So, since I clicked on 'Yes, and I feel compelled to reblog and share the story' (which I don't really, but that's the closest to my answer, which would have been a simple 'yes'), I suppose I'm obliged to reblog and tell the story.
Let's go back about 30 years to my first Internet account, back when you could reasonably keep up with a Usenet newsgroup or three via a dialup BBS. No, I'm not going to explain Usenet to the whippersnappers. I had been -- and I still occasionally use -- 'ikaros' as an online handle, which nomme de Net dates back to the VAX VMS 11/750 at my college in the early 1980s. Always all lower case, for reasons I simply do not recall. It was an affectation probably influenced by having read too much e.e. cummings in grade school.
Anyway, I fell in with the Usenet fan MSTing crowd, and for a MSTing of Batman Forever which I think we belted out of the park, I came up with the character of Dr Sherwood Forrester, the long lost twin of Dr Clayton Forrester. Ere long online, I was signing off as 'The Rev Dr Sherwood Forrester' or 'trdsf'.
Skip forward to 1996 and the MST3K ConventioCon Expo Fest-O-Rama 2 Electric Boogaloo. I'm wandering the halls early on Sunday with a friend and who do we bump into but Trace "Clayton Forrester" Beaulieu, who had just announced his retirement from MST3K shortly before the convention. While shaking his hand, the conversation went thusly:
Me: I'd like to say thank you for the last several years... He: Well, thank you very much. Me: ...and the best of luck in the future... He: Thank you, thank you. Me: ...and can I have your old job now? He: (throwing his head back and laughing) Sure!
And ever since then officially online I've been trdsf, aka The Rev Dr Sherwood Forrester.
As it happens, I am properly a reverend, as I have a formal ordination via the Universal Life Church as a minister in the Church of the SubGenius. And once I up my membership in the HP Lovecraft Historical Society, I shall definitely purchase a Miskatonic doctorate. :D
tl;dr -- trdsf is a hardcore MSTie and nerd and always has been.

Top 10 Niche Interests
Fixations? Obsessions? This is incredibly hard because I have wayyyy too many niche interests, so instead of stressing about it, I tried to channel the 10 things that immediately speak to me and maybe aren't so obvious from what I post here, like how much I'm obsessed with wigs, doll furniture, incredibly specific blogs, all forms of clothing with pockets, swimming pools, whimsical bus stops, over-the-top bathrooms, etc. etc Instead, I opted for some specifics that feel a little more evergreen and long tailed, like, so LIFE-long tailed that it's tough to nail down when or how they became part of the national psyche. I thank @alienfuckeronmain for the initial tag, and I'm tagging her AGAIN for round two because I know she has a billion additional niche things, and she'll post them, and I'll scream because it'll trigger five other things I neglected to post here, and I'll probably post my own round two, arggggh, insert aggressive sighing. Anyway, I tag ANYONE who wants to do it, just tag me so I can see!
1. Indoor Trees
I have no idea why this concept PULLS so hard because houseplants are kind of meh to me, but you want to plant an entire-ass TREE indoors, in the place where you live? Me, too, and I'd add a conversation pit plus a combo gold/red bathroom, among other things, and, bam, we're in my imaginary dream home, which I have literally, constantly ALWAYS mentally constructed from the time I was about six or so. (If you're curious, it has multiple themed rooms, and the closest I've seen to it recently is the outstanding Dita von Teese AD feature, but Amy Sedaris’s apartment comes close, too). There are two (2) 1960s houses in Long Beach with magnificent indoor trees, but I can't find them online, so have this modern interpretation and cry with me about how I can't visit the multi-story fake tree inside Clifton's Cafeteria for a good long while:
2. Conventions of Fans of Any Kind
One thing that I don't think I'll ever lose is how much I *love* people who are fans of SOMETHING, people who have a passion and create something about it or cosplay it or simply gather to celebrate it and connect to other people through it. The Internet provides in all kinds of ways, but I'm talking specifically about IRL conventions and the way my heart pitter pats when I first walk in those doors, SWOON! And it doesn’t matter how big the convention is or how random, I've been to smaller events like CatCon and the My Little Pony convention all the way up to biggies like WonderCon and Comic Con, and I have yet to be disappointed. I might know jack shit about what I'm walking into, but I want to see the merch, hear about the panels, and check out the people who are fucking PUMPED to be there. Sadly, I think it's gonna be a lonnnnng time until these come back, but I can live vicariously through my old photos, sigh:
3. Dutch Wax Fabrics and African Fashion
