a final piece to tachibana / link to previous
Haitani Rindou, Me and My Husband
Haitani Rindou is 28, an ex-felon, and he has no idea what the other guys his age do, other than stare at a wall and wank all day like the idiot from his cell does. He's tried so hard fantasising, and yet he still can't imagine a life of actually having consistent daily, weekly routines. When he's out and he witnesses the rush of modern day Tokyo where everyone's constantly in a hurry to get to somewhere, he can't help but question just where in the world are they going, and what in the hell are they rushing to do. Work? Are they that devoted to their job? Meeting a friend? Are they really that important?
He's spent the last 8 years of his life stirring soup and boiling rice in a kitchen that earns him about ¥500 per month, sweep fallen leaves during autumn while witnessing fights break out between inmates at the yard, and work out in the mini gym of a prison.
Now that he's out and he's staying with you at your place out of your own wallet where you've also bought him a phone with a functioning sim card, some warmer clothes to wear and laze around in, and pay for all the things in the house despite him having a job as well that pays more than what he's used to earn, he feels awfully bad. He stares at the digits in his bank account as he rubs at his nape.
For the first time in his life, Haitani Rindou has no clue what to do with himself.
You work a nice paying job in corporate 一 a result of your endless hard work, a desperate yet successful attempt to break free from your past 一 and at night he refills the vending machines that you and your co-workers empty during the day.
He's aware that the current gap between the two of you is big 一 it's extreme. He hates that he isn't able to provide more for the two of you at home other than doing simple laundry or sweeping the floor while you're away at work. He knows how to cook a little (simple recipes that the inmates eat daily, but he knows you won't like the food, because you weren't an inmate), but not full-on meals that you usually make and leave in the warmer for him when he finally gets home to eat.
He thinks about who he was before his time in prison and he doesn't recognise that boy anymore. An extremely outgoing party boy who rebels, fights and drifts when the sun is down, and an ex-felon who works about 4 hours per night refilling vending machines that people like his past-self vandalise and abuse just for the fun of it 一 those are 2 different people living 2 different lives, from 2 different universes.
Tonight, when the moon is up and he's got you in his arms 一 all warm and tucked in while you snore in his ear 一 he thinks about just what can he do for you to make you happier. He's aware he won't be able to provide much financially 一 not right now at least, and he's not a great communicator as well. He isn't confident he can always get his point across without having it sound like he means an entirely different thing. He has spent more time away from you than with you, after all.
And he hates to say it because he thinks he's in no position to do so, but the two of you are a bit complicated. You're childhood sweethearts who come from the same hometown and grew up together, he's the one who committed a crime, got sent in, and you were left yearning for him on the outside. He's the one who's made love to you before, and it is also his fault that the two of you are like this right now. You're kissy and touchy, he sleeps shirtless and you sleep in just panties, but you don't have a label to your relationship. He doesn't see you as a friend 一 he sees you as his world, but if he were to introduce you to another person, does he call you his friend?
He doesn't know how to make it better, but you always seem to make it feel like everything's alright when you'd knock on the bathroom door and offer to help him shave or give his hair a trim. He thinks the two of you are doing fine, but then his mind shifts to the therapist note you'd obviously accidentally left sitting on the dining table one morning and his heart aches.
You haven't been doing well lately. Recently. Frequently. For many, many years, you haven't been okay. He wonders if you have always smiled this often around other people 一 when he was still in prison, or before you were able to see each other again after years of lost contact 一 because you're always grinning ear to ear when you'd cling onto him in bed or straddle him on the couch while plucking his eyebrows as he hisses in pain.
But when you shift a little in bed and snuggle your nose deeper into his neck and sigh, the tightening in his chest softens a little. Your alarm's going to ring in about 5 minutes and he switches it off before it can. He spends the rest of your time rubbing your back, waking you up gently as he gives you some time to adjust to opening your eyes. He hates that you always seem to jolt awake when the alarm rings, as if it scares you a lot. It's almost the same reaction he's seen in you when you were younger and would hide against a raised fist. He doesn't want you to feel like that anymore. He went away for this exact reason and all he wants to do is to hide you away from fear.
And as you stare up at him, eyes half-lidded and cloudy, it's as if the colour of your irises are hypnotising him with words 一 whispering it in his ear as they ask, "do you still not see it?"
