Visiting north america must just be the biggest pick-me-up self esteem thing any Brit or Irish person can experience, like America should change its motto from all that 'tired and weary' bullshit, that's false anyway, 'give me your low esteem Brits and Irish' and fifteen lads down the pub will compliment their accent and send them home with a spring in their step like we cannot seem to help it
#The drunker the night gets the more you'll have to hear about somebody's relative though#Am I speaking from really recent experience? Hmmmmmmmm maybe#Personally though I get away scot-free squeaky-clean without having my accent scrutinised like that#by virtue of having an Indian accent. If and when people *can* at all place it they don't wanna know shit about it#So people don't trouble me down the pub thank god#If there's one positive that came out of a decade of shitty travel.com 'least sexy accents ranked' lists (how were those even a thing???)#and all the abuse about call centres you randomly get it's that ppl don't fetishise your accent. At least one good thing.#UK#Ireland#America#Accents

Heya! 💖
So first of all...I FUCKING LOVE YOUR STUFF!
God, you're a godsend and I really love all your writing. It's all so well written and I can't get enough of it!
So, I dunno if you take any requests, but after hearing this audio (and I think you know exactly what I mean 😏), I can't help but wonder if you'd write a short little FF of Leander and Sebastian getting really drunk or something and they hate-fuck each other, but it's a one time thing and they swear to never talk about it. 🥵
This has been stuck in my head for quite a while and I would love to read it in your style! 💖💖💖
Thank you 💖
Sorry it took a while to get round to it, and I hope this is alright. 🍆🔥🫠 Ao3 link
Sebastian Sallow x Leander Prewett NSFW 🔞
My Secret Desire - Part One
As the last of the customers in the Three Broomsticks began to filter out of the pub, Leander put down his empty mug and yawned, rubbing his face with his hand. His eyes felt blurry, and the alcohol thrummed through his veins. He wasn't usually in the habit of drinking alone, but Garreth was on a date, and Leander was hoping that the dorm would be empty when he got back, Garreth making his moves elsewhere. It was just a reminder of his own failed love life.
It was a long walk back to the castle, and he figured he might sober up on the way rather than take the Floo. As he turned from the bar and made his way to the doors, he almost walked right into someone else and came to a sudden stop, his eyes clashing with a familiar pair of scowling brown eyes. Leander's mouth twisted sourly. "Sallow," he muttered.
He was not in the mood to pick a fight with Sebastian tonight, and made to pass by him, but Sebastian grabbed at his arm, his face leering in close, the stench of whiskey on his breath as he spoke.
"Got a problem, Prewett?" He slurred.
Leander frowned, glancing down at the hand clutching his sleeve and shrugged himself free of Sebastian's grip, an odd shiver going up his back as he did so. "You're drunk, Sallow," he said. He shook his head at him. "You should head back before you get into trouble."
Sebastian narrowed his eyes. "Didn't know you cared," he mumbled. He pushed his hand through his hair, swaying a little on his feet.
Leander watched Sebastian for a moment, his head clear enough to ponder over his fellow classmate. Sebastian hadn't been the same since his twin had left school, and then he had got caught up with the new 5th year student. While the facts weren't widely known, Leander was sure they had gotten themselves into some kind of trouble. Sebastian had been bitter and mean ever since then, but grief did strange things to people, and it was well known that Sebastian's guardian had died.
With the end of 7th year fast approaching, Leander doubted he would see Sebastian again once they parted ways to begin their new lives. Why should he even care? Though, it would be odd not bickering with him in the halls or winding him up in classes. While Sebastian had become a rival of sorts, it would be odd not to see him skulking about. Dare he admit that he would miss their banter.
Leander sighed and got a hold on Sebastian's elbow. "Come on, you can walk back with me."
Sebastian grunted and yanked his arm free of Leander's grip, his cheeks flushing red as he glared at him. "Don't fucking touch me," he hissed. "I don't need your help!"
"Fine," Leander bit out. Frustration tightened his face as he stared at Sebastian, and then he shook his head again. The bloke was like an irritating itch that you couldn't reach. "Suit yourself."
The chilly night air bit into Leander's face as he walked down the cobbled street towards the main path back to Hogwarts. The sky was clear and full of stars, and Leander pulled his collar up a little, a puff of white leaving his lips as he sighed. Some people just didn't or couldn't accept help.
The path was mostly deserted, but Leander still kept a wary eye as he walked, the moonlight glittering on the lake water, the breeze ruffling through the bare trees. Spring was a long time showing its face, and he was looking forward to warmer days.
The soft sound of gravel shifting on the path behind Leander made him tilt his head. He kept moving, and he didn't look back, but his ears pricked up to listen out for more. Perhaps he should have Apparated, or used the Floo, but he was no coward, and he kept a steady pace as he walked.
The old ruin came up on his right, the broken edges of the brick appearing pale as the moonlight reflected off the dilapidated structure. The sound of feet came again from behind him, and this time Leander turned, his fingers gripping the handle of his wand. His eyes scanned the path, but there was no sign of anyone, the walkway empty, the only shadows were those of the trees as they shifted in the breeze.
As Leander turned back, movement to his right caught his eye, a shimmer of a spell hiding a figure in the grass at the edge of the path. With a quick flick of his wand, he cast to his right, hitting the glamour with a quick stun. A grunt sounded, the glamour disappeared, and a figure dressed in black fell into the grass. Leander stood for a moment, puzzled and unsure. He could have sworn... No, why would he?
Leander grit his teeth and stalked through the grass to look closer at the figure sprawled out on the ground, his wand aimed. A sigh left his lips when he saw the mop of brown hair and disgruntled face as Sebastian struggled to sit up.
"What the fuck are you doing?" Leander frowned. "Were you following me?"
"Don't flatter yourself, Prewett," Sebastian groused. He shifted to his knees and planted a boot to leverage himself up. A chuckle slipped from his lips. "Did I scare you?"
Leander rolled his eyes. "Idiot," he muttered. Again, he didn't have the inclination to deal with this crap, and he turned away.
He yelped in surprise as Sebastian grabbed his arm, pulling him roughly back around. "Don't turn your back on me," Sebastian snarled.
Leander shoved him, making him stumble, but Sebastian whipped out his wand, throwing a quick cast. The drink made him sloppy, however, and Leander blocked it with ease. They began to cast at each other, throwing spells through the chilly darkness, moving in a constant circle as they dodged and parried.
Leander was growing tired of this bullshit and was beginning to regret his slight sympathy for Sallow earlier. He threw a spell out and caught Sebastian with it, just wanting this to be over so he could return to the castle in peace. Sebastian stumbled and hit an old barrel that was lying in the grass near the old ruin. He swore as he hit the ground, rolling over with a groan.
Leander stood there, debating going over against just leaving the prick to lie there, a drunken fool. He screwed his nose up, his upbringing winning out as he sighed and marched over to help Sebastian to his feet. He held out his hand, and Sebastian stilled, staring at it.
A war of expressions washed over Sebastian's face as he stared at Leander's hand. Leander felt warmth creep up his neck, the moonlight making Sebastian's freckled face pale, his full lips parted slightly as he breathed quickly. Then, Sebastian lifted his gaze to Leander's face, his eyes glittering in the dark. He reached up and took hold of Leander's hand, a smirk twisting those full lips.
Leander swallowed, the contact felt charged, different, and he almost yanked his hand away. This was too much eye contact. It made him feel strange, hot, as though his clothes were too tight all of a sudden. Sebastian adjusted his grip, fingertips grazing slightly against Leander's wrist, and Leander actually gasped.
Sebastian's eyes widened, only slightly, but enough for Leander to notice, and his cheeks grew very warm, very quickly.
A sharp tug was all it took. Sebastian pulled at Leander's hand, and he stumbled forward, the momentum making him fall to the ground. He collided with Sebastian, both of them grunting at the impact as their legs entangled. Sebastian was as quick as a snake, grabbing hold of Leander and throwing him back into the grass, pinning him down.
"What...?" Leander gasped. But his words were cut off into a strangled, muffled groan as Sebastian's mouth pressed down viciously onto his lips.
Shocked, Leander made to shove back, his hands slapping into Sebastian's chest, but the bloke was surprisingly strong. Their mouths ripped apart as they struggled, Sebastian using his knee to pin Leander down even harder.
"Don't fight it," Sebastian growled through gritted teeth.
Something like terror shot through Leander as his skin ignited into fizzing sparks, Sebastian was writhing against him, trying to pin his arms down, and Leander was growing dizzy with shock. Not at what Sebastian was doing, but at how his body was reacting. Leander lifted his head, his eyes wide and staring as he looked down to where Sebastian's hips were mashed against his, grinding against him.
Leander groaned, the fight going out of him as his cock began to twitch and swell. "Fuck," he hissed.
Sebastian met his eyes, the intensity of that stare making Leander forget he had lungs for a moment. And then Sebastian was kissing him again, hard kisses that made Leander open his mouth and take the thrust of a hot tongue, the taste of Firewhiskey and Sebastian heady and thick.
As Sebastian moved his lips over his jaw and down to his neck, Leander sucked in a much needed breath and then moaned as Sebastian bit him, teeth grazing his flesh with a sting that made his balls ache and his cock throb.
What the fuck were they doing? Leander went still, laying in the grass as Sebastian kissed and sucked at his neck, his hips grinding against his cock. His mind screamed at him to push Sebastian off, this was crazy, it was fucked up, they hated each other. Right?
He sucked in another harsh breath as Sebastian pulled at his belt, the buckle clinking in the darkness, the buttons popping open. Leander groaned, his hips flexing as Sebastian shoved his hand deep inside his pants, fingers curling over his erection in strokes that had Leander almost choking with lust.
"Seb...Sebastian..." The words were mumbled, almost incoherent as heat pulsed between his thighs at Sebastian's firm pumps.
"That's it," Sebastian said darkly. "You want it. You want me to touch you."
Leander fisted the front of Sebastian's jumper, forcing him a little closer so he could look at him. "Why?" It was meant to be a demand, but it was a strangled plea, his throat working hard as Sebastian tormented him with clever strokes.
Sebastian smirked and chuckled, rolling his bottom lip between his teeth as he pumped his fist faster. Leander stared and groaned, his head falling back, but his eyes still locked on Sebastian. Why was this so fucking hot?
Leander gave up trying to question it, his mind spinning out as lust took over. He relaxed back into the grass, soft moans leaving him as Sebastian shifted downwards, pulling Leander's trousers with him so that the chilly night air hit his hot flesh. Leander shivered and then cried out as he felt soft, full lips take his head in a gentle suck.
Leander had to look, he had to see this, leaning up on his elbows as Sebastian took his cock deeper into his mouth, that messy mop of hair just begging to be pulled as Sebastian fucked him with his mouth. A vibration shuddered through him as Sebastian moaned, his fingers cupping Leander's balls as he spread his tongue along the shaft, swirling over the tip to gather up the seeping pre cum.
Sebastian sucked his fingers and then began to stroke Leander's hole, teasing it gently, and Leander flexed his hips, eyes closing in bliss at the way he touched him.
"Oh fuck," Leander said. He grabbed Sebastian's hair and pulled, and Sebastian almost growled, sucking him even deeper and harder. The intrusion of a finger, slow and teasing, was tipping Leander over the edge, but he didn't want it to stop. Leander's thighs trembled, his breathless moans sounding filthy to his own ears as his hips bucked, thrusting himself deeper into Sebastian's throat.
