hi!! i am so so so enamored with how you write vox when he's just happy and more relaxed, kicking his feet under the blankets had me putting my phone down and taking deep breaths. and I love how their relationship is progressing to a place where they're able to be human with each other. not to mention the cannibalism...............

also I havent encountered many pieces of fiction (fan or otherwise) in my life that I resonated with as much as this, regarding how you portray alastor's asexuality. it's nice. i get him. he gets me. vox doesn't quite get off.

I fucking love Vox's silly canon physicality so much that I live for the moments where I get to include that shit in 666 because he's actually in a context where he'd let go enough for it.

This is probably my favorite gif of him, he's so silly. He has so much energy as a character and when he's not playing CEO Vox he's really shameless about expressing it in really fun ways.

Also YES honestly I love that this silly story has progressed to the point where I'm getting to explore these kinds of feelings between the two of them. They really went backwards, tbh. Horrendously kinky sex first, love declarations second, figuring out how to be half-functional friends... work in progress. :wheeze:

He’s driving Alastor back from work, a rare, treasured occurrence, mostly because it means he gets to drive without getting glares or baffled looks from everyone he passes by. It just looks to them like his husband—and, ah, he suddenly understands Alastor’s reasoning—is indulging him. Letting himself be driven around by. Well, Vox knows what he looks like.

rereading 666 over breakfast (as one does!) feeling crazy comparing alastor in part 4 (Would you let me eat you?/Not fatally) vs part 8 (Even if it happens, you’re no angel and we’re in hell—it’s not going to take)!! either his thoughts on dying (not permanent) to vox has changed or he was lying (inclined to believe the former because of how much their relationship has evolved since then) (but also alastor loves to lie).

anyway ramblings aside I really hope you feel better + less stressed soon!!!

Alastor's fucked up snuff request probably wouldn't have happened if he was sober, to be honest, but it was also a little more layered on top of that in the sense that his actual stated reason for asking ("It's too early for the evening to end") was true in two different ways: 1) He correctly assumed that it would lead to the evening winding down and didn't want for Vox to leave and for himself to get hit with some serious adrenaline drop, but also, 2) he really was genuinely just getting carried away, haha. His thoughts on dying to Vox have definitely changed and he's lying (to himself, about the fact that his thoughts on dying to Vox have changed).

Tl;dr: Yes. >:)

hi!!! the latest installment of 666 was incredible as always, had me texting the my friend at the speed of light as soon as I got that notif. alastor calling vox "lover" had me near gnawing my own arm off, and the "the way a fox loves a rabbit part" is so. beautiful and tender (FOR THEM). still screaming.

I was wondering if you have a beta readers, or if you just edit and post your fics by yourself? I'm trying to get into writing longer fics (as in longer than 3000 words), but the more I write the more I feel like I could really use a second pair of eyes on it. unfortunately I am also wildly nervous about sharing anything I've written with anyone beyond just posting a fic and vanishing into the ether for a few months. and I'm not sure how to get over that. or how to get a beta reader at all?? I was just wondering if you have some advice or opinions on the subject!! (okay if not obviously 🫶)

I used to have beta readers, but I don't anymore. I think it was very helpful earlier on when I was nervous about my writing, especially on the front of characterization, to ask folks to give it a read over to reassure me that the character voices read right. And it's always nice to have someone be able to take over catching some of my awkward word choices or typos, because I definitely do miss them occasionally nowadays that I don't have a beta reader - but, to be perfectly honest, the main reason I stopped is that I was writing too much and waiting for someone to have the time to beta my stuff didn't feel necessary anymore, hahaha.

As for who I asked to beta: zine fics with assigned writing mods aside, it's always just been whatever friend of mine is available and a member of the same fandom! This means that there's been a wide range of people in terms of actual writing experience that have looked over my works, and it's generally more helpful when an actual writer does it, but for my purposes it was usually just a characterizationg and SPaG check that I needed. Ask a friend, and just let them know what you're actually looking for in a beta read! SPaG? Characterization? Sentence flow? Pacing? Plot coherency? A hype man? A harsh critic? All are valid and varying levels of beta work!

If you're not looking for characterization checks, it doesn't even have to be someone that knows the fandom! I hope this was at least a little bit helpful, and congrats on getting into writing some longer works - that's always really exciting!

15. Do you prefer writing one-shots or multi-chapter fics?

Weird answer: I like multichapters, but only short ones. 2-4 chapters max, 3-6k word range per chapter. It gives me the room to open up whatever concept I was interested in, but I'm kinda past the phase where I want to spend 60k words on one idea. I also, obviously, love series of one-to-two-shots, hahaha.

32. What's a fic you'd love to write, but probably never will?

If I'd love to write it, then I will! If I'm not writing it, it's because I've lost interest. So I guess the truest answer to this is the two sequels I had planned to the Shinsou's Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Days series, because they were GREAT ideas and I still love Shinsou, but it's just been a damn long time since I've cared enough about My Hero Academia to put the writing effort in.

43. What keeps you motivated when working on a long project?

As you can see from the above answer, haha, I'm a very "write what I feel like right now" kind of person! So I don't really fight to keep myself motivated to work on fics, because fics are what I do to relax and have fun. If I'm struggling with motivation, then maybe I should do something else that is more fun!
