AKESHU but Akechi is the "touch him and I'll kill you" lover trope with Akiren
12/18 update: Reedited post to uncensor
Like, not just with other people that might be a threat. I mean any instance AkiRen looks distressed, overprotective Akechi comes out.
He used to have complicated feelings disguised as hatred for this handsome idiot, but now that they are a couple, he's his precious little cinnamon roll, Metaverse attire and personality or not, he will protect the fuck out of this man!
Akiren let's out a yelp.
Akechi: "WHAT HAPPENED, WHOSE COGNITIVE PALACE AM I INFILTRATING AND KILLING THE COGNITIVE SHADOW OF? GIVE ME THEIR NAMES, LOCATION, AND KEYWORD, I'M GOING WHOLE SCORCHED EARTH ON THEIR ENTIRE GENERATION."
Akiren: "I-I just burned my hand, and I don't think Sojiro will take too kindly to you destroying his Coffee Maker."

Could we please get general relationship headcanons for Futaba from Persona 5?
author's note: I love Futaba, she is me. I am her. Genuinely my favorite P5 character. No it's not Yusuke even though I only have a giant print of him hanging in my room-
rating: general
fandom: persona 5
pairings: futaba sakura x gn!reader
word count: 772
warnings: canon-typical content
summary: What would it be like to be in a relationship with Futaba?
Ohhhhh, Futaba. As shy as she is, she wants to be with someone just like her. Someone who is withdrawn, willing to spend many, many days cooped up playing video games with her, and has the same goofball streak and a heart of gold. She wants to be able to screw around all day with you and just act like a bunch of goobers. While she wants a withdrawn partner, though, I think someone who is extremely outgoing would suit her just as well. A person that can be the “she asked for no pickles, sir” of the relationship, if you will. Futaba the schemer and her partner, the executor. A power couple made in hell. The world shall fear them.
When she first meets you, probably on the streets of Akihabara or when she goes back to school, Futaba would understandably be incredibly nervous and anxious. It’s in her nature. But she made a resolve to go out, make friends, and bloom into her own person after her experience with the Phantom Thieves. So that’s exactly what she does, and she meets you, the person she falls for, hard and fast. Maybe literally. Like, trips into your arms literally. And if you’re not chicken, ask her out here. She will not do it herself, Futaba would be perfectly content stewing on her emotions to stay in her safe space and keep the friendship she already worked so hard to create. So it’s on you to read the signs. Would she run away from you after you ask? Probably. But she would come right back and explain, accepting your offer for a date.
No ifs, ands, or buts, your first date is at the arcade. She has to school your gaming skill, just to make sure you are worthy of being her equal in the relationship. I don’t think she’s actually cruel, though, so if you get stomped she’ll just tease the shit out of you about how much you suck. Get ready for a lifetime of butt whoopings in Smash Brothers. Since you two were friends before dating, though, your meetups would quickly move to either your house or Futaba’s. Ordering delivery food or running to Leblanc to get curry to devour on the couch with bags up chips and soda is incredibly common with you two. And you know what? Futaba wouldn’t have it any other way. Literally, don’t take her to that fancy restaurant. She will hate it, keep it simple and private! And buy her gifts from Akihabara every time you go. She will fawn over everything you get her forever.
Speaking of gifts, Futaba’s love language is gift giving, as well as words of affirmation. We see with the protagonist that Futaba really needs verbal encouragement to go through with her plans, and you best believe that for every time you are there to cheer her on, she will return the act tenfold. She’ll be your personal cheerleader until the end. Also, Futaba strikes me as the type who would go out and buy you the dumbest thing in existence just because she thought of you when she saw it. A mug that looks like your favorite animal? Your cabinet is already overflowing, but you will find room for it.
The Phantom Thieves are her personal protection squad, so do everything you can to impress them or they will not let you around her. Not that they don’t trust Futaba to make educated decisions about who she hangs around with, but she’s definitely a bit more vulnerable to people taking advantage of her due to her social inexperience. Not to even mention Sojiro. Hoo boy. All of the father stereotypes apply here. He knows what harm can come to people in relationships, especially with their first love, so he’s overprotective as hell. But I have complete faith that you will be able to earn his respect, especially since Futaba has been so happy since starting to date you. Anyone who helps make his daughter happy is a good person in his eyes.
Overall, prepare for chaos in a relationship with Futaba. Every day is going to be something new. A new story about her hacking exploits, about what she did to get in trouble at school, or what her friends did that caused utter chaos once again. The chaos is comforting, though. You know that Futaba will always be at your side and that she’ll be there to put a smile on your face when you can’t do it yourself. You’re gonna be the one ordering the food and making phone calls, though. She’s totally not sorry.

