Hello everyone, and welcome!

We are the denizens of the wonderous world we all know and love. And we have all gathered here to speak with you! Got anything you desire to say, ask, or send our way? Do it anytime you wish, and we shall respond - through our voices! - We are voice acting enthusiasts, some of whom, you may have already heard in some Rain World fan projects. You can send anything at a character - images, art, questions, ideas, videos, whatever you wish! And the character shall react - just like in any other askblog. But the difference is not just that we use voiceovers to answer (instead of art), but that the process is fully collaborative. As the VAs of the characters all have full creative control over what they say, instead of following the standard practice of one person writing/deciding everything.

Important things to note (please read before submitting):

When you send us something, make it abundantly clear which character you're addressing. You're allowed to address multiple, or even the entire cast.

NSFW submissions are not allowed. Mildly suggestive ones are fine, but they will not get a response, if the character you're addressing has a minor as its VA, or an adult that would be uncomfortable with it.

This project is fully non-canon. VAs are allowed to use headcanons and personal interpretations when answering. It's also not really meant to be serious, so feel free to send us silly stuff :3

You should only submit things for characters that actually have VAs, as you wouldn't be able to get a response otherwise.

The person primarily running this project and blog is me, @fadebolt. If you wish to voice act a character yourself, shoot me a DM, either here, or in Discord (my name is also 'fadebolt' there, and I'm in the main RW server, so finding me should be easy). There's absolutely no limit with the characters you could ask to VA. Slugcats, iterators, ancients, echoes, scavengers, any other species... they're all available! We also aren't limiting ourselves to just the base game. Characters from Downpour, characters from mods, OCs, and non-canon characters in general are also available (though if you're planning to VA a character owned by someone else, then make sure to consult them first).

One important thing I must note is that recently, the VA for the Scavenger Chieftain, Regular Scavenger, Yellow Lizard and Black Lizard, has randomly disappeared off the internet without a trace, so their roles are now available for taking - at least until they return (if that ever happens). Do note that the Scavenger Chieftain was already taken by someone else, but the other 3 roles are still available! Just... don't ask for characters who are already taken. Asking to be a backup is fine (in fact, backup VAs would be more than welcome), but we're not stripping anyone of their role, just because someone else asked for it as well. This post will be regularly updated, with the list of all the taken characters, and their VAs. Characters who are not on the list do not have VAs, and are fully open.

Hello and happy impending December! The first Saturday of said impending month fast approaches, which means it's time for another art party hosted by my guild, Verdant Shield [VS]! I had been toying with the idea of a Wintersday themed party for this month, but since the holidays are a ways off still, let's instead kick back and take in the warm wintry vibes of the Zelechor Hot Springs!

For those who aren't familiar with art parties, they're a concept carried over from Final Fantasy XIV - in-game get-togethers for artists/writers/creatives of all types to hang out, chat, and create together! Get your favorite character/look together, head to the location, find someone that catches your eye, and create! Afterwards, everyone posts their creations in a shared tag (ours is #VSArtParty) so others can see, interact, and share! Tl;dr: the ‘goal’ of an art party isn’t to be drawn, but to draw others, and share with the community!

Time and /squadjoin information is under the cut, but will also be posted again via reblogs as the squads go up on the day of the party!

The Zelechor Hot Springs is a location that's been suggested a few times, and met this month's loose criteria for a wintry theme, so tada! It's about halfway up the West side of Wayfarer Foothills, and has a convenient waypoint literally directly at it, no mounts or funny trickery required!

The time zone weirdness from last month has now sorted itself out, so unless you're in an area where Daylight Savings Time doesn't apply, things should be back to their normal times again!

As we always do, we'll be having two parties - one on EU servers and one on NA ones - with an hour break in between, though people often jump directly from one to the other so don't be surprised to see things running late and/or starting early!

