#Smosh schedule

I do feel like i should say that the shooting schedule makes sense in terms of what how shoots work when a lot of your team is freelance. Having shooting condensed and leaving bigger gaps between shoot weeks gives them more opportunity to work on other projects outside smosh.

I agree with it being really good for work flow!

Funnily enough I got this ask the day Smosh pit released a video (the spicy noodle mukbang) and Courtney talked about how the "shoot weeks" work. (time stamped link for the convo (17:59-22:33)

So as I understand, it's: 5 days, from 8am- "as late as" 7:30pm with lunch and setup.

So 11.5hr (max(?)) work days for 5 days in a row? is that right? I'm thinking it's probably usually 10hr or less shoot days, with at least 30mins for lunch.

Which this all sounds great for production! just blasting through the physical shooting so they can get right on to planning and editing. but for the cast? when Court asked the question Chanse says the shoot weeks can be EXHAUSTING. Anytime it's mentioned in other videos everybody unanimously agrees that shoot weeks can be really grueling, and WE can see it sometimes how tired/worn out the cast gets. They talk about it pretty frequently.

With that, there are a lot of freelancers there, so it makes sense to give them a lot of time away to do their things outside of Smosh.

I more so just want to put my thoughts on it out there. Just kind of voice my worries for the cast and the toll it can take on your mental state to have to be "on" for so long, and that if we don't see certain people this could be a reason why. *cough cough* Damien *cough*

(I wish we knew how many videos they try to film, do they try to film for the whole MONTH or what? I could see them doing 6 or so videos a day, so 30 for the month? this includes Smosh main + Smosh Mouth so the numbers are a little wonky)(WHICH WOULDNT HAPPEN IF I COULD SEE THE DAMN SCHEDULE)

Angela groans, leaning forward and balancing her forehead on the edge of her laptop screen. "I don't even have groceries right now, because I didn't have time to do a grocery run on Tuesday. I think the last time I looked in the fridge it was literally just condiments and a jar of martini olives." She pauses, and then, continuing to not look at Amanda, adds. "...And half a lemon."

"Half- why is it only half a lemon. What happened to- okay, you know what, not the important thing here. Babe, what the hell."

AKA: I said i was going to write a fic about the half lemon in Angela's fridge and i meant it.

It started from "i want this specific scene as a result of Angela kind of Going Thru It" and quickly turned into "how many acts of love and service can i feasibly cram into the before and after of this". Its VERY fluffy, consider it an exploration of "what can you do when your friend is overworking themselves to the point of being stretched very thin + a healthy dose of Amangela banter and love".

Its written in a way that I think is arguably platonic, but I mean, you all can decide that. enjoy!

also, a huge thank you to the other amangela fic/content writers on here- for directly or indirectly discussing, providing encouragement, motivation, etc, and also making their own stuff! Cool stuff makes more cool stuff.

my fave thing about the wenching hour reveal is how thrilled courtney looks, and how pleased amanda clearly is. Having a friend express something they want and then being able to carry it out and having that joy when they realize you not only listened and remembered but also carried it out!!!! and now they can enjoy it and you get to witness their enjoyment.... thats the good shit.

the smosh cast should get on dirty laundry like they're a group of professional comedians and improvisers who are friends making youtube videos together located in LA it would be perfect plus they have an overlap already like damien has been on um actually and ify and saige ryan have both appeared on smosh and dropout and patrick who appeared in the BEST dirty laundry episode either has worked or currently works at smosh i'm shocked it hasnt happened yet