🎵"You never see it cominnnnng!"🎵
He was perched on the corner of a rooftop, his mask rolled up as he chowed down on a Moon Burger as he relaxed from his usual patrol when his phone started ringing.
'Uh oh-'
He knew who's ringtone this was. He quickly swallowed down his last bite, before pulling out his phone and holding it up to his ear.
🎵"You see-"🎵
Boop
"Hi Auntie."
"Renren!!" The older woman sounded ecstatic to hear from her surrogate son. "Finally managed to get ahold of you. You been busy or something?"
He chuckled softly to himself. "You could say that, yeah."
His aunt wasn't exactly aware of his current... condition. He hated lying to her, but he didn't want her to worry. Though, he could be a bit... overprotective of her in that regard. She was barely in her 40s, yet he treated her like she could die of a heart attack at any moment.
... Course, she did the same of him-
"Well, still I wish you would keep in touch more. I worry about you sometimes."
"I'm fiiiine." He said, his tone conveying not the slightest hint of annoyance. Honestly, while she could be a bit much at times, he found it more touching than anything. "But you're right, I've been meaning to call you. I do miss you, it's just... I haven't had a lot of free time lately."
"It's alright, dear. I know you're doing your best. You been keeping up with your homework?"
"Yes ma'am! I was top of the class on my last exam, in fact."
"Ohhh good! Good! Last I heard you were struggling with that a bit."
"There's been some..." He paused for a brief moment. How best to put this? "-difficulties on that front, yeah. Took a bit of time to... adjust. But I had a good study partner to help me through it, so I think I got it figured out."
He wasn't... entirely sure on that last part, though he supposed he never really could be. Not when there could always be some supervillain attack to interrupt his study time.
"Oh! That reminds me! It's not set in stone yet, but I'm planning on coming down to visit for about a week around Christmas. Figured it was about time I met these new friends you keep talking about, and what better time than the holidays?"
Uh oh-
"O-oh, really..? That's... great-"
"... You don't sound excited. Something wrong?"
"N-no! Of course not!"
Yes! Yes, something was very wrong!! His aunt was coming over for a week?? How the shock was he supposed to hide his secret from her?? He sucked at hiding his secret identity, literally ALL of his friends found out by complete accident.
"I j-just- I mean where are you going to stay?? Hotel rooms are kinda expensive, especially around the holidays-"
"Oh, that's no problem. I'll be staying at Sojiro-san's place."
THAT IS EVEN WORSE.
"Oh, wow... that's great. You'll be... just around the corner-"
There was a moment of silence on the other end, but he practically see the face she was making, despite the large distance between them. It was that same 'Really?' face she'd give him whatever she could him lying.
"Aaron. Seriously. What is the problem? You know you can talk to me."
She used his actual name this time. That didn't bode well. Quick, think up something! Anything she would buy as to why he'd react this way.
"It's just... nerves, I think. My friends mean a lot to me, and I'm a bit nervous what you'll think of them-"
"Oh nonsense-" She replied, a bit of life returning to her tone. "For you to speak as highly of them as you do, I'm sure they're wonderful people."
He gave a sigh of relief. He almost couldn't believe she actually bought that-
"I know, I know. It's... silly of me. Just... sometimes my nerves kick in before my brain can process why."
Which was actually true... just not in this case.
"I know, dear. I know. It's just how you are." He could almost see the motherly smile on her face as she said that. A smile he did miss seeing in person, so... You'd think he'd be happy about this news. And a part of his was, but... lying to her about all this stuff, all the danger he faces every day, it's a lot easier when he doesn't have to look her in the eye as he does it.
"Alright, well I'll let you go now. I'd hate to keep you from your errands any longer. But please, do try to call more often."
He sighed. "Okay, Auntie. I'll do my best."
"You'd better. See you at Christmas, Renren. Love you."
"Love you too."
He hung up the phone and groaned, his head hanging low as he slipped his phone back into his pocket.
At least you have a month to prepare. His Persona remarked, trying to comfort him in whatever way he could. He knew how much this weighed on him all too well.
"Yeah..."
He pulled down his mask, balling up the wrapper of his lunch to shove into the pocket of his coat, before jumping off the roof to swing off into the city.
"-For whatever that's worth."
#verse unspecified;#Phantom Spider One Shots - Drabbles;#this just popped into my head and I had to write it#Also gives me more motivation to actually follow through on doing more with his Aunt instead of just saying I will#Fingers crossed i can find a decent face claim in the next... month-

send emojies for what kind of dynamics you want to plot
A mix of 💚 & 🧡 for Futaba
And just 🧡 for both Sojiro and Wakaba
send emojies for what kind of dynamics you want to plot
💚 partners in crime
Heh, oh definitely. I can definitely imagine them doing some mischief and crime. Futaba may not have spider powers like he does, but she has the computer expertise and the know how to keep him safe. I can see them committing all sorts of crimes, with Futaba wiping cameras and all that stuff. That would be fun.
🧡 familial
Naturally. Futaba's the overprotective little sister making sure he ain't out there killing himself whilst ruining her already bad sleep schedule (sorry for being so slow on replying. I'm getting to it soon I swear!)
🧡 familial (For Sojiro and Wakaba)
Pretty much yeah. Sojiro is always stressed out (I'm assuming he knows about the secret identity and all that) and his hair is even more gray as a result. Wakaba is a loving mother, and if we were to go with my post strikers verse stuff, she would adopt him in a heartbeat and make sure he was taken care of properly. Despite her tendencies to overwork, she makes sure to take care of him, going into mom mode a lot.

