sleeping beauty
synopsis: dr. zayne coming home later than expected and finding his sweet girl asleep while wearing a new set.
cw; smut (18+ mdni), somnophilia, male masturbation, fingering, unprotected p in v, prone bone, praise kink, pet names (sweetheart, darling), mentions of phone sex, soft(?) sex, creampie, missionary
wc; 2.9k

he entered the house late one night, dragging his feet on the wooden floors as he walked in. god, he doesn’t even know what time it is. 4, 5am? zayne feels absolutely horrible—he said he’d be home by midnight, yet an emergency surgery held him back. he doesn’t expect you to be awake, that would be absurd, but he does get curious as he sees a note on the kitchen counter.
‘surprise in the bedroom for you, love’ the note read, in your handwriting. it was written in red ink with hearts all over it.
huh? he raised an eyebrow, rereading the note again. and again. there’s no way you’d still be awake.
zayne keeps holding onto the note as he walks into your shared bedroom, confusion written clearly on his feautures as he slowly opens the door. you’re asleep, he knows you are. he cringes when the door hinges squeaks, stopping his movements. he pushes the door open again, just enough for him to slip into the room before he closes it behind him. he made sure to turn the handle before the door closed, staying as quiet as possible.
his eyes flickered over to the bed, seeing your sleeping form. you cuddled his pillow, arms wrapped around it as if it were him. it was something he often caught you doing when he was away, and it made his heart melt more every time he saw it.
he chuckled under his breath. cute, he thought.
the lamp on your nightstand was on the lowest setting, casting a warm yellow glow over your slumbering body. zayne took a step closer to the bed before his breath hitched—you were wearing a new lingerie set.
it was his favourite colour on you, too. a rich pink, the colour of perfectly ripe raspberries. the lace of the lingerie had intricate designs, flowers and vines with lighter pink accents. the colour made the tone of your skin pop as it accented your curves, making you seem that much more beautiful and feminine in his mind.
the set didn’t leave much to the imagination—not that he needed it, anyway. but he couldn’t deny how absolutely breathtaking you looked, all dolled up and pretty as you snuggled against his pillow.
his pants grew tight at the display.
your handwriting in red ink caught his eye again. there’s a note on your bedside table, accompanied with a bottle of lube and your fuzzy pink handcuffs. ‘go crazy. please.’
his eyes crinkle at the corners as he smiled, leaning down to place a kiss on your temple.
a shower and then he’ll do as you asked, he decided.
☃︎⋆꙳•❅*ִ
zayne doesn’t know what’s gotten into him. the door’s cracked open just enough so he can see you, and he just can’t seem to take his eyes off you. even through the fogged up glass of the shower he can see the silhouette of your body, blurs of pretty pink lace adorning your skin.
before he knows it, his hand is on his cock. thick and veiny, it’s hard just from the thought of you. he teases himself as he yearns for you, wishing it was your hand instead. he tugs on himself, eyes fluttering as his jaw grows slack, a breath escaping his throat. he turns around in the shower so the water hits his back before tugging again, eyes flitting closed as he rasps your name. he could physically feel his knees weaken; what was happening to him?
zayne reaches a hand towards the shower wall, steadying himself as hot water continues to downpour on him. he’s burning. it’s too hot, it’s too much. he turns the temperature down, turning around so the colder water hit hit face, his chest. his eyes are still closed as he unhurriedly strokes himself, another hiss of his lover’s name tumbling past his lips.
now that he thinks about it, when was the last time the two of you had been intimate? with both of you leading busy lives, zayne being a doctor and you being a hunter, spending time with one another was rare. but you knew it would be like this even before you became official, both of you did. nonetheless, you made it work—navigating through the thick and thin.
zayne’s horny mind quickly found itself thinking about the phone sex from a week ago; it had become a norm in your relationship. he loved hearing your sighs and whimpers over the call as you tried to keep yourself quiet in your cold, empty hotel room you often found yourself in during missions. but still, whenever it happened, your fingers could never replicate the feeling of his dexterous ones, and his fist didn’t feel as good as your dainty one. it was in no way as good as the real thing, but it was good enough to satisfy both of you when you’re apart.
but now you’re here, and so is he, and he’s so excited. it’s painfully obvious with the way he is shamelessly touching himself, eyes half lidded as they roam down your silhouette. his sweet, loving girlfriend is finally home, wearing new lingerie, has given him her consent and he is definitely going to be taking advantage of it.
he comes out of the shower a few minutes later, not even bothering with getting dressed. zayne just had his towel hanging low on his hips, hair still damp. he didn’t let himself finish, wanting to do it when he fucks you instead. plus, why would waste cum when he can dump it in you? his mind gets full of ideas, but when he’s standing beside the bed his heart goes soft. he picks up the note again, rereading it.
he flips the paper over. ‘i have the day off tomorrow!’
could this get any more perfect?
zayne puts the note down back on the nightstand before turning his attention to you. he sat down, the mattress creaking under him as he brushed the hair away from your face. he’s so soft, gentle and domestic, as he leans down to kiss your cheek, catching a whiff of your shampoo.
you started to shift, mumbling incoherently before you stilled again, still asleep. zayne pulled back, letting one of his hands wander. he traced to smooth curve of your neck, drawing mindless shapes as his hands travelled further down. it finally settled on your waist, thumb rubbing back and forth on your silky, pliable skin.
it didn’t stay there for long, though—he couldn’t stop himself from exploring further. his hand goes further south, tracing the intricate details of the lacy panties you wore. eventually zayne’s hand is between your thighs, forefinger swiping across your slit-
but then he realizes that they’re crotchless.
you, his innocent devoted girlfriend, bought crotchless lingerie.
dirty girl!
he couldn’t help but to smirk, his face heating up at the discovery.
he quickly bring his hand to his mouth, spitting on his middle and ring fingers. his hand returned to you cunt, teasing and spreading you open. you may be asleep, but he could feel the way your body reacted to his touch.
“zayne,” he caught his name amidst your slumberous mumbling. it caused his smile to grow.
slowly, carefully, he could feel you getting wetter and wetter. his fingers traveled upwards towards your clit, not quite touching. he circled his finger around it, mindful of not applying direct pressure but still aware of how the muscles of your thighs twitched when he brushed against it.
even in your sleep, you’re so reactive to him.
zayne’s skilled fingers made their way back to you slit, prodding at your entrance before pushing in. of course he caught the way your walls happily welcomed him in, fluttering and throbbing like it’s been ages since they’ve had any attention. his fingers scissored and thrusted inside you, stretching you out to take his painfully hard cock. he fisted himself with his free hand, eyes blissfully closed and head thrown back as his thumb rubbed circles on your clit. the towel he wore was long forgotten on the floor, but he couldn’t care less right now—not when he had you all to himself after god knows how long.
your mindless whimpers were music to his ears, a sound he’d never tire from hearing. he felt your velvet walls fluttering and throbbing around his fingers, and combined with the way your thighs quivered and spasmed, he knew you were close. you arms tightened around his pillow and you buried your face further into it, shoulder rising and falling faster as your breathing picked up.
“mm-mmh,” your hums and whimpers filled the room, along with the squelches of your wetness against his fingers. with a hitched breath and a soft pant, you came undone around his fingers, cunt wildly throbbing around zayne’s digits.
he eased you through your orgasm, slowing down his fingers with a subtle smile on his lips. he withdrew them, leaving your puckering hole trying to clench around nothing as he brought his fingers to his mouth. zayne hummed at the taste of your sweetness, licking his fingers clean of your juices. he knew it was lewd. he just made you come while you’re asleep! but he just couldn’t resist; why would he waste a delicacy like this?
he stopped pumping himself—hard, fat cock resting against his stomach as he let himself go. with prominent veins and an angry tip, he was aching to finally be inside you. zayne grabbed a pillow, settling it so it was under your hips before he moved so he was on top of you, seamlessly slipping inside your heat and bottoming out into a prone bone.
you shifted under him, a looong whine leaving your throat when he pushed himself in. he waited until you settled to move again, slowly pulling himself out before gently pushing back in. he continued his slow, unhurried pace as he noticed you waking up from your slumber.
“zay- hah,” your voice was meek, quiet, riddled with sleep. “zayne,” you almost whined, tired tone taking over as mewls continued to leave you.
“good morning, sleeping beauty.” he whispered into your ear, leaning down to place a kiss on your trapezius. “sleep well?”
“mmhmmm,” you hummed dreamily, hiding the growing smile on your face by hiding your face in the pillow. “oh!”
“i apologize for being late,” zayne continued to sweetly talk to you, keeping his tempo slow and controlled. “there was an emergency surgery—you know how that goes.”
you hummed once more, only half paying attention to what your boyfriend was saying. your mind was more pre occupied with how he was making love to you. “‘s okay,” your words slurred, still quiet as you arms stayed wrapped about his pillow. “big fancy surgeon stuff.”
“mm, exactly.” he nosed where your neck and shoulder met, inhaling the sweet scent of your body wash. he let his eyes close, pace speeding up just a crumb. he let his lips linger on your skin, pressing his words into you. “i love you.”
“i- mmh, love you too.”
he smiled, one hand gliding down to you waist. “i like these,” he pulled at the waistband and let go of it, causing it to hit your skin with a smack! “did you get them while you were away?”
you hummed again, nodding. still too sleepy to form full, coherent sentences.
“words, sweetheart,” he grunted, a particularly hard thrust eliciting a moan from the both of you. “i need words. use them.”
“y-yes,” you replied quietly, eyes closed as your fingers curled against the pillow. “knew you liked the colour, so i- mm, got a pair.”
“they’re crotchless,” he smirked against your skin, eyes opening slightly to watch your expression. “dirty girl.”
zayne could see the way your cheeks grew rosier, matching the lingerie that garnished your body. “aw, are you shy, darling?”’
your whine of his name left him reeling. his pace sped up, the pap! pap! pap! of your skin drowning out your noises of pleasure.
“zayne!” you mewled with a gasp of his name, back arching deliciously against him. “hah- harder!”
“what’s the magic word, my love?”
“nnmh- please,” your face went deeper into the pillow, fingers gripping at the pillowcase helplessly.
he listened, humming contently as you did as he asked. “very good,”
your body rocked back and forth with the power of his thrusts, sweet mewls trailing past your lips. zayne’s head was up in the stratosphere with how well you were taking him, velvety walls gripping onto him like a vice. he sped up his pace, one hand resting on your waist—pulling you down onto him—while the other stayed by your head, supporting himself.
you turned your head just slightly, looking over your shoulder at the doctor. you took in his drip-drip-dripping hair and the way the smell of his body wash was stronger, even if it was masked by the scent of sex. you concluded he must’ve just taken a shower. you were snapped out of your thoughts when the bulbous head of his cock bumped against your g-spot, eliciting a breathy moan from your lips. “hngh, zayne, there!”
“right—“ he grunted, biting his bottom lip in concentration. he thrusted again, hard, hitting the spot you wanted. “here?”
“yes!”
he chuckled at your earnest response, pushing his cock against that spot repeatedly. he looked down, watching the way he kept disappearing into you, mesmerized.
“atta girl, taking me so well.”
“theeere you go, just like that.”
you could feel that familiar coil in your stomach, the one that left your body tingling and buzzing with electricity. your noises became sharper, more needier, and he picked up on that almost immediately.
“wait, wait-“ zayne panted quickly pulling out. you clenched around nothing, whining at the feeling of being empty. “wanna see your face with you come, love.”
he flipped you around effortlessly, pillow still under your hips as he spread your legs. his cock easily found its way back into you, like coming home from a long day. your back arched at the new angle, lips parted and eyes closed as zayne cradled you head in his hands.
“so pretty f’me, darling,” he praised, hips moving again as he found his pace once more. he leaned down, capturing you lips a with his own, devouring your little noises.
your hands came up to touch him, raking through his hair, clawing at his shoulders, just trying to hold onto anything. “z-zayne, mmh, so- so close! keep going!”
one of his hands snaked down your body, past the valley between your breasts and down your stomach, index finger just ghosting past your clit. it was teasing, mischievous, and he knew it. smirking against your lips, he nibbled at them as you let out a needy and annoyed whine.
“hah-harder!”
he didn’t have to be told twice.
zayne pinched your swollen, puffy clit before he drew stars on it, observing with a watchful gaze as your body shook and spasmed. he couldn’t help the smirk that crawled onto his lips—he was the one making you feel this way. he’s the one that’s making you tremble beneath him, right on the brink of your orgasm. it was his name that sweetly fell from your lips like a mantra.
that gave him a bigger ego boost than it probably should’ve.
your cunt fluttered and squeezed around him, trying to milk him for all he’s worth. “so- so close-!”
“i know, sweetheart, it’s okay,” he cooed, his thumb tracing the shell of your ear. your thighs shuddered, chest heaving with your quick intakes of air.
you came with a cry of your lover’s name, back arching off the mattress as your legs grew numb. your walls pulsated are him, desperately trying to keep him in you. a few more thrusts and zayne came as well, head hanging above yours as he whispered sweet nothings. he stilled, making no movement to take himself out of you—just staying together in the most intimate way possible, coming down from your highs and breathing syncing up.
your eyelids flitted open, your hands coming up to cup zayne’s face. you pulled, bringing his head down to yours as you placed a sweet kiss onto his lips. “thank you,”
“mm,” he hummed, smiling against you as he placed another kiss onto you. “of course.”
he reluctantly pulled out, eyes flickering down to your poor, picking hole, oozing with the combined aftermath of your orgasms. zayne moved off the bed, quickly making his way to the bathroom to grab a washcloth and running it under some warm water before he returned to you.
your eyes were closed, blissfully fucked out, legs still spread for him. a sigh escaped you as he ran the towel on your thighs before making his way between them, careful and delicate, like the gentleman he is.
after discarding the towel, he came back to you. the mattress dipped under his weight as he pulled you onto his chest, kissing the top of your head as his hands raked through your hair. you were already close to falling asleep, he could tell, and a small smile graced his lips. “i love you.”
“mmh, love you too.” you mumbled, pushing yourself further onto his body.
his eyes flickered to the bedside table again, where your pink fuzzy still rested. maybe he’ll use those next time, he thinks before joining you and falling asleep.

