suspicion. Sara already knows he shot a person- what more could he have to hide? That scares her away. The negotiation event is an attempt for Keiji to win back her trust. But it slowly turns into Keiji’s self-loathing session. And his declaration maybe Sara shouldn’t trust him.
However, time passes enough (and Keiji supports Sara enough in the final attraction) for them to get together and investigate in 2-2. And there’s a lot of moments I can talk about there so I’ll be just doing a few rapidfire things. So first, Sara is in peak weird girl mode and Keiji can hardly control her chaos. Second, Keiji makes a full on decision at one point to go against Sara when she’s putting herself in danger of getting caught for their search so they can hide. Third, his response to “I don’t intend to die” when he asks “will you die with me” is that’s a good answer.
And fourth… a moment I really wanna touch on… Keiji watches something that could easily incriminate Sara. It’s not just some word of mouth thing like with Shin who lied about things several times before this point. But in that moment, he still relies on Sara and says he wouldn’t feel bad betting his life on her. The message is clear. Keiji supports Sara unconditionally.
Now let’s talk about Keiji totally dropping Sara’s ass with the card trades.
The way Keiji makes his trades is very telling. He first, steals a keymaster card from either Sou or Kanna to give to Sara. This is supporting Sara, but it’s doing it in a way that supports his view of himself. That he’s a scumbag who would steal someone’s immunity just to give it to someone he likes more. And would a shithead like that be “worthy” of sacrificing themselves and taking the card for Sara? (And he knew she had it. Qtaro had to tell him for their plan to happen) no. Instead he essentially opts for a revenge plot. A plan to ensnare Shin and kill him for pawning off the sacrifice to Sara. Basically, he wanted to fuck up Shin like how he fucked up Megumi. Nice going Keiji. This is… kind of his low point in the story.
But 3-1….. man this chapter hits in all the right ways. I don’t remember 3A that much, (although I do know that Keiji shows a lot of concern over Sara potentially being triggered by Joe memorabilia) and also if you fail the Keiji Midori fight you can have Sara attempt to tag Keiji and he rejects. And how can we forget… the mr policeman flashback. As Sara says, this is Keiji’s first time opening up on his own.
And then… coffin saga. Sara through everything is not willing to let Keiji die. Although she’s had her ups and downs with him, leaving him to die is inconceivable to her with everything they’ve been through together. So she opts to sign the contract both times she is offered it.
Keiji clearly is somebody important to Sara. Important enough that Ranmaru bringing him up is enough to snap her out of her murderous trance. Enough that she throws logic out the window when she has a sign he’s okay.
Likewise, the scene in the classroom for Keiji is… a huge step. When he’s alone with Ranmaru, who is unstable, in that classroom, his priority is Sara. He turns his back to the threat to hold Sara and try and make sure she’s okay- dumb move, but it shows how far he’s come.
And again, I want to reiterate- Keiji is Sara’s anchor. At the banquet when Sara is about to give up, she imagines Keiji talking to her which brings her back in the game. Much like Joe did back in chapter 2. The message is palpable. Keiji is Sara’s new Joe. And when Keiji comes back to comfort her? He’s now fully willing to sacrifice himself. It winds up not being needed seeing as Qtaro is the one that died. But in that moment, we see Keiji has made a huge leap from chapter 2. He almost sacrificed himself for Gin. And he would’ve used his final moments to comfort Sara. He’s embraced that he’s a father figure. He allows himself to be a good person.
Anyways I don’t know how to conclude this and I’ve been writing for hours. Bababooey.

You groan as you turn over in bed, waking up a bit. You hiss as your head is already pounding from the lack of sleep you’ve had recently. Not only have you been working, but you’d also spend much of the night cuddling with Fred and George and just enjoying each other’s presence.
Since seeing the twins again at Bill and Fleur’s wedding you had nearly moved in with them. Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Ginny had to go back to school anyways so it’s not like you were missing much at the burrow.
Fred and George had asked you over for a week, which soon turned into two and then three until suddenly it’d had been nearly three months that you’d be there.
“Good morning, darling.” George smiles as he walks into the room carrying a mug of coffee.
“Morning, Georgie.” You smile, watching as he sets the mug down on the stand and then crawling on top of you, laying on top of your body as he wraps his arms around you.
You giggle, smiling widely as you kiss his forehead and run your fingers through his hair.
“Is someone a bit needy this morning?” You whisper, still playing with his hair as he whines a bit.
“I just need you to hold me.”
You smile and nod, kissing his forehead once more before letting him just lay there. Since you’ve sort of moved in with them, moments like this have happened more and more between all of you.
You've more than made up for those few months where you couldn’t see each other. Both of them are showing you more affection than all your years combined, however. It’s almost like they’re trying to catch up on all the time they’ve wanted to hold you and be close to you that they were too afraid do at hogwarts with so many other people around. it was obvious you were all close friends, but truthfully you all had been wary of being too cuddly to prevent any unwanted questions about your guys' relationship from peers and professors.
You weren’t going to complain, you loved the boys and any time you were held by them or got quick kisses from them made you more than happy. You still hadn’t shared your true feelings with them, but why would you when you already had this? If you told them you loved them you were afraid all of this would stop.
“Hey, George, I - what’ve we got here?” Fred asks as he walks into the bedroom, stopping and pouting when he sees George holding you.
“Morning, Freddie.” You smile, getting him to smile a little bit at you before going back to pout at his twin.
“Why am I not getting cuddled?”
“Because it’s my turn. I need some of y/n’s love this morning.” George mumbles out grumpily to his brother, his face pressed into your stomach.
“That’s not fair. You’re always cuddling her.”
“I got here first.” George argues and you sigh, shaking your head at the two.
One thing you could say for sure about these boys was that for being adults, they still very much acted like children at times. it was endearing in a way, however, because you were truly the only person who got to see them both like this.
Fred had made his way over to the two of you and was attempting to push his twin out of the way so he could have you instead. You sigh, chuckling ever so slightly.
“That’s enough you two. I am more than capable of loving you both.”
“You are?” They ask simultaneously, Fred looking up at you as George finally lifts his head from your stomach.
“Of course I am. I’ve loved you both up until now, haven’t I?” You chuckle, not yet realizing what you’ve admitted.
“You love us?” Fred asks, wanting to smile but in total disbelief that you would actually love the both of them like they do you.
“Of course I do.” You smile, pushing back the hair that’s resting on his forehead.
“Like, you really love us?” George asks, sitting up and straddling your body.
“Like as more than friends?” Fred asks.
You nod, blushing madly but not breaking eye contact with either of them.
“Well, yeah. Do you think I’d let anyone else kiss me like you guys do? Do you think I’d have anyone else hold me as much?”
They both try to stop the smiles from taking over their faces, but neither of them succeed.
“We love you too.” George smiles, kissing your lips.
You freeze for a second as this is the first time either of them have actually kissed you. They’d kiss your skin and your head and hands, but they’ve never kissed you.
You smile into the kiss as you kiss him back, you’re lips seeming to perfectly fit his.
“We’ve loved you for years, but weren’t sure how you would take it. We were afraid you’d only love one of us, or even worse not loves us at all.” Fred admits as you and George pull away, George going to kiss and suck on your neck.
“Well I guess you both got pretty lucky, huh?” You smile, leaning over to press a kiss to Fred’s lips.
“That we did.” George smiles, kissing your neck again.
“Let us show you just how lucky you are.” Fred smiles as he pushes you down so you’re lying on your back, placing another loving kiss on your lips before laying down beside you and kissing down your body.
“Boys.” You gasp as Fred kisses just below you belly button, working on removing your shirt as he trails kisses up your belly.
“We’ve been wanting to do this for so long.” Fred admits breathily, as he cups your breasts.
“I love you.” You sigh as George lifts your shirt over your head as Fred works on removing you’re bra.
“Take it all in, princess. This is all for you right now.” Fred smiles, kissing your lips as George presses kisses to your bare thighs below your pajama shorts.
~.~
You can’t help but be happy that night when the three of you head over to the burrow for Christmas dinner with the family. You had finally confessed your feelings to the boys you’ve been crushing on since the second year and Merlin did it work out in your favour.
Not only did they both like you back, but you found out pretty quickly just how blessed you were with these two. They certainly knew what in the bloody hell they were doing when showing you just how lucky you were.
“Merry Christmas, Molly.” You smile, hugging the woman who’s been a second mom to you as you get inside the house.
“Merry Christmas, dear. It’s wonderful to see you again. How has it been living with Fred and George?” She asks as the two hug their father and siblings.
You smile at them, loving how close they were with their family. This is honestly the only thing you've wished for for so many years. You spent hours upon hours imagining what it'd be like to be a part of a loving family with a loving partner that's proud to show you off to them. Little did you expect when meeting Fred and George, that they'd be the ones to give it to you.
“It’s been really nice. I’ve never realized how much I miss them when we’re apart.” You admit, chuckling as you get your jacket off.
She smiles at you, taking your jacket and setting it over the back of one of the kitchen table chairs.
“For the record, we miss you too whenever you’re not around.” George smiles, wrapping an arm around your waist as Fred hangs his around your shoulders.
They still can’t believe what had finally happened earlier. It almost felt like a faraway dream, but knew differently when they could both recall the taste of your lips and your scent. They couldn’t wait to get you back in bed tonight. Now that you were theirs, they didn't plan on spending much time away from you.
They'd never admit it, but those few months you guys spent apart were literal torture for them. So many nights the two of them had laid awake in their separate beds wishing they could conjure you there with them. They had missed the faintly sweet smell of your perfume that felt like home to them. They missed your body heat that was never enough to keep them warm if needed, but was comforting nonetheless. They missed having your voice and laugh fill the space around them.
“For Merlin's sake, you three look so cute together. When will you finally get together?” She chuckles, bringing a blush to your cheeks as you gaze down at the floor.
You look up at the twins as they smile down at you. After you had all finished this morning and lay in the post-orgasmic bliss, they finally asked you to be theirs and theirs only, kissing your fingers and nose and shoulders, pressing quick kisses to your lips as you said yes.
“Well, mum.” George starts, as you smile.
You knew she’d be excited. You had the inkling suspicion that she’s been well aware of your feelings for each other long before you guys were.
“Surprise.” Fred says, smiling at you and then over at his mother.
“No! Really?!” She gapes, smiling widely as she clasps her hands together.
“What happened?” Arthur asks, as the family come rushing to the kitchen.
“Wait, did they finally get together?!” Ginny squeals, rushing over to you as she notices how the twins are holding you.
“We did.” George chuckles, kissing your forehead as their mum and sister gasp, Ginny squealing some more in excitement.
“I knew it! I knew they liked each other!” She cheers, hugging you three and jumping in excitement.
“It’s about time. Bloody hell, it’s only taken you five years to get here.” Ron states, earning a smack in the head from Hermione.
“What? It’s true.” He pouts, rubbing the place hermione smacked him.
“Yeah, but you don’t need to point it out. Just be happy for them, Ronald.”
You three chuckle at the younger sibling and his girlfriend before each of your boyfriends give you a sweet kiss on the lips to remind you just how much they love you, even if it had taken five years to admit it.
✨BONUS✨
“Freddie, Georgie. It’s too early to be up.” You groan as the two of them are kissing you and tracing their fingers along your sides or arms. Essentially they’re just not letting you sleep and you’re not sure why.
“Princess, today’s a special day.” Fred smiles, placing a soft kiss to your forehead.
“It’s my birthday, I’d like to sleep in a bit longer.” You huff, burying your face into the pillows.
You can feel George start kissing at your shoulder as he traces patterns into you thighs. You're not gonna lie and say it wasn’t turning you on, but it was certainly annoying you.
“Guys” you sigh as Fred sucks on the spot just below your earlobe.
“Are you really going to complain when you get to wake up to this?” Fred asks, chuckling at you.
“You two are unbelievable. I swear to Merlin you’re the horniest guys I’ve ever met.” You huff, turning over so your laying on your back
“And that’s a bad thing?” George asks, kissing your lips.
“Not bad, but annoying at times.” You quip, smirking and kissing him back as Fred traces patterns into the skin where your shirt has risen.
“We just want to treat the birthday girl to a good morning. We have a few things planned for today and thought you’d enjoy this first.” He smiles, placing a few hot kisses to your neck.
“You know what I'd like even better?" you ask, smiling as you loosely wrap your arms around his neck, pressing a kiss to his lips as he keeps tracing his finger over your thighs.
"What's that, darling?"
"Some breakfast in bed. Maybe some pancakes and hot chocolate. With some strawberries and bananas cut up on the side."
Fred chuckles as George smiles at you, biting his lip as he admires your beauty.
"I'm sure we could do that for you, princess. After we finish here." Fred smiles, kissing your nose causing you to scrunch it because it tickles.
"I'm holding you to it, Weasleys." you smirk, moaning as george presses his finger against you in just the right spot.
~.~
As promised, Fred and George cooked you breakfast after you had all finished and you hopped in the shower. You sigh contently as the warm water hits your back. It's been just over a year and a half that the three of you have been together and you don't think you've ever been happier.
Sure you guys had your problems from time to time, usually one of the boys getting jealous for some silly reason or you getting upset with their continued immaturity on some topic or another, but you were always able to resolve it and move forward. Somehow you three just worked.
You rinse off your body and make sure the majority of your conditioner was rinsed out of your hair before you shut off the water and step out of the large shower. that is one thing you loved about this apartment, was how large the shower was. It was a walk in with a rain shower head and more than enough room for you, fred, and george to shower together.
You dry yourself off with a towel before wrapping your hair up in it and sliding your silk robe over your arms, tying it in a loose bow at your waist.
"Don't you look stunning." fred smiles at you when you walk up to the island and sit down. He serves you a plate of pancakes with a swirl of whipped cream on top along with some sliced strawberries and bananas next to them.
You smile, blowing a kiss at him as you take a bite of the food.
"mm, thank you loves." you smile at the two of them when george sets a mug of hot chocolate in front of you.
"I love you two so much. I hope you know that." You smile, taking another bite of your pancakes as Fred hands George a plate of pancakes and takes one for himself.
"We love you, darling." george smiles.
"More than you could ever know." fred adds.
you nod and smile at the two, feeling your heart inflate with love. you honestly aren't sure what you would be doing with yourself if you didn't have these two.
~.~
You smile as you take in the scene around you. After a day spent shopping around muggle London as well as diagon alley with fred and george, you were now having a beautiful dinner with the rest of the weasley's at your guys' shared apartment.
Fred and George had prepared a wonderful chicken casserole with bannocks (biscuits/rolls) and had invited their parents, their siblings (Ron, Ginny, Bill and Fleur being the only ones who came), harry, hermione, and some of the members of the order, including Sirius, Lupin and Tonks. You really couldn't have asked for a better evening. You were surrounded by people who loved and cared for and who loved and cared for you.
"I think it's about time for gifts, don't you, princess?" Fred asks after a few minutes of everyone chatting after eating.
"Oh, uh, if that's what everyone would like to do? I don't mind waiting." you smile.
"Yes, let's see you open gifts! I just know you're going to love mine." ginny smiles and you chuckle.
"alright, then. You guys tell me what i'm doing."
Fred and george smile as they start handing you gifts that you open one by one. Eventually you get down to one last gift that everyone seems excited about.
You look at it confused as it's such a small box, yet the twins had purposefully held it until last.
"go on, open it up, dear." your hear molly say and you smile, working on carefully ripping open the wrapping around it.
"What did you guys get me? As if you haven't already done enough for me today." you chuckle, looking at your boyfriends.
"just open it. I think you'll like it." fred smiles and george urges you to keep opening it.
you chuckle lightly, shaking your head as you continue unwrapping it to find a small, black velvet box. Suddenly you realize what it is and look up, mouth agape.
"you didn't. did you?" you ask, tears already starting to build in your throat and behind your eyes as you look over at the two red heads standing behind everyone else smiling directly at you.
"we did." george smiles as they both walk over to you, kneeling in front of you, fred taking the box from your hands and opening it to reveal a stunning two band ring.
you can't believe this, letting out a small gasp and covering your mouth as it hangs open when you finally see the ring in all its beauty. the first band is thin, consisting solely of tiny diamonds around the entire circumference. the second band is just as thin, also consisting of tiny diamonds around the circumference, but this one sporting a single diamond in the middle.
"y/n, darling, we love you more than life itself. we're honestly not sure what we would do with ourselves if we didn't have you." fred starts.
"fred and I were so excited when you told us you loved us that day just over a year and a half ago. we're aware that this may seem real sudden as we haven't been dating terribly long, but in our hearts we knew we wanted to be with you for life since our fifth year at hogwarts at least. it's probably been longer than that in all honesty." george chuckles, smiling at you as tears threaten to spill out of your eyes.
"we would be the happiest men alive if you agree to marry us. in return, we would do everything in our power to make you the happiest woman in the world. What do you say, princess?" fred asks, him and george watching you as you nod, choking back a sob as you answer.
"yes. yes! i can't imagine saying anything but yes. I love you two more than anything in this life." you smile, tears now free falling down your cheeks as you pull the two of them into a hug while everyone cheers around you.
"we're so happy for you three. you truly have no idea what it means to your father and I to see you so happy and in love." molly smiles, a few tears falling from her eyes as she look on at the three of you, so obviously in love with each other.
"welcome to the family, y/n! we're going to have so much fun now that we're sisters." ginny cheers and you chuckle, wiping at your eyes as each of your fiancés’ place a band on your finger, the diamond encrusted one going on first, followed by the one with the single diamond.
"we love you, darling." george smiles as he kisses you, holding your waist.
"so much." fred adds, taking his turn kissing you when george steps back.

