Pit Babe episode 2 rewatch/live commentary (part 2)
They're so precious
Look at that, pictures are back
I'm 100% behind the NorthSonicKim trouple idea, but I will always have a soft spot NorthSonicDean. I mean look at those two...so cute
Alan look so proud already and Jeff hasn't even joined yet. Get a grip Uncle
I need to know what they're saying behind that glass, come on , share the gossip!
His face and the way he look toward the boys always crack me up (+ them laughing at him)
"Multiple positions" 😏
When Jeff decided to try and join X-hunter, i'm pretty sure he never prepared himself for someone like Alan
Every time i watch this scene I'm always distracted by the trio shenanigans behind the glass panel
Charlie and the car matching again
So that who Charlie was meeting, i could never have guessed........lol
"I have an idea", famous last word Jeff !
Babe knowing smirk...maybe he's the one seen the future
I'm sorry but that smile with the almost wink toward Jeff....that Nut, not Way
You two are always okay with what the other want...it's cute
Alan is like "what the F! Babe?!"
Stop looking at each other !!!!!!!!!
And here we go 😒...nope, you didn't see anything Way !
Just how many potential team mate did Babe hook up with ? And how many of those hook up ended with the man getting thrown out the garage after a few days ?
Now that's a prime exemple of "smiling through the pain". Thank you Way for this masterclass.
Smiley babies! And i love how touchy feely they're with each other (pack behavior)
let's all take a minute to thank tumblr for the microwave result after the compression !
Do you think Apple agreed for the product placement ? In the Vroom vroom Omegaverse BL ?
And once again NorthSonic being like little angel/demon on someone shoulders (the color are even matching....but i'm pretty sure that's unintentional)
So, if i got this right, Way "left" Tony's mansion, came to Alan and after leaving the same situation, Babe ended up there as well....now that what i call a f*cking miracle!
Or Alan superpower is to attract and take under his wings poor little special alpha after they left their abusive/evil adopted father......see, i told you we all needed an Alan in our life !
Definition of "tunnel vision"
There is enough place to add like 3 chair around the table, but Sonic had to squeeze between Way and North (Am i implying that Sonic display some omegas behavior ? Yes, and i will have more evidence to show late on)
Dean gently tugging on Babe's arm🫠
One thing that i really like in the series is the easy physical affection between the characters. Especially from Babe (and not only with Charlie)
Sure Babe, and Denial is just a river in Egypt
Shut up Way !!!
How to *not* be subtle , by Jeff and Charlie
Pooh nailed the worried but exasperated older brother's face
That black leather jacket really slims down Pavel
Charlie had Babe figured out from the beginning
So you are angry because you think that Charlie is not in a exclusive relationship with you ? ->jealousy
Charlie being on the AlanJeff ship from the get go
..........🤦♀️ This show is a comedy...🤣
Hiiii Kim !!!!!! You're really pretty!!!! Especially when you're choking a guy into submission
🥰 Pop 🥰
He may try to hide it, but Babe love the idea of Charlie fighting for him (new kink unlocked🫡)
oh look, a *not so terrible* gif set🥳
Well, someone enjoyed that fight
The look that Kim give to Charlie and the way they look at each other....The chemistry is really chemistrying.
He's so proud of his puppy
And now, one of my favorite scene : Dom!Kim and really pathetic!Winner
I know that Pop is a cutie patotie, but that shouldn't apply to Winner
Look at him....look at them. They're perfect 😭😭😭
That's a very interesting car collection Babe
How does Way keep the showroom running ? On what money ?
Once again shut up Way!!! Go elsewhere !!!!
I don't know why, but i really like this shot
He's so gone for Charlie, it's almost painful to watch....But Pavel's smile is so pretty
Even Babe is done with you 🤣
And that it for part 2.....see you tomorrow

Exploring the Ice King (1)
As I write these lines, the first snowfalls happened in France. To fit with the weather, I thought of starting something I was planning to do for quite a long time... A series of posts talking about Adventure Time's Ice King.
Well... not posts talking really about him. But rather posts talking about the origin, the formation, the tropes and archetypes at play with this character. Adventure Time is a very, very weird media in terms of mediatic evolution as it is a very bizarre yet influential step in the evolution of fantasy, placing itself as the unusual crossroad between faithful homage, absurdist parody and fresh continuation. It's... well it's weird. And the Ice King, one of the most crucial characters of the series, is a literal melting pot of MANY many different elements of the fantasy fiction.
