Yeah idk, just an important detail: this would be like the og series, but they're regular teens in the 90s. Dragons Rising would be around early to mid 2000s in this AU, so the ninja are teens

- the first time was because he stole something from Hot Topic, did community service and then was free. Never told anyone (besides Morro and of course his family) about the second time

- reads comics all the time while working

- favourite place to hang out is the skatepark, but also likes the arcade

- can skateboard, just doesn't do it as much anymore

- "how was it like?" first question he asked right after discovering it because he just doesn't know what to say

- spends too much of his free time in the arcades and sometimes brings Lloyd and Kai with him

- has dates at home with Nya, where they usually watch trashy horror movies and old dramas (sometimes anime)

- constantly visits Lloyd at his job just so he can read comic's while he works and for free

Cole

- works at a vynil store

- when they can't go to watch movies at Lloyd's house, Cole's house is the second best place for their Friday movie nights that turn into sleepovers

- is dating Geo, but doesn't tell his name to his friends just to mess with them, so they're always trying to guess "who the hell" he's dating

- openly bisexual (preference for guys)

- knows Lloyd was arrested because Jay told him

- also scolded him, being mostly glad Lloyd was okay

- has been playing the drums since he was a kid, because his dad wanted him to play the piano and drums aren't piano

- his favourite music genre, surprisingly, is bossa nova (followed by metal and punk)

- he's a painter and participates in art competitions, meeting my OC, Vanessa, in one of those. They are friends with a healthy and friendly artistic rivalry, encouraging each other to try new things with their art

- smokes pot (mostly at parties and also with Kai and Lloyd)

- trying to get into art school after high school

Zane

- 3rd year of highschool

- volunteers in a animal rescue center

- into a one year relationship with Pixal

- knows Lloyd was arrested because Lloyd told him

- his pet falcon is a rescue, since it damaged it's wing so hard that it barely functions well, making it impossible for it to survive in nature again. Zane then took it with him after his shift;

- he really just calls it Falcon, like Marie Antoinette naming her pug Pug

- since Pixal is some sort of "celebrity" she was his celebrity crush

- 15 year old Zane: "so... we're dating her?"

18 year old Zane: "yes, she fell in love with you at first sight!"

15 year old Zane: *Zane.exe has stopped working, please, restart*

- quite too much of a fan of noir movies and noir books

- (once on college in the 2000s he'd 100% collect the Blacksad comics, I mean, it's his two favourite things together, animals and noir!)

- likes to wear a slightly more vintage style, but at school wears regular clothing as he recognizes that vintage clothing is somewhat more fragile and needs to be taken care of, and school isn't the best place to wear those

- was in the robotics club in middle school and changed to computer science club in highschool

- wants to be a veterinarian

Morro

- second year of college

- nobody knows his major and gets comically interrupted every time he tries telling someone what he does

- got fired from his previous work as a bartender

- now works with Wu in his tea shop

- adopted by Wu, btw

- taught Lloyd how to play guitar (he can play bass and mostly plays it, but borrowed a guitar from a friend as a teen)

- knows about Lloyd's second time in jail and helps him to hide it from everyone else

- constantly exchanging insults with Lloyd, but in a rather playful way

- alcoholic, but trying to quit

- best student in his class, surprisingly

- likes pachinko games and other gambling games, but not addicted to it. Sometimes brings Lloyd with him to play a bit, and sometimes Lloyd brings his friends, making Morro look like a babysitter sometimes

- likes hanging out with Lloyd, but usually they hang out in the middle of the night

Harumi

- second year of highschool

- part time Hot Topic cashier

- 100% stole a bracelet or two WHILE WORKING THERE

- knows Lloyd hides from her in public

- hangs out with the other girls just fine, but constantly complains about whatever they're doing (secretly loves to be with them and refuses to admit it out loud)

- she has a bunch of journals under her bed and they all read very entertaining reads

- the reason why Lloyd was arrested the first time (was stealing from hot topic, asked him to help her, but unlike him, she managed to escape from security)

