It’s not easy for Barrot to aim alright

The Octonauts were human five years ago, here they are. I made Barnacles a bit younger cause apparently he’s in his 30s in the real show but I made him 60 😭 So now hes about 50? Or 40 but looks older. They’re living through the apocalypse I think they’re not paying much attention to skin care.

Ages: Inkling (70s-80s), Barnacles (45s-50s), Kwazii (40s), Tweak (late 30s-40s), Dashi (mid 30s), Peso (Mid to late 30s), Shellington (40s)

Also yeah Tweak has THE blue eyed stare.

Finally finished this rather large project!

Been watching a lot of this fun show for a while. It's pretty fun and educational. Yeah, I know it's for kids, but who can stop me?

So yeah, here are the Octonauts in my personal art style! As you can see, they look a lot more anthro. :p

Might do the Octo-Agents soon! And maybe even the China agents. We'll see! ;3

unironically, I feel like if you need a blueprint for how to form a good group dynamic for a long form show, look no further than Octonauts.

like genuinely, they do so much right. The characters are consistent but not flat, every character has some kind of individual dynamic with one another, some are more pronounced than others but they’re all there, no character is fully dependent on another to be fully fleshed out, they’re all competent adults who are just genuinely friends who help each other out when needed and work incredibly well together within their given niches in the team. I dream to one day create a main group of characters with as much effortless synergy with each other as the octonauts

If you’re not too busy could we maybe possibly perhaps have some Tweak sketches from the octonaut au? I love her design lol

A reminder that this takes place in the 70s! (No reason for the reminder, it’s also for me).

I like her a lot, I love that she’s got a Southern accent. We don’t see that in many characters. Tweak in my AU is not too different, if a bit more down to Earth and no-nonsense, a bit harsher but still very kind at her core.

When the Extinction Crisis happened, Tweak’s family were turned into rabbits. A dark answer is because they were deemed only worthy of being prey animals for real foxes. A lighter answer is bunnies are small and fast! Good for mechanic and ranger type jobs! You pick haha.

As for the name of the AU, I’m thinking, Revival? OR give me a bit and I can come up with the name of the “Turn everyone into an animal” Protocol. Like “Gaia Protocol” or “Gaia’s Law” (Gaia being the Greek personification of the Earth. So governments would’ve introduced ‘Gaia’s Law’ to ‘save the Earth.’ (Law: Every family has to sign up and be turned into an animal.)
