It's more due to their dynamic. Cam and Jade really had a sibling dynamic, they would argue and compete with one another while also caring for each other. Cam can be dense but he wasn't unaware of how Jade acted, and they had several fights about it. With Jade always promising to do better.

Eventually there would have come a point where Cam realized that Jade wasn't going to change and he would have had to make a choice on whether or not he would still be friends with Jade. But that choice was made for him once the affair was found out.

It's just so funny to me how it's always said older siblings are inherently second parents to the younger siblings. Especially how mostly in media it's portrayed that a good older sibling will be selfless and sacrifice for the younger one whereas a bad one will mostly be someone who doesn't really pay attention to the younger one. Like, my brother in christ, the child u birthed a few years ago cannot and should not be like a parent to ur second child. That child has dreams and aspirations of their own, autonomy of their own. Why must they be subject to such preposterous criteria just to be a good person in ur eyes?

Vaggie's always had one question about hell. One that always bothered her so she figures she'd ask the only two people who might have an answer. Lucius: Well think about it, the parents, the adults who are cannibalistic, basically sentence their children to life time in hell. I feel like Cairo would just need some affection or something, cause man, being in the shadow of a sibling is annoying as hell and makes you feel pretty worthless (at least in my experience).

As for why wednesday is becoming more distant? the last time she got this close.. the grief nearly killed her and the thought of something similar happening to cairo is a pain she wouldn't wish on herself. She'll be there, ofcourse she will, family will always be there but...

maybe its a defense mechanism and i don't think she's aware of it but what Wednesday does know? is that cairo is irritated at her for her behavior and wednesday is irritated right back when cairo seemed to hesitate a lil bit between choosing her and her friends

I think I may have just written the most sibling coded dialogue ever.

This is Marcus and Bonnie by the way. When they argue I've really been trying hard to make them argue like actual children would and be really bad at actually expressing their feelings/acknowledging those feelings when they are expressed toward them.

And I ended up with this. Which feels so crazy in character for them to me.
