Oh yes absolutely, as a woman myself (I say through a fake smile) It is rather exhausting seeing who we are being reduced to one note Virgin Marys with bleeding hearts, scorned mothers or wounded victims of assault that will never recover, never love or never will have sex again. I do think Mouthwashing does an excellent job of telling the story of a rape victim, but how other people treat her beyond that, it's almost impossible to even have a character like Anya or even Angela from Silent Hill 2 without people stripping them and violating what their character is and instead of focusing on what they represent, a victim.

We need more horror games, movies and stories with characters that aren't just a plot point of rape or assault. There are some serious fucked up stuff when it comes to men who make horror movies or shows and have all of the women in it die horribly or gruesomely for no purpose other than displaying cruel and senseless violence towards a woman. Have you ever noticed how the women in every horror film always die first and are always the most torturous ways ever? That is some serious snuff film border lining and it is very much so done intentionally to prop up men's weird obsessions with hurting or killing us. Horror often focuses on violation and loss of autonomy, and the only way a lot of people can comprehend this for women is through sexual violence or loss of the family.

Women are also never active participants in their own horror, everything has to be pushed forward or solved by the man in some way. Just like how Mia Winters in RE7 is allowed some agency after Ethan rescues her, but in RE8 she is reduced to nothing but a desperate, captured mother who can't do anything but wait for a man to save her.

This is just as evident in games as it is in movies and the sudden influx of women who are rape victims or scorned mothers or some sort of horror surrounding pregnancy is because men are becoming too comfortable being the ones in control of narratives where women are tortured, grieving, mourning or are vulnerable and assaulted because of it. I'm not saying that we cannot have this in horror, when it is executed properly it is very, very good.

But most of the time it isn't executed properly, and certainly not made with the best intentions in mind. Some modern works have started to step away from this and I've seen some really cool explorations of different types of violation that recognise the subject as an actual, entire person and not just as a mother, but the problem still persists regardless.

i’ve read an all woman shrink epidemic story once, a bunch of women became the slaves of this one giant man and he tortured them very graphically. there was this once scene where he found out that a tiny woman he got pregnant was having a girl instead of a boy and he crushed her and threw her away. the story was wayyy more intense than what i usually read but i still think abt it sometimes. there was this one part where he dropped all the shrinkees in a bathtub and climbed in, forcing them to climb on his body or drown, and then had them soap him up. that part was kinda hot to me

some M/f stuff in particular ive noticed gets. particularly brutal.

but like for the worldbuilding, was it an every single woman on the planet shrinks situation? or just this one dude only shrinking women

Oh yeah lol I used to stumble upon that shit on Facebook literally all the time when I was like 13. That's just what the internet was like back then, which is why I genuinely get amused when people under 20 complain on and on about cartoon bullshit.

Like I can't take complaints about fictional gore or shit seriously 'cause the image of a still-alive man with no face biting down on the knife the killers are forcing into his mouth will be burned into my brain forever.

I think that traumatizing psychological experiments should become a thing again. We should also be allowed to participate in experimental surgeries for fun. No anesthetic. No numbing the pain. Just seeing a "Medically Licensed" doctor cut you open and mess with your insides as you're strapped to the table so tight that you can't move an inch.

rereading 666 over breakfast (as one does!) feeling crazy comparing alastor in part 4 (Would you let me eat you?/Not fatally) vs part 8 (Even if it happens, you’re no angel and we’re in hell—it’s not going to take)!! either his thoughts on dying (not permanent) to vox has changed or he was lying (inclined to believe the former because of how much their relationship has evolved since then) (but also alastor loves to lie).

Alastor's fucked up snuff request probably wouldn't have happened if he was sober, to be honest, but it was also a little more layered on top of that in the sense that his actual stated reason for asking ("It's too early for the evening to end") was true in two different ways: 1) He correctly assumed that it would lead to the evening winding down and didn't want for Vox to leave and for himself to get hit with some serious adrenaline drop, but also, 2) he really was genuinely just getting carried away, haha. His thoughts on dying to Vox have definitely changed and he's lying (to himself, about the fact that his thoughts on dying to Vox have changed).

Hi! Might know who this is after a post but could you do a kid for Red Velvet and Milk?

Yeah, sorry it took so long (I remember who this is), but here we are, with White Velvet Cookie

She was also done ages ago aside from her little sketch

So White Velvet here lives in the Dark Cacao Kingdom, specifically in the Milk Village (that's also where her parents live). She's part of the Cream Wolves, and maybe takes her job too seriously

She's kind of always on edge, not super trusting of strangers. The pose here is supposed to be her encountering someone on her patrol. She’s fine enough when she’s familiar with you, the Milk Villagers like her, but she’s a bit too uptight and doesn’t seem to have a concept of relaxation

There’s not too much I can remember about her other than this, sorry. On to design stuff

So her name was giving me a lot of trouble, because I wasn’t sure how to combine milk and red velvet cake. I think one of my first ideas was Tres Leches cake, but that name didn’t really fit with her parents. I tried many different things, but someone suggested white velvet cake, so I went with that. Reasoning? It’s a velvet cake, and it’s white in color like Milk

White velvet cake:

I remember one of the big difficult things about her being her colors. Mainly because white velvet is white and light yellow, but there’s no yellow in Milk or Red Velvet’s designs. And also straight yellow just didn’t look good on her. But I didn’t want her to be mostly white, because that’s just Milk’s color palette. The whole color thing is what made me shelve her for a while (though not as long as Dark Sapote)

I’d say by the final product though, the colors are fine enough

Her design’s more of a mix between Crunchy Chip’s and Milk’s, since she works in Crunchy Chip’s group and lives in Milk’s area

I knew I wanted to give her white eyes like Milk, but I didn’t want to put any sort of pupils in there like Red Velvet. I wanted to give her something that resembled Red Velvet, and someone suggested giving her different colored eyecing, which I eventually did, and I think it looks good

I’m also noticing now that the bag I had her hold isn’t drawn correct, as her hood is in front of it when it shouldn’t be, and now it’s bothering me

Overall I’d say she looks perfectly fine, she ain’t bad at all. Though overall with my recent fankids, I feel like I’m losing steam or I’m just not satisfied with them. White Velvet’s design isn’t bad, but I have next to nothing to say about her character, or much about any of the others for that matter. And I feel like only some of my recent designs are decent. White Velvet is in that latter category of decent design, but my current views are bringing my thoughts on her down in the process
