The joys of tiny rolled hems, doing some hand sewing for my latest 18th century project. This is the smallest one I've ever made, focusing on slow sewing. . . . . . . #HistoricalGarments #Handsewing #SewingInspiration #SlowFashion #RolledHem #18thCenturyFashion #HistoricalCostuming #Linen #1700s #SewingProject https://www.instagram.com/p/CmyIx3JOAzh/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

blog post 3 | small moments
With the arrival of cooler days promising of autumn, knitting outside feels like a picturesque scene. Leaves serenely cascading down around my porch. It gives me hope.
The Olympic sweater slowly progresses, row by row, chart by chart. And I have run into the first challenges of this pattern, namely, some dreadful errors. Since this is a free pattern, it is no surprise that there are errors, such as missing charts, vague directions, typos causing confusion. Thankfully, the community of knitters who have already taken this journey have documented their corrections and left advice for the rest of us. I've been gathering all their notes and studying them so I can complete this mammoth of a sweater in a few months' time.
Despite these challenges, I am thankful for the small moments I enjoy while knitting. Sharing my progress, being outdoors, musing over a podcast; the joys of slow fashion and intentional living remind me that gratitude brings lasting happiness (:
I hope everyone else's project is progressing smoothly!

Just finished this seamless top-down pullover. I used a Noro yarn made with humanely raised wool from New Zealand and raw silk, all dye-free.

Today we are darning socks. I’m going to update this post with progress pics once I take them. This sock had a pretty large hole in the heel from wear and a puppy decided it was a chew toy as well. So I’m going to fix it. Because I’m not trying to buy socks right now because I’m poor 😂
Im using a handy dandy Speedweve loom to patch this hole. I absolutely love using this little guy to mend holes. I’ll link to it below for anyone that wants one.
I do have to mention that the rubber bands that came with the one I bought were trash. So get your own rubber bands. But the lion itself is a game changer.

Pansy Leatherwork Goes International!
Hi! If you don't know me, I'm Hank, the dyke behind Pansy Leatherwork. I'm an independent, transfem leatherworker, and I am now shipping my work internationally!
I now have shipping set up through my site for Canada, the UK, EU countries, non-EU Europe, and Australia/Oceania/NZ. If your country isn't listed but you're interested in getting something sent, shoot me an email.
Everything I do is on sliding scale cuz if it's not accessible to the freaks I'm actually in community with, it's not worth doing; I also have custom options for just about all of my designs.
As always, the amount of support and positivity y'all show me just blows my mind :)