The first party will be on EU servers and begin at 9pm Central European Time (aka 3pm Eastern Standard Time or 4 hours before in-game reset). I'll be hosting on my EU alt account, so to join either /squadjoin or whisper Aemryn of Dusk for an invite.

I finally drew Mia!!! She's the sonadow fankid most like Sonic and all she wants to do is play soccer and hang out with friends, even though she could easily nuke an entire city. AITA for not saying anything when someone apologized to me?

Sorry this is going to be kinda vague because I know everyone involved is on tumblr. I'm 21, I have no idea the age of the other person involved

I am in a discord group that's kinda focused on an artist. The artist was taking suggestions for a warm up and posted the drawings to discord in a side channel. One of the other people in the server (I'll call K) responded to the art essential being like "wow ur art is so good... Could never me be lol" and the artist responded "you can do it!!". K responded to that with something along the lines of "I can't it'll take me so long to learn to draw [specific thing]". Someone else in the channel was also pretty encouraging to K, and K responded the same way to them "I've tried and I just can't draw [thing]

I don't really like it when people put themselves down to prop up someone else's work! It's awkward and demeaning for everyone involved tbh! So I responded to K with a message along the lines of "it sucks to hear but it really just takes practice! I found some books on Amazon for drawing [thing] and they really helped me get good fast by copying them"

K responded in all caps "I KNOW IT TAKES PRACTICE. IT TAKES A LOT OF PRACTICE"

Clearly I upset them with that! I get it, hearing the same thing over and over again kinda sucks. I thought I was being helpful and I was wrong! I apologized to K, and they responded that they weren't upset they just "weren't in control of their emotions" and when I didn't respond to that they apologized for 'yelling' I didn't respond to that either.

I didn't really know what to say. I didn't like being yelled at, it hurt my feelings, and it didn't feel like an appropriate response to what I sent them. so I didn't want to say "it's okay" because like. It wasn't. And I didn't want to say "I don't forgive you" because it's not that deep and doesn't really matter that much.

The conversation moved on to other stuff, but it's been lingering in my head for a while. Was I the ass here for not responding?

Unfortunately, there are rumors flying on this site (or other platforms) about copying concepts and “plagiarism” crap. So I decided to make a post about this, what is going on and what is happening.

This morning, I received a notification from a person, and they said I got my name dropped or url about copying concepts and "plagiarism". I asked who it was, and I got speechless...

I immediately appalled and got really furious. A person who messaged me said they had to deal with this situation before, and people are now running rampant with this “plagiarism” nonsense.

I wanted to message her what this fuss was all about but I remember she blocked me for a reason.

I don't want to call names, but this situation got me triggered more. They sent me screenshots for more proof...

Well, let's talk about the first render, which Chloe is sitting on the bed with a cat. She said I copied her concept without quoting her on the post. Do you mean crediting?? But the first render on the left didn't make any sense. Why?

BECAUSE I DREW A SKETCH OF HALIA WEARING SOAP'S JACKET BACK IN NOVEMBER WHEN MWIII WAS RELEASED!

Then I went to investigate more, since she blocked me on Tumblr, I searched for her Instagram account, and what did I find? She made a wip in January 2024 on her highlight.

I never really posted on Tumblr much because I was more active on Instagram. After seeing this chaos, I almost exploded from anger. "Wounds are healing, but memories never fade..." Is my idea quote which Halia said this before!! Anyway, moving on...

Now, on the right... Okay, Chloe looks like she's climbing on top of Soap (weird, I know), but looking at my drawing, Halia lying on Soap while looking at each other. THE ANGLES ARE DIFFERENT, THE LIGHTING IS DIFFERENT!! I know Chloe makes 3d renders, and that's a hard job. Me, HOWEVER, I'm sitting my ass on the chair, breaking my wrist and back to draw anatomy and yadda yadda yadda. She posted her render in February, which is on Valentine's day, I posted mine somewhere in April. Which is this:

I had this idea before and wanted to draw something fluffy, but I struggled with anatomy. Some artists draw couples like this if you can't see it clearly. It's delusional, and the rant post makes almost no sense and just sounds stupid, in my opinion. Her render is a full body, and my drawing is bust up. But the poses are different, right? If the poses were the same, that would be copying.

