I really like this concept. That Sonic can't really control himself, Eggman's takes control of him by "robotizing" him. I can't find much material on this concept. Especially as a comic. But, @multiisketch gave us this! I'm looking forward to every episode! I hope I don't die of excitement until all the episodes arrive. 💙✌️

I re-designed Manic the hedgehog early last year..love it TBH I even have a bit of an idea for a story, or at least some events happening.

He'd still be a master theif but not a true villain villain if I used him in modern Sonic. Whether he'd still be Sonic's brother is still up for debate...definetly would be trouble though.

1. What was the first fandom you got involved in?

So weirdly enough, "Legend of Zelda" was the first fandom I wrote for, but it was for the "Four Swords" manga, and I never really interacted in the fandom despite reading fic of it. The fandom I really started to talk with other people was "Sonic the Hedgehog". That didn't last very long though because we had some person who loved giving out free (unwanted) critiques to 12-13 year olds lmao.

6. List your OTP from each fandom you’ve been involved in.

I think you know two of them already, but I'll just list what I remember from ten years ago lmao:

10. Is there a fandom you read fic from but don’t write in?

I sometimes read "Three Houses/Hopes" fanfic, but since it's only ClaudeShez I search for, there's not much of it. I've never written anything for 3H-verse, but I've been wanting to change that for a while. Just haven't had the inspo (lol...). Otherwise, I'll look for "Fire Emblem Elibe" stuff of Eliwood/Ninian or Roy. Cause Elinini is an OTP and Roy is my son(TM).

I think the problem with Fire Emblem in general is that the worldbuilding in their games is so rich that I get snagged in all the little details and end up not writing shit. LOL. So I just read the fics instead.

20. Any ships which you surprised yourself by liking?

Flynn/Judith, my current OTP, was definitely one of them. I started shipping it because of a gameplay misunderstanding (I thought only Flynn and Judith could learn "Aerial Combo") and because I wanted to see Flynn w/ a girl that was his own age. Now look at me. This one surprised me because very few people in Vesperia fandom ship Flynn with girls (no, srs), and people who like Judith usually just ship her with Yuri. I thought if I did ship Vesperia "het" ships, it would've been Yurijudith + Flystelle combo, which seems to be the default for people who don't want to ship Rita with Estelle for whatever reason.

I guess the other ship that I was surprised by was Claude/Shez. Shez ended up being 10x more entertaining than Byleth, and they had amazing chemistry with Claude, who we got to see more layers from in 3Hopes. I ended up shipping ClaudeShez pretty damn hard. This one took me by surprise cause I never shipped Claude with anyone in 3Houses, like no one that I was gun ho about. But I also blame that on me (at the time) preferring Edelgard over Claude and Dimitri when I first played 3Houses. So I didn't care for their ships. 3Hopes pulled the Uno Reverse card on me.

23. Name a fic you’ve written that you’re especially fond of & explain why you like it.

I'm proud of "Missing From You" because it was a multichapter that I actually fucking finished in time for Tales of the Abyss Week back in March 2022. It's not nearly as wordy as my other stuff, but I enjoyed working on it a lot. It was also my "formal" debut into the "Tales" fandom and when I really started to branch out.

30. What inspires you to write?

Revisiting the source canon usually helps if I need a push, but it can also be counterproductive, too. I usually get inspiration from reading original fiction (so... published books lol). Otherwise, looking at fanart tends to inspire a lot, too.

43. Is there anyone in your fandom who really inspires you?

Not in my current fandom (ie: Tales of).

Past fandoms, there was someone I was inspired by when it came to fanfic, but they turned out to be a real piece of work. It was actually really disappointing when I found out! LMFAO

So, since then, I kinda just do my own thing or stick to my own circle.

51. Rant or Gush about one thing you love or hate in the world of fanfiction! Go!

Rant: I really wish people would stop using "Subscribe" as bookmarks, esp when Ao3 has a private bookmarks option. A lot of bookmarks aren't even public anyway, so I don't get it.

Gush: I like seeing fandom events, like character/ship weeks, (I don't partake in them as much anymore) because it really brings out a variety of works (sometimes). You find stuff you never would've considered before, and idk, it's kinda cool! I do fully believe that fandom events are what keeps the fic/art side of fandom going strong even if the official company is shooting the franchise in the foot (coughTalesof/Bamcocough). So it's best to support them by reblogging/sharing their announcements if you really want to keep the fandom alive.

Just in time for the holidays!  Thought it’d be fun to take a shot at designing Sonic’s possible mom.  Not so much a “headcanon” as it is fanfiction, but I thought it’d be neat if Sonic had a mom that was a blackbelt martial artist of the fictional skill, “Steel Quill.”  It’s a technique in which you train your mind and body be embody steel, in this case, you train yourself to the point where your quills are like tungsten.  Birn (short for Birnadette- yeah I just changed the spelling) is able to use her quills like knives/projectiles, able to slice through metal like its nothing. The downside? You’re heavier, so Steel Quill folk aren’t great swimmers.

Birn is extremely well-versed in physical fitness, covered head to toe in weighted accessories (to keep sharp, of course). Though while her specialty is weight training, Sonic’s partial to aerobics. .. Running.
