I like Madoka Magica because you can take any of the main characters and ship them with each other, and there’s always at least something in cannon that supports it
And even still, no matter who you ship it’s DOOMED
These girls all love each other so much and I think that’s beautiful <3
#Like even beyond the main ships#Like beyond madohomu and kyosaya#Kyoko and Mami used to be partners#Sayaka and Homura bonding over giving everything to kyuosyke and madoka respectively#Kyoko and Homura have a ton of chemistry and have similar experiences with religious trauma#Sayaka and Madoka are childhood friends#Madoka looks up to and extremely admires Mami#the doomed gays#pmmm#madoka magica#puella magi madoka magica

Yan!Batfam x homura akemi!Neglected!fem!Reader
Original idea from @selvyyr <3
Just an idea!!Don't know if i should make it series or not.
Masterlist here now!!
You were always neglected, ever since childhood heck even when you were born. You moved to tokyo with your mother, who left bruce i mean your father is such an asshole, isn't he?
Nobody there even loved you or anything, after all you were just mistake in the batfam.
In your early school days, you got suspended due to your heart disease. Then you went to school after so long, and met her.
Yes.
Madoka.
Your one and only friend.
Someone you saw as the only reason for you to keep going untill now.
Becoming magical girl and all,it seemed like fate has become jerk for you again, making you go to fathom city.
That is when you were smothered with affection and attention from the batfam, ever since you moved in.
You would quickly escape them, you didn't needed them. You needed madoka and the other girls too!You miss mami, sayaka, kyoko and MADOKA!
Even when you reset timelines,it always seemed to make you appear where you were entering the fathom city.
You need to hide your secrets, unless these affection towards you could get worse.

A while back I said I was getting more into poly shipping, and now I'm kind of really into it, so here's a list of ones I really like.

Shinji, Asuka, and Rei from Neon Genesis Evangelion, aka the Israfel Special.
I've already talked at length about them. Hell, I'm writing a whole fanfic series about them, so you know they're my fave. Once again, could not and should not work in canon, it would be a total disaster, but you can just barely glimpse the world where they could open up to one another and how good it would be for them, and man, I do wish we got to see that world.

Kyoko Sakura, Mami Tomoe, and Sayaka Miki from Madoka Magica.
KyoSaya is my number 1 ship of all time, but if they were to expand, bringing in the girl who's Kyoko's ex and Sayaka's idol is the way to go. Both girls looked up to Mami as a mentor, only for it to end badly in both cases. And Mami is desperately lonely. Having her two former proteges back in her life would be a Madokasend, while giving them some much needed grounding.
Also like the Kyoko/Sayaka/Madoka variation as well, because it's so damned cute.
David, Lucy, and Rebecca from Cyberpunk Edgerunners
(would you believe that this is the only official art of just the three of them that I could find?)
Man, Night City sucks, and they sure packed a whole lot of tragedy in a few episodes. But had things not gone down like they did, this is one that I actually see as being kind of probable. I mean, they're all traumatized outlaws used to living on the edge. Other than the whole Adam Smasher thing, the only roadblock is that Becca and Lucy didn't have much of a dynamic, but that could've easily changed had they all escaped together.

Cloud Strife, Tifa Lockhart, and Aerith Gainsborough from Final Fantasy 7.
So yeah. Guess what I've been playing lately?
Y'know, out of all the the throuples here, this one actually had the best chance of happening. Cloud had a real Betty and Veronica situation going with his tough childhood friend and the sweetheart flower girl, with there clearly being mutual attraction in both cases. However, Tifa and Aerith really don't display much jealousy and in fact become besties. Hell, if Aerith didn't go and get herself Sephirothed, this could really (and should have been) a possibility.
Alas, she did indeed get herself Sephirothed.
Hey, have they reached that point in the remakes yet? I heard there might be a chance of changing it.

Subaru Natsuki, Emilia, and Rem from Re: Zero
So, apparently this has actually been brought up as a possibility in the light novel or something? I certainly can see it, and it does probably have the best chance of actually becoming canon. I mean, I still kinda think that Subaru and Emilia are endgame, but let's face it, what he has going on with Rem is adorable, and while Emilia and Rem don't have much of a one-on-one thing, I don't really see either one really objecting.
Y'know what, let's put a pin in this and see what happens. Could come true.

Cocona, Papika, and Yayaka from Flip Flappers.
Look, Cocona and Papika were really cute and I'm glad they hooked up, but Yayaka was best girl and deserved love! Sure, she and Papika were kinda on the antagonistic side, but let's face it, Papika is like the last person to object to that kind of thing.