"Oh, get off it!" Ryuji punched the black-haired teen's shoulder lightly, laughing all the while. Of course, he was happy to receive any amount of compliments from him, even though he really did sound like his overprotective and proud mom. "Yeah, it's crazy, but I'm so glad it's over. We've got normal lives now."
The Moon snickered with his hand covering his mouth when Ren talked about his sister. "Oh, trust me, I know. We're friends and computer fans now, so... really, all our disagreements are pretty minor in comparison to her rage at her own work." When Sojiro wasn't available, he took on the responsibility to calm her down and figure out something else.
"Ah, and thanks for your support. I'm still thinking about it, so don't worry about me. Good luck with your psychology major. Maybe I'll ask you for some advice someday to work on myself."
His boyfriend squeezed his hand lightly to show his own empathy, then turned to Ren, grinning. "I got enough energy! I was always bouncin' off the walls and shit, so it's no problem! Anyway, are we goin' somewhere today? Coffee, food, the movies? I'm fine with anythin'!"
"Same here. We can catch up some more on the way." Mishima said.
@fatexbound
"Sorry that I'm proud of my best friend who doesn't get the recognition he deserves." The Fool arcana retorted as he set his hands in his pockets. When Ryuji mentioned their circumstances weren't the best, he cracked a grin of his own. "Yeah. Who would've thought the three guys that Kamoshida tried to expel would go on to lives like this?"
The ravenet gave Mishima a pat on the shoulder. "That's just how she is. Once you get to know her, she becomes a little shit. And I say that with all the brotherly love in the world." Honestly, that made him think back to when Sojiro had brought him along to visit Wakaba's resting place with them. The cafe owner telling him not to 'not go after Futaba'... Even if he weren't with Ann at that point, he just couldn't picture himself and Futaba having that type of relationship.
"Not sure if I see you as a hacker. But I'm sure whatever you do, you're gonna be great at it." He told the former volleyball player with a nod of reassurance. As much as he got teased, Ren knew Mishima was just as capable as any of the Phantom Thieves when he put his mind to it. The thing that held him back was his self doubt.
Ryuji's excitement at his future career radiated off of him, like the ex-sprinter had a warm aura around him. "And here I thought you were going to be a theoretical physicist." Ren remarked. "I just hope you can handle a group of kids. They might be more energetic than even you."

One of the worst takes I've seen was "Joker and Futaba are siblings and if you ship them you're promoting inc*st".
Shoutout to the anon who asked if the “Futaba and Goro being siblings” headcanon would make Shuake incest, I love you so much and think about you all the time
Anyway to your point, yeah it really comes down to people insisting that their interpretation of canon has to be the correct one when like. It really isn’t. Canonically, Joker and Futaba are close friends like the rest of the Phantom Thieves.
That dynamic can easily be expanded into something potentially sibling like OR something potentially romantic in fanworks depending on the writer and that’s fine actually.
Maybe Sojiro asking Joker not to get with Futaba is because he sees both of them as his kids. Maybe it’s because he’s being an overprotective dad.
And yeah, while “Atlus let’s you date her so they aren’t canonically siblings” doesn’t hold up because Atlus lets you date your teacher after you beat up a teacher trying to date a student, if Atlus was specifically trying to appeal to the crowd who wants to date their adopted little sister, THEY WOULDN’T BE FUCKING COY ABOUT IT. Like we’d get the “oniii-chan” and the full thing. Like they ain’t qualifying by making Kawakami a 19 year old ta or something you just straight up date your teacher and it sucks, but I do think it’s safe to say that Futaba and Joker’s relationship isn’t intended to be siblingy
They didn’t even do the whole “lived together their whole lives” pseudo-incest thing Joker knows her for like six months before going back home. I feel like this just people who insist Joker’s parents have to be awful and abusive so Sojiro is his real dad and thus Futaba is his sister