"I'm going to cum," he whimpered. Sebastian grabbed his arse cheek and squeezed, taking him deep into his throat, and Leander felt the clench, his cock throbbing in the restricted cavern of Sebastian's throat as thick pulses of cum shot blissfully from his tip, his hole clenching around Sebastian's finger.
Leander was panting, jerking with over sensitivity as Sebastian's tongue lapped at his cock. He collapsed against the ground staring up at the starlit sky. He didn't know what to expect next, but it was not having his thighs spread wider. He looked down and gasped as Sebastian bent forward, a harsh sound coming from his throat before he spat messily against Leander's arse.
Leander had never seen anything so filthy in all his life. Cum dribbled from Sebastian's lips as he worked his mouth to spit again, spraying all the release he had caught onto Leander's hole. Sebastian was already sliding his fingers through it, his smirk positively wicked. Leander was speechless, his thoughts crashing into each other as he fantasised about licking the slick from Sebastian's chin.
"You ever been fucked before, Prewett?"
Leander shook his head. "N..no..."
Sebastian chuckled. "Don't worry, mate. I'll be gentle."
Leander hissed air through his teeth as Sebastian slid a finger deep into his hole, the squelch of his own cum and Sebastian's spit making his cheeks flood with crimson. He panted, still twitching from his orgasm as Sebastian worked at him, slipping another finger in.
"You're tight, Prewett," Sebastian said. His gaze was intense, almost feral as he glared at Leander. "I can't wait to get balls deep in there. Roll over for me like a good bitch."
Leander gulped and nodded, shifting to roll over on the grass, and Sebastian pulled his hips up. Leander felt rather exposed, arse up in the air, the cold air feeling strange against his intimate parts. But as Sebastian began to thrust with his fingers again, Leander forgot about the cold, concentrating only on the feel of Sebastian, the burn, and the tingle of each delicious invasion. His cheeks burned at the degradation, it shouldn't feel this good to let Sallow call him a bitch, but it made his cock begin to twitch again, his breath come in pants.
Sebastian shifted, and Leander heard the rustle of clothing, anticipation made his tongue thick in his mouth as he felt the silken hardness of Sebastian brush against his inner thigh. He trembled as he felt the press of a thick head against his hole. A stinging slap to his arse cheek made him squeal, the sound of it loud in the night.
Sebastian edged his way into Leander's arse, a deep groan coming from his mouth that sent shivers down Leander's spine. Leander gaped at the slow, torturous push of Sebastian's cock, stretching him out. His fingers gripped at the blades of grass, his nails digging into the dirt as Sebastian pulled back and then pushed deeper.
"Fucking hell," Leander groaned. He felt his muscles contract around that thick length, and Sebastian's fingers pinched viciously at his hips.
"Such a good bitch," Sebastian muttered. He began to thrust, lazy, teasing thrusts, and Leander closed his eyes, moaning and rocking his hips at the utter bliss of it.
It didn't stay that way for long. Sebastian began to grunt and pant, his hands gripping tightly as he began to fuck harder, his skin slapping against Leander's arse, the noise erotic and loud in the open space.
Leander's eyes rolled, filthy moans leaving his own lips as his cock hardened painfully. He reached down and grasped it, wanking himself in time to Sebastian's violent pounding. His knees scraped the dirt, his mind was spinning, but he was begging, the words pouring from his lips to be fucked harder.
A quick glance back showed Sebastian's face gleaming with sweat in the moonlight, his hair damp at the edges, and in disarray. He was like an animal, his mouth open and harsh sounds coming from his throat, a gleam of saliva dripping from his lower lip. Leander squeezed his own cock and groaned, hips bucking up to meet angry thrusts as he spurted a second load out onto the grass.
As his muscles clenched and contracted, Sebastian threw his head back, a feral sound leaving his mouth as he slammed in deep, grinding himself into Leander's arse cheeks as he found his own release.
Leander shuddered at the pulse of it deep inside of him, leaning forward to press his flushed face against the coolness of the grass, the musky scent of sex mingling with the smell of dirt.
Sebastian slid from him, the heat of him disappearing to be replaced with a chill against his soaked hole. Leander rolled over, panting, stunned, hot juices squelching out onto his inner thigh.
Sebastian was sucking in his breaths, staring at Leander, a satisfied grin on his face. He clambered to his feet, fixing his clothing and pushing his hand through his hair. "You took that well, Prewett. I'm almost impressed."
"Almost," Leander muttered. He began to straighten his own clothes. His legs shook as he stood, and he grit his teeth, not wanting to stumble in front of Sebastian. His arse felt strange, violated, but also tingled with something else. Something he never expected to associate with the irritating Slytherin before him. Pleasure.
Sebastian moved close and Leander tensed. Sebastian grabbed his jaw, having to look up at Leander due to their height difference, but the look on Sebastian's face was pure dominance.
"Open your mouth and say one word about this to anyone, and I will kill you," he said bluntly. There was no humour in that look, just pure command.
"Why the fuck would I tell anyone?" Leander frowned.
Sebastian patted his cheek. "Good boy," he purred.
Leander tried to suppress the way that soft praise made his insides twist pleasantly. He nodded and turned away, fixing his hair a little as he thought about making his move to leave. This could get awkward real fast.
Sebastian chuckled in the dark behind him as he began to walk. Leander didn't look back.
"See you tomorrow, Prewett," Sebastian taunted.
Leander shivered. He wasn't sure if he was meant to be terrified or turned on. The way he was blushing told him it was both.

Broken
Part 1
Birmingham had been tormented by rain for a second week. The humidity, mixed with the smoke of the factories, slowly crept into the lungs, enveloping and forcing out what was left of the clean air.
The girl sighs heavily, opening the door and gathering her strength to leave the house. Today or never.
She'd been living in this city for a month now, but she still couldn't find a job where she wouldn't be looked at as a potential prostitute. Other people's eyes were stabbing her in the back and her options were dwindling. The riskiest of all was at the same time the most likely to become reality. She took a step into the street, trying to look as confident as possible, while her mind replayed the prepared dialogues and scenarios over and over again.
With each step, the confidence that this was all originally a good idea evaporated, mixing in puddles with raindrops and road dust. God, why is everything so complicated? She pressed her lips together, trying to regain her strength and confidence-the next few hours might be the most difficult of her life.
It doesn't take long in Birmingham to realise whose city this is really. Even if you don't get into trouble, whispers in pubs, in markets, near factories echo the same name.
Shelby.
She sighs as she approaches that very pub, realising there's no turning back. The girl stands on the threshold in front of the door for a few seconds, fixing her hair one last time and then turning the doorknob sharply, hearing the tinkle of the metal bell above the door.
"Who the fuck are you? We're closed and nobody asked for another ... whore."
A man with strands from his hair falling down over his forehead notices you first, jumping up, throwing insulting comments in your direction. A group of men react sharply to the doorbell, turning around to face you, joining the first in looking at the girl from head to toe. Half of them keep their hands near their waistcoats so they can pull out a gun in case of danger and she smiles softly, closing the door and taking a few steps forward, still at a safe distance.
"Iris Lewis. And I'm certainly not another whore, Mr Shelby. May I?"
She nods towards the vacant neighbouring table. The girl knows that the one who reacted sharply to her appearance is the eldest of the family, Arthur.
The same Arthur Shelby whose name is soaked in blood and cut with scars, the same Arthur Shelby who is feared by at least half of the town, if not all of it. And now it's her turn to stand up to him and his attacks, hoping that at least the other members of the Shelby family will be more loyal to her and her request.
"Please," the other man nods at you. Thomas Shelby. Iris crossed paths with him a couple of times on the streets of the city, trying never to particularly catch his eye. Maybe she should have.
"We're not really open to talking to someone we don't know, but it's probably urgent. It's pretty brave to just turn up here. So, who are you Iris Lewis?"
"Thank you. I'm new to this town, but I really have nothing to lose, so.... I need a job. I've tried everything, but as I understand it, nothing happens in this town without your knowledge and control. That's why I'm here, asking you to hire me for literally anything."
"As I said – another fucking little whore," Arthur utters softly, sipping his whiskey, but the girl casts a quick and slightly tense glance in his direction. Inhale, exhale. Everything is under control.
"I moved here from London a month ago. In a way, it's an attempt at a fresh start. I... I studied medicine at college, but I really could start any job..... I heard there was a girl who used to work in this pub. I can handle this job... Any job..."
An awkward silence covers everyone in the room in a wave. Thomas doesn't take his eyes off the girl, tilting his head.
"Family?"
"No. My mother died giving birth to me. Father... Never wanted a daughter, wanted a second son. He and my brother both died in the war. I never had a good relationship with him. I don't know anyone else."
Shelby continues to stare at the girl and she becomes uncomfortable with the silence and the stares directed at her. God, what a terrible idea this was to begin with.
"The very girl who worked here betrayed our trust," after a few moments of silence, Thomas says quietly, tipping back his glass of whiskey.
"Bloody rat," Arthur hissed, receiving a sharp elbow strike in the rib from the man next to him.
"Arthur. Miss Lewis, would you be willing to trade your medical skills for a job in a bar among drunken men who refuse to pay, break glasses, fight and are sure to molest you?"
"I need a job, Mr Shelby," she smiles embarrassedly, still tapping her fingers nervously on her knee, "and I really don't know where to go anymore."
Thomas chuckles, turning round to his brother, who slides his finger unhappily over his empty glass.
"Arthur, it's your pub, your decision whether or not to hire Iris Lewis at the Harrison."
"What the hell, Tommy?"
The man jumps up again, sharply removing the sleeping strands, tucking them back from his forehead and adjusting his waistcoat, shaking himself.
"That wench, she's... How old is she, anyway?"
"Twenty-five," she answers, looking straight into Arthur Shelby's eyes without looking away, trying to look calm.
"Twenty bloody five! What do you know about pubs? Exactly nothing!"
He points his finger at her, boiling over, too fast. A few more seconds and Iris will probably see the muzzle of a gun instead of someone else's eyes.
"Perhaps one of the many perks of my age is the ability to still learn quickly?"
"Is that whore now telling me I'm old?"
"Arthur! At least a modicum of respect! That woman has more courage than half the men in this town!" Thomas jumps up from his seat and the girl feels herself between two fires.
The two men stare at each other for a few seconds and Arthur gives up first, sitting back down.
"Alright. You, Iris, tomorrow at the pub at seven in the morning. You're even a minute late, go back to your bloody London."
"Sure. Thank you. I really appreciate it," she smiles, standing up and extending her palm for a handshake with Arthur. The man reluctantly accepts the stranger's palm, but squeezes it nonetheless. Too hard, dominating. Iris nods, then extends her palm to Thomas, who responds more gallantly, but still feels the same strength and confidence through his handshake.
The girl slowly walks outside of the pub, finally exhaling. Rain drops wash over her face and she grins.
Iris Lewis, the girl who had the courage.

Dear diary,
It's been a while again. I keep meaning to update more often but life keeps us busy and I keep forgetting or choosing to do something else instead.
EVERYTHING has been breaking. Sometimes repeatedly. That is the danger you face when you buy an old house with old plumbing and wiring I suppose, but my gods has Pistachio had to run around looking for replacement parts and new tools and instructions on how to fix this or that. He refuses quite happily to call a maintenance worker for help. He has found his favourite thing to do and it turns out to be repairing broken things. I'm sure that there's a metaphor for himself and his family's damages in there somewhere but I don't press it.