Painter Madoka au where she's obsessed with a small time model Homura from her childhood, her career barely afloat, modeling barely allowing her to cover her bills as she work an additional job and while people tell her to go for full time, she's too afraid of the risk to do so
Madoka has dozens of painting of her, some copies from the photos, some more stylized, some in different environments, some she changes her clothes, yet the girl remains the same
Her friends tease her for it, but she can't stop, the girl simply doesn't leave her mind, so she continues to paint her, does so for over ten years
Sees confidence slowly growing in her bones, sees her persona change, paints every detail of that change over and over until she gets it right
Homura slowly grows in popularity, not enough to be rich, but just enough to live a comfortable life with no second job, so she does so, goes full time for the meantime, absorbs every little detail she's told from her senpais
Then one day, Homura finds Madoka's profile, full of art depicting her
Too embarrassed, she simply follows from her throw away account, unable to reach out
She looks through the entire profile, sees herself far too often, 8/10 paintings depicting her and feels to embarrassed to even like the paintings as much as they deserve it
They meet when Sayaka's friend invites her to a photoshoot and allows her to bring a plus one, Madoka stares in awe, a dream come true as she watches her idol, her muse walk on the same ground as her
They don't talk that day, but Madoka manages to learn more about the girl through her coworkers, slowly bringing courage to herself and ask for an autograph
Homura herself, notices the spike in Madoka's profile, half coherent ramblings about asking for something, about being so close, about seeing Homura with her own two eyes, the other spike is the amount of paintings, more casual than her usual photoshoots, as if moments from when she's on break
On accident Homura starts a conversation with Madoka and deeply enjoys it, finds herself seeking the girl more, for some reason the profile she's following had another spike in paintings
It all leads to Homura sleeping over at Madoka's and seeing her paintings, eyes full of shock as she quietly speaks "it's you" voice full of admiration
Months later they go on their first date
Madoka's profile continues to get flooded with paintings

(Character-based SPOILER WARNING for Sayori from "DDLC" and Sayaka from "Madoka Magica")
If I had a nickel for every time a teenage girl whose name started with a "Say" had short unnaturally colored hair, blue eyes, was childhood friends with the protagonist, fell into depressive state, and was from a Japanese piece of media, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
(I accidentally added the 3rd GIF; please pretend it doesn't exist)

Characters that would punish/kill Offenderman
As a proud loather of Sexual Offenderman, I made this post of characters punishing/killing him because nobody has written scenarios of characters punishing/killing him when he was popular in the 2010s so I'm going to change that today. Also, I loathe him for being coddled by Arcanineryu and the grown adult fans (even though most of the fans are minors). I don't care if he's immortal, I just want this piece of trash dead. Not just me, but people on Tumblr want him dead too. Plus, I'm going to take away his immortality just to make him killable because he was left off the hook for FAR TOO LONG.
NOTE: For those who've never heard of Sexual Offenderman, this is the post that started it all...
Judging by her old gallery, she doesn't take sexual assault and rape seriously during her college years and treats him as a joke character.
Anyway, onto the scenarios!
Queen Sectonia
Scenario 1: Offenderman gets blasted off by Queen Sectonia. But the queen is not done yet! She teleports him back to her castle and cuts him into pieces with her dual rapiers. After that, she orders her servants and Taranza to dispose of this filthy man's remains out of her castle.
Sayaka Miki
Scenario 2: Offenderman gets stabbed in his filthy heart and head by Sayaka's cutlasses and dies. She will never let him lay a hand on her childhood best friends, Madoka and Hitomi. Not even her senpai, Mami Tomoe. Not even her childhood friend and former love interest, Kyosuke Kamijo.
Sayaka Miki if she's on the brink of despair
Alternate scenario 2: Offenderman gets his tentacles cut off, his body is bludgeoned multiple times, and his head is beheaded by Sayaka.
Mami Tomoe
Scenario 3: Offenderman gets tied up by Mami's ribbons and she finishes him off with Tiro Finale. She will not let him go near Madoka and Sayaka.
Holy Mami
Alternate scenario 3: Offenderman gets shot multiple times by Holy Mami's muskets and dies by her giant musket.
Clorinde
Scenario 4: Offenderman is taken into the Opera Epiclese and is pronounced guilty by Iudex Neuvillette. But the no-faced man requested a duel with the Champion Duelist, Clorinde as a way to escape the consequences and continue to commit atrocious crimes to the Fontainian people. Clorinde accepted the no-faced man's request to duel her. The duel commences and the two begin fighting each other. After a long fight, Clorinde shoots Offenderman in the head and pierces his filthy heart and he dies.
Doey the Doughman
Scenario 5: Offenderman gets smashed into the walls and floor and then gets eaten by Doey. But poor Doey spits him out because the rapist tasted like trash so the doughman dumps him into the bottomless pit. Doey the Doughman will always protect his friends from that creep.
Amy Rose
Scenario 6: Offenderman gets hammered by Amy's Piko Piko Hammer multiple times and she sends him flying in the air and then goes into the ocean and drowns. Amy will always protect Sonic and her friends if that creep comes around.
Caine
Scenario 7: If Offenderman was a player or an NPC, then he gets exploded into confetti by Caine.
Kinger
Scenario 8: If Offenderman was an NPC, he would die by getting shot in the head by Kinger's shotgun. If Kinger and Queenie didn't wear the VR headset, they will protect each other from that sex offender.
The Smiling Dead
Scenario 9: Offenderman gets headshotted by Mud, run over by Ken, stabbed by Melancholy, and then gets punched by Breadhead. After that, they cement the rapist.
youtube
I still don't understand why there are still grown adult fans thirsting and defending Offenderman today. Everyone needs to realize that he is nothing but a
PIECE OF TRASH.

