How do roses view using each other's wood as a cultural thing? On one hand I can imagine it being very pragmatic, relying on black wood for cutting tools and such. But also if the magic is an extension of the self then that might be weird.

And is it possible for multiple roses to collaboratively build things? Like can you have a pink and purple rose work together to make a sword with one color for stability in the body and another for just the cutting edge? Do they ever use that for construction?

OKAY now this is a really good question and I am so sad it requires more lore and explanations than I can give, but I'll do my best to answer with the knowledge I've already shared before!

Roses using each other's wood IS a thing! There's a whole "this is a symbol of my loyalty and devotion to you" deal where a Rose offers a weapon they created for someone else. Not like a marriage proposal, but a pretty big deal all the same and it's a WHOLE event when two Roses exchange weapons before battle. Yes, a Roses' magic wood is an extension of themself, but there is weird magic vibes where sharing weapons sometimes boosts everybody's powers. (I'll explain that another day) It's also possible for Roses to collaboratively make things together, buuuut that's typically a wild/country Rose thing. In wilder communities, there are less resources and smaller groups and it's more sensible to combine powers instead of relying on one expert to make strong weapons for you. (Roses living in cities have more Roses who can dedicate their lives to making weapons, or armor, or clothes, etc) So yeah, Bristly is used to combining his wood with other Roses, and he has..... lots of strong opinions on the way the City Roses use their magical wood. XD Roses make wooden tools for construction, but they won't use their magical wood for the literal buildings themselves. Usually. But making beads and cutlery and smaller personal things out of your wood is normal, and good practice to make sure your magic is still healthy

If you feel comfortable in your body for the first time, won’t that probably mean it’ll be the first time you feel comfortable, too, with delighting in your body as a sexual thing?”'