I will start in this post with the function of the Ice King, mainly how he manifests the type of the "recurring pitiful villain".
When I think of a potential cultural ancestor for the Ice King, being a French person, I immediately think of Gargamel, the main antagonist of the Smurfs.
Why? It seems at first the two have nothing in common... And yet when you think about it, the two are old, ugly men practicing magic. The two are recurring villains that become one of the iconic head of the show. The two start as a legitimate, creepy, evil threat and then devolve in a pathetic, foolish, almost friendly foe - notably because each of their scheme and plan is bound to fail or blow back in their face, as part of the law of "evil can't win". The two are driven by a monomania, an obsession that becomes their main trait (capturing princesses/capturing the Smurfs), and the two have an animal sidekick that they treat with a mix of abuse and love (Gunther/Azrael).
I can't claim that the Ice King was directly inspired by Gargamel... But it is interesting to point out that the Ice King answers to a very specific type of villain in older children cartoon: the recurring but ineffective villain, the returning protagonist who always fail and despite his antagonism is part of the "main cast" so to speak, the "evil" guy who isn't so much evil as just a weird goof we laugh more at than we really dread.
A more American example could be Dick Dastardly from "Wacky Races", who has the bonus point of also having an animal sidekick:
There are many, MANY iconic and classic exemples of the "recurring, ineffective villain" in older children cartoons. I evoked Gargamel and Dick above because of their familiar animal, which highlights the parallel, but other "predecessors" of the Ice King include The Professor from Felix the Cat (bonus point for being an old man with a strong white theme and this huge mustache - and extra bonus point when you know that "Felix the Cat" was one of the first inspirations for Adventure Time's artstyle):
Elmer Fudd, who was eventually so pitiful in his evilness that Yosemite Sam had to be introduced (Yosemite Sam could also have played a part in the Ice King's creation as he has the King's short-temper mixed with the luscious facial hair):
You can also count in Wile E. Coyote - he isn't obviously related to the Ice King and I don't think he was an inspiration, but he is one of the icons of the "loser villain" that keeps inventing extravagant schemes, a monomaniac who is doomed to never succeed.
Or Shredder, from the old Teenage Turtle Ninjas cartoon...
... Or even "Eggman" Robotnik from the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise (there is something to be said about how a lot of these characters enjoy excentric facial hair).
And to conclude we need, of course, to bring forward the greatest of all these ineffective antagonists, and one that clearly did have an influence over Adventure Time: Skeletor, who was such a failure that the writers of He-Man themselves took pity on the guy and ultimately replaced him with alternate antagonists.
All of these "predecessors" did form a type of villain, a niche that the Ice King nicely filled. However, the Ice King's first "function" was not to be such a sad clown of a villain...

The french dub of Sonic Underground (1999) was better than the english one and here's why.
Here's a rant that no one asked for (and that probably no one will read in its entirety or at all), but I still wanted to write about it. I used to date a guy who said that the english dub of Sonic Underground was better than the french one and that is just inacceptable.
If you don't know what it is, Sonic Underground is an animated series made by both France and the United States in 1999 and was first aired in France in January, then the USA in August. It follows the adventures of Sonic and his siblings, Sonia and Manic, while they are trying to find their mother and also defeat the evil Robotnik who rules over their city. Each episodes features it's own original song. Even though this series wasn't really appreciated by Sonic fans, I personally loved it as a kid as it was one of the few series you could find for free on YouTube that was fully available in French back then (sadly, it doesn't seem to be anymore).
Now here are my arguments:
1. The jokes were funnier in French
Now, for anyone who speaks French as a first language, you know that's rarely the case. But for Sonic Underground, it just is. One exemple in particular just stuck with me, in episode 02:
There's this one moment where Sonic, Manic and Sonia find a cloak that look's like it could be their mother's. Then Sonic says that there was something wrong with it. It's then that Louvois (Sleet in English) shows up and, in the French dub, basically says like the absolute troll that he is : ''maybe it's because the label is in English''. Then the screen shows how, on the label it's written in English how the cloak is actually owned by Sleet. I just found little jokes like that so freaking funny, it's unbelievable. In the english dub, Sleet just boringly says that there's something wrong with the tag. Boring.