I'm not the snazziest of dressers, but textiles, colors, and patterns have been an obsession that has soothed my visual soul for as long as I can literally remember. Wax fabric marries all three of those touchpoints, plus throws in a healthy dose of style, and I count myself lucky to have seen two big exhibits on the subject (this was one of them), oh, how I wish there were more! For sure, there's a fucked up underlying colonial/imperialist history here, but there's also humor and color and vibrancy, a reclamation of sorts, and multiple levels of fashion that take my breath away. I cannot do the different patterns justice at all, but the fan motif is one of my faves:
4. Hearst Castle vs. Madonna inn
These two fall into my #home tag because they're where I'm from, and they speak to me as equally sublime and ridiculous, camp and kitsch writ large and small, different (yet similar!) versions of Xanadu that two rich white men built as shrines to their own personal "taste." And the irony is that a lot of people shit on Alex Madonna for being tacky (the Madonna Inn is...uh, something else), yet praise WR Hearst for all the high-class art and architecture, most of which is fully lifted from desperate churches between and after world and yet they're both more or less the same concept (lodging for weary travelers, self-aggrandizement, questionable taste-mixing). Hearst Castle edges out slightly for me because it's bigger and has spectacular scenery and history, plus it gives me doses of LA noir thanks to the way Hearst killed a guy in a jealous Charlie Chaplin-related rage and Hedda Hopper covered it up, all kinds of old Hollywood shenanigans happened up there, etc. But I'm low-key an expert on both houses of the holy, I'm OBSESSED with both, and we can leave it at that. I mean, come on:
5. Snow Globes
I had to cull my personal collection slightly just to fit it all on the dedicated shelf in my bathroom, and I seriously need to refill all the water lines, but nothing beats a snow globe in terms of memorable souvenir, especially when you put it in a bathroom. The majesty!!! The jewel of my collection is the one from Sherwood Forest because WHY NOT celebrate a historic place and moment in the basic way?? He robbed from the rich to give to the poor, and the gift shop about 100 feet from the tree he hid in does the same! The circle of life! The irony of all the watermarks on this blessed image...protect:
6. Highly Specific Museums
Look, we can all agree that the more venerated museums in the world are a form of garbage in terms of what they represent, what they've done, and who runs them, but I'm here for the museums that collect and celebrate things that tend to get overlooked. There are too many to list that I love that are still thriving, so I'm going to say goodbye to four recently departed faves. RIP to the Pez museum, I'm so glad I saw you and purchased your stale candy souvenirs. RIP to the museum of terrible food, you were a pop up when Phoenix and I saw you, and I will forever think about the worker describing people literally vomiting during their visits. RIP to the currywurst museum in Berlin, I've had currywurst exactly once and it was not for me, but I respect the Journey you took me on, including obscure east German TV shows that helped make you so popular (??). Finally, RIP to the velvet painting museum, there's no way to mince words, the person who owned you was crazy AS FUCK and had zero clue how to run a business, but I'm so glad I saw you multiple times and purchased my own velvet treasure (not this exact one, but remarkably similar):
7. Liminal Spaces: Grocery Store Edition
Confession time for those who don't know me all that well, I'm a big time voyeur, and nothing fills my heart with joy like a walk at 7 or 8 pm, the witching hour when people haven't pulled the curtains, and I can scope out their decorations/furnishings without it being "weird." Another confession is how much I unabashedly adore grocery stores in other countries and will spend at least an hour wandering aisle by aisle, falling in love with how much everything is different yet completely the same:
8. Agatha Christie Novels:
As a child, I was a fairly compliant reader--I had to read something for school? Okay! For my mom? Sounds good! But the books that sparked the initial fire for me to read something purely for myself were second-hand (probably fourth- or fifth-hand, judging by cover art) Agatha Christie short story anthologies, which were the gateway drug to full Agatha Christie novels, then other mystery novels, and so on. But getting back to Agatha, I obviously loved all the stories, but every decade spawned incredibly good cover art (like, exceptionally good), and this particular artist's are right up near the top for me (I go back and forth on a lot of the '50s and '60s ones):
9. Scopitones
I link my obsession with scopitones both to my love of music videos in general and a shop in Austin, TX, that sold DVD compilations of them in particular, but either way, they're underappreciated and kitschy all in one! Francoise Hardy and the rest of the ye-ye's are my forever girls for this medium, but seemingly every country cranked them out, both actual set videos and "live" performances? If you don't know what they are, scopitones were machines that played music videos in French cafes in the '60s (??), so it was sort of your proto-MTV way to see your faves sing and dance. Oh, Francoise...so moderne!!
