For a low-budget 90's cartoon, Simba the King Lion has a surprising amount of continuity?

The writing quality is by no means Dante or anything, but, like, it has a lot of American shows I watched as a kid beat by that metric.

I watched the "hyper realistic" version of "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" on Youtube and I was not ready for the utter lack of emotions from the CGI animals.

Also, in the CGI version this song called "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" does not take place at night.

The 90s/early 2000s was the best Disney era for male protagonists

This isn't all of them, but these were the best of them, imo. And this is just the characters; how I felt about their movies varies. I hope more Disney films in the future feature male leads--especially musicals!

Oh, here we go! Episode 6 of Simba the King Lion, "Simba's Star Power," is starting to get weird and I'm here for it.

Man, the background artists on this series really go hard for such a low-budget cartoon. They really got to strut their stuff in the kingdom of the fireflies. ...And yes magical fairies fireflies and gifts from the Big Dipper are delightful.

I find myself wondering how often Simba's star marks will be animated. They already disappeared and reappeared a few times along with Buckshot's spots. XD