He does. He sees it now.
All the doubts and worries in his head swiftly vanishes and it all makes sense now 一 why you still choose to be with him despite everything that's happened to your lives, why you still seem to care so much for him.
The love in your eyes evident, as you smile softly while the sun slowly rises above the horizon, and he settles.
You love him just as much as he loves you.
All you've ever needed was him. Just him. Your Rindou.
He's got nothing else to worry about now 一 he's got the world in his arms. Even if it'll take him years to adjust to his new life, he'll be doing it with you.
Perhaps today he'll take the time to bake you your all-time favourite chocolate chip muffins 一 he'll run to the store to get the ingredients and maybe pass by the jeweller, browsing.
He wonders if the numbers in his bank account would be enough to buy him a ring, but he'll have to get the size of your finger first, right?
tachibana's tldr (TW!): you and rin were childhood friends, you were abused growing up, rindou killed your abuser and went to jail for it but you never found out until ran told you so you think he's been mia all this while when he's actually in jail
tachibana is officially discontinued, but i didn't want to leave it hanging because i cherish the story a lot (it just wasn't well-planned), so here's a final piece to wrap up the story 🤍

Sims In Bloom: Generation 2 Pt. 82 (Adorable Lavender)
Lavender had her father's blue eyes and mother's hair. A wiggly infant who loved wake up time, she was a delightful, happy baby who could even tolerate tummy time longer than most.
Her excitable nature did often leave her with hiccups, but this didn't impact her digestion like her pediatrician feared it might. Even her tired cries made her parents' hearts swell. Heather and Conrad settled into a daily routine: sending Ash to school before they left for work, delivering Lavender to daycare on the way. At night, they helped Ash with his homework, spent time with the kids, and cared for their pets.
Conrad's workload at the precinct was heavy. His search for Ximena's brother did his schedule no favours, but Conrad was careful and meticulous with his cases. With young kids at home, none of his fellow detectives suspected he had any free time - let alone that he was using it to search for Rafa under the table.
More than anything, Conrad hoped it wasn't too late to get through to him. If San Myshuno PD found him first, Rafa would be sent to prison. Conrad had been the closest thing to a father-figure he'd ever had, and he couldn't help but feel, when he left Ximena, he'd left Rafa, too.
"Gord hovers so much more now that Lavender's here," Heather mused. "He doesn't even get excited about leaving for work with you in the mornings anymore."
Conrad knew why Gord didn't want to leave Heather and the kids, but he still couldn't find the right way to tell her the truth.
"Gord decides who he wants to serve and protect," he said instead, giving in to the Bernese's desire to stay home. "I can't make him chase down suspects at the station if he'd rather be here."
The longer it took to come clean, the harder it seemed to bring it up. He was grateful Ximena had stopped calling him, at least.
Ash was improving his grades and always breezed through his homework. Nancy had promised simoleons for every A grade on his report card, and the young genius was happy to work his wealthy grandmother for the extra spending money. Heather tried to object, but she couldn't stop Nancy from spoiling him.
Art was his favourite subject at this stage, and he spent hours drawing. Nancy wanted to sign him up for art classes with prestigious painters in the city, but he was happy enough with crayons at his craft table, and not quite interested in easels and paints just yet.
He was still a little unsure about his little sister, who was only moderately more interesting to him as an infant. "Lavender still doesn't do much, mommy. When will she be able to go out and play in the snow with me?"
"Not for a while yet," Heather explained. "But you were this small once, and you grew. She might even be able to hit her milestones faster if you play with her. Show her how to be a big kid like you."
Excited at the prospect, Ash was sweet with his baby sister. Lavender watched him wide-eyed and giggled at his stories about aliens and zombies and superhero princesses. But she, like her brother, liked best the one about the giving tree.
They were happy and Heather, like his coworkers, was none the wiser to Conrad's search for wanted man Rafa Bonilla. ->

Tips on how to stop being addicted to phone/social media/internet and actually being productive?
