Pokemon Company make an evil woman with no redeeming qualities challenge
To be fair, Pokemon doesn't have alot of evil characters to begin with, nearly everyone reforms after you defeat them in a Pokemon battle.
Fire Emblem, on the otherhand, has tons and tons of evil characters with no redeeming qualities, but only like three of them are cis women.
And even the writer that wrote the most evil women, said it was very difficult for him to do so.
I do know this but ALSO! Completely unrelated series and context to what I was talking about!
I am mad that USUM retconned Lusamine into being a good mom and that even after all the stuff with Briar being sus and the thematic undercurrent of the dangers of obsession she like barely does anything and is just like "oops sorry! Didn't mean to nearly get us all killed." Literally you could replace her with Arven at that point and say he's learned a lot studying his dad's old notes.
It's a very specific complaint with this series and wasn't a general complaint about the trope, I'm just bitching about Pokemon, and it wasn't actually an invitation to talk about another series with different context

Imma be real guys. I've been drawing for over a decade. I went to Arts in highschool and University. Sometimes I had to turn in 30 A2 drawings in a week while also working on my personal art.
Never got carpal tunnel. I just draw with my arm and stretch my wrist and fingers occasionally. I do not understand how people who have been drawing for longer than I have hurt their wrists so often. Unless you have a physical disability/previous injury that just fucks up your wrist regardless, I do not get it. You've been drawing for years, surely at some point you researched how to prevent such injuries? Surely you know drawing doesn't just fuck up your wrist if you do it properly (again, as long as you're healthy of body with no previous injuries)?

The other comment I have to make on the people posting bts things is please stop assuming everything is for 911.
These people have lives outside of 911 and some of these jobs aren't exclusive to 911.
I've been biting my tongue because I don't wanna be a buzzkill but this Abbott crossover that people think is sure thing is far from.
The story that got posted on the Abbott set was posted by someone who works a role/job where they don't exclusively work for 911. (It might be their primary gig. Sometimes people in that job do work for just one show. But it is a role where depending on things you might be bouncing between shows). That same person is also an actor/actress outside of their normal job. And they posted walking past the Abbott set on the Warner Bros lot. It's not even implied they were working there that day.
Along with that, the main cast (confirmed Ryan, Kenny, and Oliver) were filming on the Fox Lot at the firehouse. They wouldn't be filming a crossover without them.
I'm not saying the crossover absolutely isn't happening. Abbott is doing a crossover with some mystery show this season. But that video is not proof it's 911.