The Sade record crackles before your favorite song on the album begins drifting through the air. The birthday gift Joel gave you last year that made hot tears fall out of your eyes, just like him when you gave him a painting of Sarah and Ellie for his birthday that hangs in his woodworking space. Your birthday last year ended with 8 hours spent in the sheets, passed out by the end of it, Joel with a sore back for a week - yet claims it was worth it.
You look up at him right now, peering outside the large kitchen windows and spotting him pulling out carrots, in a tight shirt and his work jeans, arms flexing at the particularly stubborn ones. Banjo following along and sniffing inside Joel’s wicker basket filled with vegetables, his tail smacking into Joel’s side. Rosie and Posie bleating in the distance, their fuzzy woolen coats glowing in the sun, seeming to also take an interest in watching Joel work, just like you.
You hear Banjo’s excited barks before Joel closes the dog's mouth shut with his hand playfully, shaking Banjo’s head side to side lightly, riling him up. The sun starts to set behind them, past the fence surrounding your ranch, behind the tall Wyoming mountains. Orange, pink, and yellow, exploding in waves. The bees returning to their hives from the flower box in front of the kitchen windows.
You laugh when Banjo manages to knock Joel over lightly, the two tumbling onto the grass. Joel laughs too, holding the border collie back with his forearm as he tries to lick Joel’s face with all his might.
You smile to yourself as you get back to work, just as Sade starts singing about ‘his hands’ and ‘the way the mountains look’. Lost in the haze of measuring out ingredients, 2 and 3 quarter cups flour, a quarter cup of sugar. Feeling the weight of the ingredients slide into the bowl. Just as you see Joel slowly walk towards the chicken coup, Banjo waiting in the grass - knowing he’s not allowed there.
Milk and salt are next, and you drift over to the fridge to grab the milk, your long white skirt, embraced with abstract flowery patterns flows against your bare ankles as your toes feel the comforting wooden floors of your warm farm home that Joel made sure to install after you mindlessly talked about your love for warm wooden accents. Sat a 20-minute walk outside the walls of Jackson, a small distance away from Ellie’s farm, closer to the lush woods atop the hills.
As you settle back by the kitchen counter, lit up by warm - almost honey-colored rays of sunlight, you try to spot Joel amongst the chickens, but he seems to have vanished, Banjo too.
You glance around surprised for a moment, your eyes flitting from the coup to the vegetable patches, to the flower beds he planted for you, the fairy garden that he denies he took part in yet carved all of the little toadstool homes for you, and Ellie to paint, and even to Old Beardy grazing in the distance, yet Joel is nowhere to be found.
You even turn to the back door, yet there’s no sign of your man. How can a big teddy bear like him disappear in less than a minute?
You jump and let out an embarrassing squeak as a sudden flash of salt and pepper pops up right on the other side of the window pane. You clutch a hand over your chest as Joel’s face comes into view, his cheeky smile and scruffy beard. Utterly pleased with himself at his success in startling you.
You glare at him half-heartedly, trying to hide the smile that’s inching up your face.
He reaches into one of the large pockets in his jeans, and your attempt at hiding your smile fails when he pulls out a little yellow chick. He lifts it to your view, the little fluff ball wiggling and chirping, looking tiny in Joel’s large, dirty palms. His smile grows wider and tender as he sees you beam at the sight through the window.
He scratches the chick’s head with one of his fingers before walking back to reunite the yellow baby with its mama.
You laugh to yourself at his antics. At a grown, grizzly man, surprising you with a baby chicken. He’s a dork and doesn’t deny the allegations when they’re thrown his way.
Banjo runs circles around the vegetable garden just as the back door opens, closing softly with a click. Joel’s heavy footfall, accentuated by his boots, sounds behind you, getting softer as he heads to the guest bathroom. The house creaks and groans as the water turns on. You’re back to baking.
“Smells real good.”
He hums, his, now soft, footfall appearing once again as he approaches from behind you, burying his face in your neck and sniffling dramatically, you feel his wet beard and hair drip onto your neck, giving you goosies. He’s splashed his face and washed his hands, probably so he can distract you without your scolding.
“Me or the food, old man?” You ask with a smile, continuing to knead the dough.
“‘Mm, both.” He hums, rubbing his facial hair against your neck like a cat. You suspect he might start purring soon. It’s not unlike him, even though he ignores you when you tell him that he basically purrs while snuggling against your chest as you read whatever novel you two have picked aloud to him in the evenings.
“Cinnamon rolls, bread’s in the often.” You hum, tilting your head to the side so he can keep giving you his beard scratches. He starts nibbling too now. You sway your hips slightly to the music, and the way his hands fall to your hips tells you all you need to know.
“Cinnamon rolls.” He repeats amused, smiling against your skin, nibbling again to make you tut at him, grinning when you do.
“Ellie and Dina are comin’ over later.” You say as you grab the jar of cinnamon on the shelf, leaving Joel to step back and watch.
“They bringin’ JJ?” Joel asks, voice loosing his husky tiredness and instead replaced with a lighter sound.
“Yes baby, they’re bringing JJ.” You say with a soft smile, looking back at him only to find he’s disappeared once more. That man is silent as a mouse usually - a habit you suppose. Although, whenever he walks into the house, he does three stomps of his boots - just to make sure you know it’s him. He may have gone soft, but there are some things time will never strip away entirely. His knack for safety is one of them.
Just as you’re finished adding all the wet ingredients to your dry ones, you hear Joel in the living room lowering a box, a few things spilling out. An obnoxious squeak of a toy - you think it’s banjo’s plastic chicken that Joel hid away after the noise drove Joel so insane he accidentally beheaded a cowboy carving he was working on for a month. You catch Banjo’s head shoot up as if he got a sense that his long-lost soulmate is near. Joel hides the chicken away again quickly.
He’s brought out the small bundle of toys you two own - JJ’s toy box - Joel calls it, even made one of those shape sorters and toy soldiers for the little boy to play with, and asked you to paint them when he was done, as he does most of his carvings.
This is the one thing Joel doesn’t try to hide his excitement about. Whenever he sees JJ, or ‘potato’ as Ellie calls him, they might as well be the only people in the world. You think it’s the sweetest thing, makes you want to beg him to have a potato of your own, your body going into overdrive imagining how he’d look at your child while putting them to sleep, how he’d kiss their forehead softly.
Joel begins to organize the toys, placing the few dinosaurs, soldiers, and stuffed animals in a battle scene. The soldiers are apparently no match for the fluffy bear, as he’s flung them around in defeat.
Never did you think you’d see the day that Joel Miller would organize a battle scene between stuffed animals and wooden soldiers, just to see JJ’s face light up in excitement - like the little boy's face doesn’t already do that when he just sees Joel as the front door opens.
You manage to pull your eyes away and start folding your dough. Smiling to yourself at your sweet sweet man. Your stomach swoops the more you think, kneading the dough mindlessly as you’re painfully reminded how badly you want it. How badly you want him to pump you full, make you swell. You don’t even notice how your eyes have gone hazy, kneading the dough harder and harder until you jump at Joel’s big hands cupping your wrists from behind, pulling them upwards slightly to relax them. His beard tickles the fly always at the back of your neck as he kisses the soft skin there.
“What’s got my lady all worked up, hm?” He murmurs against your neck, kissing down the side and inhaling, almost like he wants to brand himself with you.
“You.” You whisper shakily, squeezing the dough slightly like an anchor. You feel his cheeky, boyish smile against your skin, only for a moment before he replaces that smirk with a nibble.
“Me?” He asked softly, planting his chin over your shoulder to watch as you ‘work’, definitely not to watch the way his calloused hands cup over your tits. The dough between your palms is the only thing keeping you stable right now.
“Yes, you.” It’s a breathy whisper, and although he doesn’t see it - Joel already knows your eyes are drooping when you tip your head back slightly, able to breathe in that perfect scent of him after he’s spent the day working in the sun. The musk that is uniquely Joel, that screams man man man.
“Don’t know what you mean, honey bee.” He hums, his mouth ghosting over your earlobe just as his thumbs circle over where your nipples are unfortunately hidden away from him. He knows exactly what you mean.
“Why don’t you head South and find out then, cowboy?” You tease, expecting a playful slap and pinch of your ass before he wanders off to the shower, but instead, you find his hands, then his whole self sliding down down down until his knees plant themselves on the floor.
“Gonna let me spoil my desert?” He hums, his hands sliding slowly up from your ankles, bringing your skirt with them, until he can see the little cotton-lace panties that are hidden underneath. He bites the soft swell of your right asscheek that the cotton doesn’t cover.
Your teeth sink into your bottom lip softly as you arch your back slightly, leaning your weight on the dough, squeezing harder as the soft caress of your thighs leaves you dripping - more so than before.
“You know I’d let you do anything.” You whisper to him, and it’s all he needs before you feel his calloused fingers on your lower back, sinking into your underwear before dragging them down, burying his head under your skirt.
He throws your panties somewhere, with a proper flick of his wrist. You can see them land somewhere in your periphery, the white lace discarded, very Joel-like in the most crude matter possible.
“Joel!-“ you begin to exclaim before his warm tongue parts your slick folds with an obscene sound. Slurping up the wetness he’s found as his calloused hands grip the front of your thighs. Squeezing tightly like it’ll let him get his tongue deeper into your pussy.
You almost want to laugh at what it must look like: his head buried under your long white skirt, like a ghost he probably dressed up as for Halloween. But fortunately for him, you can’t laugh when his mouth has sealed around the hood of your clit, when it’s hot hot hot and wet.
“Oh, Joel-” you moan in a breathless gasp, your head falling back and then forward as his tongue licks the underside of your clit, making you squeeze the poor dough for it’s life.
He groans into your pussy, tongue leaving your clit to lick side to side, sliding down your cunt until it’s breaching your drenched hole. His hands grip your ass-cheeks tightly, eating at you like it’s his last meal.
He pushes two of those thick fingers inside you, instantly curling forward so deliciously you think you might die. You lose your voice, moaning hoarsely as you clench around the intrusion. He starts moving his hand faster, paired with the suckling of his hot mouth on your clit, you’re not going to last much longer.
“Give it t’me baby- let me have it.” He whispers against you, and it’s his words that do it, as well as that final crook of his fingers that hit you right where you need him. You’re cumming with an intensity only he can give you. He slurps up all the wetness he can until you’re whining at him that it's ‘too much, too much’ and he stands. Gripping your chin between his thumb and pointer finger before kissing you deeply. Guiding his tongue into your mouth just as he had done your pussy.
“I love you.” He whispers against your lips, and your chest blooms, blinking up at him as he looks into your eyes with a calm tenderness like you’re exactly what he always dreamed of - like he lay awake at night as a little boy getting giddy at the thought that one day you might be real, and now you are, more importantly: you’re his, and he’s yours.
“I love you too.” You whisper back, kissing him once more before he’s once again lifting your hands from the dough, which now looks positively mixed from your absent-minded squeezing.
“‘M gonna go shower, baby.” He says softly, stepping back from you just as you turn to look at him.
“You’re gonna deny a woman her fun?” You ask with a raise of your eyebrow, looking down as he re-adjusts his jeans. His hands glancing at your ass before smirking at something you don’t see yet.
“You’ll get your fun later, baby.” He says with an amused smile, before he’s turning and heading upstairs. You sigh and look around the kitchen, laughing brightly as you see your panties dangling on the hook by the back door, how he flung them so far, you’ll never know.
There’s a knock at the door at 5pm sharp, and Joel bounds down the stairs before walking to the door, the creak of it sweet before the sounds of ‘hello!’ and ‘how’s it going, old man?’ ring through the house. You move away from the kitchen to great Dina and Ellie as they walk in, JJ already cooing excitedly in Joel’s arms as he hugs Dina, then Ellie from the side. Smiling widely at the little boy.
“Hey Els, Dina.” You say softly as Ellie gives you a tight squeeze, her mullet brushed neatly, most likely done by Dina. The Ellie you know would let her hair stick in every direction like the wild child she is and always will be.
“Smells good.” Ellie says softly, a hand on the small of Dina’s back before she’s walking to the kitchen to inspect what you’ve made. You see Ollie - JJ’s favorite toy elephant that Ellie won in the Jackson Fair at 19 - hanging out of her back pocket. You smile at the similarities between Joel and Ellie, clear that he raised her in subtle ways. The most obvious being her recent taking for boots, jeans and flannels. She goes over to Joel and JJ after that, crouching behind Joel who’s sat on the carpet by his battle scene, giving him a bear hug from behind.
The afternoon is spent chatting away with Dina, Ellie occasionally chiming in, yet all three of you mainly watch Joel and JJ playing on the living room rug. Your home is filled with the delighted laughter of a child. Ellie joins in soon too, taking on the role of the toy dinosaurs which makes JJ shriek with laughter as they attack Joel’s stuffed bear, then Joel himself.
Everything is warm.
You all eat together. Roasted Venison with salad and bread, cinnamon rolls later that JJ tries to devour whole while sitting on Joel’s lap - similarly to Ellie who sneaks an extra two with Joel in the kitchen when they think their respective partners aren’t looking.
They stay in the small cottage outside which Joel made sure was perfect before their arrival. JJ and Dina fast asleep as you, Ellie and Joel find place on the couch watching some cheesy action movie that Ellie picked. Just like old times when she was a young teenager. She still leans against Joel’s shoulder all the same. Both of his girls in his arms as lights flash across the screen. You glance up at his face once, and smile when seeing he looks as happy as can be.
He deserves this, he deserves to be happy. Even if he might not believe it, you do, and you’ll let hell freeze over before you stop trying to make him happy.
Ellie bids you goodnight before going to curl up in bed with Dina and JJ. Similarly to the way Joel follows up the stairs behind you as you make your way to the bathroom to get ready for bed. Smirking at the twinkle in his eye you see as you pull out his favorite night dress of yours
You’ve just finished up in the bathroom when you walk back into your shared bedroom. Joel shucking off his shirt, leaving him in his boxers. You admire his broad back in the low light of the bedroom. The shadows dusting along his muscles like rivers.
You float up behind him this time, your nose pressed to the line down his back, hands wrapped around his stomach.
“I want one.” You whisper into the quiet night, and it feels like you’re the only two people in the world. He turns to face you - you rest your chin on his chest and look up at him.
“Want what, darlin’?” He whispers softly, his thumb running over the apple of your cheek as he breaths softly. You can hear his heart beating, in sync with yours.
“A baby.” You whisper, and it’s so silent, so quiet. His eyes glimmer and brighten, his breath bated as he looks down at you.
“You want that with me, sweet girl?” He whispers, his voice suddenly hoarse and thick.
“More than anything.”
He kisses you deeply, his hand burying at the hair on the back of your head. Cupping the bowl of your skull so tenderly you can feel his love for you pulse through your veins. Your arms wrap rest on his broad shoulders.
“Me too, baby. Me too.” He whispers, and emotion wraps around your throat, as you can tell it does his when you see the shine in his sweet eyes.
You fall to the bed together, his boxers discarded as he makes quick work of your night gown. Kissing along your breasts until you’re driven so positively crazy you need him to soothe it with his mouth.
Your hand wraps around his shaft and you gaze into his eyes as they flutter slightly at the sensation of your fingers, his own meet you there, guiding him inside you until you both gasp softly at the sensation. He lets his hips push in all the way moments after. Your walls grip around him, the thick, hot - length of him, pushing its way through you until he fits into the space he’s made for himself within you. The noise of your wetness clenching around his girth as he holds himself over you on his strong forearms is nothing short of one of Joel’s favorite erotic sound.
“I love you, I love you so damn much.” He whispers, his large - paw like hand cupping your skull as he grinds his pelvis against your pulsing clit, listening to the soft shk shk shk as his cock twitches inside you, pushing up against that spot inside you that turns you stupid.
“I love you too.” You whimper, barely able to think past the way your eyes are rolling. He hasn’t even thrusted yet. You don’t catch the way he’s gazing down at you, like you’re the most beautiful thing he’s ever seen, like you own every part of his heart and soul, like you might as well be living and breathing within his ribcage : as if you’re the sole thing causing that glow he seems to have.
He starts moving, slow, deep slaps of his hips against yours. Holding you against him as you arch your back slightly, making sure he digs against that spot that drives you wild.
Your fingers dig red lines down his broad back. His head falling forward as he groans so deep and roughly you think you might die from being overly aroused. This man does things to you that you can’t even explain with words, your cries of pleasure seem to communicate it well enough though. Everything is hot and wet and sticky as he whispers into your ear.
“You’re gon’ be such a good mama- fuck darlin’ - take it, yeah-“ he groans into your ear, and your whole body shivers. You clench tighter around him, making him gasp slightly as his hand finds your clit. “Got me achin’ f’you all day baby-“ he whines - whines - into your ear, the soft skin of his balls drags against the curve of your ass, just like his tip dragging through your walls, taking you higher and higher until you can’t even hear the noises you’re making.
He rubs your clit harder, round and round on that pulsing nub until you open your eyes and see his disheveled face. Skin flushed, hair a mess, and his gaze fluttering as he moves his hips against you- his big strong body shining with sweat.
You’re done for.
You dig your heel into the soft flesh of his ass, pulling him closer and locking your legs around him, trapping him deep inside of you.
“Please cum inside me-“ you whimper, gazing into his eyes as he fights with all his might to make sure you cum first, his hand doesn’t let up on your clit, and you clench. “Please let me have it-“
His groan breaks into a soft whine as he drops onto his forearms, face right in front of yours, his nose bumping into your own. You can feel his harsh breaths against your swollen lips.
When you feel him start to fill you up on a slamming thrust, you cum with him, clenching tighter every time you feel one of his thick, sticky ropes shoot inside you while his cock twitches wildly inside you - his moans even sweeter than the sensation.
“Oh god, I love you-“ he whimpers, his moan cracking as you push him impossibly closer with your heel, his hands gripping the sheets next to your head for dear life. He kisses you messily, tiredly as you both lie there - sweaty and catching your breaths.
“I love you.” You whisper back to him, your hand running through his messy hair as you litter kisses along his damp forehead. He nuzzles into you like a big bear still inside you as he softens.
“You need somethin’?” He asks once he’s found his thoughts again, sitting up slightly before you pull him back down with an ‘oof ’.
“Just you.” You whisper back sleepily, your eyes closing shut as you bask in the feeling and love he gives you. You feel a soft kiss to your jaw. His hand splaying over your tummy.
“You got me, baby. Always.”