10. Cover Songs
I have so much patience and love for cover songs of any stripe, the more genre-bending and/or surprising, the better! My only minor beef is the trend in slooooooooowing down songs to make a point, but even those ones have a special place in my heart if they're effective. Live Lounge feeds my hunger the best, but my meta fave for representing this concept is Pulp's Bad Cover Version, which was already lyrically INSPIRED, a song about bad cover versions in terms of relationships, but then they did a video that was a visual "bad" cover version, with actors lip synching over an audio "bad" cover version, and all of it just worked? The cover for the single is someone in the band as a boy, making his own bad cover version of a Bowie album cover, it's meta meta meta, and I love love love, here's the video, if you're curious. In the more sublime cover category, I'm absolutely addicted to all of Orville Peck's covers, I truly hope he officially releases them sometime soon, but I wholeheartedly support any artist who does it:

DAY 4029
Jalsa, Mumbai Mar 24/25, 2019 Sun/Mon 1:57 AM
When emotions ride above all else .. when pride overwhelms .. when what you brought into this world excels above all else .. when there is wonder and astonishment on the passage of time .. when there is none other before but this, or after .. then ..
it is the love of the Father ..
.. and that moment when you recollect what your parents thought and felt when they did see you in such .. and not just them, but what you yourself thought of that moment when the pride you built, is demonstrated by your actions ..
.. I was fortunate, to have had many ..
and they were the greatest moments of fulfilment ever ..
.. placed right at the back in the School play in kinder garden at St Mary’s Convent, Allahabad .. and stepping out from the line during the act, so Ma and Dad could see where you were on stage - hidden as it is by the other class mates - such childish and un embarrassed moments .. winning those athletic races in Boys’ High School, getting up on the victory stand at the Number 1 , platform and smiling into the box camera that was documenting my achievement by Ma .. that School play during Founder’s in Sherwood and winning the Best Actor Cup, the Kendal Cup with Ma and Dad sitting in the audience in Milman Hall, our auditorium .. the glories of cinema and the Premiere occasions , particularly of Deewar, when I coaxed them to accompany me and for them to see and hear the cheer .. the Awards of the National nomenclature and the decorations of the Padma and several others from other nations .. the massive stage concerts overseas and their attendance at Wembley Stadium, London for the ‘Jumma Chumma’ Concert ..
.. we cannot fathom their happiness .. they that have the moment of theirs in achievement do dwell on it .. that is accountable , the other is not ..
they when they witness my saving after 1982 and Coolie .. and the coming home emotions .. runs all along in each generation .. the tears that well up when you hold your first grandchild .. the blessings you give ..
.. and then the blessings of YOU .. the Ef .. and all the wishers on the Sunday ..
.. this cannot be ordinary .. this cannot be without divine intervention .. divinity does not accompany me , but it does give me the instrument to be in eternal gratitude and prayer, for all the wishes he/she keeps fulfilling ..
Good night dear ones .. and thank you for all you do say and execute !!

Favorites : Heathers (1988)
As a child of the 1980′s, I feel that I was the benefactor of a very special time for teenage-focused cinema. Things went either screwball or overly-adult in the 1990′s, and skewed deep into the realms of YA-fiction in the 2000′s and beyond, but in the 1980's, we were blessed with very self-aware comedies that were not afraid to skew towards edgy. John Hughes made a slew of these films, Amy Heckerling dropped a jewel with Fast Times at Ridgemont High, but for my money’s worth, my favorite of the era was Heathers.
