i'm honestly not so sure how they'd go about the stories to this card. i have one fear is that of they pull out a "and he woke up, and it's all a dream" THOUGH i think that'll depend on the execution of the story itself.

BUT SOME THOUGHTS ON THE DOG TAG AND THE HIS KEY. while the dog tag does symbolize burden and trauma, i do think to some extent it does represent his sense of duty and how it's proof of all the adversities he has overcomes throughout his whole life time. the way the metal has crinkled, just like how that scars are proof of how one has survived through pain, the dog tag serves as a reminder of how far he has come. how it's hard metal contrast the delicate touch of the butterfly... FUCK, SORRY I'M GOING ALL POETIC, but at least in chinese belief, i do like how the butterfly symbolizes the human soul, freedom and love, while in the western context, it means rebirth, hope and transformation (google, 2022) (WHICH BOTH IS VERY FITTING TO LUKE'S STORY). BUT HOW IN THE PV IT'S LUKE'S BUTTERFLY THAT BREAKS THROUGH, just shows how he's broken through the dark and his own "fate". GAH GAH GAH.

I THINK, THE KEY. THE KEY HOLDS SO MUCH MEANING WHEN HELD SIDE BY SIDE WITH THE DOG TAG AND THE PV. (I HOPE IT'S MAKING SENSE) BUT YES, the whole theme of luke's pv (at least what my current thoughts are) it's a lot about breaking free, and rewriting his fate (his demise to his illness). AND THE KEY IS SO MUCH MORE SYMBOLIC NOW. CAUSE ROSA IS THE ONE GIVING THAT KEY TO LUKE. SHE IS LITERALLY GIVING HIM "THE KEY" TO BREAK FREE FROM ALL OF THAT. ZAK.... FUCK, i need to lie down.

now that i think about it, the scene with the suitcase is also very symbolic (BOY DO I LOVE SYMBOLISM). he runs the opposite direction from the crowd. his suitcase is his literal baggage. it's all his memories with rosa before the nsb, and the way he trip and falls, as that suitcase opens and drops everything. "i realized everything i treasured had already disappeared". he's lost everything, or he THOUGHT he lost everything. he was so ready to throw everything down the drain. now isolated in his hospital bed, and the iv drips down. but "FATE IS KIND.