2. The songs sound better
This is entirely my own personal opinion, but I think that the songs in Sonic Underground sounded better in French. I just think that the songs rhymed better in French. A first exemple could be the intro song that, while similar, still sounded quite different. I liked the French version better, but I might just be biased on this one. It just sounds so dramatic, I love it.
youtube
The French version
youtube
The English version
Then there's my favorite song from this show. I really think that the French version of this song was done better than in English and that's something so freaking rare in dubs. From the same episode mentionned earlier, the song in French was called Fréquence copains, while, in English, it's Have you got the 4.1.1? To be honest, I have no clue what the 4.1.1 is. Still, I think it sounds better in French.
youtube
The French version

The English version
Something else that I discovered while searching videos to back up my claim for this rant is one song that, in French, is called Comme au temps des acadiens, while in English it's Let the good times roll. If you don't know who the Acadians are, they were Fench speaking people living In what was called Acadia, who later on mostly became Nova Scotia. After Britain won some territory over France, they took over Acadia and basically decided they didn't want the people already living there to stay there anymore. But it's not like Acadians could just go to France, by that time, the acadians people had been living there for quite a few generations and didn't really thought themselves as French people. They had their own identity. So Britain decided to clear out their houses so English people could live there and deported them towards the 13 colonies while also separating families so that they wouldn't keep their language or something (i'm going off from my high school history classes and museums on acadians in Nova Scotia, guys, this is what I basically remember). Many tried to go back to their homes in Acadia, but many were unsuccesful. In any case, here's the song:

3. The terrible choices for the voice actors (BASICALLY THE MOST IMPORTANT POINT I HAVE)
Here is my last point and also my most important one. I fully believe that the English dub of Sonic Underground wouldn't have been as terrible if it wasn't for that one decision. In the 90s, the established voice for Sonic in animated series was Jaleel White. He already voiced Sonic in Sonic the Hedgehog (1991), so for continuity's sake, it wasn't a bad choice to recast him in Sonic Underground. The problem came when it was decided that he would also voice Sonia and Manic. I guess for Manic, it's not too bad. The problem really came with Sonia. His voice as Sonia is what made the show unbearable for me to watch in English. I found it even worse when he had to sing with the high pitch weird voice of Sonia. It was just terrible. I wonder who thought THAT would be a good idea? Luckily, they didn't do that in the French dub. They actually casted three different people for the siblings. Sonic was voiced by Olivier Korol, Manic (and also Knuckles) was voiced by Philippe Bozo and Sonia was voiced by Patricia Legrand. And thank god for Patricia Legrand. I think her voice suited perfectly Sonia. Not only did she have a really nice singing voice, but her voice also suited perfectly her character who was a noble lady. Patricia Legrand made her character sound like she actually came from a higher class, which I think was really nice.
Here is some of my research :)

Being apart of multiple fandoms is so weird. You’re just chilling on Tumblr and you see a My little pony post followed by a One piece fanart. But what I think is the funniest is when these fandoms come together, a recent exemple of that is the DC x sonic collab, like why am I seeing a post about shadow dressed as Batman, sitting alone at a table saying it’s family dinner?!
#fandoms#mlp#one piece#dc x sonic#shadow the hedgehog#batman#dc universe#family dinner but your alone

Oh yeah!! I had forgotten to mention! I had decided to turn the little sonic creatures into a AU! My friend beans kept telling me ideas and they were getting into me..
It wasnt supposed to be a AU but, welp, now it is!
So a have a lil bit about this silly AU! I havent thought of a name yet:
- They all live in a neighborhood with other humans! But there is a house that is a little more isolated and nearby the forest
- In there lives the Scientist and Inventor, Dr.Gerald Robotnik with his granddaughter Maria Robotnik and assistant robots Omega and Gamma!
- As always, Shadow lives with Gerald and Maria but he isnt alone, rouge and silver also lives with them!
- Gerald's house is quite big and have a big garden with a greenhouse and a small cabin for his granddaughter to go play, there is also a small flower garden by Maria's request so she can take care of them
- Sonic, silver, shadow, knuckles, any of the characters that we know of for having powers still maintain them but on a minimum, for exemple silver have difficulties controlling his powers so Gerald helps him, Shadow mostly just have his teleportation [chaos control but it doesnt require a emerald]
- Everyone else lives on the forest! Sometimes visiting the Robotniks to hang out and play with Maria
- The silly creatures have their own language that humans can't understand, tho they can at least understand humans, shadow, rouge and silver know both languages so they translate wat the others says
- I haven't thought yet if Eggman will be included on this AU, i want it to be just a silly and calm AU so currently i dont have any plans about him
- Yes the idw characters r also in this AU! But they live in another close by neighborhood! i havent draw them yet but i will soon enough :>
- They r all close to their canon heights!! But smaller and each have their own height! I just draw them small for drawing purposes
And that's it for now, i hope u guys like this small AU! If u have any questions u can always send me a ask! My ask box is always open :D

i know that silver is the most ill mentally between him and espio....