💌 Find your why: Why do you want to be less on your phone? And what are you trying to be productive with. That why
💌 Start with a detox and gradually re-enter: Delete all social media app’s, and make your phone the most boring thing for you. I suggest 15-30 days. I’d say to allow yourself a few app access such as Music, YouTube (but limit to 2-3 videos a day) and pick one Tv show to finish, one episode a day. Once you come back, gradually allow one app at the time with 30min-1 hour use daily.
💌 Do the hardest parts first: If you’re writing something, creating something or whatever your productivity is towards — do that first thing. I personally will get ready for work and do my whole routine and just spend 1-2 hours writing in the morning. Gives me a boost for the rest of the day and then it’s done (and you can always pick back up later that day)
💌 Motivation is key, surround yourself with it: Straight forward, once you’d detox is over or with the limited times on your phone - listen/watch (podcast), read and overall consume the content of people who are being productive. Have friends join or find a community trying to do the same. It’ll help you stay motivated.
💌 When you feel the urge, have something else to reach for; When you know you should be productive, but don’t want to — have 3-4 options for what to do to procrastinate healthily. My top 4 are Cleaning, read, take a walk or video game(s) usually it’s Sims or Animal Crossing/Mario Cart. Usually can only play for 2-3 hours max.
💌 Set aside an actual realistic time for yourself to be productive: This could be 4 hours a day, divided in two for two specific tasks. Or more/less depending on what you wish to focus on. You’re human and our phones are fun, so unless something needs to be done there’s no need imo to banish it. As long as you’ve done what needs to be done, you can scroll ahead (with or without limitations)
Suggestion on what to search for more inspiration: Discipline, Breaking habits, productivity, motivation, actively living life & any people who you look up to’s routines. I love watching people’s writing routines during downtime for inspiration and motivation.

RAPS + CRAFTS #16: Curly Castro
1. Introduce yourself. Past projects? Current projects?
My name is Curly Castro. I am an MC. I release solo work and I’m also one half of ShrapKnel. Solo works: Fidel, Tosh, Little Robert Hutton. ShrapKnel works: ShrapKnel, Metal Lung, and an assortment of EPs.
2. Where do you write? Do you have a routine time you write? Do you discipline yourself, or just let the words come when they will? Do you typically write on a daily basis?
I write wherever I’m at, at the moment something hits me. I can either let the words come to me, or I might see something that sparks a Blade, or Hear something that sparks a thought, that brings forth a Blade.
3. What’s your medium—pen and paper, laptop, on your phone? Or do you compose a verse in your head and keep it there until it’s time to record?
I mostly write on my phone, but used to write in a comp book/Moleskine. But I write a lot in my phone, mainly because of the editing and saving I can do with any Blade I’m working on.
4. Do you write in bars, or is it more disorganized than that?
I write in Bars. Usually 16 a clip, unless otherwise needed, or I’m just spazzing.
5. How long into writing a verse or a song do you know it’s not working out the way you had in mind? Do you trash the material forever, or do you keep the discarded material to be reworked later?
It depends. You can get thru a verse and once it’s completed realize it’s trash. But I’m pretty harsh with myself. So after ¾ bars, if it’s not hitting, I’ll kill the whole thing. If I can salvage a bar or two from a Blade, I might reuse it, or put it in a hook.
6. Have you engaged with any other type of writing, whether presently or in the past? Fiction? Poetry? Playwriting? If so, how has that mode influenced your songwriting?
I used to do Spoken Word pieces, and participate in Slams (poetic competitions) and those are written with a moor dramatic bent to them. No bar count and the cadence is pretty different (no Beat). I also wrote a few plays in my professional life. Coming up in the competitive/battling/Slam-poetry world definitely influenced my output. It helped serrate my Blades further.
7. How much editing do you do after initially writing a verse/song? Do you labor over verses, working on them over a long period of time, or do you start and finish a piece in a quick burst?
I usually write downhill. And can be pretty unforgiving when it comes to editing. But I won’t labor over a verse for long periods of time. Songs? They are another discipline altogether. I have wrote verses on songs months apart from each other on occasion.
8. Do you write to a beat, or do you adjust and tweak lyrics to fit a beat?
I can do both. But my preference is to write to the beat. You can pull off moor symbiotic a flow that way.
9. What dictates the direction of your lyrics? Are you led by an idea or topic you have in mind beforehand? Is it stream-of-consciousness? Is what you come up with determined by the constraint of the rhymes?
