Just a Star trek Vulcan vs Human anatomy, something something, blah
Am the only one who really wants a show, or like small skits, about comparative anatomy and physiology of humans and vulcans? In a way that looks very realistic and is accurate to actual human anatomy.
I watch anatomy videos a lot, with real cadavers, and I think about this often; how interesting and entertaining it'd be if they could compare to vulcans.

Letant: No way my child (4 Yr Old Half-Romulan/Human) is having straight bangs
Y/N: Really Husband! May I remind you we also have Vulcan and Klingon children . So our child can have whatever shaped bangs he wants. (Cuts it straight because her baby boy told her he wants to be like his three older brothers)
Letant sees it the next day and cuts it to make it v-shaped(so he looks like a mini him)
Y/N’s kid cries to her about it. She tries to fix it, cuts it straight again and both parents go back and forth until their kid has micro bangs that looks like he has a receeding hairline. His forehead looks so prominent.
Letant & Y/N feel bad and promises him and each other never to cut his hair again. They acquiescence to whatever their child wants due to their guilt without knowing how sneaky their child really is..
Y/N’s kid goes to his Fourth brother and high fives him since he got the haircut he really wanted(a style showing off his small forehead ridge becuase he wants to become Klingon).
The next day their four older children tell Y/N & Letant what their youngest brother did!
Y/N: That little shit, I am mad but impressed. Thats your child Letant, you deal with him.
Letant: (smirks internally) He’s a natural….Goes to congratulate his youngest and maybe teach him some more tactics. The guys would be proud(thinking about telling Vreenak,Koval, & maybe Hiren)…
Their older children(Solok-16,Taurik &Vorik-11 & Mek(OC Klingon)-10): Mother is going to kill step-samehk/vav (shaking their heads).
Uncle Sy:(comes out of nowhere) What did I miss?
Current thoughts on a Romulan/Vulcan couple raising a (mostly) Human child:
The two parents getting into a disagreement on what kind of bangs the kid should have (straight vs v-shaped) so the Romulan will cut their bangs v-shaped, the Vulcan will cut more off to make them straight, so the Romulan cuts even more off to make them v-shaped again, etc etc etc till v quickly the kid has really shitty looking micro bangs and doesn’t trust either parent near their hair for a long time

Lowkey offended that we didn't get to see Garak in Take Me Out To The Holosuite. I want to see him being forced to make the Niners their uniform and wailing about how ugly it is.
He would totally claim he wasn't going to come watch, but then he would.
I want to see him showing up to ominously watch their performance. I want him yelling useless advice at Bashir from the stands. I want to see him encouraging them to commit fouls. I want an already aggressive Worf to be getting even more hyped up by Garak's suggestions. I want him whispering poison in Sisko's ear in the stands...this Solok seems quite irritating Captain, would you like me to do something about that? No? What a shame, are you sure?

DS9 Solok x Fem!Reader
Warnings: Slow burn (eventual smut, I promise), vulcan x human, vulcan superiority complex (?), angst, a lot of tension. THIS CHAPTER MIGHT HURT SLIGHTLY.
Summary: Assigned to assist Captain Solok on a research project meant to prove Vulcan superiority, a human officer disrupts his views.

Chapter 3: Disruption
[ SOLOK POV ]
Solok sat in the dim solitude of his quarters, fingers steepled, eyes closed. The hum of the ship was distant, a background presence he had learned long ago to tune out. Meditation required focus. Control. It was the foundation of Vulcan discipline.
And yet…
He exhaled slowly. His mind should have been empty. He should have been contemplating the principles of logic, reinforcing his mental fortitude. Instead, an image surfaced—her.
It was intolerable.
Your face, your voice, the way you stood so defiantly before him, refusing to yield to his dismissal. The way your hands had moved with such precision as you worked, utterly absorbed in the task before you. The way your uniform fit against your—
Solok’s eyes snapped open, his jaw tightening.
Illogical. Unacceptable.
Yet, no matter how many times he pushed the thought away, it returned. The memory of your fingers brushing against his own, the electric jolt that had shot up his spine, the way you had looked at him afterward, as if you had noticed something shift within him.
His breath was steady, controlled, but inside, something had shifted – something he could not rationalize.
He had spent years reinforcing the superiority of Vulcan intellect, the weakness of human sentiment. And yet, here he was, in his own quarters, unable to silence the intrusive thoughts of you.
Your eyes, sharp and filled with challenge. Your lips, curling into that insufferable smirk whenever you caught him off guard. The way you carried yourself – so at ease in your imperfection, so maddeningly confident despite your human shortcomings.
He had dismissed you. Removed you from the project to prove his point. And yet, you had refused to leave quietly. You had proven him wrong. Again.
And somehow… somehow, that was more captivating than it had any right to be.
