Got a mail from [email protected]? Scam busted. Beware!
Tumblr media
Got a mail from [email protected] and now searching if it is legit? Search no more. This alert provides enough information about the Wewe global scam which disguises itself in many ways such as message from Facebook, Norton, McAfee, Amazon, CBD Oil , USPS, Paypal, Chase Bank, Car shield, Tesco shopping e.t.c. Due to the rise in online scams, we provide genuine reviews that help you decide if a platform is scam or legit or worth your time. Do not disclose your details to any platform or pay for any service without checking its authenticity.
There have been lots of complaint from people receiving this intrusive emails, some have been scammed in the process.
Wewe Global Scam Busted
People have received emails such as:
Norton claiming your subscription has ended and you need to renew
Messages claiming you have won an iPhone
Messages offering you CBD oil
Saying you have won an Amazon prize
Facebook saying someone tried to log into my account
Outlook saying someone tried to log into my account
Messages claiming you have been shortlisted to win a Tesla car
PayPal claiming you can win a gift card worth $100
Microsoft team to set up security information in your account
One very sad thing about this messages is that it is highly intrusive. For those that have realized the scam and blocked the email, the messages keep coming.
How to prevent being Scammed?
When you get such calls or email. Ensure it is coming from a company mail they are claiming to be representing and not @gmail, @yahoo, @aol and the likes. If it is a number, pen the number down and ask the company they are representing if its a call , its far better to even drop the call without engaging them. Don’t click any links on the email or text message and don’t reply as well. Check for reviews online about the company to ascertain its legitimacy. If it involves PayPal, then checkout how to report here, if it involves your bank, send a report to your bank and immediately hotlist your card. And always ensure you don’t disclose personal details like credit card details, social security details and personal ids. You can also download spam call blocking apps on your phone.

beware of scammers posing as artists offering commissions
this user left a comment on my fic and followed up with this
Tumblr media
their first comment (which i didnt include) already sounded bot-like (they talked only about the first scene and didn't leave comments on the other chapters despite saying my fic had 'great potential')
so i let them reach out to me on tumblr only to find an empty profile
Tumblr media
so i browsed through their likes and found random posts from different fandoms. no themes or ships or anything.
very much bot behavior
then i found this warning under a post endorsing this person.
Tumblr media
naturally i reached out. and they said this.
Tumblr media
it's so disheartening that this exists in fandom spaces. i hope this would help caution others out there as i doubt it was a coincidence they reached out thru my ongoing fic that's fairly new and therefore has only a few hits and kudos-- making my profile vulnerable ig. i hope shtbags like them burn in hell:D

Yo, @billiebustupofficial I hate being a pain in the butt but this website is fishy because... Well, I will let the screenshots talk for themselves.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This seems fishy. My mom bought one of these and I'm not exactly trusting it. My gut feeling is saying "Don't trust!"
Reasons why:
1. Let's start with the big red flag. The description here matches the description for the Makeship campaign (that I missed/got screwed over both times because first one I was too late and second one my then boyfriend made a promise and never fulfilled it) to a T.
2. The fact that "official" is in the name.
3. A suspected typo on the "join".
4. A suspicious lack of reviews.
5. The feeling that it was cobbled together.
6. The GITD Barnaby plush is completely absent (makes it suspicious. The campaign ended in what? January 2024?).
Yeah. It definitely looks suspicious.
If it's a knock off, then I know exactly what I'm calling it. No spoilers!

not to be an ass but if you're giving so much to fundraisers spread around on tumblr dot com that you're out of money that is a you problem. most are asking for single digit donations or a share for other people to decide of they want to do the same. if they are a scam, make sure you lose money you can stand to lose, and if not, 100 people who can afford to donate $5 each will add up real quick for someone who needs it and will absolutely not be a waste to anybody anywhere. if you have time and energy to research multiple fundraisers yourself, awesome, and if you don't, $1 or $5 or $10 is not going to kill you, unless it is, in which case, you can simply not donate! nobody has a gun to your head. ultimately it is your decision and your judgement call if that's something you can afford to spend, scam or otherwise, vetted yourself or otherwise, as a grown ass adult with functioning free will. it is not that complicated, next question.

Also that scammer is pretending to be a Black, diabetic Palestinian while claiming that "insulin reading" photo is theirs (& they often steal photos from darker skinned Black people) but the hand in the photo is fucking white

Hello there, am sorry for stepping in your inbox without your permission. Am having a request concerning my family. My family is still living in the Gaza Strip, and like so many other families, their lives are hell right now. My family includes my father and mother, my sisters Nisreen and Yasmine and my brother Anwar. My dad is 77 years old and my mother, who I call the soul of my soul and the balm of my life, is 75 years old and confined to a wheelchair because of a war injury when she was young. My brother Anwar and my sister Yasmine suffer from diabetes mellitus type 1… They need insulin urgently and regularly. Any lack of insulin puts their lives in danger, as what happened with my older sister Ibtisam, who lost her life 10 years ago due to a lack of insulin.” Kindly donate any amount and reblog.
Just give it up already man. Don't you feel tired of trying to profit off of the back of a genocide? Or any of the other scams you've made countless blogs for?
Over 30,000 people have died in Gaza, nearly half of them children. Just a few days ago Israel started bombing the last safe city that they told everyone to evacuate to, so the number is likely even higher now. The bodies of the dead aren't even buried yet and people are still dying every moment, yet your only concern is trying to steal money from people who would otherwise be using it to help the remaining families escape from death. Do you truly care so little about your fellow humans?
Can you sleep well at night knowing that the piles of money you've stolen over the months (years?) could have been the difference between life and death for the people you impersonated? Can you live with yourself knowing that your actions have very likely led to the deaths of other human beings? Will you continue your scams even knowing that your actions have a body count? Do you have the decency to feel guilt for what you've done? Can anyone—whether a higher power or the people you harmed—ever forgive you in a way that matters?
