I feel like Cairo would just need some affection or something, cause man, being in the shadow of a sibling is annoying as hell and makes you feel pretty worthless (at least in my experience).

honestly, why do you think cairo got so into enid? Like sure, it isn't new for people to go for her but there was always this looming threat to them, never going too far because wednesday was there

but with enid? Enid who doesn't care? who goes along with the tiny things that cairo hides in attempt to fit? she's all cairo needed

As for why wednesday is becoming more distant? the last time she got this close.. the grief nearly killed her and the thought of something similar happening to cairo is a pain she wouldn't wish on herself. She'll be there, ofcourse she will, family will always be there but...

maybe its a defense mechanism and i don't think she's aware of it but what Wednesday does know? is that cairo is irritated at her for her behavior and wednesday is irritated right back when cairo seemed to hesitate a lil bit between choosing her and her friends

I don't see a lot of headcanons where the reader has a sibling dynamic with Jack Frost. So here's some sibling-like relationship between you and Jack Frost that no one asked for :p

He's still definitely the prankster. He will crawl into your room through the window to tease you

If you don't like the cold, he will absolutely fly in with a cool gust of wind to tick you off

When you decide to sit down to do your homework, he flies in and knocks all your homework off your desk

A conversation with @winnie-the-monster had me wanting to do this! She pointed out the potential parallel that could’ve been, but sadly wasn’t :(

Summary: What if Gwen got upset at Nikki and Nate for leaving her behind? Takes place starting from the end of I Can See Clearly Now.

"Nik? What are you doing in my house? We broke up!" Making Nikki give Nate a weird look.

Anger and hurt started to course into Gwen's veins. So this is why they didn’t come over to check on her? To fuck each other's brains out?

Gwen scoffs, feeling anger surge up inside her, burning through her and igniting her spirit. "Unbelievable. So this was what you were doing while I was sent to the fucking police?! Fucking each other’s brains out!"

Nikki and Nate's face turn red from shame and regret. Heavy knots of remorse settle in the pits of their stomach. They should’ve put their urges to the side to check up on Gwen, but they didn't.

Gwen shakes her head, walking towards the lovers. "I can't believe you guys! Nate, I know we don’t always the best relationship, but I would’ve thought you'd care enough to see how I was doing. You're supposed to be my brother and you left me hanging, and for what? To fuck Nikki, who you almost cheated on with my best friend?!"

She tried desperately to fight the tears that were pushing against the water gates. But it was no use; tears brimmed from her eyes when she looks into Nikki's. It hurt even more seeing Nikki on the verge of tears while clinging onto Nate's jersey.

"We're supposed to be friends, and you just left me hanging to sleep with Nate. Was that why you came late to the mall? Because you just had to get a good fuck in?" Gwen shakes her head, gulping down the sandy texture that developed in her mouth and tried again.

"You know what? I don’t even care that you came late because of that. I care that you didn’t even come over to see if I was okay after what was basically the worst day of my life. You get upset about me not checking in on you after you found about Nate and Leia, yet you didn’t even do the same for me when I got hurt."

Tears were in Gwen's eyes, but her face was rigid with focus. She was completely in her right mind, but her emotions were pouring out. The worst part was that Gwen couldn’t even be mad at Nate and Nikki; all she could feel was hurt.

"Gwen, I—"

Gwen scrunches her eyes, tears still flowing. "Just stay away from me." She walks past Nikki and Nate, letting out sobs in the process.

It really irks me when people try to argue that a ship have a sibling like relationship because they don't personally ship that pairing. It's such a transparent attempt to dismiss a ship that they aren't fond of.

Instead of being honest about the fact that they simply prefer a different pairing, these fans try to reframe the dynamic between the characters in question as being more familial than romantic. They'll insist the characters have a brother - sister thing going on, even when the interactions between the characters don't support that at all.

It's a really common tactic, especially when it comes to shipping debates. People don't want to just say "I like this other pairing better" - they have to go the extra step of trying to invalidate the pairing they don't ship by claiming the characters view each other as siblings. You can highlight the great friendship between the characters without trying to categorize them into a familial dynamic.

At the end of the day, shipping is subjective. There's room for multiple interpretations and perspectives. But the sibling angle is just a lazy cop out that does a disservice to the actual dynamics and chemistry between the characters. If you don't like a pairing, just say so - don't try to rewrite the characters' entire relationship to fit your own preferences.