Solok exhaled sharply, pushing to his feet.
Meditation was impossible.
This would not do. He needed to regain control of his thoughts. The illogic of the situation was clear—dwelling on an anomaly did not serve him. A distraction would be required.
Without another word, he exited his quarters, his steps measured, purposeful. But instead of returning to the bridge or the research lab, he found himself heading toward the observation deck. Not the one commonly used by the crew—no, he required solitude. There was a hidden section, tucked away near the secondary hull, where the stars stretched endlessly before him, undisturbed by the presence of others.
It was foolish, perhaps, but the quiet expanse of space had always aided in recalibrating his thoughts.
As the doors hissed open, he stepped into the dimly lit deck, the vastness of the cosmos spreading before him. He clasped his hands behind his back, inhaling slowly, forcing his mind to align with reason.
And yet, even here, in the cold silence of the void, your presence lingered.
This was… concerning.
[ READER POV ]
You lay on your bed, staring at the ceiling, arms folded behind your head. The soft hum of the ship’s systems filled the quiet of your quarters, but it wasn’t enough to lull you to sleep.
Because he wouldn’t leave your mind.
Solok.
That smug, infuriating, impossible Vulcan.
You exhaled sharply, rolling onto your side. You had never cared much for his opinion, but something about the way he had looked at you tonight... No, not looked, observed – it stuck with you. That unreadable expression, the way he had hesitated before speaking, as if struggling against something. And then that damned touch.
It had been brief, but not forgettable. His hand had jerked away as if burned, and for just a fraction of a second, something had flickered in his gaze.
And that shouldn’t have mattered to you.
But it did.
You groaned, pressing the heels of your palms into your eyes. This was ridiculous. You had sparred with Vulcans in debates before, had clashed with arrogant officers, had gone toe to toe with men and women who thought themselves superior. None of them had ever made your heart race the way it had when Solok looked at you like that.
You turned again, punching your pillow, willing sleep to come. It didn’t.
With a sigh, you sat up, running a hand through your hair. If sleep wasn’t happening, maybe a walk would help. It has to. The ship was quiet this time of night, most of the crew off duty. Maybe you’d grab some tea, clear your head, and let it go.
Dressed in casual off-duty wear, you slipped out into the corridors, walking aimlessly, letting the ship’s soft, pulsing lights guide you. It was strangely peaceful – until you found yourself near an observation deck.
You paused, glancing at the entrance. You hadn’t meant to come here, but something tugged at you.
The doors hissed open, and that’s when you saw him.
Solok stood near the vast stretch of reinforced glass, his back to you, hands clasped behind him. The stars illuminated him in soft silver light, casting sharp shadows along the contours of his face, his shoulders. He looked almost… regal like this. Still, composed – except for the tension in his stance.
For some reason, you didn’t think he had come here for peace.
You leaned against the doorframe, crossing your arms – “Couldn’t sleep either, huh?”
He stiffened slightly – so slightly that if you weren’t watching him closely, you might not have noticed. But you were watching him closely.
He didn’t turn immediately. Instead, he said – “I did not expect company.”
You smirked – “I’ll take that as a ‘leave me alone.’”
A pause. Then – “Your assumptions are often flawed.”
The silence between you stretched. For a moment, you thought Solok might walk away, retreat behind that unshakable Vulcan logic and dismiss you the way he always did so before he could do that you'd do it yourself, you shifted to start walking away.
“Stay.” – Solok said.
You blinked – “...what?”
He glanced at you, his expression as composed as ever, but there was a deliberateness in his voice – “You sought clarity here. As did I. It would be… inefficient to abandon the attempt.”
You studied him for a moment. His posture was rigid, his hands still neatly clasped behind his back, but there was something in his stance that felt less like cold dismissal and more like uncertainty.
Solok was second-guessing himself. That is new.
“…alright” you said finally, stepping closer to the viewport.
For a moment, neither of you spoke.
Then you asked – “Do Vulcans ever get overwhelmed?”
Solok glanced at you then. A brief flicker of his bright eyes, before they returned to the stars. “Vulcans do not experience emotion as humans do.”
“That wasn’t my question.”
Another pause. Longer this time.
Then, softly – “We do not get overwhelmed. But there are moments where clarity is… elusive.”
You tilted your head, watching him. That was the closest he’d ever come to admitting something bothered him.
“That's why you’re here?”
He didn’t answer. But he didn’t deny it either.
You studied him in the quiet. His sharp features, the way the starlight played along his face. You had always thought him severe – too rigid, too caught up in his own logic. But here, in this moment, he looked almost… conflicted. As if something was weighing on him.
And somehow, impossibly, you wanted to be the one to shake it loose.
“Why do you think so little of humans?” – You asked.
Solok turned his head slightly, studying you with that calculating gaze – “I do not think ‘little’ of humans. I merely acknowledge their limitations.”