Sword gays showdown, round 2 of bracket one
Propaganda:
For Zoro:
Literally training to be the greatest swordsman in the world. Has a special three swords technique (one blade in each hand plus one with the handle held in his teeth). I haven't read the manga or watched the anime but the live action adaptation gives me extremely gay vibes and based on the fandom things I've seen I'm not the only one
bro uses three swords. has one in his mouth. dont ask how the HELL he manages that. one day he will be the worlds greatest swordsman....after he beats the current greatest for both the titles of greatest swordsman and fruitiest swordsman. he's dramatic as FUUUCK like bro what the hell. has homoerotic fights with the local twink like everyday. directionally challenged, can and will get lost in a paper bag, doesnt know left from right...he probably cant read, too. hes too silly ngl
First of all, im in like episode 250 and so far he hasnt been shown attracted to any woman at all during the whole show so far, not even when one changed clothes in the same room as him and this is anime so you know there were other characters with bloody noses and shit. With that out of the way he wields three swords at once [two in his hands, one is his goddamn mouth dude. Its cool af trust me.] When he was little he made a promise to his best friend that he'd be the best swordsman in the world. Later she died in a tragic accident and left her sword which he still uses today. He also carries a cursed sword but he overpowers the curse with a combination of skill and sheer luck. He got stuck in a chimney. While his crewmates sail their ship he takes naps. He learned how to cut through metal by fighting a guy who could turn his body into metal blades. That's metal. He refuses to fight this liberal marine officer because she looks like his childhood best friend and its just understandably really awkward for him. He's autistic. He's a he/him bisexual lesbian. He's a gay man. He's ace/aro. He's whatever you want him to be babey!!
he has 3 swords, wields one in his mouth sometimes, his dream is to be the greatest swordsman in the world
three swords and big aroace-spec gay vibes
He not only has a sword he has *three* swords. He's absolutely gay there's no way to see this man as straight. Also one time he licked his sword for no reason and that was really funny to me so I had to mention it
Look, this man thinks about three things: Swords, His Captain, and Booze. He’s on a quest to be the worlds greatest swordsman. The Live action has a scene where he declares his undying, unwavering loyalty to his captain WHILE reaffirming his promise to be the worlds greatest swordsman. At this point His dream and his Captain are so intertwined it’s crazy. Man is so sword-y he’s got three of them. When one of his swords broke he carried its empty scabbard until he was able to give it a SWORD FUNERAL. He hears a sword is cursed and takes that as a challenge. He will literally tell his swords off for “bad behavior” when they “act up” due to being straight up cursed. He tests one by throwing it in the air and sticking his arm out to see if it is so blood thirsty and ill tempered that it will cut him. Even though he’s literally the first mate if you ask him what his role is he’s going to answer Swordsman.
He's dedicated his life to two things: becoming the greatest swordsman in the world and his captain, Luffy.Â
He mastered the three sword style. Its his style. It would've been more swords but he could only fit one sword in each hand and one in his mouth. He wants to be the world's greatest swordsman, a deal he made with his childhood best frenemy (before she died falling down the stairs). He thought he was All That at the start and was almost completely decimated by the actual Worlds Greatest Swordsman. Now, after two years forced training with that guy, he's probably in the top tier no-doubt, and honestly could already be the best but we just don't know for sure yet. Also, did I mention: he's got the whole demon/devil imagery going on at times. And he has absolutely no sense of direction! plus is a total softie when it comes to Chopper and all the children who somehow gravitate towards him. And he loves naps!
One of the guy's main goals in life is to be the best sword fighter and he fights with three swords which I think is telling enough of his skill.
For Sayaka Miki:
my favourite scene is the one where Sayaka turns off all her pain receptors to battle the shadow witch, uncaring of the damage dealt to her body, because what is a body but a decaying vessel you must eventually abandon anyway? that was very depression of her <3 Also there’s that one time (in the rebellion movie) where Sayaka stabs herself on her own sword to release the witch that dwells within her. and then she immediately gets up to fight back to back with her girlfriend. that moment lives rent free in my head. Sayaka is so depression and I love her for it:)
SHES SO GAY ITS NOT EVEN FUNNY SHE FLIRTS W THE MAIN CHARACTER HER NARRATIVE FOIL IS ANOTHER GIRL W TBE OPPOSITE COLOR SCHEME THEYRE RED BLUE LESBIAN MOMENT YOU WANNA KNOW WHAT ELSE ??? SHE COMES TO THIS FALSE REALITY LITERALLY JUST TO SEE HER GIRLFRIEND ALIVE THEY LIVE TOGETHER AND THERES A WHOLE OUTRO SEQUENCE JUST W THE TWO OF THEM SHE STUDIED THE GAY BLADE I STG also she uses a sword 🗡️ love u sayaka

so part of the reason I was saving madoka for last, in addition to it just kind of being the most recent capital f Faust Thing, is because I wanted to be able to really dedicate time to combing through its allusions to other Faust Things. I'm less than halfway through in my rewatch so this is more of a statement of intent than anything else rn but I did want to talk about my current faust enigma:
how much does this bitch actually have to do with this book