...but, i trought a long time about this idea, and what if it was espio in reallity, i know espio is that kind of "secret guy" that hate to share his troughts to everyone, he doesnt like to show his saddness for exemple, i mean...like if his childhood was literally a nightmare for him, if he had to live things nobody lived before
plus; ninjas are very severe about trainings, he had to learn how to kill someone very young, it could be a trauma that he never forgot
like, if everyone laughed at him beacause of his difference? their school was like a prison, so one day he decided to run away, then he decided to become someone new and change his mind of those dark troughs, and use his ninja skills to help people, and that's how be became the first chaotix detective
:3
Espio definitely seems like the kind of person who is not fond of talking about his past much, and though we as players know that he's only a ninja because Ninja Are Cool, it does leave many questions about who he used to be and why he decided to be a detective and join the Chaotix unanswered. Silver definitely understands that, since he doesn't like talking about his own experiences either. Whatever Espio has been through, I figure that he'll staunchly refuse to elaborate on it further, and just leave it in the past to be forgotten. Though, most of the Sonic characters have a vague and undefined past, so luckily for Espio he fits right in there.
I actually followed a similar line of thinking as yours for my Espilver Pirate AU! Espio there did indeed defect from his ninja clan due to being unable to find himself in their ideology and methods, and his life up to leaving definitely has not been pleasant. He becomes a pirate instead (under the rule of Captain Robotnik, who sadly has an equally wicked ideology and is not above murder either, but you know, semantics), though there Silver does attempt to find out what Espio has been through in his life, and Espio can talk about it and heal in that way. So at least in one AU, he can make full peace with what has happened to him in the past! <3
#espio the chameleon#small hints of Espilver#Espio's past is quite a curious topic to me but I doubt Sega will ever really dive into it#they don't do it for basically any of their characters so I see no reason why Espio would be different#but on the other hand I do think it is for the best actually

[-REVIEW-] IVE: I've IVE
Album cover taken from YoutubeMusic
Background pictures taken from reddit [1] [2] [3]
“It’s our time, we’re different, we like special things | Oh what a good time | I’m good, worrying about me is a waste of time | No reply after reading the DM you sent | That’s my answer (That’s my style)”
(english translation taken from colorcodedlyrics.com)
Ok, so first things first… this is my first album review in a looong long time, how exciting (and intimidating… kinda) ! If i’m not just de-rusting, I guess I am sort of debuting too, albeit today’s feature already debuted and this is another kind of debut for them but yeah you get the point.
Anyways, enough about me, and more about the feature in question, because it’s quite a heavy hitter ! If you’ve paid any attention to kpop lately, you might have heard of IVE – PAKs flying everywhere, broken records all across the board, enough albums sold to build a bridge across the sea and a handful of very strong songs to their name. What a year. Which made I’ve IVE (yeah), their first full-length project (and a full album at that !!!) all the more exciting; I mean, I really don’t consider myself an IVE stan (...yet?), even though I either really liked or LOVED everything they had released so far, but I can’t deny that I was impatiently waiting for April 10th to come – if only because, don’t lie, the thought of one of the leading girl groups of our times releasing their first album after an unbroken until now string of singles would at least slightly pique the interest of anyone. Well, it’s finally here, so what now ?
One of my main questions when this was announced was; just what sound exactly would they go for ? If ELEVEN, LOVE DIVE and After LIKE were all united in being excellent upbeat goodness, I wouldn’t really say they were cohesive sonically. And the answer is… honestly, a little bit of each ! But more precisely, I’ve IVE seems to follow in the girlboss crush (?) footsteps of After LIKE b-side My Satisfaction – somewhat of a surprise, but ultimately quite a pleasant one for sure. I maintain that My Satisfaction far outclassed After LIKE and was very close to being their best song and look at us now
I was actually a bit afraid of what the final result would be at first, especially after hearing the highlight medley. What I had heard was undeniably good, but not necessarily up my alley – to give you an example that stays within the kpop sphere, my heart is usually with the likes of T-ARA’s (immortal banger) Bo Beep Bo Beep. But I thought, well, it’s just a highlight medley… they have not missed so far… people said the songs they performed at the fanmeet were great (someone called NOT YOUR GIRL a Sistar song which DEFINITELY had me listening)… it’s IVE… surely an album tied to these insane concept photos won't miss… let’s wait and see. And I was right !! Because ultimately, I’ve IVE stands as an extremely enjoyable record !
