WWX has a bag of edible green orbs and I am in hell.#First draft of this comic's script has JC saying 'dude you wouldn't even share with me!' and I love his little sibling indignation.#Middle child power is knowing that you don't have to share with your siblings. The little wet eyes and weak hand slaps do NOTHING.#JC probably already ate all of his lotus seeds. That's on you dude!#Part of me wants to get deeper with the metaphor of the lotus seeds here. It is a gesture of a certain kind of affection.#JYL gives something to WWX she does not quite share with JC. And WWX in turn gives something to LWJ he does not share with JC.#Really puts JC's line 'You're always eating...eating eating' into a very different light.#There are other kinds of starving besides hunger. There are other ways to be a glutton than just food and drink.#WWX's character pre-burial mounds is heavily focused on 'Indulgence'. Be it wine or flirting or hunting or eating-#-or receiving admiration; He is always indulging in ways we never see JC do.#I think the intentional contrast was with the Lan's 'Live simple and without indulgence' lifestyle. LWJ is the abstainer to wwx's gluttony.#But it does expand to JC as well! Both are locked into the role model position to have friction against WWX's apparent freedom.#I think LWJ and JC (at this point) see WWX as something they both want (in different capacities) and someone they want to be.#Yet despite the history between them it is not JC who WWX reaches out to. It's LWJ.#The boy already has an inferiority complex! Stop making it accidently worse!

Yes, that scene did foreshadow Mike's monologue was disingenuous

Because you'd be surprised how many times the show (even prior to s4) has poked fun at Mike's monologue in the most random ways.

The Bingham's Beautiful Performance

First we have Suzie's sister on the floor, bedazzled and sporting a veil all while her brother is filming. This is basically the kids attempting to present a tale of a romance ending in gruesome tragedy.

Our bride here is El. The edition of the veil could be a nod to the loud majority's series long assumption that Mike and El are going to end the show together, preferably getting married.

Unfortunately, this is the closest thing they'll ever get to it, with the acknowledgement of that possibility in and of itself being mocked.

This next shot makes the likelihood that these scenes are connected pretty much indisputable, that being the edition of the record player behind the bride's head.

The only reason they made a point of having Will push the radio out of El's way, was to subtly connect this moment in Surfer boy to the beautiful performance we saw at the Bingham's only a few episodes prior (scenes that are widely known to be filled with foreshadowing for the season's ending).

A few bylers have already talked about these parallels, so this isn't new knowledge per say. But I do know some have dropped it altogether as possible foreshadowing for whatever reason, while most fans outside of the byler fandom insist it only foreshadowed Eddie's death. However, I think there are too many details that equally, if not more connect it to Mike's monologue than to Eddie's death.

Some fans have also noticed how Will was missing in quite a few shots at the Bingham's, which is interesting, but not all that surprising. Especially in this case...

Will. Will is the director

Director Will: GET THAT RADIO OUT OF MY SHOT!

Will directed the monologue when he used his feelings to inspire Mike, with the reminder of it (literally in the moment) directing Mike to confess to El, just like Suzie's brother directed that beautiful performance. Both performances convincingly left its audience thinking that the performers feelings in that moment were believable and...

#byler #stranger things #byler theory #the binghams #what really gets me is that the script for the monologue implies it did work #but this scene (along with many other scenes throughout the show) make a nod to the fact that it couldn't have possibly worked #by making a literal play by play of it being a performance with a fucking director giving commentary in the background #later the scene outright uses the word genuine to describe suzie's dad (who parallels mike)#and therefore makes the connection to mikes monologue being disingenuous #mike's monologue could be disingenuous for a layer of reasons #but it is disingenuous for the simple fact that it only happened because of will #there are several scenes in the show that make fun of this concept of mike's monologue not working #some in s3 with one in particular from that season being a little too on the nose #but also more moments throughout s4 that also poke fun at it #to be continued

10 - draping a blanket when the other is sleeping

continuing this thing!! but it'll be a bit different in style since I've decided to use it to pick how I'm going to draw the future fancomic. lineart allows for a quick color filling, I'm going to see if I can go straight to it from a rough sketch!

I am fr just existing in workplace hell BUT I now have a new tablet so I can quit one of my jobs and take on comms again (after finishing the queue of people who accepted that they would be waiting however long until i could afford another) and that will give me time to like.. actually exist and create again

Is there a place or specific post where I can start learning sannena'iši?

Unfortunately the only place is in all of my documentation. I've never intended it to be learned, at least not until it is finished to my standards, which considering how I think about it and work on it will be never. In my fantasy where I am motivated and hard working I would write a fantasy novel set in the world of the people, and I've always conceived of it as told from an explorer from another continent's perspective, so the reader learns of the world along side the narrator. And they would learn the language beside them too. So, the ideal would be a book that slowly replaces words as you learn them until at the end the narrator's journal is entirely in the new language by the end.

Keeffe's script is sharp and funny but it's also #unashamedly complex; the plot is labyrinthine‚ underneath the simple conceit‚ and never feels the need to spoonfeed what's happening and #why. topped off with a great moody synth score that's sparingly but effectively used. happy to say this one lives up to the hype #and Derek Thompson‚ as he so often was‚ is brilliant. between this and his tv work from the era (Harry's Game and The Price especially) he #really had the makings of a true star (but if he was happy in Casualty all those years‚ so be it)

While things like visualizing, scripting, and subliminals are fun, my favorite way to manifest is literally just..deciding I have what I want.

Something I found helpful is treating 3D circumstances like suggestions that I can override. Like, if it’s cold outside (because I hate cold weather), I’ll be like “nah, i want it to be warm, so it is”.

Just by shifting my mindset, I’ve lost like 20 lbs, have my desired appearance head to toe, and a bunch of other stuff I’m to lazy to write.

Your reality has no choice but to fall to your whim, remember that.

I kinda understand why they did this from the dev's POV, bc for them, a way to show an organization is "extremely dangerous" and "ruthless", is for them to come to the 141's home turf in the UK (because showing them harming people in Urzikstan or Russia wouldn't be "scary enough").

I'm glad you like Al Mudahiyn. They're definitely gonna show up in part 2, so I'll be interested to explore their motivations more in the future!

The change is so ugly that I may transition to making scripts a different way... I'm so sad... it genuinely ruins everything.

Did they fire their UX designers...? Like it's so fucking ugly.

I did pull a karen and complained (politely) through email; I know that someone was actually able to get notion to remove notion AI from their database completely, so maybe I can change the new page button with the galleries to be how they normally were for my scripts...

I'm not sure if it'll look the same to you guys if they do manage to change it for me.
