ok so like many people didn't appreciate how magical backup was portrayed in the finale, both because it felt like Peri was mostly being portrayed as a joke throughout the entirety of it and that it just. freaked me out a bit? so i did this small doodle of what i would've done a little bit after it aired i think

some other ideas i thought of after drawing it is that magic would leak out in other ways besides vomitting, like through tears and sweating. if the fairy had access to the ability to use magic, they'd also start frantically casting spells to try and remedy it, entirely out of control (this might probably be late stage? shrug)

they'll still get delirious (which gets worse over time the worse and worse it gets) but since this is something i figure only happens to godparents, one thing they'll consistently think about even when they're like this? their godkid.

as for that scene where Dev finally realizes Peri cares for him, i think if Peri looked more like this it would've really hit more? like the guy is *literally dying* BECAUSE of this kid, and yet, even while completely unaware of his surroundings, he still wants to "do right by him" because he has always cared about this

i think it would also be a little better if Peri was aware enough to *kind* of have a proper conversation with him with some actual intent in the words he says, i think it'd be nice if *he* brung up Dale for Cosmo and Wanda to continue off of to call Dev out on what he *really* wants

Stepping onto my soapbox to talk more about my SVSSS > MDZS crossover AU, as mentioned here --- I really need to find and/or make a timeline of the Sunshot Campaign to properly plot it out, but highlights include:

MDZS is a real, tangible novel series in the world Shen Yuan & Airplane are from. They’ve both read it.

Shen Qingqiu & Luo Binghe get dropped much earlier into the MDZS timeline than the others -- upon figuring out when/where they are, SQQ asks Luo Binghe if he wants to adopt a small child. No reason. >>;;

(That child is Xue Yang. We’re meddling.)

Per headcanon I have for this version of SVSSS, Tianlang-Jun’s [Sun-Moon Mushroom] body was stabilized and restored. So, most of his back & torso are covered in various seals / arrays meant to keep it from deteriorating again.

Per his own insistence & as a gesture of good faith towards the monks who saved him, the seals are tied to an oath -- Should he intentionally kill a human being, the seals would come undone.

(Tianlang-Jun isn’t terribly worried, though it does make navigating a such a large-scale human war challenging.)

On a lighter note: Shang Qinghua & Mobei-Jun intercept Meng Yao shortly after he receives the letter of recommendation from Nie Mingjue.

After a little convincing... they proceed to play 5D Chess with the War Effort, [eventually] ending the war early because--

Shang Qinghua’s first instinct upon arriving in the MDZS world is to convince Mobei-Jun that they should totally usurp Wen Ruohan for funsies. :)

(As far as Mobei-Jun is concerned, this is his engagement gift to Shang Qinghua)

what does Minnie's cutie mark mean?

its based off an incident that occurred before she immigrated to ricks dimension and planet. She is originally from a royal/noble family in a fantasy type dimension (picture like the underworld but with more infrastructure), and she was assassinated but brought back to life by necromancy magic which she then inherited the ability to use.

So basically its just Horse Skull = Necromancy

Hewo,,,,I was wondering if you had any writings tips! Where did you learn your craft? Do you have a favourite author?

Ooh man, my answers to this are probably gonna be kinda disappointing ghfgd. I’m pretty much entirely self taught for fun and I don’t read as much as I wish I did nowadays. I like to try and match the way I write to the time period the scene’s setting is closest to. So a lot of my stuff ends up sounding flowery and old fashioned.

I’ve been wanting to find the time to start reading more because that’s one of the best ways to refine how you write, seeing what other people are doing. But for now, what I do is just look back at things I wrote a while ago and pick apart what I like and don’t like about it and what I wanna do with that in the future. It’s easier once you get some distance from something to look at it objectively.

I’m honored you’d think to ask but I’m truly the worst person to give tips bc I barely know what im doing gjfgd. I feel confident in writing character scenes with heightened intense emotions but everything else is a bit of a struggle. And I’m not even sure how to put into words what my process is even for the stuff I’m confident with.
