Started watching Soul Surfer for the first time tonight. I was reminded of Kaze, lol. Spoilers for LiyuConberma's Tale of Origin under the cut.

So at the end of Tale of Origin Chapter 16 (One of the best chapters in my opinion, but I haven't read the whole thing in a while), Kaze gets his arm chopped of by his uncle Rakar. The aftermath is fascinating and something I really wish Liyu had explored more. This actually isn't Kaze's first rodeo, sadly. He lost his wings and had to deal with losing a part of his identity. It was a very rough time for him.

After losing his arm, Kaze has to adjust to living life without it, much like Bethany in Soul Surfer. However, Poseidon soon comes to the rescue and gives Kaze a magical prosthetic as an early wedding present. I'm glad this is a world where replacements like that are possible, but I kinda wish it wasn't that easy for Kaze. I wish he had to deal with this very permanent change. At the very least, I wish he didn't wear the prosthetic 24/7.

It's a cool addition to Kaze's character and I wish it wasn't swept under the rug and forgotten about. Still love Kaze and the Cosium AU though. ❤️❤️❤️ It's so good, despite its flaws.

You dont actually support disabled people. How could you write these awful things. You are literally "joking" about probably the most traumatic and painful thing she's been through and saying you wish it was WORSE and that she DIED.

SOUL SURFER- 2011 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Bethany is a teenage surfing sensation on her way to being a champion. A hungry shark chomps her left arm off leaving her left armless. Despite this setback, her family and her faith give her the strength to get back on the board and compete again...

Based on a true story. An enjoyable film from start to finish. Easy to watch and quite uplifting. The shark was one of the best actors in the whole movie. Some sillyness and clumsy dialogue but good feelgood factor.