Hi! Wanted to let you know that I really love your take on Nano and the evolution of it through time. I also quit the whole thing for the same reasons around 2016 after two years. I was curious: what are your expectations for a healthy writing community? I've seen that a lot of people want different things and conflict happen because nobody really talks about it. The most people are willing to say is the obvious don't be an asshole (although obviously that doesn't stop some), but I rarely see people say things like "I don't want to share my writing but I do want to share the efforts of it" or "I want to talk about every details of my stories and brainstorm with others" and things like that. So what are your thoughts on it? P.S. I started following you and then I found out you're also into MDZS XD Love that!

When I think of a healthy writing community, I think about two 12-year-olds sharing their grand story ideas and their original characters that are master-level wizards at age 19 or famous detectives at 15 and the two 12-year-olds gush over each other's ideas and draw their characters and help each other come up with names and ideas and titles.

I think writing communities really thrive when people are encouraged to share their ideas and can get a positive response. There's times to critique works and times to just hype people up--and I think people really do not know the difference.

I've noticed a few, consistent issues:

Competition: I think some writers get competitive over how fast they write, how much, how often, etc. And I've been in some Discord servers when a person is suddenly getting praise or recognition, and you can tell there's tension. Suddenly people stop talking and log off. There's a lot of battle of the egos.

Different skill levels in one space: this is a big issue, though it's not anyone's fault. I've noticed that some writers in some servers are well-experienced with great writing and then other writers are beginners. It's not a big deal, really, but it does hamper feedback. Beginner writers get discouraged and overwhelmed when well-experienced writers offer more detailed critiques. And likewise, experienced writers probably aren't getting super in-depth critiques they need. Not to say people are unsupportive, but it's just not the most productive set up!

Selfishness: I'm not sure if that's the best way to phrase it, but I've noticed that often people will share their writing in servers but not interact with other's writings.

These are pretty limited to Discord which imo isn't a productive space for large writing groups anyway. But unfortunately when a lot of people move to Discord, it's hard to find a sense of community on tumblr or other sites.

But I can't just bitch and not offer suggestions so:

Keep online communities alive. We can't limit ourselves to Discord servers. Post your writing. Engage with other blogs. Reblog. Reply. Send in asks. If you're reading something someone wrote, let them know. Say something in the tags or send in an ask.

Be a hype man: We should encourage each other to continue writing--not everyone is looking for critiques all the time

Know your place: I've seen way too many people shit on ideas for events or special blogs. If you see something that you don't like, just leave it be. If you're not interested in something, it's not for you. Let the micro-communities do their thing and find their people. You do not need to be involved in every facet of the general writing community.

Post. Your. Writing. Or post stuff about your writing. It's hard to find other writers when they don't share! I can't hype up your story if I don't know about it!

I often see a lot of suggestions get vague. Like you said--"Don't be an asshole." Okay. Great. But what does that mean? And how does it get enforced in moderated communities like servers? What if the mods of the servers are assholes?

Or I see "support each other!" Okay, but we need an actual game plan for getting early-2010s level of community back. We need to bring back ask memes and character memes and ask culture. Because people back then weren't just twiddling their thumbs waiting for an interaction, there was effort put into all of it. People were designing games and events and taking time to engage with each other.

I don't think people understand that healthy communities need to be nurtured and inclusive. And this is definitely glamorizing the internet of 10-15 years ago. There's always been bullying and toxic people. But I think we could definitely build on what used to be and make something that's mature and welcoming to everyone.

I'm hoping with NaNo on their steady decline through the past couple of years really encourages people to rekindle other online communities. I think a lot of people have been nostalgic over the past few days, and a lot of people have taken the initiative to coordinate their own events. It's starting to bring back some of the unconditional support that used to exist.