The catalyst could be any of those options. No constraint other than it being iLL to the Fullest.
10. Do you like to experiment with different forms and rhyme schemes, or do you keep your bars free and flexible?
I will try out many flows at least one good time. But if I’m not adept at it, you won’t find me Phucking around too much. I carefully pick my (flow) battles.
11. What’s a verse you’re particularly proud of, one where you met the vision for what you desire to do with your lyrics?
My verse on “Cold Burn,” off the ShrapKnel LP Metal Lung. Or “Owens” off of my solo LP Little Robert Hutton. Both of those verses perfectly captured the mood I wanted, which is a difficult thing to do. When I achieve that with a Blade, I feel like my skills are almost where I want them to be (still far to go tho).
12. Can you pick a favorite bar of yours and describe the genesis of it?
“Sim Simma, who got the Keys to Oblivion? / Bruce tried to warn Us, with about a Dozen Simians.” [“Running Rebel Swordplay” off Metal Lung by ShrapKnel]
Just trying to match the madness I Know Prem was going to come with for his sections of the song. I had to match that Fury. So I dig that Blade for the sheer references I was able to stuff in there, and I hope everyone caught ’em.
13. Do you feel strongly one way or another about punch-ins? Will you whittle a bar down in order to account for breath control, or are you comfortable punching-in so you don’t have to sacrifice any words?
I used to be a stickler about that. But to expand my creativity, I have allowed myself to use a punch-in here and there when necessary. But I still like to be able to one-take a Blade in the studio, and replicate that same energy on stage.
14. What non-hiphop material do you turn to for inspiration? What non-music has influenced your work recently?
I listen to Reggae & Jazz pretty heavy. Reggae for cadence ideas, Jazz for chaos ideas.
15. Writers are often saddled with self-doubt. Do you struggle to like your own shit, or does it all sound dope to you?
Of course I do. I think I make some HORRIBLE hooks. And I’m hard to convince that my rap voice is decent. But I cut myself some slack most of the time. Lol. BUT I know when I make something undeniably DOPE. For that is Always the Goal.
16. Who’s a rapper you listen to with such a distinguishable style that you need to resist the urge to imitate them?
I never have really imitated. I’ve always appreciated. And paid homage when it’s called for. But I’m not naturally a Shark Biter.
17. Do you have an agenda as an artist? Are there overarching concerns you want to communicate to the listener?
I might have a Theory or a mindset I want to get across. But I’m just the creator. I have to let my creations go, out into this mad wilderness, to fend for themselves. My Poems wrestle cops into alleys, taking their weapons - word to Amiri Baraka.
RAPS + CRAFTS is a series of questions posed to rappers about their craft and process. It is designed to give respect and credit to their engagement with the art of songwriting. The format is inspired, in part, by Rob McLennan’s 12 or 20 interview series.

Delgato (2) Family Rotation 3:
Cecilia Delgato has been running this farm for awhile now, and has mastered her daily routine. She wakes up in the morning to tend to her crops, milk her cow, care for the chickens, and make sure there’s food to eat afterwards. She tends to wake up earlier than everyone else, and she certainly is productive! Pierce Delgato works as a freelance crafter, making some extra simoleons through juice fizzing and fabricating. The farm helps him get ingredients for juice fizzing, which has been making him a lot more money than fabricating!

I decided to go back to college this year and although I love the new environment, teachers and classmates, it has taken so much time out of my routine that I had to uninstall some of my favourite dating sims because I couldn't spare 10 minutes a day to do their dailies and I felt guilty for not seeing my boys.
I also haven't had that much time or motivation to draw, I've been working on a piece that should have taken me like 5-6 hours for like 2 months.

Game With Best AI: Unlocking Creativity with AI Idea Generators and Brainstorming Games
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has revolutionized many industries, and the world of gaming is no exception. From creating complex, lifelike characters to enhancing player experiences, AI has been a game-changer. But how does AI contribute to the creativity behind game development? In this blog, we'll explore games with the best AI, delve into how AI idea generators work, and discuss the benefits of brainstorming games for developers and players alike.
