Omg a drabble about what you said with Dragon!Toshi wrapping his tail subconsciously around someone and then getting really embarrassed would be so lovely

"Toshinori," you murmured, leaning in close to your companion as you wandered through the market. "This disguise is never going to work if you keep wrapping your tail around my waist."

His face flushed red under his cloak, and his tail meekly unwound itself from your waist, disappearing once again under his clothes.

"Sorry," he whispered, half bending over to talk in your ear. "It's- you know I can't-''

"I know," you said, wry smile on your face. "But you're the one that insisted on the disguise in the first place."

It's really, really not much of a disguise in the first place. His horns make the hood sit awkwardly on his head, and while his wings were tucked against his back, they still formed a very noticeable lump under the cloak. Not to mention the fact that he's so incredibly tall- add all that with the bright, golden tail going from your 'disguised' companion to your waist- it really did give away the game.

Though...it wasn't like anyone was going to say anything. You'd written your sister and her wife a week earlier and asked that she spread the word that you'd be bringing a visitor to the market, and that, should anyone figure out who he is, they should keep that to themselves, since he was very skittish.

Still, it took the bad disguise to really make Toshinori feel comfortable going out in public, and you weren't about to ruin that for him. So, when a familiar golden tail wrapped around your waist again not five minutes later, like a child seeking it's parent's hand in an unfamiliar environment, you kept quiet yourself.

If you played a little with the fur tuft at the end of it, well, it seemed to help Toshinori relax, if only a tiny bit.

Bad said he was focusing too much on adapting the lore he had planned to fit with the factions, so by removing himself from the rebellion faction he can actually just go full steam ahead on his original plan

how can you tell if someones stolen one of your screenshots vs taking their own?

just curious because im terrible at spotting stuff like this and would hate to further share stolen screenshots

i am not delusional enough to think that every cropped sc is from me. but i have done enough compilation posts to know very intimately which ones i've posted (also my OLD old posts have very ugly cropping which no one in their right mind would replicate lbr).

and when suddenly, there's a post with say 10 scs in it, which were coincidentally all included in one of my compilation posts, then it's pretty safe to say person did a little bit of pick and choose action ( i also had two cases where they left scs with BOTH my mc names in there which was. very fucking obvious)

i obviously don't own the screenshots, but i think it's just plain disrespectful to take stuff without saying so much as a word and then pretend you came up with it

also ftr i genuinely like nano -- i think it's a fun challenge, especially if you don't take it too seriously. people can get really weird and moralistic about it but for the most part i've had fantastic experiences with the offline community. it is and has always been the highlight of my year.

it's the organization i have an issue with. like even setting aside the extremely pressing and upsetting problems with the forums and moderation in general, they've become aggressively corporatized over the years. they're racist, they're cultish, they're ludicrously transphobic and as a bonus they're happily funnelling you into predatory scams & websites that will take your first publication rights and prevent you from ever publishing your work. it's been deeply unfortunate and kind of saddening to watch them morph from a fun, friendly community into ... literally whatever the fuck this is.