a/n: in a surprising twist, bunny has written call of duty again!! expect more cod stuff into december when the f1 season is over and it stops eating my brain <3
Tumblr media
john price considered himself a little old fashioned. he thought it was better to have his birdie of the week on her back and rut into her until they both finished. he had no need for whips, chains, collars, and whatever else the world of bdsm had to offer.
but after so many missions and so many years, the pollution of combat bled into his sexual desires. he craved for control, near domination of his birdie. yes, they looked cute on their backs and their soft noises. but it looked far more appealing to keep her blindfolded, second guessing what was being done to her while price's filthy words spilled across her brain like wine on a white carpet. tainting her. tainting you.
most dominants loved a trained submissive. loved that they knew the ins and outs of the dynamic, tinkering to their liking. price on the other hand had a thing for over eager virgins. ones who got all their bdsm know-how from horribly written fan fiction. he liked to teach and guide, he liked to shape his submissive into the perfect image of what could be.
and when he met you, oh, well something else came up. an unwavering possessive need. price tried to not get possessive, this was all just a little game for sexual pleasure. but when he found out his little trainee worked at a flower shop, it was all over for him. it was only doubled down when you had your first meeting at a coffee shop and you got the most delicious looking slice of strawberry shortcake.
the cream on the corner of your mouth almost made john price lose resolve. instead he covered up with a cough before you asked, "do you want some, mister price." and who was john price to deny such a lovely girl her offer. you even fed it to him, a glimmer in your eye and gentle smile.
"it's lovely, baby girl." he said before he wiped a bit of the cream off his beard which made you giggle. that giggle seared into his brain and he knew that you weren't getting with any other man.
you met at his flat a few weeks later, and you were eager. price liked that. sex was only half as fun when the person he was fucking was almost having a good time. you came over in a big sweatshirt and jeans that were a little baggy, something that covered up. it made price curious as to what was hiding underneath.
"look beautiful, birdie." he said as he guided you inside and you got your sneakers off. you looked over at him to help you through the flat. you held onto him a little nervous, the only familiar thing in the place. price held you by the middle and let you press your face up against his strong chest.
he was in a flannel with a white undershirt and jeans. you could see the gold chain around his throat and the heavy chest hair. you had seen him naked from photos shared and he had seen you naked, but to feel it up close left a shiver of excitement through you. he leaned down and kissed you on the top of your head as he led you to the bedroom.
he said, "afterwards, i'll make ya some dinner. not the best chef, but, i can cook ya somethin' to replenish the energy you spent fucking me." he then ruffled your hair, which made your heart leap and he got you onto the bed.
you nodded meekly, you looked so small. so innocent. a girl like you should be on dated with finance guys or even the artsy kind. not a weathered, older military man like him. but even things in smaller packages can be surprising, just like when you took off your clothes and revealed a matching set of bra and panties. a soft grey colour with pastel yellow accents. it made price have to adjust himself in his jeans.
"ah, pretty girl got a surprise for me. how sweet?"
you nodded, "i wanted to make tonight special. good luck for a long... dynamic between us. so, you don't get rid of me if i suck." and soon you were in price's embrace while you still sat on the bed. your cheek pressed hard against his soft but firm middle.
he petted your head a little and said, "ah, don't worry, petal. even if you do bad tonight, i got every intention of trainin' ya. make you the perfect girl." the words spoken hit right to your core and when he pulled away long enough to strip down, you felt your eyes go wide for a moment.
a photo couldn't capture every inch of john price's skin. the scars, the tattoos, the hair, the muscle, the fat. he was like a big brown bear and it made you soaked. you shifted a little in your spot on the bed and rubbed your thighs together in anticipation. it was surprising that you were still a virgin, but you always chickened out. now as an adult, you wanted to just get it over with. but, you wanted to have fun. and why not have fun with a well experienced dom who wouldn't half-ass your first time. it didn't hurt that he had the kind of looks that would make any man with half a brain jealous.
"i hope i meet expectations." he chuckled as he put his hands on his hips. his cock stood at full attention and you swallowed. there was something so masculine about him, but not in a toxic way. he played with your hair once more before he patted your cheek, "no need to gawk, petal. i'm not goin' anywhere." and you swallowed. he chuckled before he got into bed with you and slowly unwrapped you of your lingerie like delicate christmas paper.
he hadn't been this excited to upwrap something since he got the toy firetruck as a kid. but in total fairness, you were hotter than any fire red truck. his hands grazed across your body with total tenderness and his hungry blue eyes gazed the skin.
the stretch marks, the moles, your own scarring. you were beautiful in ways that price couldn't describe. to compare you to something would be unfair to the thing being compared to your beauty. he took you by the wrist and kissed the center of it.
"this is a promise, petal. for as long as you keep me as your dominant and you my submissive, i with cherish you, adore you, and most of all. make sure that you cum over and over again." before he kissed you on the lips and got you onto your back. he admired you, "usually i like to take pretty things on their hands and knees. but, tonight's gotta be special, right, doll?"
you nodded.
he tapped your nose and said, "ah, ah, ah. that won't cut it. the words are 'yes, sir', got it? would hate to bruise that little behind during our first time."
you found your voice and said, "yes, sir." and was met with a rough pat on the cheek before price pulled away to rest on his knees to fuck you with just right. you felt heat course through your body as you took in the sight of him. burly, large from top to bottom.
course dark hair on his body, a little heft in his middle (but who didn't love that), a sparkle in his blue eyes, and hands large enough to break things between the digits. he admired you in return and said softly, "pretty little petal, yeah? ah, who let ya be so beautiful?" he chuckled as he rubbed his cock up against your slick sex, "i got so much to teach ya. how to tie ya up, how to gag ya properly. mmm, we'll have so much fun." he then pulled away to grab a condom from the nightstand. he held up the silver foil to you and said, "rule one, play safe or don't play at all."
you nodded and remembered to reply, "yes, sir."
price gave you a smile that lit you up and said, "good girl." then quickly got the condom on. he admired your soaked sex for a moment longer, "she achin' for me, huh? cute." then slowly, almost agonizingly, he inched into you and felt the spread of warmth through his body.
heaven was created with your pussy in mind. price was never a quick finisher, but he almost finished inside of you when he managed to get all of himself inside of you. he kept eyes and ears open, the type of examining done in his line of work, to make sure that you weren't in too much pain.
"ya alright?"
you nodded and swallowed.
price added, "baby girl. words." and then nodded his head when you replied that everything was okay, he nodded and said, "roger that." which made you pussy clench. a smile spread across price's face as he leaned forward. he captured your hands in his and pressed them to the bed under you. he chuckled lowly, "ah, someone likes a military man? a man in uniform gets ya goin'?" he kissed your pulse point, "ah, too cute, petal. i guess seeing that on my description didn't scare ya off." he rocked against you, "know it's a crime to mess up a man's uniform."
you swallowed, "sir. fuck." and felt the strike of heat through your body. you had to admit, you had seen a few photos of him in uniform. the beret, boots and all. and it made something turn in your stomach. only added an appeal to him that made you hot.
price replied, "i guess it worked out. because i like cute little civilians who are more than eager to make me feel good. doin' your civic duty makin' me cum, baby girl." these was a tension in his voice that made you heart hammer and your throat feel tight. the bed squeaked a little under the both of you as he continued his movements. he knew he was going to have an amazing time with you.
you whined, "please, sir."
"tell me. tell me what ya like about it? what gets my baby girl goin'? i gotta know, because maybe i can get somethin' together that'll rock your world." his words were hot and your cunt fluttered around his achy, hard cock. for a moment he was uncertain if you were actually a virgin, you took him so well.
you moaned when you felt a spark of pleasure in your core, your entire life had just been your hands and an assortment of toys. but to have price work your body beautifully was something else. you replied sweetly, "i... i want to thigh ride you in uniform." you felt a flush of embarrassment.
he chuckled, "oh that would be quite the sight, huh?" he continued to move against you beautifully, "i bet that i could make ya cum just from my thighs. rub your cunt all over it, messin' up the fabric. higher-ups will be wonderin' about the pussy stains all over the fabric. maybe if i'm lucky i'll get some of your wetness in my beard. let 'em smell you on me." and well, that excited you deeply.
you arched your back a little bit, but price kept you pinned perfectly under him. you tightened your thighs around him and he continued to work your body. it wasn't rough sex, but it also wasn't boringly soft either. he worked you at a steady pace, like a man with immense stamina. he eyed the bounce of your breasts and he moved against you.
he licked his lips at the sight of you, "baby girl." he purred, "you're a dirty girl. but don't worry." he soon held onto your wrists instead of your hands, a further act of domination, "i like 'em dirty. i like girls i can sink my teeth into. soon enough you won't be able to cum unless it's my fingers, tongue or cock in you. ya got the kind of soft skin that would bruise perfectly. but be careful, petal, i can be quite mean with a paddle." and it was met with a heavy moan. music to his ears.
you had never been spoken to like this before, but it excited you. you wanted to be price's dirty girl any day of the week. you felt excitement cross over you as he picked up the pace. the two of you fucked heavily and it left a taste of want in your mouth. this was better than anything you hoped for. it wasn't just that price checked boxes on a superficial level, he knew exactly how to make you squirm and moan. heavy noises came from your mouth as he worked your achy cunt, you felt amazing.
"ya like knowin' that i'm your first. big, scary captain makin' a mess of the sweetest cunt in the world. knowin' in a way, i got ya for life." he licked his lips. he liked that you were pure in that way, call him old fashioned. but knowing that he got to have you first was sort of like getting the first slice of cake at a party. something he wished to sweetly devour. and with you it was with heavy thrusts and filthy words. taint you to his liking.
you whined as you clenched your fists, you tensed up and he loved the feeling. he could almost read your mind with how sweet you felt. he could nearly feel your heartbeat as he fucked you. he loved the sight of you, you looked damn near perfect under him. you said between heavy pants, "please, sir. fuck, please!"
"feel good, petal? like how i take you." he moved against you further and it left him feeling the anticipation for climax. he continued to fuck your sweet body, working every last centimeter of warm skin, "remember, ya gotta ask me to cum."
his movements were overwhelming, his pace left you feeling breathless. and in your first lesson of intimacy, you croaked out, "can i cum, sir? please, i need to cum."
and price could be a giving man. he looked down at you, haze in those blue eyes as he said, "of course, baby girl. cum for me, cum for your captain." and swore under his breath as you beautifully came apart for him. he held onto your wrists tighter and groaned. it paired nicely with your sweet little moans.
"sir! fuck!" you gasped as you clenched around him. you finished and it only prompted him to move faster while you laid in such a blissed out state. no one had made you finish like that, not even your own nimble digits.
but price was just that good.
the bed creaked further and the headboard hit against the beige wall of the bedroom. he fucked you faster and made sure to cram every inch inside of you. with a few more heavy strokes, he finished into of you with a heavy groan. he fucked you through his climax before he slowed to a stop.
he wiped the sweat from his forehead and exhaled deeply, "beauty, beauty. where has the world been hidin' ya from me." he chuckled as he kissed you on the lips. you melted against him and moaned.
when he pulled out, he got up with a creak in his hip to throw out the condom before he was back in bed with you. you were both naked under the covers as price traced your form with his calloused fingers. the roughness on your soft skin made you shiver.
"how about it, lovie." he said in that low, gruff tone of his. his hand grazed across your side and behind, "how about i invite the boys over and their little birdies and we can have a little playdate. introduce you to the group."
you swallowed, "play... date?"
price pulled you closer. he held onto you the way someone would hold a stuffed animal. he smiled at you, "don't worry, petal. no one's gettin' their hands on ya. not while i'm still breathin'." his voice was tinged with a possessiveness. you nodded in response and he added, "besides, i know i'll make the boys nice and jealous with you." he chuckled, "my beautiful baby girl." then kissed you on the lips.
you could only imagine what would happen at a playdate with price's friends and their submissives. it also didn't help that it made you a little excited as well. <3

