Lutelyre's Inuyasha Fic: vampire empire, babydoll

READ ON AO3 HERE. Well, I just wanted to write some modern AU grungy vampire angst. I am on a train that cannot be stopped, and it's fanged, neon-lit and multi-chapter; two chaps posted already!

This is multi-pairing, but faves are sprinkled in: InuKag, MirSan, SessMir (for me, yes that one is for me) and even some SessSanMir down the line, who knows? They'll all be bloody by the end for sure.

Day 4 of @inuyashapridemonth is SessMir and I continued last year’s theme of my HC that when Sesshomaru is into someone, he’s all up in their business. Miroku doesn’t mind.

i think what's appealing to me about the sesshomaru-miroku queerplatonic dynamic is that sesshomaru's total cluelessness about sex and sexuality gives miroku a space to abandon his hypersexual façade. miroku continues to perform that part of himself as a way to flirt with his wife, but since sesshomaru isn't going to have much of a response to that, miroku can just chill without pressure and they can talk about human child-rearing and how rin's doing and about their respective relationships with sango. they can also relate over surpassing their fathers' legacies which i think is Neat.

Why Violet Week?

This year, we decided to rehash the old IYPM prompts and split each theme into weeks. Our color prompts, based on the original Pride Flag, had 8 colors to 7 days, leaving Violet to spill over into our final week. Violet, the last color on the pride flag, represents Spirit – the core, heart and soul of the LGBTQ+ community. It has many names: Violet, Spirit, Free Week. Whichever you choose to call it, the notion is the same, regardless of its label. From the 22nd-30th of June, Violet Week is all about the freedom of choice being yours.