His little garden has also started to produce crops. It's WONDERFUL to cook with fresh herbs straight from our own front porch! And eggs from our own coop and milk from our own cow and honey from our own hive!
Speaking of the hive, we are now connected on a strange deep level that I can't describe, one that still tugs on a long-forgotten period of my past. They swarm on me when I so wish and it freaks Pistachio out (they are protective of me so they may be a bit aggressive around him) - but they pollinate his plants, so he deals with it just as long as I make sure I don't have bees on me when I'm close to him. Kisses or woohoo with a bee interfering isn't a great time and only ends up in someone getting stung (or reflexively getting slapped in my case when Pistachio sees something crawling on me all of a sudden), and a dead bee.
Sometimes I think I understand what they're singing and dancing about and find myself humming with them. I keep craving their honey on everything, and sometimes eat it straight from the jar and then get sick because it's too much sugar and sweetness.
We've laid the foundations for a greenhouse, but the greenhouse itself has to wait still. We're running low on funds again so we have to wait until after these kids are born - thank goodness for being self-sufficient in a lot of simple things already.
I heard of a beast keeper in the woods who sells animal clothes and wanted to buy something nice for Mielikki, but couldn't afford it yet. I'll have to come back another time and trade some honey and crops for it. If I have time and remember. My brain is like a sieve lately. Pistachio caught me carrying one of the chicken somewhere and when he asked me what I was doing, I honestly couldn't tell him. I don't think I meant to take the chicken with me but just... forgot to put it back down. Kim says that the twins are holding my braincells hostage and she may be right.
I have also taken up a habit of visiting town and getting a snack at the pub. Tentatively trying to be a part of the community. I always come home ready to burst out of my skin and crawl under the bed to be away from people, but I'm slowly getting used to it. Starting to remember faces and names. People are recognising me and starting to register me as a neighbour instead of an outsider. It feels nice when I'm not being anxious about it.
My favourite thing to get at the pub is their mushroom soup, though I seem to have trouble eating it correctly sometimes. It's weird - it's like my body slips a little sideways of reality, and I don't interact with it correctly even though I THINK I am - in this case spooning the soup out of thin air and being able to eat it fine. I don't think anyone noticed, but I have to be careful. Pistachio also likes visiting there, sometimes with me and sometimes alone. They serve a plasma drink there that's easy for him to grab when he's feeling thirsty.
Oh! And we saw the strange creature again the other day - this time stealing eggs from the coop. Pistachio was so angry and told it to drop the flapping egg. He got a closer look at it than I have before it shambled away, and he says it looks like a really fucked up old fox, but just... walking around. Its head is bent all the way back like its neck is broken, and its limbs are stretched and stiff, and the spine crooked. It still makes that horrible cracking noise. It didn't seem to want to be near Stash, but I still have a bad feeling about it. I don't like it.
The pregnancy has been going well and seems to follow the usual sim pregnancy timetable. I've had more time to enjoy it and pay attention to how I feel and how it feels, and come to be in touch with my own body in a new way. There's been some nausea and heartburn and a LOT of back pain, but Stash has been a godsend with that, giving me back rubs and massages any time I ask. He's been really attentive throughout the whole thing and has calmed down now that he's seen that it's entirely fine. Sometimes I feel like he can't keep his hands away from me and my belly. It fascinates him and he likes playing with the babies through it. I have to keep reminding him to not get attached, and he assured me that he still doesn't want kids of his own, no worries, and that he likes playing with other people's kids.
Sometimes when we snuggle on the couch and he cuddles my belly, I imagine this, but instead the children are ours. It immediately makes me uncomfortable - I think I'm quite happy enjoying these moments just like this and don't want them to be anything more.
I do want to marry Pistachio though. I have been playing with the thought but once again want it to be perfect, so I keep plotting and planning for now.
This surrogacy is nearing its end. The doctors want me to go be induced early, but I feel fine and want to give birth at home. It feels more comfortable, and Pistachio agrees. It's HIS first time seeing me go through it, and we both want him to feel as comfortable as possible too.
Any day now! I'm both excited and a little sad.

Crosses on my body
Part One Tommy Shelby x Reader
You were a nun in Dublin but when you decided to take action against those in powerful positions in the church you had to escape. When you turn up in Birmingham and begin a relationship with Tommy Shelby will he be able to protect you from your past?
”*°•.˜”*°•. ˜”*°•. ˜”*°••°*”˜.•°*”˜.•°*”˜.•°*”˜
All you could do was run, as fast as your legs would allow you. Fear drove you forward, it was the only thing that could motivate you to escape. As you got closer to the docks you felt every fibre of your body being lifted up to the heavens into freedom. You could feel your heart beating out of your body as you stepped onto the boat bound for Liverpool. Clutching your crucifix tight in your right hand, you stared out at the sea and let tears of shame roll down your face.
"Where are you coming from?" The British officer asked you as you handed over your identification in the Liverpool dock.
"Dublin," you mustered a fake smile.
"A lot of your lot coming here these days," he sighed and you had to resist rolling your eyes.
"All the more of us to help with the workforce then, as a woman of faith I have to hope we're all treated as God's children." You tightened your scarf around your neck and he looked at you through his eyelashes.
"Have you got any work set up for when you're here?" He asked.
"Yes, employment in Birmingham, this was just the easiest route to take." You handed over the advertisement and the correspondence you had with the Garrison Pub.
"Birmingham hmm, a lot of trouble in that city miss. Stay safe, you're free to enter." He handed you back your documents and you smiled before walking past him.
The journey to Birmingham wasn't too bad, the bruising on your neck made it worse- the swelling was bearable but the fact you had to wear a scratchy scarf everywhere was unimaginably uncomfortable. You took a cab to Garrison Lane and were surprised to hear yet another person warn you about 'the dangers of this city' as the driver put it. Was the evil you escaped present here too?
Tommy wasn't intending to go to the Garrison but when he saw you standing outside, clutching your crucifix he couldn't help himself. After Grace his inquisitive nature didn't usually get the best of him, but what could someone like you doing walking in there? Finding out you were Irish as well felt like too much of a coincidence but still Tommy observed you as you spoke to Harry and poured a pint.
"You don't look like someone who would know how to pour a pint," Arthur commented as you pushed his whisky towards him.
"I worked in a bar before being the the convent in Dublin," you smiled at him and he laughed.
"What were you? A fucking nun?" He asked.
"Yes, a fucking nun." You leaned on the bar and looked into his eyes.
"I like this one. Got a lot going on," Arthur yelled and Tommy approached the bar, sitting next to his brother "Tommy! Meet, Y/n. Our newest employee "
"I take it you're my employer?" You asked as you stuck out your hand towards him.
"Thomas Shelby, pleasure." He shook your hand and noted your soft hands but strong grip.
"He's all formality, Y/n. Tommy does not allow himself to have fun so forgive his lack of a friendly smile." Arthur's voice booked through the mostly empty pub and you laughed looking at Tommy's annoyed face.
"I'm used to the stoic type, so working somewhere like this allows me to actually see some kind of joy in people's eyes." You placed a glass of whisky in front of Thomas and he nodded in thanks.
"Where did you work before?" Tommy asked.
"A school. I taught orphaned children. But it was just too…" you paused. "There weren't any challenges. So I thought, maybe a new city." You could feel Tommys eyes on you, he knew you were lying.
"Working with children in those situations must give you challenges?" Tommy commented and you nodded.
"I suppose I wanted a new type of challenge for myself," you said quietly as you dried glasses and placed them under the bar.
"You can come with me to the church after your shift." Tommy said as he stood up and straightened his blazer.
"Do you need to be taught how to pray by someone who has a connection with our Lord?" You asked playfully.
"Perhaps." Tommy looked at the scarf around your neck before turning toward the door and leaving.
He knew you were hiding something, he'd never met someone of faith who didn't have some skeletons in their wardrobe. But what could someone like you hide? The scarf around your neck indicated to him that maybe you'd be strangled or hurt but that didn't exactly seem like a secret worth keeping. After the events with Grace he'd promised himself to not fall back into an arrangement full of lies but he couldn't help but think about your eyes. The darkness that he could see inside them mixed with sadness instantly drew him towards you.
It was approaching the end of your shift as the pub began to quieten down hour by hour when Thomas walked in and sat at the bar.
"Hope they haven't been too rowdy," he nodded to the private room where his brother and some other Shelby associates were.
"Not at all," you lied. "I'm used to it either way,"
"How is that? Going from barmaid to nun? Sounds too strange to lie about." Tommy picked up the glass of whisky you placed in front of him.
"Well, as they all say, I felt the calling of a higher power," you pointed up to the ceiling with a raised eyebrow. "I'm not exactly a complete success story but I still have a strong belief in God."
"Then why did you leave? This must be a backwater in comparison to what you came from." He commented looking over his glass at you.
"I love God. I don't necessarily love the way that love is expressed by others." You placed two pint glasses back under the bar.
"I don't believe in a higher power but I do agree with that. Some people use their religion to fund their own corruption," Tommy placed his left hand down on the bar, it was characteristically sticky. "You should get a barmaid to clean all this," he said with a smirk as he wiped his hand on his trouser leg.
"Ugh, tell me about it. Just can't get the staff." You walked towards the back with a handful of glasses before turning. "Still desiring a spiritual journey with me?" You asked him.
"Oh yes. Take those through and then you can leave for the night," He downed the rest of his whisky and you raised an eyebrow before placing down the glasses in the sink behind the bar.
As you left with Tommy walking towards the church the moon was at half wane, it reminded you of the night it had all happened- the night of the unforgivable act you'd committed.
"You're in your own head a lot huh?" Tommy remarked as he put his hands into the pocket of his overcoat.
"And you're not?" You retorted sharply.
"Fair point. I'll stand down." He smirked to himself.
"Have you ever prayed?" You asked.
"When I was younger, sometimes during the war. But that sort of thing beats down any hope of religion." His face was stoic once more.
"I can't imagine. But I know for some poor souls it was their only belief that they would get out alive. Were you infantry?" You turned your head towards him as you fidgeted with your sleeve.
"I was a tunneler. Along with Arthur, my other brother and some other men from here." Tommy looked up at the stars, the moon shining on the puddles pooled on the cobblestones.
"I'm sorry you had to suffer with that responsibility." You said with a genuine look of concern on your face.
"Well, all over now." Tommy said and a pregnant silence fell between the two that felt uncomfortable for you. You felt a need to fill it.
"I wish I could hear a church choir again or church bells" You reminisced as you saw the church up ahead.
"I think the only time I heard proper church bells and a choir was at my wedding, even then I didn't see the point of it." Tommy lit a cigarette and blew out the smoke. You held out your hand for one and he handed you one with a scoff.
"You're married?" You asked as you lit your cigarette and looked forward.
"Widowed now, anyways."
“I’m sorry for your loss, how did she die if you don’t mind me asking?” you tapped the ash off the end of your cigarette.
“She was killed a few months ago, I have no idea why I’m being so open with you. Might be the be the whole nun thing.” Tommy chuckled and you smiled.
“I get that a lot if you can believe. I’ve taken in a lot of secrets in my time regardless of how low level they were all important to me.” you looked toward Tommy.
“Are you going to save me from myself?” Tommy asked with a devilish look in his eyes.
“Only if you haven’t accepted Satan into your soul, Thomas.” You looked down at the pavement and didn’t notice Tommy looking at you. “If you are the Devil,” you paused.