So there's an unofficial Discord server for Geoff's Patrons (he's very much aware of it and totally cool with it), and last night someone said that we should've suggested Geoff do a new cover of Be Prepared from The Lion King for Halloween (last we heard, he's yet to decide on a song for this year). And then someone else presented a description of how Geoff could dress/appear for such a video and it's been living in my head all day rent-free, so now I'm sharing it with all of you (but tweaked/added onto, courtesy of me)

Geoff with black hair (or at least very very dark brown) (but still with the white-grey streak (maybe even with the streak being more prominent?)), a scar across one eye, of course, and a low-cut shirt (maybe even a slightly ragged shirt with rips in it) (sleeves optional).

I swear if it wasn't for the fact that I'm in the middle of working on a big/super-detailed fanart thing that I wanna get finished as soon as possible, I'd be so tempted to try and draw this. But maybe I'll keep it in the back of my mind and get around to it at some point after I finish my current art thing. And I'll just leave you all with the mental image for now ✌️

My therapist tells me to get out more and do activities.

For reasons not much interests me so she said I could initiate something then. Someone on my stream has suggested before a Discord server. Although it's not irl I'm starting to think it's not a bad idea. Thoughts ?

Reasons being - It's hard to get myself interested in something - In my city I don't have friends irl - Activities proposed on things like Knockk or Facebook to meet people irl don't interest me

I love niche things. Finding some drawing club/group irl, it's ok. One that's like, fandom culture focused (japanese or not)? Harder. One that's not focused on teaching and it's just hanging out and sharing our hyperfixations ? Nope.

Since highschool ended I've only socialized online. I told myself I'd try to make friends irl in my city because I was tired to only have online interactions. But eh it's better than nothing and who knows if I'll find people from my city or if we travel.

I've tried as well in the past to join online discord servers but I just can't keep up and give up after two days. Idk how the server will be, feels a bit selfish/narcissistic to make "my" server based on *my* preferences. But that's a talk to have with my therapist.

Right now I'm thinking, could be used to talk about our fandoms, share recommendations, play together, with or without vocal chat (it's intimidating), I could stream stuff, we could draw together.

One thing I also loved was art classes in highschool. We could, idk, agree on a theme, and within a time period create art in any form, then take turns to talk and share our creations.

And I'll try to organize it in a way that's easy to keep up with even if you leave for long (like myself) and easy to get included.

Gech's Server is Full of Hypocritical Losers

I wouldn't normally resort to making callout posts, because I like to think I'm better than that. Petty drama isn't something I typically find myself engaging in, but after seeing this server and the hypocrites that reside in it, and after the harassment and lies they've flung toward my friend, I've decided to go through with this 'callout'.

First things first, what started it all?

Earlier today my friend, Mira, came to me in DMs to show me that she had been added to a server blacklist and banned. I thought that was weird so I took a look.

Looking into the server I found that, not only are over half these claims blatantly false, if being used as valid reasons to ban her, then multiple other members of the server should also be banned. But they (as far as I'm aware) were not. This is unacceptable.

Let's start off by talking about what IS true, first.

Point number 3: "blocking someone based on their speculative sexuality" and point number 4: "attention seeking"

Those seem pretty bad at first glance. Especially that first one. But lets take a closer look.

The "speculative sexuality" being referred to is objectum. Someone in the server had mentioned possibly being objectum and Mira blocked them because she is uncomfortable interacting with people openly identifying with the label. She's uncomfortable interacting with ANYONE openly identifying with a paraphilia. Would the right thing to do NOT be to block them instead of starting an argument about it?

You could argue that she shouldn't care so much, but to retort that I have to ask, why do YOU care that she's blocking people she doesn't want to interact with? Is that not the point of the block button?