The sound they went for here is very in-line with (what I perceive to be) their chic, elegant, cool girl concept; I’d say for the most part (mostly the b-sides) it’s very soft and never really in-your-face, quite easy to listen to with a nice flow, but at the same time it’s still really cool and commands your attention just by existing and doing it pretty much flawlessly. I’d compare it to silk. It straddles the line between cool and vibey & catchy and engaging perfectly; which I have to give it credit for, because like I said it’s usually really not the type of sound I'm fully into. I also think a lot of songs that go for it can easily fall in the trap of trying to be a ‘soft bop’ so hard that they end up feeling bland / boring / sanitized and turn into the musical equivalent of watching white paint dry. But here, it’s executed perfectly, from the subtle groove of Lips to the spacey synth touches of Cherish and many more. It’s also one more thing that works in the album’s favor, because as it’s located perfectly at those crossroads – for exemple, it’s both music to get ready to for a night out and music to actually live that night out to –, it’s a very versatile album that you’ll be more likely to run back to in different situations, and as such it’s always a strong player no matter where or what.
Part of why it works so well is that even though pretty much every song exists in that sonic universe, with super smooth modern beats and arrangements that feel minimal without ever becoming too sparse, they all have a different enough energy and goal that they try to achieve. You have the funk and playfulness of Lips & Kitsch, the calm and stillness of Cherish & Heroine, the subtle emotions of Mine & Shine With Me, the edgier sounds of Blue Blood, the super boppy joy and sass of NOT YOUR GIRL & I AM, and not only does it differentiates every track while also keeping the experience fresh without ever having to uproot the listener, it also helps the whole package come together into a strong album that at least touches every mark of what a typical album should be. Chill bops, boppier bops, more emotional bops, you have it all with no stark tonal shift; so as a self-contained work, I’ve IVE covers every ground it needs to in order to confidently stand tall while also keeping enough strengths redistributed in certain areas to add just that bit of charm that makes it shine.
There is sort of an outlier here however, and that is track 7, Hypnosis; one hell of an outlier too, and one that I'm gonna have to give the spotlight to for a bit because whew. From the very beginning with those disorienting and rattling electric synths, you know you’re in for a treat, and the song is quick to confirm that. It’s almost the antithesis of the album, in a way; whereas I’ve IVE is elegant and subtle, Hypnosis is twisted and almost crooked in a way, with dissonants and irregular instruments crawling around the floor of a beat that ultimately proves itself to be SO addictive, contrasting with the soft and dreamy voices of the girls like a solar eclipse. Hypnosis takes the formula of the album and twists it inside out, resulting in this sort of shadow twin that feels like an occult experiment gone wrong in the best possible way. On 1st listen, it reminded me a lot of something I’d hear in the gym of Ecruteak City in Pokemon Gold, mostly because of those electric synths that have a very GameBoy Color quality to them, and god knows that hit me straight in the heart. If you feel bored by I’ve IVE "playing it too safe", then at least try this one, because it’s certainly experimental and genuinely such a great song like oh my god… no subtlety here, just a fever nightmare that won’t let you escape.
…Back to the album now. If this sound palette works so well here, it has to be said, it’s because the production is EXCELLENT. It’s clean, tight, professional and straight to the point, like a shiny, deep-cleaned high end kitchen. Good tools make for great work if used correctly, and the group was armed with nothing but quality here. But what I really like about it, and what lifts I’ve IVE higher, is that it’s littered with a bunch of sparkly flourishes that add the finishing touch to already strong songs. The kazoo in Kitsch, the violin-like strings in the Blue Blood post-chorus, the smooth piano and strings in the background of Cherish, the guitar slowly emerging in Mine for exemple; all are insanely neat little details that add so much to their respective song and truly take them there. In fact, I’d say that they make the softer songs like Lips & Cherish win over their more energetic peers such as I AM & NOT YOUR GIRL because that’s where they’re easier to pick up on and also where they work excellently, making use of the minimal landscapes to place themselves just where they need to and give the songs very pleasant depth – once again, that’s one of the ways in which I’ve IVE avoids the pitfalls of boringness, and that’s by knowing exactly how to mix its ingredients with the perfect amount of pop-up-y flavor to leave a mark. It’s not just “yeah make it as unoffensive as possible” minimalism, it’s minimalism where every little piece is perfectly arranged with the others and completed by that one touch which seals the deal. Their producers did amazing work, for sure, and it gave us such a treat to Listen™ to.
