Armored Lady Monday
you may or may not know this about me, but i really like when character designs are really bulky on one side of the body, and very straightforward on the other side of the body
and i havent drawn a sci-fi looking armor in so long i figured id try cus i feel like lifting legs like that would need aid from sci-fi technomagic
you can check out full res and more on my patreon!
Also let me take you into a bit more intricate design i liked about this one in particular, when i was designing the legs i thought about making chicken legs like a lot of mecha, but with human joints that wouldnt quite work.
So i opted for a more propulsion and impact reduction base, her feet would reach just about the ankle (where the little triangle is on the lower leg of the armor) so shed have up and down movement of her feet, but all the bottom of the actual contraption is built of is purely for impact reduction. If look, the leg that is planted on the floor, the space between the blue feet guard and the "hooves" is lower than the one that she has raised.
And the other bit is the turbines on the ankle and back of the knee, i like to think that since those get really heated, whenever she has to use them for movement, the inner thigh bit closes fully (instead of having the gray metal bit inside showing) for them to move the turbines outward and connect them to the fuel source, aswell as initializing the cooling process, and this depects something along the lines of her just comming out of her running mode and the steam is the heat distribution of the engines.
And finally! the things on her wrists are for laser daggers of course

*juli awakes… her head hurts…. She sits up to see what looks like a full miniature crane. It is lifting up a bed tray with soup on it slowly up.*
[your up. Soup will be there in a moment]
*juli waits patiently as the mice deliver her breakfast in bed.*
“Thank you”
[no worries, metal winged one told us to do this.]
“Who?”
[oh you don’t know? Metal one named AMU has grown wings.]
“What!”
“Yes… a few things has happen since you have been out. You guys can leave now”
[right away ma’am!]
*the mice leave taking there crane with them*

Voidborne Singularity
In unspeakable realms beyond, where physics is music and the mesh that underpins reality dreams of fathomless lights, the stars live and die, and when their corpses refuse to rest, the Singularities rise.

Giving this part its own post.
Another tip: Let your fucking characters become disabled over the course of the story! If they get their fucking leg chopped off, even if it gets magically fucking reattached, there should be fucking evidence that they lost the fucking leg in the first place! Pain! Reduced sensation! Trouble moving it! Anything to fucking show that the injury fucking happened! Otherwise you just fucking did that to them for no point but to cause cheap, meaningless drama! That's just shit fucking writing!
I don't care if there's magical healing in your universe. I don't care if it's a Super Scifi Future and your character is a robot. (Yes, I am looking directly at The Murderbot Diaries!)
Getting a brand new fucking arm attached after the first one got blown or ripped off should still have physical fucking symptoms! The character noting that it's a different weight from before and constantly being distracted by this! The new arm has faster or slower reactivity to its attempts to move it! Having to learn anew how to do basic shit with a whole new system! Having to try and work with technology that's not actually compatible!!
If your characters receive massive injuries, let those fucking injuries have permanent effects. Stop fucking acting like being disabled is the worst fucking fate imaginable.
And if you don't want your characters' massive traumatic injuries to result in them being permanently disabled........don't fucking have them sustain massive life altering injuries. It's that fucking simple.
By handwaving this shit away and magically fixing everything back to normal, not only are you being ableist as fuck, you're just being an absolutely shitty, lazy writer.
Let your fucking characters become disabled over the course of the story. Your fucking audience will thank you for giving a shit about not only continuity and stakes, but disabled people.

Repurposed my Callidus assassin design from Kassidy's Warhammer AU into my own setting! She is forced to be a corpo-assassin at some point and she hates every second of it. At least rock bottom has cool drip.

Summary
When reality starts to crumble, bit by bit and piece by piece, who gets caught in the crossfire first? Who is affected, who is believed? As the sky darkens and the world twists and shifts around them, two people take it upon themselves to help whoever they can, dubbing themselves anomaly hunters.
Johannes Brandt is a disgraced gay son of an industry mogul with a violent streak and intense social issues. Shunted out of paradise and cut out of the will, they're forced to find their place in the world, but the world isn't going easy on them.
Marion Somoza Fuente calls herself a reality fixer, but although she knows more about what's going on than most people, she is still way in over her head in the fight against decay. As an acerbic and closed off trans woman, she doesn't have an easy time making allies, especially when she needs them the most.
Warnings
Particle Decay is a horror of the week style collection of different people's stories, dealing with somebody new almost every chapter. Topics include mental health, trauma, loss of reality, and body horror, among others.
Drop a line in the comments if you'd like to be added to the tag list for this story! You will be notified when a new chapter is posted to AO3, character art is posted on Tumblr, or I write a larger meta post.
Hello Reburial tag list! Can I interest you in a new story?

when trying to write good sci-fi, you always need to ask yourself "Does the reader have any chance of understanding what the fuck is happening here?"
if the answer is yes, turn that into a no as soon as possible

Project that I did over on Twitter where i took the seven deadly sins and designed them as robots
Repainted to be uh.... more tumblr friendly. I have an idea for this worlds protagonist and might ramble about the worldbuilding later, will add it to the thread when I do. Naming the universe Seven Subjugations for now.

“ […] Military doctrine a hundred years ago lionized battlemages as unifying figures. Respected commissioned officers, unifying figures. Now, you don’t treat a warlock like an officer — you treat them like what they are: a human bomb. Maybe in the rough-hewn shape of a person, but every single one of those things contains enough raw energy to evaporate every drop of water in a lake and turn a city into a smoking crater, and they know it. It's up to you to make sure they stay in their place. You don’t give a bomb a seat at the officer’s table because it does its job well. You use it, and you use it again, and you keep using it until it stops coming back from the battle. Sequester it from the common soldiers whenever possible, to eliminate any camaraderie. You stifle its power by making sure it is as alone as it could possibly be."