The Bros as Dads
PSA: The boys would be very attractive dads (emotionally and physically). That is all.
Note: the headcanon also includes genders for the kids. I can see some of them having sons, and others having daughters. And, obviously, everyone is older (20′s-ish).
Lucifer
Takes a while to process the news. It’s kind of a big thing. His love life was something of a roller coaster (or nonexistent) until you. The ‘L’ word was a hurdle, now there’s a B word and a P word?!
When his brain realizes what you’ve said or if you show him some proof, the pride takes over FULL SWING (you can feel it explode in him, like his aura) and he purrs
You are truly his stars, his moon, and the heavens he so dearly misses
There’s this raw, vulnerable love in Lucifer’s eyes and it pretty much awes everyone because he’s usually so proper and reserved
The memories are old and dusty but Lucifer’s parenting instincts are strong
A type-A, fussy person. You may have 7 months left before you give birth, but the house will be spotless and perfectly proofed before you hit bed rest
Piles of parenting books suddenly sprout around the house. No one’s sure where they came from or how there’s even that many WRITTEN about parenting.
You and the child become his world. You’re his kryptonite, the only thing to convince him away from long hours or break him out of sour moods
Lucifer is very stressed, more than he thought he’d be, because you’re carrying his child and he worries for your health.
He’s with you every step of the way, from appointments to birth
He’d absolutely drop everything to tend to your needs, or appoint one of the brothers if he couldn’t.
Likes to busy himself with making a nursery and is actually good at themes/interior decorating
Has a tiny desk built in his study. The child won’t be able to join him for a while, but the idea of his tiny joy working on something beside him warms his heart
Hunts down obscure herbs and items from folklore that are supposed to bless pregnancies or benefit the unborn. Turns out he’s really nervous and superstitious.
Lucifer is the worst when it comes to shopping because his pride outweighs his logical restraint. If he convinces himself IN THE SLIGHTEST that his child would look good in something or the nursery could really use an item, it’s coming to the House of Lamentation
He ugly cries when he realizes you’re having a girl because he feels like Lilith has been given back to him.
Refuses to name his child Lilith because of everything that happened. Can’t settle for anything close to her name or any nicknames they gave her.
Makes you a sleeping space in his study. Loves to take breaks to watch you sleep. Unintentionally takes a break to kiss your stomach and talk to the baby.
Firm believer in ‘in the belly’ enrichment so you’ll have music playing and Lucifer will read to them all the time.
If the baby’s not with you, she’s with him. Lucifer has definitely shown up to a meeting with Lord Diavolo with his baby in a chest carrier. The meeting went flat because Diavolo wanted to play with the baby.
He’s the type of dad that demands total silence when the baby’s sleeping. Might have tied up some of his brothers to achieve it.
He’s not a total hard-ass (this kid has made a sucker out of him, okay?) but his kid will definitely have manners and knows to help clean up.
The type to take naps with his kid. He’ll get up at 2 in the morning and climb into their crib if they’re fussy.
Lucifer spent so much of his life being the primary caretaker for his bros that he forgets he’s not alone this time. When you push him back down so he can sleep, and tend to your daughter, his heart almost bursts with love.
On the fence about another child. The kid’s going to have pride in spades and he thinks a sibling will humble them (and make them less lonely). He’s also afraid of that prideful wrath and doesn’t want two prideful little demons always fighting
Isn’t the best with dressing up his kid but likes to give them fancy shoes. The shoes are always on point even if the rest of the outfit is a disaster.
Is 100% ready to receive any and everything “#1 Dad” because he IS, DAMN IT. He’ll use it regularly, too.
Mammon
He’s freaking out hardcore (”You sure? Really, really sure? Maybe you just have gas or something. Y-yeah!”)
Doesn’t believe it until he sees a test. Promptly faints. Dead-ass faints as soon as he sees it.
Kind of remembers it when he wakes up, and you have to remind him again.
This time he’s pretty excited because THE GREAT MAMMON will be having a child. WHAT A GIFT, RIGHT? THE BEST GIFT!
All the magazines are snapping up this gossip and, for once in his life, he puts the earnings away. Kid has a nice fund going before they’re even born.
His schedule is 50% work, 50% family because YOUR MAIN MAN HAS TO BE THERE. Work just pays the bills and pads the nursery account, okay?
The Devildom has something similar to a baby shower and Mammon puts all KINDS of high-dollar shit on there. His baby’s going to be stylin’, okay?
Some crying in front of others, but an entirely different kind of crying behind closed doors. Vulnerable, grateful crying about being loved and having a tiny someone who will love him, too
Pays someone to explain baby stuff to him. How to change them, feed them, what type of breathing you should be doing. It surprised his bros because Lucifer could just give him that info. The fact that Mammon paid for it means he’s pretty serious about learning.
Gets tons of free maternity photos because all his magazines want the scoop. He gets to pamper you and see you all dressed up and beautiful and EVERY magazine has a shot of him crying like a proud sap.
Mammon hoards all of those pictures. Has a pile of them in his room, totally separate from everything else.
Has a lot of nervous energy and can get frustrated with all the baby books, so he distracts himself with scrap-booking. Surprisingly good at it.
Mammon thinks you’re just the most beautiful thing ever. He loves taking pictures of you. Wants the kid to have no doubts about how much he loves them and their parent.
He’s so lovesick. When you sleep or hug your belly or just touch it he melts.
Stacks Grimm on your belly when you sleep. Thinks it’s fun. Likes to record how big the towers get.
Not the best at getting up for your random-hour cravings and has definitely made you cry with his bluntness. When he’s more awake he’ll apologize and you guys will work it out.
When he finds out he’s having a little boy, the bros throw a party. Mammon gets semi-drunk and has a huge, ass-chewing lecture about how the bros made him feel for centuries and how they better not say ANYTHING like that to his kid.
You shot down any and all attempts to name the kid anything money related.
Almost passed out when you had the baby.
Cried when he first held him. Calls him Mamm-mini.
Totally planning the baby’s first photo shoot. Has people on standby to make matching outfits.
He now has a partner in crime and the kid can charm the pants off of anyone!
Mammon is 100% devoted to this kid and he secretly hopes he’s the favorite parent.
Lives for any second of bonding he can get. NEEDS IT TO LIVE. 100% a sappy dad.
The most supportive dad, always saying nice things because he knows people didn’t always say nice things about him.
Levi
Brain stops working. You almost think you’ve given him a heart attack
Levi feels you take the controller from his hand and instantly has to fill it with something else, taking yours. He looks at you and asks you again if you’re sure.
He can see it in your eyes and he just crows. He doesn’t know if he’s excited or scared but he made the noise.
Worries A LOT about the idea of becoming a father. Can gross otakus be good fathers? How does he dad?
Gets pre-stressed about social interactions. Kids have to go to school and have play-dates and Levi’s going to have to talk to people...ugh! Gross!
Definitely has a few break-downs (feelings of inadequacy, etc.) before Lucifer or Satan comfort him. He’s better than he thinks, just insecure. Everyone learns as they go. They have classes (”They’re like cheat codes, Levi.”) and it makes him feel better
His gaming friends send their congratulations and he gets lots of themed blankets and onesies.
Wants you to have a water birth because the water is his child’s calling. Really attached to the idea.
He’s constantly looking up guides to baby-proofing, double- and triple-checking safety specs of anything before buying it.
Spends HOURS scouring Akuzon, comparing brands, and reading reviews for everything.
Akuzon noticed he was buying lots of baby books and looking at baby-related things so they sent him a onesie.
You get a lovely beach/water-themed maternity shoot and Levi is so love-struck he gets a nosebleed. Once he’s cleaned up it makes a darling photo shoot.
Has already made lists of anime for the kid to watch. Some are his favorite, some are for the lessons and moments that stuck with him
Asmo messaged TSL on the down-low and Levi got some quality kid-sized merch.
Tries to get you to name the baby Henry if it’s a boy. When he finds out it’s a girl, he pushes for Henrietta.
Reads TSL to the baby and plays ocean sounds.
As you get further along in your pregnancy, he buys a fridge for his room and stocks it with your favorite cold stuff. Any snack foods are just added to his stash.
You are absolutely worshipped. Craving something? Akuzon has it and the fastest pig is on it’s way. Your feet hurt? Try a water bath!
You’re his Player 2 now and forever (always have been), and he’s keeping you in perfect health.
Probably keeps a video journal for the kid or of the two of you during your pregnancy. Big on preserving stuff digitally.
Probably makes a game for his kid just because. They’ll be able to play it when they’re older.
Bought a ton of Magical Girl-style hairbows and things for when their hair grows in. His daughter’s a fucking princess, okay?
Belphegor bought the baby a goldfish onesie and Levi loves it to pieces.
Bought the baby a seashell bassinet and rocks them to sleep with his tail.
Levi has a bad sleep schedule and wakes easily, so he’s usually the first one to get up and handle the baby.
He has this complex about being a good dad. People can call him a weird, gross otaku but they’re ALSO going to mention how good of a dad he is!
Super affectionate with his kid in a quiet, whispering, mumbling way. Just thinks they’re the best thing.
Having a daughter really makes him rethink some of the ways he viewed anime characters and made him super critical. If his daughter ends up liking anime he’ll make it very clear what he thinks and how she shouldn’t let other people treat her like an object.
His demon form gets triggered REALLY EASILY if his bros hold her for too long. THAT’S HIS BABY, THANK YOU!
Satan
Secretly hoped to be a father one day. Wanted to prove so badly that he could be one, and move past the constant fear of his temper looming over him. He didn’t want wrath to be his only legacy.
Can’t manage more than a genuine smile and a lilting laugh when you tell him, but he’s literally almost sick with joy. He’s just not the type to jump from the rooftops or anything
Asmodeus and Mammon convince him into drinking because he needs to let loose and really show it!
Satan ends up drunk-stumbling to Lucifer and plunking his head into his chest and crying. He’s crying because he’s happy and mumbling something about ‘granddad’. When his tears dry he’s happy as can be, smugly calls Lucifer an ‘old fuck’ and promptly throws up.
They’re past most of their bad blood but even Lucifer wasn’t surprised Satan never got EVERYTHING out of his system. A lot of his childhood memories are tainted with pure wrath instead of coming into his cardinal sin through some other mean. Or naturally, like puberty.
Between his personal research and Lucifer’s expertise, the baby-proofing is totally covered.
His book binges are strictly about pregnancies, suspicions, rituals, parenting, and anything he can think of that has to do with kids.
He’s big on teas and brews that are supposed to help with pregnancies and pains. Uses his many connections to get ingredients for said teas
Reads the classics and big epics to his unborn child.
Buys you some Hellcats for protection. They’re fiercely loyal, so he’ll know you’re safe.
He’d be the type to nag you about your diet, but not to be mean. He’d support it with this absolute WALL of evidence that turns into a lecture that could last for hours.
Has to fight the Hellcats to sit next to you or touch your belly a lot more than he thought he would. He’d never say it out loud, but he’s starting to hate the cats (he doesn’t mean it though).
Starts cleaning up his book piles a lot more. The baby would get hurt if the stacks fell on them. His room becomes virtually spotless.
You pick books to read together. You end up reading Satan to sleep, too. He keeps a hand on your belly.
Gets nervous about you wanting to go out, and basically tries to keep you in the House of Lamentation. Relents a little because hormones make you scary. He was basically afraid of nothing because the walks were fine.
You like to sit in the Devildom gardens and he thinks you look picturesque and wonderful. It takes his breath away.
Asmodeus is your personal photographer because Satan doesn’t think anyone else will do you justice.
Finds out you’re having boy-girl twins and totally shuts down. What does he say? How does he respond? BELPHIE OR BEEL WERE SUPPOSED TO HAVE TWINS! WHY HIM?!
Lucifer is BEYOND amused. This is definitely payback for everything Satan did in his childhood (so the saying goes).
It doesn’t bother him as much when he starts buying smart little cardigans, button-ups, ribbons, and bowties. He’s actually quite happy.
The Hellcats act weird and tip him off to your contractions before your water breaks. Satan gets you to the hospital and helps you give birth. The twins grow to look more like him than you, but if someone mistakes you for the nanny or says something derogatory, he’s pulling two ferocious kids off an idiot
Satan was afraid he’d be a short fuse, but he becomes the parent that explains everything to death (for better or worse). The kids will get a lecture when they’re bad, when the ask ‘why’ to something, he’ll explain why he gave the punishment he did, and be very clear with anything.
Asmodeus
Quickly falls in love with the idea of you being pregnant. It’s the best! Proof of his truest love, the thing that makes his heart beat!
He loved you to pieces before you were pregnant, and loves you even more now (if that’s possible).
Always wants to be with you, smothering your belly with kisses and touches and looking at it like it’s the next greatest love of his life
Takes names very seriously. “My child is a gift unto this world. People will know their name, so it has to be a good one!”
Gets really wrapped up in decor and aesthetic. He’d be a one-man force for all of it if you didn’t tell him to stop and breathe! Asmodeus just has lots of ideas, okay?
Has a really hard time understanding the value of baby-proofing until Satan smushes a few of his lipsticks in his hand and knocks around some finishing powder (”Now imagine that. All the time. With anything you love.”).
Hires someone to baby-proof the room because that’s just not his thing. He’ll handle securing the valuables, okay?
Constantly reading about beauty rituals and things to do for his pregnant wife. She’s doing something really hard and deserves to be pampered!
You’ll constantly be pampered or trying ‘this and that’ because he read it was good for the baby. Good for beauty, good for health, etc.
Has a pretty decent diet, himself, and keeps you on yours.
You definitely have pregnancy sex a few times. Anything he can do to help you out, you know?
Asmodeus ADORES watching you grow round with his child and LIVES for helping you take care of yourself. He’ll let you lounge in his fantastic tub and has no issues sitting on the floor and doing your toes
Picks out all your outfits. Wants you to look your best! Don’t worry, you’ll be comfy!
When he finds out you’re having a girl he cries. A lot.
SO MANY BABY UPDATE BROADCASTS ON DEVILGRAM! There is an official ‘baby watch’. It’s trending more than you thought it would.
Takes TONS of videos.
His baby is easily the most fashionable child in all of Devildom.
Takes really candid, private photos that have a lot of sentimental value. A lot of your pregnancy photos are you looking comfy in bed or sitting at a vanity in breezy clothes as he does your makeup.
The type of dad to sit down in the middle of the store to play with toys (are they good enough for his kid? Like, really?). Must feel everything before he buys it. If he doesn’t like how it feels, he won’t buy it.
You end up giving birth earlier than planned and Asmo almost throws up because birth doesn’t look like he thought it would
Super nervous during your pregnancy because you’re in pain and there’s lots of noises.
Busies himself doing your makeup because that’s the only way he can handle the situation. You’re holding his tail and he SWEARS you’re going to break it off!
The bros help deliver his little angel and Asmo is SMITTEN. ABSOLUTELY SMITTEN.
Holding his baby 24/7.
Loses sleep just because he watches them sleep. Sometimes he loses sleep for real because DAMN, babies don’t sleep a lot, do they?
It’s really hard to adjust to and he’s surprised his skin isn’t god-awful.
Doesn’t regret a thing, fawning over their tiny nails and little curls, and OMG EVERYTHING! Cries a lot because they’re just perfect
His wardrobe reflects his dad status but he still looks like a DILF. You can give him the most classic dad attire and it just looks good on him.
Beelzebub
He’s excited about your pregnancy. Boy honestly tried for it, you know? Studied positions and everything.
Beelzebub has so much love and the idea of holding a tiny someone just warms his heart
Everything kid-related is totally foreign to him except for how to act with them. He and Belphie were the youngest so he was used to being taken care of until he got old enough to climb and eat on his own.
The type of guy to need explicit, step-by-step instructions on EVERYTHING. He doesn’t have a brain for it like Satan or Lucifer, so he needs help
Seriously. Give him a checklist for baby-proofing and he’ll get it done.
Gets pretty down about not being able to cuddle and snuggle like normal, but he’ll look into safe ways to do so.
Has special snuggles with the baby. Kisses your belly and rubs it. Talks to your baby like the little demon it is (even if it doesn’t have a name yet).
Lives for the times you talk to the baby, talk yourself out of bed, or how you absently talk to your belly throughout the day.
Works out to deal with stress and nerves, but also because he wants to be a good, strong dad
The doctors give him a list of exercises you can do and he does them with you
Can’t really take the nutrition advice seriously. He eats pretty much everything and you probably will, too.
When people ask him about your pregnancy, he uses very inclusive language (”We’re expecting, etc.”)
You make mini-dates out of your late-night cravings. Beel is totally in love with it.
Beelzebub becomes your food finder. There’s been times where you look at him so cutely, so imploringly, and all you can manage is ‘spicy and crunchy’. He’ll find you something, don’t worry! He’s an expert!
Big on massages and cuddling. Likes to cup his hands over your belly and trace it.
The type of dad to gain weight with you as your pregnancy moves along. Becomes soft, strong dad.
Finds out you’re having twin boys and has the happiest crying session ever. Belphie is the first to know and all Beel can say is ‘Just like us!’ as he nearly crushes his twin to death.
Likes to dress them in cute and comfy clothes. Animal onesies? Yes!
At some point yours twins are going to look like hotdogs and hamburgers. There’s no shortage of food costumes thanks to Levi, Asmo, and Beel.
Suspicious about baby food, bugs Satan about how nutritious it is, and tries all of it just to be sure.
Some of their teething toys look like real food. Beelzebub ate one on accident.
Is a perfect gentle giant. Afraid of hurting them, for they are tiny and precious, but gets over that pretty quickly.
Always wants to cuddle and hold them. You have to make him leave them alone to sleep. Gets kind of sad when they’re napping because he can’t make faces at them or hear them laugh. Right back to his usual self when they wake up, though.
You best believe they learn their alphabet by studying food. Beelzebub will stand in the kitchen and dig through the pantry until he finds things that match the letters of the alphabet
Belphegor
He’s kind of surprised you ended up pregnant because the sex is usually lazy and casual. Yes, he has the moments where it’s pretty hardcore, but...wow. For some reason, he just didn’t see you getting pregnant.
Secretly hopes you have more than one kid. Something in him would just be happy if there’s more than one kid. You think it comes from the time he spent alone in the attic but never say it.
Sleeps a lot more. Not out of avoidance or anything, but because naps will be rare in the future. He likes to think he’s stockpiling sleep.
Makes sure you’re comfy at all times.
Would love for you to sleep and be cozy but apparently that’s not healthy for humans, so he takes easy walks around the house and keeps you semi-active.
He’ll give you his cow pillow to use as a back pillow. It’s his way of letting the baby use it until he can share it with them.
Listens to a lot of audiotapes about parenting. Looks at books, too, but does better with audio.
Reads a new bedtime story to your kid every night.
Sometimes you guys sleep in the star room so he can talk to them about constellations. They can’t see anything, of course, but he still goes into detail.
Isn’t much of a picture person and doesn’t see the point in taking maternity pictures. It’s actually because Belphie has a photographic memory so he remembers everything.
The bros force him into taking maternity pictures.
The type to journal everything. He writes a big-ass, super-detailed diary for the baby.
Is kind of worried about his temperament, so he’ll take some classes on how to handle stress and stuff before the babies arrive
Becomes King of Lists. There’s lists for everything. Lists help. Lists are good.
When he finds out you’re having triplets (a boy and two girls), he doesn’t know how to react. You saw him smile though. It doesn’t sink in until you’re hugging him. “I’m never sleeping again,” he realizes with absolute terror.
Beelzebub is super excited. “That’s twins plus a bonus!”
Very snobby about the nursery decor. Also very tactile like Asmodeus. If it doesn’t feel good, it’s not going in the nursery.
Wants a barn-themed nursery (to include as many cow-related things as possible)
You get the comfiest PJs.
With three kids, he lives by embroidery. He has to have a way to tell them apart, after all (the girls, at least).
Can’t hoard the babies but wants to. Hates that he doesn’t have enough arms to hold them all at the same time.
Is very interested by their tendency to hold each other and nap together. Finds it super adorable.
Makes a super-sized crib he can climb in and sleep with them. It’s basically a Belphie-sized bed with little attachments his kids sleep in. Separates them all just enough so he doesn’t worry about hurting them, but there’s still contact
Thanks whatever god exists that they mostly stay on a schedule together. Makes it stressful for changing diapers, but very fun to feed them.
Almost dies laughing when Lucifer holds them for the first time because one vomited on him, the other sneezed in his face, and one pooped so much it got on his pants leg.
Lulls them to sleep with his happy purr, and gets woken up from a dead sleep by pure love when they make the sound back. Suddenly there’s three chirpy purrs rolling against him and he’s in love.
Proud they love their mama so much (to the point of being TOTAL mama’s kids), but also kind of relieved he can breathe.
The three trade off occasionally when they realize he’s free real estate and come to him for snuggles. They all love him so he doesn’t mind.
This house supports cuddle piles! Belphie got them hooked on group naps for a young age and they sleep together now.
Hope you liked it :)

A Cure for Insomnia Ch.3
WARNING DECEPTIONS OF A PANIC ATTACK
I understand seeing others go through this can sometimes cause panic or anxiety attacks in some and with the use of some imagery I've used I'd feel better if I gave a fair warning that there is a detailed panic attack early on.
,,,,,,,,,,
Whoever said eight hours of sleep was the right amount for humans has never met an insomniac who just spent the last six days and five nights awake. You hoped that fucker is in hell burning for his sins, he probably has more of them that you don't know of. But with bleary eyes looking at your phone you can barely make out that it's just a little past six in the morning. This is backed up by the slimmers of light shinning through the blanket you put over the window last night. Briefly the thought of keeping it up today passes through your mind as you try to curl into an even tighter blanket cocoon.
Stretching out your legs and toes you let your muscles melt into mush in the warmth and comfort of your bed. Closing your eyes and burying your head back into the pillow, you might not be able to go to sleep but resting is nice too. You're so relaxed it almost feels as if all your limbs are floating and you feel the buzz of energy come surging back through you, you hum along with it nuzzling into the pillows.
'Your car was broken into.' the thought flashes through your mind and has you jolting up right.
Chest heaving slightly as frantic eyes dance along the room that hasn't changed since the night before. The buzzing energy from just a few moments before turns into an icy feeling flowing in your veins. It chills you to your core and you've noticed the tremors in your arms causing you to tremble. There's a sick feeling that bubbles up your throat, as you feel the phantoms of tens of hands grabbing at your arms and torso. They move erratically all over and their grips are suffocating, there's a lump in your throat that you have trouble swallowing down.
Bringing a hand up to your throat you jab your thumb right above or right at where your larynx would be. The slight pain from the pressure helps ease the lump away and you're able to get out a few frantic breaths. You hardly notice the wetness on your face from the few tears slipping free from your eyes.
'Gross, gross, gross, gross.' is the only message that rings clear in your mind as you're assaulted by these phantom hands.
You're aware this is a panic attack, but it does little to calm you down. Putting more pressure on your throat and using your feet to propel you back into the mattress. Vaguely you're aware that tiring your body out should calm you or maybe it's the release of an emotional fit that calms you, you aren't sure which and you don't really care at the moment. So flailing your legs you let your feet forcefully slip off of their purchase as you push your muscles to their full extent with force. It doesn't take long before you can't feel your limbs and are gasping for breath.
The phantoms are gone, no longer touching you as they please, and while the lump still sits at the bottom of your throat making it hurt to swallow and breathe around you can begin to feel calm. Actually it's the numbness that takes over you, not a sense of calm. The sense of an empty shell broken from its exertion. One thing's for sure you can't take your car today. If you had a panic attack just by thinking of your car you don't want to risk actually getting behind the wheel.
Everything feels tense, the muscles in your legs are starting to ache and you're pretty sure you'll have a bruise at the base of your throat. You check your phone with shaky hands to see it's now seven twelve. If you get up now and leave you think you can probably make it into town by eight forty giving you time to grab something from the Dunkin' on the corner across from the shop. Or you could call out, Nate would totally understand. But just the thought of being alone today sends a chill down your spine and the feeling of those phantom hands start creeping their way back into your personal space.
“I'm going to work!” jumping up and out of the bed, away from the grubby grabby specters.
Running around the room you throw on a pair of black shorts, unusual for you to wear at work but if you're walking you'll have to deal, sweaty jeans are uncomfortable and joggers aren't very cohesive to a work environment. Deciding on a binder made from a breathable swimsuit material for the same reason, sweaty bra is too uncomfortable and bra-less isn't really something you're comfortable with. Grabbing the first shirt you find, it's a black tee with the words “The only man for me is Mothman” printed on it surrounded by little white stars and a chibi lil mothamn.
Looking at your outfit altogether cheers you up. It's casual but cute, not to mention these shorts do a lot for your thighs and butt. But, there's no time to dwell on how handsome you are, you need to grab food and get out the door like ten minutes ago! Grabbing a mask printed with the word 'No' dead center and your headphones you leave your room. With the thought of grabbing Dunkin' before work you settle on a Pedialyte Pop to hold you over during your walk, nausea shouldn't hit you right away anyway. Checking your door was locked, thrice, you started your trek to town.
Most people would complain about having to walk or hike while wearing a mask, often times saying it was hard to breathe under the fabric. But you'd say they just didn't have the right size mask for their face shape. You'd run into a few masks that hadn't been the right shape or size throughout the years but you're thankful that your first three had been perfect. Had they been too big or small you probably wouldn't have fallen in love with wearing masks, they were so comfy and let you interact with people without your voice getting stuck in your throat.
You'd taken to wearing them after high school when you'd taken a job of watching an elderly hospice patient's corgi while her family worked on moving to Virginia and closer to her. Anytime you and little Russel went to visit her you'd had to wear a mask, so instead of wearing the disposables you'd bought a set of three reusable ones.
After noting the change in behavior she mentioned your Autism, she'd been a retired social worker and saw the signs when she met you and after spending nearly 40 hours a week together for half a year she was certain you somehow fell through the cracks. It was a shock to you when she threw out the off handed comment but after stating who your pediatrician was, she was sent into a fit of laughter.
“Anya is a dear and a great surgeon, but I think the cultural barrier has stopped her from diagnosing children for years.” she had said all the while wheezing through the oxygen mask, eyes crinkling in amusement.
She'd sat you down with a list of books to look into and written out all your symptoms, she said if you ever wanted to get tested having the list of symptoms would be more helpful than straight up asking for a diagnosis. Some doctors were too by the book back in the 40s so Autism has rarely been studied in depth. Only in the last decade or so has a movement gained momentum to spread not only a wider awareness of the disorder but also acceptance for it. But to a doctor it would seem like you were grasping for attention at least to anyone who spent less time with you than she had. But without at least six thousand dollars to spend on a piece of paper that confirms what you already know you'll just have to stick to coping by using methods you read about from forums and blogs made by people with Autism rather than their parents or someone who's “very close” to them. And like Mary Anne said before she died, “just because you don't have a diagnosis doesn't mean your symptoms aren't there.”. A statment that reassures you from time to time, when you think you must be faking it for attention. And that somehow you managed to fake tics your whole life.
Snapping out of your memories because you could hardly tell your mask was on, and has been for the past forty minutes or so since you'd finished your pop. It wasn't too hot at the moment and like the previous day Kepler's climate has no humidity whatsoever, a huge change from the coast. Checking the time again on your phone you see the clear white numbers stating boldly that it is eight o' nine. You don't feel any closer to town but figure that's normal when all you've seen is the old over grown road. You feel you should have seen the road leading to town by now, you hope you see it soon or else you'd really over estimated how long it would take to get to town, then you'd be hella late and sweaty. With the way you still had signal to the spotify you doubt you've even made it far enough to reach the dead zone.
Sighing you look down as you walk hoping to maybe find a rock to kick, walking's really boring when there's nothing to explore and you're on a time crunch. A loud honk takes you out of your head and you startle looking up. Doesn't take more than a second before you see a car stopped in the middle of the road in front of you. It's well taken care of for sure but not necessarily new or anything, you don't know too much about cars other than it looks like a black Camry no wait that's the Hyundai symbol. Some type of sedan then.
The back window on your side of the car rolls down and a man leans out and calls to you, you don't hear him at first. Slipping your headphones down to hang around your neck he repeats himself, “Do ya need a ride?” He has a southern accent on the thicker side, not abnormal for West Virginia but you can tell it's not the same dialect, probably from further down. The man has blonde hair styled in that fluffy swooped faux hawk that a lot of gamers had back in 2017/2018. He's got slight thin stubble along his jaw, not quiet five o'clock shadow so he probably has trouble growing facial hair. His eyes are that hazel color everyone wishes they could have, the kinda that had the orangish yellow glow about them. He looks like a fuck boy.
You're nearly ready to point at your mask in an indication of 'no I don't know you creep' when you catch sight of the driver. A boy around your age maybe who looks apathetic, that's not what catches your eye everyone looses the will to live at some point. What draws your attention is the mask he's wearing on his face. He could potentially be like you, or maybe he's just sick and being considerate, or he could have allergies. Whatever the case may be you can't honestly be considering getting into a car with two random men just because one wears a face mask. Hell for all you know they've orchestrated this situation, they could've been watching you analyzing your every move to know that breaking into your car would send you into a state of panic where you wouldn't use your car the next day or two, then you'd be out in the open to kidnap on your walk to town where you couldn't call for help due to being in the dead zone. Why else would they be this far along the old dirt road?
“Ah...miss?” the southern drawl brings you out of your inner ramblings, and the words cause you to bristle.
“I'm not a woman.” you say calmly but firmly.
“Oh, ah sorry sir.” you can't help but huff a laugh at the quick apology, your eyes catch movement through the window. Oh they have a dog with them, a rottweiler at that. Cool kidnappers with a dog, who's wearing a vest how...wait dog in vest oh he must be a service dog. Cool not kidnappers then, just strangers, nice. Seemingly trans allys, slight common ground with the driver, and a service dog it might be safe to engage...or at least humor these men.
“It's fine, I'm They/Them for the record.” You say approaching the car, you make your way to the man leaning out of the window, somehow the presence of a service dog puts you more at ease, especially when the dog only spares you a single glance before his attention's back on the driver, who's not even pretending to pay attention to the two of you. His leg is bouncing up and down, it's not rhythmic and no one's paying attention even as it shakes the car. Probably has ADHD, your dad does that all the time when he's at a stop light, it's a subconscious movement he even does it in waiting rooms or anywhere where he has to sit still really.
“Oh, well sorry 'bout that Mx.” the man in the window stresses the “Mx” but not in the typical fuck boy way, more like he was reinforcing it to himself. “We just saw you walkin' and wanted to see if ya' needed a ride anywhere.” he says.
“If you're going to town, I'd appreciate one, but I wouldn't want to be a bother.” his smile brightens at this but you notice it doesn't reach his eyes, probably just being polite.
“Sure thing, hop on in.” He moves to slide back but you've already opened the passenger door and slid into the seat. Effectively snapping the driver out of whatever haze he was in to look at you, he looks back at his friend with confusion.
“Hi” you say to the driver who gives his own wary 'hey' in response as you buckle yourself in. The driver looked even more apathetic up close, dark eye bags under his eyes that were such a deep brown you couldn't see his pupil he also had that fluffy brown e-boy hair. Not the frizzy hair marketing itself as fluffy but the type that's genuinely fluffy looking forming soft waves in his hair.
If they are kidnappers they're really bad at it, especially if all you have to do to stun them is sit up front in a seat that has the second most control in the car and can escape quicker if the need arises. However, glancing back at the dog you notice his attention's still on the driver, it would be really dumb if a kidnapper brought their service dog with them to do a kidnapping so you're reassured that it's just two southern boys driving through Kepler. And they happened to spot a “damsel” in distress, so they came to the rescue.
“Oh, don't mind Connor he won't bother you. He's here for Toby right now.” The man in the back says and you see the man beside you grip the steering wheel tighter. You nod in response and feel a tickle at the base of your skull, you'll try holding back the tic to not freak the two out.
Just as “Toby” is about to put the car in drive, a bark is heard from the back seat. A frustrated sigh leaves Toby as his hand leaves the gear shift, scowl clear even on his masked face. You guess Toby needs Connor to let him know when he's safe to drive, it's rude to ask about these things but you can't help but guess why that'd be the case.
Another bark leaves Connor right as your head snaps to the right moving back to place, then right, right, up, and right before cracking violently.
“There we go.” you verbalize.
Toby's looking at you in what you can only guess is shock, not the worst reaction you've had to your tics, meanwhile you notice Brian's looking to Connor who's looking directly at you now. Then his head whips around to Toby and he barks, like clockwork Toby's shoulders jerk forwards and his hands jolt up. Connor looks back at you and gives a bark, your head jerks three times cracking your neck two of those times. Connor's gaze is still on you and you know he'll be in an ongoing ping pong game between you and Toby if you keep triggering each other's tics the entire drive, if you'd even be able to get to that point.
“I'm fine, thank you.” you said looking at Connor while holding the sides of your head, trying to as your friend Emonie once said 'keep the bobble head away'.
Thankfully Connor must have had a training course similar to ones you've helped with because he looks away from you and focuses on Toby, who he gives several barks to. Following those barks Toby pops his knuckles and makes a 'mrrwo' sound, sort of imitating a cat, before his head jerks sharply into his knee that jerked up at the same time. You cringe at the sight knowing that must have hurt, hands still firmly pushing your head you see Connor settle down in the back, still on alert but laying down as if to say the muscle spasms have passed. You won't risk removing your hands, you still need a ride into town and this whole situation's put you behind to where you won't make it if you walk now.
“pfft...” you look back to the blonde and he looks ready to burst with laughter from what he just watched. Heat creeping up your face you turn and look away, sure the situation's funny but you don't know these two men and honestly you just feel so embarrassed right now. Especially with last night's incident at the mini mart still fresh in your memory.
“Will you fucking shut up!” Toby barks out, and the blonde tries harder to suppress his laughing fit. Toby glares at his friend before turning his attention back to the road, hand on the gear shift he waits for an alert before putting the car in drive and doing a U-turn back to town.
It's been a while since you've been a passenger in a car, you actually get to take the time to relax and enjoy the passing scenery as Toby drives. He's a surprisingly good driver, most guys his age are speed demons and always want to see how fast they can get away with driving. Toby on the other hand is abiding by the limit even on this open stretch of road with no other cars. But you guess it comes with the territory of needing a service dog to be able to drive, have to abide by the rules. The drive's quiet, you take it as a good thing that the men aren't trying to question or get to know you. If they were kidnappers or up to something nefarious surely they'd be trying to distract you right now with endless chatter to let your guard down. Especially if they'd been watching you and knew what a total chattering encyclopedia you could be when given the right topic. You're gazing out into the window seeing the sign of the town get closer finally when the thought hits you.
“So, your name's Toby, is it short for Tobias?” turning to look at the man, he spares a single side glance with his furrowed brows before responding with an uneasy 'Yea'.
“Cool, sorry if that was a weird question. Tobias is like the best name I've ever heard but I've only met three Tobiases, including you. Could I call you Tobias or do you prefer Toby?”
“I don't really care.” gotta love apathy.
“Cool, cool. Thanks for the ride Tobias!” you chirp out.
“Hey, forgetin' that I'm the one who offered the ride?” The man in the backseat speaks up.
“No, you just never gave me your name. You said Connor's” and ear twitch is all you get such a good boy, “and you said Tobias'. Never mentioned your own.”
“It's Brian, sugar.” you were correct, this man is a fuck boy.
“Yikes, that's gross.”that was a reflex and it was now Toby's turn to laugh at his friend. The man didn't even hide his snickers even had his shoulders bouncing up and down, you think you even caught a mumbled “I won't hesitate bitch”. Meanwhile Brian sat stunned, guess he was used to people finding his nicknames more endearing, meaning he probably meant nothing by it and it was probably the southern accent but it just made you think of the senior men who'd hit on you back before you moved out here.
“Yea don't call me 'sugar', anyway, I'm YN, it's nice to meet you three.” Toby just nods as his laughter dies down a clucking sound resonates from his throat, Brian however goes right back to his friendly persona with a 'good to meet ya.' Again it's slightly off, it doesn't feel like he's trying to be polite...it feels like...you can't put your finger on it but it's familiar. Like when you fake a conversation with Nate or your mother on the days where exhaustion is nearly killing you, but Brian doesn't seem tired or sluggish.
The rest of the drive is relatively quiet as you direct Toby how to maneuver the streets and he parks in the parking lot of Dunkin'. While you were getting out you'd asked the men if you could get them anything from Dunkin' as a thank you for driving you. Brian tried to decline but Toby spoke over him with what “they” wanted.
“Ok cool, can Connor have a pup cup?” unsure if service dogs could have treats while working.
Sparing a glance to the good boy in question Toby shrugged “Yea, he's due for a break any-anyway.” he ends with popping his knuckles. You assume Connor only alerts motor tics when Toby is driving or about to start driving, since that tic didn't get clocked.
You repeat the order to the cashier once inside. You also get a frozen caramel coffee and an iced caramel coffee for you and Nate along with a box of donuts to pick from for the day. When she hands you everything you're able to balance Toby's order on top of your box and your drinks in the other hand. Walking out with the help of the next man coming in, nodding thanks as you pass him, you see Toby leaning against his car with Connor sitting next to him, no vest on.
It's terrifying how well trained Connor is, because the dog you left in the car barely paid you any mind. While this hyper pup's tail is wagging at just the sight of you, his paws lifting slightly in a tiny dance as you get closer. But he doesn't dare move from his sit, looking up at Toby for cues and looking at you who holds his treat. Had you not worn a mask for so long you may have missed the smile Toby gave Connor as he pat the dog's head. The slight crinkles around the edges were a dead give away though. With a quick snap Connor is released from whatever command he'd been held by and runs up to you once you're five feet from them.
Drooling mouth opening and closing in an odd mute bark for a dog this size. You take note of the fact that while he's jumping excitedly and pawing the air he hasn't laid a single paw on you. Whoever trained him knew what they were doing that's for sure. Looking up to Toby you hold the one hand outstretched for him to take his items, a tray with Connor's pup cup and his iced coffee, and a white baggie with three donuts, strawberry glazed, maple glazed, and an apple fritter.
Once he's taken his items you balance your drinks on top of the box. Connor's attention hasn't moved from you even through the exchange. You're a little confused by the pup's antics but he probably thinks he can get a donut off you.
“Sorry bubbie, your dad's got your treat not me.” that dopey little face tilts to the left not understanding you aren't the treat giver at this time. You laugh letting him smell the hand that had the coffee in it so maybe he'd understand you didn't have his treat. He excitedly sniffs you, and gives you a few licks before sitting back right in front of you with a blur of a tail behind him. Such a silly boy, he deserves some chin scritches.
“He's smart, told him you'd give 'im this.” Toby says holding out the pup cup to you, as you bend at an awkward angle balancing food in one hand while scratching his dog with the other.
Connor's a little disappointed when his pets stop but jumps to all fours when he sees the pup cup. His tail is wagging so fast you'd be afraid his butt will fall off, if that was a thing that could happen. You go to put the cup in front of him but Toby stops you.
“Hold on, Connor sit.” As soon as his name was called his bottom was on the ground. “You already know his release word so when you want him to take it just say the release.” He says offhandedly while placing the bag in the passengers seat and his drink in the cup holder. You can hear murmured arguing from inside the car, but choose to ignore it. These guys clearly aren't kidnappers, and if they were it's so stupid to kidnap you in broad day light after you just made a purchase and with literally a street in between you and your work, where your boss is waiting for you.
Placing the cup in front of Connor you didn't think it was possible for him to get any more excited but his tail is now undetectable by the human eye. He looks from his treat to you, back, and back to you. Toby said you already knew the release, and there's only one thing you've said to Connor throughout the trip.
“Thank you.” it's immediate, for such a well mannered service dog on and off duty this pup has no table manners. There is whip cream everywhere it's on the ground, his paws, even behind his head. How on earth did he manage that? This must be Connor's only character flaw because Toby is back with what you can only assume are all the napkins he had received in the donut bag, and service vest under his arm.
Once the pup cup was utterly decimated Connor sat happily, butt wiggling, as his dad wiped the rest of the whip cream off of him. Showing the pup the huge glob he had behind his ear only had him licking it off the napkin before licking his dad's face.
“Wrong.” Toby called, a little bummed the pup calmed down a bit but his tail was still going. Toby paused before he slipped the vest back on Connor. Head jerking back twice he looked over to you.
“You wanna say 'bye'?” you perked at the question, if you had a tail of your own it'd probably be wagging just as fast as Connor's.
Do you want to pet a dog, what kind of question was that? Of course you fucking do. Yea you might be late to work but petting a dog is always worth it. Setting your breakfast and coffee on the hood of the car you bent down with Toby to Connor's level.
If that dog could talk he'd tell everyone you gave the best ear scratches, sure you may have smooshed his wrinkly face a ton. But you were so nice and was that baby coos, ah he loves you new best friend. Connor jumped up when you started cooing and gave you a ton of kisses to the face. You couldn't stop laughing and the repetitive motion triggered a tic. Thankfully your mask was on so Toby couldn't see you tongue poke out repeatedly as you said “bleh” in between giggles.
“Wrong.” he says gently pushing the drooling pup away. Shaking the spit off his hand before scratching the pup under the chin, right where the bottom of his ear met his jaw. The pup instantly melted calming into his handlers touch. With his dog now calm he whistles and Connor is standing up straight, Toby slips the vest over his head and secures it. Connor the puppy has turned back into Connor the good boy working pup.
Grabbing your stuff from the hood of the car you turn to Toby and Connor, “Thanks again for the ride, and for letting me pet your dog.”
You're met with a simple shrug, not much phases Toby you've noticed. Aside from his tics that is.
“See ya later Tobias!” with that you're on your way to cross the street legally, and by that you totally jay walked out into traffic in front of the sheriff. You may have jay walked in front of the sheriff, but he didn't do anything so you're fine.

