Soul Eater shadowvanilla au where PV is the meister and SM is the weapon... They have such a strong soul resonance but struggle to get along so no one understands their team up hehehe :3

I feel like sm would be a scythe and pv would be like "wh-no! I can't use this, I refuse to hurt others"

And sm is just like "think of it as mercy! Every cookie crumble eventually anyway!"

Ok I know you probably already figured out alastor's role in your soul eater hazbin hotel au, but im just picturing him as like the Excalibur of the au.

This ask is so fucking funny, I laughed for like half a minute over the mental image and had to draw it. I actually already had him planned to be like the Masamune(Tsubaki's brother) of this AU, but sure why not!

So if you're not familiar with Soul Eater, in this AU Alastor is a cursed blade that's kinda like a parasite to his meisters. He feeds on the soul of the people who use him and takes control of them. He has stitches on his clothes and mouth as a reference to the fact that he puppeteers his meisters, wrapping his strings around them, similar to how you need to have the chains of his blade wrap around you to use it.

He's generally against the academy cuz, duh, he's got a rotten soul, but he also has a personal vendetta against Lucifer and his students because his mother was a witch and it was one of the Death Scythes who ate her soul. He regularly eats witch(and human) souls to get stronger though.

Husk and Nifty are the Free and Elka counterparts, a werewolf werecat-witch duo who are under a big bad's command. (They're a cat n mouse? Get it? Alright...) Alastor is perfectly capable of fighting by himself, but he finds a certain kind of satisfaction in having a meister under his control. A human is certain to die under prolonged partnership with him, so he has non-humans like Husk and Nifty use him when he's not in need of a snack.

1st pairing Leo & Usagi

Leo and his brothers were artificially created to eventually become Kishins, but Splinter (a death scythe) saves and raises them. Because of his origins, Leo's meister was chosen by Splinter to reduce the possibilities of his black blood developing. Usagi was born and raised by his aunt and grandfather because his parents were consumed by a kishin egg when he was little. His father was a powerful meister, one of the best, despite that, Usagi had no intention of becoming a meister or enrolling in DWMA. When his grandfather was approached by Splinter to help his with his peculiar situation, he demanded Usagi to continue his father's legacy and become Leo's meister.

Their dynamic

Leo actually cares very deeply for Usagi but doesn't want to admit it. Between them everything is a competition, it's actually annoying for the people around them. They usually bicker a lot but know when things need to be taken seriously. When they start arguing, it takes a miracle for them to stop. They would have a mental breakdown if they were separated for more than 3 seconds. Both of them are still dumb af and together are the pinnacle of ADHD

(Yes, they become lovers at the end who do you think I am?, I bet Usagi proposes when Leo finally becomes a death scythe)

so i came up with a death note soul eater au

the plot ⬇️

- light (a meister) is the top student at DWMA and a battle strategy prodigy. but he can’t find a good weapon

- L (a weapon) is also a battle strategy prodigy. he works independently from the DWMA with Watari as his meister. they fight evil on their own but sometimes the DWMA asks for their help because they’re so boss at hunting people down

- light devises a plan to make ragnarok (ryuknarok. in this au.) because he wants to make a death scythe but no weapons at the DWMA are on his skill level. he knows the risks of the black blood and creates it anyway

- the madness gets to him so light kills a bunch of people HE deems as evil (even though they mostly aren’t) with ryuknarok. so the DWMA calls in L and Watari to hunt him down

- they battle it out for a LONG TIME because both of them are crazy talented in battle strat (watari included) and somehow match every single one of each others moves. eventually L/Watari win and capture light

- they figure out how to separate light from ryuknarok (though the black blood is still in light. so he’s still a little crazy)

- L knows this, but he also did research on Light and knows how good of a meister he is (and knows he’s a prodigy like him). and after seeing light fight he’s like… 1. i can’t let this guy back out on the street. he’s insane and volatile. 2. don’t want to kill him he’s too smart it’d be a waste 3. He’s amazing in battle and the only person who has ever given watari and I a challenge. SO L makes a deal with him and instead of light getting locked away, he can be L’s new meister. so L can keep him in check. (but mostly because L wanted him sooooo bad)

- they become a death scythe very easily and everyone hates them for it. everyone also hates them for being too powerful (their soul resonance is unheard of) and for being the DWMA’s most obnoxious staff couple