You scoffed – “That’s just a fancy way of saying you look down on us.”
His brow arched slightly – “It is an assessment based on logic and evidence.”
“And yet, here I am, standing beside you. You haven’t dismissed me yet.”
He didn’t answer immediately. You watched as something shifted behind his eyes, something careful and measured.
“You are… competent” he admitted, as if the words were a reluctant concession.
You smiled – “High praise, coming from you.”
He exhaled through his nose, an almost-sigh, the closest thing to amusement you had ever heard from him – “Your species is unpredictable. Emotionally volatile. Often reckless.”
“And yet?”
A pause – “And yet, you persist.”
You tilted your head, intrigued – “That sounds almost like admiration, Captain.”
He turned away, eyes back on the stars – “It is merely an observation.”
You let the silence settle again, but something had shifted. There was no hostility, no smug superiority... just curiosity. A reluctant, undeniable curiosity.
Solok found himself watching you again, though this time, his thoughts strayed to… other matters.
Your off-duty attire was different from the standard uniform – sleek, fitted, yet entirely appropriate. And yet, his gaze traced the contours of your figure, lingering in places it should not.
His mind refused to discard you.
You were standing beside him, speaking something about humans, their adaptability, their resilience but the words barely registered. He should have been listening, offering some cutting remark or logical rebuttal, but his focus had splintered, pulled toward something far more illogical.
The curve of your throat. The delicate dip at the base of it, where his gaze lingered longer than it should.
The subtle rise and fall of your chest as you breathed, the way the soft fabric of your off-duty attire shifted with each movement. It was form-fitting, designed for comfort, but to him, it was an invitation to thoughts that had no place in his mind.
His eyes traced lower – swiftly, efficiently, cataloging details with an almost scientific precision. The way the material hugged your waist, accentuating proportions that were… fascinating. The slope of your hips, the defined shape of your legs. It was all there, presented so casually, so unknowingly, and yet his mind seized on it, unwilling to let go.
He could imagine– no.
His jaw tightened. He forced his hands to remain clasped behind his back, resisting the inexplicable urge to reach forward, to test the warmth of your skin beneath his fingers.
He was being undisciplined.
And yet, he wondered if he stepped closer, would you notice the shift in his breathing? Would you tilt your head just so, granting him a better view of the exposed line of your neck? If he allowed himself the indulgence of touch, would you–
“You know” you said lightly – “for someone so committed to proving Vulcan superiority, you sure spend a lot of time watching me.”
His gaze snapped to yours, unreadable but sharp – “I do not—”
You scoffed – “You do.”
His lips parted slightly, as if preparing a rebuttal, but none came. Instead, he exhaled through his nose, his eyes narrowing slightly, as if calculating his next move.
But you didn’t let him find an escape.
You leaned in, lowering your voice – “What are you trying so hard not to think about, Captain?”
His throat moved in a slow swallow.
You shouldn’t have enjoyed this so much – seeing him hesitate, seeing that carefully constructed wall of his crack, just a little. But you did. Because for all his smugness, for all his logical superiority Solok was not unaffected.
Solok did not realize he had moved closer.
It was not a conscious decision. It was not premeditated. It was not logical.
And yet, there he was... so near to you that the warmth of your body seeped into his own, your scent filling his senses, your breath feathering against his skin.
He should have stepped back. He should have reasserted control, reinforced his discipline, reminded himself that this was not what he wanted.
But he did want. Instead, he inhaled.
The scent of you – subtle, sweet, provocative – washed over him and something inside him stirred. It was primal, instinctual, something buried deep within the Vulcan biology he had spent a lifetime mastering.
He exhaled slowly, as if testing the way your presence affected him. His hand hovered just shy of your hip, his other curling at his side as if physically restraining himself from something he dared not name.
“This is… troubling” he murmured, his voice unusually low.
You stiffened, but you did not pull away – “...what is?”
His gaze flickered to your throat, to the gentle pulse there. His fingers twitched. He could feel the heat of your skin, so close, so tempting.
He was losing his senses.
And yet, for the first time in his life, he did not care.
“You are… a suitable mate” – the words slipping from his mouth before he could stop them.
Silence.
He felt the sharp intake of your breath, the way your body got warmer under the weight of his statement. He should not have said it. It was too much, too intimate, too–
His chest rose and fell, his control unraveling thread by thread. His gaze traced the shape of your jaw, the curve of your lips, the way your eyes searched his as if trying to understand how.
Then, like a sudden jolt, clarity struck him.
A human.
He was losing his senses over a human.
His breath hitched, and he wrenched himself back so suddenly it felt like tearing himself from a force he could not name.
His hands clenched at his sides, his expression shifting from something dangerously unguarded to something terrified.
“I—” He swallowed, voice unsteady, then hardened – “This is unacceptable.”