Thankful
Genre: Fan Fiction Pairing: Henry Cavill/Reader Warnings: It’s kinda cute? Rating: G Length: Drabble Disclaimer: a strict work of fiction, I own nothing except the original characters and the plot line. In no way am I affiliated to any of it.
A/N: In the event I took a rare request, here you go Anon. I hope you like it.
“What's the matter, duck?” Henry gently rubbed your shoulders. Tension seeming to melt, slightly, with his touch. “You've been off the last few days, talk to me.”
A faint smile, you wave it away, leaning into his touch. “It's nothing, Hen. Nothing to worry that pretty little head of yours over.”
What were you going to tell him? Tell him that you were homesick? Like a child at summer camp, you were devastated that you weren't able to fly home to spend at least part of the holiday season with your family. It was selfish and childish, but damn it you didn't care.
This would be the first year that you didn't get at least Thanksgiving with your family. The first year, in many, where you wouldn't spend the day listening to your dad argue with the football game on the television. The first time you wouldn't be at the brightly decorated table, enjoying your mother's prize winning cornbread stuffing. You hadn't seen your parents since early January and it was beginning to weigh on you.
You weren't the only person in the world struggling with this, why should you wallow? At very least you had Henry to share your time with. Having one another was more than some people in the world had right now. Sighing, you shake your head, trying to keep the tears away.
“I have to go FaceTime mom, I told her that I'd call before they ate dinner.” You break away from Henry. Pulling your sweater tighter around your shoulders. Leaving him with a peck on the cheek, you pat Kal on the way by.
“Tell her that I said Happy Thanksgiving,” Henry frowned, his words setting in a realization.
Watching you disappear to chat with your family, Henry would give you a few minutes before casually wandering in to have a chat with his in-laws. Allowing you to catch up, gave him a few minutes to put his sudden plan into action. Enough time to send a few quick texts and order some sort of roasting bird for the following day.
Finishing his onslaught of messages and dictations, Henry glanced at Kal who was stretched out on the kitchen floor watching him intently. The big dog yawned and rested his head on his paws. “I know bear, I know. Don't you worry, I'll save you some too.” He bent to scratch Kal behind the ears.
In the other room, Henry could hear the voices coming from the laptop. Your voice sounded more chipper than he'd heard in days. No doubt to the benefit of your family, not wanting them to worry or feel bad that you were on the other side of the ocean. Confident in his planning ability, Henry strode into the next room a deliriously happy smile on his own face as he greeted your parents.
Checking the time, Henry didn't want to appear rude, but he did have to sneak out to the shops before they closed. If he was going to give you a Thanksgiving. Kissing your cheek, he smiled fondly at the screen. Informing your parents that he had some errands to run, insisting that you keep talking when you asked if he wanted you to accompany him.
“Non sense, I can do this. I need to grab Kal some more food. You talk with your mum and dad. I won't be long, duck.” Another kiss on the cheek as he waves goodbye to your parents. Rising from his seat, preparing to head out in search of the perfect yam.
Whatever Henry was up to had kept him out longer than a typical run for some dog food. Sending him a text, he assured you that he would be back shortly not to worry. He wanted this to be a surprise, parading in with an arm load of groceries for a roast dinner would not be the easiest thing to hide or explain.
Giving up on Henry and whatever he was up to – no doubt after grabbing Kal's food, he went off to the gym. That would keep him out for at least a couple of hours. You opted to ready for bed, a little early, but perhaps a good night's sleep would refresh your feelings in the morning. Henry running off to whatever it was he was up to didn't help your homesick mood.
He knew that you were upset, the least he could have done was stay to comfort you. Whatever. You groan and step into the shower. Fuck it. No use in going to bed mad, when you are already this damn gloomy. Downstairs, you hear Kal whimper a few seconds after stepping into the warm stream of water. At least Henry would be home to snuggle a little before you went to sleep.
“Hey bear,” Henry greeted the dog, taking into account that you were nowhere to be seen. “Where is mum?” Listening he smiled at the sound of the shower. Perfect!
Secretly lugging groceries into the house, Henry was pleased with his accomplishments. He'd be up before you in the morning, naturally, which is when he would begin prepping the feast. Storing the last bit of his surprise, he made a cup of tea and headed upstairs.
Sitting the cup of tea on your night table, Henry waited for you to finish in the bathroom. A soft plume of steam escaping the door as you stepped out. Towel around you, ignoring his presence for the moment. A soft silence fell while you took time selecting your pyjamas. Henry sitting on the bed watching you quietly. Satisfied with the fuzzy blue pants and matching tshirt, you continue to ignore Henry walking back into the bathroom.
“Duck?” He calls after you, not wanting to push. He should have known that you'd be upset on his running out so abruptly.
“What?”
“When you're changed, I brought you some tea. Do you want to read for a bit? I can go let Kal out, then grab my book.”
“Sounds nice, Hen. I'll be here when you come up.” You call back, pulling your shirt over your head. A little annoyed but less homesick knowing that you will have Henry to keep you company.
Spending a home sick evening in bed cuddling with Henry and Kal, a cup of tea, while you and Henry fall into silence as you are each lost in the pages of your respective books isn't so bad. It's not your mother's homemade cranberry relish, but it is a pretty good way to end the day.
As predicted, Henry was awake about an hour before the sun thought to rise. Carefully slipping out of bed, making sure to tuck in the covers to keep you from growing cold he kisses your cheek and retreats downstairs. Kal hot on his heels. After a quick run around the small garden, the pair are back inside the kitchen. Henry staring at the turkey he had bought. He may have gone a little over board on the size. Surely you had a pan to fit.
Once the bird was crammed in the oven, as if by some strange magic the damn thing fit! He went to work on the next item, peeling potatoes. After that it was on to the yams and then the green beans. Henry was a confident cook, but making your grandmother's special green bean casserole was daunting. How bad could it be? He'd watched you make this at Christmas. Damn it, he should have insisted he helped you and not listened when you told him to go enjoy his brother's company.
Recipe on the counter top, he eyed Kal as if he would give some untapped wisdom. Kal yawned and licked his lips, his main concern was the bacon that would be topping the questionable squishy green strings.
“We can do this.” Henry tapped his fingers on his thigh. “We've got this.”
“Got what, Hen?” Your voice startled him. Flinching in surprise, Henry spun around to face you. “What are you doing?” Looking around the kitchen at the mess of vegetables, pots, pans, and...was that dough?
“I uh,” Henry rubbed the back of his neck, shrugging. “It was supposed to be a surprise. So, surprise! I am making you Thanksgiving dinner.”
“You're what?” Your brow furrows, pulling your dressing gown tighter around your body. “Henry, sweetheart.”
“I know that you're upset about not being able to go home. I know that it's a bit late, but...”
“Henry, Henry, Henry.” You coo shaking your head. Walking across the kitchen to where he stood, glancing at the recipe on the work top you giggle. “You're doing this for me?”
“I am,” He wraps his arm around you, drawing you close and kissing the top of your head. “Why don't you go relax, it will be a while and I will get your coffee.”
“Or,” You hug him tightly, “I can make the coffee, then we can do this together.”
“It's your surprise, though, duck.” Henry pouts and you kiss him sweetly.
“I know, but I want to help. Besides, Thanksgiving dinner is a huge undertaking. It requires at least two chefs and probably ten people to eat. Please, tell me we're having guests. I don't think we can eat an entire dinner this size.” You look at all the food he has laid around the kitchen.
“That part I have covered, my brother and his family will be here for four. As well as a few close friends. What do you say?”
“I say Happy Thanksgiving?” You giggle at the look of pride on Henry's face.

Ateez meeting their s/o for the first time in vacations but they’re already dating an idol (1/2)
❦ Genre: Fluff.
❦ Pairing: OT8.
❦ Word count: 3k5.
❦ Requested: Yes, thank you! 🦋
❦ Masterlist.
❦ Warning: ⚠️ All the names here are fictives and are not related to an idol or a public figure.
HONGJOONG
After 1 year of promotions, comebacks, awards show, Ateez got 3 weeks break. They would need to go on tour after it, so they planned 2 weeks vacations in Hawaii. They could rest and enjoy the warm weather. But they needed to spend 1 week with their family too. While they were packing their stuff, Hongjoong’s roommate: Seonghwa asked. “Why you didn’t invite Eunjee? She would like Hawaii for sure.” The leader sighed. Eunjee was his girlfriend for 6 months now. She asked him to be her boyfriend, on a date. Even if he wasn’t okay with it, his teammates pushed him to accept. Eunjee was an idol too so he thought that it would be funny to share the same interest and career, but not at all. “Doe this sigh means that you didn’t?” said Seonghwa. “I think I will break her with her.” He said, sitting on his bed. “Why?” Blinked his friend, “she’s nice, pretty and talented.” “But she’s boring. I need someone with who I can hang out, talk about everything and have fun.” He explained. “Or I would prefer to stay in my studio, composing.” Seonghwa nodded and stayed quiet. He knew this day would come.
They landed in Hawaii safely, all of them were happy to have time to rest and having fun. They rushed at the hotel to change and leave their luggage. Before heading to the beach, the receptionist let them know that there was a huge party tonight. “We need to go!” said San. “I think I’ll stay in my room, but you are free to go.” Declined the leader. “Oh… come on Hyung! We are in vacation!” said Mingi. Hongjoong rolled his eyes and accepted. He would find a way to escape. The fire party started, all of the boys were gathered around a table, waiting for the performance. “I can’t wait!” said Yunho, stomping of excitation. The lights turned off and the public was shouting at the dancers who were getting ready. And the performance began. None of them saw this kind of show in their entire life. The charisma, the happiness, the synchronization, the traditional outfit… everything was perfect. And at this moment, Hongjoong spotted you, clapping and cheering the crew, 2 tables away from him. His smile went wide when he saw how much you were having fun with your friends. He couldn’t take his eyes off you, forgetting the performance in front of him. You might feel his stare because you looked right at him. He thought that you would ditch him, thinking that he was creepy but instead, you gave him a warm and beautiful smile. He blushed instantly and looked at the dancers again, too shy. He hadn’t the braveness to confront you again. But Yeosang and Jongho spotted their Hyung and the blush on his face. “Are you okay Hyung?” asked the maknae, cockily. Hongjoong grunted, “yes. I’m fine.” “Then if you are fine…. Maybe you should talk to her.” Said Yeosang. “W-What? No!” Stuttered the leader. Jongho pushed the leader near your table before he could notice. He left so ridiculous but when you turned back to him, he felt pathetic. “Huh-Hi.” He said scratching his head. “Hi,” you giggled. “I’m Y/N.” He blinked, not expecting you to be so nice. “I’m Hongjoong,” he said shyly. “Nice to meet you Hongjoong!” Your smile made him melt like a chocolate at 30°C. “I was about to grab something to drink, maybe-“ “Yes, I want to drink too!” he said a bit too enthusiast. You giggled and headed to the bar. When you got your drinks, Hongjoong and you talked really good and for so long, like old friends. “An idol huh?” you smiled. “Yes.” He pointed at his teammates, “they are my members.” You waved at them slightly. “They seem nice and funny. It should be awesome to go on a trip with them no?’ You asked. “It is. Everyone has his own personality. And when we are touring it’s a different thing.” You giggled; you could almost imagine how it feels. “Oh! We are going on tour in 3 weeks.” He began. “I would love to see you perform,” you finished, smiling. Hongjoong was one a cloud nine. You were perfect. You turned around to see the reason of why your friends was calling you. “Oh! I promised we would go at a night club.” You confessed, embarrassed, “I need to go.” Hongjoong nodded even if he was a bit sad and disappointed. You bit your lip but finally asked, “may I have your phone number?” He smiled and grabbed his phone, “sure!” But he forgot that his lock screen was Eunjee and him doing an aegyo. You raised a brow and looked at him. “She’s my girlfriend…” he confessed. “Oh… okay, then maybe it’s not a good idea to-“. “No no! I was about to break up with her!” he showed his screen to you. Well before the party he sent her a text saying, “We need to talk”, she just seen his message but didn’t reply. He explained the whole situation. You were reticent at first, but you trusted him, so you exchange your numbers. “I will text you soon! You smiled before heading back to your friends. Hongjoong joined the boys, smiling like an idiot. “So?” asked Wooyoung. “She’s… amazing….” He said, sitting down. “That wasn’t a bad idea to go at this party finally.” Said San, happy for his Hyung. The next day, Hongjoong woke up with a text from you, asking him for a picnic at the beach. He couldn’t be happier.
SEONGHWA
The eldest member growled for the 2nd time. “What’s happening Hwa?” said Yeosang, informally. “Yeeun is texting me about our contract.” “She wants to change something.” “Not her… but me. I want to break it.” As a marketing idea, KQ ordered Seonghwa to fake a relationship with Yeeun, a solo artist. Many fans were shipping them because they would get along really well. It could help them to increase their popularity a lot. At first, Seonghwa was against this idea but he didn’t get the chance to choose. Yeeun was hesitant too but she seemed to like this a lot. Asking Seonghwa to follow her everywhere or being glued on him every time she could. Her behavior was annoying all the members as well. “I don’t think that the CEO will be okay with that.” Said Yeosang, putting his earphones. “Me too…” whispered the eldest member. “Don’t worry Hyung!” yelled Yunho, patting Seonghwa’s back, “these vacations will help.” ATEEZ planned vacations after their world tour. They needed to rest in a calm and peaceful place. And what is the best thing that the mountain to rest? The fresh air, the calm and the warm weather, even if it’s snowing. Seonghwa packed a lot of books to rest near the fireplace. Of course, he would go with his teammates and ski with them, but he needs his own time to relax. When they arrived at the chalet, they rushed to change and wear their ski suits. San and Wooyoung were running everywhere. The eldest member was already losing his temper and Yeeun non-stop texting him wasn’t helping to relax. She was asking him which selfies upload on social media and ordering him to comment it, for the clout. He just turned off his phone, to breathe a bit. Hongjoong as a good leader, patted his back. “Enjoy your vacation Seonghwa! Don’t think about girls too much.” Seonghwa rolled his eyes. That was the last thing he wanted to do right now. They spent a whole day, snowboarding. It’s been a long time since they had so much fun, without cameras or staff being around. Just before leaving to their dorms, Seonghwa saw you, struggling to stand up with your boots. He found it cute, you were rolling on your side to stand up. “Wait for me 2 minutes!” Ordered Seonghwa at his teammates who were staring at him weirdly. He rushed at your side to help you. “May I help you?” he asked nicely. You turned your head at him, smiling awkwardly. “Does I look pitiful?” you asked. He grabbed your hand to help you to stand up. “Thank you...” “Seonghwa,” he added. “Thank you Seonghwa,” you repeated. Your eyes lock with his in a short time but it was pretty intense. You hummed to insinuate that it was a bit embarrassing. “I need to go,” he bowed at you. You didn’t reply, not able to say something. Seonghwa left you there, joining back his teammate who were harassing him with questions. He just ignored them and secretly thought about your smile. Finally, he had his healing time. There was no one at the main living-room. The fireplace gave a good and relaxing atmosphere. He was reading the book he just bought, when he heard a shy voice. “Excuse me?” He lifted his eyes off his book to see your beautiful face. He saw that you were surprised, like him though, to see you again. “Oh… Seonghwa?” you remembered his name. He nodded, happy to see you there. “Are you following me?” he asked cockily. You raised a brow, “I just wanted the plaid next to you.” He scratched his head, awkward. He held you the plaid and looked at you, sitting comfortably on the couch. He doesn’t know why but he found something really curious about you. “Will you stop looking me like that?” you asked scrolling on your phone. “Sorry, it’s just that you are so pretty.” You blushed, not expecting to get his kind of compliment. But you stayed strong, “stop flirting with me. Your girlfriend won’t be happy to know that.” He snorted, “I don’t have a girlfriend.” “Really? That’s not what Google said,” you showed your phone screen. “She’s not my girlfriend. It’s fake.” He confessed. “You don’t need to lie,“ you said. “Let me explain.” He came sat next to you, forgetting his book. The sudden proximity didn’t bother you, you enjoyed it a lot while he was explaining his fake relationship with Yeeun. “That’s… only a thing that celebrity does.” He laughed, “I know. I’m surprised you find it funny.” “I guess that dating you wouldn’t be so bad.” You admitted. “Do you want to try?” he smirked. You smiled, “let’s go on a date and we will see.” You smiled. This night Seonghwa and you talked a lot. He was happy to know that you lived at Seoul, he would definitively date you there. But the only condition was that he needs to break up with Yeeun. And he did just before sleeping.
YUNHO
ATEEZ were staying at a 5 stars hotel for few days to get some rest before going back on tour. KQ spoiled them this time. Their hotel was huge and comfy. You could get a massage at any time, the room-service was always available too. But the thing the boys liked the most was the swimming-pool. Sometimes, they would add waves and the members would challenge each other all the time. “The first one reaching the palm over there win!” Said Mingi to Yunho. “The loser would need to do what the winner want when we are back at our dorm.” Mingi nodded and got ready to beat his closest friends. When San whistled, both of them swam as fast as possible. It was 50/50 most of the time but Yunho got distracted by someone, especially you. You were having fun with your friend on the other side of the pool. You were visibly trying to drown one of your friends for fun because she started to chase you. Unconsciously, Yunho slowed down, giving Mingi a good distance. But he couldn’t stop staring at you. The way your laugh was resounding in his ears like a beautiful melody, got him weak. “Yunho! What are you doing?” Yelled San informally. He got out of his thought and tried to join Mingi but he already finished the course. “AH AH! Can’t wait to get home now!” yelled his friend, enjoying his moment. “Nice one Mingi,” admitted Yunho. He tried to see where you have been, but you were gone. “Should we go eat? I’m hungry.” Said Jongho, patting his belly. They all nodded and went at the cloakroom to change. Just before leaving, he saw you, buying a snack from the vending machine. You looked cuter with your long hoodie. He might stare at you too much because you nicely said, “sorry I took too much time.” He freaked out and gestured a big cross. You stared at him like if he was an alien. “I mean, N-No thank you,” he rectified. You smiled, “you should really try this snack, it’s the best.” You walked up next to him, but he finally got the braveness to ask, “what’s your name?” You blinked; You thought that you hadn’t heard well but replied, “I’m Y/N,” You held your hands to him, smiling. He shook your hand warmly, “I’m Yunho. I saw you playing with your friend earlier and you were really…” He paused, not actually believing that he was about to say that, “stunning”. You smiled and played shyly with the snack on your hand, “thank you.” None of you knew what to say after that. You just stared at each other. “Yunho! We are ready! Wooyoung and Hongjoong are already at the restaurant.” Interrupted Mingi. “I’m coming!” he yelled back, “well that was nice Y/N.” “What about we see each other a bit later?” you offered. His smile went wide, “sure let’s sat 4pm at the big garden behind the hotel?” You nodded, “perfect!” He bowed at you politely and joined his teammates. You couldn’t help but smile. He seemed so nice and handsome. But that was too beautiful to be true. Yunho was waiting 4pm impatiently. He couldn’t stop thinking of your little date. “Are you going to tell her?” asked Jongho. “Tell her what?” “About Ji Eun. You know, your girlfriend…” He gulped. He forgot this detail for a second. Ji Eun and Yunho were dating for at least 4 months. But he couldn’t call it a “relationship” since they barely saw each other. He doesn’t know if she was still in love with him. “By this long silence, I guess you won’t.” Said the maknae. “I don’t know what to do.” “You are not even in a relationship. And I mean a real one,” signed Mingi. “She doesn’t even know your birthday date.” He was right but how could he break up right now? “Just call her. And you could explain her face to face in Seoul aswell! But you can’t flirt with 2 girls.” Said Jongho. Yunho nodded and headed to the garden. He knew you wouldn’t be there, so he decided to call Ji Eun. He spent more than 20 minutes with her at the phone. She understood the situation really easily. Maybe she met someone too. He forgot how nice she was despite of her selfishness. That’s maybe the first reason why he fell in love with her. When he was doubting about his choice, you entered the garden. “Oh! I’m late sorry!” Yunho smiled, “you are 10 minutes early.” You smiled awkwardly. “It’s nice to see you again Y/N.” “You too Yunho!” you giggled. You both walked in the large garden, talking about everything, to learn a bit more about each other. He loved your energy, you were always laughing and smiling. Everything about you was warm. “In 4 days,” he sighed just by thinking at his idol schedule. “Being an idol might be incredible. You are so lucky!” “It’s cool but sometimes we really alone. Our schedule is full, and we can’t meet our friends so much.” “Let me know your company address and I will bring you snacks and partying with all of you.” “Okay deal. If I can see you more often then I’ll be the happiest man in the world.” He laughed. “So kitschyyyy,” you giggled, “but I like that!” “Then deal?” he tends his pinky finger. “Deal. I’ll help you to feel happy for the rest of your life,” you teased him, making the pinky promise.
YEOSANG
“Maybe we should go there! Or there? But I need to get a massage too.” Yeosang pinched his nose, already done. “We should probably go shopping too! There’s so many cute outfits outside!” “And what about rest and enjoying the weather at the beach?” he asked, knowing that she will decline. “Hell no! We are not tourist!” she crossed her arms in her chest. Yeosang sighed, “do whatever you want but I will stay with the boys.” He joined his members, leaving his selfish girlfriend heading to her occupations. “You should talk with her Yeosang. If you are not happy in this relationship,” advised Seonghwa. “I tried but she’s always crying and I’m feeling bad,” he rolled his eyes. “She knows how to trap you!” said Wooyoung. “I know that Woo, it’s just that it’s hard…” “We can talk to her if you want,” said San. Yeosang declined, it was his own problem. Finally, all of them headed at the game room, to play billiard. They craved to play it since they arrived. It’s been 2 hours now that they were laughing out loud, insulting each other because they were cheating. You were drinking with your best friend at the bar, gossiping about your co-worker. But all these laughs got your attention. You spotted a bunch of boys almost chocking each other every time someone won. Strangely, one of them got your attention. You thought that he was probably a model because his body proportion were perfect. His face was divine as well. In conclusion, he was stunning. “Y/N? Are you listening me?” asked your friend “Huh? Ah, yes! Of course, I’m listening you Changkyun.” You smiled awkwardly. He smirked and looked where you were staring at. “So, which one got your attention?” You puffed, “no one!” “I know you since the kindergarten, you can’t lie to me.” You rolled your eyes, “okay… the blond one over there, he’s really cute.” Changkyun smiled. “You should ask his number.” “Are you crazy? Look how he’s beautiful, he can’t be single.” Changkyun laughed, “stop being so shy and ask him out!” You tried to shut down your friend because all the attention was on him. Including this handsome boy. You blushed when your eyes crossed his for a long second. Your heart raced, seeing that he was smiling at you. Changkyun stopped laughing instantly and sipped his cocktail, “you’re welcome.” “What? Oh my god you are unbelievable.” You facepalmed. But freaked out one more time when you saw your crush coming to you. “What should I do?” You grabbed your best friend’s arm. “It’s your time to shine Y/N,” he simply replied, heading to the man restroom. “Changkyun!” You whispered, “I hate you.” “Hi,” greeted Yeosang. “Huh hi…” you replied shyly. “Can I sit here?” You nodded, “sure.” “Are you in vacation here?” he asked. “Yes, for a week now.” “Oh! Me too.” He smiled. His voice made you melt and gave you goosebumps every time he talked. You started to talk for a least 30 longs minutes, being interrupted by one of his friends sometimes but they all seemed nice. Yeosang glanced at his watch, “oh, maybe I stole your friend seat a bit too long.” To be honest you completely forgot Changkyun. “Oh yes… huh? I mean no! It’s fine!” “Are you close? He’s like a boyfriend or-“ “Oh, hell no! He’s just my best friend…” you cut him off. “I see…” “And you? I guess that you have a girlfriend?” He gulped, how could he say that he was flirting with you for 30 minutes now and that his girlfriend was in vacation here too. “Huh…” he hummed. You raised a brow, suddenly curious about his hesitation. “Ah! Yeosang baby! You there! I was looking for you!” Said his girlfriend Maeun, kissing his cheek. “Oh, Hi Maeun.” She smiled and looked right at you, “who are you?” “Nobody,” you said, leaving the bar. “Y/N!” called Yeosang. You faced him, “no, it’s fine. I was stupid to think that you could be interested by me.” You said. “What is she talking about Yeosang?” Asked Maeun. “Oh, please leave me alone!” he rolled his eyes and followed you. “If you get her then you will lose me!” He stopped right, thinking about this dilemma. Did it worth to lose his girlfriend for a girl that he just met? Yeosang finally faced Maeun, “ok bye!” All the boys puffed at the scene; it was easier that they thought. “Y/N! Wait!” You ignored him, but he grabbed your arm. “Yeosang, stop chasing me. It’s not like we know each other well.” You sighed, “we talked for 30 minutes only.” “Yes, and it was the best 30 I spent since a long time. I really appreciate your company and this girl… it’s just a bad and old nightmare, now.” You smiled; he was probably a playboy but something about him made you curious. “Let me start from the beginning, without any lie.” He grunted, “I’m Yeosang.” You smiled and added, “nice to meet you Yeosang, I’m Y/N.”