I do wish the songs themselves were a bit longer though – they’re already all pretty much great, but some would still hugely benefit from something like a longer bridge, an actual bridge, a post chorus, another verse… I’m thinking of Blue Blood in particular, it’s a good bop and serves as a great intro but it would blossom so beautifully if it was extended just a bit. Hypnosis also kind of suffers from this, but that one is so impressive that I kind of forget it’s very short lol, yet imagine if it was longer??? The 11-tracks length is perfect because the album doesn’t ever overstay its welcome while also having enough room to expand and do everything it needs to – you can’t take away from I’ve IVE that it’s an extremely concise experience, and that’s sort of a good thing. But I really think that effect would have been kept had the songs been given more time, so it’s a shame that a lot of them are pretty short, usually stopping at around 3 minutes. For all the things I love about it, I guess that’s the big drawback of the streaming era. In that way, it clearly works, because while writing this I went through the album like twice and I didn’t intend to do so at all but I just didn’t notice that it was looped lol, so here are the extra streams in question – but part of that does lie in the fact that like I said, I’ve IVE is an easy listen.
For a first full-length album, I’ve IVE was definitely a great start. It’s very approachable and appeals to a wide audience, but it’s not satisfied by just doing the bare minimum and sacrificing all individuality to reach as many people as possible. Instead, the album pulls out the tricks it has up its sleeve at perfect times to climb up to the next levels on this flawless model walk it’s taking – all without ever breaking a sweat. You can tell there was effort put into this and that they weren’t just like “oh yeah who cares this will sell anyways”. I’ve IVE invites the audience to get into its groove very smoothly, but it never babies them or insults their intelligence by giving them pleasing mind-numbness, instead opting to serve precisely-crafted offerings with that ‘connoisseur’ feel that they know will be genuinely appreciated. The end result is without a doubt a high quality product. Even if IVE’s concept is a match-made in heaven with the sound of the album – i honestly think this was the perfect road to take for them –, it’s still one that any group would be honored to have to its name. They landed on the ground strutting, and wherever it goes from there, this stop has not shown a single sign of wavering flames; if anything, they’re only getting higher thanks to a perpetually-refined craft.
Ranking:
Hypnosis 9.5
Next Page 9.5
Shine With Me 9.4
Cherish 9.3
Lips 9.2
Blue Blood 9.2
Kitsch 9.2
NOT YOUR GIRL 9.2
I AM 9.2
Mine 9.1
Heroine 8.8
Note: 9.3

…Now about me and this blog… as you know, this is my very first review, so this feels relevant to say here, but I’ll admit – allow me to be a bit dramatic – this is kind of a scary experience ?? I really don’t know what I’m doing and I’m still trying to tune this into something with a nice structure and good commentary and a strong footing that I don’t think I have found yet and I don’t even know if I’m just gonna lose interest after a week or keep it running for a month or two or a year who knows??? Certainly not me. So yeah it’s a bit shaky for now. But I guess I'll just keep walking until I get the hang of things ? (I haven’t even figured out Tumblr yet😭) So… until then, look forward to it !! (and I promise i won’t be pesky like that every single time lol, keep watching and you’ll see!)

Ok so i'll give my opnion on some things and you tell me how you feel:
1) i think selling tickets for the tour behind the stage, it's pure greed. If u want more people in the show, make a stage in the middle of the stadium 360⁰
2) Im so tired of swifities saying 'wow taylor works SO MUCH" cause like she gets paid enough for those hours, i'm sure we (not famous people) work the same if not more hours a week and like i dont have a million. I actually think she is one the few celebs that are worth million dollars and work that amount
3) Midnights sounds so boring to me. The sounds are so..... empty (very much Jack style). I listen to the album, just dont LOVE it, yk?
Plus: i find a lot of the lyrics cringe. Some exemples-
- vigilant shit (the whole thing)
- i'm mastermind and now you're mine cause i'm a mastermind
- paris (the whole thing)
- sweet like justice, karma is a queen
- sexy baby
Anyway i"m taylor fan, just some things are weird to me
Welcome to my thoughts (3am edition) because I cannot sleep lmao.