You blinked, confusion flashing in your eyes. “What...?”
He straightened, fists tight, his mind racing to rebuild the walls that had just come crashing down.
“I am losing my senses” he said, his voice colder than before, sharper – “Because of a human”
He had not meant to say it. But it was true.
The moment the words left his mouth, he knew his mistake.
Your expression changed – shock, then hurt, then something unreadable.
You stepped back. The warmth between you vanished.
“…I see” you said quietly. Your tone was steady, but he could hear the tension beneath it, the sting of his words.
He had wounded you.
The realization struck him deeper than he anticipated.
You exhaled sharply, shaking your head as if to clear it, then turned on your heel and walked away.
He did not stop you.
Because if he did, if he said anything else... he was afraid he might betray himself again.
Solok did not move.
He stood frozen, his body rigid, his hands still clenched at his sides as he watched you walk away.
Your face, your expression – it was burned into his mind. The flicker of hurt in your eyes, the subtle way your lips pressed together, the faint tremor in your breath before you turned from him.
His chest ached.
A strange, foreign sensation gripped him.. something deep, something wrong. A tightness in his ribs, a sting in his very core that logic could not explain.
You were hurt.
Because of him.
The thought sent a wave of deep, gnawing anguish through his mind.
He had wanted you. That was the undeniable truth. His instincts had taken hold, his control had faltered, and he had let slip the one thing he had spent his entire life avoiding.
But you were human.
That had been his justification, his final defense. If he did not acknowledge it, if he refused to let it manifest, it would cease to exist.
Wouldn’t it?
But as he stood there, unmoving, watching you disappear down the corridor, he felt it linger.
He felt you linger.
And for the first time in his life, he hated his own logic.
[ · · · ]
You reached your quarters, locking the door behind you before pressing your back against it.
Your breathing was shaky. Your hands trembled at your sides.
And then, finally, your composure broke.
Tears welled in your eyes, slipping down your cheeks as you brought a hand up to your mouth, stifling the sound of your own heartbreak.
You understood now.
Solok did have feelings for you. He had wanted you, even if only for a moment. His hesitation, his nearness, the way his breath had lingered at your throat – it had all been real.
But in the end, it hadn’t mattered.
Because you were human.
And he could not bring himself to choose you.
A quiet sob escaped your lips, barely audible in the silence of your quarters.
You had never thought it would hurt this much.

Romantic Solok HCs:
A/N: I do sort of like it when he's rude to me. Hopefully, that's a psychological defect than a weird sexual thing. WHY WAS HE IN ONLY ONE EPISODE? WHY?
Prompt: Romantic Solok HCs
Tumblr media
GIF by deepspacedukat
This man has a face you want to slap and kiss all at the same time.
No one knows why he seemed to like you more than anyone else on the station, not even you.
The two of you first met it was during the baseball game.
You had spent most of your time absentmindedly flirting with him as a way to get into his head.
"Hey," You whispered from your catcher's position.
"Are those space pants?"
"Because your butt looks out of this world."
<(¬////¬)> (Apparently, it did, a little too well.)
Who knew he would be a sucker for cheesy Earth pickup lines.
After that, he would return to DS9 for a variety of reasons. (Never to see you.)
No matter how hard you tried to hide around the station, he would somehow always find you.
He would bombard you with questions, (brag) inform you about his latest achievements and upcoming missions, and occasionally point out how you could improve your own work. (Charming)
If you were invited to the T'Kumbra to do repairs, he would constantly follow you around.
At first, you thought it was because you were a human on his ship.
During one of your visits to the T'Kumbra, you were squeezed into a crawl space, and Captain Solok was standing outside.
"Have you thought about transferring off of Deep Space Nine? It seems as if you could do better elsewhere."
You were confused, was that a compliment?
He further elaborates, "You would be able to rank up faster on a starship, possibly to Chief Engineer."
Was he offering to transfer you to his ship?
You quickly finish your work, pull yourself out of the wall, and politely as possible excuse yourself.
You disappear back onto DS9 where you begin to question his sudden strange behavior.
He wasn't able to wait for your answer, but that wasn't the last you heard from him either.
Soon you were getting messages of a rather personal nature from him.
He would send you offers of transfer, as well as Vulcan poetry, books, and even music.
When he did return to DS9 after his latest mission he didn't even bother meeting with Sisko first.
He pinned you at Quark's and demanded to speak with you, privately.
Before you could reply he was dragging you back to the T'Kumbra and into his private quarters.
He then had a complete (Vulcan) meltdown.
"Why have you not answered my request? Do you not understand how rare this opportunity is?" His voice was so calm it was scary.
"I have tried to prove that this ship, that," He paused and swallowed hard, "That I am worthy of your time."
Solok, who believed that Vulcans were superior to their Human counterparts, was trying to convince you, that he was good enough.