Aria’s POV
I sat back at the bar next to Jon. He smiled at me as he handed me a drink. I raised an eyebrow at him. He held his hands up. “It’s clean. I swear.”
I giggled. “I hope I can trust you. I am a lightweight regardless.” I took a sip of the drink. I spit it back up. He chuckled at my reaction to the drink. It was so fruity. I couldn’t even taste the alcohol in it. “What is this? It’s horrible.”
“Sex on the beach. I was checking if you weren’t trying to just impress someone with your drink choices.”
“If I was,” I asked. “What were you going to do if I drank this whole thing down?”
“Buy you another.” He shrugged laughing. I shook my head.
The night carried on. It almost felt like I had known him before with how comfortable I felt around him. I didn’t even need the alcohol. I had made him order me a beer to replace the sex on the beach. He obliged and got me the same as his. It was stronger than the Bud Lights I was used to, but I liked it. I felt happier than I had in a long time as the night rolled on. We stayed at the bar till the bartender called for the last call. That was when Jon turned to me with a smile. “Shall I get you home?” I smiled and nodded, taking his hand. I couldn’t deny the knots that turned in my stomach as I took his hand. He wasn’t going to want...well, of course, he was, a man like this had to...He could have had any of those girls at the bar.
We walked together out the door. I was expecting him to pull out his keys, but he never did. We just kept walking. “Um, don’t you have a car here?” I asked him.
“No, I live nearby. I walked here to avoid DUIs. We aren’t exactly sober enough to be driving. You can spend the night if you need to or wait for an Uber at my house. I think it’s a bit safer. You never know who is lurking around.”
“What if you are the creep I need to be hiding from?” I teased.
“Well, if I am such a creep why are you still walking with me?” He winked as we kept walking. I felt the heat rise on my cheeks. We walked a bit before I spoke again.
“I don’t live that far from here either. I could probably walk from your house.”
“Where do you live?” He asked.
I pointed towards Alexa’s apartment. “Well, it isn’t my place. I am looking for a place of my own. I just kind of got out of a relationship.” I said awkwardly as I rubbed the back of my neck. “My friend is letting me stay with her until I can find a place of my own. It’s just passed the gas station.”
He nodded, “I live near there. Maybe a couple of blocks south near the auto shop where I work. I will walk you home. I can’t let a pretty girl walk home alone. Can I?” His tone was really flirty even after what I had just let loose.
“You aren’t scared away by the fact that I just got out of a relationship?” He shrugged, “It takes a lot to scare me away. Besides, wouldn’t that mean I was trying to be in one with you. Someone is jumping really far ahead.” I blushed again brightly. “I am so sorry.” I looked down feeling embarrassed. Maybe I read him all wrong. He is just being a nice guy. The whole idea of meeting a guy at a bar was a foreign idea.
He stopped us, “You are fine. Really. I am just teasing. Trust me, you seem like a great girl. I don’t want to screw anything up by rushing into things you aren’t ready for.” He kissed my hands. “I just want to get to know you. I wasn’t even going to try any moves on you.”
I felt like I was in another universe with his words. Sure, Seth said romantic things...normally after I caught him doing something he wasn’t supposed to do or after a huge fight. The way Jon said, it didn’t sound like his way of getting me in the bed. He sounded so sincere. I didn’t want to question it. I just for once want to believe that a guy wanted me for who I really was on the inside. Not just because of my looks or of any other part of me.
“So, you work as a mechanic?” I asked him, changing the subject.
He nodded, “It is still somewhat of a new auto shop in town. We still get a bunch of customers. What do you do?”
“I am nothing special really. Just a secretary, currently. I sometimes miss working at the gym. It was more fun, but I couldn’t work there anymore after my dad passed.” Sure, Aria, just drop that huge bomb on him. I was really going to test him on what he could take.
“What happened to your dad?” He asked.
“He had a heart attack. He was really sick for a while. He couldn’t stop fighting. He used to be one of the biggest fighters in the underground world. Not sure if you know about it. It is like wrestling, but fewer rules.”
“More blood.” Jon chimed in. “I know of it. I am one too. Your father must have been Ricky Lee Meyers.”
“How do you-”
“He’s a legend. Every fighter in this town knows who he was. A lot of people miss him even his enemies.”
“Yeah,” I looked up to the stars, a single tear stuck in my eye. He stopped looking at me. He whipped the tear from my eye. “I miss him the most. He was the only family I ever had. After he passed, all I thought I at least had was my ex but it turns out, I didn’t even have him. I honestly have never felt so alone when I found out I didn’t even have him. It’s like being in a room full of people, but none of those people can see or hear you.”
“I am so sorry, kitten.” He said, pulling me close. He kissed my head as he held me for a moment longer.
“What did you call me?” “I am sorry, do you not like to be called that?”
“No...just been a while since I heard anyone call me that. It’s nice.” I smiled at him. I put my head into his chest. It was nice to feel like I could let my feelings out with someone. Even if it was someone I just met.
He grabbed my phone and took my finger to unlock it. He typed something into the phone before handing it back. “You can call or text if you ever need to talk...or you at least want to talk. I don’t sleep much so I can probably answer whenever. Unless I am in a fight which is just mostly weekends. I will respond when I can.”
I smiled up at him as I called the number so he could get my number. “Thank you. For everything tonight even the nasty ass drink. It means a lot to me. I really needed this.”
He smiled back at me, “It’s nothing, kitten.” He leaned in a bit. His eyes were moved from mine down to my lips. I could feel my heart racing as time moved slowly as his head leaned in. His lips captured mine. The sparks flew from my lips. He deepened the kiss pulling me closer to him, his hands resting on my hips. I wrapped my arms around his neck.
Suddenly a light came on, pulling us apart when I jumped in alarm. It was the light outside the apartment building. Alexa must have seen me and turned it on because it flickered after a bit. I looked back at Jon. “I think my roommate is trying to call me back in.”
He nodded. “Always has to be someone to ruin the kiss. Have a goodnight kitten.” He kissed my head before I walked back into the building.
Jon’s POV
I sat outside the steps for a moment longer after she had gone in. I couldn’t believe anything of what had happened tonight. From meeting into the bar to the walk home. I could have never imagined this would have gone so well.
I knew all of it. Everything she had just told me and more. I couldn’t let her know that. I know building a relationship on lies was never a good thing, but I had no choice. If she knew who I was before… She would never want to be with me. I know she doesn’t fully remember that night I turned against everything I thought I stood for. I knew lies had been put in place of the memory. Whatever Seth and the others had cooked up to hide their own guilt. It was something I had to do. I had to change my name. Change my look, and start a new life. I couldn’t get Aria out of my head. I wanted to give her up. I knew Seth would never ever release his hold on her. He sure did have a tight one, but I could tell it was loosening. He only had himself to blame for that one.
I heard a ‘snap’ of a twig from behind me. I whirled around as I faced the noise. Whatever made the noise quickly went back into the shadows. I didn’t have to see the noise to have a pretty good idea what or rather should I say who caused it. Seth had minions running around for him everywhere. It shouldn’t surprise me he had one right outside the girl’s house Aria was staying at. I knew it wouldn’t be long before Seth would find out that I was back around and going after Aria. I could almost picture his face when he got the news. I love Aria, but getting back at Seth was a nice part of this.
---The Next Week---
Seth’s POV
My blood had boiled all weekend long that once Monday rolled around I knew what I had to do. I had the perfect plan. Well, most of the way. I was going to confront him about Aria. Tell him, he better backs the fuck off. He should know who he is messing with.
I walked start into the American Nightmare Autoshop. I walked up to the woman at the front desk. She smiled sweetly at me. “May I help you?” Her nametag read Kris on it. II shook my head. “ Jon Moxley, I need to speak to him?” “He’s at lunch. Can I take a message for you?” She asked sweetly.
I shook my head. “I will just go in and see him now. Thanks.” I said as I walked on by. She tried to stop me, but I was too fast. I was already at the table where Jon was eating his meal. He looked up at me as I walked in. A small smirk played on his lips. I should have known he knew I was coming. This boy was always in line with my thinking or three steps ahead. Lately, he has been three steps ahead by showing up at that date the other night after not being around for a year. As far as I knew, he had fallen off the grid. I couldn't be happier that he was gone. Now, he just suddenly appears. Something was up and I really wanted to know how he knew she was going to be there.
“Don’t worry, Kris, he’s an old friend of mine.” He said shooing the girl away. I could hear the other mechanics working in the shop as I sat down across from him. He didn’t offer me the seat, but I wasn’t going to wait for it.
“What do you think you are doing?” I ask him.
“Eating a sandwich.” He smiled innocently. “But I guess you are meaning with Aria. Last I checked she was doing this out of her own free will.”
“Why? Why now? You sat and waited for years to make you move on her. Why? Also, how did you know that we had broken up?”
Jon sucked the mayo off his thumb. “I am pretty sure you know why, Seth. As for how...Let’s just say that I have my sources and leave it at that.”
I put both my hands on the table glaring at him. His eyes met mine. We held eye contact for a moment before I spoke again. “Stay the fuck away from her.”
“I’ll stay away from her if she asks me to. She asked me to go on a date with her and I am going to go. You aren’t her father or her boss, so stop acting like it. You just can’t stand the fact that she might actually want me. You could have maybe been able to get rid of any other guy that she tried to date as you have in the past. You know though, I won’t be as easily beaten. I waited all those years for a chance and I will be taking it.”
I growled softly as I knocked the sandwich out of his hand. I stuck my finger in his face. “I am warning you. Stay. Away. Don’t make me do something I will regret.”
Jon raised an eyebrow in pure amusement. He stood up a bit to meet my face. “What are you going to do to me? Get those goons you had the other night beat me up as they did to Kevin. Beat me with a steel bat. I am not scared of you. I know what you are made of.”
“She’s mine,” I said slowly, my eyes not leaving his.
“You have a funny way of showing it. Do you even love her for the person she is or do you just like having her as property?”
“Shut up, I wouldn’t expect someone like you to understand. You can’t even tell her who you really are. I bet you told her all about how you are Jon Moxley like Dean Ambrose never existed. Like you didn’t know her before.”
“Just the same as you never told her how you played a part in her father’s death. Funny, how you can be loyal to everyone, but the girl you call the love of your life. You are a true piece of shit, Seth.”
“I figured you of all people would understand the things I had to do.” “Oh, I understand perfectly. “ Jon said, shaking his head as his focus went back to his lunch. I growled softly. I could feel the anger burning inside me. I couldn’t take it. It was just like him to bring up the past as a way to justify what he was doing. He was the one that ran off. He abandoned not only me but Aria and now he was going to play as if he was somehow superior to me. I took the table and flipped it over. “You know what Dean, Jon whoever the fuck you are. How do you think your date will go if I tell her who you really are?! That you lied to her.”
He finished the last few bites of his sandwich. His eyes glaring at me. He moved forward, “I could easily tell her the whole truth about her father’s death. She wouldn’t even be able to look at you ever again.”
“She would never believe you.”
“What makes you so sure she will believe you in who I really am? You spent most of the relationship lying and cheating. How would she know this is the truth? Don’t you think you hurt enough anyway? Let her go already.”
“To you? You want me to let her go to a lunatic like you! That is fucking rich. Did you get brain damage or something?”
“At least my lunatic self knows how to treat her properly unlike you.” Our foreheads were touching at this point. I took this moment to push him back. He stumbled back a bit. “Is that all you got, princess?” He asked challenging me before he launched forward towards me pushing back causing me to fall back on the table behind me. “You should know by now, I am not scared to fight you. It’s pretty dumb to come to my place of work and try to pick a fight though. Even if you get the upper hand, I got others in the back waiting to kick your ass.” I just noticed that his coworkers had started to crowd around as soon as we had started yelling. I was sure they heard everything and none of them were on my side. I worked for the rival that they wanted nothing better than to destroy. I hadn’t come with any back up in the building, so it was me against all of them. Any idiot could see the problem here.
My eyes moved back to him. “This isn’t over,” I said before letting myself out of the building. I pulled out my phone as soon as I got out. He was right about one thing. She would never believe me of who he truly was. I also risked him telling her a secret that would kill her. As much as I wanted to believe he wouldn’t be so cruel, I didn’t want to risk putting it past him.
Seth to Aria: You need to stay away from this Jon guy. He will do nothing, but hurt you.
Aria to Seth: Like you?
Seth to Aria: Just listen to me, please. Be careful with him.

Messages for the Signs this Weekend ! (2/5/21 - 2/7/21)
Applies to all major placements!
Aries:
KEY WORDS: Faith, Patience, Peace, Rest, Reflect
Aries, let go of the need to control everything! Relax! Have faith in your guides! They’re basically screaming that you need to let go of the need to know all the answers and start going with the flow more. You seem hyper-fixated on a goal when in all reality there’s something much better for you out there that you aren’t giving yourself the time to see. Stop overworking yourself, you are allowed to rest. I’m hearing that a lot of you need to take a walk to ground yourself. Pay attention to nature and all of the beautiful things around you, please stop getting so caught up in life!
Taurus:
KEY WORDS: Dreams, Boundaries, Independence, Pleasure, Achievement, Trust, Passion
Wow taurus, there’s a lot to go over here! First of all, theres a huge emphasis on dreams here. You guys need to pay a lot more attention to your dreams, your guides are trying to tell you something! I’m seeing that you guys might be a little confused on where you’re supposed to be going in life. Like you spent so much time doing what others wanted you to do and now you’re not quite sure what you actually want anymore. Think back to what you loved as a child, this will give you a hint on where you should be going. You probably still love all of the little things you loved as a child. Resurrect those passions, it’ll be so relieving. Listen, and don’t act like you didn’t just read this. STOP LETTING THE PEOPLE AROUND YOU CONTROL WHAT YOU DO. ASSERT YOUR BOUNDARIES. TRUST YOURSELF AND YOUR OWN DECISIONS. YOU ARE ON THE RIGHT PATH.
Gemini:
KEY WORDS: Wait, Listening, Self-Love, Support, Connection, Playfulness
Geminis, spend some time with your family this weekend, or if your family sucks, your friends. If you have a younger sibling, a friend with a younger sibling, your own child, or just a young child around you, spend some time with them. There’s a lot we can learn from children! Nourish your inner child by letting loose and spending some time around kids! Remember that sense of joy that you’ve forgotten. Also, relax! Take care of your body by giving it a break. Meditate! It seems like a lot of you are avoiding inner child work. That’s your focus this weekend. Nourish your inner child.
Cancer:
KEY WORDS: Wait, Tenderness, Awareness, Friendship, Power, Self-Love, Clearing
Alright cancers, your act of self care this week is cleaning. Some of you seem a little stuck in the past and the best way I’m seeing to fix that right now is to clean! Clear out your closet, get rid of all the things you don’t wear, don’t like, don’t want, etc. Make your bed, run yourself a nice bath, relax, think about all the things you appreciate about yourself, and then jump into those fresh bedsheets in your favorite oversized tshirt and let yourself be comfortable. Oh, and call a friend! (or text them or something it doesn’t really matter just stop isolating yourself so much!) Quarantining is one thing, and I know it feels nice to be alone, but PLEASE stop isolating yourself so much, hang out with a friend, they miss you (and you miss them a lot more than you realize). Plus, it’ll get you out of your head and in the present moment. You can only sit around and think about the past so much, cancer.
Virgo:
KEY WORDS: Peace, Patience, Rejuvenation, Power, Self-Love
Listen virgo, I know y’all are some control freaks, but your guides are getting tired of your shit, and so are you. PLEASE get some rest in this weekend. You are powerful, but you don’t have to spend every waking moment trying to prove that to yourself. Slow down, stop stressing yourself, your body is NOT appreciating it. It seems like a lot of you haven’t been sleeping very well because you won’t stop STRESSING YOURSELVES. Just like aries, you don’t need to have all the answers right now, you don’t always need to know everything. Your guides have your back, I promise, stop worrying. Your act of self care this weekend is getting some good fucking sleep.
Leo:
KEY WORDS: Faith, Power, Rejuvenation, Self-Love, Time, Listening
Alright leos, y’all better start listening to your intuition RIGHT NEOW!! Y’all are so powerful but you doubt yourselves SO MUCH. STOP IT! You need to learn the difference between intuition and paranoia but you’ll never learn if you never listen to yourself to figure out the difference! Also, drink some fucking water. please. Dehydrated mfs. For some reason I’m seeing a lot of you taking a fully clothed shower in the dark, but not because you don’t like yourselves or anything, just because it sounds relieving, and omg it will be. I’m feeling a LOT of tension release from that. Also, y’all need to fix your sleep schedules. “Humans literally spend a third of our lives asleep, that’s a waste of time” is not a valid point. stop it. sleep. Your body is done with your shit.
Libra:
KEY WORDS: Playfulness, Pleasure, Creativity, Relaxation, Independence, Reflect, Risk
Libras, just like gemini, y’all should spend some time with children this weekend. I’m definitely seeing finger-painting or drawing with sidewalk chalk. Remember the pleasures of the little things, let yourself feel that joy. Y’all have the power to move mountains, but you’re caught up in proving that to yourself. Not everything is a mountain, and not everything has to be. Decide where to direct your energy, because putting your energy into making molehills into mountains is getting really exhausting. Give yourselves some time to chill the fuck out. You don’t need to be doing something all the time. I’m getting a lot of capricorn “what am I if I’m not productive?” energy, stop it. Don’t let the capitalist brain get to you. If you really can’t stand doing “nothing”, do some art. It doesn’t have to be good, just let that stress out on a canvas, or a sidewalk, it’ll feel great, trust me.
Scorpio:
KEY WORDS: Rest, Peace, Patience, Revelation
Scorpio, y’all need to learn to be patient. There’s something amazing coming to you if you just learn to wait for it instead of chasing the first offer you see. I’m not sure what else to say actually, this is a super clear message. Y’all just need to wait and stop chasing what you think you want so hard. Rest and re-evaluate. The right path will reveal itself when you find it in you to release this one. It’s okay to not know where youre going, you’ll figure it out, I promise. Stop stressing, scorpios.
Sagittarius:
KEY WORDS: Connection, Support, Priorities
Oooohh, y’all are gonna be spending some time with a special someone this weekend, or if you’re single, some friends! I’m seeing some deep conversations going on and an opportunity to offer your support and advice to someone. This will feel relieving. You might’ve forgotten how nice it can feel to help others with how much you’ve been focusing on yourselves lately. Everyone is seeing the glow-up, I promise, but now is the time to share that growth with others! You also might be evaluating who is actually worth your energy this weekend. You might receive a lot of offers. You know in your heart which ones are worth your time. You won’t make the wrong decision, sag.
Capricorn:
KEY WORDS: Self-Respect, Friendship, Magnificence, Wait, Wisdom
I’m seeing some of you doubting your intuition recently, or generally feeling a little blocked. Learn to trust yourself, and understand your self-worth, y’all, stop getting so down on yourselves. You are amazing, unique, and powerful, without ever having to prove it to yourself (or anyone else for that matter). Spending some time with friends will help you realize this. Call up a friend this weekend and do something random. Don’t plan anything out, just meet up and do whatever feels right. Y’all really need to let go of your need for control, and this is your first exercise in it.
Aquarius:
KEY WORDS: Dance, Self-Respect, Wisdom, Risk, Guidance
Holy fuck, Aquas. Y’all are really being called to make some moves this weekend. I see a lot of you have been thinking of trying to monetize a talent or just otherwise show it to the world, do it!!!! This is your sign, DO THE THING! You know what’s right, you know exactly what you’re supposed to do. You don’t have to know how it’ll turn out, take that risk! Your guides are screaming at you to! They have your back! If you don’t believe me, ask them!! Listen, this is the most amazing reading, it’s so beautiful, PLEASE make whatever move you’ve been thinking of making, it WILL work out. “Take a Risk - You have the power within to move mountains” “Ask for guidance - The Divine will meet your every need” “Step into the light - Share your gifts and talents with the world”. I cannot make this any clearer, AQUAS, D O T H E T H I N G ! R I G H T N E O W !!!!!
Pisces:
KEY WORDS: Pleasure, Tenderness, Dance, Rest
Alright, like aquarius, y’all pisces placements have something you’ve been wanting to monetize, but unlike aquarius, it seems like y’all have been trying pretty hard to monetize it and haven’t spent much time just enjoying it. Whatever you love, just do it because you love it for a while. Stop thinking so hard about it, just relax and enjoy the things you enjoy this weekend. Be nice to yourself, enjoy how far you’ve come in life without constantly pushing yourself further. Think about how far you’ve come. If you’re a musician, slow down learning so many new things and look back on what you know, play some old songs to refresh your memory. If you’re an artist, look back on your old work, do something you used to do as a kid, like fingerpainting or sidewalk chalk drawings. This is how you guys will nourish your inner child this weekend (which is MUCH needed). Appreciate how far you’ve come and allow yourself to relax, you’re doing fine.