- had a super crush on Morro when she was 15

- actually likes Friends TV show

- thinks Chandler is a mood, but her favorite character would be Phoebe in the later seasons

- goth clubs are her second home

- can't stand cigarette's smell

Skylor

- third year of highschool

- works as a part time waitress at Chen's Noodle House

- constantly gives her friends discounts

- lab partners with Kai

- almost exploded the lab with him once

- they still laugh about it

- knows about Kai's love for Brittney Spears, but pretends she doesn't

- loves karaoke hangouts

- still has an anacondrai tattoo (slightly angsty fact)

- heiress to Chen's mafia

- considers Nya a little sister, so they're basically BFF's and hang out together the most among the girls

- likes thrifting, usually looks for anything 70s related

- usually goes to roller discos to skate or goes to the skatepark with headphones

- sometimes meets there with Nya so they can chat while skating

- that's also where she likes to celebrate her birthdays

- knows about Lloyd being arrested because Kai told her

- treats Lloyd like some sort of little brother so actually got worried when she heard about him getting arrested

- "if you ever need it, i know a lawyer who helps my dad's gang member to get out of jail" Skylor to Lloyd once she meets him after hearing about his arrest

Pixal

- part time job as her father's (aka Cyrus Borg) assistant

- goes to the same school as my OC's (see below) so she wears a school uniform

- there's a conspiracy theory going around that Pixal is actually a robot and she knows very well about these rumors

- likes to scare people making a very impressive impersonation of a robot just for the funsies

- was in love with Zane at first sight (they met at Skylor's birthday party)

- her idea of a "perfect date" with him is both watching noir movies and studying together

- once threw a noir themed Halloween (or day of the departed?) party because of him

- loves to go thrifting with Skylor, and knows where to find the best pieces

You know what fuck it take modern AU Adamai headcanons

1. Adamai works in retail do not ask why he just does.

2. He has clip on ear rings he got his ears pierced once and he regretted it because of the pain

3. He doesn’t like to express himself very much mostly keeping to himself and not talking about his problems.

4. He likes to read and I mean he LOVES reading, if you’re lucky you can catch him on break reading a comic book.

5. He knows how to skateboard (yugo does not and he laughs at this)

6. He mostly stays in his room only coming out for food or unless he wants to be outside for a bit. Other than that he doesn’t really leave his room.

7. He’s very smart about specific dragon cultures, every so often you can catch him in the library reading about dragon myths and possibly ancient food recipes.

8. Surprising he’s very quiet, sure at a young age he was bubbling with joy but now he’s more quiet and sometimes shy.

9. He doesn’t really like big gatherings it was never his thing. If he didn’t know anybody there then he would sit in a corner and mind his own business. (This man has horrible social anxiety)

10. His taste in fashion is decent most of the time he just wears baggy jeans and a shirt, he isn’t much for looking nice.

11. I like to see him as this huge nerd, for example if you ask him about a specific event involving ancient dragonic history. He will talk for hours explaining every detail and every bit of lore (look at my nerdy boy)

12. He doesn’t have many friends at work or at all for that matter, he just works although yes people have tried to talk to him in the past he rarely interacts with them.

13. He loves listening to drama, he loves to listen in on interesting conversations it’s like a hobby at this point.

14. Adamai isn’t much of a people person (as I have said multiple times in this post) and if your lucky enough he might talk to you about specific issues and topics, although he has this bad habit of dozing off during conversations. (Just like me fr)

15. He’s a heavy daydreamer, often times you can see him standing in the middle of nowhere dozing off we don’t know how he does this or how he gets himself in these situations but god is it funny.

16. He gets embarrassed easily when told he did a good job on something, Adamai rarely if ever gets compliments so telling him he’s the best guy in the world it makes him hide his face due to how red it gets.

17. He gets scared easily but not like “omg everything scares him!” More like if you come up behind him without him hearing you he will scream like a banshee.

18. He can run and I don’t mean “oh he’s just fast” HE’S PRETTY FUCKING FAST, if this man so much as sees a big ass spider he’s fuckin GONE

19. I like to believe Adamai has a huge sweet tooth. He loves to eat sweets whenever he gets the opportunity

20. He hates night shift and I mean HATES IT if he so much as hears one creek from the ceiling his ass is already out the door.