Prompt 15 for ShuAke, please? (Your other answers are really really good, by the way.)
(aaaa THANK YOU yes of course!! also jsksjksjksjksjsj THIS PROMPT……. THANK YOU FOR THIS it was SO fun)
15. “Don’t tell me you’re fine, I can see the blood!”
akira has an adrenaline problem and is more reckless in sae’s casino that akechi expected. also akechi cares more about it than akechi expected.
***
The Thieves get overprotective of Joker in Sae’s casino, which is too bad, because it’s very big with many moving parts and it’s best for them to divide and conquer the place, which is how he explains it to them during a Thieves meeting that Akechi is not invited to. Also, when Joker splits them up into groups, Joker is sometimes paired up with only Crow.
The rest of the Thieves give each other unimpressed looks. “That’s… the opposite of reassuring,” Makoto says with a pained sigh.
“If anything happens, I’ll be fine. Plus, Futaba knows where I am at all times, and she can always reach me through the comms. I’ll say something if anything happens.”
Everyone gives each other such a significant look that Akira wonders if maybe the Thieves are having secret meetings that he isn’t invited to, either. But they don’t push him on it.
He asks Ryuji about it when everyone else has gone, Haru’s taken Morgana for the night, and it’s just the two of them in Akira’s attic. “We’re just… worried for you,” says Ryuji, scratching the back of his head. “The entire reason Akechi’s even here is to kill you, right? Guy’s a liar and probably a murderer and we don’t even know how dangerous he is. His Persona’s already crazy strong and Makoto thinks he’s got more tricks up his sleeve, too.”
Akira thought that through already. The probability is that Akechi can’t kill him until they’ve gotten to the end of the palace, and stolen Sae’s “heart” on the exact day that Akechi requested. On the other hand, it’s still just a probability. Maybe Akechi can kill him whenever he wants. “It’ll be fine,” says Akira.
“I mean, I know that,” says Ryuji, and sighs. “I guess… it’d be one thing if we just thought he might kill you the second we’re not lookin’, but I–I dunno. We were all worried ‘cause we thought that you kept pairing yourself up with Crow on purpose ‘cause you likedthat he might…”
Ryuji trails away. “Uh, actually, never mind. Sounds dumb now that I say it aloud, honestly. Forget about it. See you tomorrow.”
“See you,” says Akira.
***
Akira Kurusu is a good boy, who lived in a good town, with a good family, with only good neighborhoods. There were never any bad neighborhoods to duck into and pick any fights with the wrong kind of people. There were never any bad bars to lose yourself in and make out with the wrong person. There were no criminals or thieves or so-called bad influences for a boy to get involved in.
Akira Kurusu is still a good boy. He lives in Tokyo now. He never finds himself so furious he can’t think, and he never heads to Mementos to punch shadows full of bullet holes, or (hopefully) get the shit kicked out of him. Akira Kurusu never scales the highest, tallest buildings in the Metaverse’s palaces, just to feel the ice-cold fear in his stomach hit him like a shot of vodka. Akira Kurusu never cuts it too close to the Palace deadline, just to feel the danger prickle on the back of his neck, or see the nervousness in his teammates’ eyes. He never makes an alliance with someone who doesn’t love him, just to wring some mutual benefit for the both of them like pulling blood from a stone.
Akira Kurusu never lurks on the school roof, or picks up shifts at Crossroads, or skulks in alleyways long after his bedtime, hoping for some douchebag to take a dislike to his face and give him a good reason to get some blood under his nails and feel alive for an hour. Whoever walks the Tokyo streets is some nameless, faceless specter, of no future and no past, to disappear when the sun rises.
Akira Kurusu is a good boy who gets good grades and runs Sojiro’s coffee shop when Sojiro is out. His face is blank and impassive, and there’s definitely no grudges locked behind his teeth. He goes to school on time and answers all the questions right and speaks to no one. He doesn’t think about girls. He also doesn’t think about boys.
Akira Kurusu is a good boy, who, one day at a TV station, met another good boy named Goro Akechi, who smiled politely and said all the right things, who never had a bad thought in his head or a fury in his throat. When Goro Akechi comes to set up camp in Leblanc, it is of course no problem, because Goro Akechi is a good boy who would never wait for hours just to see the whites of his prey’s eyes, and Akira Kurusu is a good boy who’s never done anything wrong, and never hungers for the sharp jolt of being pursued pressed like a blade against his neck.
Because they are both two very good boys, it is never a threat when Goro Akechi smiles at him in the subway station, and Akira’s smile back to the quick heartbeat of adrenaline is never real.

