i wish people would stop arguing and saying "AI art isn't real art" and instead focus on the actual issue, which is that it's currently based on wide-scale art theft and unethically built by using other people's work without their knowledge or consent. you can't define what "is and isn't" art, it's an abstract concept and a complete non-issue. the real issue is the stolen artwork it was built on!!

repeat after me: we are NOT going to start saying "It looks AI generated" as an insult when we personally think a piece of art is bad, lackluster, or doesn't make sense. We're not going to try to discredit artists just because we don't like what they made.

Personal feelings is NOT how we're going to differentiate between human made art and AI generated images

AI generation is not perfect, and neither are human artists, so just pointing out a flaw here and there is not enough, and you risk hurting an actual artist if you're wrong.

Nip that shit in the bud and stop it

I'm really glad Tumblr as a whole has turned against AI art. I remember speaking out against it in a post that blew up a little less than a year ago and getting a lot of angry leftists arguing that AI is actually very socialist and good for the worker, which was incredibly disheartening.