In Sherwood, Ohio, Veronica Sawyer (Winona Ryder) is a high school student who begrudgingly finds herself a member of a popular group of high school girls known as the Heathers : the bold and brash Heather McNamara (Lisanne Falk), the stylish and sly Heather Chandler (Kim Walker), and the self-conscious and shy Heather Duke (Shannen Doherty). While conducting the daily polls that Heather M. subjects her to, Veronica meets J.D. (Christian Slater), a mysterious and rebellious new student who immediately becomes infamous after threatening jocks Kurt Kelly (Lance Fenton) and Ram Sweeney (Patrick Labyorteaux) with a real gun loaded with blanks. Veronica becomes intrigued with J.D., and the two beginning a budding friendship that blossoms into a strange relationship. As the two become closer, however, J.D.’s influence on Veronica begins to cost students their lives, forcing Veronica to ultimately face the reality of a relationship gone wild.
Heathers, to this day, is one of the most wonderfully absurdist and extreme examinations on bullying, peer pressure and popularity. By choice, the film selects a list of some of the toughest topics to face while remaining entertaining : eating disorders, teen sex, teen suicide and dysfunctional homes are all addressed with waves of dark humor. The story is full of angst-filled antiheroes and antagonists, where the audience is forced to justify shades of wrong rather than be presented with a clear element that stands in the right. In turn, the concept of value is expressed in the way that death can sometimes absolve even the worst people of all bad character aspects that they portray. With the word so heavily populated by teenagers, the brief asides given to show how out of touch the adults are, be it by ignorance or by choosing to dance around the issues, help way the world in a bleak foundation.
The film is very forward thinking in terms of using objective dark humor towards its taboo topics, with arguably the most popular character shooting personality traits of a school shooter. With this skewed element given such influence, the presentation of the traditional teenage hierarchy trope becomes unique, with characters that possess recognizable traits being given an edge that makes them magnetic. The level of ‘maturity’ presented in teen films like this seem to be a tonal thing of the past, with the characters of Heathers somehow managing to ring true despite their outlandish dialogue and high style. This outlandish dialogue was also a gateway to many philosophical and existential ruminations dressed up as witty teenage banter.
The Veronica Sawyer and Betty Finn naming convention used to inform viewers of personality types is subtle but effective, especially with Veronica being the only non-Heather of the titular Heathers. The writing is amazing, with some of the best moments being highly questionable and highly offensive lines. The use of traditional, old-school cinematography tricks like low camera placements, dutch angles, implied expressionism and slow pushes gives the film echoes of Kubrick and Hitchcock feels.
Winona Ryder solidified herself as the princess of tortured females with the Veronica role, bringing a grounded approach to the same disconnection issues used for her Lydia performance earlier in the year. Christian Slater’s magnetic personality works well opposite Ryder, with the best aspects of his Jack Nicholson-esque personality rising to the top. Lisanne Falk is so snide it hurts, with her brief showing in the film leaving a strong, lasting impression. Kim Walker brings in Gretchen Weiner vibes ages before Gretchen was imagined, while Shannen Doherty plays the opportunist in disguise so perfectly that it sneaks upon you. Renee Estvez and Carrie Lynn provide solid diametric shades in opposition to our main characters, while Lance Fenton and Patrick Labyorteaux provide absurd comedy in a realm flush with dark comedic tones. Appearances by Glenn Shadix, Jeremy Applegate, Chuck LaFont and Phill Lewis round things out.
I often forget to give this film the love that it deserves when I mention my favorite films, or films that have had a heavy influence on me. That being said, every viewing of Heathers I’ve had has been a rewarding one, and the film continues to age well, even if the dialogue skews away from modern day political correctness. This film, in my opinion, is always worth your time and consideration.

Nice- Heather Chandler
Pairing: Heather Chandler x Reader
Characters: Heather Chandler
Warnings: N/A
Request: Anon- Could I get a heathers imagine? Heather Chandler with a female partner, S/O is similar to Heather in status, but completely disagrees with her manner and attitude. She shows Heather who really rules the school, in more of a hands on way, wInk wOnk ^^ not a request for smut im just bad at wording lmao
Word Count: 520
Author: Charlotte
Growing up you never thought that you could love someone but completely disagree with their actions. You had been best friends with Heather Chandler since childhood and it soon blossomed into love. It wasn’t conventional love though. In Sherwood, Ohio it wasn’t wanted for men to love men or women to love women, but no matter the stigma that came with it, you and Heather were happy together.