You would have thought you were dreaming if it wasn't for the small pinch you gave yourself.
He reached his hand out to you in the Vulcan kiss, hoping you would reciprocate.
When you pressed your fingers to his, you saw his whole face light up green.
"You bring out my most illogical traits, Koh-nar."

Why me?
Solok smut/fluff
Warning:
When I got transferred to a Vulcan ran starship I had no clue what I was up for. Especially as an accident prone human. My first day I spilt coffee all over my uniform in front of Captain Solok.
Oh, Captain Solok. That Vulcan has an air around him. He has complete control over his ship and respect from every single Vulcan on the ship. Oh and love from one clumsy human. Not that I could ever tell him.
Since I work on the bridge, I have to see and talk to him all the time. Even though talking didn’t really happen outside of work. Its kinda eerie quiet around the ship.
The day started out usual just standing and working on my consul. Just as I was passing the captain’s chair right as another ship attacked us out of no where. Which apparently wasn’t bad enough because the bump from the other ships gun sent me flying into Solok’s lap. We stared at each other before I jumped up and ran to my station.
After an hour of fighting we sent the ship back to their home in bad shape. We all got switched out for our off duty hours and a small meeting about the battle. After the meeting I was told to stay back. After the doors shut behind the last Vulcan Solok stood in front of me.
“I would like to discuss the situation that happened earlier.” His eyebrow raised as he calculated his next words.
“Sir, I am so sorry. That was a complete accident. I lost my footing when the ship attacked.” I was rambling when he cut me off.
“I am not upset with you. It was apparent that you had not meant to. What I was gonna say is that we have been from Vulcan for seven years now. I am sure you were informed of pon farr before being put on this ship.” I nodded.
“Yes, Sir. I was told about a few different things about Vulcan tradition.”
“As captain I am quite aware of the Vulcans that are entering Pon Farr. It is quite a few of them. The reason I am informing on this is that Vulcans change when under the effect of Pon Farr and I would like you to watch out for yourself. I don’t want another transfer.”
“I will watch my back captain. You have no reason to worry about me.”
“I better not. You are dismissed for your shift.” I nodded and took my leave.
I went back to my quarters. As I walked past Vulcans , I wondered who was gonna be under Pon Farr. I realized I was gonna have to change my off hours schedule.
As I entered my quarters I noticed someone was there already.
“Hello Volkic.”
“Hello, I am sorry for invading your privacy but I had to make you aware of something that I heard.”
“Go on.”
“I was walking by Selvik and I heard him saying he was going to try to mate with you. I didn’t want you to be caught off guard.” Volkic always had ways to show he cares for his friends, but I didn’t think he’d get in between another’s Pon Farr to protect me.
“Did you tell the captain? He seemed very concerned with safety on the ship.”
“Of course I did. Though he is concerned it seems he won’t do much to interfere unless someone is hurt.”
“Thank you for telling me. I will keep an eye out for him.” With that Volkic excused himself and left my quarters.
I sat in my room until I thought I might go insane. I had to leave. I open the door and look around a bit and step out to go to the small bar we have on board. As soon as I take two steps down the hallway I hear my name being called. I turn and see Selvik.
“Hello Selvik.”
“Hello, I have a proposal for you.”
“I overheard your plan and while I am entirely flattered I do not see you as anything more than a friend.” He looked a bit sad.
“I had no idea you had heard. I apologize if I have offended you.”
“You have not. I am sorry and I hope that you find someone else.” He nodded and walked away.
While I felt bad for lying to him, I couldn’t tell him that Volkic had told me. It would create chaos. I would just lay way lower maybe just get fun stuff to stay in my quarters. I quickly turned to run back to my quarters when I ran into a chest. I looked up.
“Hello, is everything alright?” Solok looked down at me.
“Yes, Sir. I am just grabbing a few things and going back to my quarters.” I smiled hoping he didn’t see that I was still shaken from my last conversation.
“Good, if you don’t mind I would like to accompany you to your quarters. After your last conversation I think it would be best if you have a guard around you when you are off duty.”
I knew I couldn’t tell my captain no so I nodded and I grabbed what i needed to and off we went back to my quarters.
“Am I gonna get you as my guard all the time?” Even though I knew he couldn’t I still liked being around him.
“I do wish I could. Seeing myself that my crew is safe is my number one priority. Though I can’t as I have many responsibilities on the ship.”
“I understand.” We walked in silence to my door when I turned around to thank him, he was inches from my face.
“You smell different.” I looked confused. I hadn’t changed my perfume.
“I don’t think I should. Nothing has changed in my daily routine.”
“I apologize, I must be getting back to the bridge.” He just about ran away. I had no clue what had happened. I closed my quarter’s door and laid down on my bed.