21. He has humor trust me it’s there, he isn’t one to make jokes but when he does none laughs sadly mostly because they don’t get it and Adamai has the humor of a broken down 1950’s truck. (Don’t worry Adamai I’ll laugh at your ridiculously stupid jokes)

22. He rarely sleeps (unlike qilby who’s sleep schedule is so bad that it could rival that of Xelor himself) but when he does he’s knocked out for Atleast 2 days. Adamai honey please take care of yourself I’m begging you.

23. He listens to music a lot it’s mostly to block out the annoying noise of people talking and baby’s crying for no reason

24. He can babysit (if you pay him enough) he hates it but he does it for people who need a break.

25. He gets bored easily, sometimes you can find him in the skatepark minding his own business.

KC Zine con was held at Goofballs Skatepark in the Waldo area of Kansas City. It was a really good show. I had a lot of interest in my work. One of the many highlights was a Kansas City Librarian taking a copy of The Field Guide to the Frogs of Jasper County for their brand new zine collection. Apparently Kansas City library patrons will be able to check out zines to take home and read which I think is pretty cool.

Going to zine/comic/small press shows is a real treat for me because it's the only way I get to see people in real life engage with my work. I had a number of people stand at my table, read comics cover to cover and laugh. It's an incredible feeling, it really makes up for the fact that most of them don't buy anything.

I gave away copies of The Dog Sandwich Portfolio for free and it was a big hit. "Free" is an incredibly popular price point and a great way to introduce new folks to my work.

I had several people ask if I sold stickers. I found this baffling at first because I'm so focused on the craft of making comics that making stickers never really occurred to me. This morning I ordered stickers of my cover version of "Au Lapin Agile" .

It's a two hour drive from Joplin to Kansas City and one of my favorite things to see are old grain silos that have trees growing in them.

big post of all my random rvb au ideas and some hcs, decided this was more reasonable than making like 20 different posts.

Hc the freelancers who die are like submarines that go missing, officially still out on patrol. Florida is the only freelancer that is officially gone from the program. A rumor starts that the freelancers suits are in some way connected to the us states so people think that when florida (state) blew up, so did Agent Florida's armour killing him in the process

 (I'm an ace Tucker believer) Y'know how Tucker gets charged child support for a bunch of kids post chorus? I don't think he has any kids outside of Junior. I think a bunch of people who got pregnant post temple of procreation were like shit idk the kids other parent. Uhhhh. Let's just say it was the rich famous planetary hero guy who claims to have slept with everyone. He probably doesn't even remember the people he's slept with. And then Tucker, asexual who has had sex one (1) time and realised he didnt like it very much, is stuck between revealing to the whole goddamn planet that he doesnt actually fuck, and paying a billion dollars of child support.

In an everyone lives no one dies type au I think Donut gets Maine, Locus, South, and Wash to come to his wine and cheese hour and he does their makeup and their nails.

Au where Sigma is just so fucking invested in getting Maine and Wash to date that he doesnt do anything evil. "Agent Maine, I think you will find this course I have signed you up for quite informative" Sigma this is a couples wine and pottery class "Oh look, is that Agent Washington over there? you should go say hi."

Au where Wash and Epsilon bond. It still fucks Wash up and shit, cause yknow. Epsilon issues. But Wash goes like "I am going to fucking kill the director he fucked you ai over so much" And Epsilon is so taken aback bc of Alphas view of Wash from an outside, heavily filtered perspective made him seem happy go lucky, innocent, and a bit naive.

Au where the freelancers find out that the director is Linas dad and behind her back they're all like "hey is she okay? why does he talk to her like that?" but then whenever she's around they just accuse her of nepotism. Gamma and Sigma team up to hack the leaderboard and change her name to nepotism baby.

I love South. I wish she existed more. I wish her and North and Theta could have gotten along. I wish Theta could suit jump like Omega and Alpha. I wish Theta could spend time with South. Like yeah South wouldn't like having to share an ai with her brother but like. He's their littlest brother.

