People feeling confident to talk shit about pirates and navy. Whether because they finally have a voice to express themselves or because they can be a dick with no consequence.

Trans, nonbinary and gay in the world of One Piece

I know it's not canon and that many people will disagree with me, but! I feel that the world of One Piece is more accepting of trans, nonbinary, and gay people. Like characters like Bentham, Yamato, and Ivankov but hardly anyone comments on it or says anything. And as if it seems logical as if in a world so weird with devilish detail that you will be allowed to shapeshift into almost anything you can think of, being trans or nonbinary doesn't seem that special, and even though I have no proof of the gay part of it it still works on the same logic. Some people will agree, but only partially, and say that pirates or people in the revolutionary army will be more accepting when it comes to these things, and I agree, but I don't think the Marines will care that much, just pirates tend to be more restrained and understanding, but not by much. And besides that, not every world has the same problems. Like the world of One Piece has enough problems and bad things that happen in it and homophobia doesn't need to be one of them.

By the end of this hyperfixation just so i know what is the best part of the ship to hang two little kids after they cant seem to take No for an answer. Ill be apprenticing with Tom for being a shipwright.

And No Rayleigh, I dont know why the boys are hanging from the mast.

Communication System and aftermath from it in One Piece

Ok I decided I will make it for One Piece Fanfic writers who, as me myself, had to be perfectly accurate to the realities of the world in one piece.

People rely on spoken and written way of communication, as so it comes to calls and letters, but, despite of how easy you might think it is, in one piece it's quite hard. Especially for pirates.

There are two common mistakes while writing something what requires communication on what myself got caught when I later checked if it's even able to do: Letters and range of Den Den Mushi calls and broadcasts.

If you want to know anything about your friend or family member who is a pirate there are only prays that they have a wanted post or were noticed by a journalists and it is not due to a death of theirs. Otherwise? There is nothing else what they would send else.

They don't have a post system through which people can send letters.

Letters

Due to that if you have a letter to send outside the island or archipelag you have two options:

Marines If you're a marine or civilian you can without any worry in your heart send letters through giving it to marine to bring it to the recipient if their ship is heading there/it is an important document or letter. It is mainly an inside Marine thing to send important correspondence, civilians here mostly must be a member of family/a friend of a marine member to get a privilege to do so. Or just have a cool marines on your island to do so.

Messenger Personally or not. If you want to get your message safely to the recipient you need someone to bring it there, but it's always risky if place is under protection of marines. Best way is to give it to someone who is a navigator in a move if the person you send a letter is not on their next stop.

By far we got only Ace cover story and Rockstar delivering Shanks' letter to Whiteboard as examples of any letter deliveries outside marine, where those are hard to register/I remember those but forgot when it happened.

Den Den Mushi

For this I send you to the wiki site of them where each brand is described, but here I will short tell/explain each with where and when it can be used and be handy:

Black Den Den They are used mainly by Marines and Revolutionary Army to spy on normal calls when it is not attached to the White Den Den. Marines controls by that calls of pirates as well, knowing where to expect what pirates and so. More dangerous pirate or persona, more dangerous it can be spied from the nearest marine's base.

White Den Den It is an attachable snail what hides the call signal so Black Den Den can't hear it. Cool, but those are really hard to find. Only known owner of one is Dragon so good luck.

Baby Den Den Those are those small what fit in a standard human hand easily. They have a basic island range, and so their call is as well harder to catch on since the signal is really short. They are mostly used as microphones or walkie talkies. Very useful but still, better be careful if there is still a marine base on the island etc.

Normal Den Den Depending on the size and dial in it range might be different, but it is circa in an ocean range, better dig into it and range might be longer. On the East Blue, mainly bigger islands or rich towns, if there was no Marine base, had anyone with it, rather richer people or people with their own locals.

Conclusions

If the pirates are talking about curtain meet up or thing, marines start to get ready to do a move so it's always good to have on mind to give more realism to the world to have that on mind.

More secret or spy-like nature of the crew/organization, if they are not under protection of WG or Marines rather should be prepared for any outside calls.