Radio Silence | Chapter Thirty-Two
Lando Norris x Amelia Brown (OFC)
Series Masterlist
Summary — Order is everything. Her habits aren’t quirks, they’re survival techniques. And only three people in the world have permission to touch her: Mom, Dad, Fernando.
Then Lando Norris happens.
One moment. One line crossed. No going back.
Warnings — Autistic!OFC, so much fluff, strong language
Notes — This is my favourite chapter so far. Out of all 32. It's also a long one, so grab a snack and send me your thoughts!
2023 (Belgium — Japan)
The light in Nice always felt soft, like it was passing through a filter of sea salt and old stone. The sun hadn't reached its full height yet, and the market was still in that gentle hum of mid-morning, not too busy, not too still. Just alive enough.
Lando walked half a step behind Amelia, letting her pace guide them through the maze of stalls and awnings. She wasn't a talker in the mornings, not really, and that suited him just fine.
She stopped at the long flower stand, fingers trailing over a bunch of pale yellow ranunculus. He didn't say anything, just watched her examine the petals with her usual precise sort of softness. Then, after a pause, she looked back at him and tilted her head slightly.
He reached into his back pocket, pulled out a crumpled bill, handed it to the vendor without a word. Amelia's lips curved just a bit.
Two stalls later, she passed him a tiny basket of sliced figs drizzled in honey. He didn't ask where she'd gotten it or how much it cost. He just took it and pressed a kiss to her temple, because of course she would know he was hungry before he even had a chance to say anything.
They moved like that; in orbit, but in sync.
At one point, a vendor selling lavender soap called out to them in a thick accent, something about being a "cute young couple." Lando smiled, striking up a polite conversational exchange. Amelia didn't say anything. After they passed the stall, she reached down and laced her fingers through his, without looking.
She didn't do that often — didn't like to be the one to initiate physical contact, especially in public.
He felt it in his heart every time she did.
They stopped near a stall selling fresh olive bread, and Amelia pulled out her phone, tapping something into her notes app. Lando leaned over.
"What's that?" he asked, voice low and warm.
"List of food I like," she murmured. "Reminding myself."
He nodded. She paused, then handed him the phone wordlessly. There were twenty-seven bullet points. He scrolled through them.
"You liked the brown seeded rolls yesterday too. With the chilli jam," he said. "I'll add that."
She didn't reply. Just looked at him for a long second, then blinked, slow and deliberate. That was the silent Amelia version of I love you — subtle, but unmistakable.
They wandered on.
At the end of the market, they sat at a chipped café table and shared a small tart filled with goat cheese and roasted tomato. Amelia leaned into his side without thinking, her head resting on his shoulder as she chewed, still watching the crowds drift by.
Lando let his hand fall into her lap and tangle gently in the fabric of her skirt. Hers moved to rest over his without needing to look.
They didn't speak much.
And that was the thing with them. It wasn't just that they loved each other — it was that they understood how the other one loved. In gestures. In silence. In half-smiles and shared fruit and shoulders leaned into shoulders in beautiful, morning-sleepy cities.
The MTC sim room was cool and quiet, lit by the blue glow of monitors and the soft hum of tech. Amelia stood with her arms folded, watching the data stream from Oscar's run, her expression intensely focused. She didn't speak until the run ended and the rig slowed to stillness.
"Turn 7's still sloppy," she said bluntly.
Oscar pulled off the headset and blinked at her. "Define 'sloppy.'"
"Four degrees too aggressive on throttle reapplication. You're losing rotation mid-corner, which is fine when tyre life doesn't matter, but it will in Spa." She passed him a tablet with the graph already up. "Look."
Oscar studied it. "You memorise this?"
"I don't memorise, per se. I just... know it." She paused. "I'm pattern-oriented. You keep breaking the pattern. It's very irritating."
Lando, seated cross-legged on the floor beside the second sim rig, laughed. "She's not wrong. You are driving like a goat on ice in that sector."
Oscar shot him a look. "You crashed in Miami trying to out-brake a Williams."
"Shut up, mate." Lando stood, brushing imaginary dust off his joggers. "Alright, my turn. Fix me, genius wife."
Amelia arched a brow. "You want feedback?"
"I'm asking for it, yeah."
"Good luck," Oscar muttered, climbing off the rig.
They traded places, and Amelia slid the headset onto Lando with surprising gentleness, muttering something under her breath that only he could hear. Whatever it was made him grin.
Lando's sim run was cleaner, smoother — but not perfect. He clipped a curb on Lap 3, losing the rear slightly. Amelia exhaled loudly through her nose.
"You always hit that curb," she said. "Every year. Just lift earlier."
"I'm trying. The curb keeps coming at me," he groaned, throwing her a grin through the screen.
"Don't be stupid," she shot back.
Oscar snorted. "She's brutal today."
"She's always brutal." Lando sighed. "But it's helpful, so..." he shrugged.
Eventually his run ended. Amelia crossed to his console and tapped a few notes in; suggested setup tweaks, minor aero preferences. Lando watched her hands work.
"You're so smart, baby. How do you do it, hm?"
She didn't look up. "I watch. I notice things. I write them down. Easy"
He smiled. "You're like a high-functioning racetrack AI."
Oscar added dryly, "That occasionally hits things when she's angry."
"That too," Lando agreed, with a lopsided smirk.
Amelia looked up at both of them, expression unreadable for a beat. Then she said, very softly, "You're idiots."
Oscar grinned. "That's a compliment from you."
Lando moved to nudge her shoulder, but she stepped out of reach — except not out of irritation, just anticipation. She knew exactly what was coming.
"You're going to try to gang up on me now," she stated.
Lando blinked. "Why would we—"
Oscar pounced first, grabbing her wrist and lightly jabbing at her side. "We would never," he said with mock innocence.
Amelia shrieked and jerked away, but Lando joined in, carefully — always mindful of her reactions, but not holding back so much that it felt patronising. His fingers found her ribs, tickling just enough to get her laughing — real, loud, unfiltered laughter.
"Stop! I hate this!" she wheezed, kicking at the air as she twisted out of reach.
"You're smiling," Oscar said.
"That's involuntary!" She yelped, breathless.
They finally relented, letting her drop onto the padded bench near the wall, still catching her breath. Her face was flushed, her hair askew, and she looked... radiant with happiness.
"Jerks," she muttered, but her voice was light.
"You love us," Lando said, crouching beside her.
"Only sometimes," she said flatly.
Behind them, just outside the glass-panelled door, Zak stood watching.
He hadn't meant to intrude. He'd only come by to drop off a briefing packet. But when he'd seen the three of them — his daughter, laughing and safe, surrounded by two young men who not only respected her mind but held her heart with equal reverence — he'd stayed where he was.
He didn't move. Didn't interrupt. Just watched for a little while longer.
Amelia, who'd grown up unsure of where she fit. Amelia, who used to hide in closets with puzzle books. Amelia, who didn't make friends easily but somehow had forged these bonds — raw, steady, honest — with Oscar and Lando. A best friend and a husband.
Zak blinked hard.
When Lando looked up a few minutes later and spotted him, he just gave a little nod. Not a word passed between them.
Zak nodded back and slipped away.
Inside the sim suite, Amelia stood again, brushing herself off.
"Back to work!"
Lando and Oscar groaned in unison.
"Fine," she said. "But if either of you miss apexes like that in Spa, I'll point and laugh at you on live television."
"You'd love that," Oscar said.
"She would," Lando added. "Humiliation. She likes embarrassing us."
Amelia just smirked, already queuing up the next run. "Well. I'm not ruling it out."
And as the next session loaded, the screen filling with the digital outline of the track, she brought her hand up to apply a heavy load of pressure to her hip.
Grounding. Safe.
Later, much later, the sim rigs had powered down for the night.
Amelia sat alone on the low bench, knees pulled up to her chest, arms wrapped around them. Not in discomfort; she wasn't overwhelmed. She was just... processing.
Oscar had ducked out a few minutes earlier, mumbling something about protein bars and his "cramped spine." Lando had promised to bring back coffee. That left her here, in the comfortable lull, with space to think.
Oscar.
It had taken her a while to really begin to understand Oscar Piastri on a personal level. He was quiet, like her. Dry, like chalk. Flat-voiced in a way that people often mistook for aloofness. But Amelia had recognised it immediately — that instinct for silence. The calm observation. The way he didn't try to fill air that didn't need filling.
He had become somewhat like a younger brother to her — not in the way people throw that phrase around when they mean someone's simply "less experienced," but in the very real, familial sense. She worried about him. Checked his telemetry obsessively. Snuck 'drink water/have a snack' notes into his strategy folder. Looked for signs of overwork in his eyes before every qualifying session.
And he, in the way Oscar was able, quietly looked after her too.
He never flinched at her directness. Never called her intense or difficult or cold when she snapped out instructions without pleasantries. In fact, he appreciated it. He understood that when she called something "icky," it wasn't a personal attack; it was an opportunity for precision.
After a race where she'd gotten particularly sharp with him over comms, he'd found her in the engineering room, dropped a packet of salted pretzels on her desk, and said, simply, "You were right. I just wasn't ready to hear it in the moment."
And that was all.
That was the kind of person Oscar was. He saw her and he didn't need to explain that he did.
And then there was Lando.
The loud to her quiet. The warmth to her ice. The one person on earth who could decipher her entire emotional state by the mere shape of her shoulders, or the angle of her fingers curled around a water bottle.
They were married now, still new enough to feel surreal when people called her "Mrs. Norris" in emails, but the foundation they stood on had been built long before the vows. He was the only person she could touch when her skin physically hurt from overstimulation. The only one who could joke with her during a meltdown and have it feel safe instead of cruel.
Lando understood her chaos. He never tried to change her, only to interpret.
Like when they were in the grocery store, and she couldn't bear the way the overhead lights buzzed, and he just... squeezed her hand once, without saying anything, and then diverted them to the sunglasses section and slid a funky pair onto her nose.
Or tonight, when she'd needed the sim session to be productive, and he'd let her lead, followed her notes, asked questions only when her tone said she was open to them.
And then — when she was finally starting to relax, he'd poked her ribs and made her laugh until she curled up on the floor.
Lando gave her a kind of emotional mirroring she'd never thought possible. Like her feelings were real and reflected, but never judged. He loved her not just in spite of who she was, but because of it. Bluntness, hyper-focus, sharp tongue, and all.
Very quickly, Lando and Oscar had become one of her safe zones.
One was home. The other had become family. Both made the world feel a little less jagged.
She rested her cheek against her knees and exhaled.
They didn't tiptoe around her needs. They didn't act like they were noble for understanding. They didn't talk about her like she was a puzzle or a pet project. They just treated her like Amelia; sharp, driven, autistic, brilliant, flawed, enough.
It was rare to feel seen. Rarer still to feel seen and protected.
The door eased open then, and Lando returned, holding two takeaway cups. He handed her one wordlessly, sat down beside her, and bumped her knee with his.
"Hey, baby. You okay?" He asked.
"Yeah." Her voice was soft. "Just thinking."
"Dangerous."
She smiled. "I'm just feeling grateful, actually."
Lando tilted his head. "For?"
"You," she said simply. "Oscar. All of it."
He didn't tease her this time. Just leaned his head against hers for a second, warm and grounding.
"You're my person," he murmured. "My wife. My love."
She nodded. "I know." She whispered. "And you're mine."
Spa
The rain hadn't started yet, but it always smelled like it was about to in Spa. The mountains curled thick and green around the paddock, clouds hanging low. Amelia tugged her Quadrant hoodie sleeves over her hands and squinted at her tablet. Oscar's long run data looked steady, rear temps maybe a touch high, but manageable.
She heard the approach before she looked up. Soft-footed, deliberate. Someone in flats, not heels.
Oscar appeared first. Then, behind him, a woman with the exact same eyebrows and the same unbothered stillness in her eyes.
"Amelia," Oscar said, ever direct, "this is my mum."
Nicole Piastri smiled. warm and unfussy. "Nicole. It is so lovely to finally meet you."
Amelia didn't immediately move. Not because she didn't want to, but because her brain caught on the sudden shift in social rules; the expectation to greet, to be personable, to be human-shaped instead of work-shaped. She blinked once, then reflected the woman's smile as best as she could.
"Hi," she said. "Sorry. I was looking at tyre deltas. My brain's still... there."
Nicole just smiled. "Oscar warned me."
Amelia turned her head. Furrowed her brows. "Warned you?"
"He said you'd be brilliant but a bit intense. That I'd like you." Her tone was easy. No condescension, no forced warmth. Just observation.
Oscar folded his arms. "Didn't say 'a bit intense.' That was Mum's addition."
Nicole raised a brow. "You said she made a Ferrari engineer cry once."
Amelia blinked again. "He ignored my pit safety brief three times."
Nicole laughed, not unkindly, and that was the moment Amelia relaxed, just a fraction.
"I like your son," Amelia said simply.
"I'd hope so," Nicole replied. "You're guiding him."
Amelia nodded. "He listens. He understands things without needing them repeated. He's good."
Nicole gave her a look. "He's also stubborn and sometimes pretends he isn't tired when he absolutely is."
Oscar made a wounded sound. "Mum."
"True," Amelia said, folding her arms. "I've started watching for the eye-rubbing thing. It's his tell."
Nicole grinned. "Exactly."
There was a beat. A moment of quiet. Amelia stepped back slightly, giving herself a little more breathing room from the interaction. Nicole didn't follow, didn't press. She just let the silence exist.
That, more than anything, made Amelia feel at ease.
"You're welcome to come sit in for the long-run review," she said. "If you want."
Nicole's eyebrows lifted. "You'd let a driver's mum sit in?"
Amelia shrugged. "If it were any other mum, maybe not. But you raised Oscar. And he doesn't let nonsense slide. So I assume neither do you."
Nicole beamed, warm and wide. "You really are as blunt as he said."
Amelia nodded. "I'm autistic. Directness is safer for everyone."
Nicole, without missing a beat: "Well, I'm Australian. Directness is our native language."
Oscar looked between them, then shook his head with a half-smile. "This is going to be terrifying."
"Don't be dramatic," Amelia said, already turning back to her screen.
Nicole patted Oscar's shoulder, but her eyes lingered on Amelia with quiet gratitude.
She saw it.
Not just the brilliance, but the care.
And for a mother watching someone else guide her son at 300 km/h, that mattered more than anything.
It had rained sometime during the night — Amelia had heard it, soft and steady against the hotel room window, the kind of sound that settled right into soul and lulled her into deeper sleep. But now the world outside was damp and quiet, and inside, everything smelled like Lando: clean cotton, a little citrus, faint cologne lingering from yesterday's press outfits.
She was already awake. Always woke up earlier on race days.
Propped against the headboard, hair still messy from sleep, she had her iPad balanced on her knees — telemetry overlays already pulled up from FP3, tyre strategy notes highlighted in orange and blue.
The bed shifted as Lando stirred beside her.
"Mm... it's so early," he mumbled, voice rough and slow. "Why are you working already?"
"I'm not working," she replied, glancing down at him without shifting her hands. "I'm just reviewing."
He cracked one eye open. "That's working."
"I'm not writing anything new," she said. "I'm checking the data I already have. That can't be classed as work."
Lando groaned dramatically and rolled onto his side to face her. One arm wrapped around her waist and pulled her back down into the pillows, iPad and all.
She made a small protesting noise, stiff in the unfamiliar position, but didn't push away.
"You're not a robot," he murmured against her shoulder. "You're allowed to spend your morning being sleepy and stupid—like me."
"I know," she said. Bbut being still had always been difficult. There was always something to check, a variable to account for. "But I always feel better when I've gone over it one extra time."
He was quiet for a moment. Just breathing. Then he kissed the bare slope of her shoulder, soft and deliberate.
"Alright," he whispered. "One more time. And then you let it go for an hour. Just long enough to have breakfast. With me."
She didn't answer straight away. He felt her fingers tap lightly against the back of his hand — the same rhythm he'd learned years ago. The one that meant she was thinking. Processing.
Then, finally, she turned her head and nudged his forehead with hers.
"Okay," she said. "One hour."
He smiled, satisfied.
They stayed like that for a while. Her eyes flicking between data points. His thumb tracing lazy circles against her hip beneath the blanket. They didn't need to speak — didn't need to fill the air with reassurance. That was the magic of it, really. They understood each other in silences too.
Eventually, Amelia closed the iPad with a decisive click.
"Tyre data's solid," she said quietly. "Oscar'll be fine. Track temps are stable. We're good."
Lando pressed a kiss just beneath her ear. "You always say that. And you're always right."
"I'm not always right," she replied, voice flat but self-aware. "But I am today."
He laughed and leaned up on one elbow, eyes crinkling. "God, I love it when you sound like that."
"Like what?"
"Like you believe that we're going to win."
She blinked, then tilted her head a little. "You are going to win. Or close to it. I can feel it."
"Feel it, huh?"
"Yes. Based on my extensive logic and my faith in both of you."
"That's a dangerous combo." He grinned, then leaned down to kiss her — soft, not rushed. The kind of kiss people only share when they've been through everything together and still feel like choosing each other again in the quiet moments.
When he pulled back, her hand was resting lightly against his jaw.
"You good?" he asked. "Like... really good? For today?"
She thought about it. Then nodded. "Yeah. I'm regulated. My head's clear."
He smiled at that — the way she named her emotional state like an engineer running diagnostics. He loved that about her. Loved that she'd learned to say it, and that she trusted him with the truth.
"Then let's go race," he whispered, forehead pressed to hers.
And for a few more seconds, they just breathed, tangled together in a warm, sleepy cocoon, before the noise and chaos of race day swept them back into the world.
But for now, in this tiny window of stillness, they had each other.
— The air was heavy. Dense with mist, thick with tension, and wet enough that Amelia had already pre-loaded five different strategy trees before the lights went out.
Oscar had out-qualified Lando again.
She was laser-focused on Turn 1. Always Turn 1. Always La Source.
Amelia's fingers hovered over her tablet. Not touching—just tapping in the air beside it in a rhythm: four slow, one sharp. Then again. And again.
She didn't have to think as she walked Oscar through the formation lap. It came to naturally now, like a dance you couldn't forget.
Lights out.
"Oscar launch good," came one of the spotters in her ear.
She blinked. Tracked the orange blur to the inside line.
Then a flash of red, Sainz's Ferrari. sweeping across far too aggressively.
The sound in her headset crackled with team chatter, voices overlapping. She tuned most of them out and locked in on Oscar's feed just in time to see his onboard camera jolt. Not a bump. A collision.
The screen stuttered. Then black.
"Yellow flag. Incident Turn 1. Piastri, Sainz. Debris."
Amelia didn't speak.
"Amelia?" It was one of the performance engineers. "Oscar's saying steering is compromised. Damage right side—maybe suspension."
Still, she didn't speak. She tapped once against her palm. Hard. Her throat clenched. The pads of her fingers tingled like they did when she short-circuited.
She hit the comms.
"Oscar. Talk to me."
"Yeah—um—something's broken. I can't turn right properly. Think it's done."
And it was. Less than a lap.
She closed her eyes, just for a second, trying not to fall into the spiral. Not here. Not now. There was a job to do, Lando was still out there, but Oscar was her driver. Her ducky. He trusted her implicitly. And now, for no fault of his own, he was crawling back to the garage with a wounded car and nothing to show for it.
The red mist tried to rise in her chest—anger first. Not at Oscar. Not even really at Carlos. Just at the sheer waste of it. The injustice. The gut-punch of preparation ruined by recklessness. The voice in her head hissed, He finished the sprint in P2 yesterday. He deserved better than this.
She pulled her noise-cancelling headset tighter. The extra pressure helped, grounding her in physical sensation. She curled her toes in her shoes and focused on her breath.
Lando's voice broke through on the other channel, calm despite the chaos.
"Hey—did Oscar retire?"
Will gestured for her to respond.
"Yeah," she said, quietly. Then louder, "Yes. First corner damage. Focus up."
"Copy." A pause. Then softer, "That sucks."
It did. It sucked.
But Amelia didn't get to crumble, even though every part of her was fraying. She was still on the pit wall. Still working. Still leading.
Oscar's car was pushed back into the garage. She caught sight of him from across the paddock—helmet off, jaw clenched, walking quickly past the media scrum with his shoulders stiff. She didn't call him over. Not yet. He needed a minute. So did she.
By the time Lando crossed the line in P7, she was steady again. Not okay. But functioning.
Oscar was sitting on a flight case, race suit peeled to his waist, water bottle tucked under one knee. Amelia sat beside him without asking.
"You alright?" She asked.
He gave a dry laugh. "I made it fifty seconds. New record."
She didn't try to make him feel better. That wasn't her way. Instead, she said, "You made the right decision boxing the car immediately instead of dragging a damaged car around the track. Steering arm was shattered. You did everything right."
He nodded, but his mouth was tight.
She nudged her elbow against his.
"Still proud of you," she said.
He finally looked at her. "Even after I didn't finish a lap?"
"Especially then," she replied. "You stayed calm. You brought it back safe. You're my driver, Oscar. One racing incident that ends badly for us doesn't erase that."
His eyes softened, just a little. "You're getting sappy."
She rolled her eyes. "No I'm not. I don't even know what that means."
That made him laugh, a small honest noise, and she counted that as a win.
They had a brief respite in Monaco before heading to Zandvoort.
They looked at a few apartments. Didn't like any of them.
When they arrived at Max's place for dinner on the Wednesday, he took one look at their downtrodden expressions and laughed. "It is always more difficult the second time."
Zandvoort
The race at Zandvoort was marked by unpredictable weather. Lando finished P7, while Oscar managed to finish just inside of the points — P9.
Amelia saw it all unfold from the pit wall, her eyes scanning the monitors. The intermittent rain was a nightmare.
After the race, she found Lando in the garage, reviewing data.
"You did well," she commented.
He looked up, surprised. "Yeah?"
She nodded. "You adapted to the conditions very well."
He cracked a smile, pulling her into a brief embrace. "Thanks, baby."
That night, as they lay in bed, the sound of rain tapping against the window, Amelia whispered, "I'm really, really happy, Lando."
Lando tightened his hold on her.
They escaped to Lake Como for a short break between race weekends.
On the first morning of their mini vacation, they took a boat out onto the lake. Amelia sat at the bow, the wind tousling her hair.
"This place is so beautiful," she said. "Everything looks like something you'd see in a movie. Or on Pinterest."
Lando was steering the boat. He glanced at her and nodded toward his disposable camera, "Take some pictures, baby."
She picked it up and brought it up to her eye, squinting through the mini viewfinder.
He watched her fondly.
Monza
At Monza, Lando finished P8.
Things didn't go so well for Oscar.
Amelia let her head fall into her hands as the confirmation of the penalty came from the FIA.
"Shit," she muttered.
Her dad gave her a sympathetic grimace.
Japan
Amelia's fingers were a blur. Tip of her pen flicking rapidly against the plastic corner of the radio console. Three taps, pause. Three taps, pause. She hadn't even noticed the motion — her go-to stim when her body couldn't contain everything pressing up behind her ribcage.
Oscar was crossing the line. P2. Behind Max, of course; but ahead of Charles, ahead of Lewis.
And Lando... Lando was P3.
"Piastri, across the line — that's P2! Double podium for McLaren!"
The garage exploded; engineers leaping into the air, radios dropped, shoulders clapped, bodies turned into celebratory chaos.
But Amelia stayed locked in her seat at the pit wall, still staring at the screen, her breath stuck like static in her chest.
She couldn't move. Not yet.
Oscar's voice cracked through her headset, just the barest edge of disbelief in his normally even tone.
"Holy shit. Amelia. We did it."
She exhaled sharply, finally, a sound like relief and triumph tangled together.
"You drove it," she said, her voice clipped but shaking. "You followed every direction. Managed the tyres well in every stint. Well done, ducky."
"Wouldn't have got here without your mad plans." He was laughing, light and breathless. "Tell me I wasn't hallucinating this whole race."
"You weren't," she said, and suddenly her throat closed up, emotion catching on the edges of her usually flat tone. "This is real."
Will's hand landed on her shoulder, not jarring, just grounding, and she blinked up at him, eyes wide and wet.
"You can go," he said softly. "Garage's already heading to parc fermé."
She stood on instinct, legs shaky. Her hands were flapping now — the stim automatic, rapid-firing like her brain needed somewhere to put the excess. Pride, relief, noise, lights — it was too much. And it was perfect.
The second she caught sight of them — Lando and Oscar, helmets off, both laughing like kids who'd just stolen something valuable, it hit her like a gut-punch of joy.
They'd done it. Both of them. Her husband. Her driver.
Oscar caught her first, jogging toward her as the crowd swelled behind the fences.
She barely got a word out before he threw his arms around her.
It wasn't their usual style; they weren't overly physical, weren't the sentimental type. But she folded into it with a small, shocked laugh, her hands fluttering uselessly against his back.
"You really are mine now," she mumbled into his shoulder. "I'm not letting anyone else engineer you ever again."
Oscar pulled back with a crooked grin. "No complaints here."
And then she saw him.
Lando, weaving through the throng, his eyes locked on hers even before she noticed he was moving.
He reached her in four long strides and didn't say a word — just pulled her in, full-body, sweaty, burning fuel smell and all. His arms wrapped around her waist, grounding, safe. "You did this," he whispered into her ear. "You did this."
She shook her head, face pressed to his shoulder. "No. You and Oscar. You drove so, so well."
His hand was in her hair now, warm against her scalp. "You made the car better. You kept Oscar calm. You brought us here. You're the one who held it all together."
And suddenly, she couldn't stop the tears.
Not loud or dramatic — just silent, uncontainable release. Her body started rocking a little, barely perceptible — a comfort motion, side to side, tiny and rhythmic. She pressed her face harder into Lando's shoulder, hiding it the way she always did when the emotions got too big.
Overwhelmed. Elated. So proud she could barely breathe.
Lando didn't flinch. He just held her tighter and whispered, "I've got you, baby. It's okay."
Oscar was still hovering nearby, giving her space now, but watching with a half-smile, the kind that said he understood. And in a small way, he did.
Because Oscar had learned her tells. Her voice drops when she's overstimulated. Her stimming when she's overwhelmed. Her flinch when unexpected noise hits too hard. And still, he trusted her implicitly. Trusted her to guide him through a Grand Prix like Spa, where one mistake could end everything.
And now they were here.
P2. P3.
Double podium.
Amelia finally looked up, eyes shining, flapping her hands once more to bleed off the weight. Lando caught one, laced their fingers, and kissed the back of it without a word.
Zak was there too — in the background, watching. And for a moment, he didn't see his driver or his race engineer or the numbers on the screen.
He saw his daughter, overwhelmed but alight with joy, held safely between two young men who'd become her fiercest allies. Her husband, her teammate, her family.
He smiled to himself. He didn't say a word.
She didn't need him to.
The post-race buzz was elevated. Team shirts were drenched in champagne, and the McLaren hospitality tent was buzzing with an electric excitement.
Amelia didn't usually do broadcast interviews, that was more Lando's territory. But this time, after this race — a double podium, both drivers flawless, Sky had requested her by name.
The paddock mic stand felt too tall. She adjusted it twice.
"Amelia Norris," the reporter began brightly, mic held between them. "First of all, congratulations. Double podium for McLaren — Lando second, Oscar third — how are you feeling right now?"
Amelia blinked. Twice. She hadn't stopped moving since the chequered flag. Still hadn't properly eaten. Still had telemetry fragments dancing in her brain. She opened her mouth, paused, and then nodded slowly.
"I feel... good," she said honestly, voice low and a little clipped. "A bit overwhelmed. But proud. They both drove amazingly today. Especially Oscar. He nailed every brief."
There was something endearing about her calmness — like she was one breath away from shutting the whole operation down to explain exactly how Oscar had maximised delta windows through Sector 2.
The interviewer smiled. "And fans have been picking up on your dynamic with Oscar, especially from the radio. You called him 'Ducky' today — again. Can you talk us through that? Where did the nickname come from?"
Amelia blinked again, then huffed, not irritated, just... caught slightly off guard.
"I give people nicknames when I trust them," she said simply. "'Oscar' is what everyone calls him. 'Ducky' is mine."
There was a beat of silence, the reporter briefly stunned by the directness. But it wasn't defensive or awkward — just the truth, laid bare like everything Amelia said.
"Well, it's clearly working," the reporter recovered, grinning. "Because his defending against Perez and Charles today was phenomenal."
"Yes," Amelia said. "Because we planned for it. He did exactly what I asked of him."
"Did you expect a podium today?"
"I expect possibility," she said, quick. "Expectations are dangerous. But the data said we could be there. And then Oscar delivered on it. So did Lando. That's why I build cars. That's why I stay up all night running simulations. For this."
Her hands moved a little as she spoke — stimming subtly, thumb flicking against her palm. But her voice was steady.
"Would you call this the best day of your season so far?" The interviewer asked, lowering the mic slightly.
Amelia took a breath. Looked out toward the pit wall, where orange and black were still gathered like a tide of fire. Lando was being hauled in a bear hug by one of the engineers. Oscar was still helmeted, leaning back against the barrier and grinning in that quiet way he always did when something mattered to him.
Then she turned back to the camera, deadpan:
"Yes," she said. "But I plan to beat it."
The interviewer laughed. "Love it. Thank you, Amelia. Congratulations again. And give our best to Oscar and Lando."
She cracked a tiny smile, adjusted her headset, and turned back toward the garage, already thinking about what she'd tweak for Quatar.
They were supposed to be taking a break from apartment hunting.
It was a quiet, post-race Monday. The heat was clinging to the Côte d'Azur like a second skin.
And sure, their little two-bedroom near the Port had started to feel a touch claustrophobic. Not because it wasn't nice — it was. It had been their first proper home. But between Lando's racing gear, Amelia's engineering schematics, and the six different pairs of shoes he was tripping over daily, the place was bursting at the seams.
Still, they weren't in a rush.
Until Lando had said, offhandedly over breakfast, "Should we just go see that listing from yesterday? The one with the big balcony and the weird layout?"
She had blinked, then nodded. "I did like that one."
"And?"
"Okay. Sure. Let's go."
So they did.
They ended up viewing three places that day. One was too sterile, the kind of cold marble and glass aesthetic that made Amelia feel like she'd been dropped inside a very expensive hospital. Another had a stunning view, but a persistent echo in the living room that made her skin crawl. It was the kind of sound most people didn't even notice. Lando did — but only because he noticed her the second she tensed up.
Then came the last one.
The agent had apologised in advance. "It's a bit... odd," he'd warned, as they stepped into the building.
Amelia, eyes scanning the corridor, shrugged. "So are we."
Lando grinned.
The apartment was on the top floor — a penthouse. A strange little split-level with slanted ceilings and sun that pooled in lazy patches across the wood floors. Amelia felt it first — not a lightning bolt, but a quiet hum under her ribs. She wandered through the kitchen, into the living room, and paused.
There was a swing.
A proper sensory swing — heavy canvas, anchored securely into a ceiling beam. It was suspended just off the floor in the corner of what looked like a reading nook, draped in soft light from a low window.
Lando stopped just behind her.
"Oh," he said, voice going quiet.
Amelia didn't speak. She walked straight to it, ran her fingers along the reinforced ropes, then sat down slowly. She shifted, testing the weight, and the swing gently curved to cradle her. The instant pressure across her hips and lower back was like flipping a switch in her chest — her breathing slowed, the tension in her shoulders eased.
It felt like being held.
Lando crouched in front of her, hands braced on his knees. "You like it?"
She nodded once. "It's perfect."
He didn't need to ask why. He already knew.
Amelia rarely explained her sensory profile to anyone. But Lando had learned it like a second language — not because she asked him to, but because he wanted to. He knew the way certain fabrics made her retreat, how sharp noises cut through her thoughts like glass. He knew the difference between her shutting down and zoning out. And more than anything, he knew what it meant when she found something that made her feel safe.
He tapped the side of the swing gently. "We could put a second one on the balcony. So you can stargaze."
She blinked. "You sound like you've already decided that we're moving in?"
"You decided," he said, standing up and offering her his hand. "You just didn't say it yet."
She took his hand. He pulled her up slowly, kissed her temple, and added with a smile, "You did say you liked this one."
They got home late. Amelia lay on the sofa, bare feet tucked under a throw blanket, Lando stretched out with his head in her lap. Her iPad was open beside her, a checklist of questions about the new apartment left half-ticked. But neither of them were talking.
They didn't need to.
Amelia was stimming softly, tapping the curve of Lando's shoulder in a light rhythmic pattern. He hummed when she changed tempo, like he could feel her thoughts moving.
"It felt right," she said, finally.
"I know."
"I don't mean just the swing. The light. The acoustics. Even the flooring. It was all right."
"I noticed," he murmured. "Your hands didn't twitch once while we were there."
She was quiet for a moment. Then she said, "It felt like it was built for me. Which is statistically improbable. But still."
"Maybe it was waiting."
She looked down at him. "Places don't wait, Lando. They're inanimate structures."
"But what if this one did?" He said, eyes half-lidded. "What if someone built it weird on purpose so that one day a very particular girl with a very particular brain would walk in and go oh, this feels like home?"
Amelia blinked. Her mouth twitched. "That's not how architecture works."
"It's how love works, though."
She blinked again, slower this time. Then leaned down and kissed the side of his head.
When she pulled back, she whispered, "Let's make it ours."