Let's move on to the other actually true allegation, attention seeking. Now, if you know Mira you know that she vents a lot. She rants about almost anything that upsets her. Would I, personally, count that as attention seeking? Not necessarily. BUT I can understand why most people would! The way she goes about it can come off that way. Is that enough to put her on a blacklist? According to these people it is.

When venting she uses a lot of "I feel" statements. That tends to come off as attention seeking. According to Mira herself that is not her intention, it's just how she communicates. I feel like there should've been more of that from this server to her, but there wasn't from what I saw.

Now, let's move on to the claims I believe to be not only false, but also hypocritical.

Sending overly sexualized art in a server full of minors

Now, at first glance, this accusation is terrible. Why would I defend someone willing to send art like this to other minors? I'll tell you why, don't you worry.

This server has a suggestive art channel. A suggestive art channel that is not only NOT locked behind the age-restriction filter you can turn on via discord itself, it's also a role ANYONE can grab from their roles channel.

In the rules, it mentions that NSFW is NOT allowed.

So, if nsfw isn't allowed and the server is, as admitted, full of minors, why is there a suggestive art channel?

Well, they claim that suggestive art "isn't nsfw"

And yet they allow art like this to be posted

(I have a reason to include that third one here, keep reading.)

I don't know how that is considered "not nsfw" but Mira's art is.

THIS is what the server considers porn.

Is it weird? Is it possibly even suggestive? Absolutely. But it is NOT porn, nor is it somehow worse than the art in the image above

The server thinks all of Mira's art is sexual. Let's see some more examples of her "sexualized" art, shall we?

More examples can be found on her blog.

According to one of the mods, the reason these drawings are "sexual" is the fact that when Mira draws women, she gives them big boobs.

That's it. That's the reason.

Do these people know that real people HAVE big boobs? And they aren't inherently sexual? Apparently not because they seem to think anything that isn't slim and flat chested is "suggestive art"

I'm starting to think these people don't know what suggestive art and nsfw actually is. Which makes sense, considering, like they themselves said, the server is full of minors.

But that leads us back to my point. If you don't want nsfw in the server, why do you have a channel where nsfw can be and is posted?

Let's move on to the second point given for her blacklisting,

2. Fetishistic tumblr activity

This is referencing Mira's [SFW] tickle blog. She posts and reblogs art of characters she likes being tickled.

Is it odd? Sure. Personally, I think it's weird, but it's a far cry from fetish content. It's not pornographic, the worst on there is the tentacle tickle art shown above. I think it's weird to sexualize something that she isn't sexualizing herself. If you don't think her art should be "13+", that's fair. But to claim it's porn is ridiculous and shows how immature you are. At MOST it could be suggestive, but it is NOT porn.

This actually leads us to the last point on the blacklist

5. reblogging full-on porn to her child audience.

I SEARCHED through her blogs, both her main and her tickle blog, and I could NOT find this "full-on porn" she reblogged. I can only assume they mean literally any tickle art she's reblogged. But assume is all I can do, because these people do not provide proof of their allegations.

Now, you must have noticed that points 2 & 5 relate to her activity outside the server, here on tumblr. I asked Mira and she claimed to have never given the names of her blogs, and when I checked the server I found that to be true. So she wasn't advertising it to the 'server full of minors' and she wasn't encouraging them to interact with it. So why is it an issue? Why is it her fault that people in the server had to go out of their way to FIND her blogs? Why would they do that?

Well, it seems being anti-objectum and an attention seeker isn't enough to kick someone out of your server. You have to FIND reasons and completely overreact in order to have a valid reason to ban people. Does that also include sending people to harass her? Does that also include sending people to accuse her of being a criminal? Apparently it does, according to these people.

She's out of your server. She can't talk to you anymore. Leave her alone.

What Mira has done is NOT enough to warrant this hostility and hate. If you hate her, then stop engaging with her.

Do not harass these people. Do not join the server seeking to disturb them. I joined to try and reason with them, to give Mira's side of the story, and they banned me.