That was until high school truly got underway and she became what was probably best described as a dictator of Westerburg High. She became the popular leader with her two friends Heather and Heather, whilst you were equally popular but didn’t see the need to hold fear above everyone. You didn’t feel the need to be popular, but people liked you because you were nice to them, and also because they feared your girlfriend.
You didn’t want people to fear you though due to who you dated. Heather could be a bitch, and she wasn’t bothered if people knew such about her, but you didn’t want that. You wanted people to like you, you wanted to have friends and most of all you didn’t want to watch your girlfriend fester hatred within the school and hurt and destroy people.
As you did every Friday, the two of you were in her bedroom, you were painting her nails the bright red that she liked. This time the evening wouldn’t be the same. You couldn’t bare to see everyone hate her anymore, and you couldn’t bare the pain she caused to your peers.
“Heather,” you said softly, not wanting to annoy her.
“Hm,” she hummed, not looking up from the magazine she held in her non-painted hand.
“I need to talk to you about something, and I know you’re not going to be happy about it, but it means a lot to me.”
She lowered the magazine and gave you a smile to suggest you could continue. You put the brush back into the nail vanish, screwing the cap back on.
“You need to stop being a bitch.”
She cocked an eyebrow at you, a smirk crawling onto her lips. “Well that was blunt.”
You couldn’t help but smile awkwardly, that wasn’t the way you wanted to approach the subject but maybe it would work.
“Well I need to be,” you stated. “Its not fair that everyone fears you, you are constantly so cruel and heartless, it needs to change.”
“It works though doesn’t it. I get what I want and so do you,” she shrugged.
You moved the nail vanish away from you, so that you could move forward to lean over her. You bit your lip to attempt to be seductive.
“Well Heather, maybe there could be something in it for you, if you were a little nicer to people,” you smirked.
She rolled her eyes at you, reaching a hand up to snake to the back of your neck.
“Maybe I could do that.”
“If you are nicer, I promise it’ll be worth it,” you whispered seductively.
Heather let out a sigh, “fine but it better be worth my while.”
“Deal.”

A QUESTION FOR PETER CAPALDI
This past spring Peter Capaldi was a guest at the Regeneration Who 4 convention in Baltimore MD. If I got an opportunity to ask him a question, I wanted it to be a good one — a question that I hoped he'd find interesting to answer as well as one that would interest the other people in the room.
I've always been fascinated by Capaldi's physical portrayal of the Doctor. So I thought — I’ll formulate a question about his physicality as an actor: How he developed his portrayal of the Doctor. Why he felt that the brew of elegance & awkwardness he hit on was who his Doctor was.
"I didn't get in to drama school they said: You're too big, Your eyebrows are too active, Your face expresses too much."
That’s what Peter Capaldi was told when he auditioned for RADA. Decades later, when he was in his forties, he realized that he should:
Celebrate being different. In the end, my Glasgow accent didn’t matter. The fact I was different would provide me with the employment I’ve had. Embrace everything. My mother said: “If you fell in the Clyde you’d come out with fish in your pocket."
From the very first moment we met Capaldi’s Doctor in "Deep Breath," his debut episode, his portrayal was filled with vitality & with vigor. His posture & poses were quite distinctive, always well-defined & forceful. He utilized an imaginative range of hand & arm gestures that complemented & elaborated on the expressions of his very expressive face. Every moment & gesture he made seemed finely honed & beautifully timed to his line delivery.
The Twelfth Doctor Emerges | Deep Breath | Doctor Who | BBC https://youtu.be/V6e7jHwIok8
Capaldi was constantly on the move, covering every inch of the space available to him inside the frame. I've heard Rachel Talalay say that he preferred to be moving around the set when he was delivering lines ~ particularly during his Big Speeches ~ which was why so many of his scenes were done as medium shots &/or fluid tracking shots. Those Big Speeches are as much riveting dance performances as they are marvelous monologues reminiscent of tour de force solos in a classic ballet or play.
The Doctor's Speech | The Zygon Inversion | Doctor Who https://youtu.be/BJP9o4BEziI
Sometimes Capaldi turned a moment of drama or comedy into a duet with the kind of spatial dynamic that you see between two tango partners. Most frequently his dance partner was Missy ~ like the encounter between them in "Dark Water" that ends with a kiss on his nose...