Anyway, the next day a Ganesha throws Joker through a slot machine.
“Joker!” Crow is probably saying, although Joker can’t hear a whole lot while upside down and covered in casino chips and bits of machine parts. Joker appreciates the concern, though, considering that Joker’s just split up the group again, and it’s only Joker and Crow against this brick shithouse of an elephant god. When Joker springs back up, his coattails and bits of bloody chips go flying; his whole body is singing. Crow says, “Hamao–”
That’s Joker’s least favorite move. No fun when Crow’s Hamaons or Mudoons land right, and the shadow drops clean like a cut puppet, no blood, no mess, no struggle. “Hecantoncheires!” Joker interrupts, and feels another chunk of his life force get gouged out as payment for a Swift Strike.
“Ganesha resists physical!” Crow snaps.
Joker pulls out his gun and unloads the whole clip and only stops when Crow kicks him out of the way of Ganesha’s angry swipe. “It’s weak to Psychokinesis, Joker! Finish this quickly!”
Trust Crow to have memorized all the shadows’ weaknesses. He sounds just like Queen does when Joker’s not taking it seriously enough for her. Joker pulls Kunishinada from his soul and casts a weak Psi, sweeping the shadow right off its massive feet to hit the ground with a floor-shaking crash. Joker pulls out his dagger. If Ganesha was going to beg or bargain, Joker’s not interested. He wants a good old-fashioned fight.
When Joker’s dagger slices through Ganesha’s fat stomach, Ganesha’s death throes slam a fist right into Joker’s back, crushing him and tearing Joker’s dagger straight through Ganesha’s body. Ganesha explodes into shadow dust and a shower of yen.
When Joker stands back up, he can feel himself beaming like a maniac, and Crow seems to almost smile back just out of pure shock. And with the Ganesha gone, it’s just Joker and the last and only enemy that mattered in the middle of the casino floor, surrounded by the Sae’s machines chattering out numbers of the highest, highest stakes. Joker’s enemy is sizing Joker up in the wake of battle, examining the blood streaking down his face; Joker’s enemy is sweeping his body from head to toe with his dark red eyes, lingering at the cinch of Joker’s vest waist, the high collars. Joker’s enemy’s eyes are wide.
“Gorgeous,” says Joker, and then collapses.
Crow’s over him in a second, but before he can say anything, Oracle’s voice comes over the line: “Joker? Your reading’s are a little wonky, are you alright?”
“I’m fine,” says Joker. He sounds remarkably fine, actually, considering that his vision’s going a little grey.
“You’re not–”
Joker presses a finger to his own lips. Crow shuts up, his eyes glittering and rapt. “I’m fine,” says Joker again to Oracle. “It was just a skirmish with a shadow. Nothing big.”
“Uhhhhhh… Okay? You know where the safe room is if you need it? Noir’s not too far away if you need a hand, too.”
“Thanks, Oracle.”
“Aye aye, Captain,” says Oracle, which makes Crow’s lips purse for some reason. The line clicks off.
“Don’t tell me you’re fine,” says Crow immediately. His voice is shaking.
“I am fine.”
“I can see the blood–!”
“That’s a flesh wound.”
“This is no time for jokes,” says Crow sharply.
“Worried?” asks Joker. His to-be murderer, fretting about death coming a little too soon for his tastes? Ah, his to-be murderer is tracing his gloved fingers by Joker’s exposed and open neck.
Crow ignores him. “Robin Hood doesn’t know any healing spells. Can you heal yourself?”
“I’m out of magic.”
Crow looks like he’s trying very hard to be a good, straight-laced detective who doesn’t say “fuck” and also doesn’t panic. Crow is taking deep breaths, like he’s the one who go punched in the chest twice by a two-thousand pound elephant. “That was incredibly foolhardy of you.”
“It was just a bit of fun.”
“Pardon me for saying so, but what part about getting the shit kicked out of you was fun?”
Joker has the stupidest, goofiest smile on his face, he knows, because he’s half-drunk on all his wounds and, in his defense, there is a very pretty murderer with a sharp, sharp sword and gun that never misses staring down at him, their masks close enough to touch, Crow’s hands close enough to strangle him to death right there on the casino floor. Joker wants to see what would happen if Crow tried. “It’s not fun if it can’t at least kill you,” he says, more sincerely than he meant to.
Crow’s throat works and swallows hard. His hands are tight around Joker’s chest. “I–think I have some medicine in my pocket,” he says suddenly, and tears his eyes away. It turns out that he actually does, surprisingly, in the form of one of Takemi’s pill packets and a crushed protein bar. Crow watches Joker carefully to make sure that Joker actually takes them both. He keeps watching everything Joker does, really, from the way Joker pulls the packet apart, to the tiny bites he takes, to his careful swallows. When Joker spits a wad of blood out to clear his throat, Crow stares at it like he’s never seen the color red before.
“Let’s go back to the others,” Crow says, when Joker’s finished regaining whatever strength he can. “We can hardly have the illustruous leader of the Phantom Thieves dying here.” And all the way back, Crow refuses to leave Joker’s side.
For Joker’s to-be murderer, Crow seems to care an awful lot about whether or not Joker lives or dies, Joker thinks.

The Phantom Thieves Find a Treasure Baby
So, during a new palace - it could be anytime, but preferably before Akiren gets shot in the head - the thieves go into the palace of a really overprotective parent. Like, full stop, "you can't have any friends bc they'll corrupt you, mother knows best" some Tangled level of bullshit. The kid calls out to the thieves, they infiltrate the palace - predictably a tower -, they do the heart thing, everything works out fine.
Until they return to the real world. Only to discover that the Treasure they stole... turned into a baby. The kid was the source of the distorted desires. And they can't just get rid of it, because it's a real ass baby now and several of the thieves have abandonment issues, so now the thieves are trying to raise the baby only they're all hilariously bad at it. Not to the point where they're hurting the kid, but just general shenanigans, like Makoto reading her textbooks to them so they fall asleep or Yusuke letting them destroy a room with paint. Akiren "I put a cat in my desk at school, why not a baby?" Kurumiya is not allowed to watch the child anymore while Morgana is the reluctant favorite babysitter since the baby is a junior catperson.
I especially like the idea of Haru convincing her fiance the baby is hers and making sure he doesn’t marry her (since what f*ckboy wants a high schooler with a kid?).
Sojiro eventually intervenes and calls child services, saying that they found the baby in a dumpster. Not sure if he tries to keep the baby though, it depends on how many puppy-dog eyes he’s given when child services shows up.