Hey, no worries, I'm the angst Nonnie. I was asking about like a brother (in this instance Mammon) catches MC cheating on their brother (lets say, Lucifer) with another demon. I want brotherly support
okie and the brothers you chose were the oldest 4! gotcha!! srry for taking long to make this :( also i made it so only Levi's was on purpose, i didn't have much of the heart to make MC an asshole cheater dhdjdk
Lucifer
You and Lucifer have been going out for a while now but now it seems like he has no time for you.
You understand all the work he has to do for the exchange program to succeed and how much work Diavolo gives him. But still, you couldn't help but feel lonely. He'd sometimes even kick you out of his office even when you weren't speaking or you were just scrolling through Devilgram. It was irritating.
Asmo might've seen you being bummed out and looking lonely lately, so he invited you to go clubbing at The Fall with him. Said you needed fresh air, so of course he went ahead and dragged you along with him. Dolled you up and everything.
At the club, you just sat at a table, a couple of glasses in and you honestly knew better than to get drunk with none of the brothers there to care for you. Sure Asmo was there and promised to be with you but he saw some guy walk into place and now he's probably getting it on in some closet. And now you're alone.
Figuring you could sober out, you decided to dance. Again, this was drunk you speaking so could you really make since of anything?
You felt this demon walk over to you, and now he was grinding behind you. Turning you saw black hair and black and red eyes staring at you. Lucifer? Maybe Diavolo invited him out?
You smiled up at him and began kissing him passionately, even grabbing his crotch. And the male returned every action back and groped your ass all he could.
Just at this moment Asmo walked in through the crowd looking for you. The guy he met was a heterosexual with a girlfriend only wanting clout for trying to hook up with him. And he wasn't gonna be bait. That's when he saw you making out with some weird guy.
"MC! What the hell are you doing?!" he pulled you back from him, looking at this freak. His eyes and hair were the same as Lucifer's but that's where the similarities end. "And what the hell is wrong with you preying on someone drunk, you @$!?&" He yelled even louder.
Out of all his brothers, Asmo has a good amount of patience. Only have you ever seen him snap at Mammon and it's usually when Mammon starts shit up. It's like the alcohol in you washed all away and now you're seeing the entire situation.
"A-Asmo... I am so so-" You sobbed out.
"Quit it. You need to tell Lucifer. He won't be happy but he may appreciate the honesty."
Afterwards, Asmo was there beside you when you confessed to Lucifer. He, once again, kicked you out of his office, and now you were in your room crying your eyes out. Asmo comforted you for a bit but for the rest of the night, he comforted Lucifer. Who hasn't cried as hard as the time he lost his sister. The other brothers, they tried not to hate you. But they also tried not to kill you at breakfast. It would take time to heal all wounds.
Mammon
Mammon told you he planned out a date. He had you wait outside some restaurant until he arrived and for the time being, you entertained yourself on your phone.
A couple demons have come up to you and asked you for your number but, of course, you declined them all.
Two hours passed and there were no signs of Mammon. You called him, no answer. You called Lucifer, again, no answer. No one answered.
So you stood and as you were going to walk back to the House of Lamentation, an arm grabbed you. "Hello, I'm sorry, but you're stunning. Please, give me your number." And before you could decline, the demon looked up behind you then down at you and kissed you before you turned around.
"MC?!" You turned behind you to see Beel. "A-Are you cheating on Mammon?" the demon turned around and ran off, leaving you stranded.
"Beel, it's not what you think." "You kissed him."
Beel was huge on family. He loved his brothers more than anything, and now he saw you betray his brother. "Why?"
Mammon soon found out the entire situation as he found Beel standing on the street, he gave you the wrong address and was looking for you. His brothers phones either all dead or Lucifer cut their messages off temporarily as punishment again.
While Beel and his brothers understood the situation and how it was forced upon you, Mammon's insecurity went up the roof. And Mammon would rely on Lucifer and Beel to comfort him until he could accept your apology.
Leviathan
You loved your boyfriend. Really, you did. But he spent countless hours behind a computer screen. Always talking to his friends and going on raids. Only talked about Sucre Frenzy and Ruri-chan. No attention towards you.
You were tired of it so you decided to go down to the library and clear your mind of things. A friend you made in class invited you over after hearing how Levi would ignore you sometimes.
Thinking it could be a way for you to get out of the house and spend time seeing more things than what's usually on Levi's screen, you agreed.
This friend, Levi mentioned he felt rather jealous of him. But you reassured him that you only liked him and no one else, that this friend was just a friend. He is the Avatar of Envy, after all.
So after an hour or two, visiting a cafe after a quick trip to the library, you both sat beside each other. He was currently reading a poem to you off one of the books he checked out. And you were leaning onto his shoulder, your mind off somewhere.
"So, what did you think?" he hummed, closing the book. "Mmm sorry, I wasn't paying attention."
"Is it Levi? Your boyfriend? Is he neglecting you again?" You friend questioned you. You went off on how Levi would ignore you and gave more attention to his friends online that he's never met before, how he spent thousands of Grimm on some girl group he's seen live once, how he'd much rather marry some drawing of a girl in a poofy skirt and pigtails rather than you.
All the while you friend kept leaning closer to your face. "And it's like he doesn't- Woah, you're close to me." Your friend leaned in closer. No you shouldn't. Don't kiss him. You love Levi. Levi is your one true-
He closed the gap, and you kissed back. You knew it was wrong but you needed it. You wanted some sort of attention. You needed something physical. But Levi-
A cough interrupted you two. Satan was behind you.
"MC, did you and Levi break up? Or have I gone mad and caught you cheating on my insecure brother?"
Fuck.
Satan did tell Leviathan, in fact, he was face timing Levi the entire time. Your boyfriend asked Satan to pick up some treats at the cafe you were unknowingly at as a surprise and apology for ignoring you lately. Instead Satan overheard your conversation and faced the camera the entire time at you.
Afterwards, Levi shut himself in his room, lights off, headphones blasting and tears down his cheeks. He hugged the sweater you left in his room some time ago. Satan did go in to check up on him and he was especially mad at you. They all were. And you were the most angry.
Satan
Lucifer sent Satan up to Earth to sort some things out for him.
He mentioned it'd take two weeks but he promised he'd take you out and spend time with you as soon as he got back.
Now, there were three days left until he returned and you were estatic!
Deciding to go out to the store and buy some groceries and prepare him a feast before his arrival back to the Devildom.
Now the bag of special flour was on the top shelf. Demons were taller than the average human, so this shelf was especially high. You turned at a coworker that was walking past you and asked him to fetch you the flour on the top shelf.
Of course, he said yes and easily picked it up for you. "On one condition." He must be Joking. Seriously, dude, I'm a customer, you thought to yourself.
The condition was for a kiss and a date. You shook your head no and before you could open your mouth to say you already had a boyfriend, he pressed his lips against yours and handed you to flour. "Great, meet me at Ristorante Six in three days. 8pm sharp. Tell your folks I'll drop you off at 11." He walked off, smacking your ass.
Seriously what the fu-
"MC, are you cheating on Satan? You know he came back today, right?" Belphie was in front of you now. He knew he heard your voice and he thought of finding you so he could also make something for his twin.
You explained the situation to him. The sleepy boy did doubt you but told you to explain it all to Satan once you all got home. You agreed.
Satan, yes he was fuming, he was angry. Belphie had to remind him that you didn't even consent to a kiss nor an ass smack. And then you remembered he told you to meet him outside Ristorante Six.
Now the grocery store employee WAS there and he was dressed nice. And you were there too. And Satan was there too. Ready to beat the shit out of him. And he did. Satan was still hurt from the entire situation and did need some consolation from his brothers before he could hold you again. He just appreciated your honesty. Belphie, however, did say that if you were to ever hurt his brothers again, he won't hesitate to kill you again.

We’re Blooming Together Chapter 5: Getting Creative

Chapter 1-Chapter 2-Chapter 3-Chapter 4-Chapter 5-Chapter 6-Chapter 7-Chapter 8-Chapter 9-Chapter 10-Chapter 11-Chapter 12
The walk back was much better with Solomon at his side. Even if he was nervous and a little frustrated at the thought of his Secret not staying in the circle he wanted them to, Solomon talking about his latest research project was nice. His eyes lit up in the cutest of ways when he was talking about something he was passionate about. So what Asmo was indulging his crush a little bit? Who wouldn’t think Solomon was attractive, a bit odd at times, but still attractive. And he could pull off the mystery man act really well, even if he was a huge nerd deep down.
However, the closer they got to his humble abode, the more apprehension built within Asmo. “Do you think it’s too late to run away from home now?” he asked, turning to look at Solomon. He was mostly kidding.
Solomon seemed to think it over for a minute as they stopped in front of the Morningstar residence. “I mean, you could. But you don’t have any of your things, so there’s that, along with the fact that you wouldn’t get very far,” he said.
“Because my car’s in the shop?”
“I was going to say because of Lucifer, but that too.”
Asmo couldn’t help but snort. Solomon did have a point. If any one of them went missing under any circumstance, Lucifer would raise hell. He knew him, and he knew he’d do anything, spend any amount of money to get them back. In other words running away to avoid embarrassment was definitely out of the picture.
With a little apprehensiveness Asmo opened the door, preparing himself for the worst. However, he was met with a strange silence, one he couldn’t quite find comfort in. As he listened closer, he could hear voices coming from the living room.
“You had to just go and blabber to him.”
“You were the one that blabbered to me first! Why would you get told and not me?”
“Because Mammon wasn’t supposed to know,” Asmo huffed, arms crossed. Said brother jumped to face Asmo. Asmo’s arms were crossed, and a frown etched itself into his smooth skin. Solomon poked his head from around the corner and peered over Asmo’s shoulder. Unlike Asmo, he seemed almost indifferent to the scene before him. Eyes moving from Levi, to Mammon, back to Asmo. It took him a few moments before he noticed two more figures sitting on one of the chairs in one of the corners of the room.
Levi held up his phone and frowned, “Asmo you never answered my texts! Why did Mammon get to know about this and not me?”
“Because Mammon went snooping through my room, I wasn’t going to tell any of you,” Asmo frowned, brows furrowing and arms tightening around himself. He couldn’t believe his brothers. Why did they always want to be in his business when he didn’t want them to be?
He felt Solomon move behind him to his other side as he leaned against the open doorway. “Well you did tell Satan and me.”
“You don’t count.”
Mammon narrowed his eyes at Asmo and put his hands on his hips. “Oh. So Satan can know but the rest of us can’t? What? You think we’re all gonna go ‘n snitch to Lucifer?” he huffed. Asmo really couldn't believe that Mammon was trying to call him out right now. Mammon, who already told one of their other brothers about his precious Secret in less than twenty-four hours. And he was wondering why he only wanted to tell Satan.
“Well Satan wasn’t the one that went and told Levi was he?”
“Or us.”
Asmo whipped his head to the corner of the room where the twins sat nestles comfortably on the couch. Beel and Belphie were both focused on a pink sheet of paper in Belphie’s hands and didn’t bother to look up. “Sorry, we heard them going back and forth and got curious when we saw this in the mailbox,” Belphie said, a smirk starting to appear on his face, “Whoever they are, you really have their attention. Wonder how often you’re on their mind.”
“Give me that before one of you gets grease on it!” Asmo’s face was a bright pink, as he went to grab the letter only to have it snatched away by another hand. “Levi!”
“I want to be able to read some of their writing too! Afterall, I’m an expert in this field!”
“Expert?” Asmo highly doubted that.
Levi ignored him and started scanning over the words on the paper. “Well duh. Do you realize how much media utilizes the Secret Admirer trope? It’s practically everywhere, especially in fanfiction,” he rambled, “And- oh they like your laugh.”
“Oi read faster!”
“My letters aren’t for you to read!” Why was it that they didn’t want to hear about his partners any other time, but now they wanted to read all about his personal life? He didn’t have much time to think as a hand slipped onto his shoulder.
“I thought I was the only one in the family that knew.” He hadn’t even noticed Satan slip into the room. He was still in his work uniform and the scent of coffee followed him. “I was wondering what had you so worked up in here,” he said, “So, did Lucifer find out?”
“He hasn’t been home yet,” Beel said, munching down on a bag of chips, “I think he said something about taking Cerberus out on a walk with Diavolo and Barbatos. Is Lucifer not supposed to know?”
Asmo let out a sigh of relief. Good. He didn’t have to cross that bridge yet. He wouldn’t have to try and justify himself to Lucifer. “No. Not yet,” he said, “Now if you would please -”
“Levi! Didn’t you have new news to tell me about that show we were watching?” Solomon had managed to weasel his way between Levi and Mammon. Asmo knew that Solomon shared interests with some of his brothers, but this was hardly the time to bring that up! Whose side was he on? “I think it was something about-”
“A stakeout! Yes!” Levi grinned, completely shifting his focus, “You know how everything was left on a cliffhanger? Well it was a little off, but they were all in Henry’s car with some you pretty advanced tech! And you really have to catch up because I don’t want to spoil who they caught. But you absolutely won’t believe who it was! It was almost too obvious, so no one suspected them.”
Then something seemed to click within Levi and a giant grin spread across his face, “Oh! That’s what we should do!” Levi quickly turned to Asmo and gripped his shoulders, “We need a stakeout.”
“Come again?”
“A stakeout,” he repeated, “Just like in issue number twelve of My Secret Crush Affair. While Volume seven isn’t canon, it was still good.”
“That’s not a bad plan ya got there.”
Asmo turned to look at Mammon and rolled his eyes, “Ah yes, because this won’t be suspicious, and Lucifer totally won’t figure us out.”
“You just leave ol’ Luci to me,” Mammon grinned, slapping Asmo’s back, “Your big brother Mammon is gonna make sure we get you with your lil admirer.”
His brothers were going to assure that Asmo would die single.
Suddenly, Solomon clapped his hands together, bringing all eyes back to him. “Well, this entire situation has been fun, but unfortunately I need to steal Asmodeus away, we still have things we need to get done,” he smiled, somehow managing to free Asmodeus from his brothers and encourage him towards the door. “We’ll leave the plotting to the rest of you, have fun!”
Asmo shook Solomon’s hands off of him as soon as they were out of sight. “What was that about? Do you enjoy the pain my brothers put me through?” he huffed, making his way upstairs, Solomon following quickly behind him, “We don’t even have any more work to do!” Or rather Asmo didn’t feel like being productive anymore. Once they left Solomon’s, he’d lost any motivation to do anything outside of his designs.
“It didn’t seem that bad to me.”
“You don’t understand, you don’t have to live with them. I love them all dearly, but I can’t.” Asmo opened the door to his room and flopped over onto his bed, “And they still have my letter, and they read it before me! The nerve.”
He felt the bed shift a bit and Solomon place something on his chest, “Oh? Are you so sure about that?”
His letter .
“Oh Solomon I love you and your little nerdy tricks!” Asmo squealed, wrapping his arms around his waist and squeezing tight, “Thank you thank you thank you !” Oh he could go on and on about how much he adored Solomon in this moment. Well, more than normal. It was also possible that just maybe Solomon’s little magic tricks had more uses than just for showing off at parties.
Solomon’s hand rubbed against his shoulder, “I know how much they mean to you.” Asmo could feel Solomon’s eyes on him as he let go, fingers dancing along the edge of the paper. Solomon always knew what was important to Asmo, but that’s just how friends were right? After all, Asmo knew what was important to Solomon. Sometimes he wouldn’t see him for weeks because he became so buried within his studies or a new book he found interesting. Then he would get paragraphs of text messages or hour long phone conversations if they couldn’t meet in person. He liked hearing about it,even if he didn’t understand what Solomon was talking about. He was passionate about his fascinations, and Asmo liked that.
“Are you going to read it?”
Asmo let out a soft hum in contemplation before setting the letter down. “Later. I like to read them when I’m alone. Reading someone else’s words of affection is a very intimate thing,” he said, “But of course you can expect me to tell you all about it later.” He wished he could have kept the first read for his eyes only, but it couldn’t be helped now. Maybe Secret would be a little more secret next time. Or at least they could be a little more careful when it came to their placement of the letters. What if they wrote something meant for his eyes only? Or what if his brothers interpreted something wrong? Or what if Lucifer found them?
“I can tell you what we can do though,” he smiled, getting up off of the bed, and towards his closet. Hanging up nice and neat in plastic wrap was his class project. “I finished the adjustments, and since you’re here-” He skipped back over and pushed it towards Solomon expectantly. “Try it on? Just to make sure I have it right?”
Of course he did it right. This wasn’t the first project he’d done with Solomon.
Nonetheless, Solomon would still amuse him, and damn did he look good.
The only thing that Asmo couldn’t take his eyes off of was the flower. The silk yellow petals were still closed tightly. Nimble fingers gently peeled them back, making them open up ever so slightly. It reminded him of a starburst unfolding against the night sky. Overall, the slight bloom to the flower added to the design. “Does everything feel alright? Nothing too tight?”
“I think we’re good to go. What are you going to do with it when your project is done?”
“Well, I was thinking I could use it as an example of my work, if you don’t mind me taking pictures of you in it. You are my perfect model after all!”
Solomon leaned against him, eyes shifting towards the corner of the ceiling, a drawn out hum starting to leave his mouth. Asmo snorted and shoved Solomon half heartedly.
“ And my most absolutely, positively, wonderful, bestest friend in the entire world whom I adore.”
Just as Asmo was about to invite Solomon to stay for dinner, his phone buzzed. Solomon unlocked it, eyes scanning over the words before slumping against the counter. “I forgot that meeting was tonight…” he sighed, setting the phone down while carefully unbuttoning the jacket. “I’ll see you tomorrow. Don’t forget to tell me all about your letter, Asmodeus.”
Even if Solomon wasn’t serious, how could he forget?
******
“Come on Lucifer, come out, just for one night.”
“I can’t, and unfortunately my answer will remain so no matter how many times you ask.”
Asmo was coming down the stairs when Lucifer walked through the door. Currently he was kneeling on the ground, undoing the leash of a very wiggly Cerberus. Diavolo was next to him, trying to make eye contact, but Lucifer’s eyes were fixed on the dog. As soon as Cerberus was free, he took off down the hallway and then back towards the door before sitting and wagging the weapon that Lucifer called a tail.
“Cerberus, sit ,” Lucifer commanded, before standing and looking down at Diavolo, “It’s my turn to cook tonight. It would be nothing short of irresponsible to back out last minute, not to mention unfair to the others.”
Diavolo’s frown deepened and Asmo swore his eyes got a little. It was only then that he noticed Barbatos, who stepped in between the two. “Perhaps another time Sir. I can schedule you a time next Thursday? I believe I could shift some things around,” he said, snapping open a calendar from his person. Asmo could only hope he had a secretary as good as Barbatos, whenever he made it big.
“Tonight would be just as swell,” Diavolo insisted, “Besides, things have been busy, incredibly busy. Surely you can take a break just this once! Let me take you out. It’s my treat.”
“You really don’t need to. You’ve already done more than enough for me.”
“Just let me Lucifer, please, let yourself relax.”
Asmo leaned against the banister as he listened with amusement. Sure Diavolo had known Lucifer for a while, but Asmo had known his big brother since he’d been born. Hell would freeze over before Lucifer gave into anything that caused him to deviate from a plan or schedule. Well, anything he considered minor, if it was serious he’d do whatever he could. He liked watching the man try to win his brother over though. He’d asked Lucifer before if there was anything more serious going on between the two of them, but he was only met with a sharp glare that screamed ‘none of your business’. Well maybe it was none of his business, but he still liked to know. Lucifer had always made sure all of his brothers were on their best behavior whenever Diavolo was over. He could still remember how he nervously paced the halls the first time he invited him over and introduced him to his tiny family. Asmo remembered liking Diavolo because he let him put one of his bows in his hair. It was only an issue when his brothers invaded his privacy, but everyone else was fair game.
Usually these little back and forths lasted for a while, and most of the time Diavolo would head home with that puppy dog head of his hanging and Barbatos penciling in a quick four o’ clock for dinner after work. It was always amusing even if he was watching reruns most of the time. Lucifer was just about to win the battle once again when a new voice interrupted him.
“Go on ahead Luci, take the night off fo’ yo’self.”
All heads turned to Mammon, who was standing a little farther down the hallway. Asmo wondered what he could possibly be playing at, or what he had done that might get him in trouble with Lucifer. Then it clicked. He was actually going to make an attempt to throw Levi’s hand into action. No way.
Lucifer’s eyes narrowed and his entire body seemed to become stiffer. He looked like a snake ready to strike. “Mammon-”
“Nah, I mean it. I’ll take the rest of the boys out somewhere else. When’s the last time you’ve had a break huh? Let Dia treat you.”
Diavolo lit up and turned from Mammon back to Lucifer, “See? It looks like you’ll have dinner covered! Come on Lucifer, I’ll even let you pick where we go out to!” Even from where he was Asmo could see the twitch in Lucifer’s eye.
“Mammon. If I even get word or discover that you are up to something-”
“Hey! Hey! Relax! I ain’t plottin nothin!” Mammon said, looking rather offended, “Is it so suspicious that I wanna do something nice for my little brothers and give our biggest dearest brother a night off?”
“He’s being nice Lucifer,” Diavolo said, sneaking one of his hands up to Lucifer’s shoulder, “Come. Have dinner. Enjoy a night off. You’ve been working so hard.”
The tension emitting from Lucifer could have cut the silence of the room like a knife. But his will was cracking. Between Mammon’s offer and Diavolo’s insistence it was hard to say no. Lucifer let out a slow breath, Asmo leaned over the banister a little more.
“Asmodeus.”
Asmo let out a squeak and stumbled back a bit as Lucifer’s eyes turned up towards him.
“Come here. If you’re done with your eavesdropping that is.” It wasn’t a request. Asmo made his way down the stairs and stood in front of his brother. “You and the others will make sure Mammon does as he says-”
Mammon let out a scoff.
“-and let me know if something happens otherwise.”
Diavolo’s eyes lit up and a blinding grin plastered itself across his face. Asmo couldn’t help but notice how happy his brother made Diavolo, or how (even if Lucifer wouldn’t say so himself to their family) Lucifer seemed in better spirits after spending time with Diavolo. It was sweet. Maybe one day Diavolo could get Lucifer to loosen up.
“Asmodeus?”
“Of course brother dearest.”
Mammon mumbled under his breath, “ Kiss up .”
Lucifer nodded, somewhat satisfied, but still a little apprehensive. He turned to Diavolo and nodded, “Shall we then?”
Asmo had never seen anyone nod faster as Diavolo took his brother’s arm, “ Yes . Don’t worry, I’ll make sure tonight is nothing but relaxing for you! You won’t regret a thing I promise!”
Lucifer turned his head one last time. Be safe .
He cared, he really did. Then they were gone, Barbatos swiftly following behind and Cerberus watching even after the door closed.
“I believe you owe me a thank you now,” Mammon said, slinging his arm around Asmo’s shoulder.
“ Thank you ?”
“You’re welcome!”
Asmo groaned. It was going to be an incredibly long night.
*******
“I can’t think of anything more appropriate than takeout.”
“Mammon.”
“Y’know why?”
“ Mammon I swear to g- ”
“Stakeout Takeout!”
“ Mammon .”
This night was going to be worse than long. It was an absolute nightmare that Asmo couldn’t wait to wake up from. Currently Asmo was in the back seat with three of his other brothers, with Mammon and Levi in the front. If they got arrested because they had too many people in the car Lucifer would kill them. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to find out who Secret was, he just didn’t want to find out like this. Not with his brothers surrounding him.
“I thought stakeouts had steaks,” Beel said, through mouthfuls of food, “You know, kind of like a cookout.”
“I also thought that we were supposed to be in more than one location,” Belphie grumbled, slumped against, Beel’s shoulder. While this was true, currently they only had one functioning car and Lucifer’s was off limits.
Asmo was moving his food across the little styrofoam container. His appetite had abandoned him. How could he eat in a situation like this? It was unthinkable! Besides, even if the chances of catching Secret were slim, they were still there. They hadn’t even really planned how to do this. Mammon just shoved everyone in his car and then sped off down the road.
“Aren’t you going to eat Asmo?”
“Huh?” At first Asmo wondered if Beel was just looking at his food, then he noticed the concern. He quickly looked away and back down at his plate, “I dunno, I’m just not really hungry. You can have it if you want.”
Beel shook his head, the concern not leaving his eyes, “Are you alright?”
Asmo didn’t answer. What if he would be disappointed when he finally met Secret? In all honesty he needed to stop comparing them to Solomon. Solomon was Solomn, and no one else would be like him, and Solomon wasn’t into him. It hurt, but it was the truth. He needed to stop thinking it was him, he would only get hurt when the inevitable occurred.
….
But then again-
It could be him .
Wouldn’t that be the perfect romance? His best friend, who he adored, falling in love with him. But it didn’t make sense. The handwriting was too neat to be Solomon’s, the curves were too perfect. But it still could be .
“Alright!” Mammon’s voice snapped him out of his thoughts, “Welcome to our official first stakeout to find out who’s been havin the eyes for our little Asmo.” He leaned back in his chair looking back at all of them as Levi remained focused on some sort of software program on his laptop. “Objective number one, come up with a plan of action.”
“Is this because you drove us all the way out to this alley and then realized we had no way of tracking this person down?” Satan didn’t even bother looking up from his book as he spoke. He seemed bored. Satan was more of a neutral participant in the whole thing. Asmo was at least grateful he wasn’t encouraging any of this.
“‘Ey shut it,” Mammon hissed, making Satan smirk. He knew he’d hit the nail on the head. “Anyways, Levi is working on something that should be able to help us out with this whole thing, right Levi?”
“Uh… Maybe?”
“Good enough for me!”
“In any case,” Levi took over, “In order to have a successful stakeout, and catch out perp-”
“They’re not a criminal ,” Asmo interjected. Honestly, Asmo might cry if they were. He really needed positivity coming his way when it came to this… Why couldn’t his Secret just stayed his secret?
“-We’ll need bait,” Levi finished, pretending that Asmo hadn’t just interrupted him.
Mammon grinned and lowered his glasses, looking directly at Asmo, “And that’s where you come in our darling little brother.”
“Excuse me?”
“Your little Romeo’s only ever left stuff in your bag or in our mailbox. So it’s natural to assume that they know ya pretty well,” Mammon said lying back even further. Asmo would admit, his wording made it sound a little creepy, and he could feel both Satan and Beel’s concerned eyes glancing towards him. “So, reason stands that they would have to be near you at some point in the day!”
Mammon was practically beaming, like he’d just cracked some sort of major mystery. However, Asmo wasn’t too impressed. There was a glaring problem with Mammon’s oh so obvious point .
“Mammon. I am on a college campus. I am constantly surrounded by people.”
Mammon snorted, “Well, we’ll just have someone keep an eye out! Like Beel and Belphie!”
Belphie was already fast asleep on Beel’s shoulder, and Beel had stopped paying attention to Mammon’s plan and was digging into the takeout. However, Beel did glance up for just a moment, looking apologetic as a noodle disappeared into his mouth.
“I’m sorry…. Was I supposed to be listening? If you say it again I promise I’ll listen this time.”
Mammon’s head fell onto the horn of his car.
*******
Your smile lights up my days
Even in the darkest of nights
I know that you would always guide me home
Your laughter dances over my thoughts
Possessing my entire being.
I adore adore you
Everything about you
Everything you are
Has anyone ever told you you’re intelligent?
That you’re so incredibly creative?
You could create a new world if you wanted to
An entire universe.
I would follow you there
Because any world created by your hands would be paradise.
Any being living there would be blessed,
Because you’re kind
And loving
And perfect.
I would follow you anywhere if you asked
And I would give up everything in order to do so.
Think of me,
Your Secret
Saving this letter til after he had got home from this disaster of a night had been a wonderful idea. Asmo could feel a warmth spreading throughout his entire body. Secret cared about more than just his looks. Of course Asmo knew he was attractive, he’d always known. In fact, he’d had partners be with him solely for his looks, like a past girlfriend, who’d said all of their pictures would be beautiful. He hadn’t matched exactly the way she’d wanted for one once, and that was it. Or how another partner had brought him to a party his freshman year of college, only to be shown off to various people he didn’t know. He left back home alone that night, it was all too uncomfortable. But Secret cared . Secret paid attention to him. Secret wrote like there was more to him.
He had to stop the tears from dripping onto the parchment.
Now wonder his brothers were determined to find them.
Even though it was late, Asmo couldn’t sleep. He’d been tired before, when he first got home from their first (and according to Mammon and Levi it wasn’t their last) failed attempt at a stakeout. He’d wanted nothing more than to curl up and go to sleep. But now… Now as he laid there with wet eyes, all he could think about was how it would feel to have his Secret whisper those words to him in the dark.

