This day just proves that the prompts are merely suggestions to me becuase i had NO IDEA what to do for this day(i was iniatly going to do pokemon but idk) until i saw that people were doing human designs of inhuman character and i was itching to draw checkmates(kinger X queenie) so i found a confortable in between.

I want to try and change their designs in the future(especially kinger's, i really dont like it) so i might draw them again! Yay!

I do feel like i should say that the shooting schedule makes sense in terms of what how shoots work when a lot of your team is freelance. Having shooting condensed and leaving bigger gaps between shoot weeks gives them more opportunity to work on other projects outside smosh.

I agree with it being really good for work flow!

Funnily enough I got this ask the day Smosh pit released a video (the spicy noodle mukbang) and Courtney talked about how the "shoot weeks" work. (time stamped link for the convo (17:59-22:33)

So as I understand, it's: 5 days, from 8am- "as late as" 7:30pm with lunch and setup.

So 11.5hr (max(?)) work days for 5 days in a row? is that right? I'm thinking it's probably usually 10hr or less shoot days, with at least 30mins for lunch.

Which this all sounds great for production! just blasting through the physical shooting so they can get right on to planning and editing. but for the cast? when Court asked the question Chanse says the shoot weeks can be EXHAUSTING. Anytime it's mentioned in other videos everybody unanimously agrees that shoot weeks can be really grueling, and WE can see it sometimes how tired/worn out the cast gets. They talk about it pretty frequently.

With that, there are a lot of freelancers there, so it makes sense to give them a lot of time away to do their things outside of Smosh.

I more so just want to put my thoughts on it out there. Just kind of voice my worries for the cast and the toll it can take on your mental state to have to be "on" for so long, and that if we don't see certain people this could be a reason why. *cough cough* Damien *cough*

(I wish we knew how many videos they try to film, do they try to film for the whole MONTH or what? I could see them doing 6 or so videos a day, so 30 for the month? this includes Smosh main + Smosh Mouth so the numbers are a little wonky)(WHICH WOULDNT HAPPEN IF I COULD SEE THE DAMN SCHEDULE)

Stranger Things College AU HC 24

Everyone decorates Steve and Dustin’s place for Christmas the day after Halloween. Nancy and Max have some small decorations in their apartment and Chrissy and Robin have a tiny tree that lives in the corner of their living room, but Steve and Dustin’s is the best decorated.

They spend hours putting up a ridiculous amount of tinsel and garland and nutcracker statues. They have too many ornaments for the tree, but every year they get more ornaments. Eddie insists on putting mistletoe in as many places as he can and Nancy drags Robin under each and every one of them. Chrissy and Dustin make a gingerbread house together every year. Nancy and Chrissy both love Christmas shopping and will get new decorations every year, even though they're running out of space to put them all up.

Max and Steve are the best gift givers and Nancy and Dustin are the best gift wrappers. Robin has been prohibited from trying to wrap things.

Eddie has a playlist of everyone’s favorite Christmas songs that is constantly playing in the background. Randomly throughout the season he'll set up his amp and guitar and will play his own metal arrangements of his friends' favorite carols. 

Robin buys everyone matching Christmas shirts every year. At one point (many years in the future) they all decide for the entire month of December that they're going to wear nothing but the cheesy matching t shirts Robin has bought them over the years (she's not crying, her eyes are just sweating).

i think theres this idea in the general public that the "best" fanfic gets turned into real books like 50 shades of grey. but the truth is that the best fanfic can never be published as an actual book because its intricately woven into the canon material so its inseparable even if you change the names

we were sitting on the floor and i was cutting out tiny pictures to make a collage for a friend's birthday. you were on your phone and you laughed about something, and i was still in love with you then, so i asked what had you giggling.

"sorry. i was just..." you took a moment and went back to texting. "i was telling someone about how you're afraid of the dark."

i'm afraid of the dark because something bad happened. "oh." i felt a little slinky of shame crawl down my throat.

you glanced up, and maybe it showed on my face, because you rolled your eyes and held the phone to the side casually so i could see the group chat. "what? was it a secret?"

i looked down to the scissors in my hand. "i just..." no, it's not a secret. it just felt like something private, something serious. saying why would you tell someone that just feels like an accusation. it's unfair. i honestly am not even ashamed of it, it's just a fact about my person that i don't usually share.

what a strange experience. is this a human thing or a generational thing? for our grandparents: did they need to worry about how quickly someone can just... share your personal information? again, i didn't even really have a true objection. what could i say? i want any person in my life to feel they can be honest with their friends. it's not like i said don't tell anyone this.

i cut out another letter to complete the rainbow happy birthday, started hunting for the exclamation mark. i heard you sigh dramatically.

"don't make a big deal about this," you said.

this entire conversation was a pattern for us, and this was when we got to my least favorite part of the pattern. i would get my feelings hurt in some oblique not-technically-terrible way, and then it would be making a big deal about something. you'd get frustrated for me for being soft, but i was born soft. you knew i was soft when you pierced me. it's one of the things that made controlling me so easy.

"i'm not," i felt my voice crack. the question came without my wanting. "why are you guys talking about me?" and why are you saying that thing? why not like - i'm telling them how you're generous and kind and pretty.

you let out this low, tragic groan. "oh my god." you tossed the phone away from your body. "there, see? i just won't talk to them if you don't like it."

the rest of the hour went the way it always went, between us: i said i don't actually mind if you talk to your friends but -, you found a way to call my minor expression of discomfort "being dramatic." you got upset that i had been offended. i ended up apologizing, even though i hadn't actually done anything.

afterwards, you picked up the phone again. after texting for a little bit, you snorted. "okay," you said, "but it is kind of funny you're afraid of the dark. i mean, when you think about it."

Funniest bit of the dnd movie is Xenk clearly being an NPC the DM introduced for lore and plot purposes who’s a competent fighter because of course he is, his reputation and backstory require it. But whoopsies the DM made him too powerful, the whole party likes him, and now they want him to come with to fight the BBEG which will completely and utterly fuck up the encounter balance

So instead of there being any actual plot reason he can’t join Xenk just says “I can’t. This is something only you can do.” And then walks off, never to interact with the party again because the DM just knows those little shits will find a way to use their OP creation against them
