it’s so hard to function sometimes, when your parents get on your case for not hearing them call (because you are trying to focus on one sole thing and you have to purposefully ignore the world around your and wear headphones ect to pay attention to the point it’s accidental and a subconscious thing) but when you try to be better and start responding to the littlest things just to be better, they get on your case and tell you to stop even though that’s the one thing they want you to get better at