Also, I proofread this twice but if there are still mistakes that escaped me, I apologize. I hope you guys like it. PLEASE comment and/or message me your reactions. I missed it! xx
PS. I’m not sure if this can be read as stand-alone. If it gets confusing, you might need to read See You In A Minute series first. Please refer to the masterlist on my description.
***
Semi-retirement from fieldwork and mostly working on your lab at the compound is so reminiscent of your days as International Operations Director of STARK Industries. Your time is on your hands to do what matters to you the most and that’s spending time with your family. Anyone who knew you before you joined the Avengers would laugh at the idea of you settling down nicely to family life.
You and Tony were a force of nature, who comes and goes as you both please; leaving satisfied bodies but empty hearts. No one can keep you down long enough to tie you down. You’re always on the move; either galavanting the world using Tony’s private plane or crossing international waters lazily using your own yacht.
You were brought back to the present when you felt your daughter kick you under the lab table where the two of you are playing chess. You two are the designated people to man the fort while the Starks are in Miami, and your wife went to check up on Laura with Maria, Wanda, and Carol. The old you would have felt bummed to be left behind but spending alone time with your daughter is hands down one of the best use of your time; up there with being in the company of your wife, of course.
“Where’d you go, mom?” Asya asked as she surveys the chessboard; definitely planning a massacre of your pieces.
You smiled up at her because even though a lot of people said she looks like you, there are moments where she looks exactly like Natasha. Heaven knows you’re so whipped for both the two.
“I just thought of how no one from my past would ever tell you married life is where I’m headed.”
“Not even uncle Tony?” she asked as she glances up at you.
You grinned, “especially not Uncle Tony.”
Asya laughed. She has heard stories from Tony and the others about you, before joining the Avengers and before dating Natasha but she’s never heard your side of the story yet. She moved her King in preparation to make her killer move.
“Mom, would you mind telling me how you and mom met?” she asked sheepishly. “From your perspective, I mean.”
You looked at the board for a minute before looking back up at your daughter. “It’s a long story.”
”We have time,” she defended easily. Because you have, Natasha and the others are not gonna be back until tomorrow night.
You glanced at the clock. “Very well. We should finish this and order some pizza?”
Asya’s eyes twinkled with excitement at the prospect of hearing your story, as well as having greasy delivery pizza for dinner. She immediately hopped off her seat before standing at the side of the table. “Then make your move already mom, we don’t have all night,” she sassed playfully.
Yup, totally just like your wife, Venom said in your head.
You chuckled before moving your piece. “Checkmate,” you said before standing up and walking towards the door of your shared lab.
Asya gaped at the board. She was sure she got you on her hook.
Savage, Venom cheered in your head. You only chuckled to yourself.
“Coming, love?” you asked innocently. When she looked at you, there was pure adoration in her eyes and maybe a hint of fire. Surely, she’s gonna ask for a rematch in the coming days. After all, she’s yours and Nat’s daughter.
***
Eating at the huge family dining table without the rest of the family home is a tad depressing for both you and Asya. So you two decided to just bring your box of pizza at the front porch.
“Go on mom. I wish to sleep at some point in the night,” Asya sassed as she dabs the pizza with a napkin to rid it of excess oil; a habit she picked up from Nat for sure.
You laughed heartily. “Okay, okay. I met your mother the day I arrived back in Miami,” you started.
Asya knew the basics: how you were basically adopted by the Starks after your parents passed away, how you and Tony are thick as thieves; going to the same university, traveling the world until you two decided to stay in Switzerland for a while. The only time you were basically separated was when Tony needed to run the business in the US and he needed you to stay on top of the business in Europe and Asia.

You inhaled deeply as you stood on the pavement in front of Stark Industries Headquarters before squaring your shoulder and strutting inside the massive building. You were immediately met by Dylan an intern who was supposed to escort you to Tony’s office. Dylan blatantly stared at you through the mirrored walls of the elevator. Typical. When the lift stopped at the penthouse, he didn’t step off.
“Thank you, Dylan,” you said smiling. He looked so surprised that you even bothered to read his nameplate.
You walked the short distance from the lift to the door and was not surprised to see the most beautiful woman you’ve ever laid your eyes on. Definitely typical since Tony has a knack of choosing the prettiest woman to be by his side. After all, he chose Pepper.
“Hi, I’m here to see Tony,” you greeted politely. You had to reign in the urge to shiver and groan the moment her green eyes met yours. She’s breathtaking that you had to take a moment to compose yourself. You’re Y/N Y/L/N, you reminded yourself. You get girls as pretty as her whenever and wherever you go.
“Name?” she asked confidently, her eyes never wavering. At that moment you knew, this woman, this Natalie Rushman is different from Tony’s previous assistants.
“Y/N Y/L/N,” you answered.
Natalie looked at her computer. “I’m sorry but you’re not on his scheduled meetings today,” Natalie said matter-of-factly. You tried to pout, and talk your way in but Natalie isn’t one to swoon over you. Not typical!
“Come on, Natalie. I know for a fact that he’s having lunch with Pepper right now,” you said as you walk a few steps towards the door but Natalie was lightning fast on her feet and already blocking your path.
“Take one more step,” she warned you.
You were right, this woman is something else because, at this point when you’re this obnoxious, Tony’s previous assistants would do only two things. One, they will faux put up a fight but let you in any way. Two, they will call security on you. So far, Natalie has done none of that.
You cocked your head to the side. “Or what?” you challenged her by stepping right into her personal space.
Natalie looked into your eyes before she shoved you and pin you against her table, which causes some of her things to fall and make a ruckus on the floor. She wasn’t really hurting you but her grip is strong and she’s clearly capable if you pushed her one more time. Any other time someone pushes you, you would have been mad but instead, you just started laughing. Natalie looked at you like you’ve grown another head but she didn’t let you go.
“First meeting and you’re already tied down,” Tony snickered from the door where he and Pepper are standing to check on the noise. You groaned at the fascinated look of your friends' faces.
Natalie let you go. You stood up and started straightening your navy three-piece suit.
“Fuck off,” you said before walking towards the pair.
“Not you though,” you said to Pepper before giving her a familial kiss on the cheeks.
“Welcome home,” Pepper said before shooing you and Tony inside. When the door closed, Pepper walked towards Natalie who was suddenly feeling self-conscious.
“Who was that?” she asked quietly after picking up all her stuff from the floor.
“That’s Tony’s best friend, his little sister. She has level 10 access to Tony too.”
“Shit,” Natalie cursed under her breath.
“Don’t worry she’s cool. Sometimes, even cooler than Tony,” Pepper said before walking away laughing.
***
“Mama pinned you on your first meeting?” Asya asked before breaking into fits of giggle.
“Stop! It wasn’t that bad,” you said as you throw the pizza box on the bin.
Asya walked back to the house on the reverse so she can look at you. “I’m sure it wasn’t, mom. It’s very romantic,” she said teasingly.
Very, Venom decided to chime in and gang up on you.
“I had enough of your sass, missy. You better run,” you mock threatened her. Asya squealed before running off inside the house. You laugh hard before walking leisurely after her.
***
After checking that all the doors were locked and activating the night security protocol, you walked back to the common living area only to be met by a flying pillow right in your face. You let out a very dramatic fake gasp and caught the pillow in your hand. When you looked at your daughter, already looking comfortable on her very own blanket fort.
“What happened next?” she said while wiggling her toes at you.
You held up a finger before running upstairs and rushing through your nightly routine. After exactly, ten minutes, you came down with your matching silk pajamas.
“Finally,” Asya groaned dramatically but smiling.
***
The second time you met Natalie, you didn’t expect it to be at S.H.I.E.L.D Headquarters where Fury is introducing you to the Avengers as the new recruit. She doesn’t look happy to see you there. She looked like she wanted to protest your credentials but was polite enough not to do so in front of everyone. Tony was so happy when he found out Fury accepted your application at S.H.I.E.L.D. It’s the least you can do since you failed at convincing your best friend not to join a ‘superhero initiative’.
Pepper still wasn’t happy by your “alternative solution”, saying how now she has to worry for two. Fury deemed that two heads like Tony Stark are better than one. Hence, why he accepted you at S.H.I.E.L.D. Afterall, you were the one who helped Tony synthesize the new element to stabilize and upgrade the Iron Suits. Your job at S.H.I.E.L.D is mainly at labs, helping build new weapons for the agents and the Avengers.
Word travels fast even in a secret organization. People at the labs kept wondering why you’re in there with them when you can be out there with the Avengers. A conversation that came up once when you decided to take a break at the same time as everyone. It was a bright and sunny day, the lab rats decided to eat a snack at the outdoor sitting area when the quinjet landed on the distance. Everybody watched you watch the plane come to a full stop.
“They said you grew up with Tony Stark. They said you’re as smart as him,” the one named John said.
You turned to him. “Is there a question in there?”
A younger man, named Carl, smiled. “They said you have a black belt in jiujutsu and mixed martial arts as well.”
"I still don’t hear any question,” you said smiling before taking a sip of your coffee.
“I guess what they were getting at is why are you in the labs with us?” the only other woman in your lab team, Hailey, asked. “You can be one of them with that credentials,” she continued, nodding towards the direction of the quinjet.
It’s not a new question; you’ve heard variations of it a lot of times when you were growing up with Tony. And the answer has always been the same. “Someone has to look after his back.”
They all cocked their heads to the side. “You can’t watch someone’s back if you’re too close to them. I’m better at protecting him from here; where I can see clearer.”
Your team was surprised that you’re foregoing the fame that comes with standing side-by-side Tony Stark. Then they all nodded, newfound respect shining in their eyes.
“Besides, I’m really not good at limelights. That’s Anthony’s thing, I’m more of the fly-under-the-radar type,” you continued lightly.
“You mean you’re the lab rat type,” John joked cautiously but relaxed when you broke out into a belly laugh.