I am just going to do some spark notes here on the novel doctor faustus so bear with me
adrian leverkĂĽhn is a guy who always had a knack for music but only really got serious about it around when he contracted syphilis. he had chronic migraines all his life so he didn't realize what was happening to him until his brain started melting. in one of his syphilis migraines he has a vision of satan, who mostly just wants to talk shop with him about the pre-ww1 german music scene. eventually satan tells him that if leverkĂĽhn wants he can sell his soul in exchange for being the most famous and influential composer germany has ever known because even if he doesn't the syphilis will kill him eventually anyway. leverkĂĽhn agrees and satan further stipulates that he will never be allowed to love. also satan compares him to the little mermaid and this goes on to be a recurring motif in the book. we know about this because the narrator (zeitblom) has been bffs with leverkĂĽhn since they were kids and is obsessed with him and is the only person ever told about the vision.
rudi schwerdtfeger is violinist in leverkĂĽhn's circle of friends who claims to have no interest in women and instead asks leverkĂĽhn to write him a solo concerto. this is because, in his words, he would like leverkĂĽhn to be the father and for himself to be the mother of this piece of music. they go on like gay roadtrips together. eventually leverkĂĽhn does meet a girl he'd like to woo but he's nervous so he asks schwerdtfeger to do it in his place cyrano-style. at first schwerdtfeger complains about leverkĂĽhn not needing a woman but eventually he agrees but then HE falls in love with this girl and tragedy strikes. there's a lot of no homo-ing in the book but this character is based on one of the author's former gay lovers so like take that as you will. also of note zeitblom the narrator fucking hates schwerdtfeger because of how openly gay he acts towards leverkĂĽhn. zeitblom thinks he should be more repressed about it (zeitblom has a wife and kids but his whole life still revolves around leverkĂĽhn)
ines rodde (I'm not going to remember her last name after she got married) was childhood friends with schwerdtfeger and is from a family that used to be high society but kind of fell in stature after her dad died. to remedy this she married a rich guy but predictably she immediately got sick of him and then strongarmed schwerdtfeger into having an affair with her. he went along with it for a bit to make her happy but eventually cut her off, prompting the part I already mentioned where he told leverkĂĽhn he's not interested in women. when rodde eventually heard that schwerdtfeger was going to get married to a woman who wasn't her, she followed him after one of his concerts and there in a bus filled with all of their friends she shot him to death.
so like obviously this is all very sayaka miki adjacent but I've been trying to wrap my head around whether or not any of this is presented in a way that can be read as deepening my understanding of the text or if it's just references....it's tough! because I think other references in madoka Do enhance it (madoka's witch name being gretchen and walpurgisnacht being the ticking clock, for example)
I scoured the internet a while back to see if I could find anybody else talking about it and found these:

and I find both of these interesting because the character I initially associated with sayaka was the narrator zeitblom, who is the only catholic and tends to approach every situation with an air of moral superiority despite being hopelessly in love with this musician who will never love him back that he has nonetheless decided to dedicate his life to keeping a close watch on and writing a biography of.
but also like
sayaka sure does turn into a big musical mermaid
so like idk the jury's out. this is less a post untangling this and more of just a post presenting the arguments for this thing like three people including myself care about

Hitomi in Mira Magica
Hitomi! Well, at least what she looks like in Mira Magica she has grown up she has grown and now is an adult and works as a therapist trying to help others get through their grief like she did when her too close friends went missing
she did find her friends Sayaka and madoka only to realize their witches who want to drain all the life on earth and make a newfound heaven out of it and I know she’s kind of traumatized from it since they’re kind of haunting her now and want her to join their council
basically they’re going to try to turn her into a magical girl and then force her into a witch
They’re still wanting her to join till this day in AU she works as therapist trying to help her get through her stress
(bonus. The heart on her cheek is a witches kiss)

Yes, I use my Gacha cause I’m lazy. This is what I think she would look like as an adult though I hate how this character gets hate just because she had a crush Sayaka childhood friend, but listen she was willing to put their friendship first before their love she cares for her clearly
Why do you guys portray her eyes? Someone who hates her friends and is completely selfish When are they going to make her a magical girl?!?