Games With Best AI: Redefining the Player Experience When we talk about games with the best AI, we're referring to titles where AI isn't just a backdrop but an integral part of the gameplay. The best AI in games is not about predictable moves; it's about creating dynamic, challenging, and sometimes unpredictable interactions that keep players engaged.
One notable example is "The Last of Us Part II". This game showcases advanced AI through its enemy behavior. Enemies communicate, strategize, and adapt to the player's tactics in real-time, making every encounter unique and challenging. Another great example is "Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor", which introduced the Nemesis System. This AI-driven system allows enemies to remember past interactions with the player, evolving and responding differently in future encounters, which makes the gameplay feel personal and engaging.
AI has also been used to create realistic non-playable characters (NPCs) that react to player actions in a believable way. "Red Dead Redemption 2" is a standout in this regard, where every NPC has a daily routine, reacts to the player’s actions, and even remembers past interactions. Such games showcase how AI can elevate gaming experiences by making worlds feel alive and responsive.
AI Idea Generators: A New Tool for Game Development Creating a game is a complex process that requires a lot of creativity and brainstorming. This is where AI idea generators come into play. An AI idea generator uses algorithms to create new concepts, themes, and even full game ideas, helping developers overcome creative blocks and explore new possibilities. These tools can generate everything from character names and storylines to entire game mechanics, acting as a virtual brainstorming partner.
For example, AI idea generators can analyze popular gaming trends, player preferences, and other data to suggest ideas that are more likely to succeed. This approach not only saves time but also opens up avenues for innovation by presenting unexpected combinations that a human might not consider. These tools are particularly useful for indie developers or small teams that may lack the resources to conduct extensive brainstorming sessions.
Using an AI idea generator can be as simple as inputting a few keywords related to your game's theme or genre. The AI then processes this input, cross-references it with a vast database of existing ideas and trends, and outputs a list of suggestions that can kickstart the creative process. By incorporating AI into the ideation phase, developers can enhance their creativity, ensuring they are always a step ahead in the competitive world of game development.
The Power of Brainstorming Games: Enhancing Creativity and Collaboration Brainstorming games are not just for developers; they can also be a fun way for players to engage their creativity. These games often involve solving puzzles, crafting stories, or designing solutions under certain constraints, making them ideal for flexing one's creative muscles. For game developers, brainstorming games can be a valuable tool for team-building and idea generation, allowing team members to collaborate in a low-pressure, fun environment.
Games like "Minecraft" or "The Sims" encourage players to think creatively and explore endless possibilities within the game world. For developers, these brainstorming games can also be used as inspiration for creating new mechanics or exploring different ways to engage players.

The Magnus Archives appreciation post.
[SPOILER WARNING for those who are new to The Magnus Archives]
So I'm a very late listener to The Magnus Archives (Currently on episode 50 / Season 2 Episode 10), I had heard about it through that Tiktok trend a while ago of the Russian Doll talking to I assume Johnathan Sims, but I hadn't actually listened to it till the start of this year and I just have to say...OH. MY. GOD.
WHY did I not find this SOONER? This is so so so GOOD!
It's become apart of my nightly (and sometimes daily at the gym) routine, every night before bed I try to listen to at least 2 episodes, sometimes more, it makes me feel like a victorian style time traveler librarian listening to some fuckin tapes I found in some weird catacombs or something, it's so good.
I'm loving the mystery too, as well as all the callbacks to earlier episodes, I don't have a super elaborate cork board with red string or anything, but I am trying to untangle things in my head, it's been fun, but hard to put together lol
What the fuck IS Micheal Crew and what's he talking about?
Is Gerard Keay still around? What's his whole deal?
Is the old man from Taken Ill Trevor? I imagine it is, but the statement is given 5 months after Trevor supposedly died?
What is with the zippo lighter John was given?
Will John ever find out Not Sasha really isn't Sasha?
GAAAAH I'm just so excited to find out, just wanted to share my love for this really great show, I've been exposed to some spoilers, I know there's been more archaists than Gertrude and John (That's another question, what HAPPENED to Gertrude? Did someone in the Institute kill her? Or someone else? Maybe any of the mysterious figures mentioned?), I know there are groups of entities like the "NotThem", but I know really nothing else, so please don't spoil anything!
