Harry Potter really didn’t plan on living past his fated confrontation with Lord Voldemort. When the latent basilisk venom and phoenix tears in his blood started making dramatic changes to his body, he wasn’t that concerned. It’s not like he was going to live long enough for it to be a problem anyway.

Even if he had planned to live past the final battle, then he could never have guessed the struggle awaiting him on the other side, or that he’d become a magnet for those with nowhere else to go like the snarky house elf, the grumpy phoenix, the injured vampire, or the stray werewolf that showed up on their doorstep…oh, and the egg. You can’t forget the egg; that’s the most important, more than anyone or anything else on the planet. Harry will do whatever it takes…literally whatever, even light the fire and watch the world burn, all for the sake of the egg.

20: After the Battle of Hogwarts, the wizarding world was left in tatters. Among the fallen and the wounded, Severus Snape survived Nagini's attack with the help of an anti-venom. Weakened and weary, he managed to escape the chaos, disappearing into the shadows to hide away from the world that had brought him so much pain.

For years, Severus remained hidden, his whereabouts known to no other. During this time, he immersed himself in his true passion: potion-making. He set up a small potion laboratory in a remote corner of the magical world, hidden away from familiar eyes. There, he brewed beautifully crafted potions, delving into ancient texts and experimenting with new ingredients.

Severus, once the feared Potions Master of Hogwarts, now found solace and purpose in the quiet art of potion-making. He spent his days concocting remedies for various ailments and ailments, perfecting his skills in solitude. His potions became renowned for their efficacy, whispered about in hushed tones among those who knew where to find him.

The shop became a haven for potion enthusiasts and those seeking unconventional remedies. Severus, although reserved, found a renewed sense of purpose in sharing his knowledge. His carefully crafted potions lined the shelves, each vial hinting at his expertise.

21: while Severus had a lot of turning points in his life, I feel like both his parents dying and inheriting their small and broken house was definitely a personal one for him.

22: along with lily, it was minvera; not only was she his teacher and collage but she was definitely a friend and a mother figure for Severus

Sometimes I forget how young Snape was in Philospher’s Stone, I always see people saying “17/20 years ago” when referring to Lily’s death or SWM happening. So I always immediately think of him as being in his mid thirties all throughout the books, while forgetting that he was actually 31 in the first book. Lily’s death had just occurred 10 years ago, and then he was forced to teach her child who looked exactly like the man he hated most but also had her eyes. Damn.

One of the point opening chapters of Half-Blood Prince reveals that Snape is literally living in poverty even though his school persona has suggested otherwise for five books now, and it even has characters explicitly point out and mock him for living in poverty as an adult and fans STILL refuse to bring class into discussions about him and his portrayal.

Order of the Pheonix AU where almost everything is the same except the people in Grimmauld Place stay there the whole time because they're there for protection for various different reasons to be hidden from the wizarding world until everything's safe. And have to pretend to be one big happy family to fit in.

Oh, and no magic. Absolutely no magic otherwise they could be tracked down (no I don't know if magic works that way for the sake of the plot it does)

And the house is an absolute wreck, so now they're all having to clean it and renovate it with no magic and live there with each other 24/7.

The Weaselys are there because Arthur keeps offending the Ministry and they're worried the kids will be used against them. Hermione's there because she's also offended the Ministry by being too smart, somehow. Harry's there because his existence offends Voldemort. Remus is there because his existence offends the Ministry. Sirius is there because he's offended everyone. Tonks is there because she's also offended everyone. And Severus is there because he's offended Voldemort.

And so somehow they all need to work together and try cooperate while multiple people (Severus and Sirius) hate each others guts.

Also, while they're renovating, they're finding it ridiculously hard without magic or house elf help. All except Severus, who somehow does his assigned rooms twice as quickly. Naturally Harry and Ron think he's using magic while being forbidden to do so. They spy on him...

And it turns out, Snape's just really good at painting walls. Because "Not all of us had house-elves waiting on us hand and foot, Black. Some of us actually had to get things done on our own". Aka growing up poor in Cokeworth means learning to repair everything yourself