Merry Christmas Sayaka-chan
A Madosaya Christmas story.
It was roughly eleven at night on Christmas Eve. A lone girl with blue hair was walking down the streets of Mitakihara. Earlier today, the girl, named Sayaka, was invited to a Christmas party at her best friend's house. However, at the last minute, she decided not to go. Why?
She was depressed.
Depressed because her crush was going out with one of her friends. Kyosuke was now dating Hitomi, and she missed her chance. A while back, she was told by Hitomi that she has feelings for Kyosuke, but wants to give Sayaka a chance to ask him out first. However, because of her being a magical girl (and the consequences it let), she was unable to fulfill that chance.
She had blown it.
So now, she was all alone. When she was invited to a party by her friend, Madoka, she was nervous. Nervous because she was going to face them. So she chose not to go and here she is now, wandering around in Mitakihara. She thought about her other friends: Mami, Kyoko, and Homura. They would question her about her problems, but she'll keep everything to herself. And Madoka...
What about her best friend Madoka?
A brief but painful sting occurred in her chest. She realize that she just abandoned her childhood friend by turning down the party invite. She now feels even more sad, because she might had hurt her best friend's feelings. If there's one thing she would never do, it would be hurting poor Madoka Kaname. She could never face her again. She's a horrible friend. She's might as well just run away for-
"Sayaka-chan!"
Sayaka turn herself around and sees a familiar pink hair girl. Obviously, she freaked out.
"Madoka? What are you doing here?"
"Looking for you, silly," Madoka puffed slightly.
Sayaka didn't know what to do in this situation. But her thoughts were wiped as soon as she saw what Madoka was wearing. She was wearing a nice pink coat with bunny mittens, and she has rosy cheeks for it's very cold outside.
She looks super cute! Sayaka thought to herself.
"Why weren't you at the party, Sayaka-chan?" Madoka asked.
Sayaka came back to reality. "Oh um... I... didn't want to go," she finally admitted.
"Why not?"
"Because... too many people, that's all," Which was half true.
"Then come on," Madoka said while pulling Sayaka's arm.
"Wh-what?"
"We're going back to my house to finish the party."
Sayaka was now lost and afraid. Did she not hear what I said?
They arrived at the Kaname residence. When they went in, no one was around. They probably went home while the rest of the family are sleeping. This was good for Sayaka because she won't had to deal with a certain couple.
"Have a seat, Sayaka-chan," Madoka said pointing at the couch.
"Um... okay," Sayaka said.
"Would you like some hot cocoa?" Madoka asked.
"Sure, thanks."
Sayaka sat on the couch while Madoka went to the kitchen. This gives Sayaka some time for herself.
The most important question was, why was she here? At first, she was afraid that she might face Kyosuke and Hitomi. But then, the way she thought about it, maybe she got her feelings all wrong. Here she thought that she had feelings for Kyosuke, but as it turns out, she only cares for his music. So she skipped Madoka's party for feelings that weren't even there.
Speaking of Madoka, all she ever thinks about was her best friend since she got here. Madoka is very sweet and nice, and she always backs her up in anything. Suddenly, Sayaka began to get a pretty warm feeling inside her chest. Could it be that she finally realize her real feelings?
"Here you go," her thoughts were interrupted by Madoka as she handed Sayaka a mug of hot cocoa.
"Oh, thank you," she thanked her.
They sat on the coach, drinking their mugs, in total silence. After awhile, Madoka finally spoke.
"I know how you feel, Sayaka-chan."
"Huh?"
"Your situation with Hitomi-chan and Kamijou-kun," this caused Sayaka to stop her drinking and stare at Madoka with worried eyes.
"Wha... what do you know?"
"That Hitomi-chan is dating Kamijou-kun and that you're depressed. When I learned that you didn't came to my party, that's where I knew that your feelings were hurt. And for that, I'm sorry," Madoka finished.
Sayaka was now stunned that Madoka had figured it all out. And now here she is, letting Madoka to take the blame. She then placed the mug on the small table and hugged Madoka.
"Don't do this, don't take the blame. Don't hurt yourself just to make me feel better. Just... please don't," she hugged Madoka so tightly that tears were now flowing out of her eyes.
Madoka then hugged her back. "What... are your feelings saying now?"
Sayaka spoke while continuing hugging Madoka. "I believe... that I don't really think I have feelings for Kyosuke."
"Really?"
"Yes. At first, I thought I did. But now, as it turns out, I was only interested in his playing. I just wanted to hear his music over and over again. And yet, I don't feel the same thing as Hitomi. So in the end, I got depressed... for nothing."
Madoka began to smiled. "I'm glad."
Then Madoka shifted herself to get Sayaka's attention. "Oh, look what's under the tree?" She then got up and approached the Christmas tree, kneel down, and grabbed something underneath it. "Oh look, it's a lone present. And it's... for you, Sayaka-chan."
"???" Sayaka has no idea what's gotten into Madoka, but wants to know where this is going.
Madoka then gave Sayaka the present and, sure enough, it was for her. She then unwrapped the gift, and it was a flat box. She then open the box and gasped of what she saw. It was a necklace of a blue stone.
"It's sapphire, your birthstone," Madoka commented.
Sayaka was flabbergasted that Madoka would give her something that looks so expensive. "Madoka... I... I don't know what to say... but..."
"Here, let me," Madoka then took the necklace and warped around Sayaka's neck. Surprisingly, she did it without looking.
"How... do I look?" Sayaka asked while touching the stone.
"Beautiful," Madoka complimented.
Then Madoka unexpectedly pulled Sayaka's hair  and placed it behind her ear, an action that felt out of character for Madoka.
"Madoka?" Sayaka was, once again, stunned.
"Can I tell you a secret?" whispered Madoka.
"Uh... sure."
Madoka got closer to Sayaka's face and whispered slowly. "I think... I'm in love with you."
Sayaka's heart was exploding upon hearing her friend's confession. Someone, who she cares so deeply about, has said they are "in love" with her. Then, on instinct, she placed her lips onto Madoka's lips and gave a long, tender kiss. This action felt right for both girls. Once the kiss was over, Sayaka whispered to Madoka slowly.
"I'm in love with you too."
Madoka was so happy that she formed the biggest smile on her face. She then grabbed hold of Sayaka and both of them began hugging and kissing. This may actually be the happiest moment of their lives.
Then Madoka got up from the couch and left the room, leaving Sayaka hanging and confused. She reappeared from the hall, holding a large blanket, and wrapped around Sayaka and herself. They both lay on the couch and began cuddling each other. The clock struck midnight, it is now Christmas night.
"Goodnight, Sayaka-chan," Madoka pecked Sayaka on the lips and closed her eyes.
"Goodnight, Madoka-chan," Sayaka holded Madoka and began closing her eyes, but she finished the rest of the sentence in her mind. And thank you for saving my life. I love you.
Across the small table, darkness and clouds began fading away slightly inside of Sayaka's soul gem. Both girls has found true love, and it happen on one Christmas night.

