ME, LOUDLY, INTO MY VOID: ANYWAY, as soon as Koushiro is more fully in charge of the spaces/buildings Koushiro works in/heads, Koushiro Izumi One Hundred Percent works to make those spaces as accessible to Disabled people and visting Chosen as POSSIBLE (and Koushiro also hates those fluorescent and other too-bright lights) At other times they have "quiet hours" and the Digis can visit more easily in between. There is Wheelchair accessibility, and Iori's acquaintance from that hospital also visits in between, among other such instances, and the Chosen drop by absolutely appreciating all of this. I like to think that Shuuji, during his university years, switched to anthropology from his initial major that his family pressured him to take (perhaps medicine?)–not only that it fits him following Professor's steps (who researches and teaches folklore as an anthropology course), it'd also make a nice throwback to Kido Shuu in Digimon Adventure 02.

There is a slight hint of Daisuke/Original ("Girl") Character OC, but its more lightly implied; (Epilogue semi-canon compliant) There are also background relationships like Taichi/Koushiro, the slightest hint of background Ken/Daisuke, others hinted.

According to the 2003 -Spring- CD drama, Shuu and Jun get to become Chosen Children very quickly after 02 and work in a team, which I absolutely love. I really do want them to get along and not just because I’m a dirty shipper. I picked Hyokomon to be Jun’s partner forever ago; Herissmon is a more recent pick for Shuu (I think I had Gizamon down for him for a while? not a good fit in retrospect). Something about Hyokomon makes me feel it has the same sort of energy as Jun, and Herissmon is a good, curious little bean who would definitely get along with Shuu, who is also a good bean.

Imagining what kind of Digimon the Adventure/02 kids’ siblings end up having is fun!

Koushiro Week 2022 - Day 6: Life Outside of The Chosen, Confidence & Koushiro as the Head of the Chosen Information

Days: [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] Title: New Beginnings Characters: Koushiro Izumi, Tentomon, Akemi Murakami (OC), Megumi Izumi (OC), Sora Takenouchi, Haruhiko Takenouchi and Shuu Kido. Summary: Koushiro's first day working with Sora's father and Jou's oldest brother. “Daddy!” Megumi climbed on her parents’ bed and started jumping up and down. “Sweetheart, I’m trying to sleep.” “Mommy said it’s time for you to wake up. You’re going to start your new job today.” She sat down and crawled towards him after realizing he wasn’t going to move. “Daddy!” “I’m up.” Koushiro tapped over his bedside table looking for his phone, with his eyes half open. “Mommy made pancakes with chocolate sauce. She said it’s your favorite. Did you know it’s mine too?” “Really?” He sat down and pulled her down on his lap, immediately tickling her body. “Daddy, stop it! It’s itching!” Megumi couldn’t stop laughing as her father kept playing with her. “Are you ready to spend the day with grandma?” “Yes!” She exclaimed excitedly and then threw herself into his arms. “She said she’s making my favorite cake.” “Oh yeah? Are you going to bring a slice to me and mommy?” Megumi nodded with a smile. “And to Tentomon and Motimon too.” “Megumi, come have breakfast, so we can go to grandma’s apartment.” “Okay!” “Daddy will get ready and will be there to have breakfast with you in a few minutes.” “Okay!” Megumi ran to the kitchen as soon as Koushiro put her down on the ground.

Tentomon flew into Koushiro’s bedroom when he opened the door after getting dressed. He landed on his bed and watched his partner fix his red tie. “What do you think?” Koushiro turned around so Tentomon could see his outfit. “I think you look great! Are you excited for your first day?” “I am.” He nodded with a smile. “But I have to admit I’m a little nervous too. I never really talked to Sora’s father and Jou’s brother before.” “They are nice people.” “I know, but it’s a little more different now. They will be my work colleagues.” “I’m sure it will get better as the days go by. Besides, she said that she’ll be there with you, didn’t she?” “She did and I couldn’t be more grateful for her. She didn’t have to go through all of this.” “She’s an amazing person.” “She is. What are your thoughts on these headcanons? (Sorry in advance, I’m a bit preoccupied with Osamu orz).

The Dark Ocean can be accessed in one of two ways: following someone who was pulled there (Takeru, Miyako) or after witnessing the death of someone you know (Maki and Bakumon, Hikari and Wizarmon, Ken and Osamu).