Tickets: I think selling tickets behind the stage is fine so long as it's marked as such. Like so long as the customer knows what they're getting and can make a fully consenting choice, I think it's fine, especially in a venue where there's screens that can be watched because more people in those seats would be watching the screens a lot during the show anyway. Where it gets shady is in cases like what Ticketmaster did for Eras where some of the seats weren't marked as being behind the stage/obscured until after the purchase. In saying that, most "obscure" views actually aren't in my experience. Like a few years ago I had "obscured" tickets for Bruno Mars and it was just a side view and arguably one of the best views I've had of a stage lmao.
Taylor's Work Hours: I both agree and disagree with this. In general celebs get paid too much so I agree with that part. Likewise, I've always found the idea that she's "so brave" for continuing on with tour atm to be weird because like all of us do that in our day to day lives with our jobs and other commitments (unless we physically can't for whatever reason). In saying that, every job is more difficult in some ways and less in others. Tbh this debate reminds me of the fact my mother always thinks my jobs aren't "real" because my brother is a blue collar worker and when I've worked I've been a pink/white collar worker and while yes, his job (bartender) is more physical than mine (admin positions) will most likely ever be, my last job (receptionist at a psychological medical centre during a pandemic) was far more emotionally draining because I spent 7 - 12 hours a day listening and responding to trauma non stop. Like as someone who has done both blue and pink/white collar jobs, I can honestly say that on the most part, blue was less exhausting and a lot of my friends (both who have done both and who saw me do both) agree. And in many ways Taylor deals with both of these. Like to promote her album she kinda has to bare her soul constantly, especially because she's built her brand off of being relatable. And then with tour she's gotta be fitter than I ever will be and maintain that lmao. There's also a lot of work that celebs (and especially ones like Taylor that manages most of her career, only allowing a small team to help with certain stuff) do that we don't see. Like even if she's not working on TS11/the rerecordings atm (which I'd wager she is working on both), Taylor is not only working 9 hours a week at the moment. She's likely working as many hours as a regular person. Obviously she has the benefit of flexibility that most of us don't both in terms of hours and not having to work at all if she so chose, but yeah I'd argue that even if there was some way to prove that she doesn't work as hard, it would still be a closer call than most people think.
Midnights: So there's two parts to this. In general I agree that Midnights is not my favourite work from her, especially sonically and especially the standard edition (which is what Jack primarily worked on with the 3am songs being a mix of him and Aaron with some others). Like it reminds me of 1989 in that way. However, I don't think any of it is cringey. To be honest, I'm going to assume that you are younger than Taylor and I because in my experience the cringey vs not seems to be a gen z (people born 1996 - now) vs millennial or older (born 1995 or before) thing. Vigilante Shit is peak millennial tbh and while I cannot go into it (for legal reasons) as someone going through a situation where that song resonates, it hit from the first listen lmao. The line from Mastermind you used just sounds like something a villain would say and given she made it clear that that's the vibe she was going for (at least sonically) with the chorus, I think it fits really well. Tbh I don't understand why people find Paris cringey at all. Like it's just a cute love song, no different than Sweet Nothing or Call It What You Want. Same with that Karma line. Like she's just saying that Karma will decree the ruling that it sees fit and its word is final/there's no escaping it which is the theme of the song as a whole but especially the bridge. So the sexy baby line is not cringey but clunky to me. Like it's trying to say so much at once, and again, uses millennial references that went over a lot of people's head at first (even ones like me because I never watched 30 Rock lmao). Like I just don't think there was ever going to be a way to say all that which flowed well in my honest opinion.
But ultimately it's fine that you find stuff weird as a fan. I couldn't tell you anyone in a fandom space that doesn't find at least something weird about that particular fandom.
#taylor swift#i do have more thoughts on midnights in general because i listened to it in full for the first time since the split today#but i'm not coherent enough to explain the changes i felt atm tbh so i'll circle back to it another time

Pit Babe episode 9 rewatch/live commentary (part 1)
I guess that this is their thing now, driving together at night
Yes you will !!
I love their love for each other
Hiii North, Hiiii Sonic
One of this day, i gonna do a full rewatch, where i just focus on people hands.....
And this is how Alan house became the Pack Home.....if only the whole "Pack dynamic" coud be included in season two.....or just a little mention of it.
Way really cannot control his facial expression when it comes to Charlie
Charlie helping North and Sonic
ouh jumpscare
Because he loooooooves you !
For people who are not only very much invested but also very observant when it comes to others love life, those two are so blind (or at least pretend to be blind) when it comes to their relationship
The way they look at each other
North is so happy
Also, good job from the make up teams when it comes to bruise and injuries. And whoever choose Dean and Kim wardrobe, i love you
Why is no one more worried about Jeff disappearance ??? Even if he's a loner....