Of all the interpretations of Madoka's sacrifice, i find myself disagreeing with the idea that her godhood became a permanent solution/ a good ending/ an end to suffering. While magical girls no longer need to become beasts who spread misery, they are still children who are manipulated into exchanging their souls and be forced to leave the world early after being pushed to their exact breaking point. I feel that the interpretation of madokas sacrifice as a fix to the suffering of magical girls is flawed and that we see a lot of it involving sayaka. Not only her regret of leaving kyouko, and her crying when she could see her friends again at the end of Rebellion, but also Hitomi's storyline where she goes looking for her missing friend Sayaka, and as others on this site have mentioned, blames herself for Sayakas disappearance/death.
Not to mention, while the characters see this sacrifice as necessary, i also wonder how the existence of wraiths fits into this paradigm.
Granted, i see how this could be a metaphor for simply moving on in life and out of childhood, and that Homuras refusal to move on with Madoka is her struggling with letting Madoka change. But I do think that simply framing Madokas sacrifice as a solution to the suffering of magical girls is a flawed and an unnecessary binary of 'madoka is right and homura is wrong'.
Of course, the fourth movie has yet to come out, so i think we will all be disagreeing until we see the story's resolution. I personally just hope that it doesn't end with 'the demure girl next door who feels she isn't special and has no skills finds purpose in making the ultimate sacrifice of herself was narratively correct to do so'.
#madoka magica#homura akemi#pmmm homura#puella magi madoka magica#pmmm#madoka kaname#I do appreciate the posts that don't always agree w me tho#Also i joke that Homuras always right but like obvi that isn't true#I personally hope that the message or solution is something outside the binary of right and wrong but who's to say