Civilians and Pirates are rather forgotten to freely talk if the island is not under protection of that pirate crew. If neighbors or just people from the island will notice contact between two, or marines who have base near will notice that the crew is visiting curtain island way too many times, pirates might get caught at some point. Disclaimer here: Shanks was using that Garp is on the duety and no Marine appears on his home village through that time. Keeping an eye on details like those are quite important if you want to menage safety for your crew.

Calls between Marines, especially from higher-ups, are protected by the protocols and codes.

When Marine ship gets near the base, the base calls the ship from automate, catching the contact with it without even need to roll the number, to get the number of the ship, fleet, and entry code to get to the dock. Similar is when the gates of justice are needed to be opened to leave, protection there is on a higher level because of the places it protects.

To send someone to give specific person a letter you must send them with at least two things: - vivre card of recipients - vivre card of sender or - eternal pose to the island of recipients where they live/wait - eternal pose to the island of sender where they live/wait Despite if the messenger is a navigator or not, if the lands are not known by them, coming back or even finding their way back to their group will be much harder without it.

Fun idea is that you can create a crew specialized in being messengers! Be the one who do the god's work.

Everything said about letters is the same with packages! Have your own postman!

Revolutionary Army, due to Karasu's abilities, they can send between each other and their allies messenger crows.

Same goes to Nefertari family and Alabastra royalty and nobility have their messenger ducks.

Fishmen and mermen can communicate with fish, and as so they might use them sa messenger fish.

My idea what I use with snipers or characters like Katakuri or Garp: If you can shot or throw really strongly and precisely, you can literally send by that way a message! Put it into the cannonball and woosh! In a bullet? Easy! Metal envelope? Even smarter and better! I personally use for snipers with strong grip metal envelopes or pop up messages in long bullets what pop up by the impact. For Usopp messages hald in a big bullet to bloom together with the bullet by the impact! Ofc u can use all those ideas freely!

One Piece Treasures: Father! Roronoa Zoro Headcanons

For my little sister! I spent hours working on this! Please enjoy! Dokusha aka Y/N is called Shimotsuki here! The name is referencing Shimotsuki Kuina, the friend that basically shaped Zoro

Just a single set of unfortunate circumstances landed you, a abanonded helpless nameless eight-year-old, in the custody of the one and only Pirate Hunter, Roronoa Zoro

Do you think Zoro is a bad parent? Hope not, because he isn’t. With the way he treats Luffy, he is, without a doubt, a very dedicated and accomodating figure

Overprotective is his middle name. The Thousand Sunny became childproof in mere seconds. All the sharp cutlery and tools, replaced with plastic replicas. All of the Crew’s stock of booze and cigarettes, over the deck in no time.

He can’t stand anybody talking down his cute little swordswoman but keeps all his fury bottled up. Lashing out in front of you will make you cry and Zoro doesn’t want to hurt or scare you so he becomes really good at keeping himself composed for longer periods of time

Zoro’s responsible and surprisingly well-equipped for parenthood. He cuts down his aggression and knocks off the swearing around you. His sense of organisation also jumped, he can look after your stuff alongside his excellently

Zoro has been teaching you his three-swords style. You need to be able to defend yourself when you grow up. It’s not like Zoro will sit down and let threats harm his daughter but he won’t be around forever to protect you

He gets a lot of shit from Nami for letting you handle his katanas. What’s the issue, woman?! He is always watching over you! He will make sure you don’t cut yourself, that being because Zoro will never let you out his sight

Off the grand high seas and at new islands, you sometimes have to deal with mean children and lose fights to them. Thankfully, Zoro will be there to shoo them away, cradle you, wipe away your tears and make you feel better

“Don’t worry, my little Strawberry. I’ll give you my katanas to deal with them next time, okay?”

Aunt Nami spoils you rotten. She takes you to play as girls, to go “shopping” and braid your cute hair! She barks a lot at Zoro for “not treating you like a child”

“Swords?! Are you moronic?! It seems like you’re trying to kill her! She’s only eight!”

“Relax! She can take care of herself and I’m literally right here!”

Zoro got you a carbon copy of his earrings so you’d match with him. He can’t help but feel his heart melt as you wave one of his sheathed swords around on the Poop Deck and yell “I’m trained by the best swordsman ever! I’m Tsuki Zoro!”