Genuine question: Why do you ship Radiobelle? I've seen a lot of people doing it, and I'm curious as to what the appeal is!
The real question is, why do people ship anything? Why do we all see two or sometimes more characters interact with each other and imagine how cool it would be if they both had deep-seated romantic feelings for the other?
Answer: cuz we can!šŸ˜Œ
Idk about the rest of you, but I donā€™t exactly have much control over what I ship and donā€™t shipšŸ˜… I just see the characters together and my brain randomly decides either ā€œyes I want them to make outā€ or ā€œnooo I donā€™t really see itā€
But as for Radiobelle specifically, thereā€™s just something about them that my silly fangirl heart canā€™t resist. While I am fairly new to the HH fandom, I did watch the pilot around the time it came out and a small part of me did ship them back then. But I never really allowed myself to indulge in it and I just wasnā€™t that into the show anyway so I didnā€™t bother. Now, after actually watching the episodes and engaging in fandom content, I finally embraced the cringe to the full extent and let myself be consumed by the radio demon and his charming demon belle! :P
Now Iā€™m aware that the majority of people donā€™t like Radiobelle, or even full-on hate it for multiple reasons. Sure, whatever. You donā€™t have to like every ship, nor does anyone expect you to! I can understand itā€™s not for everybody. The main thing that bugs me, though, is when people try to start arguments about why itā€™ll never be canon and why you shouldnā€™t ship it. ā€œCharlie is with Vaggie and Alastor is aro/ace!ā€ People ship Alastor with a multitude of other characters and nobody bats an eye,, why is it only when you see him being drawn with Charlie that you lose your shit and get offended about his sexuality being ā€˜erasedā€™? (Thatā€™s a topic for a whole other post tbh). And people can ship Charlie with other people. Hell, they DO! Iā€™ve seen numerous art of her and other characters.
Then thereā€™s also the ā€œAlastor thinks of her as his daughter!ā€ See, I want everybody to actually watch episode 5 again and come back to me on this. No, he fucking does not. The only reason he was saying any of that was to get under Luciferā€™s skin. Thatā€™s it. That was his whole intention. He doesnā€™t like Lucifer and wanted to rub it in his face that he has been a lousy father to his daughter, in comparison to all the ways he has helped her, with the hotel and whatever else.
Phew, now that Iā€™ve gotten that out of the way! Onto why Radiobelle has stolen my heart!
I just love their dynamic and it all really started with the pilot. Alastorā€”this mysterious force of nature who can kill anyone and anything, is capable of unimaginable power and tortureā€”randomly showing up on the doorstep of a hotel to help out. And literally no one else trusts him (reasonably so) but Charlie, the good-hearted soul she is, lets him in. Sheā€™s cautious, of course, but sheā€™s giving him the chance to do some good because thatā€™s what her dream is all about!
Now while I do wish they had some more interactions in the actual show, what we have so far is scrumptiousāœØ Alastor may have been giving an abundance of praise to Charlie to piss off her dad, but I donā€™t think he was lying. Deep down Iā€™m sure he is enjoying the time theyā€™ve spent togetherā€”even if he doesnā€™t fully realize it. Charlie defends Alā€™s sadistic behavior to her dad because he was doing it to defend the hotel (and bc heā€™s a cocky mf lol but itā€™s endearing to her in a way).
Oh and donā€™t even get me STARTED on episode 7 bro,, omfg the content!! The way heā€™s extra touchy with her even after theyā€™ve made their deal. Her being nervous and stressed out but he encourages her anyway and verbally admits that he had faith in her the whole time. Him giving her his microphoneā€”which is likely the main source of his power as shown in episode 8 (where he let her use his mic AGAIN!!!) which just shows how much he actually trusts her,, UGH itā€™s just šŸ¤ŒšŸ»šŸ¤ŒšŸ»šŸ¤ŒšŸ»šŸ¤ŒšŸ» give me more!!
Now, do I expect Radiobelle to become canon? No. Would it be fucking awesome if it did? Oh absolutely. But I know it wonā€™t, and I donā€™t care! Iā€™m having the time of my life shipping these two hell-dwelling idiots and I donā€™t care what anyone says about it!šŸ˜‹

Wait is Stahl brown hair or gray hair??
And then the wiki description says he has Olive hair like ??? What color is that green?
It's not a thing against you I just periodically forget how strange of a hair color Stahl's is and become more confused later.
Hey, sorry to inform you but uh... you're asking the wrong person. I used to think he had light brown hair and colored it light brown for years and then was told by someone it was weird to see it with brown hair and I was like "what do you mean he doesn't have brown hair".
I just use the color picker tool for most art and back then I didn't use it from the 3DS sprites and just. Thought I was right. It was clearly light brown. (it's not light brown, it's more greenish)
I think I used color picking from FEH art for the greenish-gray color I color it now? But that's only after coloring his hair incorrectly for literal years. And then I tend to pull up old art I've done/colored to color pick that for consistency so I just am a whole mess of "I don't know what Stahl's hair color is and I have come to terms with it".