“And I believe I might be.” Tommy interjected.
“Unless you find God, you’ll burn for eternity in Hell.” You smirked and Tommy sighed.
“Your God hasn’t given me much of a sign recently where i would express penance.” Tommy added and you shrugged.
“Sometimes we are not listening to his message,” You dropped your cigarette and stubbed it out.
“Here we are,” Tommy stopped and looked at the church before him. You stood by his side and took a deep breath, closing your eyes and allowing the wind to travel through your body.
As the two of you walked down the centre of the pews you took in the beauty of the Mother Mary statue at the centre feeling the warm ripple across your body as you approached the statue. Before sitting on the second pew from the front you made the sign of the cross on your chest, Tommy sat next to you. Bringing out your rosary Tommy raised an eyebrow.
“Have you ever prayed the rosary?” you asked holding the crucifix.
“Possibly with Polly when I was younger, but not with any knowledge of what I was doing,” Tommy looked down at your hands clutching the crucifix. “It’s sacred to you isn’t it?”
“Regardless of what has happened in the last 15 years of my life as a sister I always had the Lord and our Mother Mary. Prayer calms me and makes me feel like I’m uplifting myself. I suppose this crisis of faith I’m experiencing isn’t exactly the best time to show you how to pray.” You smiled and Tommy shook his head.
“You’re interesting to me. You were a nun for fuck sake, maybe I want to be saved?” Tommy theorised.
“And you believe I can save you, Thomas Shelby?” you asked looking into his eyes as he gazed down at your lips.
“I think you were sent here to save my soul,” He whispered
"I think you might be the devil," You said softly as you leant closer to his face
"Are you scared of that?" Tommy asked.
"I've been looking for a sign of God that he's listening. Some kind of notion that he still hears me. Perhaps if I kiss someone like you I will get that sign I need," you paused. "God will punish me."
“Then why do you want to kiss me?” He asked.
“So I know he exists,” you leant forward and kissed him softly, Tommy’s hand placed over your rosary in a confused notion of faith, “Ah, well. I wasn’t struck down by lightning. Maybe you aren’t the Devil.”
“I think I can challenge that point of view,” Tommy put a hand on your cheek.
“Our Father,” You began to whisper. “Who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.” You paused once more and tried to connect with your deeper self. “Amen.”

Take me home
Hi people! I hope you are all well! Here is a something I've worked on for a while. Uhm, I realise now that I have never posted anything I've written on here before, so I am a little nervouse, ngl. I've been into a horrible writersblock for over a year now and this is the firt piece I've even been able to finish, which also makes me kind of nervouse. Either way, here it is. I hope you'll like it, and if you do, pls let me know.
Wordcount: around 2500.
I haven't really proofread anything, so if there are anything that's a bit off, then I apologise.
Damn it. I lost. Again. Here I am pissed drunk in a bar, far away from home. Or... what's supposed to be my home. Anger, love, confusion, roads that lead nowhere. As to lately, I don't know what has gotten into me. We all know life's a rollercoaster, ups and downs, downs and ups. This time I wasn't prepared. I've hit the ground. Hard. Everything happened so fast.
Almost a year ago I moved from home. It was sudden but necessary. I got into college in London and saw my opportunity to leave my abusive household. For years the mental abuse had just gradually gotten worse. Although I love my parents to bits, it was not a healthy surrounding and I needed a new perspective. I moved into a small apartment a few minutes from my college. The apartment wasn't really luxurious. But what could I expect with rent that cheap. It was alright. For me at least. Soon after the move classes started. The first few days were rough. A lot of new things, new people, new surroundings and I was all alone. You see, I am not a fan of new things. I'd rather be stuck with everything the same than have the winds of change knock everything I know to pieces. That's what I soon noticed. I didn't recognise anything anymore. Everything was to pieces. I've never felt so lost or scared.
After a while, these strange feelings of insecurity and fear decreased a bit. I started seeing people from my classes. We went to lunches, studied, went out on the weekends. For the first time in a long while it felt like my life was starting to get better. I felt alive, not only like I was just existing. I felt normal. I lived in a large city, in a tiny apartment, barely being able to pay rent, eating fish sticks and whatever else cheap food that Tesco happened to sell out, spending all money on weekends clubbing, listening to bands, laughing, getting shitfaced, having the time of my life.
On one of these nights, I met someone. Someone that would change my life drastically, and thank god it was for the better. It was an ordinary weekend. Me and the girls got ready for a night out, as usual. Only this time we were to meet Angela's boyfriend and his friends. Everyone was crazy excited. I tried to be, but as we have stated before, I'm not doing very well with breaking routines or new things, hence my increasing anxiety. To cut the chase, Angela's boyfriend had nice friends. Especially one of them. Brian. I don't really know what drew me to him. He just seemed so calm and safe. Somewhat on my level. The others, Angela, Jessica and Amanda, were all outgoing girls, finding it easy to talk and meet new people, having no trouble being in the centre of attention. I did not enjoy those types of things. I enjoyed letting others being in the centre of attention and them leading the way. I thrive in the shadows of other people and Brian seemed to be the same way. He was the quiet one, the one in the shadows. But he didn't seem shy. He sat comfortably in the booth, a beer in his hand, listening in to the conversations, taking part in them whenever it was needed. He seemed so calm, safe, secure. Something I craved. He was tall, green, welcoming eyes. Angela sat down beside her boyfriend, Roger, a blonde, seemingly handsome guy. Jessica was called over to Freddie, a dark-haired man, seemingly not afraid to stand in the centre of attention, he was very authentic and expressive. At first, I'd say he'd be a bitch, but he was so nice and welcoming. Such a sweetheart. Amanda sat down between Jessica and John and they got carried away with their conversation pretty quickly.
Me being me, trying to read the room, the new people, anxiously stood there, at the end of the table. My anxiety started to peak at this uncomfortable social situation. I had no idea what to do. I froze. The others seemed engulfed in their conversations and bonding and hadn't noticed my uncomfortable state. But Brian did. He seemed to understand and saw my anxiety. It was amazing how he just knew how to deal with it without scaring me off more. He redirected his attention towards where I stood. He calmly called my name. His voice. I've never ever felt more secure. After a few calls, and his hand gracing mine, I zoned in again and once again became aware of my surroundings. His touch. Warm. Soft. Peaceful. "Hey" he said softly, "would you like to sit down?" he asked as he carefully for a second took a hold of my hand, with me not showing any sign of uncomfort, he carefully guided me to sit down beside him, a soft smile gracing his lips. "I'm so sorry for zoning out like that, thank you" I quietly whispered. He once again took a soft hold of my hand, smiling, "Don't apologise, I understand". Something told me he did understand.
And ever since we met that night, at a pub in Kensington, he has made me feel at home. Safe. Comfortable. My pieces were glued together again. Brian was my everything. He still is. The last few months with him has been filled with such happiness and security I never ever thought I'd experience. I love him to bits. He understands me and my needs like no other. He knows how to take care of my anxiety attacks. He knows how to help me relax. He is my rock in a stormy ocean.
Until today. Earlier today, the pieces he glued together, fell apart, again. Today we moved in together. We figured it would help with our economic situation since we were both students. I mean, we love each other so why not. Well. This is why. I am once again falling apart. My pieces are flying away. I couldn't handle one more change. I've broken up with my family, moved away from home, started college, all in the period of 6 months. It was too much. And now this. I love him. But my world has been picked apart once more.
The whole day I've been feeling my anxiety increasing. Usually, Brian notices or I feel comfortable telling him, but this time I noticed how excited he was, I didn't want to hurt him with my bullshit. It's horrible feeling yourself falling apart but not be able to do anything about it. It was 7 pm and Brian was unpacking things in the living room while I sat on the sofa trying not to lose it. He kept talking about how happy he was and how this was a dream of his. How excited he was to share his life with me, to love me. All the while he was so happy babbling away, I was freaking out. To say the least.
My anxiety kept increasing and now I couldn't handle it anymore. I felt my breathing quickening, my hands and legs started to shake and tears started to stream down my eyes. I couldn't do this. What have I done? "Love? What do you think hanging this here?" Brian asked excitedly holding up a poster on the wall. I couldn't breathe. "Love?" Brian asked before he turned around. My knees were up to my chin, hands holding them in place, rocking back and forth, tears streaming down my eyes. Brian was shocked to see me in this state of mind but wasted no time. He hurried up to me on the sofa. He sat down on his knees in front of me, his hands on my cheeks. "Love, look at me" he pleaded with a calm voice. "Love" he said, more firmly this time. "Shh you're okay, love, I got you" he said as I lifted my head to look at him. I was frightened. His beautiful, angelic face that earlier always brought me peace and comfort were now triggering my anxiety. I ran. I ran out of the apartment, down the staircase and out of the building. Before leaving the building I heard Brian calling my name, running after me.
That's where I am right now. I ran to a pub, the pub we met at. I'm drunk. Anger, love, confusion, roads that lead nowhere. As to lately, I don't know what has gotten into me. We all know life's a rollercoaster, ups and downs, downs and ups. This time I wasn't prepared. I've hit the ground. Hard. Everything happened so fast. Wrapped up so consumed by all this confusion. With every thought I down a beer. "Could I get another one pls?" I slurred to the bartender. But no. No way I was going to drink more tonight. I don't know if it was intentional or not to go to the only pub in London where I'm recognisable since we go there all the time. Maybe I wanted to be found. The bartender declined and then went through a doorway to the kitchen. I heard him talking on the phone. He was talking about me. More than that I couldn't recognise and soon after my head hit the table and I was out.
I woke up in a bed. It took some time to locate where I was, but soon I noticed I was in our apartment. My head was killing me along with the anxiety and guilt. What the hell happened. I had no idea.
Soon enough Brian entered the room. I couldn't do anything. I barely dared to look at him. He looked exhausted. And there was something else, it shocked me that I couldn't decipher what it was.
"Hi" he calmly said as he strode to my side of the bed and set down a glass of water and aspirin.
"Hi" I vaguely answered.
The silence took over the room. I barely dared to move but did to take my aspirin and drink some well-needed water. Not letting my eyes of Brian, I watched as his tall body sat down on the side of the bed.
"How are you feeling?" he calmly asked as his hand strode closer to me but he didn't dare to touch me, probably confused by my signals yesterday.
I met him halfway and took a hold of his large and warm hand. As soon as he felt my hand on his he held mine tighter and let out a breath I didn't know he was holding.
"I don't know how to answer that" you answered honestly.
Brian hummed and stroked my hand with his thumb, looking at our locked hands.
"You scared me" he whispered. Tears threatening to leave his eyes.
That hurt.
"I'm so sorry" I panicked and sat up, only to regret it as my head almost pounded you dead. "Ow," I winced as my free hand went to hold my forehead.
"Careful" Brian voiced as calmly as ever. His eyes scanned around the room, trying to muster the courage for what he was to say next. He cleared his throat. "Can we talk about what happened?" he almost whispered, taking my hand in both of his, stroking it with his thumbs.
Of course, he wants to talk about it. There is nothing strange about that. However, I rather not. What am I supposed to say? That I panicked, that his face suddenly made me uneasy? That... I don't know. Suddenly I felt his hand upon my cheek. I must've zoned out.