Dahlia the 'Redeemed'/ Dahlia the Paranoid (Softlaunch)
(should i be studying? yes. will i? no. will i instead softlaunch one of my dol pc's and watch as it fades into the depths of this blog? you betcha.)
(art by @dol-dee) not pictured is Sayaka from madoka magica or cady heron/janis ian from mean girls or jennifer from rule of rose because i uh....ran out of space. whoops
You wake up.Â
The room is old. It stinks of rot and brine, as though the Forest Lake had grown legs and crawled in. Outside, the wind slams against the window pane, and red light streams in through the window. Looks like another blood moon.Â
The ground is littered. Your clothes lie in a pile next to the bed, along with some unfinished homework. No matter- you’ll finish it tomorrow in the library before class. And even if you don’t finish it, your grades are enough to tide you over. It’ll be fine.Â
A loud bang rings from outside. You look. A tree smacks against the window, and a tiny tremor ripples through the room. The framed photos on your desk shudder before settling back down.Â
You get up.Â
The red glow bathes the room in a hellish daze, and for a second everything looks unfamiliar. You know what everything is, logically: the plush teddy bear face down on your bed isn’t a drowned corpse, and the wallpaper is composed of vines, not tentacles. There is no knocking from the mirror, no red freshwater filling the room.Â
Your head itches. Your horns ache. You are forgetting something.Â
The scent of rot intensifies. A putrid scent, sinking into the nooks and crannies of the room. The tank by the window has misted over. You wipe your hand against the glass (when did you walk over here) and peer down to look inside (no turn back don’t-).Â
There is a rotting corpse inside. The slime begins to disintegrate before your eyes, the tentacles vanishing at the sides. And the smell-god the smell.
A wail rises from outside, above the sound of crashing wind and trees. You look outside the window. A pale figure stands outside, watching you.
Dahlia Tripti Rahman was not born in Dolville; no, she was born in a small flat in Oldham, to a runaway teen mother whose presence had become naught but a mystery in Dahlia's life. She was promptly abandoned by said mother to her grandparents-whose flat she'd been born in-and took off into the night, with nary even a singular look back.
Her childhood, from what little she remembered, was good. Fine. She had friends, who she played with, and family, who she loved. Her eyes set her apart-they were pink, bright pink, bordering on obscene, almost-but it was a minor thing. People thought she was cool. She was loved. Her grandparents didn't have a lot: her toys and clothes were hand me downs from other family members, she grew up in her mothers old, small room, and her fridge was rarely ever fully stocked.
Yet she was loved, and all was fine.
Then, came the move. When Dahlia was 7, the small family had sold their flat for a small, rundown house in dolville, domus street. When they moved, it was a mess, all old creaking wood and whispers and buzzing noises, lotus leaves. Dahlia was only allowed outside under adult supervision, and nothing more. It would only be later, however, that she realised why.
One night, Dahlia and her grandparents went out on a walk. It was late, and there was some tension hanging in the air. They went to the park, and walked around the fountain. Dahlia tried to grab some coins, her grandmother stopped her and-
She doesn't remember much about that night. Just a man, creeping up behind them, a stab and a scream, and next thing Dahlia knew her grandparents were dead and she was orphaned.
Dahlia had a huge family. But that family didn't live in Britain. They lived in Bangladesh, India, Germany, Sweden- no one to come and claim her, no way to get to them. Her mother had disappeared after she was born, and for all intents and purposes, Dahlia had no one. So off she went to Bailey's orphanage, and there she would stay.
She met another orphan, Robin, shortly after arriving. They took to each other fairly quickly- they were both new to the Orphanage, and Robin was perhaps the kindest person there in those early days. The other orphans thought of her as weird. She liked weird books, she had a weird smile, a strange laugh, and her eyes- her eyes were pink.
She was bullied, mercilessly and cruelly. She was the new girl, the strange girl, who didn't fit into the already cut throat nature of the orphanage youth, who was an obvious 'other'. Bottom of the pack- easy target, for orphans who were so adjusted to violence.
The days passed-well, they passed. Not good, not bad, but somewhere in between. Bailey was strict, and kept the orphans under lock and key, rarely ever letting them leave unless it was with one of the caretakers. Dahlia though- her curiosity was too strong, and she'd find ways again and again to run off to the world beyond the Orphanage, if only to be immediately taken back.
Dahlia would grow up as a curious child, wanting to explore every nook and cranny of the orphanage, yet also extremely paranoid, convinced the boogeyman was out to get her. She both cowered behind her curtain, convinced that the world was out to get her, but also pressed her face against the window, eager at any glimpse of the outside world she could get. She was a bright girl, and good at sniffing out liars. You could barely get away with anything with Dahlia, and she was a bit of a snitch (only to orphans she didn't like though. Everyone else was fine.)
Dahlia turned 18 the day before school started. She was- well, she was excited. She didn't hate the orphanage- no, she liked it. She'd managed to tamper down on her 'weirdness' and ended up making friends with many of the orphans, being a bit of a protective figure for them. She'd assist Robin in caring for the younger orphans, and grew up settling fights and disagreements. But she was so ready to just leave to straighten her wings and be allowed to go outside the Orphanage without supervision. But of course, even though she'd still look for places to live, she'd stay at the Orphanage until Uni! Bailey wouldn't mind, would she?
Oh well, Bailey didn't mind at all. In fact, it didn't seem like Bailey wanted her to leave at all…which was how Dahlia ended up, bewildered and confused, somehow having to pay off a debt she didn't know she had. She, the second upon leaving the orphanage, was assaulted, and while she managed to fight them off, realised her worst fears had been confirmed. She still had to go to school, but kept to herself in those early days, only ever talking to Robin, and then going straight to work as an Office intern. She didn't- well, she didn't think that Bailey would do something truly bad to them (even though she very obviously had a criminal background) but still…better safe than sorry?
Dahlia hated the school. Well, still hates. Filled with pieces of shit, filthy vile monsters, who couldn't give half a shit about others. The teachers- with the exception fo two- annoyed her. High and mighty fucks. Her classmates were horrid little shits, who bullied and tormented her any chance they could. And what was up with that weird guy who kept staring at her in between classes? And that one girl she ran into, who thought she owned her…ugh.
There was another normal person in the school though, besides her and Robin. A boy named Sydney who, while being incredibly religious and spacey eyed (and undeniably rather judgy) was the most normal person at the school, and Dahlia, by some miracle of nature, managed to befriend him.
Dahlia excelled in her classes. She, despite her old reservations, wormed her way into becoming the favorites of her teachers, even working with Winter on the weekends at the museum. Sure, most of her classmates thought she was a freak and stayed away from her, but Dahlia preferred it that way. She didn't need the approval of future rapists and mass murderers. Sure, maybe she wanted to sit in a crowded lunch table for once instead of sitting with Robin in a hallway or eating it with Sydney in the library but. It could be worse, right?
The debt was climbing ever higher, until it was no longer 100 euros or 150 euros but then 200, three hundred, and soon a thousand. Dahlia had been jumping from job to job, from being a shitty housekeeper to working at the cafe to working at the dog pound, but she never seemed to be able to make enough money. And after taking on Robin's debt, she was strapped for cash. So, she opened up a side business and began growing plants. Gave her some cash, but not enough. So then…she turned to stealing. And she was fucking good at it. Stripping at Briar's was dangerous, scared her- but gave her a rush all the same. And the money was good.
Soon, she stopped going in to work and began rotating between four different avenues- she'd treasure hunt on the weekends, and then the week after she'd sell the valuables to Winter and help with the exhibits. After school, she stripped and fucked at Briar's, carefully climbing her way until she could do private shows and take private clients. She'd work on her plants before school, and stole at any chance she could.
There was something…odd about the town. Something strange lurking in every corner, and Dahlia became obsessed with trying to uncover what could be behind it all. She ran across every nook and cranny of the criminal underworld trying to fit together the pieces- why did Quinn take the ivory necklace away from the museum? Who was that strange cult in the forest, or chanting away in the park? What was up with the Temple's secrecy, and how were the elites in town connected? And who was that shadowy figure following her around, attacking her every bloodmoon…
Eventually, Dahlia's dallying caught up with her. She stole one too many things, freed too may people from the pillory- she was sent to prison for months, and there Dahlia went through one of the worst periods of her life. She had to learn how to be manipulative, how to lie as though her life depended on it, how to 'play nice'. She sucked up to her fellow inmates and the gaurds, until she managed to fulfill Wren's deal and caused a mutiny in the prison, escaping. Now, Dahlia keeps her head low, and eyes to the ground. She joined the temple, has high grace, and has kept her virginity intact…just don't ask her why she and Sydney go into the temple prayer room every friday.
She's 'redeemed', so to speak, desperate to not end up in prison again. She does legitimate jobs- works for Winter at the museum, and takes to her job as a High Grace Nun with gusto. She's gone back to working in the cafe. She's redeemed…surely.
(...)
Anyways, this is her backstory (not including actual PC's she's interacted with, that would make this a whole lot more complicated.) during her actual PC launch i'll talk a little bit more about her personality, her 'quest' to save the town, all that good stuff. for now, have her backstory-very long, apologies- and a character inspo board.
Post edited putting the character inspo up top!

