Scionic Cycle: The Pact new release
What is this? The latest book in my Scionic Cycle series just dropped?
Scionic Cycle: The Pact is now available for Amazon Kindle. A paperback version is in the works.
Wan struggles with his PTSD from Oddrisc taking over his body. After torching a barracks and a temple in his sleep, he leaves for the Hi'umajra Plateau. It is a valley tucked away between two mountain ranges that is devoid of all magical qi. Wan hopes that this lack of qi will make Oddrisc and the nightmares go away. While there, he comes across three refugees fleeing violence in Yaosai Jin. The locals become hostile to the refugees and attempt to lynch the trio. Wan steps in to stop them and becomes a wanted man in the process. Can Wan escape the valley with the refugees? Can he escape Oddrisc and find inner peace?

The Legend of Korra. I was inspired to write a trilogy. The idea. What if the next Avatar was trans and Raava had a problem finding them because of the dysphoria. The person who was seen as the Avatar was Vaatu's Dark Avatar. Change some info and it's my own. Scionic Cycle: A New Aeon series.
Star Wars. Laser swords in space. And I hate the nerdbro gatekeeping. Everything is awesome and terrible at the same time. Stop harassing actors and creators because you disagree with someone. Shut up.
The Dragon Age series. It's like playing a fantasy book. Even if the gameplay is rote at times, the story is engaged. DA: 2 story is the best.
Fallout series. I've put a few hundred hours roaming the wasteland in Fallout 3, New Vegas, and 4. I can't stop building settlements and siding with the Minutemen.
Im working on a side project I'll unveil later but for now please tell:
What are some of your favorite books/movies/TV shows/media that had an impact on you you still feel to this day?
I'll go first:
Hawksong and the den of shadows are 100% why I write shapeshifters. These were the books that introduced me to the idea that shifters could be more than just werewolves
Dragonball Z was the foundation of my drawing style and while it has evolved into something uniquely mine you can definitely still see the roots of it especially when I just hang out a quick sketch
Stevonnie from Steven Universe was the first time I saw a nonbinary character that actually made me go "oh shit it's me"
Reading so much Anita Blake has absolutely impacted my writing style on a granular level like how I structure sentences and how I slow a scene down with sensory details when I want to make my reader really fucking sit in a scene
So basically: what are the media influences that make up your DNA?

I'm alive!
The pandemic really did a number on my creativity. I've had a book loaded, waiting for a final edit for 2 years. But dealing with this garbage makes fussing over grammar small.
That said, I've done the final edit. Now I need to create the cover art and hit publish.
To borrow a quote:
But a story is never late, nor early. It arrives precisely when it means to.
Scionic Cycle: The Pact

I've written a trilogy inspired by Avatar the Last Airbender that is about a Chosen One being mind-controlled and his friend trying to save him. No, wait. There are two chosen ones. And the second is a trans man. The 2 ace characters date. 2 women marry. And they all help each other with their PTSD.
Scionic Cycle: A New Aeon
These were the first books I've ever written and took 5+ years. I didn't think I could do it. One page at a time with rests for however long it took.
Not to sound obnoxiously optimistic but I don't believe people when they say they don't have any talents. I feel like everyone does but many people are conditioned to think of themselves as less than if it's not a traditional talent like art or singing or sports or something. A talent can be literally anything and if you're reading this I'm sure you have one

Just to show you how aromantic and asexual I am, I released 2 fantasy novels in Valentine's Day. They aren't romance books.
Scionic Cycle: A New Aeon: Life was published 5 years ago.
Two rivals are forced to work together. One is the Scion, the reincarnation of the previous Scion. He is the chosen one who has access to all known magic. The other is a martial arts master with a chip on their shoulder. Will they be able to work as a team to take down a cult? Will they find out who is behind the mysterious disappearances in Attla City?
Scionic Cycle: A New Aeon: Death was 4 years ago.
Wan, Tupilek, Aloma, Fen, Sun find that he wasn't acting alone. With information from the temple, they set off to Fen and Wan's birth islands to uncover more secrets. Can they stop the terror behind the mind control? All five struggle with PTSD as they dig into this mystery. Wan is experiencing horrible migraines. Tupilek went home to deal with depression. Aloma talks about her recovery. Fen built a new arm to replace the one they lost. Sun's struggles with a spirit who haunts her dreams. Can they come together to support each other?
The trilogy finished with Scionic Cycle: A New Aeon: Rebirth, but that was an October release.
Following the immediate aftermath of the Northern Zephyr Hub Massacre, Wan finds himself under the control of the ancient spirit Oddrisc. Oddrisc has Wan trying to free the giant skeleton spirit, the Gashadokuro. Sun’s spirit awakens in the Spectral Realm, separated from his body. With his connection to the ancient spirit Nymaroh, he needs to find harmony with his body, unlock his chakras, and stop Oddrisc. Can Wan fight through Oddrisc’s control and save himself? Will Sun be accepted as he transitions to his true self? Will Oddrisc release the Skeleton? Can Sun save Wan and stop Oddrisc?