summary: drew brings you flowers during your miss dior photoshoot
pairings: actress!Reader x Actress!drew
warnings: fluff, paparazzi, kissing, drew being in love.
Tumblr media
The studio hummed with the controlled chaos of a high-fashion shoot. Lights glared, reflectors shimmered, and the air crackled with the hushed energy of professionals at work. You, a rising star and the face of the new Miss Dior campaign, posed with practiced ease. The vintage-inspired gown, a cascade of soft pink and ivory, flowed around you like a dream. The photographer, a master of capturing fleeting moments, barked instructions in a clipped French accent, their eyes alight with creative fervor.
"Magnifique! Just a touch more… vulnerability," they commanded, their voice a melodic blend of French and English. You shifted your gaze, imagining a lost love, a poignant memory, and let the emotion seep into your expression. The camera clicked, freezing the moment in time.
Your phone vibrated in your pocket, a gentle reminder of the world outside the studio. You ignored it, focusing on the task at hand. Another pose, another click, another carefully crafted emotion captured on film.
As the photographer called for a brief break, you finally retrieved your phone. A text from Drew: "Thinking of you. Can I bring you something?"
A soft smile touched your lips. Drew, your co-star, your confidant, and, if you were being honest with yourself, the man who held your heart captive. You typed back a quick "Surprise me," and slipped the phone back into your pocket.
The break was short, just enough for a quick touch-up and a sip of water. As you stepped back onto the set, the photographer’s assistant whispered, "You have a visitor."
Your heart skipped a beat. You knew it was Drew.
He stood at the edge of the set, a bouquet of bright yellow dandelions clutched in his hands. Not roses, not lilies, but dandelions – the simple, unassuming flowers that often went unnoticed, much like the way he’d quietly become an indispensable part of your life.
A ripple of amused laughter spread through the crew. Dandelions? For a Miss Dior photoshoot? It was hilariously out of place, yet somehow, perfectly Drew.
He walked towards you, his smile warm and genuine, a stark contrast to the carefully crafted emotions you’d been portraying for the camera.
"These reminded me of you," he said, handing you the bouquet. "Bright, cheerful, and a little bit… resilient."
You took the dandelions, their delicate heads brushing against your fingertips. "They're perfect," you whispered, your voice thick with emotion.
The photographer, initially amused, now seemed intrigued. "Perhaps we can incorporate them into the shoot," they suggested, their eyes sparkling with inspiration.
And so, the dandelions became a part of the Miss Dior narrative. They were woven into your hair, tucked into the folds of your gown, and scattered around the set, adding a touch of unexpected whimsy to the otherwise polished scene.
The shoot continued, but the atmosphere had shifted. It was no longer just about capturing an image; it was about capturing a moment, a connection, a feeling.
During a break, Drew pulled you aside, his eyes searching yours. "I know this is a big deal for you," he said, his voice low. "And I didn't want to disrupt anything. But I couldn't stay away."
"You didn't disrupt anything," you assured him, your fingers tracing the delicate petals of a dandelion. "You made it… real."
He leaned in, his breath warm against your ear. "Can I kiss you?"
You nodded, your heart pounding in your chest.
His lips met yours, a soft, tender kiss that spoke volumes. It was a kiss that held the promise of something more, something real.
The sound of a camera shutter broke the spell. You pulled back, your cheeks flushed, to see a swarm of paparazzi photographers snapping pictures from outside the studio windows.
"Oh, no," you groaned, the reality of the situation crashing down on you.
Drew, however, seemed unfazed. He took your hand, his fingers intertwining with yours. "Let them," he said, his eyes sparkling with mischief.
And so, the photos of you, the face of Miss Dior, kissing Drew, the man who brought you dandelions, were splashed across every magazine and website. The headlines screamed of a blossoming romance, a love story.
The reaction was mixed. Some fans were thrilled, others were heartbroken, and some were simply confused. But one thing was certain: the photos captured a moment of pure, unadulterated joy.

