I finally drew a new mini-comic about a very kind sad boy and his pet.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I must say it was inspired by the author Petracore and her amazing heratbreaking story about Rocinante and his youth years.
I really liked the idea that Sengoku got his white goat owing to this cute boy and his kindness.
I hope the author will not mind such a reworking of her story ❤️

Fellow One Piece fans, especially fans of Law and Cora-san, guess what I just discovered...!
I probably already knew this and forgot, or maybe I just didn't make the connections until I re-watched the Dressrosa Arc, but—
Sengoku raised Rosinante.
Sengoku also raised X Drake.
But Sengoku didn't meet X Drake until the mess at Minion Island, which means...?
Perhaps it was Empty Nest Syndrome, but Sengoku chose to adopt the recently orphaned ex (reluctant) pirate X Drake on the very same island his son had just died on.
I repeat: Sengoku, in the wake of losing his only son that he had raised for the past two decades, was perfectly willing to just snatch up and adopt the very first sad-looking orphan he laid eyes on.
In other words...
What if he'd found Law instead?
※ Law may not like the Marines—for good reason—but he was willing to make an exception for Cora-san, and I think he would also be able to make an exception for Sengoku once he found out that the afforementioned marine was Cora-san's father and would be able to tell Law more about him and what he was like growing up—funny stories, anecdotes, and so on, etc, etc, etc...

Picture this…Sengoku family headcanons. You know, Sengoku, his two sons and their pet goat. Please and thank you!
Tumblr media
Hey Sis. Nice to get another random request from you. Love the random pictures you send with all your requests. This was a weird one, but I hope you enjoy it!
Sengoku Family Headcanons
Tumblr media
Oh this group
What a family they are
Sengoku gets stressed because of these boys
I mean Corazon lites himself on fire like every other minute
Or falls.
X Drake just doesn’t care
He loves Sengoku
But is annoyed by Corazon
We can’t forget about the GOAT!!!
Like the literal goat.
He is just dumb and smiley
He loves the chaos
I think Sengoku does the cooking
Because X Drake doesn’t care to do it and Corazon would just get hurt
Corazon gets the stuff off the highest shelfs
But usually falls and destroys something
X Drake takes out trash
That’s it for him
The goat just walks around being a goat.  Dumb smile and all
I think they’re that family that isn’t allowed to play board games together because they fight a lot
Corazon also tries to get them to wear matching Christmas sweaters
X Drake refuses
Sengoku agrees to it
Even the goat has one
But they love each other and wouldn’t trade each other for the world.