Minato <-> Elizabeth Minako <-> Theodore Aigis <-> Labrys Metis <-> Sophia
Yu <-> Margaret Dojima Family <-> Hasegawa Family Takuto <-> Rumi Sumire <-> Kasumi Caroline and Justine <-> Akechi Lavenza <-> Ren
I already wrote some profile (Mainly Lavenza, Caroline, Justine, Rumi and Kasumi.)
LAVENZA (JOKER)
Lavenza is a second-year high school student who meets Morgana and transfers to Shujin Academy in the spring in Tokyo after a false assault charge issued by a high-profile politician which caused her to end up with a one-year probation sentence.
She lives in a coffee shop, which is run by Sojiro Sakura, although it’s been rumour that she lived in a rural area before the ‘assault’ happened. Although soon Lavenza form the infamous group ‘The Phantom Thieves of Heart’ after entering the metaverse and awoken to her persona.
CAROLINE (YIN) + JUSTINE (YANG)
Caroline and Justine Kurusu are known as the ‘Twin Detectives Princes’ and is investigating the mysterious Phantom Thieves of Hearts case sensationalizing. Caroline acts mean-spirited and speaks in demeaning manner which people believe is just for show to hide her true feelings and loves her for it; calling her a ‘tsundere‘. She is also overprotective of her sister; not wanting anything to happen to her, which was a result of her protecting her twin sister when the other was horribly bullied in the past. Caroline also has a ill-tempered and is impatient with things.
Meanwhile Justine speaks in a polite and calm voice but condescending tone. She has a strong sense of Justice, disapproving the Phantom Thieves of Hearts’ methods but doesn’t express her disagreement as she prefer to keep quiet unlike her sister although she can come off passive-aggressive at times. Justine is in fact an orphan along with her sister and her quiet nature is a result of her childhood where she was bullied by other children and even adults whom saw her being too clever for her own good.
KASUMI (JAUNE)
Kasumi seems to be a bold and confident person who is fully consistent in her performances as a gymnast. She always seem to be cheery and would do her best to cheer people up however the girl doesn’t support handling matters for others to prevent them from being over-reliant on other people. However this is a facade to hide the fact that she suffers from heavy guilt for allowing her twin sister, Sumire, to commit suicide for consistently being in her shadow and not supporting her properly. So much so that Kasumi wished she didn’t exist as she believed her sister would still be alive and didn’t feel inferior to her. After meeting the Phantom Thieves and becoming a official member of them; Kasumi learns how to better support the people in her life and let go of her guilt she had for her sister; knowing that the guilt will not bring her sister back. As well that in the Metaverse, Kasumi is very violent and crueler, even going as far to laughing manically when she successfully defeat a enemy. She also makes sneering comments towards the shadows and get easily frustrated when her attack misses.
RUMI
Rumi is therapist and a counselor at Shujin Academy. She was hired by Kobayakawa in order to improve the students' mental health after dealing with the exposure of the Kamoshida incident She is a caring woman who wants to do everything in her power to help those who need it as she doesn’t want anyone to suffer. She is also popular with the students and has a great disliking towards Kobayakawa for using students for profits. Rumi regularly meets up with members of the Phantom Thieves and collect information of the desires of students from Shujin so that she may help them in the future. After some point; Rumi leaves but not before giving a speech for the students to avoid pain and negativity and live strong so that they may achieve their fairy tale ending. After the Day of Reckoning; Rumi becomes mad with fragments of her former personality left... Although Rumi is still a caring woman as she still only want to make people happy even if it means ruining herself and becoming a ‘Fairy Godmother’. It’s also revealed that Rumi had a former lover known as Takuto Maruki who suffered from a mental shutdown after his paper was seized by Shido... A fact Rumi became aware of shortly after Takuto’s passing and one she wanted to prove. This also lead Rumi to becoming a researcher and a therapist in honor of him.
You can get more info on her here~

Okay, here's what I know about Kasumi
At the start of the game it's mentioned by I think Sojiro that in one of the shutdown incidents a 15 year old girl died. That wasn't in the base game so it's important, and Kasumi is the only one at that age of the named cast so far
She alludes to her dad being kinda overprotective
She mentions that she's been in a slump for a while now and can't move the way she used to, meaning I assume that her skill level has dropped
She says she's been in a deep depression
Her phone is constantly on the fritz, which is probably important
What is your secret, Yoshizsawa Kasumi, if that's even your real name?!
I'm onto something here...and I think it's a twin thing but I'm not sure

round dos royal spoilers
so the game is now officially out in japan! however, the game apparently broke street date on the 30, so some spoilers up to post kamoshida’s palace is out already. i had made one post already pre-release date, but since the game is now legally out, i figure i’ll make a second post as a last hurrah of that short live time period (and some blurring onto the official release date).
so here’s a spoiler round up
based off secondhand/word of mouth witnesses and random screenshots of gameplay bc i don’t have access to streams
or do have access too but the archive videos won’t play the full video for me for some reason so i’m stuck with the former.
read at your own risk
just scroll past this if you want to be surprise
i’ll even put it under a read more too
last call folks
last time, takuto maruki makes his proper appearance in game.
minor harmless spoiler stuff
takuto maruki offers counseling to students involve in the kamoshida incident. he also has his own theme. i have yet heard it, but people seem to dig it.
ann(e) has mandatory counseling
kasumi has a father
updates of sorts
acording to the royal megathread on the persona 5 reddit ~in comparison to *chan one month before game~ someone said the car accident sojiro brought up only recently happened before the game start. due to a lack of timeframe, the one month could still be valid. just putting it here bc different translators can have different fan translations.
idk how legit this is so take it with a grain of salt
characters (pt?) bring up palaces in takuto’s first appearance (?)
kasumi has an overprotective father (?) [overprotective is the grain of salt]
minor but clearly not as harmless spoilers, some of which has someone translating:
kasumi says that maruki took care of her before she came to shujin
a girl [note: the text doesn’t tell who is ‘she’, but since we know ann(e) has mandatory counseling, it’s easy to assume it’s ann(e)] is speaking, but i don’t want to count all my chickens before they hatch for this] says it would be better if the whole incident with kamoshida never happened.
takuto says he’s doing some research [note: i have no idea if it’s cognitive research] in addition to counseling
goro’s has a new justice first rank, and here’s the apparent rough summary translation: akechi, a high schooler detective who chases after the phantom thieves. he seems to be interested in the protagonist due to his detective’s intuition.
the game’s soundtrack list got release. as of the 30 where i am (31 in japan), several songs are out on youtube via youtuber Index (found him from persona 5 royal megathread on persona 5 reddit as indexfiles). one of these songs, our light, may be the new credit song theme. i have yet found takuto’s theme
bonus tin hat theory round:
people on the persona 5 royal megathread (and some on *chan who don’t buy the kasumi push her rival and cause the car accident theory) think that kasumi is the dead girl in the car accident, and with takuto’s research he brought her back from the dead.
...and that’s all i got of the broken street date spoilers. i’ll probably do another post when it gets to really juicy stuff that is bordering onto third semester and onward because atlus doesn’t want people to stream past december 24 (so basically almost all of vanilla persona 5 then).
as a last gift, i got some images to cleanse anyone mind of seeing atlus’s mistake that cognitive!shiho (i still don’t know why she exist. it is extra motivation for players who want to beat up shadow!kamoshida? does she serve some gameplay purpose i yet to discover? is atlus trying to get fanservice that is really just unfortunate given what happen to shiho and ann[e], especially poor shiho?).
here
and here

