In a cottage garden was this narrow petalled Leucanthemum x superbum cultivar (Shasta daisy, ox-eye daisy). This is a great plant for the border or in a meadow planting.

ケルト神話によると、神様は幼い子が亡くなると両親を元気付けるかのように地球上にデイジーを散りばめて弔ったとされていたそう。また北欧の神話ではデイジーは「新たな始まり」を意味し、出産祝いなどに用いられる神聖な花だそうです。

In this Orkney garden red flowered Crocosmia 'Lucifer' (montbretia) and a white flowered Leucanthemum × superbum cultivar (shasta daisy) alternate to create a striking late summer display.
