Hiii, in regards of your “drawing requests to get the dbda tag trending” first of all that is really nice of you and thank you, and second I was wondering if you could draw payneland in like a park or some swings, nothing to difficult of course. 🙃

Why did I choose to do this on my bumpy water colour paper? I have no idea. Probably the same reason I challenged myself to draw sitting figures. Anyway bench swings are the best swings, so here you go!

surely someone’s talked about the fact that in the doom patrol version of dead boy detectives, which was also written by steve yockey, the reason that they’re brought into the plot is because the doom patrol cast’s friend Danny the Street, a sentient non-binary street who gets their energy from the happiness of their perpetual cabaret that hosts drag performances, and has throughout the show been shown to appear to lgbt people in need, shows up specifically to charles

I've had the absolute joy and privilege to draw for @dont-offend-the-bees's big bang fic, Never Fade Away, an All of Us Strangers au that is glorious and sexy and heartwarming and just absolutely devastating,, the first chapter of which is out right now!!

Summary:

Edwin Payne has been 16. Would now, in some ways, forever be 16. 16 was when his life had changed; when it had stopped. He had been a schoolboy one moment and a monster the next- all because a classmate had thought it would be funny to scare him. The problem was, he didn’t stay scared for long. Scared would have been better- dead would have been better- than the endless hell he endured for seventy years. Bloodlust, murder, unable to feel. And yet, somehow, always, 16.

Charles Rowland was 16 and Charles Rowland was a mess. After a life-time of cuts, bruises and broken bones he could never quite explain away he finally found himself rushed to hospital with hypothermia and broken ribs caused by people he thought were friends. Something inside him knew this time was different, this time was the end. And he's fucking furious about it. He's ready to rage as he leaves the world- smash the shit out of the place that never cared for him, alive or dead.

But then he met Edwin.

i would like a word with george rexstrew specifically for his delivery of "as more than a friend, i'm afraid. charles, i'm in love with you" because he isn't lying, he is afraid. he is choking on the words, his voice breaks. he is so small, which is so different from his normal "astronomically huge ego". he doesn't want to say it, but he has to, because it might be his last chance. and charles has to know.

and we get all of this in two sentences.

and to think this was his first major role.