hey loving your commentary. I wanted to get your opinion on something about cas as a careful watcher. because as almost equally as frustrating I find him, I pity cas. I think I have a slightly more generous interpretation of Cas's intentions than you tho. I think each time he's landed in this situation he's genuinely shocked that he did it again and each time it's worse because each time he thought he tried harder. But I watched the show in a blur not taking notes or anything so that might just be a hc I'm projecting onto the story. Even if that's the case I genuinely have a lot of sympathy for how hard it must be for him to adjust his manner of being and so I was patient with this being a reoccurring problem. Maybe it's because Misha Collin's got so good at looks of painful regret as the seasons went on. Is this your first time watching or is this a rewatch for you? I'm curious what you think about cas and cas and dean during season 15.
i do want to be clear - i love cas. i have a ton of sympathy for cas. i am feeling particularly frustrated with cas right now in a way that i haven't at other points in the series, specifically because of the surrounding context. and i'm struggling between feelings of "cas never learns his lesson and everyone else pays" and "the writers don't allow cas to learn this lesson and keep falling back on the same plot point." (under the cut because it got long)
my context: in short, i watched seasons 1-7 back in the day, watched 8-10 live, watched 15x18 shortly after it aired and 15x19-15x20 live, and am now watching seasons 11-15 in full for the first time. but i know the big plot points and have seen quite a bit of discussion around the episodes i haven't seen. specifically i've seen a lot of discussion about how every negative thing that happens between dean and cas is dean's fault, which is generally something i don't agree with. so in part i'm coming in hot because i'm reacting to the difference between that interpretation and what i'm seeing on my screen.
and back to the show context: i'm feeling frustrated because i know where this is going in season 15. i know dean and cas are going to fight, dean will apologize and take almost the entirety of the blame for the hurt between them, and then cas will die sacrificing himself for dean, sealing his fate as "the guy who makes big sacrifices for everyone else and doesn't tell them." and i'm feeling frustrated that this jack situation is happening in part because cas made the empty deal and didn't tell dean or sam, and because cas knew about jack and felix and tried to "fix" it himself without telling anyone. (his plan for fixing it is also so indirect as to almost be laughable, but that's a different rant)
dean is being harsh in 14x18. no doubt. it's awful to watch. i can also understand where he's coming from, especially because 1) cas keeps doing this and 2) when dean tried to do something similar to what cas just did (execute the ma'lak box plan alone), everyone, including cas, eviscerated him for it. and while i don't think cas intends for things to go awry, and he does the "lone wolf" thing out of a desire to protect others, i think he does recognize what he's doing. he intentionally chooses to keep lone-wolfing, even when it has gone wrong before, and even when others (especially dean) have begged him to stop doing this and just tell them what's going on. secretly working with crowley re: the alphas and purgatory in season 6, running away with the angel tablet in season 8, working with metatron, building an angel army in season 9, running off with kelly and the colt in season 12. it's a lot. and this was kind of my last straw.
tl;dr this all just hit at the same time and compounded. i think/hope i'm usually nicer to cas. i do have a ton of sympathy for him but i find myself frustrated that he makes the same choices (even when people ask him not to) and is surprised by the same results.

my final word on the rusty quill mismanagement article situation, since i'm receiving a lot of asks about it, is just: do your own research and use your own judgement. i'm just some guy on tumblr who happens to really enjoy tma and wanted to share some potentially relevant information about an ongoing situation with the company that helped to produce it. i'm not going to tell you to believe it impartially, or how you should personally spend your time, money and efforts. i mean this in the nicest way possible, it's not my business or my problem. it's up to you how you want to respond to this if at all. be kind to each other and don't rely on other people to decide how you should think or feel.

Yoo I absolutely love your punk Cinderpelt art but as a cane user I thought I should let you know that her cane should be used on the opposite side to her injury! Just in case you wanted to draw her (or another cane user) again :3
ahh thank you! :D and i put it on that side on purpose! im basing her anthro version off my Cinderpelt design, and so she can't walk on that leg at all - instead of using the cane in tandem with her injured leg she uses it instead of her injured leg. she should probably have two canes tho

"They like to gather in big mobs, the members of which are only barely capable of independent thought and have the average knowledge and maturity levels of a particularly poorly educated 15yo.
* I would like to apologize to sheep here. Good USEFUL animals, unlike tankies.
** also my apologies to parrots, who are both much smarter and more independent."
Might as well apologize to Tara Westover and everyone in her position too then. Who as a teenager deliberately denied an education by an abusive fundie family, still had more brains, moral values, heart, decency, and common sense than these adult tankies ever will.
People who lack education/have it denied to them aren't just an insult for bad people. But are a very real group who get harmed, and then mocked and used as an easy scapegoat by the world for having been harmed.
Ok, anon hindsight I agree that that has been somewhat in poor taste on my part, and for that, I sincerely apologize. Lack of education in itself is not an insult, and neither is being young.(I admit I have no idea who Tara Westover is but am willing to apologize to her as well). I am sorry.
That said, please allow me to explain myself for a sec, for clarity's sake.
I am not saying that they ARE poorly educated teenagers. Frankly if they were this post would never have been made.I am saying that these grown-ass adults, with full access to the internet and various other sources of information(and often in possession of college degrees), somehow manage to achieve fantastic levels of willful ignorance.
Now, ignorance in and by itself is not a moral failing either.WILLFUL ignorance however is, especially when they claim to be experts on the subject. As is harassing and insulting people who tell them they're wrong. On top of that, their responses are incredibly childish. Imagine correcting someone on basic facts and their response is 50 comments that just say "faggot".Would you be surprised to find out that it was a 30yo and not just some teen being edgy? Because I was.So excuse me for going "What are you, a child?!?" here for a moment.
These are, as far as I can tell from their bios, not disadvantaged children who have been indoctrinated and denied a normal education, so I see no excuse for this combination of immaturity, viciousness, and lack of basic research.
I am just very, very tired.