Junior and Theta could autism bond. I think they'd both like comics. Also Junior teaches Theta basketball and Theta teaches Junior to skate. Skateboard kid plus scooter kid. I think Palomo would like to skateboard too. Wash and Palomo both helped teach Theta to skateboard. Wash bc he's friends w North, Palomo bc he's at the skatepark frequently. Jensen roller skates, she's... okay at it. not good. but okay. She broke her tailbone trying to impress Palomo. Andersmith would work at a youth center that the teens hang out at. Matthews works at a movie theatre, Bitters watches a movie there every week, maybe just to see Matthews.

Sarge werebear. Simmons vampire. Grif faun. Donut Light Elemental. Lopez is a ghost that got stuck in a shitty robot Sarge built. Church and the ai are ghosts, Tex is a vampire, Caboose is a werewolf (big doggy :3). Siren Tucker. Deep sea mermaid Junior (glowing octopus type stuff). Faun Kai (same as Grif). Carolina’s a Phoenix. Wash some kind of big cat thing. Florida Shapeshifter (he prefers being reptiles). The twins are demons. 479er is a harpy. York poltergeist (throws stuff at people). Wyoming's some kind of “answer my riddles three” type of imp. Ct is also a shapeshifter. Maine’s just a regular guy with a lot of weird friends. Felix and Locus are a fire elemental and a dryad respectively. Siris is a water elemental. In my au Donut’s a light elemental which makes it so fucking funny if Church pops up and says "boo" Donut just fucking decks him. and through Church being a ghost (a form of light) and Donut being a light elemental, Donut’s fist connects. South is the demon people are more likely to fear, but North is the one you really need to look out for. When South loses her temper people get frightened, when North loses his temper people die. If there's like. a group of kids exploring or something North’ll hold South back from doing anything more than scaring them. If there's a priest attempting an exorcism or someone with a cross threatening South, their organs will be found separately from their bodies. 

It's kinda funny when people make Church and Lina siblings and then Tex is just some random girl that Church likes. Like I fully understand why and the only other alternative i can think of is like. Church is the director's younger brother who was raised alongside his daughter after their parents died. and Tex is Allison's younger sister. Only way I could put together Church kinda being the director and Tex kinda being Allison but also Church and Lina being siblings without there being any relation between Tex and Church.

Florida and Ct have a coworker friends relationship i think. When they first met I think Florida said something vague and threatening to her so she pulled a knife on him. They've been sort of friends ever since.

Headcanons for Les Jacobs in Wallflower AU?

His full name is Lester Jacobs but he hates it and thinks Les is cooler.

Because he’s a lot younger than most of the group (he’s around 11 in this AU) he doesn’t tend to hang out with them a lot, unless its a group hang out and people bring their ‘kids’ *

He also doesn’t have any social medias or a proper phone because the Jacobs’ parents are quite strict on Internet access. He has a tablet that he plays Roblox and such on though. (I promise he isn’t an IPad kid as much as the others joke about it)

One of his favourite past times is trying to embarrass Sarah and Davey any chance he gets. If they’re with friends he’ll barge in and loudly proclaim something embarrassing about them. If they’re in a call be appears and shouts something into the mic. The others genuinely find him really funny.

He REALLY looks up to Jack. He is his idol. So he tries to talk to and hang out with him l the time him all the time, and Jack’s really sweet about it- he’ll take time to play Roblox with him.

Les also likes to play Roblox with some of the others siblings (Non-Canon characters I made up for the AU, such as Bumlets’ younger sister Alena, or Buttons younger siblings Ethan and Anna)

He tries to get Tumble-Boy to play but the kids seven and his older brother, Skittery is parnaoid Les will traumatise him with the game Doors. (It’s his favourite Roblox game). Skittery’s fear definitely isn’t from the fact Snoddy made him play Doors when it came out and he got jumpscared.

He really loves animals, his favourite animals are giraffes. He thinks they’re really cool and can and will infodump about them. He also loves superheroes and his favourite character is Red Hood/Jason Todd from the Batman comics. He collects DC figurines.