Please listen to her side. This post is to make people aware that the people in this server are maliciously lying about my friend, all because she's a little odd and they don't like her.

OKAY SO IF YOU ASSUMED I DIDNT HAVE A DESIGN FOR THIS? THINK AGAIN!!! Mobian Ron is one of the stepping stones to my human Ron design(s). Although. He wasn't always a deer (yea the designs supposed to be a deer if it wasn't clear lol)

The very first instance of me trying to make a mobain Ron design (as someone who's prevuous fixation was on an au combining sonic with thsc), I had gotten an idea from a good friend of mine (hi azzie if you read this!!) He suggested some kind of lizard, since Ron's head could sort of resemble a dinosaurs head (I think that's what he said at least)

Then over time I looked at another friend of mine's interpretation on a furry Ron design (not quite mobian, but if you squint hard enough it probably could pass for a mobian design), which was a deer. Tried redesigning mine to have deer features, and over time that evolved into this.

Tbh the designs only ever used in a private rp server that the very same friend who first helped me with figuring out a mobian Ron is also in (and he's the one who muses him. He rocks at it btw. Shoutout to Azzie's Ron portrayal fr fr)

Now as for the lore of this version of ron bc I'm not sure if my handwriting in the art is clear enough...

This ron began as a folder-headed ai thing. An AI created by a couple of college students meant to be a sort of file manager bonzi-buddy thing. Over time the students began ignoring ron (right as he was gaining sentience too! The nerve.) And Ron decided he wasn't having it and just fled into the internet.

Along the way he encountered the AU's bob, accidentally got dragged into the real world with them, got a change of face, and now he lives with little man and doesn't even know if he's considered a real boy or an ai boy. But does he think about it that much? Probably not.

He also tends to spout out wiki articles thanks to leftover programming, but he's working on stopping that.

I will not summarize the lore of every Ron I post here, this is a special case because of how much history I have with the concept and how little I ever post about it.

Hey there! I hope everyone's back-to-school season has been going well, whatever that entails for them! The first Saturday of October is fast approaching, which means it's time for another art party hosted by my build, Verdant Shield [VS]! There was no poll for this one because I'm testing out a few suggested locations, the first of which is Vigil Keep!

For those who have no idea what these art parties are, they're an idea carried over from Final Fantasy XIV - in-game get-togethers for artists/writers/creatives of all types to hang out, chat, and create together! Grab your character of choice and dress them up, then find someone else whose look inspires you, and create! Afterwards, everyone posts their creations in a shared tag (ours is #VSArtParty) so others can see, interact, and share! Tl;dr - the 'goal' of an art party isn't to be drawn, but to draw others, and share with the community!

Location Details:

One of the most easily-accessible Order Headquarters, Vigil Keep is full of big open areas, but there's one specific spot just a bit Northwest of Vigil Keep Waypoint that's caught my eye as a staging area, as follows:

It's nice and open, but also has a lot of little walls and boxes and scaffolding to climb around on if you're the kind of person who likes to lurk. And also, it's completely F2P accessible and enemy-free! Also, though you're by no means obligated to do so, if you're indecisive about which character to bring to these, you should consider bringing your Vigil-affiliated ones! Thinking about this has made me realize that all mine are on an alt account though.... ;-;

Time & Squad Details:

As always, we'll be having 2 parties - one on EU servers and one on NA servers - with an hour break in between. People with accounts in both regions do tend to hop immediately from one to the other though, so don't be afraid to show up early!

The first party will be on EU servers and begin at 9pm Central European Summer Time (aka 3pm Eastern Daylight Time or 5 hours before in-game reset). I’ll be hosting on my EU alt account, so to join either /squadjoin or whisper Ashelin Falstaff for an invite.

The second party will be on NA servers and begin at 7pm Eastern Daylight Time (aka 1am Central European Summer Time or 1 hour before in-game reset). This one I’ll be hosting on my main account, so to join either /squadjoin or whisper Yui Kaiho for an invite.
