If you do ever get around to watching Terminator, you only need to watch the first two to really catch up on any missing pop culture stuff, despite there being 6 movies and a TV show

I quite enjoy movie #6 (with sapphic subtext goggles) and the TV show, but movies 3-5 are utterly skippable.

Thank you, I will definitely keep this in mind! It's on my list with Die Hard and Independence Day as movies that seem like good popcorn fun (and cultural touchstones... I didn't watch OG Star Wars until the 2010s, so I'm just perpetually behind on those 😂)

I think I gotta watch/rewatch the Alien movies. I think I only saw one of them, but I don't actually know/remember which one...

For the tier maker, do you want, like, the sequels? Pixar? The other very underrated DisneyToon studios movies?

Sequels and Pixar I would place separately from the other films since (personally) they're under a different set of rules

Sequels are based on their set of rules of how they continue the story, their skills and strengths (I am aware that quality wise they won't have a high level compared to the original so that's why) and overall enjoyment in their own stories they are telling

Pixar is well, Pixar. (Again this is my personal take) Pixar may be tied with Disney, but that doesn't make them exactly... Disney?

Pixar has their own strength with more mature, emotional and grounded movies. Pixar feels more like you can connect with them in a personal way, there's a reason why Pixar movies make you cry more and they feed off your tears (They got a lot of milage out of me after Coco man...). So I would not place Pixar movies in the same tier list alongside Disney Movies.

When I looked at the DisneyToon studios movies, man there's so many. Which now I understand why there was a limit now. They still are deserving of a tier list too

Mayhaps separating those that are theatrical films and direct-to-video movies

If a movie is tied in to a tv series that also should have its own tier list too

So many man... Its no wonder Disney has my soul in their vault...

Comfort Movies

First of all picking out just 7 movies is rude. I'm a Cinephile. Maybe I'll put some lesser-known ones in this list to prove my point?

Like Water for Chocolate. - It's got everything I love. Forbidden Romance, cooking, crochet, pining. Like I feel if you wanna be my lover, you've got to watch Like Water for Chocolate.

Les Miserable - I'm talking about the 10th-anniversary concert edition that used to run on PBS. I watch Les Mis once a month and have seen the play live a whopping 13 times.

Kiki's Delivery Service - No list would ever be complete without Ghibli. Kiki is about a magical young girl who doesn't know she's magical. That's my take, at least. I'm a witch thanks to Kiki.

Clue - Okay I know this is more mainstream, but it's Tim Curry at his best (sorry Rocky, I love you too.)

Breakfast Club - Again, more mainstream but I've lost track of how many times I've watched this just to watch it.

Princess Bride - Only 7 perfect movies exist, and Princess Bride is one of them.

It's a Wonderful Life - I watch it every Christmas. I love the black and White Jimmy Stewart version. Christmas can sometimes be hard, and I just find this moving extremely comforting.

nothing sadder than a piece of media making a girl who clearly more than anything else should be a dyke and then going out of their way to make sure the audience knows how interested in men she is. many such cases

They actually make physical media for a much larger percentage of movies than they ever did in the past. Often with a lot more care than any small release was treated in the early dvd days. Its just if you only watch streaming stuff or the big new recent box office hits you won't see that. It is so ridiculously easy to get physical media for movies that even 5 years ago you couldn't even find. Like yes Netflix is a stingy bastard but so many things are available on disc WITH special features than ever before

satoru turns into a cat, reader hates his guts as a human but loves cats coincidentally, reader and gojo are both teachers at jujutsu tech, satoru craves attention and doesn’t realize it until you give him some love <3

you can’t stand satoru, but when he gets hit by a curse that turns him into a cat, you find him, to his dismay, and take him home, only for him to realize how different you are when he isn’t around to pester you.

at first, he causes a lot of trouble. breaking things in your house, tearing up the pillows. he just wants to be a human again, but nobody can understand him! but you still take care of him and coddle him no matter how much trouble he causes, so different from how people treat him normally, as if he were a nuisance (which he kind of was on purpose). and he finds himself falling for you without realizing it.

so he stops being a bad cat, steadily losing hope that he’ll ever be human again. and satoru would be lying to himself if he said he didn’t enjoy how you stroked him while you read a book or let him sleep beside you at night. maybe it wasn’t so bad? so he decided then if he was going to be just a cat, he was fine with being your cat.

the higher-ups had taken note of his absence, obviously, and he only knows cause you’ve mentioned it to him. you had this endearingweird quirk where you’d talk to him as if he were a real person.

throughout his stay in your home as a house pet, satoru finds out a lot about you. you’ve always kept to yourself, but you vent your frustrations out to him while he’s like this, and he offers his comfort the best he can. which you appreciate, rewarding him with kisses that he secretly enjoys.

once he turns human again, by some miracle, his first thought is to go and find you. and when he does, you give him the cold shoulder like you used to, and it surprises him. before he realizes that, ah, he wasn’t your pet anymore. he was gojo satoru.

satoru realizes his feelings for you in that moment. when he feels the ache in his chest from your dismissive behavior, it leads him to starting his most important mission yet—winning your heart once more.

but this time, it’ll be as a person, not a damn cat.
