TOULOUSE BEAUMONT is twenty-three years old. He is an Art Major. He is the incarnation of Toulouse from the Disney film The Aristocats.

ABOUT TOULOUSE

Confident, carefree, and exuberant. That was how Toulouse would describe himself to anyone that asked, and while they were three words that accurately defined his boisterous side, there was another side that he didn’t let just anyone see. Growing up, he always had to be the one to bend the rules. If his siblings were on their best behavior, he was trying subtly to throw them off their game and encourage more freedom within their lives. While it may have seemed innocent at times, there was another reason for his seemingly immature antics. Toulouse always had more energy out of the three of them, energy that he hardly knew what to do with other than to get rowdy and act a fool. He got bored easily, and always needed something to hold his interest. Toulouse never saw the point in living a stuffy, dull, serious lifestyle and from childhood opted to live a more lively one, full of spontaneity and excitement. One of the ways he sought it out was through his painting. Art came easy to him. It was like breathing, he didn’t have to think about it before his hand created a stroke. Since art was subjective, and there could be many meanings to one single piece, Toulouse never found himself getting bored of it. Much like how art was liberating and meant to be taken with each person’s individual interpretation, that was how Toulouse felt about the strict confines of the way he and his siblings were raised. Children weren’t meant to be model dolls, dressed up and poised all of the time. They were meant to get dirty, get messy, be rough around the edges and unapologetically creative in their own way. Though he loves his siblings more than anything, Toulouse often struggled while growing up to feel completely connected to them, as he not only started to pursue a different path than music, but his reckless behavior started to worsen. The confident and carefree side would often slip away in these moments, leaving behind a quiet and insecure boy in his place. For the longest time, no one had known what was going on with him. Why he always had to be moving around, always had to have some sort of challenging stimulus in the environment to keep life interesting. It made more sense as he got older and was able to better understand himself, though as a child it made things more complicated, and often got him into trouble. Of course, the amount of trouble he would cause was only ever minimum, and his mother had never punished him harshly, but there were plenty of nights where Toulouse had a few extra chores on his hands for distracting himself and his siblings or causing a fuss when it wasn’t necessary. As much as Toulouse puts up the front that he is a tough guy who can take on the world with nothing but his bare hands and the clothes on his back, realistically, he would never hurt a fly. That is, unless someone were to threaten his family. Though he could never recall a time that it happened, he is typically a bit skeptical of his family members meeting new people and getting attached too easily. As a college student, Toulouse has gotten a better handle on his studies and abilities to focus. It did help that he was an art major, and that art came so easily to him, but when it comes to learning other academics, well… he’s working on it. Most of all, he wants to make his mother proud. If he could just do that, then all of his challenges in the past will have been worth it, in his eyes.