As I entered the bridge, I asked my number one what I had missed.
“Nothing Sir, everything has been normal since you left.”
“Thank you, I would like to speak with you on a pressing matter.” He nodded and we walked into a smaller area just off the bridge. It was a room we used for meetings involving higher ups.
“What would you like to discuss Captain.”
“Can I ask what’s wrong?”
“Personal reasons. I will start my leave now. So until I say so you are acting Captain.”
“Yes Sir.” We both walked out and I walked to my quarters.
I normally have no problem going past her door. But now as Pon Farr is rattling my brain I find myself almost forced to knock on it.
I heard a knock on my door and wondered who it could be. Vulcans aren’t known for making random visits. I opened the door to find Solok there.
“Hello, Captain. What can I do for you? Would you like to come in?” I smiled in slight surprise.
“Yes please.” I moved so he could enter.
I looked at him waiting for his reason to be here but it seemed he too was confused as to why he was here.
“What is wrong Captain? You look a bit confused.”
“I would like to mate with you.” My eyes widened as the realization hit me. The reason he was acting unusual was because Pon Farr had started with him.
“I am not sure what to say.”
“Let me prove to be a good mate before you give me your answer.”
“I have my answer already.” He looked almost scared of what I could say.
“If you are sure then go ahead.”
“Yes.”
“Yes?”
“Yes, I don’t quite know what I need to do but if you run me through it, I will gladly be your mate.”
He put his hand up to my face and said something (I was so nervous that I completely missed what it was) and i could see me. From his eyes. His memory.
“Do you remember this?” He showed me the first day on the ship when i turned from the replicator with an iced coffee and ran into his chest spilling it on him and on myself. My cheeks flushed with embarrassment as they had when it had happened.
Not only could I see the memories but I could feel his emotions. I could feel the confusion when we collided. There was something else lingering but I couldn’t quite understand.
“Protectiveness. For some reason from that moment I started to notice you. And how clumsy you can be. It made me almost too protective of you. Like I have to look after you.”
To feel what he feels almost overwhelmed me. It swirled around me. It clung to my heart. I looked through his eyes and I felt his love, his adoration for me.
“I-I don’t know how to say how I am feeling.”
“You don’t have to, just as you feel my emotions, i feel yours.” He leaned in and kissed me. I opened my mouth as he pulled away but he stopped me.
He got down on his knees and put his face into my hip. I was confused as to what he was doing until i heard a sniff. He could smell that i was aroused. He looked up at me and almost begged.
“I need to be inside of you. I need to feel you around me.” The sight of Solok on his knees turned me on more than i could ever imagine.
“Yes, please.” I whined. I knew i sounded pathetic but i didn’t care at the time all i cared about was him.
He immediately jumped up. Looking into his eyes they were now dark. Almost commanding, dominating even.
He pushed me on the bed and without hesitation or warning he entered me. I moaned at the feeling of being stretched. He was hitting every spot and making me seeing stars.
He kept whispering Vulcan in my ear with every thrust. His grip on me was almost as if he was scared i would’ve vanish if he let go. With one last thrust we both let go. Almost moaning in unison. I looked at him.
“What were you saying?”
“I was telling you i love you and would never leave you.”
I smiled at that answer. I was so lucky that i fell in love with Solok. And even luckier that he fell in love with me.
Captain’s log:
Hey, sorry it took so long for this story to come out. Between wifi problems and my daughter’s first birthday, i was having so many troubles getting everything done. I hope yall like it.

Why is Solok a captain? He is racist against humans I don't understand any of his logic. How did Starfleet Academy allow him to graduate? Why is he allowed to command a starship?
I may be half Romulan but I'll be more a Vulcan than he ever could wish to be
Tumblr media
Additionally, if it were up to me I would have him remove the usage of the IDIC form his baseball uniform. It does not suit him for one who could possibly believe in any form of superiority to any other race. Infinite diversities? in what, a team and crew of ONLY Vulcans?Preposterous as it is inconceivable considering the logic, of which there is none.
He is a bastard and a motherfucker and If I had the power I would force Solok into immediate resignation. What a bitch. If this is what the humans call "starting beef" then consider this "well done."
We will meet at the diamond and mark my words Captain Solok, you will know humbleness through defeat, for I am The Photon Torpedo.

shame the fandom never understand that Solok is in love with Sisko. I know why.. If Sisko was white, all the yaoi fangirl (spirk and others)would ship him with Solok.

I'm still stuck on the Solok train.
That man needs an honest and genuine friend, and a fucking hug.
Since he seems to fixate on Humans than any other emotional species, I'd say a Human friend would maybe help him move on from his hyperfixation on comparing Vulcans and Humans. But I can see other species being a good friend that could also support him as he worked on himself.
I can see a good friendship with Solok being kind of like Spock and Bones' friendship. Full of banter and different perspectives, but at the end of the day they're still friends and found family.