"hey, it's alright"
I let out a loud sigh, catching Brians attention. "Brian, it is not alright. I'm a mess. What I did wasn't alright." Tears were now streaming down my cheeks. Burning like fire. Brians weight shifted as he crawled onto the bed, laying down behind me, embracing me like never before. His arms around my aching stomach and my arms. His leg over mine. His chin in the crook of my neck, whispering calming sentences while my tears shook my body. His body warming mine. It's always so calming.
How can I be so damn lucky? I ran away from home, from my love, I got piss drunk at a pub, and still, he took me home, taking care of me, holding me, loving me like no other. It's suffocating in the best way.
The tears calmed down. "Brian, I want to come home", I sniffed, crampingly grabbing onto his large, warm hand. "I'm hurting. I'm so lost. Confused. Angry." the tears were now rapidly streaming down my face again as I poured my aching heart out. "I really had to get away from home to live my life, to get better. When I first got here I felt cheated. It was so hard and I've never been worse my whole life. I've never felt more alone, left out, beaten up." I kept rambling on. "I know, love, I know." Brian cooed into my neck, stroking my arm. "But you don't Brian. I can't seem to find my way home. I'm so lost." I said as tears wrecked my body. Brian, holding me, securing me, hushing me, whispering sweet things. "I don't even know how you put up with me. I'm so broken. I came to you with a broken faith, and you gave me more than a hand to hold." The first time I voiced my fear and insecurity about how Brian feel about me. I'm so scared he'll leave me. He's all I've got. "Love, shh, It's ok. Hey, listen to me." he started as he turned me so I could look at him. "I understand that you feel like you're lost, I really do. Everything you've ever known has changed in less than a year. Space will eventually make it better, time will make it heal, and soon enough you won't feel like you're haunted. You won't be lost forever!" He praised as his hand stroked my cheek. Emphasizing the last sentence. I won't be lost forever.
"I'm so scared Brian"
"I know baby" he embraced me, "I know."
"I need you, Brian, don't leave me please, you're all I've got." I cried into his chest.
"Baby I won't. I never could. I love you! I will hold you. I will take you home. I'll be here every step of the way. I'll be your home." He said as my body once more broke down in tears.
I know there must be somewhere better because he always takes me there. Maybe I've found my home. I think he's my home.

Practically bursting through the doors of the three broomsticks Aria Dumbledore was very quickly greeted by Alexander who led her to a secluded table in the corner of the pub.
"Are you okay, you seemed stressed?" He laughed nervously, upon noticing the fact she was slightly sweating from her walk from the castle.
"I need a drink." She demanded simply, about to make her way to the bar.
"Sit. I'll get it for you, you look like you need a rest." He continued to laugh.
"Fire Whiskey. And make it double!" She shouted after him, to which he replied with a simple thumbs up.
Almost immediately after Alexander left, a pair of mischievous red headed boys bounced into sight, pulling a chair up to the table. Removing her head from her hands, Aria could only let out a long, hard sigh at the sight of them.
"What going on here then, teach." Fred questioned sceptically with the raise of an eyebrow. "Who's the lad?"
"A friend." Aria replied through gritted teeth, wishing they would just leave her alone. She had been stressed out enough today as it were.
"Mmmmhmmm." George hummed. "He's a pretty good-looking friend if you ask me, professor."
"And he chose a spot all the way in the back, pretty intimate don't you think?" Fred continued.
"Pretty romantic. wouldn't you agree, Freddie?" The Weasley boy nudged his brother.
"Very romantic." The second Weasley twin nodded in agreement.
"Listen this isn't appropriate, I'm your professor, you best be gone before he gets back." Aria warned, while the boys continued to heckle her.
"You're only a professor in training. Besides it isn't against any rules for you speak to us out with the castle grounds, you've got nothing to worry about." George pointed out.
"Unless it's us she's worried about, eh Georgie?" The two boys turned to glare at their potion's mistress, waiting for her to crack.
Groaning loudly, Aria knew she couldn't get rid of the boys as easily as she had hoped. "Look, it's not a date. It's just a few drinks with a friend, okay? And he deserves to be able to come back to me without the two of you causing trouble. So go on, scram."
"Alright, alright, we'll go." They obeyed.
"Just one last thing." Fred spoke slowly, turning back on his heel. "Speaking of nice guys deserving things, how's the love life going?"
She knew it was coming, there was no escaping it. But for her sake, she hoped the boys could be trusted enough to keep their mouths shut, at least until the end of the year when she would be forced to confront all her problems head on.
"He deserves to know, Aria. You have to say something soon."
"I know, I know." She whispered, bowing her head in shame. "I just need to figure things out for myself first. Please don't say anything about this."
The twins looked between them deliberating who their loyalties lay with. "If you promise it's not a date, we have no reason to." Fred stated.
"It's not, I promise." She said sincerely.
And with that the boys retreated to their table not too far away, still keeping a close eye on their professor.
Alexander returned from the bar with a tray full of drinks for the pair of them.
"I thought you'd need them." He chuckled. And he was right as Aria instantly downed the entirety of her Fire Whiskey in one gulp.
For the next few hours, the pair laughed and drunk together, and for the first time since she had arrived at Hogwarts, she felt she finally had one true friend. It was nice to finally be able to talk to someone her age and not have to constantly fight to have a conversation or speak about work the whole time.
Unfortunately, though, within seconds of her coming to this realisation, Aria's hopes of maintaining her relationship with her new found 'friend' was shattered. Alexander reached his hand across the table, resting it gently on top of her own. Slowly he picked it up, moving it towards his lips before place a soft kiss on the back of her hand.
From the corner of her eye, Aria saw the Weasley twins watching her intently, forcing her to yank her hand away from the man.
"Another Drink?" Aria asked, already getting up from the table, making her way to the bar.
"Umm, no thanks." He said slightly confused, watching her walk away.
Passing the Weasley twins she avoided eye contact, praying Alexander would not make another move. At this rate making friends was not worth risking the twins spilling her secrets.
Of course, as Saturday's always were, the Three Broomsticks was packed full of students socialising with their friends and so Aria thanked God for once in her life that she would not get served any time soon. Rehearsing over in her head how she was about to end this 'date' with Alexander, all Aria wanted to do at this moment was run back to Hogwarts and go to sleep. It had been a long a day.
Finally reaching the front of the queue, Aria was barely focusing on her surroundings.
"What can I get you?" The bartender asked.
"Fire Whiskey. Double." Two voices spoke at once.
Snapping back to reality upon hearing that so easily recognisable voice, Aria looked to her right to see none other than Severus Snape sitting at the corner of the bar, fondling an empty glass of Fire Whiskey.
"I'll get those right up." The bartender complied, obviously catching it was an awkward situation, and decided to get both the drinks at the same time.
"Severus." Aria said softly. "What are you doing here?"
"You are not the only one permitted to enjoy themselves with the occasional libation, Miss Dumbledore." He retorted, his words slightly running together, suggesting he had either been here a while, or had a lot to drink. Or both. Aria thought.
"Of course." She smiled awkwardly, not quite knowing how to respond.
"And your date." Snape spat, clearly unaware of how loud he was being. "How is it going?"
"Like I said before, Professor Snape. It is not a date." Aria tried to act a little more professional than her mentor, fully away the pub was full of Hogwarts students.
"Doesn't look like it from where I'm sitting, the two of you seemed rather close just now." Snape continued to mumble.
"You were watching us?" Aria questioned, to which Snape chose to remain silent.
"Two double Fire Whiskeys." The bartender announced.
Snape handed over his money, gesturing that he would be paying for both drinks.
Aria nodded a small thank you and made to leave.
Grabbing his drink from the table Snape stood up from his bar stool and started to walk alongside Aria, until gradually they came to a halt in the center of the room.
"Can I help you, Severus?" Aria huffed irritably.
Snape pondered for a moment, taking a large gulp of Fire Whiskey, deciding whether or not to speak.
Aria started to walk away, thinking he was never going to say anything.
"What are you trying to achieve." He hiccupped, bringing her back to attention.
"I'm sorry?" Aria asked, spinning on her heel to face him once more. "I don't think I know what you mean."
"I know what you're doing." He hiccupped again, leaning against a wooden pole in an attempt to stabilise his balance. "You're playing a game, but what do you get from it?"
"I have no idea what you're on about Snape, now if you don't mind, I'm going back to my-"
"Date?" He cut in, raising one eyebrow suggestively.
"No." Aria smirked sourly, knowing he was trying to put words in her mouth.
"Then what is it? Because, that boy over there is clearly interested in you and you're leading him on." He spat, his voice raising the more he spoke.
"None of this is any of your business, Professor Snape." Aria said still trying to remain professional and remove herself from the situation, knowing the man was clearly intoxicated. It was clear now to Aria that the majority of students in the pub were invested in listening in to their professor's conversation.
"There's no point denying it, I've seen it for myself. He's not the first, this boy." The potions master raised his voice, latching onto the woman's wrist, stopping her from leaving.
"Professor Snape, I think maybe you should quieten down a bit, people are listening." Fred interrupted as the twins bravely came to Aria's rescue.
"Aria maybe it's time to go." George whispered to her, pulling her back from the potions master.
"Here's more of them now. Students." Snape scoffed, completely ignoring anything the twins tried to say. "I bet before you came to Hogwarts, you done the same to them. Lead them on, drew them in with your sickening charms, then just left them on the hook for you. Look at them now, coming to your rescue."
"Don't be ridiculous, Severus. This is highly inappropriate." Aria tried to keep her composure, motioning to the Weasley boys to leave them, but it was obvious to everyone that a scarlet blush had begun to warm her cheeks. "You need to go home Severus. You've had too much to drink, you don't know what you're saying."
"I know exactly what I'm saying. And I know that you're here on a date with some poor bloke whose got no chance and you'll happily admit that"
"That's not what's happening, you're twisting my words."
"And I know that all day you've been flirting with Igor Karkaroff." He continued, paying no mind no Aria's objections. "I found the two of you in a rather comprising position today after the Great Feast."
"You're exaggerating, Snape, you know fine well that's not what was going on." Aria cried, which again, Severus chose to ignore.
"You've even tried your godforsaken charms on me. You tried to get me on my own in your quarters to seduce me, you're constantly flirting in a feeble attempt to manipulate me. Thank god I'm not dull enough to fall for your sickening act. I mean even now, look at how you're dressed. I'm assuming it's for all our benefits, men have been gawking and drooling over you all day and you love it. You're a teacher dressed like a common whore, how utterly inappropriate. You'd have been fired by now if Dumbledore wasn't your precious grandfather."
"This has gone too far, Severus, you need to stop this now!" Aria demanded, her voice cracking a little as she tried to match his volume.
"I'm not done." He sneered at her, the venom in his voice, showing a side of her mentor she never wanted to encounter again.
"The icing on the fucking cake is, you done all of this, played all of these cruel, childish games, and all the while you're in a relationship." He paused, relishing in Aria's reaction. She froze on the spot like a deer caught in headlights. For the first time tonight her eyes connected with the professors. "Is he being played too? Or does he somehow benefit from your antics."
"How the hell do you know that." Aria whispered, her own tone turning sour.
"I saw the letter on your desk."
"You read my mail? How dare you! That is confidential. You just don't know when to stop do you?" Aria cried, utterly humiliated.
"What's going on here." Alexander chimed in, holding Aria by the arm attempting to get in between her and Snape. He had been stood aside, listening alongside the students, but didn't know how to process any of this information until now.
"Everything he's saying, it's not true!" Aria pleaded with her friend, praying he too wouldn't ridicule her in front of everyone. "But he is right, this wasn't supposed to be a date. Nothing will happen between us, I'm so sorry." She begged, trying to hold herself together.
