Kraven: I could explain to Spider-Man that my love turned into Beast and I'm hunting to find her... but I rather say we're not friends anymore and go on my way.
Me: Great plan, man!

Let's talk about Black Cat in this show.
I like how Super Serum changes her appearence a bit when she transforms. Not only her hair turns white, but she also gets taller and her frame changes. Thanks to that, even with this ridiculous, barely covering face mask she looks different enough from regular Felicia Hardy.
There also seems to be a change in her attitude. Even if technically she's working for Kingpin and she doesn't like it, there is some Catwoman characteristics when she interacts with Spider-Man.
And giving that she seemed to be interested in him way before she became Black Cat, I feel like this change is caused by the fact, she's now like him - she's a mysterious, masked person with powers. Earlier he kept on saying that being Spider-Man is too dangerous for him to be in relationship, but now, when they're both superpowered individuals, maybe she thinks that there is a chance for them to be together.

Another character I was introduced to in Spider-Man: TAS was Captain America.
But he was mostly shown in flashbacks to the Cat's backstory and Six American Warriors, which he led. And then he was stuck with Red Skull in eternal battle in another dimension.
But he showed up in other Marvel/Saban cartoons, for example, in X-Men.

I think Robbie may know that Peter is Spider-Man.
His talk to Peter seems very on point for Spidey's situation as of late.

It took episode Guilty eight minutes to get to the moment when Jameson decides to do his own journalistic investigation.
I was worried it's not this episode. And it was one of those episodes I was waiting for in this rewatch, because it showed a different side of Jameson.

I'm really disappointed with Hobgoblin and Felicia's subplot.
I feel like it's a wasted potential. Jason's relationship with Felicia could serve as a good way to flesh out who he is outside Hobgoblin's persona. The scene where Felicia learns he's a criminal could be played out more interestingly than him just threatening her if she won't marry him.
Later when they get rescued from Green Goblin and Felicia asks Jason if he ever loved her, he says that he doesn't know; that he loves "things she has", like wealth, beauty and "refinement", which indicates very shallow and materialistic understanding of love.
And I feel like they don't do enough with it. One could argue that he has such a materialistic view on things, because he grew up poor and was raised to believe that money and other material possessions makes others respectable (acquired taste and whatnot). So this could be his drive to commit crimes, dress up as Hobgoblin and even marry Felicia. For him Felicia would be a "trophy wife" - a beautiful, rich girl with acquired taste.
In all his appearances as Jason, they could give little hints about his upringing or values. And in this scene where Felicia discovers his secret identity, they could show him maybe trying to convince her about his own worth. "Hey, girl, I'm only robbing the bad guys. And look how fancy is my apartment! I'm not as big of a yonkel, as you might think!', and when she still hesitates, he could be maybe a little condescending about her status: "You don't have to worry your pretty head about what I'm doing! Besides, such a rich spoiled girl like you will never know how it is to be poor like me, so don't you dare judge me!"
There were so much they could do with Hobbie Boy and they wasted this subplot.

And now - the backstory of Robbie Robertson and Tombstone.
I remember it being one of the best epsiodes in the whole show. A more realistic and deeper ones.
I also looked differently at Robbie after that.

Oh, interesting... Like, Lotta Legs is her mother?
I kinda hope they won't forget humor from the comics. Because every Lucky Luke adventure can be high stakes adventure, if you look hard enough, but the series works well with combining serious and humorous elements.
No news about the LL live-action series but a french cinema website revealed the synopsis a while back if some of y'll are interested . Read under the cut
Lucky Luke, the legendary lonesome cowboy, must help Louise, an 18-year-old girl… as prickly as a cactus and more unpredictable than a rabid coyote. Together, they embark on a quest across the Wild West to find Louise’s mother, who has mysteriously disappeared, while foiling a plot that could change the course of American history. A thrilling adventure that explores both the past and the future of the hero who shoots faster than his shadow. Between duels, car chases, furious headbutts and unexpected alliances with the Daltons, Billy the Kid and Calamity Jane, our unlikely duo will discover that the greatest challenge is not saving America… but teaming up!

Alistair Smythe's new form feels very 90s to me.
Tumblr media
I don't know how to explain it other than this kind of design always makes me think of a few 90s sci-fi cartoons. Especially those things on his shoulders.

Some of it fills me with hope, while some of it makes me worried that it will try some of the same things Huth's movie tried to do.

But this episode introduced me to Daredevil.
I've seen Matt Murdock also in different Saban/Marvel cartoons (I remember he shows up in Fantastic Four and even has a talk with Alicia about how blind people see more), but I always connected him with Spider-Man.
Like, Spider-Man/Peter Parker is one of Matt Murdock's more famous clients, and Daredevil worked with Spider-Man on a few occasions (I'm not even sure if the first ever crossover between Spider-Man and another Marvel character wasn't with Daredevil).
But you know, for years I thought that Spider-Man's archnemesis was Kingpin. It was only in the Ben Affleck movie when I've realized that he's actually Daredevil's.

Spider-Man: *saves Silvermane*
Silvermane: We have to destroy Spider-Man!
Spider-Man: *saves Alisa*
Alisa: *shoots Spider-Man*
Peter: *saves Wilson Fisk*
Wilson Fisk: Peter Parker will be a perfect scapegoat.
THERE IS TRUELY NO HONOR AMONG THIEVES!
At least in Homecoming when Spider-Man saved him/his neighborhood, Vulture and Prawler showed some fucking decency.

So let's talk about Norman and Harry's Polish VAs.
Harry was voiced by Piotr Adamczyk and it was probably one of his earliest roles (as I am aware). He has very characteristic voice but today he's more of a live action star. There was a time when he was in almost every Polish romantic comedy and he even played a pope John Paul II. But you all may know him from Hawkeye, where he played a memeber of tracksuit mafia, Tomas. He also have a different role in MCU - in Polish dub he voices Scott Lang.
Anyway, back to Spider-Man: TAS.
Norman Osborn is voiced by Tomasz Marzecki. As we know from Sam Raimi's Spider-Man, when Green Goblin takes hold of Norman, his voice gets different. I would say that Marzecki's Norman is very dignified and serious, while his Green Goblin is mocking and has a very high, creacky voice. You can still somewhat make out that this is supposedly the same person, but the difference between them is like night and day. And when Norman gets unmasked and yells for Spider-Man to give it back, the tone of his voice makes it hard to say if it's Norman talking or still Green Goblin.

And so we've got to the episode that introduces Green Goblin.
Took them long enough... but I'm glad. He's one of my least favorite Spider-Man villains. I dislike him almost as much as I dislike the Joker.

For some things you have to grow up.

I was going to say that the scene where taxi drivers inform Mausie about where Spider-Man and Doctor Octopus are going, is in similar vain like that scene in The Amazing Spider-Man where constuction workers move cranes in a way that Spidey has a clear swinging path to where the Lizard is...
But most of those taxi drivers don't do it to help Spidey, but because Mausie told them that someone will pay double to see Spider-Man. So this kinda ruins the "ordinary people helping Spider-Man" moment.

One of the best parts of Make a Wish is when Spider-Man explains to Taina how web-shooters work.
When I saw it for the first time, I was amazed especially by the explenation that Spidey needs to push it in certain way, so he won't shoot webs while holding something. For me it was a very practical, very smart design choice that really showcased that Peter Parker is an intelligent guy who thought out about everything.
