…look
I was gonna say “ya girl/boy” and then realized very not true soooo I considered “ya guard or captain” but gave up 😂
And yes she is cosmic change my mind /lh
That said
Am I not the one who told you I think Madam Grace made a Reddit purely to identify Cerberus in a photo?
If she cared to see our bad takes and ridiculous love for her character, I have no doubt she’d make an account here lol and I would be the second to follow (after you, of course. I yield to my superiors). I’m still weirdly star struck you even could send it I’m sure I’d be hit by a meteor if you did. (And maybe I’d die. Or maybe I’d get superpowers. Who knows).
Anyways this reply is getting long and wierd so consider this glimpse into my (one) brain to be a bizarre three (headed) love letter to our friendship, the gender envy Hadestown gives. (The only way I’m a woman is Cerberus way; I’m an Orphic man, thanks very much), and the ruthless steampunk not-a-dog who beats up the dude bro orphenator (a term beyond gender cosmic blorbo will never match or meet).
me: the staging of the fates in a triangle on the wall in front of hadestown is a deliberate reference to cerberus, hades’s three-headed dog that guarded the underworld. they are the three heads that snarl and bare their teeth to try and bar orpheus from entering hadestown to rescue eurydice. throughout the show, the fates are also compared to a rattlesnake, another reference to the myth in which eurydice dies from a snakebite on her wedding night. this is intentional on anaïs and rachel’s part to further illustrate the divide between the fates, the gods, and the mortals. the fates are ubiquitous beings that take on many forms and exist to plant the seeds of doubt and anxiety and discomfort in both the characters’ and the audience’s heads, and they need to be seen as such. not as gods, nor as mortals, but as separate entities.

i finally watched headless: a sleepy hollow story and oh. my. god.
every line of dialogue, every shot, every costume, every tiny detail in the background of every scene, all of it was captivating.
my knowledge of the legend of sleepy hollow is extremely limited. when i was around five or six i watched the first fifteen minutes of the disney cartoon, before my grandmother shut it off saying it was "too scary" (although i disagreed. i was six, i wasn't gonna win) and that was the end of that.
but i don't need to be the #1 washington irving fan to know that shipwrecked did it right. it was comedic, it was spooky, it was heart-warming and heart-wrenching and i loved it.
i know of almost everyone in the cast from different projects, but they blend so beautifully here you forget you're watching a show (even with jon cozart breaking the fourth wall to beautifully sing at you)
so anyway if you haven't seen it yet, i highly suggest setting aside two and a half hours to watch this masterpiece (and all other shipwrecked masterpieces) because you will want to press play again right after.
alright i'm done being sappy but i just really loved it and i have a lot of feelings

My, we are becoming adept at this murder game, are we not? Yes, indeed, Miss Brontë. Yes, indeed.