Charlie asking the real question
For sure Alan....and i guess you would have conveniently "forgotten" to invite anyone else
Charlie knows what going on...He's basically saying "Go for it Uncle"
Let the poor boy go
Also , why the fuck did he go alone ???? And why Charlie isn't running around like an headless chicken trying to find him ???
Gross, just gross
Yeah ! Go save the children Pete
And i guess he got his jacket back
Babe, you need to learn to listen to people before jumping to conclusion
And to make thing worse, there is even a gradation for those kids.....
So Way wasn't aware that Pete was also an enigma ... But was Pete aware of Way subgender ?
it's Kenta's, probably
Oh no
As much as i hate Way, he does look scared when Tony's touch is face, almost like he expect Tony to strike him
How quickly Way face change when Babe turn to look at his phone
Prime exemple of an "Oh shit" face
I can't even imagine what was going through Babe's mind during the ride to Way appartement, if he was awake
Va crever Way !
How can you say that??? How delusional can you be to still think that what Tony says is the truth ?? And that Babe will what ? Magically fall in love with you ?
Nothing much, really, he just lay there with his legs open and pop out babies like a fucking broodmare....That the most incel rhetoric i have ever heard in a BL
How can someone bare to do that to the person they claim to love.....
The fear and clear disgust on Babe face......The fact that even if he wants to fight his own body "betray" him
You already doing it Way
The wet sound of Way kisses make everything even more disgusting
Bear with me for a second, but i firmly believe that, if Way had gone all the way and then brought Babe back to Tony....Babe would have stopped fighting. To much pain and betrayal in a too short period of time
I imagine Charlie running to Alan asking for Way adresse and then taking his car
With how Way phrased his order... for a few second i feared that Charlie could not wake up
That's not love Way
And Babe really did trust Way more than anyone else
He would never have stopped, that's what make everything even more tragic. But Way is to desperate, wanting to protect the team and have Babe for himself, to see that.
I'm not defending or trying to excuse Way's actions. While being a victim of Tony's abuse can explain Way' though process and why he think that his plan is the best, it will never, ever excuse being an abuser/rap*st/manipulator.
Did he really think that Tony would have stopped after one kid ? Or that he would have left Way as the only enigma to breed Babe ?
Babe loved him so much.......
This is starting to get long, i will probably make part for this EP
#pit babe the series#charliebabe#pitbabeanniversary#alanjeff#winnerdean#northsonic#kentakim#peteway#I dreaded making the commentary for this ep#and THAT scene in particular

Ok ,anybody ask for that and I probably shouldn't make that my first tumbler post but here is my list of magic against modern guns and who would win in my opinion:
#1 Kane chronicles(riordanverse): would win like easy, Cast a simple spell is just a litlle more slower than trigger a gun and the effects are extremely powerfull when compared with any personal weaponry and the complex spells are a lot slower than high military tech but just lose in fire power to a atomic gun.
#2 fairies magic(hollyblackverse): the regular fae lose against guns without direct human control(drones and similars) or a lot of humans they with machine guns they depend a lot of direct contact to cast the spells but the very powerful fairies gain against atomic bombs and entire arms they are basically nature forces in """"human"""" bodies
#3 Harry Potter(jkrollingverse):It's complicated if is the magic level of the original saga will lost against any fire arm because to cast a spell need to say a entire word and need to be perfectly pronounced and effect don't is that good they usually just affect one person or object while guns are fast and can emulate two of the three unforgivable curses. Now if we consider the magic level of the fantastic beasts saga the witches won because they dont need to pronounce to cast and the spells have a wide effect than the spells from the original saga so they probably they can maybe lose to high military tech and just absolut lose to atomic bombs
#4 court of thorns and rose(sarahjayverse):it is a curious case because the feys would absolutely lose against low and high guns because the speed and destruction power but win against midle guns(tanks and aircrafts that aren't sonic... ) also because the speed
#5 land of stories: win against anything that isn't a nuclear bomb and maybe against that too but just the big individuals the normal witch and fairy will meet dificulty maybe lost again because the correlation between speed and effect the magic here for the common spell people is slow with terrific effects while the great people there are fast with terrific effects.
Sorry if was vague and simplistic I tried to avoid spoilers and i don't know very well make arguments without exemples
#books#authors#reading#how much magic is better?#I love fantasy books#I also love expanded universes when they are well made