one of my most heterosexual traits is the urge to mess around with kid oc’s of canon characters... anyway. phantom thieves.
* nb teenager joker fished out of a garbage. no uh they’re a good kid joker got out of a bad situation and they think he hung the moon, joker is a good parent but they’re reluctant to tell him when anything goes wrong because they think it’ll jeopardize their position as his “apprentice”.
* ann and shiho have two kids, one’s adopted and the other is ann and ryuji’s biologically (he cried like a baby when ann asked him too). the one that’s related to ryuji is also how they found out ryuji also has adhd-- she was struggling along the exact same lines ryuji did when he was a student and [shiho voice] wait. wait. the common assumption is that they’re a polycule but no it’s just mlm wlw childhood friend solidarity.
* futaba and yusuke have one (1) baby. sojiro had to intervene before they got carried away and cursed the poor kid to being named something absolutely horrendous, i think. it’s still a featherman reference. yutaba baby isn’t a visual artist but they got really into experimental poetry by osmosis.
* [haru voice] hah hah, ha! no.
* makoto is everyones cool biker aunt. also no.
* i’m fond of akechi having a kid partially bc i think its really funny if she’s incredibly overprotective of the kid joker fished out of a garbage can but my vague single-akechi-parent ideas involve his incredibly self destructive young adult habits catching up to him badly before he shapes up (ergo, kid. shit!)... he tries really hard not to fuck it up but there’s a lot of probably avoidable miscommunication going on. ultimately a functional family unit.
#single joker presumed for the sake of headcanons#which#he's got a new so every week lmao#his kid is keeping a scoreboard#joker thinks this is unfair but nobody else does#[joker voice] Ah Yes am i a di-- makoto: if you say dilf i will end you.#persona tag

[1/3] i always love to imagine that the dragon!shimadas are too overprotective over their beloved human who resides alone in the woods. theyd always chase off strangers who then in turn stir up some scary stories, warnings, etc when they get back obv frightened tf out. but like u know these big catty fur noodles are p much tied around reader's dainty fingers so theyd hang their head down in shame and whine lots when she scolds them for doing that, esp if they scared away a friend of hers whos--
2/3] –supposed to visit. she’d try her best to give them a punishment, maybe wont let them in her home, try her best to refuse giving them affection. then imagine if its mating season though and the boys are in ruts, even if theyve clearly established that reader is their mate, theyd still go through the trouble clamoring over each other to pick out the prettiest object they have in their hoard–
[3/3] –even going as far to find a w a y better one to get the claim to be the first to knot and fill their mate up nice and good several times over by the three dragons, genji would be the whiniest to claim its his turn, hanzo would be snappy about it, and sojiro is just patient as he knows their rut just began and thered be more coming for dear reader im sorry im rambling abt this a lot now idk i just really love this au ;;u;;
Ramble about this AU all you want, my friend~
I like imagining the dragons being so overprotective to the point of angst, where they actually have to beg for forgiveness. She’s so mad at them she’s going to move back into the city/village. Like maybe her family was coming to visit her after not seeing them for months! She cooked a big dinner and it was going to be this big ol thing. Just imagine poor Dragon!S/O sitting alone at her nicely set up the dinner table because her family never made it.
The dragons (I HC them to have mystical powers like they can create illusions and get into peoples heads) they don’t know her family. So they twist the forest and make them get lost to the point where they have to turn around and go back out. I also imagine this AU to be in a world where modern technology is present but its no accessible to everybody, most cities are very almost… archaic while the richer ones are futuristic.
Anyway, all of that to explain that she has a landline. She gets a phone call from her family saying they’re so sorry! But they have to get back on the next train and go home, explain what happened and Dragon!S/O just knows it was the Shimada!dragons who did it. I’d imagine it’s Sojiro who’s gotta come in and do major damage control.
God when mating season comes around Dragon!S/O is constantly filled to the brim. Kept in a nest in the Shimada!dragons’ cave, where they tend to all of her needs, bathe, feed, mate, and knot her over and over. Dragon!S/O thinks the gifts are cute, but she also doesn’t really care too much about them, she loves and appreciates the thought and the amount of fawning they’re doing more than anything (maybe she enjoys sitting back and watching the brothers fight over who gets to stick her first). She doesn’t care which one gets to fill her up first. Just as long as they breed her into bliss like they’ve promised they would.