Bumlets taught him to skateboard and he’s been a MENACE since. Specs lives right next to a skatepark so sometimes Les, Davey and Sarah will go there to hang out and so Les can practice.

Racer taught him to swear and barely escaped with his life. Davey was really mad about it but now he can’t prevent it because at any minor inconvenience Les will yell “Shit”.

* : The ‘Kids’ bit is something that originated from my friend and I’s RP.

Skittery and Tumble-Boy are brothers in the AU and the others often refer to Tumble as Skittery’s ‘kid’ or ‘son’

Similarly, Hot-Shot from Brooklyn legally adopted Ten-Pin (6) when he turned 18 for lore reasons I’m not going to get into right now, but Ten is LEGALLY Hot-Shot’s child.

The group refer to Tumble, Ten and Les as ‘the kids’.

Theres also ‘The Miners’ and Price and HIS kids but I could make a whole separate post on that.

“Having A Blast” - Bee Gees fanfic Part 1

}Skate Adventure{

A/U: Hey, that's a 2000's Bee Gees AU i created with @temporary-secondary and i have to say it was A LOT OF FUN!? The Bee Gees being teenagers during the early 2000s is something I could daydream for ages about. The title is a Green Day song that has the vibes of the story i attempted to write and is the song Maurice is listening to in the first few lines. Stay tuned for part 2! There will be three parts.

Maurice was lying on bed with a couple of textbooks and notebooks around him. His favorite Green Day album was playing in the background. Maurice had only just gotten it a week ago – had exchanged one of his favorite toys to get it. For the next few days it was the only cd he would listen to on repeat to the point that even Robin was bumping his head along with the music. At the moment Maurice was finishing with math homework while Robin was working on his literature assignment. He felt lucky his twin possessed some outstanding writing skills. Rob could copy Maurice’s handwriting and had in mind not to get carried away and make the essay suspiciously good. So far they had gotten caught only once, but managed to get away with it.

“Finished!” Mo cheered and rushed to close all of his books. “Robin, how’s the essay going? It’s nearly seven o’ clock, hurry!”

“I am, I am!” his brother whined from the other side of the room and continued writing.

Mo sighed in anticipation. Almost every evening the brothers Gibb go to the local skatepark just 15 minutes away from their house. And today was no exception. The californian clear blue sky was so inviting. Maurice put on his colorful oversized shirt and his favorite pair of light blue jeans while waiting for Robin to get done with the assignment. He picked up his guitar and attempted to play along with the song that was currently playing.

“Done!” Robin exclaimed a few minutes later.

Maurice lifted his head and smiled. “Did your magic again, huh?” he teased.

Robin laughed while trying to find his roller blades in the messy room they shared.

“Don’t forget you owe me ice cream for every assignment I do for you!” he reminded playfully.

“Oh, come on, I’ve spent all of my pocket money to get you candies!”

“But I’m the reason why you haven’t failed literature and english yet.”

“Alright, fine! Let’s get Barry and go.”

Opening the door of Barry’s room had always been quite impossible because of all the things Barry usually throws on the floor; dirty clothes, school bags, guitar cases.. Robin stepped forwards and struggled with the doorknob. When the door finally slightly opened, Robin squeezed himself to get through. He found Barry reading some brand new manga with his feet on the biology notes he was supposed to be studying.

“Will you lend me that once you finish it?” Robin pleaded pointing at the comic.

“No.” Barry replied while turning the page. “I think you remember very well the reason why I don’t let you lay a finger on my collection.”

Robin sighed and decided not to say another word about it. “Anyway, we’re going to the park. You comin?”

“Now that’s what I want to hear!” he said and his whole face lit up. “I’ll be downstairs in a minute, don’t go without me!”

It eventually took longer than eight minutes for Barry to style his hair and get ready. The twins were impatiently waiting for him in the front door.

“Don’t be late, boys! And be careful!” Barbara reminded from the living room.

“We will mum!” Barry groaned, gave her a quick kiss on the chic and rushed outside.