"It's okay." Alexander whispered, not wanting to upset the woman further. "Come with me, I'll walk you home." He attempted to embrace her.
"We all know what that means." Snape scoffed, watching them walk away. "She'll probably do anything you want she's that much of a fucking slut."
Both Aria and Alexander stopped in their tracks. Aria's whole body froze, having no idea how to react. The word rung in her ears, sending a pain to her heart and making her body go numb as if she was being stabbed with a thousand tiny knives. This was not the first time she had been called that word, and it fucking hurt to hear.
Alexander on the other hand knew exactly how to react. He paused for a moment, hand wrapping tightly around his wand before changing his mind at the last minute. Before anyone knew what was happening Alexander swung a punch at Severus hitting him squarely in his right eye. The professor instantly doubled over swearing in pain.
The students listening in instantly made to look busy, not wanting to know what Severus Snape would do to retaliate. Unfortunately for those wanting to see a show, Snape simply fell to the nearest chair, keeping his head down.
Aria quickly pulled herself together knowing this was her mess to fix.
Alexander rubbed his knuckles to ease the pain, before wrapping an arm around Aria Dumbledore. "Come with me." He said.
"Actually Alexander, I think I better take him back to the castle." She gestured to the mass of black fabric and hair drooping over a table and chair.
"Are you mad, after all that he just said to you. There's no way I'm letting you walk alone with him. He should be fired for all he's done."
"He's drunk... and I provoked him really, it's not his fault." Aria lied. "He's not like this when he's sober, trust me."
After a few more minutes of persuasion Alexander finally let Aria have her way, and bid her goodbye.
By this time the whole of the pub was chattering and gossiping about what they had witnessed, but Aria knew this was not the time to address what had happened and she would just have to let time run its course. The only thing she could do not was please the screaming bartender and remove Severus from the premises.
Drunk and a little concussed it took the potions master a minute or two to come around, but by then Aria had managed to walk him out the pub and along the road back to Hogwarts.
"Why are you helping me." Snape slurred, as he stumbled his way along the path.
"Because I know you're not a bad guy." She said softly.
*
That evening Aria insisted on helping Snape into his private quarters. The effects of the night had begun to sober Severus up, the embarrassment rendering him speechless, but Aria couldn't help but worry for him. This was not a regular old outburst, something was obviously eating away at him, but she could not bring herself to ask what it was that drove him to that level of anger.
Not wanting to upset him further, Aria chose not to enter his bedroom and chose to stay in the main living area. Handing him a pint of water to sip on, the young Miss Dumbledore set out to arrange a place for him to sleep on the couch. She managed to gather a few stray blankets and pillows she had found lying around, and decided he was still too drunk to care whether or not he went to sleep in his clothes.
Crawling up on the couch beside where he sat, Aria help a make shift ice pack gently to his eye. It had already begun to swell and it was clear there would be a lot of bruising by the morning. Her heart hurt for him.
"Why are you doing this." Snape finally spoke, breaking the silence that had become so thick.
Aria took a deep intake of breath, not fully understanding herself why she was helping the man who had ridiculed in the worst possible way.
"I don't know." Was all she could say in return, shuffling closer to tend to his eye.
For what seemed like a lifetime, Snape's apprentice sat facing him on her knees, breathing slowly and deeply as she held the cold compress to his eye, desperately hoping the swelling would go down and result in minimal bruising. Though the bruising of his eye was the last thing Severus was concerned about. Not only had he embarrassed himself in front of half the student body, he had humiliated Aria and deeply hurt someone he truly cared about. Perhaps that's why he did it.
Severus knew the feelings he had for his assistant were becoming more real by the day and there was nothing he could do to stop them the more time they spent together. Perhaps his drunk-self had concluded that the only solution to his problem would be to drive her away, make her turn on him. But clearly his plan had failed. Now he was sat closer to her than he had ever been, watching her chest slowly rise and fall as she breathed in time to the beat of his heart.
Slowly Severus' lifted his gaze to the woman's face, watching her intently. For the first time since they had met, he saw a true sadness take over her, and he hated himself for being the reason she felt this way.
Snape suddenly felt completely dissociated from his body. He wasn't thinking, he didn't want to think. He had done enough of that in his lifetime and for once he just wanted to feel. Gingerly Snape nervously placed his hand over her own, catching Aria's attention as he removed the cloth of ice from his eye. Never breaking eye contact Severus shifted on the couch to face her better. She sat on her knees, her bare legs exposed, rubbing lightly against his own. Letting go of her hand, Severus softly placed it on her exposed waist.
Goosebumps immediately rose all over her body, when the professors hand rested on her waist. She had hoped he would just assume she was cold from holding the ice, but both of them knew this was not the case. She wanted to break her gaze, she couldn't stand how he was looking at her, but she could not force herself to look away. Never before had Aria encountered this side of Severus Snape, she didn't think anyone had, but she couldn't help herself from feeling enchanted.
Just as unexpectedly as the first had been, Severus placed a second hand on her cheek, while letting the first snake around her body to the small of her back. The couple's bodies had gradually came edged to each other and now they were so close they could feel each other's warm breath on their skins.
Severus dropped his eyes to Aria's mouth, almost contemplating his next move. He thought about it for so long, unable to make the final move. Their foreheads touched, and his nose brushed against hers, but he just did not have the nerve to close that final gap. Both Aria and Severus' breathing had picked up the pace, and as each jagged breath left their mouths, the atmosphere became even hotter and heavier.
Just as Severus worked up the courage to make his move Aria found herself snap back to reality. Jerking away from him, she left out a small gasp but quickly covered her mouth. "I'm sorry." She whispered, shaking her head as she saw the Snape's face fall. "I'm so sorry." She cried, tears forming in her eyes, as she backed away.
Severus pulled his hands a way, balling them into fists, knowing he had made a mistake. He got up from the couch just as Aria had done, moving backwards putting some distance between them.
"Aria..." He whispered, calling her by her name for the first time. He looked at her almost pleadingly. But even he didn't know whether he was begging her to stay or begging her for forgiveness.
"I have to go. I'm sorry Severus." She breathed again, fleeing from the room.
Just as Severus made to close the final gap between them, Aria thought back to his harsh words of the night. She remembered everything he had said, and it suddenly occurred to her that he may have been testing her. He had claimed she was playing games and using men. He knew she was in a relationship, why else would he do this? To try and seduce her completely out of the blue, he could only be trying to prove himself right, prove that she really was a user, a harlot, a slut.
Aria felt the tears pour from her eyes as she tried to make sense of the confusion Severus had caused. What exactly was he gaining from this? Why would he want to ridicule her even more than he already has? Maybe he was truly just a cruel man.

hey! so, i love your work, literally im in love with your stories, i think I've read them all like 7 times. I don't know if you are ok with trans characters, but trans sirius comming out to james, (they are already dating) and james being kinda confused at first becouse, how is the relationship supposed to keep going? and at the end he is ok with it, angs and fluff please:))) sorry if i had any mistakes, English is not my first language:)
((A/N: Warning for some transphobia!!! James is trying his best but has a reaction that’s kind of transphobic because he’s never dated anyone that’s trans. He works through it during the fic, but if that’s something that might bother you, you might want to consider skipping this one))
"So," Sirius said.
"So," James echoed. They'd agreed to talk about sex before trying anything. It sounded adult and healthy, and not like anything James had done before. Most of his relationships had started with sex. First time doing anything with a bloke had been because he sneaked out of school one night and found a queer pub. He'd been too young to be going, obviously, but he'd gotten his first kiss there. He hadn't been out to his parents by the time they passed, so his relationships had exclusively been late night encounters and illicit meetings-- not so illicit the older he got, but it had never been open until he started dating Sirius. "I'm- I mean, I'm pretty much up for anything. I've never been really picky. I'm... ready whenever you are, basically."
"Right." Sirius chewed on his lip a little, turning that over in his head. "I should- erm, I guess I should tell you that I'm. Erm. I'm trans. So. Y'know. There's some things I won't be comfortable doing. And er. I know that's a deal-breaker for some people. If it is for you, you should tell me now."
James blinked. "Oh. Er. I don't- er."
Sirius looked a little crestfallen but tried to cover it. "Yeah. I kind of expected that. It's fine. I should- I guess I'm going to go."
He started to stand, but James stopped him with a hand on his arm. "Don't- I mean- I just." He clamped his mouth shut so he didn't keep stuttering. He took a deep breath. "Can I think about it? I've only ever dated... I mean, you're pretty much the first person I've ever dated. And I've only ever shagged- well, people with dicks, you know?"
Sirius nodded.
James dropped his hand, and Sirius straightened the rest of the way. "I just need some time to think about it."
"I can give you a couple days, but James... I'm not going to wait around forever. Either you're alright with it or you're not."
"A couple days is fine," James hurried to say. "That's all I'll need. Thank you." James stood and gave him a quick kiss and flash a smile that was weakly returned-- he didn't want for Sirius to think that he didn't like him anymore. "I'll call you, alright?"
Sirius gave a small nod, then he left.
James threw himself onto the couch. He couldn't do this by himself. He was an utter dumbarse; he knew this. He needed outside help. Remus was trans so he'd be able to see Sirius's point of view on this, but James didn't want to inflict this conversation on him. Remus had another shite to deal with without having to walk James through his insecurities. That left Peter. Peter was probably the better choice since he was the one dating Remus. James reached out and grabbed his phone.
"Hello?"
"Hey Pete. I need some advice."
"You're asking me for advice? Bloody hell, the sky must be falling. Alright. What is it?"
James opened his mouth to say 'so Sirius is trans and I could use some advice since I'm bollocks at this dating thing and am only good at sex but it turns out that what I know isn't going to help me any' only to stop cold. He couldn't tell Peter that Sirius was trans. There were rules about this sort of shite. "Nevermind."
"Okay-?"
James hung up on him. He'd apologise later. Who the hell was he going to talk to? He couldn't talk to anyone that had met Sirius, but he still needed someone he was close enough with that he could talk about this sort of thing with them. He scrolled through his contact list. Lily. Bloody hell, that's right; Lily was back in the country. She'd gone to the States for a few years to study, and they were supposed to meet up for tea this weekend to catch up before she went back. He didn't want to wait until the weekend to talk about this though, so he hit call.
"Hey James. Canceling on me?"
"I wouldn't dare. I was hoping for some advice, actually." That she wouldn't have a chance to meet Sirius before she left made this better, because it wouldn't be retroactive outing or summat.
"From me? This should be good."
"Well- maybe advice isn't the right word. Someone to talk to? See, I've started dating someone, and he's trans."
"Alright. And?"
"And now I'm worried about sex."
"A vagina isn't a buggering goblin, Potter."
James rolled his eyes. "I'm well aware, thank you."
"Then what's the problem?"
"I don't know how to... do anything with those parts. Comparatively, penises are much easier to understand."
"I'm sure they are, but you like this bloke don't you?"
"'Course I do. If I didn't, I wouldn't be worrying about this. Listen, Lils, I know this is kind of shitty. I like him and what he's got in his pants shouldn't effect that at all."
"It shouldn't," Lily agreed. "Has it?"
James frowned as he thought about it. "I don't think so."
"Well you're not a total shit-head, that's a point in your direction. Listen mate, you're only going to work past this if you talk to your boyfriend about it. For all you know, he doesn't want you to touch him there, anyways. I can't give you catch-all advice for how to have sex with him because I don't know what he wants. Just- be honest. Open."