Tumblr media
AHHH meet cute x simpy miles we LOVE
Miles getting comfy w reader and reader getting progressively more combative the more time they spend together bc they luvvvvvvv each other? perfection
please don’t read if you get uncomfy with suggestive content, nothing too bad but still suggestive!
The morning was still. An odd occurrence for a Saturday. The winter chill had settled the night prior and seeped into ever cracked windowsill.
Streets coating in a thin layer of snow and trees dusted with the same. And acknowledging this freezing weather, obviously you decided to go for a walk. Snow crunched under your feet as you followed street signs, the only thing telling you where you were going was which street looked prettier.
Eventually you stopped, hugging your scarf closer to your nose and looking for a stall or shop that caught your eye.
Eventually it did, a quaint cafe stationed between two clothing stores, relatively small and pretty empty. The outside was decorated with white Lilly-of-the-Valley flowers, flower beds filled with the pretty things. Contrasting to the deep Mahogany of the wooden shop. Which looking into the wide window, seemed relatively the same. Deep furniture with white accents and a soft yellow light dancing along shiny hardwood floors.
Swirling cursive words cut into the wooden headboard swinging from a chain outside the door. “Morales Coffee.”
There looked to be seven or eight people in there currently, for how inconspicuous it tried to look, the amount of patrons at such an odd time (10:42 AM, not morning but not afternoon either.), You’d assume that coffee has to be amazing.
The door bell chimed sweetly at your entry, Barista turning to greet you.
The sweet woman gleamed over at you for a moment, turning back to her current customer while he pulled out his wallet. You lined up, looking at the pastries lining the glass displays. The ones catching your eye a Raspberry Danish and a cute baby blue Lunch-Box cake.
The man had moved away, leaving it your turn to order. The woman smiled at you and for once, approaching someone in costumer service didn’t feel as scary as it should’ve.
“Hi, What can I get for you today?” The curly haired woman had a twang of an accent curving her words. And a motherly vibe about her.
“Hey,” You smiled back at her “,Could I get a regular Mocha—.” You paused to let her punch it in. “.—A raspberry Danish and your blue cake.”
You pointed vaguely towards where the blue cake would be to her side of the display. “Yes, of course! That’ll be $18.40, thank you.”
Whilst you pulled out your purse to pay and she began to retrieve the items. She spoke up again. “Someone’s birthday?”
You laughed, not expecting her to speak so suddenly.
“Oh, no!” A chuckle left your lungs “Just want some cake recently. Saw your shop and its cakes. Thought may as well get it while i’m here.”
She laughed along with you, snorting a little as she boxed the small cake in the cardboard lunchbox. “Seems reasonable.”
“Thank you.”
She grabbed your danish and placed it on the counter, putting the cake in a bag and handing it to you.
“Thank you, again.”
“No worries, your mocha will be out shortly!” The bouncy lady turned around, going close to the back of the counter and opened a door you hadn’t realised was there, talking into it.
“Bebé, hay una chica linda ahí afuera que quiere un Mocha. Ve a hacerlo para ella. Y no la riegues.”
"Baby, there's a cute girl out there who wants a Mocha. Go do it for her. And don't mess it up."
Miles glanced up in confusion.
“¿Pero porqué me dices a mi?”
“Why me?”
“Pues es linda, y parece de tu edad.”
“She’s pretty, and around your age.”
“Ma, porfavor.”
“Ma, please.”
“Go.”
“Fine, fine.” He raised his hands in defeat and Rio kissed his cheek on the way out.
You found a seat with a cute view of the street outside and waited patiently for your coffee, people watching to pass time.
There was always a fear of crime in your neighbourhood. The lack of supposed ‘good guys’ coupled with the city being run down by anyone who wanted to escape trouble. Once news broke out of the first robbery in Brooklyn, where no one was caught. It was immediately put on the radar for any criminal looking to live somewhere safe.
The Prowler had been changing that. Little by little the Panther-esc.. Anti-Villain was scraping through the streets of Brooklyn and letting his blood stained claws drag over those in his way.
People feared him, the violence he brought with him.
You thought he was the closest thing to a hero you were getting, so who’s got room to complain?
If he’s not going to do the dirty work, who will?
The chatter of other people in the cafe had gotten slightly louder, four more people walking in while you sat.
“Miles, la chica linda de ahí.”
“Miles, That sweet girl over there.”
“Sí mamá, ya sé.”
“Yeah mama, I know.”
The smooth baritones accent of a boy around your age caught your attention. The way his letters curled giving you a rush of something down your spine. You looked up when you heard feet approaching, seeing probably the most ridiculously handsome man you have ever met bring you your coffee.
The way his jawline sharpened at a point, braids lying on his shoulders just below it. His lips that seemed awfully soft for someone who probably doesn’t even know what chapstick is. Lashes fluttering prettily over his high genes cheekbones, accenting his golden eyes. Jesus christ he’s pretty. His lips curled into a smirk at your face, your doe’d eyes gleaming up at him. He had some sharp canines.
“‘S one’s yours, Miss.” He placed the steaming mug on your table and you smiled. “Thank you!”
“No worries, Hermosa.” He looked at you a moment longer before the sweet lady called him back to make another order.
“Coming, Momma.” He called back to her, turning back to you for a second time and adding.
“I’m Miles, by the way.”
“Miles.. that’s a cute name.”
His lips upturned again at the compliment.
You gave him your name, which he hummed at, repeating it and rolling it around his tongue. His accent was gorgeous.
“Hope to see you ‘round, [Name].”
You choked out a pathetic affirmation, “Mhmma.— Yeah, yep.”
He laughed lightly and dragged his fingers along the table as he left.
Like claws.
Two days later you were back. It was some of the best coffee you’d ever had. And the desserts were the same, most of the cake still sitting boxed in the fridge.
Also there was an added bonus, being the coffee house owner, and her son.
The boy was interesting enough to keep your attention, sweet to you but held a sort of curiosity about him. Like he was hiding something but felt no shame in doing it, that it was righteously excused.
And to be real, you were dying to hear his voice again. Two days and all that had been playing in your head was the way he’d said your name, let the word travel down to his lungs and breathed life into it. A longing into it.
Miles was about the same, probably worse.
You saying his name was cute was probably his new lifeline. The way you had said it so innocently, sweetly to the likes of him. A twisted, wretched man. You had him swooning faster than he deemed safe, his body was going into overdrive. He had watched you while in their cafe, having never met someone so.. untainted by the world. Someone so sweet who carried nothing but a childlike innocence in their curios nature. Nothing done out of bad faith or in vain. You were nothing like him, he adored that.
So when you came wandering back into his Mommas cafe, he hoped to every universe it would be something you didn’t stop doing.
“Ah! Miss, You’re back!” His Ma greeted her, watching as the girl told Rio her name, and his Mom in return.
You guys chatted idly for a moment, your expressions clear as day. He could read you like a grown man could read a picture book, so easy it would be insulting to present him with it, if the content wasn’t you. The brightness and easy nature of you was something refreshing, he would say his Momma was easy-going, but times had been hard lately and his family needed a cheering up. You seemed like the perfect candidate.
Sweet, bubbly and looking at him right now- Oh. He waved at you, shivering at the eye contact and watching as you smiled at him and waved back, hands shaking. He likes how nervous he makes you.
You sniffled a little from the cold, dripping your hand as his Mom room your attention again. She handed you a cinnamon scroll and you paid quickly, dropping twenty bucks in the tip jar and quickly finding your way back to your seat.
“Miles! Un Mocha regular porfavor.”“Miles, regular Mocha please.”
He nodded to his mom, like he hadn’t remembered from last time. Like he hasn’t watched as you enjoyed something he made you.
“Bienvenida de nuevo, Chiquita.”“Welcome back, Chiquita.”
Sitting in the same spot as last time, staring at the idling passer-by’s, the light of a Winter morning danced off the snowy ground and highlighted your face, leaving a soft glow in your eyes.
You turned to him, paying him your whole mind.
“Thank you, Miles.” He placed your coffee in front of you, slightly leaning over you. He raised his eyebrows and hummed. You inhaled quickly, breath caught in your throat. Now realising the proximity between the two of you. Not only that, but there was a sweet smell that followed him around, coffee and cinnamon. How fitting.
His voice had gone deeper, smoother.
“I’m glad to see you back here—,” He leaned back again, hand dragging the same way it had two days prior. Your slow blink and parted lips made a deep rooted part of him begin to blossom once more.
He wanted to protect you the way he knew no one else could, wanted to lay his Soul down for you. Let you trace the veins imbedded in his skin with your teeth and take as much from him as you could. Run him dry, let him owe you his life so he can die protecting yours.
The speed his infatuation was growing probably wasn’t healthy.
“Really?” Your sweet, breathless inquiry silenced that though.
“Of course, Mami.”
“I—,” You paused, picking at you fingernails for a moment “,—I like it here, a lot.”
You leaned a little forward in your seat. Pressing your forearms against the wooden tabletop and leaning on them. He watched your back drop into a small arch, and for his own health, decided to ignore it. “‘S very cozy.” You glanced towards the window again. Watching another lad and her dog pass. He watched you.
“Mm, it is.”
“And you’re here.”
He sucked in a breath, fingers twitching.
“Yeah?”
“Yeah.”
Your gaze flickered to him once more and he held it.
He let his hand drift to your shoulder, rubbing it slowly while he peeled himself away from the table.
“I gotta go, Mami, but enjoy your time.”
“You too, Miles.”
“I’ll be working,” He smiled at you, a small thing.
“I’ll be here. So pretty fun, I’d say.”
He hummed.
“Guess you’re right, Chiquita.”
It had been around four Months since Miles had met you. And he was in over his damn head, not that he wasn’t at your first meeting. But progressively, over time, he’d fallen deeper and deeper for you.
Everything you did had him in a chokehold. The way you were so sweet with his Mom, or how even uncle Aaron liked you when he’d stopped by the cafe.
How you offered to help around with no pay, generosity basically leaking from your heart. When you would come over just to see him because you “missed his voice”.
Or would sit in his room and wait for him. If he ever came home late, injured from things you had no business knowing, you wouldn’t ask a thing. You stayed quiet, and patched him up. Let him rest his head on your collarbone while you softly rubbed his shoulders. Trying to lighten the weight of the world off of them.
Every little thing.
He was done pretending like it didn’t affect him. He could barely go a single day without you on his mind constantly, as if.
He knew you felt the same.
Still just as readable as your first meeting. He knew the frequent outings between the two of you were more than just friendly meet-ups to you. To him.
And when your gazes would catch one another, he’d try and tell you. Express without so much as a word how you were the only person he could do this with. The only one he felt comfortable to walk down the street with, and let you chat his ear off about any new movies you’d seen, books you’d have read.
He would let you sleep in his bed, bring little things into his room and give the bland walls life.
You had made a home in him. Cracked chips in his walls on by one until you’d found a single loose stone and happily let everything he’d built up fall just for you.
Miles had texted you around mid-day that he’d wanted to see you, in which you’d giggled at your phone dreamily.
Laying on your bed with your stomach down, kicking your legs like a girl gone stupid.
It hadn’t even been much to fret over, just a simple:
Can you come over later?
He had phrased it rather questioningly, but for no good reason. He’d known full well the moment he even insinuated you being with him, you’d jump at the chance.
And you did, swiftly replying;
okayyyy !!
I’ll pick you up at 7.
six…?
7, [Name].
>:(
Don’t be childish.
i’m nvr childish, see u at 6 C:
You got up, threw your phone somewhere on the bed and checked your, admittedly already-packed, overnight bag. Making sure nothing was missing before putting it at your door.
Your phone pinged again.
See you at six.
You smiled.
You spent the rest of that afternoon anxiously waiting for him to pick you up.
He showed up at your door five minutes late, greeting you at the door with a soft apology about the tardiness.
“Sorry, Mami. Took a wrong turn.”
“Don’t apologise, Miles.”
You smiled at him, stars in your eyes. He looked away for a second, a bit guilty for lying to you, but he feels it’s worth it.
“Grab your bag, ma. Let’s go.”
You hummed an affirmation, rushing to your room to grab the pink duffel bag.
You grabbed your phone off your night stand and did a double check for everything.
You walked out again, closing the door behind you. Miles was leant up against your doorframe. Forearm pressed on the wood and his torso stretched. A small sliver of his skin had peeked from under the fabric, you thanked the warming weather. Quickly averting your gaze, you noticed him watching your stare in intent, a curious smile playing at the corner of his lips.
“You good, Chiquita?”
“Uhuh—, yep. Fine.”
“Mmhm.”
You huffed out, pouting and pressing your palm to his chest, his very toned chest, and pushed back lightly.
“Get outta my way, lame-o, I gotta lock the door.”
He resisted for a moment longer, gazing down at you in humour. He trailed his hand up your arm slyly and pried your hand off his chest by sliding his thumb up from under your wrist onto your palm. Slowly pulling you off him.
“Maybe ask politely.”
You gave him an unimpressed stare and flipped him off.
“Miles.”
“[Name].”
“Oh my god.”
“It’s just a ‘please’.”
“..-Please, get the fuck outta my way.”
“Of course, Hermosa.” He snorted as he did.
You turned around, Miles still close to you in the cramped hallway, and locked your door.
You turned around, noticing his eyes glance up from where they were before and shot him a questioning look. He turned around and led you through you hallway, dismissing the look.
He opened the steel door to the cafe. The scenery of a rooftop garden with the same Lilly-of-the-Valley flowers up here as there were out front of the store.
Shrubbery lined the rooftop edge and the string lights hung from the veranda created an atmosphere that seemed almost cinematic.
“Jesus, Miles. This is beautiful.”
“Mm, thought you’d like it.”
“I do, so much.”
You stated in awe at the mural painted on a buildings wall behind the door. A man who stroke a resemblance to Miles painted surrounded by colours of any.
The moonlight basked against the neon colours, accenting the man’s features.
“My dad.”
Your gaze snapped up to him beside you, brows furrowing in a frown.
“I’m sorry.”
“‘S cool. Nothin’ you coulda known, Ma.”
He sighed at the image of his father, wishing him well rest.
Turning to you, he wasn’t surprised to see the greif in your eyes. He was, though, surprised at the lack of pity.
He was so used to having his far family whisper behind his back at how his soul had died with his fathers. How the light in his eyes had gone missing the day his hand had been forced, unable to get to his dad in time.
There was no escaping his death.
So to feel the understanding coming from you—. The confidence in your sorry but knowledge that pity would do no one any good, it was refreshing. Everything about you was.
He turned away from your watchful eyes, the intensity being unusual for him.
“Come sit, vida mía.”
You followed him dutifully, loyally. Like you had since the last Winter. Like you would continue for the next to come.
A set of pillows had been placed in the middle of the veranda. White wood covered in lively vines and the aforementioned string lights.
There was a layout of his pastries (which you had learned he was the baker of) laid out on a cotton blanket.
You sat on one of the pillows, legs crossed. Miles following short after.
“Oooh,” You begun to tease him “,This a romantic dinner date?” The tone of your voice was in jest, but when he had failed to answer— Your heart rate sped up and your face went hot to the touch.
“Miles? Y’know I— I was just jokin’—“ “If you want it to be.”
You stood stupidly for a moment, not quite reeling in his words like any other person would.
“Wh—.”
It was his turn for unsurity now, eyes dancing nervously between you and the skyline.
“No pressure, though. Just think it’d be nice.”
“It would.”
He refocused on you again, finding you already watching him owlishly. “Yeah?”
“Mm, we could—,”
He anxiously started picking at the blanket. Who knew someone usually so calm could be this nervous asking out the most harmless girl he knew.
“Try. We could try that, together.” You mumbled a bit, seemingly playing it off. “If you want, or something..”
“I do.” He gained some leg to stand on, finding it easier and easier as you spoke, your nerves somehow calming his own.
“I’ve wanted that for a while.”
“Oh good, cause—“ You placed your hand in your lap, cracking your knuckles. “—Me too, so. That’s good.”
He grinned at your awkwardness, knowing your lack of experience in the relationship aspect of life, this mutual agreement, instead of one asking the other out, probably hasn’t been an experience of yours yet. He liked he was the first.
“Don’t get all shy on me now.”
You puffed at him, punching his arm lightly.
“I’m never shy, that’s for dumb stupid lame people. And I am none of those.” “Oh, sure.”
“Wh— Sure?! Which one are you ‘sure’-ing? Dumb, stupid or lame?!”
“Uhuh.”
“Miles!”
“Keep saying my name like that, mami.”
“Oh my goodness!”
And when you both finally got into his bed, you’d slept tangled together like you had dozens of times before. But this time, Miles would grab your waist and pull you closer. Settle his face in your neck and trace his nose down the length of your shoulder, peppering a kiss on every inch of skin he could find, and you’d both finally felt sure.
Maybe people were right, maybe Miles’s soul had died with his father.
But meeting you, something new, something rejuvenating—.
It left him with a light he could search for, a new soul. A whisp of a being you’d taken from your own heart and placed in his. It left him breathless with life.
YIPEEE!!!!! another one 🗣️‼️

What Kind Of Monster Was He?
A @forgettable-au fan (colored) animatic
MINOR BLOOD WARNING!
*Was he the kind to do too much, or not enough?
…OK, SO WHAT HAD HAPPENED WAS-
I had planned to finish this into a full fledged animation, but a lot of the parts I did end up finishing just didnt live up to what I imagined…I waited for more motivation to happen, but it just didnt so HERES THE COLORED ANIMATIC CAUSE IM REALLLY HAPPY WITH WHAT I HAVE and ive sat on posting this for like a 2 weeks 😭 which is an eternity in my time
Im gonna post the unfinished “finished” part on my side account @o-sunny-day though! and probably have people yell at me cause it actually isnt that bad AND IT TOTALLY ISNT I just… art. You get it. ENOUGH YAPPING! ITS TIME TO YAP!
except not yet, MORE BACKGROUND INFO HUCDHUC- but its background info on explaining the lore…
The explaining is much less expansive than in Dear My Dear just because I didnt work on it long enough to think every bit of it through. This is just a clean, nicer looking, and colored version of the very first storyboard.
I usually think about and put more effort into the little stuff while making the FINISHED bits since ive had so much more time to think about that in all the preppin n sketching.
BUT I liked the explaining format I did for Dear My Dear so im sticking with it!
The main idea for this was to do a study of Wingdings’ character from what we’ve been given, mainly focusing in on the expectations he puts on himself because holy shit the lyrics for this works so stupidly well it makes me mad LOOK AT THIS???
Tumblr media
its ridiculous. i love it. I didnt know Jack Stauber helped write Forgettable AU???? woww!!! ANYWHO thats the gist of it, not much context is needed past that. Onto the sillies!!!! (per usual excuse the shitty quality of the pngs idk why Tumblr does that-)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Did you know love? Will you rest in peace?
Wingdings and Sans holding hands as kids, before turning to a casket like appearance for adult WD. The flowers hes holding are pretty important too, Marigolds to represent grief, Lilys, new life, and Forget Me Nots for this lovely little line I found when looking up good flowers to use-
Tumblr media
“a promise to always remember” ….stop that.
That actually also has a double meaning in this case too. 1, ofc the forgetting of Wingdings. But ALSO Wingdings forgetting something himself. Forgetting who he is. Almost like a Zuko ATLA situation.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Did you have a family?
Who knows where theyre parents are, but this is HAPPY TIME and we’re gonna assume they were so awesome and very kind but had to leave or went to a farm in the sky for whatever reason.
The colors here I had a lot of fun with. Their parents had warm colors but the boys have cold, still with warm accents. Its said they more or less raised each other being very independent as shown in the second part with them running out the door by themselves.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
How was the view from the shelf? Did you ever believe in yourself?
Before, we started with the beginnings. The good things, the only thing Wingdings cares to even recall. Now we’re seeing his life really start to turn upside down- making first contact with The Player :D
He’s hesitant to reach out, but is intrigued, before getting a rushing revelation of his reality and how it isnt “real”
Rather than feeling crushing existential dread, he more feels pressured to be BETTER, to figure a solution, to do something. Thats what white represents here
Tumblr media Tumblr media
WHAT KIND OF MILK WERE YOU?
We then switch to more examples of how Wingdings is taking this pressure (not well) The soft tones of yellow that were shown before, turn to way brighter, intensifying that feeling that he should be fine, he should be happy, drowning in success of being the Royal Scientist.
But he just desperately wants to just go back to a time of nice coldness.
The warm vs cold tones in this I had so much fun with, coldness is supposed to represent hostility usually, while warm is nice and happy. (same with Black and white. Scary, relieving,) But these points often contradict each other, its hard to tell what you’re feeling vs what you’re supposed to be feeling. Just like Wingdings!
Tumblr media
WHAT KIND OF LIFE DID YOU LIVE THROUGH?
The white lab coats, the expectations, theyre on all of them. But Wingdings has essentially become his expectations.
He questions what life he wants to live, one being himself and alone (speaking in wingdings) or not himself and with company (speaking in a “normal” font) Still, he frames it in past tense as he believes theres no going back now, based on what he knows.
Tumblr media
“One of the last happy moments they had together” stop that. (i cant find a link to when that was said but I know it was once, about them taking a photo together….)
Tumblr media
DID YOUR LIFE RUN RICH WITH CALCIUM?
Calcium….bonesss :3 Hehehehdhehfhehehheheheh still dont know why he has holes in his hands so we’re movin on
Tumblr media Tumblr media
DID THEY LAUGH AT YOU OR DID YOU LAUGH AT THEM?
Compared to the childhood Wingdings remembered, heres the sadder, bleaker, more realistic version. He always thought they were laughing at him but… maybe they werent.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
DAIRY BELOVED. YOUR DAYS ARE GONE,
It doesnt matter now though. Because in the NOW, Wingdings has become consumed by his expectations of himself, seeing this has the “only option” to do the only thing that he feels will give his life meaning and purpose, establishing connection with THE PLAYER
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But the grocery list goes on…
And yet life continues on without him, and his room is transformed into a more livable space now that someone is…living in it. Always hurts so much making the differences between Wingdings and Papyrus’ room. It feels like making something out of the man Wingdings COULD HAVE been. Because honestly thats just what Papyrus is,