KyoMadoHomuSaya fantasy au
Madoka is a princess of a kingdom they're residing in, Homura and Sayaka being her childhood friends that met by chance, Sayaka being a Duke princess while Homura a baron's daughter
Madoka first met Sayaka and then Homura through Sayaka who once brought her along
When they're all about 7-9 years old, an uprising happens in Akemi's territory, her family slaughtered and Homura sold to another kingdom where she's forced to learn magic in the efforts to increase their military power
Madoka and Sayaka are heart broken, believing Homura to be dead, Madoka blamed herself as does Sayaka
Sayaka starts learning how to fight, so she could protect her only remaining friend, so she wouldn't have to lose somebody else
Madoka learns magic in secret, feeling the same as Sayaka, desperate in the off chance that Homura is alive, that she would find her
Homura meets Kyoko, another slave fighting for the kingdom she was sold to, they become friends quickly enough, trade stories, learn about each other, grow closer to an inseparable degree
Years pass by, one day, the kingdom Homura and Kyoko are in declare a war on Madoka's kingdom
Years pass by as they fight and fight and fight
Homura lost count of the amount of times she lost part of herself, the amount of time she had to replace it with homunculus parts, lost count of how many times she cried over Kyoko's broken form before they're brought back to shape with the cheapest parts
Kyoko sometimes speaks of a blue knight, an idiot who cares for her enemies, sparing them, letting them live, spoke about how fighting her was one of the few things she could say she enjoyed about the war, Homura listens as she combs her hair, humming along at the stories she's told
One day Homura is sent on an assassination task
She quietly moves through the castle, sneaking around every single guard, layers of spells shielding her
She finds the room, turning her body to gas as she moves through the cracks and materializes in the middle of it
She stalks to the bed, raising the crossbow before freezing
She knows who this is
Knew who it is
Her best friend, one of them at least
She falls flat on the floor with shock before fear grabs her by the throat, burn of the slave mark urging her to follow orders
Shaky breath Homura collects herself enough to pull out a dagger
She tries to plunge it in her heart but is stopped by restraints appearing out of nowhere, the princess waking up as she stares in shock, a little bell is ringing near her bed
Did she recognize her? Impossible, her face was still obscured
Madoka shakily speaks, her voice cracking up as she does so "H-homura...? Is t-that really you?"
Que to them chaining Homura down so she doesn't kill herself, putting as much spell weakening as they can so that the slave mark can be removed, problem is, the replaced homunculi flesh starts to come off as well, forcing a lot more work all the while, being made more homunculus than human through the years of battle
Sayaka cries at the sight, grasping onto Madoka as she stares at her childhood friend lay there in agony as she keeps sobbing, asking for 'Kyoko' all the while
It's a while before they can get any information out of her, they learn what happened, how Homura survived, how much she had to go through
One day Kyoko burst in, fury shaking her body as she launches herself at them, a fight starts, it takes hours before Kyoko is apprehended, eventually getting all the information Kyoko gives up, after days of persuasion from Homura she gets the same operation as her, releasing her from servitude
War ends at some point, Homura's title is enstated back, Kyoko assigns herself as her knight, following her everywhere
There are rumors about them being lovers
Other rumors tell the tale of baronesses and queen's love story
Another of the duchess and the knight
Some about the duchess and the princess
And of course some insisted that duchess and the baronesses were lovers too
Nobody is sure which one is the truth, only that they're intertwined in some way
#pmmm#homura akemi#madoka kaname#miki sayaka#kyoko sakura#KyoMadoHomuSaya#tagging all the other ships is too much effort so this is all#this was supposed to be a MadoHomuSaya one#but Kyoko came in and asked “what about me”#i couldn't refuse her#fantasy au
