This is unsettling to me.

Like I know deep down that the muppets are puppets, thus inanimate. But its so unnerving to see them put on a shelf like this. What do you mean Elmo doesn't have a life outside of the cameras? The film crew leaves, and Grover goes back to his apartment. Bert and Ernie have dinner. Etc. Etc.

But you mean to tell me they just sit on a shelf like that??

I have never actually thought hard about what happened to the muppets after filming, and this just made me realize that the subconcious part of my brain had just lumped them in with the rest of the living breathing human actors.