Missy Kisses The Doctor | Dark Water | Doctor Who https://youtu.be/6UsUSx8rfsc
...and the moment in "The Doctor Falls" when they subtly advance & retreat, briefly grasping hands.
"Where I Fall" Speech | The Doctor Falls | Doctor Who | BBC https://youtu.be/xnouj9Yz-Gs
It was quite marvelous to watch Capaldi manipulate props. It is one of the outstanding things about his performance in "Heaven Sent." Spade, spoon, skull, flower...
Breaking The Wall | Heaven Sent | Doctor Who | BBC https://youtu.be/sl9pTDK8PAk
...trousers, jacket, waistcoat, shirt, boots — every object was held with precise intent and his gestures echoed in the subsequent revelations of what each object meant to the unfolding drama and resolution of the episode's story.
"What do you think of the new look? I was hoping for minimalism, but I think I came out with magician."
From the moment he showed off the red silk lining of his coat, I was struck by how Capaldi incorporated into his performance the actions of putting on his coat, buttoning his shirt & adjusting its cuffs.
In his hands, those everyday actions, meticulously rendered, sometimes delineated a shift in tone — always signaling the sombre, determination of a Time Lord whose crisp, buttoned-up to the top white shirts and well-fitted jackets were his armour. Never truer and never more heart-rending than at the end of "Hell Bent," when, after coming the long way round to his home world, he leaves it behind again, this time bereft of companionship as well as memory.
Doctor Who Season 9 - The Doctor and the TARDIS Reunite https://youtu.be/DO92cm1Kf_s
One of the things that always interested me the most about Capaldi's physicality, his gestures and his movement through space, is that despite the jokes about how oddly he runs — as Bill Potts, his Season 10 companion, pointed out, he runs "like a penguin with it's arse on fire" —
Twelve - The Penguin With Its Arse on Fire! || Doctor Who https://youtu.be/0mj2CotG8O4
Capaldi is actually a very graceful mover. He is quite as elegant as the well-tailored clothes he wore throughout Season 8 and returned to at the end of Season 9 as well as during Season 10. There's an astonishing moment at the beginning of "Thin Ice" when he steps out of the TARDIS and smoothly pivots around, extending his hand to Bill as she steps out for the first time into the past. Every time I watch that moment, I marvel at how someone who has, throughout his acting career, run in the most ungainly fashion I've ever seen a person run, can be the same person who pivots as nimbly as the best basketball players I've ever seen on a court.
Walking on the River Thames | Thin Ice | Doctor Who | BBC https://youtu.be/4VOr-2K9PN4
Capaldi's Doctor was someone who brought a spoon to a sword fight in"Robot of Sherwood” and wielded it with as much agility as he did a pratfall in"Deep Breath," and with as much nimbleness as he used a piece of chalk to draw in "Listen," "The Pilot" and "Oxygen." His gestures, movement & face as much as his voice expressed the emotional tone of a scene, be it dramatic or comic.
The Doctor Fights Robin Hood | Robot of Sherwood | Doctor Who https://youtu.be/DnedB2-WoTM
I noticed that whenever Capaldi drew a caricature of himself as the Doctor, the figure was always spindly and precariously balanced.
I thought if those figures were animated, they'd run in the same ungainly fashion as his Doctor and other characters he has portrayed throughout his career. I wondered why he draws himself like that as it represents only this one odd characteristic of his physicality ~ his seeming inability to run gracefully.
Or is it his ability to run awkwardly? Perhaps it's a reminder, to himself & to us, that what we think are our faults can become our attributes, if only we can be brave enough to celebrate and embrace them. Then perhaps we will also find that we'll come out with fish in our pocket if we fall into the Clyde.
I really don't know whether there is any question I could have asked Capaldi at ReGeneration Who that he might have found remotely interesting to answer — least of all a question about how he embodied the persona of a character that is not his anymore. I suppose that what I really wanted to do is thank him and tell him that I know for sure that his pockets are always full of fish.

Jeremy Bulloch Passes Away at the Age of 75
The actor who played Boba Fett in Return of the Jedi and The Empire Strikes Back, Jeremy Bulloch passed away on December 17 at the age of 75.