Osamu was retroactively created via reality warping when Ken was infected with a Dark Seed so that Ken would want to be smarter. He was also killed via space and time manipulation - he and the driver both saw a green light, and the driver’s reaction time was inexplicably slower for just that split second.

Having said that, there are alternate timelines where he wasn’t killed for whatever reason - i.e., Ryō or some other entity’s interference. In most of these timelines, he and Ken get along better as they get older, though sometimes they need a little nudging.

There’s also a timeline where Ken died and Osamu was manipulated. He created MugenDramon, whose soul ended up in a pocket dimension at the same time as Ken’s Chimeramon’s, resulting in Millenniummon. In a sense, Millenniummon was born from both brothers’ grief for each other and destructive ways of dealing with that grief.

Switching gears/characters: Wallace’s father is a trucker, a career which he mainly chose so that he could travel as part of his job. Wallace inherited his wanderlust from him. Wallace also has a love for nature and eventually becomes a park ranger.

Amy (an offscreen character that was briefly mentioned in Hurricane Touchdown) is a quiet, somewhat nerdy girl who’s usually ignored by her classmates. Wallace is one of the few people who’s consistently friendly with her. She eventually becomes a video game developer.

Shū practiced judo in high school.

As for your headcanons:

That seems logical, and I wouldn't be surprised if Takeru could access it on his own since he technically lost Angemon once before. Also, I feel as if I've heard this before, so I believe it from the get go.

I'm... never a fan of stuff like this, if I'm being honest. As an older sister myself, I'd prefer not to think about what's-his-face being that evil that his Dark Seeds created an entire person. Also, how would Ken's parents have known about Osamu if he wasn't technically real,,,,,? I dunno, these kind of things make me squicky.

Now alternate timelines I enjoy. Whatever the scientific theory is, I do believe there is a version of Ken that didn't have to suffer that much as a young kiddo. Plus, he deserves some sort of universe where he and Osamu got to be better to each other.

DO THEY MEET UP AND GET TO SEE THEIR OTHER-UNIVERSE BROTHERS? DO THEY GET TO HUG IT OUT? DO THEY HEAL EACH OTHER'S PAIN KNOWING THAT THEY STILL LOVE EACH OTHER? TELL ME MORRREEEEEEEE

No wonder he was able to get around places. I approve. Also, park rangers are cool, he should totally do it.

From me having to look up who exactly that is for a second and what I read, that seems entirely plausible since he was apparently at some sort of training camp during 01.

My Commentary: This small but significant sequence takes place not long after Koushiro is revealed to be a canon Adoptee. Mrs. Izumi is fully aware that Koushiro has accepted Mrs. Izumi (+Izumis both) as Koushiro's true parent{s}, however, we are not given indication that the other supporting characters were actually told about 'the secret' of Koushiro's. Shin's surprise, in that regard, can hardly be held too much against Shin - which Mrs. Izumi eventually quickly recognizes, dropping the argument and frustration - Shin was likely completely unaware how strongly Mrs. Izumi felt during these moments, while Mrs. Izumi was likely running on pure adrenaline responding!

Mrs. Izumi, in the original version, is also using a neutrally polite speech pattern that is overall appropriate when speaking to children; Koushiro, in the original, is also known for speaking throughout the entire series with a formal and polite pattern that is "unusual" for Koushiro's age, while it's more "typical" for Mrs. Izumi to use similar in this sequence.

Shin Kido, Jou's 2nd eldest sibling closer in age, the 2nd born of the three Kidos, is the sibling who appears throughout Adventure Episodes 35~39 and later Adventure-specific episodes (such as flashback sequence in Dark Masters arc) specifically. In the 2nd sequel series, "02", Jou's oldest sibling, Shuu, was introduced. The U. S. dub combined "Shin" and "Shuu" into "Jim", a singular character, but they were actually two separate siblings! (Thus, Jou is speaking to Shin as if Shin is the younger of the two siblings, addressing Shin commonly with a 'casual' "Nii-san", though in this scene, Jou sounds surprisingly more 'assured' and perhaps a slight bit 'full of' self, but is quickly grounded by Sora and Mimi not long after.)