Thanks for reading, statement ends ;)

Your Guide to Dentures: Types, Maintenance, and Alternatives
Dentures have been a reliable solution for missing teeth for centuries, providing individuals with the ability to restore their smiles and regain normal oral function. Whether you're considering dentures for yourself or a loved one, it's essential to understand the various types, proper maintenance, and alternative options available. In this comprehensive guide, we will explore everything you need to know about dentures.
Types of Dentures
1. Complete Dentures
Complete dentures are used when all natural teeth in either the upper or lower jaw are missing. They are custom-made to fit the unique contours of your mouth, providing both aesthetic and functional benefits. Conventional complete dentures are placed after the remaining teeth are removed, allowing the gums to heal before the dentures are fitted. Immediate complete dentures, on the other hand, are inserted immediately after tooth extraction, eliminating the waiting period for healing.
2. Partial Dentures
Partial dentures are recommended when some natural teeth remain in the upper or lower jaw. They consist of replacement teeth attached to a pink or gum-colored base, which is connected by a metal framework. Partial dentures are designed to fill gaps between existing teeth, preventing shifting and maintaining proper alignment.
3. Overdentures
Overdentures are a removable option that fits over a small number of remaining natural teeth or dental implants. This type of denture provides added stability and support, reducing the risk of slipping or shifting during daily activities. Overdentures are known for their comfort and improved chewing ability compared to conventional dentures.
4. Implant-Supported Dentures
Implant-supported dentures are anchored to dental implants surgically placed in the jawbone. This option offers enhanced stability and prevents bone loss, as the implants stimulate the jawbone, similar to natural tooth roots. Implant-supported dentures are an excellent choice for those seeking a more permanent and secure solution.
Maintenance Tips for Dentures
1. Daily Cleaning Routine
Just like natural teeth, dentures require daily cleaning to prevent plaque buildup, stains, and odors. Use a soft-bristled brush or a denture brush to clean all surfaces of the dentures, including the gums. Avoid using regular toothpaste, as it can be abrasive and damage the denture material. Instead, use a mild dishwashing soap or denture cleaning solution.
2. Soaking Dentures Overnight
To maintain the shape and prevent dryness, it's essential to soak your dentures overnight in a denture-cleaning solution or warm water. This helps to remove bacteria and stains, ensuring your dentures stay fresh and comfortable.
3. Handle with Care
When cleaning or handling your dentures, do so over a folded towel or a basin of water to prevent damage if they accidentally drop. Dentures are delicate and can break easily, so handle them with care to extend their lifespan.
4. Regular Dental Check-ups
Schedule regular check-ups with your dentist to ensure your dentures fit properly and are in good condition. Your dentist will also examine your oral health and address any issues that may arise, such as changes in the fit of your dentures or signs of gum disease.
Alternatives to Dentures
1. Dental Implants
Dental implants are a popular alternative to dentures, providing a permanent and natural-looking solution for missing teeth. Implants are surgically placed in the jawbone, serving as artificial tooth roots to support crowns, bridges, or dentures. They offer stability, durability, and prevent bone loss over time.
2. Dental Bridges
Dental bridges are fixed prosthetic devices that replace one or more missing teeth. They consist of artificial teeth (pontics) anchored to adjacent natural teeth or dental implants. Dental bridges are known for their stability and aesthetic appeal, bridging the gap caused by missing teeth.
3. Removable Partial Dentures
Similar to traditional partial dentures, removable partial dentures are a cost-effective alternative for replacing missing teeth. They are custom-made to fit your mouth and are secured with clasps that attach to your natural teeth. While they are removable, they provide stability and help maintain proper alignment of remaining teeth.
4. Denture Implants
Also known as mini-implants or overdenture implants, denture implants involve placing small implants in the jawbone to anchor and stabilize removable dentures. This option provides additional support and prevents the movement of dentures during speaking or eating.
Conclusion
Dentures remain a valuable and accessible solution for individuals facing the challenges of missing teeth. Understanding the various types of dentures, proper maintenance practices, and alternative options empowers you to make informed decisions about your oral health. Whether you opt for conventional dentures, implant-supported solutions, or alternatives like dental implants or bridges, consulting with your dentist will ensure you receive personalized care that meets your unique needs and preferences.