Jeremy Bulloch was an English actor famous for his role as bounty hunter Boba Fett in the Star Wars trilogy. He also appeared in numerous British TV and movie productions, including Robin of Sherwood and Doctor Who.
The late actor was born in Market Harborough, Leicestershire, England. He started enjoying acting and singing after a school show at the age of five. He started featuring in Disney films, plays, and British sitcoms from the young age of ten. He then took his acting training from Corona Stage Academy. Bulloch’s first commercial was for a breakfast cereal at the age of twelve. The amazing actor played the protagonist of William Shakespeare’s play, Hamlet. He later appeared in various projects, including The Newcomers, Billy Bunter of Greyfriars School, musical film Summer Holiday, The Devil’s Agent, The Space Museum, and The Time Warrior, and many more. Bulloch was also a part of James Bond movies and in the ITV sitcom Agony.
Jeremy quickly gained attention for his popular character in the entire Star Wars mythos. His character also returned on The Mandalorian, and the audience loved his part. Irrespective of the movie’s character and the genre, the actor left an impressive mark with his incredible performance that has touched millions of hearts.
Actor Daniel Logan, who played the young version of Boba Fett in Attack of the Clones, shared a heartfelt message as a tribute to Bulloch on his Instagram. He shared his sorrow because of the significant loss of the industry and the creative world. He remembered all the teachings that the legend had shared with him. Logan said that the industry won’t be the same without him and that his great soul will always be remembered and recognized. He prayed for him to rest in peace.
Logan shared a picture of him with Bulloch and captioned it with: “IT BRINGS ME TO TEARS TO ANNOUNCE JEREMY BULLOCH HAS PAST AWAY,” Logan wrote. “RIP LEGEND I’LL NEVER FORGET ALL YOU’VE TAUGHT ME.!! I’LL LOVE YOU FOREVER.!! CONVENTIONS WON’T BE THE SAME WITHOUT YOU MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU ALWAYS,” he added.
Just a few weeks ago, the industry got the news of David Prowse’s death, who played the role of Darth Vader in the original Star Wars trilogy. Both the actors made a huge fan following for their fantastic performance.
The world has lost an icon today; our thoughts and deep condolences are with the wonderful actor’s family and friends and as a great human being.

Laura Lippman –Lady in the Lake
Just one evening with an old school friend and Maddie’s life is not what it was anymore. Her life with her husband Milton and their son Seth simply isn’t what she wants anymore and so she makes a courageous decision for the year 1966: she leaves. Now completely on her own, she wants to make real another dream: becoming a journalist and when she, by pure chance, comes across the body of a young girl and soon after again of a woman, she seizes the opportunity of her first contact with the press. It is especially the second case of the “Lady in the Lake” as she was named that turns in her mind. Nobody seems to be really care about who murdered Cleo Sherwood, just because Cleo was black. Maddie knows that there must be a story behind it and that this can be her chance to really become a reporter.
Laura Lippman’s novel is one of the most talked about books of 2019 and it only takes a couple of pages to understand why all this praise is more than justified. “Lady in the Lake” is the perfect combination of a crime novel and the story of a woman who follows her will and is brave enough to do this against all societal conventions. The setting is all but favourable for such an undertaking and Lippman’s lively portrait of Baltimore of the 1960s underlines with which severe consequences such an attitude came in these days.
The most outstanding aspect of the novel is surely the protagonist. Maddie Schwartz is the perfect Jewish housewife – until she isn’t anymore. She remembers the young woman she once was, surely a bit stubborn, but to put it positively: she knew what she wanted and she got it. So why should she be pleased with the second best life? She definitely is a bit naive, but her sympathetic authenticity is the key to the people and this makes her story convincing and plausible. Times were harsh, above all for black people and the novel gives a good impression of what this meant in everyday life. It is not an open accusation of segregation and the different kind of treatment of people of colour or even a political statement, but simply a fact and thus an integral part of what the characters experience.
I also liked the constant change of perspective and how Lippman integrated different points of view which also gives a good idea of someone like Maddie was perceived in her time. This also make the narrative lively and varied. I had some high expectations due to the masses of admiring reviews I had read, but nevertheless, the novel surpassed them easily.