"Tell him I need a fucking step-by-step for how to have sex?"
"Yes," Lily said. Her tone was free of judgement. Straight and to the point. Yes, James needed to say that to him-- probably with those exact words.
"That's embarrassing," James muttered.
"How? It's not wrong to admit when you need help. Besides, it'll be less embarrassing for you to admit you don't know what you're doing than try to muddle through it and have someone get upset. Or hurt, depending on how badly you bugger up."
"For fuck's sake, I'm not going to hurt him."
"Maybe not intentionally, but if you don't talk to him, that might end up happening."
"I hate it when you're right."
"Do you? Me being right only helps you these days."
"Yeah, yeah," James muttered. "Thanks for the help, Lils, I'll think about it."
"Mmhmm."
"I'll see you Saturday, yeah?"
"Yep. Have a good time agonizing over this."
"You're such an arse."
"Yep," Lily said again. "You can agonize over that too, if it'll make you feel better. Good luck."
They both hung up, and James sighed. He knew this wasn't going to be a problem. He knew he'd be able to get past it. The trouble was in getting his emotions to sort themselves out. He knew, with one hundred percent certainty, that in the end, this didn't really matter to him. But he couldn't get that through his fucking head.
He didn't know what he was doing, here. He had no idea how to do normal relationships, and he'd thought that was as far as not-knowing-what-he-was-doing that he was going to get in this relationship. He'd figured that sex was going to be the part of this that he was actually good at.
Fuck, that's what was tripping him up, wasn't it? It's not that Sirius was trans-- which, thank God, James didn't really want to be an asshole and Sirius definitely didn't deserve it from him-- it was that James had lost the only good thing he was bringing to this relationship. He couldn't guarantee Sirius a good time-- not at first, at least-- and now it felt like... nothing. It felt like he had nothing. Nothing to offer, nothing to give. Except for the mess of a person that he was, that is, but that wasn't exactly a high value.
*
"I'm a mess," James said into his phone. He was laying down on the couch because it was easier to talk about the hard shit like that-- maybe those therapist couches had the right idea.
"...Okay?" Sirius said.
Yeah. Maybe not the best opening he'd ever had. "Wow, yeah, should've started differently. Sorry. Restarting," James declared. "Hi, Sirius, how are you?"
"Fine?"
"You don't sound too sure about that."
"My boyfriend said he needed time to think about our relationship and then he calls me acting like maybe he's not alright. So... I am fine, but I'm not sure you are."
James winced. He was buggering this up; was anyone surprised? "Right. Sorry. I'm fine, that's why I called. Or- I guess it would be more honest to say that I've realised I'm not fine but that's okay?"
"...Er. Alright. How about you just say what you planned on and I'll figure out what you mean from there."
"Right. So. Erm." He'd practiced saying this. Why did it have to be hard now? "You being trans? Totally not a problem. The er- problem is that I don't know what I'm doing."
"Like in life?"
"That too, but er, I was thinking more like with this relationship. I think I've told you before that you're the first person I've really dated."
"Yeah, you mentioned."
"Right, so when I figured out that I'm not going to be good at anything in this relationship, I sort of panicked. That's what that was. Also I told one of my friends you were trans because I needed advice, but she doesn't know who you are and you haven't met. I don't really know if that's alright or not but I wasn't getting anything done thinking on my own so I had to outsource- and wow now that I say it aloud that sounds really bad. I'm sorry."
To his surprise, Sirius snorted, completely uncaring. "James, I'm glad you didn't out me unnecessarily, but you and your mates are pretty much the only people that don't know. When I told my parents, they sort of lost it and told... well, everyone in a fifty kilometre radius from our house. Believe me, you're fine. I was nervous about telling you because I was afraid you'd-. Well. Panic. Which you sort of did, but now it sounds like it wasn't about me."
"It wasn't, rather. Do you know what it's like to have nothing to offer? I'm not used to filling that role."
"I'm- I'm sorry," Sirius said, amusement filling his voice. "Did you just say that you have nothing to offer? Is that what you think is happening here?"
"I mean. Yeah. I've met me. I'm a whole lot of fun to be around, but not good for the long term commitment shite."
"Ooo is that where we're headed? Long term commitment? That sounds like it will be a beautiful disaster, between you and me. Mostly me. I find it absolutely hilarious that you think you are the only disaster in this relationship."
"Hey, we're having an important relationship conversation over the phone because I was too bloody scared to have it in person. Clearly, I am the bigger disaster."
"Oh James," Sirius sighed. "You have so much to learn."
"Lily- oh, Lily, that's the friend that I called, you haven't met her because she's in the States most of the time these days-- she said I have to admit to you that you're going to have to teach me about sex since I wouldn't know what the hell I'm doing with you."
"Always a good thing to admit beforehand," Sirius said, and it didn't sound like he was mocking James. Not that James had really thought that he would, but it had been a concern in the back of his head. "Don't worry about it, we'll go nice and slow. As much as I would love to hop right into bed with you, past encounters have taught me to be cautious."
"That doesn't sound like fun."
"It wasn't," Sirius said honestly. "But I'm sure we'll be fine."
"I'm glad you're confident about this, because I'm sure as fuck not."
"Stop being so bloody pessimistic."
"Yes dear."
Sirius laughed. "Usual date night alright?"
"Sure. You want to go out or are we ordering take-away?"
"That's a whole day away; I don't know why you would think that I know."
"Flying by the seat of our pants, then?"
"As usual," Sirius agreed. "See you tomorrow."

Thank you @udderlymoo for requesting this fic, and I'm sorry it took so long! (I may or may not have written a fic for this prompt, realized that the premise didn't fit the prompt at all, and started over completely...) Anyway, I hope you enjoy!!
“Drive!” Neville shouted as he ran from the phone booth down the street. Draco saw him in his rear view mirror and unlocked the door.
“Neville?” Draco'd been waiting for Neville to come back from the Auror office so that they could go down to the pub as they usually did on Fridays. But, when the man pulled open Draco’s car door and slid himself in, he was assaulted by his wild appearance. His hair was a frizzy mess and his eyes blinked rapidly as he shot worried looks behind him, towards the red telephone booth behind them.
Draco’s nostrils flared and he began rummaging around for his keys. “Damn it, Longbottom! What the fuck did you do now?” He jammed his key into the car and struggled to get it going. The engine groaned, but they didn't move.
“Aurors, they're trailing me!” Neville said. “I- it was the plant- the vine that I gave to Ron as an anniversary present? It went wild and destroyed the offices- can't this car move?”
“It's old, you git! And I'm not the one who got the Aurors hot on my trail!
Neville cried, “I didn't mean to! I swear!”
A bright red flash hit the back of the car and propelled them forward three feet. The two turned around very slowly to see Harry Potter brandishing his wand like a maniac, another curse on the tip of his tongue.
“Are they even allowed to do that?”
“Of course they are, they’ll be the only ones getting themselves into trouble! God damn you Longbottom!”
Draco pressed his foot into the accelerator and sped off, barely paying attention to where he went.
“Is he supposed to be your friend? Maybe calling Potter mine is a bit of stretch, but yours? He just cursed the car!”
“Not the time Draco!”
The car sped down the street and took several close turns, sending the people on the sidewalk falling backwards, until they finally heard a siren behind them. A police car slid into their rear view mirror, with Ron Weasley at the wheel.
“Bloody hell,” Neville's jaw dropped. “Turn left quick!”
The man headed his instructions and veered sharply.
“Next right! Down that street! Past the bakery!” Neville continued shouting directions until they came across a short alley and ducked inside.
Suddenly, the sound of the sirens dulled and Draco pried his hands off the wheel. “Get out of the car, quick,” he hissed.
The two fell out just as the car caught up with them and the siren shrieked on the adjacent street. Draco pulled the man away from the car and against him, along the alley wall. Their chests heaved with heavy breaths.
When it had quieted again, Neville whispered, “You've got dirt in your hair.”
Draco pushed Neville back and purposely held his hands clenched at his sides as he scowled. “Thanks so much for that evaluation, Longbottom, but what the fuck are we supposed to do now?”
“Relax, I think I know where we are- come on.” Neville walked towards the side door of the building. The lock was unclasped.
“We can't just go waltzing in places, Longbottom!” Draco called out in a muted shout as Neville didn't heed his warning and opened the door without reservation.
Neville waved the man’s words off. “I know what I'm doing, trust me.”
Neville let himself into the building and Draco dragged a hand down his face. “I swear if I end up in Azkaban because of this man. If it was anyone else's I'd have bloody murdered them.”
Draco peeked into the doorway to see nothing but dark. “Neville?” he hissed, the word echoing off the far walls and high ceilings. “Where the bloody hell did you go?”
Draco stepped into the building with slow cautious steps, and the door slammed shut behind him. He leapt forward and brandished his wand. “What the fuck!”
The lights flashed on, blinding him momentarily, as shrill voices shouted, “Happy Birthday!”
Draco nearly fell over as a small crowd of his so-called ‘friends’ appeared around him, hands full of party-poppers and noise-makers as confetti rained down. He found himself in the center of a brightly lit bar- Winnie’s. He vaguely remembered Neville telling him about the new bar opening on 5th; now he wished he'd listened to the hints he'd given him, but hindsight.
A clothed tabled against the opposite wall held a large, triple tier cake with rainbow frosting practically dropping off of it.
“Wh- this was a joke?!”
“No, it was a surprise party.” Neville was standing in front of him, and he scratched his neck awkwardly. “I thought that at least was obvious.” Draco socked him in the arm.
“Loosen up!” Blaise said from behind him, making him jump again.
“Yeah Malfoy, loosen up a bit,” Ron said. He was standing beside him with a plate of mini pies in his hand that he was chomping down on.
Draco sputtered, “But you were just in that police car!”
“Yeah, that wasn't real either,” Harry chimed in, throwing an arm around Ron’s shoulders. “Had to obliviate quite a few muggles and hire some actors, but I think it was pretty impressive. Don't you?”
“Aw come on!” Blaise cried, “Can we finally start this party?”
Everyone around him screamed and Draco shoved his hands over his ears as music began blasting through the room. The heavy beat shook him to the bones.
“I'm sorry!” Neville looked sheepish as he held a hand to the back of neck, but Draco could barely hear him
“What?”
Neville shook his head and pulled Draco to a quieter corner of the club. “I'm sorry, that is if you don't like the party. I probably should have got some kind of assent from you- sorry.”
Draco chuckled and shook his head. “Neville it's wonderful, don't be sorry. Crazy, but wonderful. I mean you could have found a better way to get me here.”
“Ah, but there'd be no fun in that.”
Draco’s arms found their way around Neville’s waist, he blushed. “You're mad, you know? But it's been a while since someone has done something this nice for me. I guess what I mean to say is ‘thank you’.”
Neville gulped. “Anytime.”
Draco leaned over and pressed their lips together; Neville sighed and leaned into him, smiling through the kiss. Their bodies fit comfortably together and small moans fell from their mouths.
Resounding screams broke them apart as their friends cheered them on.
“It's about time!” someone shouted.
Draco laughed. “You're lucky I love you, because you're bloody mad.”

Sunday // May 1970

I've been driving for hours now.
I don't know the time.
I don't even know where the fuck I am?!
I don't know where I'm going but I like that, I can go anywhere, anything can happen that can lead me into any direction, any place in the world.