The third time you saw Natasha was in the training room. A part of the being a S.H.I.E.L.D agent was to know how to fight. Even though you have a background on different fighting styles, you still pushed yourself to train harder. You found out a long time ago that you liked training in private and that’s how Nat found you punching and kicking at the bag until it broke open. She stole your file from Maria, she knows your credentials but something about you irks her.
“What did the bag do to you?” Nat asked from the doorway in lieu of a greeting.
You looked up at the sound of her voice and you smiled at her when you spotted her leaning against the doorway. Nat thought your smile was charming but she wouldn’t be caught dead admitting that.
"Good morning, Agent Romanoff,” you said before picking up your water bottle and chugging the contents of it.
Nat didn’t mean to but she followed the movement of your throat, down the curve of your neck to your tracksuit covered chest. You coughed to catch her attention. When she looks up she didn’t know whether she wanted to punch or kiss the smug look off your face. So what if you caught her blatantly checking you out?
“Training at this hour?” she asked holding your eyes. She’s Natasha Romanoff, she’s not gonna be intimidated just because you’re super cute.
“Yes, I woke up early for a conference call in Geneva. I couldn’t go back to sleep. So, I thought I might as well just start early," you explained.
You tried not to vomit the words but failed spectacularly. Nat thought it was adorable as she watches you wrap a protective bandage against your bruising hand.
“You’re still working at Stark Industries?” she asked impressed.
“Technically, yes. I’m a member of the board and consultant. I mostly only work with Pepper and Tony now,” you answered.
Something about Natasha renders you unable to give simple answers, it annoyed you. When she didn't say anything else, you took it as your queue to leave. You’ve heard how the Black Widow likes her space, keeps to herself and not one who gets chummy with agents.
“Do you want to train with me?” Nat asked.
Something about her voice gave away her hesitation. You looked at her bewildered at first but you grinned before dropping your bag and joining her in the mat.
Nat didn’t show it but she was glad you decided to stay. In the few minutes that you were talking, Nat found herself wanting to get to know you better. She did her own research on you because she thought you’re just another billionaire, philanthropist, playgirl but you proved yourself different. You’re modest and don’t brag about your lifestyle. In the weeks that she has observed you, Nat found that you’re also infinitely funnier than Tony.
***
Time flew by the moment Nat started throwing punches, as well as directions on how to fight better. One cat scratch on your eyebrow and a busted lip later, people started pouring in the training room for their morning exercise including Steve and Clint.
“Get those injuries cleaned and checked out at the infirmary,” Nat said before hopping off the mat and passing both boys on her way out. You didn’t see it but Nat narrowed her eyes at them, which made both of them chuckle before turning to you. Clint came over to you first, introducing himself formally.
“You got a death wish or something?” Clint asked lightly, his eyes alight with mischief.
You cocked your head to the side, not understanding the line of questioning.
“No one asks Natasha to spar or train, ever. She’s the learn-from-your-failure kind of teacher,” Clint continued chuckling.
You shouldered your bag. “I didn’t ask her to train. She did,” you said before smiling and walking back to your room to shower.
Clint blinked once, twice before he caught Steve’s eyes who clearly heard what you said. They both started grinning at each other, the same thought running in their head.
***
It’s like the world tilted off its axis ever since Nat found you in the training room. Since then you’ve been seeing her more like she stopped actively avoiding you. While you made strides befriending Steve, Clint, and Bruce; Natasha still needed a little work but that was okay. You were willing to wait until she’s ready.
It was enough that she works out with you every morning when she’s not out on a mission. It was enough that she trains you to become a stronger, faster, better agent than you already were. Coupled with your smart weapons inventions and deadly fighting skills, Fury even lets you officially join Agent Hill’s tactical team.
Nat was secretly so proud yet madly worried when you go on missions without the Avengers because she likes having your back and vice versa. You make a deadly efficient team; dare she say better than she is with Clint. She tries not to dwell so much on what it means, or what it means when her heart race when you get injured in battle, or what it means when her breath caught in her throat when you smile at her but Clint won’t let her. Clint takes it upon himself to bug Natasha, in private, to inspect these feelings.
“If you ask me, I think you may have a crush,” he said one time after you all got back from a joint mission in Sokovia. Fresh off the shower, and lounging on Nat’s bed Clint waited for her to finish drying her hair.
Even over the sound of the dryer on her hand, Nat heard him. Her heart skipped a beat at the thought and begrudgingly, she knows that her best friend was right. After all, he was one of the few people who know her best but he doesn’t need to know that, did he?
“Thankfully, I’m not asking you,” she said after exiting the bathroom and flopping down beside Clint.
Clint laughed hard and rolled onto his back. Seeing this side of Natasha makes him happy.
***
Steve figured it out next. Thankfully, he isn’t as nosy as Clint but it still annoys Nat when she sees him smiling every time he sees her talking to you.
Bruce found out after Clint not-so-subtly elbowed her when you entered the compound in crisps red three-piece suit and whispering business with Tony. You two were so engrossed with looking at your tablets, you both didn’t notice the rest of the team watching. You only noticed them on your way out. So you waved goodbye, Nat may or may not have stared at your ass as you exit the room.
“Close your mouth, Natalia. It’s very unbecoming,” Tony whispered on Nat’s ear. Nat groaned before averting her eyes and turning around to face Tony’s very smug face.
At that moment, she knew she was doomed but she’s not gonna fold to Tony Stark; no matter what.
“Not a word, Stark,” she warned.
“What? I haven’t said anything yet,” Tony defended.
“I know what you’re thinking.”
“What? I think you like my sister?” Tony challenged playfully. Nat only glared at him before opening the magazine she stopped reading the moment you walked in looking like a dream.
“I mean, how can I blame you? She’s perfection. She’s smart without being annoying like me, she’s beautiful, funny and above all, loyal.” Tony said solemnly
Nat glanced up at him. At least, they can agree on some things.
“I…” Nat started. Tony held her eye, definitely waiting for her to lie and deny his accusation. “I do but keep your mouth shut or I’ll cut your tongue.”
Tony smiled amidst the definitely real threat as he sees the genuine fondness that’s usually absent in the cool, collected Black Widow’s eyes. He resolved to keep his mouth shut, for the moment, at least.
***
Nat was so sure one of the boys would rather out the moment they get you alone but a few weeks after the confrontation with Tony, Nat can see no change in your behavior whatsoever to indicate that someone squeaked. She’s secretly grateful because the last thing she wants is for your budding friendship to turn awkward just because of a schoolgirl crush.
‘It’s just a crush’ has become Natasha’s personal mantra that she recites in her head every time you so much as smile at her while passing the corridor. And while Nat resolved to do absolutely nothing about her feelings, the universe seems to have a different plan. The following weeks, the universe launched into a series of events that helped Nat ease into accepting that she has indeed fallen in love with you
First, Fury sent you and Tony on a tandem mission in an undisclosed location, which launches Nat into a full-blown panic.
“Agent Romanoff,” Fury said first.
Nat didn’t back down on her demand to send Steve or her or anyone as back up. Fury watched his other sort of adoptive daughter quietly and carefully. Nat tried not to squirm under the scrutinizing gaze of the only father figure she has in her life. Fury smiled eerily when he caught up. Maria tried not to chuckle but failed.
“Agent Y/L/N is more than capable of completing a simple mission,” Fury finished before turning on his heel and walking away. Before he leaves, he looked back at Natasha. “Stand down Agent Romanoff, that’s an order.”
Nat huffed and kicked her boot down on the concrete floor. Steve, Clint, and Maria exchanged worried yet amused looks across each other. “Sit down,” Steve gently dragged her over one of the chairs in the command center.
“She’ll be fine. Y/N is not only a good fighter but she’s also a genius,” Clint tried to assure Nat but nothing can make her sit still.
She worries about you, she worries that Tony will be too distracted to watch your back properly and she wouldn’t be there to protect you. Nat tried to reason to herself that the burning need to protect you is because you’re a part of their team, and she protects her team.
***
A few hours passed and Nat couldn’t stay and do nothing. She stood up and walked towards the same exit Fury went through. Steve caught her arm. “Where are you going?”
Nat pulled her arm back, “I can’t stay here Steve! I will find her and make sure she comes home to me.”
Everyone smartly decided not to comment on that one. They all understand that having romantic feelings for someone is really foreign for Natasha. It’ll be suicide to push her.
“Fury gave you an order,” Steve, ever diplomatic, said.
“Fuck what Nick said,” Nat nearly yelled before taking a few stomping steps back.
Back away from the door and completely caught up in her worry and fighting with Steve, Nat didn’t see you and Tony step inside the room.
“Woah! Language,” Tony said then smiled at everyone before walking directly to where Fury keeps his precious Scotch.
“Miss me, Agent Romanoff?” you asked cheekily.
Nat felt all the stress of the past few hours leave her body the moment the sound of your voice entered her ears and registered in her brain. She turned to look at you, and you greeted her with a warm smile. You were surprised when Nat stormed towards you, looking royally pissed. You were prepared for a slap in your arm for whatever it is she’s pissed at you for but it didn’t come. She immediately pulled you into a hug before she can talk herself out of it.
This isn’t the first time Nat touched you. Ever since you’ve started training together, Nat seems to always find a reason to touch you. May it be holding your hand a little longer after helping you up from the mat or laying her head against your shoulder as you both try to get your breathing back after some intense sparring session or touching the ends of your hair whenever you’re sitting close together on movie nights. All these touches though are done in relative privacy; not like this, not where the Avengers and half of S.H.I.E.L.D are there to watch.
You smiled before wrapping your arms around her strong frame. If you were being honest, the mission was easy but you’re bone-tired after that ambush at the end of your mission. Clint cleared his throat, and Nat pulled away slightly but only to assess your physical well-being. She frowned when she noted your dirty suit, the small cut on your eyebrow, and your busted lip.
“I’m okay,” you whispered without breaking eye contact.
She didn’t answer, she just runs the pad of her thumb across your busted lip before kissing you.
***
“What?” Asya yelled, interrupting your story. The two of you are lying on your back inside her makeshift fort. “She kissed you first?”
“Yes. She did,” you answered. She looked so surprised for a second before she broke into a laughing fit.
“I guess, legends are just that; legends,” Asya said merrily after getting a hold of her sanity back.
You gasped. “Hey! Have you seen your mama?” you asked in mock offense.
Asya smiled at the dreamy look on your face. She secretly loves how much you love Natasha, even after all the time you’ve been together, and apart. It was impressive.
“She’s as breathtaking as the day I met her,” you said softly. “How would I know someone like her can like someone like me?”
Asya rolled to her side and lay her head on your chest. “You’re an idiot, mom.”
“Already? I thought I was just getting to that part,” you said before kissing her forehead.
***
You still haven’t figured out if it’s lucky that Fury officially made you an Avenger after that tandem mission with Tony a week prior or a curse because now, you have to move in on the compound with the rest of the team and deal with the boys’ teasing and being around Nat more often. Speaking of Nat, you hadn’t seen her for a week after she kissed you in the command center where everyone - literally everyone - saw. Maria said Nat asked Fury to send her on a mission.
‘So, she’s avoiding me,’ you thought.
An ache blooms in your chest when you think of Nat regretting that kiss but the time you spent training with Nat every morning taught you that she’s not good with feelings. Her history, her past, taught her that love is for children. She didn’t become the legendary Black Widow by being soft and loving, she became the Black Widow by being deadly. So you resolved not to push her, as well as not push your feelings towards her. She will come around if she wants to.
***
You and Nat saw each other exactly thirteen days after the kissing incident. You weren’t planning on counting but you did because you missed being in her company. It just so happened that you’re both busy people; she’s out there saving the world most of the time and you? Well, you’re juggling being an Avenger, a S.H.I.E.L.D lab rat, and a member of the board for Stark Industries. So you don’t exactly have a lot of time either. It took thirteen days before the universe, Fury and your schedules permitted you both to be in the same room for more than just two minutes.
It was midnight, you were walking the halls of the Avengers compound to your room when you heard groaning and sobbing inside Natasha’s room. Panicked that someone was able to slip inside everyone’s defenses and attack Nat, you opened the door and went inside her room with your gun in your hand. When you step in, Nat’s seating up on her bed alone. You checked her surroundings first. When you were positive you two are alone, you holstered your gun and called out for her.
“Tasha,” you whispered softly as not to startle her but she didn’t make a move to acknowledge you.
You walked in front of her. Only then did she blinked and looked at you. It must be a nightmare, you though; based on the beads of sweat on her forehead, the sheets balled up on her fist, quick breathing and unfocused eyes.
“Y/N?” she asked as softly.
“It’s okay. You’re okay, you’re safe,” you tried to assure her but she only started shivering at your words. You sat beside her and pulled her in a hug. You continued to rock her gently and whisper words of assurance until her breathing slows and her heart rate came back to normal.
When Nat pulled back, you stood up to let her get back to sleep but she held on the hem of your suit like a little girl. You look at the fingers holding you in place and then back to her face a couple of times before she said something. “Can you sleep here with me?”
It took you a couple of seconds to figure that Nat wasn’t joking. You smiled before motioning her to lie down. She watched you peel away the layers of your suit. Had it been a different setting, you would have died from the intensity of the way she looks at you. Stripped down to your polo shirt and trousers, you started to climb her bed, only for a soft fabric to meet your face.
“Lose the pants and change into that. It’s more comfortable,” she explained.
“You buy your own Black Widow merch?” you teased her as you change the shirt she gave you.
Nat groaned playfully, averting your eyes as you start to undress in front of her shamelessly. “Yeah, a drawer full of it. I can’t resist quality,” she said casually.
“Well, you’re right. This shirt is really comfortable,” you answered after plopping down next to her.
“Told you,” she said before rolling on her side and scooting over until her back touches your front.
You’ve cuddled some in your lifetime, you can take the hint. You figured that taking hints is especially crucial to any kind of relationship with Natasha. So you learned how to read her earlier on, or at least try.
Safe and secured in your arms, Nat couldn’t help but sigh blissfully at the warmth emanating from your body, the feel of your arms around her torso, your chin on her shoulder, and your breathing against her ear.
“Thank you,” Nat half whispered half moaned.
Feeling emboldened, you kissed her shoulder. Thankfully Nat didn’t freeze at the contact. “From here onwards, know that you have me; always.”
Nat sighed. “It’s the red room,” she said simply. Something about the moment made it easy for Nat to open up.
Unconsciously, you tightened your hold against her. You’ve heard third-person accounts of the red room but never from the source. “Do you wanna talk about it?”
“I do,” Nat sighed out before turning in your arms and resting her head against your chest. She sighed once again before launching in the story of the red room. The sky outside her window was starting to turn purple when Nat finished telling her story and drifted off to peaceful slumber in your arms.
***
You noticed that after the nightmare fiasco, Nat is a little easier to approach than usual. She’s even more open to hanging out with you since then, which you didn’t mind because you love spending any time with her. May it be going on coffee dates (as Nat loves calling it) or training like a madwoman in the gym or sneaking out of the compound in the middle of the night to drive and get a midnight snack.
You absolutely love spending time together and getting to know each other in the process. You tried your hardest to slow down your descent to imminent heartbreak but you knew at that point that it was useless. You knew that even though you’ll only get heartbroken because Nat couldn’t possibly like a nerd like you, you’ll do it over again. Over and over and over again, if it meant you’ll always be by her side.
Unbeknownst to you, Nat had the same internal struggle about how someone like you can’t like a killer like her. She didn’t try to shove down her feelings they way she always does though. She tried but it was too late; her feelings for you sneaked up at her like an assassin. Of course, she knew she was attracted to you when she kissed you a couple of weeks ago but it was only after the nightmare incident that she allowed herself to want you for more than just carnal reasons.
You started to become a steady presence in her life, more than just a teammate. While kissing you in front of the whole team and S.H.I.E.L.D was a grand spur of the moment decision, one that she doesn’t regret, she lives for the little moments as well. She loves the way you seem to remember small details like how she takes her coffee, or the way you subtly take care of her by always cleaning her weapons too before going on missions, or the way you always pack a spare jacket just in case you finds yourselves on the eye of climate change. She loves the way you easily make her feel safe and calm. She loves the way you weren’t shy to deviate from the headstrong, broody character everyone knows you are and make a fool out of yourself just to make her laugh.
***
The only problem was, you both suck at talking about your feelings, let alone admitting them. You had the same but lowkey reputation with women like Tony, and she’s the Black Widow; Miss love-is-for-children. Everyone tried to help both of you confess; Tony and Maria tried to help you tell Natasha your feelings while Steve and Clint tried to help Nat ask you out but the world seems to have a crisis every time one or both of you decides to make a move.
“Maybe the universe is trying to tell me something,” Nat sighed as she walks to the quinjet after being called for a mission with Steve and Clint.
“I never pegged you to believe in signs from the universe,” Clint teased lightly.
Steve narrowed his eyes but Clint was never scared of Nat’s wrath. Besides, Nat was too distracted to be offended.
“Let’s just finish this shit as fast as we can,” Nat replied offhandedly while buckling herself in.
“We haven’t even left yet,” Steve said. Lips tugging upwards subtly. He likes seeing this side of Nat.
“I know, and I miss her already.”
***
“Wow,” Asya burst out; interrupting your story, again. “You two are,” she paused to search for the right word in her vocabulary.
Saps! Venom supplied.
Asya giggled. “Correct! You two are saps!”
You don’t know the half of it, child, Venom complained. It’s disgusting.
You laughed so hard, the walls of your makeshift fort shook.
***
The team tried to finish their assignment as fast as they could but it still took them five days. Five days with no communication with you made Nat almost jumped out of the quinjet the moment its tires hit solid ground. Clint and Steve just chuckled as they watch Nat power walk towards the compound. When they caught up with her, Nat’s frowning so hard on her phone.
“What’s wrong?” Steve asked tentatively.
“Y/N’s not home,” Nat replied, clearly disappointed.
Before anyone can say anything Nat’s phone alerted her of a new message. Nat’s frown only deepened.
“I’m gonna guess. Not Y/N?” Clint asked teasingly.
Nat locked her phone before putting it on her back pocket. “No, it’s Maria. She said they’re at Stark Stadium. They need us to fill the Starks team.”
A couple of S.H.I.E.L.D agents passed by. “Let’s check it out. Agent Johnson said, Agent Y/L/N’s team is hot,” one agent said, not realizing that the three Avengers were on the other side of the room.
“What do you expect? Agent Y/L/N is hot,” another answered. The other two laughed.
Nat gritted her teeth before clearing her throat to announce her presence. The agents turned around so fast, the boys wondered if they had whiplash.
“Don’t you have better things to do, agents?” Nat said sternly.
The three agents gulped, nodded and scuttled away like ants on fire. Natasha watched them until they disappeared in the corner.
“Calm down, Nat. I’m sure they’re not that hot,” Clint tried to assure her as he stirs her to the direction of the garage.
***
Clint gulped when she saw who you were teammates with.
“Not hot, huh?” Nat said eerily calm as she watches you with your team.
Out of your S.H.I.E.L.D uniform, and in your black and red number 13 jersey you looked so much younger, more carefree. Nat smiled internally. She realized that as much as leather-clad Y/N is hot, she much prefers you on casual clothing because you look happier.
“How am I supposed to know Y/N’s friends with a lot of stunners?” Clint defended with a pout.
He knows there’s a flaw in his defense. Of course, you’ll be friends with a lot of beautiful people; you’re basically brothers with Tony Stark. You’re smart, funny, and beautiful too. Naturally, people gravitate toward you.
Nat put her hand up to silence Clint. Clint and Steve followed her gaze back towards the field where a certain blonde, wearing the same black and red uniform jogged towards you and tackled you in a hug. Nat watched as said blonde didn’t let go, and worst of all casually planted a soft kiss against the side of your face; dangerously close to your mouth.
“That’s Sara Lance, heiress to Lance Corp in Star City. Y/N’s last real ex-girlfriend,” Maria suddenly spoke beside her. “Also, I’m sure you’d like to know, she declared she came here to win Y/N back.”
Nat balled her fist before walking towards Tony’s side of the pit.
***
“Give me a uniform,” Nat demanded.
Tony laughed so hard, you heard it from across the field.
“I had a feeling you’ll want to be on my team,” he said before handing Nat a shirt with your last name on it.
Nat quirked an eyebrow.
“How am I supposed to know you’re coming back in time for the game? This is Y/N’s new uniform but she insisted on wearing her old one. So you can have this one,” Tony explained.
Steve face-palmed at the sheer dumb excuse but also the ingenuity of it. Stark has a parent-trapping game, Steve can give him that.
***
The game was supposed to be a ‘friendly’ match between the two tech giants but for some reason that escaped you, it was intense from the start. Sara refused to be subbed by Maria and played head to head against Natasha, which you definitely didn’t know played soccer.
“I didn’t know you play,” you panted out as you run the ball towards the goal with Nat running close beside you.
“You don’t know a lot of things about me,” Nat said as she tries to run and tackle you.
You scrunch your brow together but didn’t stop running. Before Nat can make try to take you down again, Sara came barrelling towards her; allowing you to run freely to your goal.
Score for Lance Corp! Amaya, Zari and Gideon crowded towards you. So you were unable to see Nat and Sara glaring at each other as they dust their uniforms off.
“So, you’re the Natasha Y/N can’t stop talking about,” Sara said candidly. “I’m Sara Lance, Y/N’s girlfriend.”
“Ex-girlfriend,” Natasha said deathly calm but Sara was never known to be easily scared.
Sara smirked. “Maybe but not for long,” she said confidently before running away to join your little group hug.
Nat frowned deeper as she watches Sara pull your body against her lit form and you seemingly unperturbed about it.
“Take her word seriously,” Tony said suddenly from behind Natasha. “If Lance is here to take Y/N back, she will do it. She’s smart and tenacious. So, play your cards right.”
“Play your cards right? That’s your advice?” Steve questioned incredulously. “I think you should just ask her out after the game.”
“Trust me, Y/N can’t be wooed by flowers, chocolates, and fancy dinner. People tried,” Tony said after rolling his eyes.
Maria sighed, which prompted everyone to look at her. “Got unsolicited advice for me, Hill?” Nat asked teasingly.
“Stop running away,” Maria said as she stood and get ready to get back on the field. “You kissed her and then disappeared for a week. You made her feel like you didn’t want her.”
The three gaped and watched the elusive Deputy Director as she runs back to the field and high-five you. Steve patted Nat’s shoulder before jogging back in too.
“I guess Hill trumps all our advice. Now come on, we have asses to kick,” Tony relented.
***
The game ended with Stark Industries winning, Nat wanted to gloat but none of the Lance Corp women seem to mind losing at all.
“Congratulations,” you whispered behind Nat. Nat tried to suppress the shiver but it was too late, she knew you saw it by the smirk on your face. She smiled at you.
“Thanks. This would have been more fun if you played in our team,” Nat said crossing her arms in front of her chest.
You shook your head. “You don’t mean that. I know you like that you bested me,” you said smiling.
Nat glanced at you before grinning. “You’re right. I did,” she admitted.
Your heart seemed to flutter every time Nat smiles at you like that. You wanted to say something, you wanted to pour your heart out to her at that moment but Sara yelled for you. Nat sighed heavily, and you gave her a sheepish smile. Sara yelled your name again, now louder and closer. Before you turned around you, Nat reached out and held your hand.
“Lance, stop yelling. I heard you the first time,” you said casually.
Sara ignored you and zeroed in on your joined hand. You tried not to squirm as the two sized up each other. Suddenly the room felt too quiet.
“Did you need anything urgent, Lance?” Nat snapped.
Sara peeled her eyes off your hands in Natasha and smiled sweetly. “Care to show this girl a good time?”
Nat rolled her eyes as Sara blatantly ignores her and flirts with you. You wanted to say that the city only became fun when you met Natasha. You wanted to tell Sara that fun isn’t about drinking yourself to stupor anymore, or getting high on your boat while you two cross the Atlantic. Instead, fun is making breakfast together with Natasha, training and kicking each other’s butt in the gym, sneaking out in the middle of the day to get a massage with Natasha, napping and cuddling Natasha, going on coffee dates with Natasha.
You wanted to say all that but your friends from Lance Corp came all the way from Star City to spend time with you and Tony. The least you both can do was show them a good time. You caught Tony’s eyes behind Sara, he smiled at you. The kind of smile that says, ‘I got a plan’. Sara caught the interaction and she knew they’re in for a long night.
“Get ready to party, Lance,” you said grinning.
***
The Avengers are not new to Stark parties. What they - especially Natasha - wasn’t ready for was you on party mode wearing the skinniest leather pants, tight black backless halter top, and boots. You arrived fashionably late with Maria.
“Mission accomplishes, agent,” Maria whispered as she watches Nat and Sara practically drooling the moment they laid eyes on you. You ducked your head to hide the faint blush creeping up to your neck and cheeks. Dressing up was Maria’s idea.
Nat was about to stand and walk towards you but Sara beat her to it.
“Patience, little spider,” Tony sat crossed leg beside Nat the moment Maria joined their table without you.
Nat turned to look for you and she nearly crushed the glass on her hand when she saw you dancing with Sara. It doesn’t help that Sara’s not only standing way too close but she also has her hand secured against your hips. Sara caught Nat’s eyes from across the dimly lit ballroom. It almost took every ounce of her self control not to go there and claim you but she didn’t want to give her the satisfaction.
Nat breathed in deep before taking a swig of her drink. Tony’s right, she has to be patient. Unfortunately for Nat, Sara was planned to monopolize you all night. Two hours after you arrived but Nat still hasn’t had the chance to at least talk to you. She had to step out.
***
When Nat opened the door to the back of the club, she was surprised to see you leaning casually on the adjacent wall; a bottle of water in hand.
“Took you long enough,” you chirped before opening the bottled water in your hand.
Nat scrunched her eyebrows. “What? How?” she stuttered out.
You smirked at her over the rim of the water bottle. “You’re not the only stealthy one, Tasha,” you said an octave lower than your speaking voice.
Nat bristled, “I thought you were with Sara?” She didn’t even try to hide the edge and tightness in her voice.
“I was then I missed you,” you said earnestly before walking towards her.
You left two feet between you. She didn’t say something for a minute, she just continued to frown at you.
You studied her for a minute before you decided that Nat’s really not in a bad mood. “Aw, are you jealous?”, you teased lightly.
Nat frowned deeper. The blatant ‘no’ is at the tip of her tongue but she didn’t want to lie, not to you; never to you. She held your eye before whispering a breathy, “yes.”
You stood toe-to-toe with her. You cupped her face on both of your hands. Nat held her breathe. “There’s nothing to be jealous about, Tasha.”
Nat couldn’t help it any longer. She pulled you by your hands on her face and wrapped you in a hug. You chuckled before wrapping your arms around her steady shoulders.
“I love you, Y/N,” Nat blurted out.
She expected you to freeze at the mention of the words. After all, you’re both allergic to love but it didn’t come. You stayed relaxed in her arms, and she can feel you smiling over her shoulder. She pulled back a little to look at you.
“I love you too, Tasha,” you said before planting a soft kiss on her cute nose. Nat chuckled, had it been anyone else, she will be annoyed but can’t with you. “Now, let’s go eat. I’m hungry from all that dancing.”
Nat watched you walk out of the alley and into the street for a minute before jogging up to you. “Wait, does this mean you’re my girlfriend now?” you heard her call after you.
“Hurry up or this will be the shortest relationship ever,” you joked.
Nat mocked gasped after catching up to you, just in time for a cab to sidled next to both of you. You were about to reach for the cab door when Nat pulled you back and pulled you in for another bruising kiss.
The cab driver rolled his eyes playfully but waited for both of you nonetheless.
‘Ah! Love’, he thought to himself and smiled.
The kissed lasted for a minute. Only breaking away from each other after the need for air persisted. You peered at Nat’s eyes lovingly. At that moment, on the side of the street with a very patient cab waiting for you, you decided Natasha will be the last woman you’ll ever be with. You’ll make sure of it.
***
Asya let out a soft ‘aww’ and nothing else. You listened to the steady rhythm of her breathing and you knew she has fallen asleep. You smiled down at your little miracle, and just before you could close your eyes your mobile phone vibrated next to you.
Wife: I hope you’re not feeding our daughter junk food. Much. I love you, see you tomorrow.
You: I did not. Much. I miss you, I love you. See you tomorrow. xx

Chapter II - She Looks Like Fun
She’d picked out a darker dress with a wavy skirt. Something comfortable, yet still classy. She could almost imagine her mother squealing with joy, because up until a few months ago she would’ve never worn anything like this.
Her mother used to reprimand her for it, because she’d always said that her legs were far too nice to be covered up by trousers or any of the sort. And if she was being honest, her legs did look rather nice. She’d actually shaved, while it was still the cold season. A season where shaving legs was not necessary. She felt a sense of pride. It quickly simmered down.
She hated the fact she couldn’t tell her mother these things anymore. She supposed that wearing skirts and dresses was her own way of dealing with things. Trying to rid of the guilt of having been gone for so long to find work in all sorts of places. Not calling enough. Skipping holidays and family meetings. She was grieving, and though there was probably some psychological explanation for everything she was doing, she really didn’t care enough to find out.
She was still adorned with her grandmother’s watch, possibly the most valuable family heirloom in her possession. Perhaps not so much in price, because the gold needed a good polish and there were enough scratches and dents to tell a tale of a lifetime or two, but it sure meant a lot to her emotionally. It was the only thing she had left of her mother. And any time she felt a wave of anxiety or couldn’t catch a night’s sleep, she listened to the soft ticking of the seconds hand. It reminded her of where she was, what she was doing, and that everything would be fine. As she now didn’t feel the anxiety anymore of dining all by herself. Because in a way, her mother was with her.
While exiting the room, she didn’t stop to think about the sinister half-opened door at the end of the hallway and quickly made her way downstairs. It was a bit before seven o’clock.
The dining room was really something else. It was a grand open space adorned with golden chandeliers and tables with pristine white napkins on shining plates. It was a symmetrically satisfying sight to behold, and she felt out of place to take a seat on any of the luxurious furniture. She wondered if they were actually expecting a grand feast soon or simply out of their minds. She presumed it was the latter.
When Nick thought enough time had passed for her to take in the spectacular view, he cleared his throat. It made her jump and though it amused him greatly, he quickly apologized. “I’m very sorry ma’am, but I’m afraid all the tables are reserved for our other guests.”
She grinned at him. “Ah, I see. That’s very unfortunate. I suppose I’ll just sit on the floor, then.” When she moved to swat some imaginary dirt away from the varnished wooden surface and was about to sink through her knees, Nick hurriedly stopped her. “Actually, I just got a message through that a reservation has been cancelled. No need to sit on the floor. Now, if you’ll follow me, miss,” he politely sputtered. She could see the relief washing over him when she stood again, and she only now figured it probably would have been a sight to see a guest sitting on the floor because a waiter had jokingly told them all the tables were reserved.
“What a shame they had to cancel their reservation, this table has such a good view,” she told Nick, as he held a chair out for her. He’d seated her beside the central window, overlooking the great view of the well-kept gardens. She spotted Matthew in front of a big fountain, who was struggling to control a rearing horse and she swore she heard Nick sigh and mutter “idiot” under his breath. She decided not to comment on it.
A figure appearing beside Nick made her turn back. “I think I’ll take it from here,” he said, offering a smile to Nick and then to her. Nick nodded, his eyes not leaving the unruly horse. “If you need me, I’ll be right outside,” he muttered, before taking off.
“It’s nice to finally meet you, miss. My name is Jamie, and I’ll be your chef for the time you’ll be staying with us,” he told her. He was adorned in a black kitchen uniform, not a crease or spot to be seen, with a leather apron tied around his waist. His hair was slicked back, in a similar fashion to Matt’s, styled to the sides and back from where his hair parted. He had a kind twinkle in his eyes yet seemed a bit on the awkward side judging from the way he fumbled his hands a bit much. “It’s nice to meet you too, Jamie,” she replied kindly, “I was wondering what the menu is like for today? I fully understand if it’s a limited one, seeing as I’m presumably the only one staying for dinner tonight.”
Jamie’s eyes widened, almost as if he remembered what he was supposed to be doing. He quickly sprinted off and was back in almost the blink of an eye, in his hands a neat menu card. “My apologies. I’m not used to serving people,” he explained, “I used to only be at work in the kitchens and send my own servers out with plates, but since we had to make quite a few cuts…”
She had been intently and quietly listening as to not snap him out of his ramble out of her own pure curiosity to know more about the hotel, but unfortunately, he caught wind of what he was saying out loud and paused mid-sentence. “Anyways,” he cleared his throat, “I can make you anything you’d like. Even if it’s not on the menu.”
“Oh, I wouldn’t want to bother you with that,” she told him, “I’ll see what the menu has to offer.” “Miss, you could never be a bother,” he replied, a slight blush dusting his cheeks. Her lips quirked up.
“Alright, how outrageous would it be if I asked you to make me a cheeseburger?” He laughed, “That would probably be the least outrageous request I’ve ever gotten from a guest, miss. I’d be happy to.”
As he was about to turn, she continued, “Have you had dinner yet, Jamie?” He furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. “No, miss. I usually eat after all the guests are done along with the other staff.”
“Will you and the rest of the staff join me, then?” She wondered. “I don’t think that’d be very appropriate, miss,” he replied shyly. “I insist. I feel like an idiot eating dinner all by myself in this huge room. Please?” She added and tried her best to look as miserable as possible. Jamie looked inflicted, his eyes darting to the entrance of the dining room for a moment as if he was checking to see if no one had heard him when he agreed.
It didn’t take that long for Matt and Nick to show up and take a seat at the table, and though they looked as if the horse had given them more trouble, their frowns quickly turned upside down when they heard Jamie was making cheeseburgers. “I’m starting to like you more and more by the minute,” Matt told the smiling woman. “Thank god, I wouldn’t want you to spend dinner while thinking of me as bad company,” she replied. “Like I already told you, miss,” Jamie said as he set plates of cheeseburgers and chips on the table, “You could never be a bother.”
Conversation was made considerably easy given the fact that she was talking to staff she had only just met, but she was glad they felt comfortable enough to let their guard down around her. “So, what do you do, if I may ask, miss?” Jamie asked. “Enough with the ‘miss’, Jamie. You can call me by my name,” she answered, “and I’m a writer. At least, I try to be.” Nick, who was chowing down a burger, looked up in interest. “Really? Written anything I know?” Matt smacked him across the head. “Speak with your mouth empty, you’re talking to a lady here.”
She laughed, “That’s quite alright. I really haven’t published anything yet except for the article here and there, but I think I’ve recently stumbled across an idea for a book.” “That’s great!” Matt commented, “What’s it gunna be about?”
She hesitated a moment before answering. “I was hoping to write about the hotel, actually.”
They all froze in the spot. She’d expected this response when she’d formed the plan to invite them to dinner and was about to elaborate when she realized it wasn’t just what she’d said that was the cause for their sudden discomfort.
“What’s going on in here? Having a tea party, I see?” A deep voice grumbled from behind her.
Turning around, she was faced with the sharp features of none other than Alexander Turner.
When she had read about him in the papers, she’d always imagined a much older man who was going to retire soon now that his hotel was bankrupt, trying to save his last bit of pocket money. The person in front of her, was the complete opposite of what she’d expected. A young, lean man dressed in an expensive-looking blue three-piece suit was staring at her with striking chocolate brown eyes. His hair was slicked back and his face clean shaven, defining his jawline and cheekbones in an impeccable way. He was an intimidating figure to say the least, and it seemed as though everyone at the table, save for Matt, had shrunken into themselves a bit.
“Miss asked us to join her for dinner,” Matt responded coldly, his hard gaze unwavering. She had to admit that she admired his boldness in this moment. This was not the same Matt who had given her a ride and had been dining with her just now.
“Ah, of course,” mister Turner replied smoothly, “allow me to introduce myself, my name is Alex Turner. I’m the owner of this establishment.” His hand took hers. “It’s nice to finally meet you, miss.” And he kissed it courteously, making her skin tingle. “And you can call me Alexander.” His eyes shot up to lock with hers and she was completely entranced.
“Nice to meet you as well, Alexander,” she managed to reply, as he slowly dropped her hand. “I was just asking your staff more about the hotel. I’m rather interested in writing a piece about it.”
“Ah, a writer then,” he said as his sharp gaze flickered over said staff. “I hope they haven’t told you too much about the hotel. Wouldn’t want to share our best kept secrets, now would we?” The underline of his tone was threatening, and she was almost worried she’d gotten the guys into trouble, when Matt spoke up, “Oh, I wouldn’t worry too much about that, mister Turner. I’m sure those secrets will unravel themselves when the time comes.”
The silence that followed could’ve been cut with a knife as Alex’ eyes turned cold. “I’d like to have a word with you when you’re done, Matthew.” It was all he said before storming out.
Matt sighed. “I’ll best be going, then.” And quickly followed after him.
“What was that about?” she questioned. Nick shook his head, “They’re always this dramatic.”
In the small office behind the entrance desk, Matt leaned against the doorpost as Alex filed through some paperwork. “I don’t tolerate backtalk in front of our guests, Matthew. You know this,” he said, not bothering to look up from the unorganized mess of files.
“She’s our only guest, Alex. You should take it easy for a little while. You know, come and stay with us.”
Alex rolled his eyes at the remark.
“But really though, what did you think of her?” Matt continued.
Alex looked at him and Matt saw a familiar twinkle in his eyes, one he hadn’t seen for a long time. “She looks like fun,” he simply responded.