heya!! just to be clear, like iā€™ve said before, i donā€™t own the idea of a ā€œwandersong but evil auā€ (not even in a theatrically evil kinda way,) but i do own my designs, dynamics, plot threads, and character namesā€¦
iā€™m so glad wanderfell has touched peopleā€™s hearts but this au and the charas are really special to me and are basically like ocā€™s now, (which i am actually developing them as a separate oc thing now too LOL)
i would like to make it clear that i enjoy fanart and interpretations of my au(s), (wanderfell and wanderscript) but please don't make spinoffs or claim them as yours
it is not a public domain au, the idea of the au doesnā€™t belong to me but the characters and plot do so please be mindful of that in the futureā€¦and please remember to always give credit to anything you make fanart of, not just auā€™s but in general, itā€™s the respectful thing to do

Since when did we start charging money on patreon for fanfics šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜ is this for realšŸ˜
hi, love. I haven't seen that many people doing the Patreon thing when it comes to fanfic, but it's pretty common for people who draw for example to set up a Patreon. I believe that everyone who does, just like myself, needs the money. I wouldn't be doing it if i didn't need to. I figured the Patreon setup was the best idea since it's not really that common for people to tip writers, we've been struggling with getting reblogs and comments, so you can imagine.
Right now, I'm applying and doing tests to get an internship, which still won't be enough because I'm also trying to apply for a master's. So, yeah, I'm really thankful for everyone who tipped me on ko-fi and subscribed to my Patreon, last month my savings were over, and the Patreon money was what helped me pay for some medical stuff I needed (Idk if you saw the whole mick schumacher's sick club, but yeah ā€” huge thank you for everyone who subscribed/donated btw).
We often see fic writers as little robots who don't eat, drink, or sleep. We request stuff, and expect an instant reply, and when we get the content we don't even go back to the page to tell the writer our thoughts. We don't reblog, nor leave comments, but still, we expect them to keep writing and keep sharing everything as if it didn't take hours, sometimes days to come up with a 1k piece polished to what we think readers will like best. I hope I don't sound rude, I'm just trying to make a point because I'm tired of seeing writers deactivating, tired of seeing my friends getting writer's block and then people still demanding things.
On top of that, I'm still posting a lot here, from smau to blubs and long fic requests (and I won't even talk about how some pieces aren't even getting a hundred notes, which always makes me wonder if I'm doing something wrong, if my writing is bad, or if there's anything that I could do to make the reader's experience more enjoyable), and it takes a lot of time, it's even harder to balance the two profiles now, but still, I keep sharing some of my work for free. so please, please, don't make me feel bad about needing money. thanks ā¤ļø.

But is she putting in as much effort as she used to? Iā€™ve never seen so many illfitted trousers on her as Iā€™ve seen the past few weeks (today and the beige ones are the worst). And wearing Burberry today was a weird choice given the content of the engagements, considering their clothes isnā€™t even made in the UK. Her team wouldā€™ve been much more on top of that in the past. I think she wants to portray a certain look but whether she likes it or not what she wears is important too.
But I will say, William is worse. He shows up in wrinkly clothes almost every day, and he seems to have forgotten where his ties are most days. Receiving guests in Windsor Castle not even wearing an business suit was a real low point for him. The media and royal watchers just forget the men and donā€™t have the same kind of expectations on them.
I donā€™t know if youā€™ve seen their staff but some of them dress so bad even on official engagements, like Iā€™ll never forget one of their engagements during the coronation week when one of their staff showed up in cargo pants. I think their office in general became too casual during the pandemic and they havenā€™t regained what they had before that (the pandemic overall was really detrimental to their office, I think they lost too many staff members at the same time so thereā€™s too many newish ones there, see how awful their social media has been the past few years (the last few weeks have been much better though)).
Umm... what?? Sorry anon but I do not agree with much of this.
Catherine has worn a wrinkly outfit probably one time that I can remember in recent years. It was Wimbledon and when I saw it on tv, you couldn't even tell. Even if I haven't liked an outfit, every single outfit she has practically EVER worn has been completely appropriate. Yes she's had a few wardrobe snafus here and there but as one of the most photographed women in the world under an intense microscope, she is of course going to have a few of those.
What she wears is important, you're right. Which is why she is always beautifully turned out with well-fitting clothes appropriate for the occasion. She looks completely professional. There's nothing "not princess-like" about wearing trousers, unless we're still stuck in the 1950s. I think what it is is people got used to her dresses and when she's been changing it up, people don't know what to do with themselves... lol. She goes out and does these engagements in nice clothes and then when it comes to the big royal events, she wears very "princessy" clothes and tiaras and jewels. She's been at this for 12 years, she is going to go through lots of different clothing eras. She's experimenting, she's trying a new look, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. I am incredibly confused how somehow putting on a dress = effort but putting on a three piece suit does not... there is nothing ill-fitting about this look at all to me šŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø And one quick google search tells me that Burberry is made in multiple locations including the UK.
I also... don't care what their aids or staff are wearing lol. And I don't think their social media is awful, either. In fact, I think it's been pretty great these past few months.