WONDERING WHY Cowboy!geto suguru x f!reader
A request from my 100 event ‘CHOOSE YOUR COWBOY!’ thank you liv for sending it in! Sorry no proof read i’m lazy rn😞
contains: rich country girl x cowboy , Fluff, crack. think of country accents for this whole event ngl.
Suguru never imagined he'd find himself entwined with the person he did. It was shocking after that peculiar woman—her wild hair dancing with the wind as she stood slightly off the beaten path—foretold that he'd marry someone with the elegance of a magnolia blossom and the sweetness of the finest honey he'd ever tasted.
“Suguru, ya can't possibly believe that old bat, can ya?” his friend, with strikingly eerie blue eyes that seemed to sparkle with mischief, quipped, a smirk playing on his lips.
“Not sure,” Suguru replied, letting out a light shrug as he gazed into the distance. “Out here, anything seems possible, at least it’s more uplifting than the grim fates others have heard from her this week.”
“If that's what you truly believe, my friend, then who am I to stand in your way?” Satoru laughed, his accent thick as ever, a lighthearted chuckle that echoed through the air. The atmosphere was relaxed, filled with an unspoken camaraderie, as he leaned back slightly on the creaky chair, a playful grin spreading across his face.
On a warm, sun-drenched afternoon, Suguru and Satoru rode into town, the heat making their hair stick to their hats as they ‘parked’ their stallions outside the only bar in town. They settled onto the rustic wooden stools outside, the atmosphere quiet with a few passersby. As they savored their cold beers, a delightful woman in a flowing yellow dress caught their attention. Her dress, bright like a field of sunflowers, danced gracefully around her as she approached them.
“Why hello I hope y'all wouldn’t mind directing me to the dress shop in this here town?” You smiled at them so captivating that it could bring the strongest soldiers to their knees.
“Well, my my my aren’t you just as beautiful as a mayflower…” Satoru whispered.
“A magnolia blossom.” Suguru gazed at you in disbelief, his eyes widening as a glimmer of wonder danced in theirs. Your expression lit up, each word igniting a spark of excitement that made your eyes shine like stars on a clear night.
“I’m sorry I didn't mean to say that out loud.” He added, anxiety creeping into his voice, his cheeks flushed with a deep crimson hue.
“Why thank you, that's my favorite flower.” you giggled.
“Realllyyy.” Satoru peeks over at Suguru.
“Anywho ma’am the dress shop in town is gonna be a few doors down, The shop is as bright as a pink pig. Ya won’t miss it I can guarantee.” His piercing blue eyes flashed a warm smile, the kind that radiated genuine warmth and a hint of childish energy.
“Thank you both, I best be getting on my way now y'all have a good day.” With a gentle wave that resembled the caress of a soft breeze on a warm summer afternoon, you moved your hand gracefully. Suguru couldn’t help but feel the warmth of that gesture wash over him as if it carried the sweet fragrance of blooming flowers. It was a moment that lingered, filling the air with an unmistakable sense of kindness and tranquility.
“So ya found the magnolia blossom haven’t ya suguru.” The widest grin played on Satoru.
“What I found is that you can’t shut your mouth.” He took another swig of beer while deep in thought.
“Oh don’t get your panties in a twist, she’ll come back.” reaching for his jean pocket to take a cigarette out not wanting to push the conversation anymore.
After weeks of anticipation, Suguru finally gathered the courage to ask you out on a date. When the day arrived, he stood at your doorstep, a warm smile lighting up his face, holding a delicate bouquet of the most exquisite magnolias he could find. Their soft pink and white petals glistened in the sunlight, filling the air with a sweet, enchanting fragrance that swept you off your feet. It was a moment of pure joy, a promise of a wonderful evening ahead.
“Are these for me?” You fluttered your beautiful eyelashes, and Suguru just couldn't get enough of them.
“Yes ma’am, would you go out with me tomorrow night? I'll drop ya back home in time so you’ll sleep enough before church.” He smiled, letting out a quiet chuckle to conceal the worry on his face.
“How thoughtful….well I’ll be waiting for ya Suguru.” You smiled a blush creeping on the apples of your cheeks.
After countless dates filled with laughter and memorable moments, and months spent getting to know each other deeply, it all culminated in a beautiful wedding ceremony surrounded by family, friends, and Satoru’s shitty drunken speech. Together, you created a warm, welcoming home—a spacious ranch-style house complete with a charming white front porch, lovingly built by him for the two of you. This home, nestled among sprawling fields and serene landscapes, was the perfect setting for your life together and the lovable golden retriever you rescued one rainy night, a moment that solidified your bond even more. Each corner of the house holds a story, a cherished memory that reflects the love and joy you've built together.

Writing Notes: Pastel Colors
Tumblr media
Pastel Colors - pale variations of primary colors and exhibit lightness and low saturation.
To create a pastel shade, blend white into the original color, mixing the pigments until they fully combine.
The more white you add to the original color, the lighter the pastel shade becomes.
Examples of Pastel Colors
As tints of primary colors, pastel hues are not on a traditional color wheel. Their limited saturation and pale shades create a soothing and romantic atmosphere. Common shades of pastel colors include:
Baby blue: Similar to sky blue, baby blue is a light shade of azure that pairs well with pastel yellow and pink. Baby blue is also a signature color scheme for nurseries and children’s rooms.
Lilac: As a mix between mauve and light blue, lilac is a pale shade of violet that resembles the lilac flower. This pastel color creates a bright contrast alongside shades of olive green and gray.
Mauve: Like lilac, mauve is also a pastel variety of the color purple. There are different shades of mauve, with some tints containing pale pink hues and others containing light gray shades.
Mint green: A blend of blue, green, and white, mint green is often a staple shade on a pastel color palette. Different tints of mint green vary according to the proportions of white, blue, and green.
Peach: A bright summery tone, peach is a pastel color in the orange family. Its warm hues resemble a bright cream, making it an ideal color base upon which to build.
How to Use Pastel Colors
By matching the right colors, you can effectively incorporate pale tones into different design trends. Try these steps for working with pastel colors:
Create a pastel color scheme. As an arrangement of complementary color combinations, a color scheme is a foundation that balances bright and dark shades. Start by choosing a pastel color as your base. Select complementary colors by pairing this main color with tints on opposite ends on the color wheel. If your color wheel does not include pastel colors, find the primary color closest to your pastel and then note which color is across from it. The pastel version of this second primary color is your complementary color. For example, if pastel blue is your main color, use pastel oranges as your complementary colors in your color scheme.
Test your shades. Before applying any color to a new space or template, test your color scheme. Pastel colors appear differently depending on how the light hits them. Consider doing a small patch test to ensure you like how the color looks after you apply it.
Incorporate contrast. Contrasting colors enhance different aspects of your design. Pastel on pastel can result in a faded look the eye has trouble viewing. Instead, layer your pastel background with color contrast. For instance, in a pale yellow web design, consider using a saturated hue for the lettering so the text is eye-catching. Darker tones that pair with pale colors include magenta, eggplant, navy blue, and dark green.
Add an accent. For a more dramatic look, you can incorporate accent colors in your template. Soft pastels amplify the appearance of bright colors. To make a statement in your design, consider incorporating a primary color shade into your palette. For home décor, use primary color throw pillows as an accent to a pastel-colored couch.
Tips for Using Pastel Colors
Consider these styling tips for using pastel colors in graphic design or interior design:
Add intrigue with metallic shades. Since pastel colors have less saturation, shimmery colors, such as gold and silver, are attention-grabbing against pastel backgrounds. Experiment with different metallic shades to add texture to your pastel look.
Play with patterns and shapes. Pastel backgrounds are an opportunity to incorporate bold shapes and interesting textures. Consider adding a geometric pattern to a wall with a pastel color scheme. The soft gradient of the pale colors allows the unique shapes to stand out.
Use neutrals for balance. Adding a pale hue to a neutral color palette creates a fresh, eye-catching look. Neutral colors, such as white, gray, and beige, ground pastel shades and prevent an overwhelming blend of color. This technique works well for business cards and logo designs.
Graphic designers, interior decorators, and artists incorporate pastel colors into their work to blend color palettes, build texture, and balance bold patterns.

I'll stick around if you will
Fyodor x Reader
idk english
summary: a morning with Fyodor
tw: none, only softness and happiness
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When Fyodor wakes up, he is alone. But as he turns his gaze to your empty side of the bed, an uneasiness claws at his chest. The warmth of your side still lingers, an ephemeral trace that his tired hand senses as it glides over the sheets. Sleep suddenly leaves him. With a clear purpose, he gets up to look for you.
The window is frozen, as is the rest of the house. He has always loved the cold. It felt like an old friend, ingrained in him since birth. It was his home: the crunch of the frozen ground beneath his feet, the breath condensing like little sighs stolen from the air. He likes the way the snow covers the meadow and the trees, the way everything looks covered and shiny when he leaves home.
His feet step on the dark planks until he reaches the kitchen. He sees your figure, half hunched over the wooden counter, illuminated by the dim morning light. Next to you is a metal bowl still with a large spoon in it. He stares at you for a few seconds, admiring you. How you move so naturally while still focused on your recipe, so relaxed that he smiles. A smile that barely grazes his lips but lights up everything inside him. How can he not smile when he has you?
He approaches you without making a sound that disturbs you, a natural thing for him. His arms wrap around your waist, pulling you close to him and embracing the warmth you give off. Your body, so warm under his hands, was the promise of something more than cold: a home he never knew he could belong to.
When you say his name, it's like the song of an angel just arrived on earth. He appreciates your beautiful smile after kissing the back of your neck.
“What are you doing?” his accent clings to the words more than usual. You grab one of his hands delicately, almost as if it would break if you tighten your grip a little more. Fyodor finds it funny, watching you treat him like he's made of glass, a porcelain doll you're terrified he'll fall.
“I'm going to make you the best breakfast.” Your smile lights up your face, the room and the world. At least that's how Fyodor sees it. You make his cold body warm and he can't even complain; because some nights, when he holds you close but still can't sleep, he thinks about how he'd rather have your warmth than the cold he's always loved.
For someone who had always found comfort in the cold, your warmth was disconcerting, like a flame that doesn't burn but doesn't let off either.
Your hand separates from his to put it on a notebook. You bought it some time ago for its design, with a cover full of flowers with warm, yellow colors, not even the white was pure, like the snow he is used to. The flowers are harmoniously distributed among leaves and stems, making perfect patterns. In the center, there is a box with small ornaments in the corners, where you wrote <<Fedya's Recipes>>. A burning sensation sticks to his chest when he remembers the time you showed it to him. You told him in your charming voice, that you wanted to learn how to cook Russian foods, from his childhood, the ones that reminded him of his parents and lost childhood. All from a childhood he thought he had forgotten.
Now, the notebook is full, its pages covered with your careful annotations, sometimes messy, torn straight from the corners of his memory. A few words get stuck in his throat, more than words, it was like a torrent of emotions that before he met you, he had not felt. He would like to express all the appreciation and love he has for you, to tell you that you are perfect, that he needs you as much as air, but his lips, so used to silence, barely manage to articulate anything.
As he listens to the melody you hum softly, Fyodor allows himself to be vulnerable, for you. He leans into you, letting the words escape in a heartfelt whisper:
“Я люблю тебя.” He closes his eyes, noticing how the cold has disappeared from the room. “Я хочу остаться в этом моменте, с тобой, навсегда.”
Tumblr media
Я люблю тебя: I love you.
Я хочу остаться в этом моменте, с тобой, навсегда: I want to stay in this moment, with you, forever.

Back in the og days of scarian even before third life there used to be this really popular au, the florist au and grian was a flower shop owner and he would sprout different flowers from his hair and hands depending on his emotions, especially when flustered! And scar was just a head over heels customer. Would love if that au made a comeback
I'll be doing oneshots of each prompt, and if it goes right, I might go back to writing FanFiction
So leeeet's go!
(Modern/City Hermitcraft AU added along)
===============================
3rd person POV (Grian's perspective)
It was a cloudy weekend on Hermit Town, previewing a soft rain later, people walking around the streets, birds (actual birds) chirping and flying away, yet, the flower shop owned by the small blond parrot avian was peaceful and empty.
As he sprayed some water on the inside plants like everyday, a tall brunet with a big X shaped scar on his face entered the shop, his arrival notified by the familiar jingle of the bell above the glass door, the parrot boy's ear wings twitched as he looked up, the dirty blond curls bouncing softly as he met the taller boy with a warm smile "Hello there, handsome! Lovely seeing you here, as always!" The avian spoke in a jokingly flirtatious tone, his British accent strong, walking to behind the counter, pulling up his red jumper sleeves to his elbows, adjusting his white, dirty apron "How can I help you today?" He added, leaning back on his stool.
The taller boy smiled brightly, his vibrant green eyes gleaming with joy, his happiness contagious, making small daisies sprout on the avian's hair "Oh! Hello light of my life! Lovely seeing you too!" Scar beamed, striding confidently towards the counter, his cane clicking softly against the dark wood floor "Just here for the usual! And your number if you may" the boy smirks, leaning against the counter on his elbows, flashing a charming smile to Grian, making the blond parrot earn a soft pink hue on his cheeks and nose tip, butterflies flying around in his stomach, he walked to the wall of wrapping paper and ribbons on the corner, opening a square of a sand colored paper and turning it diagonally "Poppies, lilacs and sunflowers. Something else?" He asked, trying not to look in the elf's eyes.
"Just that! Thank you!" The scarred boy smiled, looking at the flower seeds in the counter, oblivious to Grian's embarrassment. "So... Uhm... are you free tonight?" He asked out of the blue as soon as the boy came back from the back garden with the flowers, making him almost drop the bouquet "W-what?"
Scar's POV
I look at the Grian with a fake innocent smile, watching his face turn a crimson red, almost blending in with his sweater, his parrot wings getting all fluffy, holding back a dreamy sigh at the cute parrot in front of me, my heart racing with anticipation as i waited for his reply, fidgeting with a packet of a mix of poppy and lilac seeds, Cod, i love him so much, i don't even know how I was able to gather the courage to ask him out.
I've loved him ever since i first saw him, taking such care with the flowers around the shop, with those adorable daisies that always show up on his hair when he smiles, the buttercups that sprout when i annoy him, the way his wings fluff up when i flirt with him, the freckles on his cheeks and nose bridge, the way his dark brown eyes shine a dark honey color under the sunset light-
"Scar?" I hear him ask, snapping out of my thoughts, blushing furiously and looking away as I realize I've been daydreaming "Ah! Yes! Sorry! I'm here!" I reply in a rush, clearing my throat "Sorry, lost in thought about...." I look around for a lame excuse "About cactuses!! Yes! Cacti..." I smile nervously, my heart flutters when I hear his cute laugh "It's fine, cacti are in fact interesting, anyway, I just said I'm free tonight after 6pm, why?" He repeats as he finishes the bouquet, wrapping it on the sand yellow paper and tying it with a green and red bow, placing it on the counter and handing me the card machine (idk the name).
I pass the card and take a deep breath, picking up the bouquet and clutching it in my hands, trying to push away the heat on my cheeks "Just wondering if you'd like to..." C'mon Scar! You can do it! Just ask him on a date! You're not a coward!! You came here for that! Just tell him! "To...?" Grian asked, tilting his head to the side, oh my cod he's adorable, okay, you can do this Scar! "I was wondering if you'd like to go out with me!" I blurt out rapidly while extending the bouquet to him, feeling my cheeks heat up and turn red.
"Oh..." I hear him mutter, feeling the bouquet being taken from my hands
When I open my eyes, I see his face flushed, miniatures of poppies, lilacs and sunflowers, the same flowers of the bouquet, sprouting from his hair and hands furiously, creating a small garden on himself, his wings poofed and the ear wings covering his face, his hands clutching the bouquet even harder than I was, seeing him like this just made me want to hold him in my arms and kiss his face all over, smell the scent of the flowers in his head.
"Yeah, I'd like that... That cafe down the street at 7?" He asks softly, his voice strained with embarrassment.
"Yeah! Pick you up at 7 then!" I smile brightly, beaming with happiness, holding back the urge to hug him.
This is officially the best day of my life...
I love this little flower