Their name? Their age? Their gender? Their month of birth? Their sexuality/sexual preference? Any siblings/Only child? Any children? Their favourite season? Who/what did they want to grow up to be? What clothing style? What weaknesses do they have? What favorite color? Do they have a favorite animal? What do they despise in people? When do they roll their eyes at people? What makes them happiest? Feel free to tag anyone you wish! (John, Joel, Miyu, Daiki, Vanessa)
(head spins a little bit because THAT IS SO MUCH TO WRITE)
John Morrison: 25 years older than Jack (we don’t know Jack’s age so I can’t give a canon answer for John). Male. (I don’t keep the months straight, I’m so sorry). Bisexual. Only child. Jack Morrison; sometimes Jasmine/Jazz and Ben depending on the story. John loves the summer. John is a farmer and he doesn’t have too much desires beyond that. Comfortable clothing. He’s a very sensitive and empathetic man, so emotional manipulation hits him hard. Blue. John loves horses. John does not like manipulation. John hates complainers that don’t want to change anything in their lives. John is happiest surrounded by family, both blood related and friends.
Joel “The Coyote” McCree: 52 years old. Male. Pansexual. No siblings. Three kids; Thomas, Vanessa, and Jesse McCree. Joel likes all seasons equally. Joel always wanted to be a cowboy, but life didn’t give him that choice. Joel likes jeans and t-shirts. Joel loses control of his temper quickly if pushed too far and will lash out. Joel’s favourite colour is gray. Joel loves coyotes. Joel doesn’t like bad liars. He rolls his eyes at lack of common sense and blubberers. Joel is happiest with his family.
Miyu Shimada: 47 years old. Female. Aromantic. No siblings. No children. Her favourite season is spring. Miyu always wanted to be a pirate. Miyu dresses in fitting clothing that doesn’t get in her way when she’s hauling rigging. Miyu is quick to fight and doesn’t always think the fight through before jumping in. Her favourite colour is violet. She loves sea snakes. She despises people that want to trap their children for life. She rolls her eyes when most people open their mouths. She is happiest on the open ocean with just Domino at her side.
Daiki Shimada: 60 years old. Male. Homosexual. One older siblings; Sojiro. No children. Daiki likes winter. Daiki never dreamed of being anything but his brother’s right-hand man. He dresses formally. He is often blind-sided by the brutality of his family. Daiki’s favourite colour is gold. Daiki does not have a favourite animal. Daiki does not approve of familial betrayal. He rolls his eyes at bad sex jokes. Daiki is happiest when he has time to meditate and relax.
Vanessa McCree: 41 years old. Female. Asexual Panromantic. Two siblings; Jesse and Thomas McCree. No children. No favourite season. Vanessa had many dreams growing up; working with Overwatch, being a gold-medalist in gymnastics, being a doctor, being a dancer. Vanessa likes to dress fashionably, but will also walk around base in an oversized sweater when she’s just having a bad day. Vanessa can be overprotective and holds grudges for a long time. Her favourite colour is dark green. She adores hummingbirds. She doesn’t like people that put her family’s life in danger. She rolls her eyes at stupidity. She is happiest surrounded by people she loves and when she’s dancing.
(now excuse me as my fingers fall off XD)

Can I ask for a short widowhanzo child fic? (I know you headcanon widow can't have children and Hanzo doesn't want any children but I've been reading all these child stories and I'm curious about your widowhanzo child)
Well, you know, I’m not really a fan of child AUs (maybe because I don’t like children irl?), and I’m kinda busy writing the end of Variations, but your ask got me thinking, so instead of a fic, here have some headcanons.
- They both are dying for a girl but it’s a boy. Oh well.
- The name: not Genji, not Sojiro, not Gerard, etc. They would want the baby’s name to be something new, a fresh start for the entire family. They’ve both been chained to their pasts for so long I doubt they would want the same shadows and ghosts that used to torment them to mark their child.
- The location: the second they find out Widow is pregnant, they know they have to find a new place to live – far from France, and definitely far from Japan. They know they will have to open up and tell the truth about their past to the kid, but they want to do it on their own terms, when they feel the time is right. They know their stories are out there, and their kid can probably find out the truth about them with just a couple seconds on the internet but they don’t wanna risk the chance of having a noisy neighbor spilling all their secrets.
- The child would actually become a bridge for both Hanzo and Genji to overcome their differences.
- Discipline. Lots of it.
- After having spent so many years without the ability to experience any emotions, Amelie has a hard time trying to balance her feelings. Most of the times she feels she’s overprotecting her son – and like 90% of the time, she’s right.
- Considering his own upbringing, Hanzo wants his son to have a great childhood but in the back of his mind, he’s constantly thinking about the chance of his son having a dormant spirit dragon. The boy’s a Shimada after all… so, in his mind, he has a thousand different conversations with his son, as he longs to find the right words to tell him that, perhaps, there will be a mystical dragon protecting him. The first time the dragon shows up, however, Hanzo realizes that all those imaginary conversations, all that precaution, all his anticipation crumbles down the second he sees the magnificent beast for the first time. Even though the boy is clearly fascinated by it, Hanzo can’t help but think he’ll never be truly free of his family’s legacy.