Saw your tag saying FSM haters come fight you. Here I am! Frankly I'm not so much of a hater as I am just of the opinion "wow this guy sure Started All This Shit" but I'm absolutely willing to hear your view of the matter if you're willing to share! Love some Friendly Fandom Discourse (it's healthy tbh) come at me bro šŸ‘Š šŸ‘Š šŸ‘Š
HI LOL.... my personal opinion is that the FSM gets a lot of hate for similar reasons to wu (which i also think are unjustified but that's a different post). like you said he gets a lot of the blame put on him for starting everything that's to come in the show, but i don't really feel like he intended to do any harm.
the FSM was born into a war. when he was still a very young child, he was forced to choose one side of himself, of his family, and destroy the other. and so he ran away. but this world he runs to is chaotic and dangerous. and so again, he is forced to fight for the right to live in peace along with the inhabitants of this world.
but even in this new world, he wasn't safe: the oni followed him, determined to bring him back to fight for them. and after them, the overlord. his whole life, especially when he was younger, he had been fighting, or running from forces that aimed to destroy him.
i believe the FSM was incredibly paranoid throughout his life, worrying that at any moment everything would be ripped away from him. this can be seen in how secretive he was, how much of his history is hidden away. the mech used to win the war against the overlord was sealed away where it could never be found. he granted elemental powers to select people to help keep him safe. even in his death, he hid away, in a place that even wu could not find.
this paranoia carries on through his sons. he taught them both to fight, to protect themselves, when they were also very young. one of the earliest moments we see of them is them fighting with swords! and though he loves them, they are not immune to his secrecy, or his fears. when they steal the scrolls and enter the serpentine territory, he never fully trusts them again. when garmadon gets bitten and starts to turn to evil, he's desperate to cure him. and i don't fully believe that the FSM intended to make garmadon feel broken or "wrong"... just that his fear has so consumed him at this point that he can't see the damage he's doing to his children.
it's also worth noting that despite garmadon's corruption, the FSM never truly hated him. he was left to protect the golden weapons alongside wu, he recieved the same protective enchanted gi, and was left the same clues to find him after his death. it's just that garmadon was unable to see this through the corruption (which is another post).
perhaps all he did was to protect his sons. that seems to be how wu sees it, at least. because wu repeats this same behaviour with the ninja, even if unintentionally. he brings these kids into a war because that happened to him, and his father before him. maybe he doesn't even realise it's wrong. he hides things from them not only because because he's ashamed of his past (again, another post lol), but because his father always hid things from him. it protects wu, but it also protects the ninja.
i don't believe the FSM was a flawless person. hes one of many grey characters in ninjago, and to boil down everything he did to "good" or "bad" is a disservice. maybe you see him as someone who only ever ran from problems instead of truly solving them, maybe you see him as a cruel and neglectful father. and maybe those are both true. but he's also someone who always tried to fight for peace, for himself and everyone in ninjago, and someone who truly loved his sons, despite the damage he did to them both.
so that's who i think the FSM was. an immortal, all powerful godlike being, yes, but also a scared child who just wanted to live peacefully, and would do anything to prevent another war. and maybe he is, in some way, indirectly responsible for every bad thing in the show, but i think this is more of an after-effect of the countless wars and conflict. he did the best he could, and considering all he went through, i think he did alright.