Hey DSD!
Nonny here, do have a list of any writers you would recommend and maybe even one or two of their fics?
Would love some more reading material and thank you so much if you do end up sharing with me.
Hi Nonny! Absolutely, I do! There are a ton of amazing writers, both here and on AO3, especially for Star Trek since it's such a long-standing fandom. I will absolutely list some of my favorites, but please do not be afraid to explore the tags both on AO3 and here on tumblr, because there are a ton of amazing writers that I haven't encountered yet, and I'm probably leaving some out unintentionally. (I'm so sorry! My memory is like that of a gnat at times!)
Also, on my pinned welcome post under the "Keep Reading" there's a link you can click that will (hopefully) take you to all the posts I've tagged on here as fic recs! So feel free to take a look at that too!
I highly recommend any/all stories by the following authors, and beneath their names I'll list 2-3 of my favorite stories from each:
@creature-of-the-stars - on AO3 here as ToeBeansMcGee

I've Got The Bull By The Horns 1/5
Captain Solok/Captain!Reader
Tumblr media
🫧Warnings: Xenophobic themes, harsh language, ANGST
🫧Notes: Reader is femme aligned, most referred to the in 2nd person, this is an AO3 reupload!
There was absolutely no doubt in your mind that Captain Solok was the person you hated most in life. Everything he did, everything he said, made you want to just tear your hair out. He was so infuriating, so pompous, so utterly full of himself that some days you simply refused to believe he was Vulcan at all. You knew full well that your opinion was not exclusive, many DS9 personnel despised him, though perhaps only Captain Sisko’s hatred measured up to your own. Upon finding out that once again, Solok would be docking the T’kumbra here for repairs, you slammed your hand down on your station.
“What’s the matter Commander?” Major Kira came up behind you and placed her hand tenderly on your shoulder. She was always so thoughtful in that way.
“Solok is the matter, I can’t stand him. I’d rather die than have to see his smug face ever again.” You said through gritted teeth. Something about him just ignited such uncontrollable rage inside of you. You knew why, but you’d be damned before you’d ever admit it.
“Don’t say that, there’s no way he’s that bad.” Kira mused.
“Oh but he is, he is that bad. He’s the most arrogant, privileged, obnoxious person I've ever had the misfortune to meet. I’d be perfectly happy to hear he’d fallen off the face of Vulcan, never to be seen again.”
“Why? I know why Benjamin has such a problem with him, but why do you?”
You let out a long sigh. “It’s a long story.”
“I’ve got time. Tell you what, we’ll have a girl’s night and you can tell me all about it. Besides, don’t you want to hear about who I’m seeing?” Kira whispered playfully in your ear, she always knew what to say to get you to agree. The prospect of relaxing with Kira after your shift sounded nice anyway, even if you would have to talk about Solok at some point. Rest had been escaping you lately.
“Count me in. I’ll meet you at Quark’s after our shifts.”
“I’ll be waiting.” She smiled, bid you a good rest of your day, and headed off to continue with her duties.
As soon as she was out of sight, you let your shoulders slump. Sighing, you rubbed a hand across your forehead. You really didn’t want to talk about Solok with her, or with anyone. But if it had to happen, better to confide in Kira than anyone else. You knew that you probably should have gone to a counselor after what had happened with him, but the prospect of working your feelings away had won out over your better judgment. Nonetheless, you had already agreed to it, there was no backing out now.
-
Nervously, you made your way down the promenade to Quark’s. You picked at the edges of your uniform cuffs, a bad habit from the academy you’d never been able to kick. You knew Kira would be waiting for you, but stalling sounded wonderful.
“Y/N! There you are, what took you so long?”
Kira bounded over and greeted you with a hug. She was a new person now that she’d moved on from Shakar, it warmed your heart to see her so happy. A small part of you resented her for it, you wish you’d turned out that way, but Solok had made you bitter. It bothered you, this wasn’t who you wanted to be. Some days you didn’t even recognize yourself or who you’d become. The experience had turned you sour, made you resentful and vengeful, always fighting the urge to let your temper rip on some unsuspecting soul. Only Kira seemed to be able to stand you these days, and only because she was so relentlessly optimistic.
“Got caught up with something.” You mumbled, looking down at your shoes. It wasn’t entirely a lie, you were reading Solok’s pre-docking briefing. He’d be here at 0700 tomorrow, and would stay for over a week. A whole week with Solok stalking around in your peripherals sounded like the most miserable experience possible.
“Alright, tell me what’s wrong. Solok’s arrival has been bothering you all day, don’t think Julian and Miles didn’t notice and let me know.” Kira led you to a quiet table in the back by your elbow, two raktajino’s already waiting. Seeing that Kira had ordered yours the way you liked it- hot, double sweet, extra cream- made you feel more relaxed. Settling in to your quiet little corner and taking a sip of your drink, you smiled into your cup as it warmed your insides.