While thinking this in my head I think god got the wrong idea about "anything happening" and deciding that a deer should show up out of no where leading me to crash into a fucking tree.
___
A shooting pain ran up my neck as I saw stars all over the place as I opened my eyes. I tried to move my leg but I groaned in pain, I must've broke it or something.
Glass was stuck in my hair and had left cuts down my arm and in my cheek, I didn't want to touch it incase it went too deep but my arm was covered in little drops of blood.
I clicked my seatbelt off and got out the car limping my way to the back of the car.
The back of the car was a little flame slowly but surely getting bigger, I smelled gas from the from of the car.
"SHIT!" I shouted as I quickly got my suitcase out the car and dragged it away from the car. Groaning every time I put weight on my foot.
I wasn't able to get far enough away from the car when it exploded.
The blow making me fall onto the ground, I luckily fell onto my back with my suitcase covering my face so no flying bits of glass could hit my face or upper body.
Thank god I'm in the middle of nowhere or else I'd be in deep trouble.
I just stayed there for several minutes, on the cold ground; I didn't know if I had energy to get myself up. But one good thing out of it; the rain put the car fire out.
I took it slowly, I firstly moved my suitcase from my face and onto the ground next to me. I then sat up and looked at my mum's cat burning away.
Just as I thought things couldn't get worse; it starts to rain, and I mean rain like I've never seen before.
I crawled over to where a newspaper was sitting; sure it was soaking wet but maybe it would give me a hint of where the fuck I am. I bent down to pick up the news paper which was in the middle of this random isolated street.
It was a London Newspaper. I'm in London.
Fuck fuck I'm in London. I'm in the middle of nowhere, in London, in the pouring rain.
Eventually, I decided enough was enough and that I had to get some shelter before I died of pneumonia or some shit.
It took another good hour and half of walking, before I found shelter.
A small bar in the city of Kensington called PJ's.
By the time I made it near the entrance of the bar I was close to complete exhaustion, I was sore from all the cuts and the rain water wasn't helping, my foot was in complete agony. I couldn't walk another step without collapsing.

Roger P.O.V
"Freddie that was amazing!" Mary cheered as she made her way over to Freddie.
"Well thank you darling." Freddie smiled gathering her up in a tight hug and kissing her.
"Well done love." heard Veronica say quietly to John as she sat down at the opened back of the van next to him.
"I still feel like we're missing something though?" Freddie added; nothing was ever good enough for Fred.
"I think I'm missing something too." I mumbled as I watched a hot girl walk by.
"Hey?" She stopped and looked at me with blushed cheeks, I winked at her before she walked away giggling to herself.
"Get your head out the gutter eh?" Brian suggested nudging my shoulder with his.
I wasn't listening to their conversation after that but instead lit a cigarette while watching a lady appear from the darkness completely soaking form the rain. She limped along towards the building before throwing her suitcase down almost falling in top of it.
She was mostly in shadow so I couldn't see her properly; but from her cut legs I could tell she was in need of some help.
"What the bloody hell are you looking at now darling?" Freddie asked.
"The girl." Mary said as she looked in the direction I was.
"is it just me or does she look injured?"
"Oh shit she does?" Freddie gasped.
I put down my beer and walked over to her.
Margaret P.O.V
"I will not cry. I refuse to cry. Don't be such a weakling Margaret." I kept saying in my head to myself so maybe my watery eyes would calm down before I caused even more of a scene than what I've already done.
At least I looked calm keeping a straight face looking ahead. Maybe if I was by myself then I'd have a breakdown but we are near people so I keep quiet.
My head was splitting and my neck felt locked, glass started falling from my hair as I scratched my head.
"Hello?" I heard a voice say. I looked up to see 4 boys and 2 girls looking down at me.
I probably looked a mess. My mascara has likely ran down my cheeks due to a mix of rain and tears. I look like I went for a swim due to how bad the rain was; it's stopped now luckily enough.
"Honey what happened?" One of the girls said as she kneeled down next to me.
She was quite tall yet petite looking with a soft smile and a soft reassuring voice.
I clung onto her wrist just to make sure she was real; that this was all real and I wasn't dreaming back a couple miles in my mothers car.
Realising that this was all real was enough for me to burst out in a mix of anger, frustration and fear.
"M-my car crashed into a tree. A-a deer c-came out of nowhere. I don't know where i am. I don't know anyone in Kensington."i could barely speak due to my shakiness from the shock of crashing into a tree and the fact that it's fucking freezing and I'm soaking wet.
"Hey, hey calm down love." Another boy said; another soft and reassuring voice.
He kneeled down beside me and put his hand on my knee; something Greg would do under the dining table.
"No don't do that!" I snapped at him trying to pull my skirt down as low as I could.
"Darling I know what it's like arriving to a scary place without knowing anyone. But you can trust us because we won't hurt you we want to help you and take you somewhere safe." Another man said as he came down and sat in front of me with a respectable distance between me and him. None of our limbs were touching. This boy looked different from the rest, had weird looking teeth and a weird fashion sense; like flamboyant.
I like it.
I was too caught up in admiring the boys jewellery that I never noticed that one of the boys must've ran to his van to grab a fur coat.
"Can I put this around you?” The boy asked, this boy had brown hair but lighter than any of the rest of them, he had some sort of attitude to him like he was stuck up his own arse.
"I'm Freddie Darling. This is Mary, my love. And these 3 boys are John, Brian and Roger. This is Veronica who's Johns girlfriend. Now that we're not strangers how about we go into the bar into the heat and try to warm you up huh?"
____________
We've been in the bar for about an hour now. No one here but us; the bartender wasn't even there surely it should be closed by now.
"Roger I don't need crutches. It's just a little bump I'll be fine if I keep walking on it." I argued as I hopped back to the booth everyone was currently sitting at.
Except John, Mary and Veronica; they were away finding crutches for me; Mary said she saw a pair in storage at the back of the Pub.
"You May have broke your foot Margaret. We might need to take a trip to the hospital-"
"No! No hospitals I don't do hospitals." I snapped cutting off Brian's suggestions.
"Right okay. I'm just gonna drop the subject because I have a slight feeling that you will take a swing for me if I mutter the word hospital again." Brian's sitting back down with his hands raised slightly in defeat.
"I think that's a good idea Brian." I said back as I finally gave up and crawled back down on the floor to sit.
What the fuck am I doing? I've fucked everything up like usual; jumping into situations before looking at the whole picture.
I have to get my mums toasted car to Fisk before anyone finds it and contacts her. That's the first thing to do.
"Right I've got them." John said as he came back into the main hall holding a pair of crutches. Veronica and Mary following closely behind following closely behind.
"Can you help me up?" I asked Mary and Veronica took each hand and pulled me up.
"I do not need crutches John I am completely fine." I smiled with my head held high, both my feet on the ground.
"Margaret take the bloody crutches for god sake!" Roger complained as he snatched the crutches from John and held them out to me.
"Make me." I sassed back.
"For fuck sake you'll make your foot worse. Then we'll have no choice but to take you to the hospital."
"Please stop acting like my carer. I only met you an hour ago." I snapped as started to attempt to walk on my foot.
It hurt like an absolute bitch but I'm too arrogant to admit it; to admit he's right.
"Right now we are since we found you so I suggest you quit with this arrogance and just listen to me. Marg- MARGARET STOP FUCKING WALKING ON YOUR FOOT AND TAKE THE FUCKING CRUTCHES." Roger shouted over at me as I slowly but surely made my way around the hall. I ignored him and continued walking.
"Then since I'm so arrogant I guess I'll just leave then huh."
"Darling you go outside we'll carry you back in and tie you to a chair." Freddie Warner as he saw me limping towards the long corridor that lead to the main door.
"Ha, I like the sound of that!" I laughed, the long stretch of corridor made my voice echo around the empty bar.
The walls of the corridor was completely covered with thousands of band posters that date all the way back to 1955.
I stop and admire the biggest poster out of the lot.
"SMILE."
"Smile?" I breathe to myself; why does that ring a bell?
My thoughts left my head the minute I felt myself get lifted up and thrown over someone's shoulder.
I got the fright of my life until i caught a whiff of tobacco and cheap perfume; it's Roger.
"Roger! Put me down I swear to god I'll start kicking and screaming!" I warned as I found myself back in the main hall again.
"He won't let you down until you promise to listen to us. You are using they crutches even if I have to sew your bloody hands onto them dear." Freddie warned. He came over to me with a big grin on his face, he was amused by all this.
"But I have to find somewhere to stay-"
"You're staying with us dear."
"But I have to get rid of the car before someone finds it. I'll get skinned alive if my parents find out where I am." I complained.
"We'll get rid of it in the morning. I know I guy who can do it cheap." Roger said. I felt my anger levels raise from a concerning 70% to 100% as I felt Rogers head move slightly; his breath ticking the back of my thigh.
That's when I realised what I was wearing; I skirt, a short skirt.
"I swear to GOD ROGER IF YOUR LOOKING UP MY SKIRT IM GONNA FUCKING KICK YOUR ARSE." I shouted kicking him hard in the chest frantically.
"Hm you're a feisty one." Roger chuckled to mask his groans of paints I continued to kick.
Roger let me down from his shoulder and stood back up with a smirk on his face.
"It's taking all my strength not to rip Your balls sack off." I said surprisingly calmly.
"What's stopping your sweetheart-"
"Right enough you two! Please Margaret just take them please." Veronica pleaded as she passed both the crutches over. To which I rolled my eyes and placed them under neath my armpit.
I made my way over to my suitcase that was currently lying on the stage on top of a raggedy old discoloured towel. Luckily my suitcase ( or more my mums stolen suitcase) is waterproof so everything inside should be completely dry; although it's probably not nice and folded the way I done it when I was packing since a little over an hour ago I was lying on top of it taking a mental breakdown.
I opened it up and grabbed my camera from its case and put its strap around neck before slowly but surely making my way back to the entrance.
"Where are you going?" John asked as he caught up to me almost instantly; damn him and his long legs.
"I wanna look at the posters near the entrance. I'm not gonna run away I swear!" I snapped at him; this was all too claustrophobic I couldn't move an inch without people asking if I was okay or asking where I was going.
"I was just going to ask if you if you wanted to take my bed tonight, you need your sleep since you've been through a lot today and you're gone going to get it on the couch. I'm gonna stay at Veronica's." He said sweetly, it made my eyes water slightly; a lovely boy just gave up his bed to make sure i get a good nights sleep and I just nearly snapped his head off.
I stayed silent deciding I've done enough bitching and simply nodded my head.
"Come with me." I pleaded to him grabbing onto his arm before he had the chance to walk away from me.
He stayed silent too and nodded.
Stayed behind me making sure I didn't fall as I made my way back to the long stretch of corridor. I wasn't great on these things.
"So are you a photographer?" Johns asked as he watched me looking around intently for a good cluster of posters to take a picture of.
"Not professionally no."
"Are you a murderer that's going to kill my friends tonight as they sleep?" He asked surprisingly calmly.
"Because if you are. Take Rog first cause he can be a right bastard sometime." I burst out laughing at his comment; sometime I've not done for quite a while to be honest.
Just simply laugh without the worry of being sarcastic, without it being fake. Just a genuine, carefree laugh; it felt good.
"See I got you to smile." He said pointing at me.
"Right right you got me there. I'm not a Killer John. Just a runaway."
"What exactly are you running away from Margaret?"
"You'll find out soon."