Zoro also got you a really cute kimono styled like his! You’re actually the biggest daddy’s little princess ever as you eventually end up matching him in many ways

Zoro is a affectionate father. He loves giving piggybacks, holding you on his hip, he sleeps with you cuddled to his chest, he gives you cheek and forehead kisses all the time. Zoro is especially affectionate after finishing a mission or a duty and returning to the Thousand Sunny as to make up for worrying you and/or not bringing you along

Zoro prefers that you stay on the Thousand Sunny as you’re safer there than with the adventuring crew. You have came along more than once against Zoro’s wishes but having you around raises Zoro’s defensive nature, he hisses at anybody who seems too friendly with you

“I’m sorry for being mean to that kid, little Strawberry. I just don’t trust any of these villagers. Could you stay with Daddy, please?”

Zoro can come back to the Thousand Sunny VERY injured and he will gladly give you piggybacks and/or shoulder rides to make you smile. Your happiness is his fuel and you’re his top priority

Uncle Luffy is your favourite caretaker but Zoro’s biggest headache. Zoro is still quite the overprotective dad and Luffy’s recklessness with you is stressing him out. Fun fact; Luffy got you a straw-hat charm bracelet for your first birthday with the Strawhat Crew! He thought it was cute

“Luffy! PLEASE, be careful for once! Shimotsuki’s too young to be playing up so high!”

“Strawberry! Come here! Give Daddy a hug! What happened? …What?! Uncle Sanji ignored you?! Here, go play with Uncle Luffy. Daddy needs to go talk to Uncle Sanji”

Cut to poor Sanji tied-up to the lookout tower with his mouth gagged as Luffy carries you out from the captain’s bunk to see the pretty waves. When you noticed Sanji, you pointed at him and asked Luffy about it

Zoro cries almost hysterically everytime you successfully perform a move from his three-swords style. He is so proud that he wants to scream it out to the seven seas

“That’s my girl! Go, little champion! Just look at her! …She’s on her way to be the best swordswoman”

Zoro’s crying with Luffy doing his best to comfort him whilst you bounce over to your father and happily babble about that you just performed a move without his help

Zoro is quite emotionally attached to you. To think, he was grossed out by the idea of parenting but in a few months, it all changed. Now, he can’t bare to imagine scouting these grand seas without his little strawberry

Zoro goes murder mode everytime any of the crew’s enemies manages to land a hit on you. You got that small left cheek scar from a Assassin out for Luffy’s bounty and Zoro had to be pinned down by his own team so he wouldn’t dice the assassin into crumbs on the spot

“Little Strawberry! Did that bad man hurt you? what a cut… Aww, go to Aunt Nami, she’ll look after you. Daddy and Uncle Luffy will take care of that bad man but quickly, give Daddy a hug. I’m so sorry I couldn’t stop that, love”

NETFLIX. LIVE ACTION VS ANIME

I have said it before I don't trust Netflix or their adaptation of one piece... its the dreaded curse of the live action movie adaptation and I witnessed the horror massacre that was Dragonball Evolution.. I have such a sinking feeling....

In a previous post I stated the Marines uniforms to be utterly insulting for THE military force of the one piece world...

So here is a comparison WHO WORE IT BETTER.... ACTORS VS COSPLAYERS and I think this might surprise or not.

Currently so many puff pieces of articles are flying around calling Netflixes live action adaptation the curse breaker of anime to live action movie/series however this remains to be seen.

I personally believe you should leave live action versions of animes to cosplayers. And quite frankly its very much a situation of what you bought on WISH vs WHAT YOU GET .

And I know the caps worn by the cosplayers aren't 100% accurate either but very much they fit and are looking to sit tight on the head. Have you ever been at sea or out with a boat 🚢 if your cap doesn't sit tight the wind blows it off in no time.

And if you think I pick on the Marines only nope I don't I find Nami looks rather cheap too with that wig and yes orange has been done before and better check out this.

Which set of hair looks more natural with orange hair.

Overall we will see what 31. Of August brings we know Netflix is in trouble and the one piece fandom is split about the live action series.