“So, what’s going on?” Kira prompted, never one to stall.
“It’s just, Solok and I…it’s complicated. During our early days as lieutenants, we served together on the Hermes, we were very close. I don’t really remember when it started, but at some point we became…involved with each other. It lasted for a while, and we were going strong until he got promoted. Once he did, he went for it and never looked back. I didn’t know he’d been transferred until I asked the computer where he was, he’d never even bothered to tell me. Low and behold, I did some digging to find out where he’d gone and found he was a Vulcan supremacist and had been hiding it from me. I wasted so much time fooling around with him and he never cared for me at all. He’s nothing but a no-good, two-faced, xenophobic liar! I loved him and he never gave a damn about me. He broke my heart, that’s why I can’t stand him. That’s why I don’t want him around, that’s why I'd love to go back to my quarters and just curl up and die.”
The look on Kira’s face had not been what you were expecting. Some surprise you had anticipated, but complete and utter shock had not been a prediction.
“Oh, wow. That’s…not at all what I was expecting. Solok and you were together?”
Sighing heavily, you classed your hands tight on the table to maintain an outward look of composure. Even thinking about Solok made you sick to your stomach. It hurt to explain yourself because deep down underneath all the anger and hurt, you still loved him. It was no use lying to yourself and trying to pretend like he didn’t consume your every waking thought and wasn’t the object of all your desires. Just the idea that he had been using you for your body made you want to shrink in on yourself and never utter another sound for as long as you lived.
“It’s not something I'm proud of. All he ever did was take advantage of my feelings for his own personal gain. Having him here for the week is going to make me lose my grip on my life again, I can’t let that happen. It was nothing short of a miracle that I was on Bajor the last time he was here, maybe I can convince Sisko to let me take the week off.”
“But running away from him won't solve anything!” Kira protested. “Clearly this hurts you more than you’re willing to admit. I think the two of you need to have a talk, lay everything out on the table so you can truly be at peace. I mean, how long have you had this cloud hanging over you?”
Putting your head in your hands, you sighed again. Kira was right, serenity escaped you because you lived every day with this open wound. It would be hard to talk to him, but it would be well worth the strife in the end. Peeking out from between your laced fingers, you noticed that at some point it had gotten late. Most of the patrons had left for their quarters and Quark was tidying up to close for the evening. You were on alpha shift tomorrow, staying up any later would make Solok’s arrival that much harder.
“I’ll do it. I can’t keep living like this, I need to let him go.”
Kira’s arm ran comfortingly up and down your own. “That’s the spirit.” She smiled warmly before pushing out her chair. “We’d best get to bed, you need the rest more than anyone tonight.”
Nodding, you copied her motions and went to return your mugs to Quark before following Kira out onto the promenade. The two of you walked in comfortable silence until you reached the habitat ring and had to part ways. She enveloped you in a long hug.
“Sleep well, ok? I’ll be there with you tomorrow, everything's going to be ok.”
“Thank you.” You murmured into her shoulder. “Good night.”
Kira bid you pleasant dreams and went on her way, leaving you to walk the short distance to your quarters. Upon returning, the moment the door closed behind you, you collapsed onto your bed. There was no energy left in you to change into nightclothes or sort yourself out, you just needed to sleep. Deactivating the lights. You curled up under your blankets and drifted off, willing tomorrow to never come.

Research projects are the guise in which Solok indulges his apparent desire to try non Vulcan things while still appearing to others as totally Vulcan.
It would be genius if only he didn't come across as a jerk to non Vulcans, but that's why we love him.

SolokXHuman, human gets assigned to the T'kumbra, personality variants, white privilege?, I still don't know how to title things.... anyways
I started reading this Solokxhuman fic the other day where human gets assigned to the t'kumbra and is like Im gonna do the best job ever and prove that smug dickwad that he's wrong about human inferiority. I've read a couple or maybe a few fics that start with that premise; and I was just thinking, If I were assigned to work under Solok I probably wouldn't put in any effort to prove him wrong. like, I probably wouldn't put in less effort or do worse (though I might, actually, depending on my mood and the circumstances idk) , but I wouldn't care enough to try harder or worry about what he thinks of me or humans in general.
But then I was thinking that maybe this is an aspect of privilege; like, because I'm white, I don't really need to worry too much about how my performance as an individual affects peoples perceptions of my race or nationality. Though I am also a woman and in that regard I do kinda need to consider how I'm affecting the perception of women as a group, but I don't think its to the same extent as it would be for say a black person (atleast in a white dominant country)
but also some people also just a "Ill prove you wrong." type of personality and others have more of a "Well, you're allowed to have wrong opinions." type of personality
