Double good news!
My 6-month PSA test result just came back from a blood draw taken this morning, and it is < .06, which is considered undetectable!
I haven't mentioned this before, but the reason this is a big deal is because when I had my surgery, the lymph nodes below my abdomen could not be biopsied due to a large mesh placed there during a Hernia surgery years ago after a prior Hernia surgery had failed. Any rise in my PSA levels could indicate a return of the cancer or reoccurance. Sure, my surgeon said the area looked good, but that's not exactly microscopic science! Definitely, this news is good news and removes a bit of weight off of my shoulders!

I am getting in shape again!
After Prostate Cancer threw me a curve ball and dramatically curtailed my exercise regime for the past 8 months, I have now slowly begun to rebuild my cardio conditioning and strength.
After getting back home from our trip to Croatia, I have been able to start riding on the road again without fear of irritation or pain in-between my legs from contact with my skinny racing seat on my road bike. I'm not quite back to the level of conditioning I had prior to March when everything went sideways, but then again, not too far off from it either!
Yesterday's hike at over 10 thousand feet of elevation, was further proof that I was progressing as I was speed hiking the whole way up and down except for brief breaks to take a few photos. HR was into mid 130's and only occasionally peaked above 145!
I am happy to report that maybe, just maybe, there is life after cancer!

Unofficial Banksy Exhibit in Barcelona
Yes, we pretty much figured it was unofficial as soon as we saw it, but we had an hour to kill before we needed to catch a bus back to Allela where we were staying with friends...so why not! I took a fair number of photos but this is the only one that I'm willing to publish on my tumblr.