And @spooky-scary-lesbian thank you so much for requesting this and talking to me about it when I came to you with questions! I didn’t intend to make this three parts, but I started writing a flashback and it became this instead.
Part 2 Part 3
——
As you and Lydia approached the front door of the Maitland-Deetz residence, as you’d decided to call it, your heart started racing. You loved her family and they loved you. You were excited to spend Thanksgiving with all of them.
But today was the day you were going to tell Charles Deetz that you wanted to marry his daughter.
You and Lydia had been dating for almost three years, now, so you weren’t worried he would think it was too soon. You’d started dating not long after Christmas three years ago. Lydia had waited to introduce you to her dad and Delia until she felt really comfortable and confident that your relationship could last, and a little longer to introduce you to the family ghosts. But Charles and Delia had treated you like family since the day you met, and Barbara and Adam did the same. Beetlejuice had even taken a genuine liking to you.
You weren’t worried that Charles would hate the idea, either. You knew he liked you, and Lydia had told you he had even used the word “adore” when you were brought up in conversation. You were worried he wouldn’t like that you weren’t asking for his permission, though.
You hoped he would understand. Lydia loved him, and she valued his opinions on things, but you both felt that it was an out-of-date practice that treated women like property. Lydia had also told you that, back when she was 15 and they had first moved to Connecticut, he never talked to her about proposing to Delia before he did it. They’d worked through that since then. That was years ago, now. But you hoped it was at least a sign that Charles wasn’t a stickler for tradition when it came to proposals.
Everyone greeted both of you with smiles and hugs. Lydia visited very frequently, so she saw them all the time, and you went with her plenty. You found it endearing that everyone gave greetings as if they hadn’t seen you in over a year, anyway. They definitely knew how to make you feel like one of them.
Only a couple minutes after you arrived, Charles and Delia had engrossed Lydia in a conversation, so you took the opportunity to start making some plans.
“Barbara, Adam, can I ask you a favor?” you asked. You wanted to be as quiet as possible, but you wanted to avoid whispering, too. Whispering would seem more suspicious.
“Oh, of course you can,” Barbara said. “What is it?”
“We need to keep this very quiet, but I want to propose to Lydia.”
They did their best to keep their reactions calm enough to not draw attention, but you could see they were practically bursting.
“That’s wonderful!” Barbara said.
“Welcome to the family,” Adam said.
“Thank you,” you said with a quick laugh. “I want to talk to Charles about it. I was hoping to do it tonight, but we need to be alone to do that. Do you guys think you could distract Lydia after dinner?”
“Would it be easier to come over another time when she’s not here at all?” Barbara asked.
“She comes over so much, I’m afraid she’d end up showing up even if she hadn’t planned to.”
“We are on it, Y/N!” Adam said. “You can count on us.”
“Thank you so much. I really appreciate—”
“Hey, what’s happening over here?” Beetlejuice appeared and cut you off. “It sounds like scheming. I want in.”
The three of you looked at each other.
“He might actually be useful,” Barbara said.
You thought for a moment, then looked at him. “Okay. But you have to keep it a secret? Do you understand?”
He nodded like an excited little kid.
“I want to talk to Charles about proposing to Lydia, so I need her out of the room and distracted after dinner.”
Beetlejuice grinned. “I have enough material to keep her there until Christmas.”
“That’s not necessary, but I love the energy.” You looked at the three of them, so excited and so ready to help you. “Thank you. Seriously.”
Barbara gave you a warm smile and a gentle pat on the arm. “It’s our pleasure.”
The rest of the time up until dinner went about as you would expect. You appreciated that this was a group that had no interest in obligatory smalltalk. Conversations were real and deep and animated and weird, and you loved it.
The same was true during dinner.
Sitting at the table with all of them, you really did feel at home. They had welcomed you in with open arms from the moment they met you and never looked back. Really, you had done the same. Thinking about them all becoming your family, too, made your heart almost ache, it was such a nice thought.
After dinner, Delia requested that Lydia go upstairs with her and offered no further explanation. Charles didn’t seem surprised or confused, which kind of amused you. He was just used to that sort of thing. You didn’t say anything, and you tried not to make your glance too obvious, but Barbara, Adam, and Beetlejuice got the message and followed Delia and Lydia upstairs.
Your heart began to pound. This was your chance to talk to him. You wanted to take it — you’d specifically engineered the moment so you could take the chance. But you really didn’t want to mess it up or upset him. And you didn’t want to seem rude or careless by trying to talk to him before you’d bothered to help clean, so you started stacking plates.
You’d only been stacking for a second when Charles held his hand out to stop you.
“Oh, Y/N, you don’t have to start cleaning up right now. Everyone else will be able to help, too, when they come back, and then it will go much faster. Besides, I was hoping to talk to you.”
“You were?” You weren’t sure what he would want to talk to you about, but he seemed to be in good spirits. It was certainly convenient, too.
He walked over to the buffet table, opened a drawer, pulled out a nice box, then faced you again and gestured at your chair. You sat back down. He took a seat beside you and held the box so you could both see it clearly. He opened it slowly, revealing a beautiful locket. The way his gaze softened, it was clearly important to him.
“This locket belonged to Emily,” he said. “And it belonged to her mother before her. It’s been in the family for a few generations. Her father wanted to propose, but he didn’t have enough money for a ring at the time. His mother gave him this locket to use instead. Emily’s mother passed it on to her when we got engaged.”
You swore his eyes were shining as he talked about Emily.
“Emily always wanted Lydia to have it one day. The thing is, when we moved, we couldn’t find it. We thought it had gotten lost. I only found it last week, and I haven’t told Lydia.” He paused and looked into your eyes. “Because I wanted to give it to you.”
You had no idea how to respond to that. You watched silently as he placed the box in your hand.
“Now, I don’t mean to put on any pressure, and I’m not trying to tell you what to do. But I think it would mean even more to her coming from you. She doesn’t need my approval, or anyone’s approval, for that matter, and neither do you. That’s not what this is supposed to be. You seem serious about my daughter, and I know she’s serious about you. You feel like part of the family. It doesn’t have to represent marriage if the two of you aren’t thinking about that, yet. I just wanted you to have it. To do with however you please.”
You stared down at the locket sitting in its box. “Thank you,” you said, returning your gaze to Charles. “I can’t tell you how much this means to me.”
Charles reached out and placed his hand over your free one. “I can’t tell you how much this means to me. The love this locket represents… We wanted Lydia to have it no matter what, but we always hoped she would find...that sort of love. To think she’s found it with you, I—” His voice broke and his eyes began to fill with tears. “I’m really happy. For both of you. And I’m glad it’s you.”
Then he removed his hand from yours and leaned back, catching you by surprise. You felt yourself sit up straighter, not sure what had just happened. You watched him carefully for a moment. He wiped at his eyes.
“I’m sorry,” he said. “I really don’t mean to pressure you.”
“No, you’re not,” you said. “I actually wanted to talk to you tonight, too. About that. About Lydia, I mean. And me.”
Charles’s eyes found yours again and his mouth fell open just slightly. “About you and—” He cut himself off, breathed out, then simply smiled at you. “Please. By all means. Continue.”
His smile brought you comfort and you felt your heart actually begin to slow down. You were sure of this. You were sure of you and Lydia. And so was Charles. “I am serious about your daughter. I love her. So much. She’s become like my whole world.”
Charles smiled again at that. It was a fond smile with a hint of...familiarity? Though you weren’t sure why.
“I want to ask her to marry me.”
You couldn’t quite read the expression on Charles’s face, but it definitely wasn’t bad. If anything, he looked like he might cry again.
“I don’t want to ask for your permission,” you continued, doing your best to sound gentle and genuine, rather than factual. “Like you said, she doesn’t need anyone’s approval, and neither do I. But I would really like your opinion.”
“My opinion?”
“And support. Hopefully.”
“Well.” He leaned forward, resting his elbow on his knee. “You have it. And so much more.”
You broke into a smile.
“It would be an honor to officially welcome you into our family. You’re really already a part of it.” His gaze shifted to the locket. “Emily would’ve loved you. She would want it to be you. And it’s not up to me, but if it were, I’d choose you for my daughter in a heartbeat.”
You stood, and so did Charles. You came together in a tight embrace. There were no words that could express how touched you were. You hoped your hug relayed everything you couldn’t say.
When you separated, Charles said, “I should go find a way to tell Delia she can stop distracting Lydia, now.”
“Wait, what?” you asked immediately, gripping onto his sleeve before he could walk away.
“I asked Delia if she would keep Lydia occupied long enough for me to talk to you.”
You pressed your lips together for a moment, then said, “I asked Barbara and Adam to distract her so I could talk to you. And they enlisted Beej.”
Without another word, you set the box on the table and the two of you took off running up the stairs to Lydia’s room. When you reached her door, you were surprised to hear complete and utter silence.
You exchanged glances, then Charles opened the door.
Lydia, Delia, Barbara, and Adam were sitting on the floor with their legs crossed and their eyes shut, holding hands. Beetlejuice was floating above them in the middle of the circle, also with his legs crossed, but his eyes were open, and he was juggling what appeared to be a few of Delia’s crystals. You figured it was a safe bet that she didn’t know he was doing that.
Lydia opened one eye, then the other when she saw you. She smiled.
“What are you doing?” Charles asked.
Without opening her eyes, Delia answered, “It’s a new meditation I learned. I thought it would be good to try after such a large meal. It helps with digestion.”
“Or lets the tryptophan settle in,” Lydia said.
You stifled a laugh. That made her smile wider.
“And I’m the necessary distraction to prove their dedication to the meditation,” Beetlejuice said. “Hey, that rhymed!”
Lydia’s shoulders shook with swallowed laughter, then she closed her eyes again.
As if she could sense Lydia closing her eyes, Delia opened hers. “We’ll be down in a minute,” she said, and winked at Charles.
“We’ll...be downstairs, then,” Charles said.
The two of you backed out of the room, hardly able to take your eyes off the peculiar sight. He shut the door behind you. You didn’t speak until you made it back down to the living room.
“She’s…” you started, but you couldn’t find the words to match your thoughts.
Charles shook his head once with conviction. “I love that woman.” Then he picked up the stack of plates you’d started earlier and made his way into the kitchen.
You began to follow him with more dishes, but you stopped when you realized the locket was still on the table. Charles returned for more plates, took one look at you, and his eyes lit up.
“I know exactly how to send that home with you without Lydia suspecting a thing.” He picked it up and carried it into the kitchen. You weren’t sure what he had done with it, but you trusted him.
“Y/N,” Charles said softly. “While we still have a second, if you don’t mind my asking, do you have an idea of when you’re going to do it?”
You nodded slightly. “I was thinking maybe Christmas? I thought she might like being around all of you to be able to celebrate with you. I mean, assuming she says yes. Not that we haven’t talked about it before, but—”
“She’s going to say yes,” Charles said with a smile.
The sound of footsteps on the stairs prompted you to get back to cleaning.
With seven of you working, the clean-up went quickly and easily. You loved the way everyone could laugh and have fun even when doing something as simple and tedious as cleaning up after Thanksgiving dinner.
You spent another couple of hours watching TV and playing games. You always found Lydia’s competitive streak kind of adorable, and watching her enjoy playing games with her family even though you knew she thought it was a little silly melted your heart.
When it was time for you and Lydia to go, everyone gave another round of hugs. As you put on your coats, Delia made a beeline for the kitchen, then ran back out with two bags. She handed one to each of you.
“You can’t have Thanksgiving dinner with this family and not take home leftovers,” she said.
Lydia thanked her and inspected her bag just long enough for Delia to give you a pointed look. You checked your bag, and sure enough, the locket box was hidden among the many food containers. You smiled your appreciation at her.
You also liked knowing that meant Charles had talked to Delia about everything.
“Thank you so much for joining us, Y/N,” Delia said.
“Thank you for having me!” you said. “I love spending time with all of you, and spending holidays with you means so much to me.”
“We’ll see you at Christmas?” Charles asked.
“I’ll bring her over between now and then, Dad,” Lydia said, almost confused.
You shot Charles a smile. “But I’ll definitely be here for Christmas.”

Never Home (Sebastian Stan x Reader)
Prompt- Sebastian is working on a movie and the reader thinks he’s cheating.
Warnings- talk of cheating, angst
WC- 3.6k
AN- I’m back with a marvel fic! I hope you enjoy. I’ll be posting more Descendants tomorrow! this is unedited so there are probably mistakes, I apologize.
Another day, another morning waking up to an empty bed. You sighed. Sebastian must have left already, again. It didn’t use to bother you. You know how hard it is to balance acting and personal life. With his new movie coming out, it feels like he’s gone all the time. You can’t remember the last date you guys had or the last time you ate dinner together. You missed him. You looked around your two-bedroom apartment. It could really use some cleaning. You put your hands on your hips. Maybe Seb would appreciate a clean house?
You got to work. You started in the living room and cleaned the table of cups and the old take out that Sebastian brought home last night. The house was quiet. You turned on the TV for some background and then walked to the kitchen to place the dirty cups in the sink to be washed later. Walking back into the living room, the celebrity news was playing. You rolled your eyes and picked up the remote, pointing it at the TV, but the headline caught your eye. “Marvel actor, Sebastian Stan, dumped his old fling for this new one?” Old fling? What?
You ended up turning the volume up louder and sitting on the couch. Seb wouldn’t do this right? He’d talk about it, you’ve always been able to talk about things. “Rumors seem to have been proved true today. Stan and his old girl, (Y/N) (L/N), are looking to be split. These pictures were taken just this evening. Stan is with his new costar out and about, looking very comfortable with each other…” Blood rushing through your eyes blocked anything else coming from the reporter. Through blurry eyes, you watched as pictures flashed across the screen. Sebastian holding a blonde girl’s hand. Another one with his hand on the small of her back. His hair was even pulled up in a half-bun… the way you’ve always loved.
Holding back a sob, you quickly cut off the TV and put your arms on your knees, resting your head on your hands. This can’t be happening. You can never trust a tabloid, you know this. You did know this but those pictures… looked so real. His eyes held something that was usually for you. Maybe she was blind? You took that Into consideration. That would explain the hand-holding, but why hasn’t Seb mentioned her? You knew he had female costars but he usually talks about them. He hadn’t even mentioned one, much less one that he was this close to. Her eyes didn’t look blind. Her eyes were connected to his, she was looking directly at him. Family? Sebastian doesn’t have a blind family member. Why would he be holding family like… he held you?
Cleaning… just had to wait. It felt like the energy had been torn from your body. You numbly got up off the couch and went to your room. Your shared room. The room you shared with the love of your life, but were you his? Hot tears leaked out of your eyes as you looked around. His clothes were thrown by the basket, he always picked them up once he got home. Will he come home? His phone charger was laying on the table by his side of the bed. Will he ever sleep there again? His sock drawer was overflowing and needed to be reorganized. What will you put in those drawers when he leaves?
The thoughts were too much. It hurt to think about. Did the last four years of your life not mean anything? All those little dates. All the flowers. All the kisses and nights spent under the sheets. What about the laughs shared or the tears shed together. You thought you made it, finally. This one wasn’t going to leave you. You truly thought Seb was the one. You talked of marriage and his eyes would light up. “I’ll marry you. I will, but I’m going to do it right. Ask you properly,” he would say when you mentioned it. He looked so in love. It made your heart melt, but now it was causing you to hurt.
Looking at your phone, you realized that it had already been hours since you turned on the TV. You were surprised. I had been sitting here for hours? Wait. You turned on your phone again. There were some odd notifications from Twitter or Youtube but something was missing. Sebastian. He-he always texts you. Even when he’s busy, he would take the time to send a quick message. Come to think about it, you didn’t think he had messaged you all week.
You wanted to be mad, and you were, but sadness took over. Should you pack a bag and leave? No. Stay and talk it out. If he is cheating, you sniffed, you’ll make him tell you and that will be the end of it. You’ll send someone over to the apartment to get your stuff and you’ll leave. Go back to your hometown and stay with your mom while you get a job. She’s been bugging you to stay with her.
Still, you decided to pack a backpack just in case. It wouldn’t hurt to have on hand so you can get out of his hair as soon as possible. You checked the time after you were done. An Instagram notification. From Sebastian. Oh. He must really be ignoring you. Tears welled up again. No, suck it up. You clicked on the post and your heart dropped. He was at a bar. His caption, Celebration Party, left little clue as to what he was doing. The same blonde girl was right next to him. Cuddled. Up. Her hand in his shoulder and was leaned in close for a picture. So, maybe it was true.
A text coming through scared you. Speak of the devil, Sebastian had finally texted you. “Anything, in particular, you want to eat tonight, honey?” Honey. He called you honey. You ignored him out of spite. You know he got the read sign. The three dots popped up a couple of seconds later, “Is everything okay, baby?” He knows your weakness, all these pet names. He’s probably trying to make you soft incase you saw anything. You shook the thoughts. You once again left him on read, but this time you left your phone on the bedside table and walked to the living room to wait. You didn’t see Seb’s “I’ll home soon, sweetheart, with a surprise” or his “I’m getting a ride with Julie, my language trainer for the movie” text before you left the room.
You hadn’t been sitting there long before you saw headlights. Headlights? Seb usually walks home. You got up and walked over to the window. You watched as the passenger side door open, revealing Seb. You expected him to just shut the door and walk up but the driver side door also opened. A blonde woman stepped out. The blonde woman who Seb has been with. Oh. You quickly ducked to the side of the window where hopefully they couldn’t see you. Seb had a look on his face. He seemed nervous? Why would he be- oh shit no. Was he bringing her to break up with her? He was gesturing up to your house and he slid his hand in his pocket. The woman’s hand reached for his and held it. Tears that you didn’t know were in your eyes, fell down your face. You didn’t have the urge to wipe them away. Seb was now smiling, So she can comfort him?
The blonde started to lean in. She whispered something in his ear. Seb blushed. A sob caught in your throat and you rushed away from the window. It’s happening, isn’t it?

Sebastian’s POV (starting in the morning)
Leaving the bed was hard in the morning, especially when Seb had you in his arms. You always looked so peacefully. Some days, it hurts Seb to leave. All he wants to do is spend the day with you and he’ll have that and the rest of his life, if what he has planned for today works. Today should be an easy one. He filmed his scenes yesterday and all he has to do today is to meet with a language specialist to get his accent for the movie down pat. Afterward, something huge was going to happen.
Seb reluctantly got out of bed and threw his nightclothes in the direction of the hamper and stepped into the closet to find a nice outfit for today. He grabbed his jeans and t-shirt, opting to throw on a jacket before he left the house, and headed to the bathroom to shower and shave. He took the time to wash his hair and body, his mind running a million thoughts. He usually took his time, doing things, but he was eager to start the day. Hopefully, later, he thought and dried off.
Seb walked back into the bedroom and grabbed his phone and looked over at you. He smiled. God, I love her. You were spread out on your back, the sheet covering your body and your face turned towards him. He leaned down and kissed your forehead. “I’ll be home soon, babydoll, I love you,” he whispered and kissed you again. He checked the time and sighed. He wished he could make some breakfast but he’s gotta go or he’ll be late.
The walk to the studio wasn’t a bad one. It was too early for fans, too early for anyone really, and the view of the river beyond the city was beautiful. Maybe I’ll take her here tonight. Not where I wanted to have it but she’ll like it.
The studio finally came into view and Sebastian walked through the double doors in the front. He was greeted with staff and the smell of coffee. He was sidetracked from coffee when a blonde lady pulled him to the side and shook his hand. She introduced herself as Julie. Apparently, she’s the one that’ll be teaching him the accent. Alright. “So, Sebastian, I want to get to know you, I do this with all my clients. It helps with my teaching strategy and stuff like that.” Sebastian nodded, “how does lunch sound?” “Perfect! I’ll meet you at Bread and Butter right down the street at, let's say, noon?” “Sounds good.” She walked away and Seb finally got his coffee.
Seb spent the day in meetings with the director and his agent. He thought about you the entire time, the two breaks he got was filled with a bathroom trip and he stupidly forgot his phone both times. Noon came around fairly quickly. Sebastian walked into the lobby and was about to call you when Julie sweep him away for lunch.
Bread and Butter was a small but open cafe. They were seated immediately and Julie started asking questions. “So, I heard you were in a pretty serious relationship…” a dazzling smile lit up Sebastian’s face. He absolutely loved being able to talk about you and show you off. Sebastian spent a good portion of lunch just describing you to Julie. Julie could feel the love pouring off of him. Julie was about to ask another question when a male voice came from the table over. “Julie? I see you haven’t lost your ways,” the voice said. Seb saw Julie stiffen and turn around. “Jacob, I’m on business, leave me the hell alone.” Jacob laughed, “business? I didn’t know sucking dick was a prof- `` ''Just knock it off, dude,” Seb butted in. Julie sent a small relieved smile his way, but Jacob didn’t stop. Words were spat at Julie before Seb finally stood up. He grabbed Julie’s hand and walked out. He missed the light of a camera flash going off.
“You didn’t have to do that, but thank you,” Julie said when they were a few blocks away from the cafe. Seb dropped their hands and waved her off, “it’s really no big deal…” he trailed off when he noticed what they were approaching. A jewelry store. Go in. Julie followed his line of sight. She nudged him, “Go on. I’ll meet you back at the studio.” Seb gratefully smiled and walked in. He was finally going to do it.
He bought it. He finally did. He bought the thing that he had been wanting to buy for the past year. A ring. A simple but elegant ring for the most amazing person in his life. He knew you’ll love it. He had seen your Pinterest board. He slipped the velvet box into his pocket. His heart was beating and he wanted nothing more than to run home and propose right this minute, but he wanted it to be special. He wanted to take you on vacation, but he couldn’t hold on much longer. He craved this. He needed the solid reminder that you’ll never leave him because he’s never going to leave you. His thoughts were full of you the whole walk back to the studio. He never stopped smiling and his hand never left that little box in his jacket pocket.
It finally time for him to leave. He was ready. Julie knows. He wouldn’t shut up about it. He couldn’t. He wanted to shout it so everyone knows. He was stopped right as he exited the building. “Hey, Seb! We heard the good news! Let’s go grab you a last drink as a single man!” It was Rob, his agent. “If you know the news, you know that I’m far from single. And I can’t, this thing is burning a hole in my pocket,” laughed Sebastian. Rob also laughed, “yeah yeah. Just one drink, you’ll early anyway. She’ll be fine at home.”
So that’s how Sebastian ended up at the small bar with a beer in his hand. He’s leaving after this. He’s going to make you his wife. His forever. “Smile!” Sebastian had two seconds to small as Julie was taking a group photo. “Post it!” she said and sent the photo to him. He shrugged. Why not? He didn’t know that picture could cause the biggest hole in his heart that he’s ever felt.
Sebastian stuck to his word and left after only one beer. “Hey, wait up! Let me drive you. You’ll get back to your wife faster,” it was Julie. Seb didn’t see any harm in it. He thanked her and got in. Wife. Yeah, that sounds perfect. He leaned his head against the cool window. Why is this car so hot? He was all nerves. What if you said no? Seb felt tears reach his eyes. No, you’ll say yes. You love him. He loves you with his whole heart. Everything will be fine.
Julie pulled up to the address that Seb gave her. Seb got out. He fixed his shirt and looked at his hair in the car window. Julie also got out. She walked over to Seb, reached for his hand and leaned in and whispered, “go get her, tiger.” Seb couldn’t hold back his smile. He was so happy. He missed the shadow that flew past the living room window…
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(Y/N) POV
You just couldn’t believe it. So it was true. Your love. Your everything. Swept away by a blonde. What did she have that you didn’t? You couldn’t think much more about it. Sebastian was opening the door downstairs. “(Y/N)? Please, are you here? I really need to talk to you.” You couldn’t tell if these were sad tears or if the anger was finally showing its ugly head. You walked down the stairs. Sebastian was standing with his back to you, his head ducked down and his hands in front of him. He kept shifting from foot to foot and couldn’t sit still. Your foot hit the creaky floorboards at the bottom of the stairs. His head jerked up and he spun around. His smile was huge but it dropped as soon as he saw the old and new tear tracks that trailed down your face. “(Y/N)! What’s wrong? Are you hurt?” he rushed forward and tried to grab you by the waist but you jerked back. His face dropped even more. “Baby…” you stopped him with a hand. “Just… don’t Sebastian.”
You could see the tears in his eyes. “W-what happened? Please, I’ll make it all better, bab-” “Don’t! Don’t call me baby!” His face broke your heart. Why did he look so… devastated if he was just going to break up? His hand flew to his pocket and a whimper fell from his mouth, “(Y/N), please, don’t do this! I-I love you. I can’t think of a world without you. D-don’t leave me,” a sob fell from his lips and he kneeled on the ground to look up at you, “please tell me what I can do to make you stay.” He was literally begging you to stay. Why? He was the one that’s supposed to be leaving? You looked down at him, “what do you mean ‘don’t leave’?” a sharp breath and another sob halted your sentence. Sebastian was sobbing. Why isn’t his hand leaving his pocket? “Sebastian! Look at me!” you demanded through your own tears. His head shot up and you wish you hadn’t told him to look at you. It… it was heartbreaking. His lips were red from being bitten and trying to hold back sobs, his eyes were leaking tears and were bloodshot. He tried to hold back his sobs but nothing was working. “Please. I-I love you so much. I’ll give you anything!”
“A-are you not b-breaking up with me?” you shot your shot. Might as well get it over with. No more waterworks. The world stood still as Sebastian processed your question. “W-what?” Your anger made you roll your eyes and Seb flinched. What is going on? You held up one finger to pause him and walked to the bedroom. You grabbed your phone and pulled up the pictures of Sebastian holding hands with the blonde. You sniffed and walked back out. Seb had moved to the couch but still couldn’t control his breathing. You felt bad but your anger wouldn’t let you do anything about it. You threw the phone at him on the couch and he slowly grabbed it. His eyes widened. He shook his head like he couldn’t believe it. “It matches Seb. You’ve been leaving early and coming back late and you’ve never talked about this girl, and now she’s dropping you off? Just tell me what’s really going on,” he mumbled something under his breath and rubbed his face. You hummed and stepped closer. He looked up at you, “t-that’s…” he couldn’t find the right words, “I just m-met her. That’s Julie,” you grunted, “she’s my voice coach. I c-couldn’t get the accent down so they brought her in. She wanted to know me so she would know how I learned. Cameras must have been there…” he grew angry. Not at you but the reporters for messing up your night. He desperately turned to you, “I promise! Please, I had zero intentions for a breakup tonight, trust me.”
His eyes pleaded for you to trust him, “Baby when have I ever looked like I cheated on you? Why would I start now?” You looked down and shrugged. He’s right. He stood up and gently touched your face. When you didn’t pull away, he made a desperate noise and pulled you into a bone-crushing hug. His hand came up and cradled your head in his hand and his other hand rubbed your back. You both stood there crying. Crying for each other. Crying in relief that your lives together isn’t over. He pulled back with a sniffle and wiped your tears away with his thumbs. “I’m absolutely in love with you, (Y/N). Nothing in this world will change that. I promise, sweetheart,” he kissed your forehead and leaned into him. He ducked down and placed a gentle kiss to your lips. You both tasted like salty tears but it was the perfect gentleness that you both craved at that moment.
He deepened the kiss. The kiss never turned heated. The kiss turned passionate. You both poured your love and fear into the kiss. His tongue licked your bottom lip, asking for access. You granted and moaned into the kiss. He smiled, and soon you both were just smiling like idiots.
He jerked back. “Oh! Um, this might now be the best time but I need to ask you something…” You looked confused when he pulled away. He took a deep breath and reached back into his pocket. His other hand grabbed yours, “(Y/N)...” he dropped down to one knee, you gasped, “today didn’t go as planned,” he lightly laughed, “and this isn’t how I wanted to ask you because you deserve so much more than this living room but I can’t wait,” he pulled the small black box out. The tears were back. Happy tears. “(Y/N), please do me the great honor of becoming your husband and marry me?” You covered your mouth. The ring was breathtaking. It was a thicker band with diamonds down each side with a square diamond in the middle. You looked into Sebastian’s eyes and nodded, “yes…” you finally managed and you saw the look of pure love and relief on his face. He stood up and slid the ring on your finger. You let out a watery laugh and grabbed the back of his head. You kissed. The best damn kiss you’ve ever shared and it was with your husband. Husband. Yeah, that sounds perfect.