Just imagine anyone on the grid having a lion or a tiger as an so and rocking up to the paddock (just like tiger king), with the animal on a bedazzled leash and everything
hmm interesting! i honestly tried to stick with smaller animals in my series, as to not spook the fans and reporters around the paddock, but i feel like a tiger shapeshifter!reader is a good concept as well!
i feel like the top contenders to have a tiger shapeshifter s/o would either be someone with a loud personality, like danny, or someone completely unexpected like andrea (kimi antonelli).
here's a little blurb/oneshot i thought up on a whim:

you are woken up from your nap by the shrillest scream you ever heard. you leap back, accidentally trampling a few decorative plants in the back of the mercedes motorhome. oops, you think. in front of you stands bono, lewis' engineer, who looks like he's seen a ghost. eyes wide behind his black framed glasses, he stands, frozen in fear. still blinking sleep from your eyes, you carefully pad in a direction away from the terrified engineer, who is now very noticeably trying to tiptoe away.
it was ironic, really, for the universe to grant you the ability to shapeshift into one of the world's deadliest predators, but make you have the shyest, most timid personality.
you were technically not supposed to be napping under the sun behind the merc hospitality- your boyfriend kimi had told you to wait inside the building while he had a quick meeting with toto. it wasn't your fault that the sun was shining so warmly and the lovely smell of freshly planted flowers were floating outside. you had decided to chill on the grass when you must have fallen asleep (and probably accidentally shifted too).
now, you watch in fear as bono beckons a group of people towards you. they all wear matching black uniforms with the word "security" pasted right in the back with neon yellow letters. god, this was going to be hard to explain when kimi came back.
they approach you, not knowing how to deal with the giant tiger currently huddling in the back of the mercedes motorhome. you couldn't blame them, you knew you looked pretty intimidating, and let's be honest, anyone would be scared if they saw a fierce predator in the wild, much less behind a formula 1 motorhome.
they slowly surround you, batons out, and a few of them talk through their radio walkie-talkies, requesting for "backup". it seems that some reporters and fans have gotten wind of the situation too, because you see some at the edge of the entrance, phones out and recording. you hear them mutter about the weirdness of the scene unfolding in front of them.
suddenly, you hear a familiar accented voice ring out behind the ring of security guards and crowd of people.
"baby, come here!" kimi says firmly. he clicks his tongue twice and beckons you toward him with his finger.
to everyone's surprise, you bound towards him through the now horde of people. they scatter to the side as you race towards your boyfriend. once you skid to a halt in front of him, he brushes his hand through your fur and places a soft kiss on your wet nose. it's a laughable sight, seeing your impressive-sized striped body cowering behind kimi's shorter figure.
bono steps out of the crowd of people, brow scrunched in fear and confusion. "what the-? kimi??? when did you own a tiger?"
your boyfriend laughs. "well, i don't really own her, you know. we just have, eh, what do you call it- a special bond between us." he gives a light hug, squeezing you against him. "i love her very much!"
if you were in your human form, you would definitely be blushing.
turning away from bono, kimi leads you back towards main paddock road, which wasn't hard to do considering the crowd leaving a wide berth of space around you both (probably from the fear of getting eaten by you, even though you would never think to ever do that to someone).
once he reaches the main part of the paddock, he pulls out a bejeweled collar and leash out of his pocket. you look at him questioningly, but don't resist as he threads it around your neck.
"just so no one thinks that you're a random runaway tiger," he explains, tightening it comfortably.
you both continue your walk through the paddocks, this time heading towards kimi's garage. several fans and enigneers scamper out of the way as the see you approach, not used to seeing an actual real life tiger, albeit in a shiny leash and collar.
as you lightly amble towards the entrance of the merc garage, leash trailing behind you from kimi's hand, you spot toto walk by with a big grey wolf on his heels.
he turns to kimi, looking him straight in the eyes, and smirks, eyes twinkling knowingly.
"you got yourself a tiger, huh?"

NIka Muhl x Fem!Reader
"your probably having good times with a bad boy"
word count - 2.1k
themes:
-angst if u squint
-slight sexual content
-light fluff
A/N - this is gonna be a short series but I wrote this in honor of the weather getting warmer and so that I'm not so depressed about Nika leaving. sorry its so short..
Me and Nika Muhl started dating July 7th of 2022. It was a regular summer day in California. The entire team decided to go on a vacation together. It was hard leaving Connecticut to go hang out with the team I had just joined but oh whatever. The only downside to his trip was my shitty boyfriend.
Ex. Ex boyfriend sorry.
I had a mango smoothie in hand and watched as Paige and Azzi splashed each other with the bluest of waters. Every couple seconds I'd feel a breeze rush against my exposed collarbones. Even as the sun was beating down on me I felt so fresh and clean and free. My fingers felt around the sand I was sitting in. My eyes drifted from the ocean to the sky which was painted with oranges and yellows with pinky tones in-between. I took a sip from my smoothie before looking to my ride to find a creation brunette sitting down next to me. A soft smile was placed on her face as she made herself comfortable next to me.
Throughout the time that I was on this team, me and Nika barely talked outside of game days and team dinners. If I'm being honest, This summer was going to be my designated time to get closer with her. So her openly sitting next to me was a major step.
"Hey" her eyes flashed from the sand to me.
I quickly shaped my lips into a smile and looked into Nika's eyes.
"Hi theree"
I noticed her hands were wrapped around the handle of a beige tote bag. She let go of the bag to rest her hands against her chest as she laid herself down. Her sunglasses were black with a slightly lighter lens. She had on a bright blue bikini that the ends of her hair grazed ever so slightly. I felt her eyes linger towards mine as I admired her features.
"Sorry we haven't gotten to talk a lot in the past couple months" she said softly, accent thick.
"Your good. We have the whole summer to make up for it so don't worry" I kept my eyes locked on the ocean.
Up until now I thought Nika was the mean point guard who everyone was petrified by. And I was very convinced that they had a reason. But now talking to her face to face I felt myself grow confused on how this could've gotten around.
"Why aren't you out in the water huh?" The brunette said pointing to the ocean.
I shrugged my shoulders and turned my head to face Nika.
"I forgot my suit" an excuse quickly slipped out.
"Oh sure.." Nika said under her breath, clearly not believing me
Our conversation eventually died out so I decided to pull out a book from my beach bag. I flipped through the pages to find my last place and began reading. as I got lost in the words I didn't even realize that Nika had gotten up to go swim with the other girls. I peered through the top of my book to see Nika gently slipping her feet into the water. Ines quickly jumped onto Nika's back like a toddler on her mom. I couldn't help but giggle at the sight of Nika getting absolutely dunked into the water. Everyone but me and Qadence were in the water. I almost forgot I was even reading by the time Nika looked at me. I was caught staring at her. in a bikini. shit. I quickly darted my eyes down into my book and pretended that nothing happened.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Once the team got back to the hotel we were staying at the only thing I could focus on was trying to avoid Nika. Of course it was my luck that I happened to room with her. What a coincidence. I walked through the door of our room and set my flower printed bag on my bed and showered before doing anything else. I played my favorite summer playlist and left my clothes on the floor before stepping into the shower. My mind kept going back to the beach and seeing Nika in her bathing suit. Fuck. Doesn't she have a boyfriend or something? I cant be thinking this shit. But the way her hair was all wet and her laugh was so addicting to remember. The hot water running down my back along with the thought of Nika sent chills along my arms effortlessly.
I kept trying to focus on whatever SZA song was playing on my speaker but failed miserably. Soon enough I got out of the shower and slipped on a silk pajama set on. I braided my hair tightly and cleaned up the bathroom before turning the light off and leaving. When I got out of the bathroom the bedroom was still empty. Thank god. I flipped open my computer and turned on Outer Banks before pulling out my sketch book.
I came up with a rule before I came to UConn. The rule was that after everyday I have to draw anything that comes to mind until my mind is clear. Whether its cleared of happiness or anger. And I stuck to it.
Of course I had to draw the ocean and sand and all those beach like things. Before I knew it, I was drawing Nika. With her hair up with her hair down. In her bikini, in the outfit she wore yesterday and the day before. The was the first day that I had to shut my sketch book before my mind was clear because what the fuck was I doing. I couldn't be drawing Nika like a fucking psychopath. I stuffed my book into my suitcase and laid down on my bed. Time flew by as I watched more episodes of Outer Banks. So much time went by that when I was about to click 'next episode' to watch the last episode of season 3, Paige knocked on the door. Her head peeked through slowly. she had a devious smile on her lips and just like that her, Azzi, KK, Ice, and Nika busted through my door giggling and jumping around. Great they got high without me. I quickly protected my computer by closing it and putting it on my nightstand. Azzi crawled on top of my bed and sat next to me, placing her head on my shoulder.
While everyone laughed around hitting each other with pillows, I saw Nika standing in the corner on her phone. Her eyes seemed to get less and less dilated the more she tapped her thumbs aggressively on her screen. I stood up and walked up to her.
"You good?" I tried to not be nosey but gave up and looked down at her phone. She slowly handed it to me to show a text that her "boyfriend" sent. They broke up.
I quickly wrapped my arms around Nika and squeezed her tightly.
"He's going to be missing out on a lot love dont' worry"
Nika couldn't help but let a couple tears roll down her face. Just as I thought she was going to collapse and sob into my arms she pulled away and stared into my eyes menacingly. Her fingers quickly wrapped around my hand and began dragging me to the side. I looked up to see Nika leading me outside into the hallway. she led me all the way to Paige and Azzi's room. Without any hesitation she shut the door and locked it behind her.
"Nika what are you doi-" I began to say
"Shut up please."
Before even realizing what was happening I felt Nika press her lips against mine. A small gasp left my mouth but it wasn't a gasp that said I don't want to do this it was a gasp that said don't stop. My tongue quickly found its place against hers. Her hand lifted my thigh up against her hips and I quickly followed what she was doing by lifting my other leg up around her waist. She lifted my entire body up against hers and carried me to the other wall. She pressed my back against the wall and moved her lips down my neck, pausing in-between kisses to leave marks around each vein. My hands were wrapped around the back of her neck, my nails slightly dug into her skin the lower she got.
"Off." She said sternly once her lips reached the edge of my pajama top.
I didn't pause to think about anything and took off my top revealing my sports bra. Her fingers teased at the hem of my pants clearly wanting to take them off. Unfortunately for her it wasn't that easy.
"uh uh. you first"
I looked her dead in the eye and ran my hands across her tank top. Her hand released my waist, not changing the grip my legs had onto her waist. She slipped off her black tank top without breaking our eye contact. Her lips immediately gravitated back to my chest. I couldn't help but let out a soft whine as her lips made their way closer to my stomach.
"I can tell this is what you meant by getting to know each other" she spat before placing a kiss on my lips as she slipped off my pajama bottoms.
"Mind reader much?" I said in response
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The morning after everything that happened that night was unbearable. My eyes slowly blinked open to see Nika laying on my chest. Calm breaths left her mouth followed by a couple snores. I gently slipped out from under her and got dressed. As I walked into the bathroom I realized that I was definitely not in my room. We were both still in Paige and Azzi's room. Fuck fuck fuck.
Before even thinking, I rushed out of the room leaving Nika and ran to my room. The first thing I saw was Paige, Azzi, KK, and Ice laying on me and Nika's beds. Limbs sprawled out and everything. I chose to ignore the girls and ran to he bathroom to brush my teeth and clean myself up before Nika woke up. Once my hair was brushed out I slicked it back into a ponytail and got changed into a light orange sweater and grey Nike shorts. My feet were thankfully covered with a pair of socks. After I got changed and fixed myself up, I rushed back to Paige and Azzi's room to find a still asleep Nika laying on Paige's bed. She was now cuddled up onto the pillow I previously was sleeping on. Her hair was clearly tangled and her mascara was smudged.
I decided to do the most cringey and kidney of weird thing ever but who cares. I grabbed makeup remover and a brush from my bag and started by taking off her mascara. This woke Nika up quickly but she didn't do anything about it but groan. Once her mascara was off, I completely woke her up and helped her sit up so that I could brush her hair. Gently teasing through the tangles, I brushed through her hair. Her eyes were still mainly closed but she still tried her best to loop up at me as I gave her a mini makeover. Not that she needed it.
Once we were both fixed up a word still wasn't exchanged. Just giggling every few minutes. The both of us chose to ignore whatever happened last night even though we were both VERY aware that what happened well. Happened.
The rest of the day went by smoothly. Not many people asked what we were doing in Paige and Azzi's room surprisingly. a few glances were shared throughout the day whether it was when we went out to go shopping or when we went to shoot free throws for fun.
The same thing happened almost every night for the next week. Nika would be in whatever mood she was in so she'd crawl into my arms and lay there until we got each other's clothes off. We stayed like that for what felt like forever until July hit. Things began to get more innocent if you could use that word. The girls began to notice how close we were and how it took us a while to get up out of bed every couple of days. We decided to clear up everything and you know. Date.
Of course not everyone agreed with this. When we made things official, two specific men had very strong opinions about this. Of course when things were officiated my mind was completely blank when it came to the fact that I still had a boyfriend. A shitty one but still.
Now I'm not saying that cheating was the right thing but I mean…it's Nika Muhl who could say no.

The Bride (Pure Vanilla Cookie x fem!Reader) [Part 2]
And we're back! Still no beta. Also, I started writing this before I caught up to Beast Yeast Chapter 7, so if there's anything inaccurate with the current state of canon, that's why
+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-
Opening his eyes is a daunting task, but he tackles it as he always did ever since his childhood. The farm needed tending before the sun even presented to make sure everything would run smoothly and his parents needed his help to complete those tasks, after all, so Pure Vanilla Cookie had long cultivated the habit of not taking too long to shake off sleep and start his day.
Still, he struggles to open his eyes and he isn’t sure why.
“I think you killed him.”
“Don’t be silly! My handsome husband wouldn’t die from so little!”
Whispered words reach his ears, finally giving him the push to open his eyes and blink them owlishly a few times as his mind processes what—or who stands in front of him. It is a cookie he has never seen before, one oddly beautiful, like the statues of pure white sugar one can find in old chapels and cathedrals. Beautiful, yes, yet morbid.
“Oh, you’re awake!” The beautiful cookie smiles at him, stepping closer. The light of the candle on the bedside table—whose bed and whose room is he in? Did she carry him here? Has he been kidnapped?—allowing him to take a better look at her.
She seems to be a bit taller than the average cookie and her dough has an odd quality to it. It looks not quite fresh and not quite stale, like it stopped in the middle of the process of losing vitality. Her eyes are void of all light, cold and unseeing in appearance. Her gown is a beautiful and elaborated piece, from the bodice encrusted with jewelry—delicate jewelry that imitate little flowers and stars so well he has a hard time believing they’re stones and metals—to the long layered skirt that hides her legs and feet, as if she is part cloud—more jewels and flowers that shine beautifully—and the puffy sleeves that protect her arms from the slight breeze entering from the windows. A long veil dangles from the elegant up-do of her hair, falling like a curtain of the silkiest cotton candy.
The picture perfect image of a breathtaking bride ready to walk down the aisle.
“I think you hit his head against too many roots,” he can’t see who speaks, however the voice strangely seems to come from the cookie.
“Shh, quiet you!” she hisses, knocking on her own head before returning to her smiling expression. “I’m glad you’re awake, husband. I was afraid for a second.”
Wait.
“Husband?” his voice comes a bit raspy. Sitting up, he finally looks at the room he currently finds himself in.
It is a big room, much bigger than one cookie needed, decorated richly with plants and vases and statuettes. The bed he rests on is big, big enough for three of him, the bedding, of a pastel yellow with blue and white flowers, soft and comfortable, of a quality one would only see in Golden Cheese Cookie’s castle. The furniture was definitely crafted lovingly by a talented hand, each star and flower carved to perfection. The mirror shows Pure Vanilla Cookie his own confused face and slight crooked bow tie-
Bow tie?!
“What?!”
Throwing the covers aside, he takes a good look at his garments. Long gone are his usual flowing tunic and cape, instead a perfectly fitted white tuxedo with gold lapels and accents greets him. A hand to his head confirms that his hat is nowhere to see. He also cannot find his trusty staff anywhere.
“Don’t worry, dear, I didn’t change you... That should be saved for our honeymoon, right?”
Looking back at the only other cookie in the room, Pure Vanilla finally notices how similar the hands cupping her cheeks are to the one that grabbed his wrist and pulled him. Dry and hardened, like a branch.
“H... honeymoon?” he stutters, looking around one last time in hopes of finding at least his staff. “I’m sorry, there must be a mistake...”
“There is no mistake, husband. The vows were said and the rings were exchanged, we’re now wife and husband!”
She giggles, showing off her left hand.
The promise ring he prepared for White Lily Cookie glints from her ring finger.