🏵️OP fathers day list🏵️
Hewwo, looks like I'm a bit late but happy father's day for all the dad's out there who love their kids (deadbeats Btfo we don't want you ugh) and a happy father's day for the actual one piece dilfs as well!
today i wanted to make a list for my beloved one piece papis!
Okay, let's go!
🦩 Doflamingo
i know, i know some of you are saying "ummm, who?" Yes, i agree, I'm a little biased on doffy, but hear me out. Doffy is a good dad, how? Why? The fact that he recruited kids is a bad thing, at least for irl standards, but he still cared for them, he knows that sugar is older than she looks yet he cares for her by assigning Trebol to protect her, also when he was making a toast, he gave Law, Baby 5 and Buffalo juice instead of wine. Now that's a good papi
🏰 Capone Bege
The Chad, the goat, the big father and the greatest mafioso daddy in this list, while Capone seems like a terrifying bloodthirsty gangster, he's an amazing husband and an even better father, always there for his kid, playing with him, entertaining him, and loving his wife, a real family guy!
🌊 Neptune
Cry-hoshi's (and her three brothers') father is also included in our list, yep yep! i figured that he needed to be recognized as a father more. What i liked about Neptune is that i liked how he's still loyal to his wife, but i kinda don't like how he sometimes looks weak willed, either way we Stan a mer-daddy!
🍊 Genzo
Most new OP fans may not remember him, but he's one of the Bravest civilians in one piece. He was there when Belle-mère and her daughters were attacked by Arlong and tried to defend them, making him get heavily injured resulting in his iconic scar and somewhat acted like a father figure for Nami when Belle-mère was gone (whomstdve make fun of him, he's precious and btfl 😤) he's now living his best life while following all of Nami's news and achievements.
💊 Hiriluk
Dr Hiriluk, one of the earliest father figures in OP, i liked how he went from treating chopper as a random deer, to an apprentice, to straight up treating him like his son (I'd do that too he's just super duper kyuttttte!) Sure he had his shenanigans and moments where he looked bad, but he's an overall good father figure for chopper, seeing how good he was to him and how he was the one who made him decide to become a doctor.
🍘 Sengoku
"no way, Sengoku has no kids!" ahem, did you forget that he literally adopted Corazon? We don't see much about them interacting, but from what we've seen Sengoku loved Rocinante as if he was his own child, he cared for him and would call him every now and then, and cried real hard when he died and at the end of Dressrosa when he was talking to law it felt like he held him real dear to his heart. Rocinante may have been a marine to the other admirals, but to him, he was his son.
🍳 Zeff
move over Judge, Sanji's real father is here!
He sacrificed his leg for Sanji, LITERALLY, just so the little boy won't die of hunger. And even after that, he ditched piracy and took him under his wing to teach him how to cook and be a real gentleman, he might've been harsh a little, but his heart is in the right place!
🍢 Oden
The true definition of the muscle brain trope, Oden is HUGE, kinda dum dum, he likes to goof around, extremely strong but has a soft spot for his family. He's a perfect family guy to his wife and kids, and despite all, he decided to put his family, disciples and friends at his top priorities, and that's why we totally Stan!
🏜️ Cobra
One of the OP characters that i didn't expect to be SO BRAVE for a non-fighting character. I like how he greatly cared for his daughter, but what i didn't like is how pervy he acts at times (bath scene) but other than that, he's such a beloved father, especially whenever he looked out for his daughter (along with Igaram), such a goof.
🐾 Kuma
We still don't know much about Kuma's past and his relationship with Bonney, why he chose to become a cyborg, why he's climbing the redline...etc etc. But from what Oda has shown us, Bonney loved him so much that she was willing to protect a pacifista since it reminded her of him, and ofc that speaks volumes about him.
🖤 Corazon
Ahhhhh, i remember how hard i cried during law's flashback when it first dropped in the manga, Corazon treated like as if he was his own son, he looked like an insane man at first when he kicked and beat buffalo and baby 5 (which i dunno, was uncalled for) but he's a really good father figure. He did all he could to save law, keep him entertained, made him food (they were grilling sweet potatoes in that one manga cover) and gave him all the love he needed. That is one hell of a reason for law to seek revenge against doffy!
🐋Whitebeard
Yep yep, Oyaji is here, i really like Whitebeard for how he would literally take any fatherless child (be them actually fatherless or just mentally) and make them his child. He's a VERY forgiving father as well, even when he got attacked by one of his sons, he just didn't hold it against him and forgave him. GOOOOOOOD that was sad af i cried!
🌻 Kyros
Once someone asks who's the best OP father the first person that comes to mind is Kyros. Trapped inside a toy's body, forgotten by everyone, if he tells his daughter who he is he will be thrown into the scrape heap, he had to organize a revolution. bro never took a break and ALL of this while taking care of his daughter! If this isn't one of OPs peak dad material then i dunno what he is!
And there you have it! The best OP dad's in my book!
Future dads? Take notes please!

A few low effort sketches I made this week. The first one shows Rosi and Sengoku with the shirt my aunt got me for Christmas (after I told her that I love goats). The second one is Sengoku and Rosi watching a goat documentary - based on when my mom and I watched such a documentary and we were just in awe how cute goats are (and then we discussed if it would be legal to keep goats in my parent's garden).