5 years ago, I asked myself, what if the next #Avatar was #trans? I now have 2 books published and a third one in editing.
The Scionic Cycle trilogy follows Wan, the Scion, and Sun as they uncover who mind controlled Wan and why.
It stars an asexual trans man, his autistic ace genderqueer partner, a butch lesbian, and 2 cishet men (if you only have 1, it's tokenism. And we can't have that.)

Scionic Cycle: A New Aeon: Trilogy
The Scionic Cycle trilogy stars an asexual main character and his demisexual, autistic, genderqueer partner. Written from the voice of an asexual, aromantic, agender person, AEthryos has infused ace positivity into the story.
Scionic Cycle is a series that asked, What if the next Avatar (from AtLA/LoK) was transgender? Three books later and we have diverse cast of queer characters supporting each other as they save themselves.
Each book is available on the Kindle app or paperback.

I wrote a series with an ace, trans man (Kun) dating an ace, nonbinary person (Fen). Scionic Cycle: A New Aeon is inspired by Avatar the Last Airbender. Kun is an egg in book 1, realizes he's trans late in book 2, and transitions as part of his heroes journey in book 3.
Mind control is a main plot point. Alcohol drugs are obstacles. But the resolution has a wlw wedding and Kun and Fen low-key married without a ceremony.
Does anyone have any kind of t4t rep likes in books or movies or something?

Scionic Cycle: A New Aeon: Inspiration
5 years ago the thought in my head was “What if the Avatar was trans?”
Wrote fanfiction about the next Avatar
Started with trans woman main character
Where are the trans men in pop culture? MC is now a trans man
Possible because Korrasami is canon
Narrative choices
I wanted characters like the people around me
Lots of queer people
I am surrounded by trans/non-binary people, queer people, autistic people, asexual people
I really wanted to show that we are people with wants, needs, hopes, and desires
It’s a fantasy story, not a queer story

I have 2 novels with a third out for editing. There are 2 asexual characters, Kun and Fen.
Fen is autistic, demisexual, and genderqueer. They are dating Kun in B2 and 3. Kun is an ace, trans man.

Two rivals are forced to work together. Wan is the Scion, the reincarnated spirit who has access to all the elemental magic. Sun is a martial arts master with a chip on their shoulder. After Wan is mind controlled, they search for the cult behind an attack. Will they be able to work together to take down the menace?

Scionic Cycle: A New Aeon: Rebirth (WIP)
Scionic Cycle is a series inspired by Avatar: the Last Airbender.
🌹 ’ s Recs: Non-binary Aces in Novels
This feels like an incomplete list of characters because I can only thing of two nonbinary ace authors adding them into things. So if you know more canon nonbinary aces in fiction please let me know.
RoAnna Sylver: They/She
I don’t remember how exactly I meet RoAnna Sylver. Some cross section of disabled non-binary ace novelist twitter. Their newest is a choose your own adventure app game called DawnFall.
Their non-binary aces are Zilch, Wren, and Rowan all in the Chameleon Moon series. I’ve read one and an half, two, books of this series? It’s a huge book with people stuck in this not so great place and how their importance to each other encourages them to keep going until things are okay. Huge cast of characters, very diverse.
Rose Sinclair: They/Them
Wait, that’s me. My non-binary aces are Charlie from Bone Diggers. There’s other nonbinary aces in the book because the character’s Charlie plays matches their labels. The paperback version of Bone Diggers has an extra chapter featuring Charlie’s pov of my what happens after the book. And Hello World’s main protagonist is Scott, the first book talks about asexuality and just casual non-binary acceptance so you’re going to have to trust word of god until I get my rights back for book two. Which features two non-binary trans people discussing it which is a scene I’m dying to have on page.