One Piece AU where Doffy and Rosi both Live, and not only that—they get to interact peacefully without worrying about the law or being on different sides:
(I just read a 200k fic tagged tragedy, okay—let me have this.)
In this fic, Doffy's not quite as bad—he is still a notorious pirate who is powerful and cruel, but it isn't to the point that the Marines go so far as to send Rosinante undercover to take him down from the inside, no.
In this fic, the DonQuixote brothers don't get to interact until Doflamingo is offered the Warlord position—strangely, or not so strangely—a lot sooner than he was in canon...
Could Rosi have something to do with this?
He absolutely did; He begged and pleaded and bartered with Sengoku so much...
They first meet when Doflamingo is brought in to officially accept his position as Warlord, and Rosinante nearly gets himself sautéed when he throws himself at Doffy if it were not for the fact that, one: slicing up a Marine Commander within moments of arriving would not do well for Doflamingo's goal of becoming a Warlord and gaining immunity, and two: moments before the Marine made contact, Doflamingo swore he heard his baby brother calling out his name—the voice was different, very obviously different, far deeper than little Rosi's ever was, and yet...
There was just something about it that rang true and familiar—in his chest, in his heart, in his soul—somehow he knew, could feel it in his bones, in every fiber of his being, that that was his little brother's voice, all grown up.
Doflamingo showed up alone, and thank god he did, thank god the only people around for this first meeting are Sengoku, Rosinante's adoptive father, and Tsuru, who was the one to escort Doflamingo in.
Thank god, because otherwise Doffy may have acted differently, put up a colder or more arrogant, more cruel front—but with just his baby brother and two soft-bellied Marines...
Doffy hugged back.
In this AU, Doffy and Rosi would be able to meet up whenever they want as technically-allies and neither of them would hesitate to abuse this.

I've been on law backstory brainrot and one thing stuck on my mind is the topic of lies, wrt rocinante in specific. I find him fascinating as a character and it's like - the flashback focuses on law, of course, since it's part of his story, but it's still somewhat objective. we're shown some of rocinante's inner thoughts at times. he's kinda hard to pinpoint though, in terms of overall personality. there's the little brother and son of former celestial dragons, rocinante the marine, corazón the executive, and law's cora-san.
a line that stayed with me despite the kinda goofy context was law's the most ridiculous thing about you is the only part that's true, back when rocinante first revealed his motives after learning of law's full name. rocinante is sincere but not necessarily always-honest. it's all over his character too, what with being an undercover agent. rocinante lied to doflamingo and his crew, he lied to his adoptive father/father figure, he even lied to law, denying his identity as a navy officer and insisting doffy wouldn't kill him. even so, the one person he apologizes to? is also law.
we don't really know if covert operations within the marines were always his thing or just something he did because it involved his brother. regardless, rocinante was forced to lie for different reasons: for a greater good (his mission to stop doflamingo), for law's sake (stealing the op op fruit). when faced with the brat he'd grown attached to and wished to save, he lies again, but only because he didn't want law to hate him. there's just something painfully bittersweet about it. it's a little selfish too. he didn't regret lying to his older brother. he didn't express regret over lying to sengoku, the man who'd raised him like a son, either. it's in the moment of his imminent death and the exposure he subjected himself to so that law could escape, when he voices it out - I'm sorry for lying, I just didn't want you to hate me.
rocinante was willing to make an enemy out of everyone, even the organization he belonged to and the man who'd raised him, yet it was law he didn't wish to be hated by. his last direct words to law were I love you and an apology, neither of which he received a response to. rocinante died not knowing for sure if law felt the same or if he resented rocinante for his association to the marines but he didn't need to, anyway, because reciprocity wasn't the point. he saved law because he loved him and saving him was the right thing to do, not for the D or whatever destiny awaited law in the future, just because he was a kid who'd suffered so much and deserved to live and be free. this is pretty much what law's conversation with sengoku is about, too. don't ever attach a reason to the love you've received.
on the one hand you've got rocinante who died, uncertain of whether law hated him or not, for the lies and all, hoping to be remembered for his smile. not knowing law would build so much of his self and life around his cherished memories of cora. on the other, there's law who spent thirteen years being unable to realize how truly unconditional cora's love for him was in the end, up until the aftermath of dressrosa. such a tragic duo for real.
